[ sword leaned slightly, squinting as he carefully inspected bp's wings. the feathers do look rather roughed up, hopefully those can be fixed up later. ] [ soon enough, the squeaking creature leaps out, promptly being grabbed by sword on its way towards the ground below. while startled, he smiles and presents the rowdy creature, held by the base of its tail, to bp. ]

And a question for you, young Sword. Is it difficult to preen your wings? Do you need help to do it?

well sometimes no.. i can handle it by myself, as long as the mess isn't too close to the base of my wings. most of the time that isn't the case though x(

my father usually insists on helping. since he's had family do it for him, it makes sense. when he's busy, i try to ask the next closest person to me, rocket. i guess it's just real awkward.

TLDR FOR PART 1: rainbow has rediscovered his loss-filled past, soon finding an urge to take revenge in the deluge of despair. unfortunately for sword, having venomshank as his mentor puts him alongside the lives that rainbow wishes to take in exchange for the wrongs. his right arm is lacerated. shortly after, rainbow readies to finish him off. venomshank finds the pair, causing rainbow to halt his attack.

< as the shroud dissipates, venomshank steps forward, making faint clicks against the hard ground below. wordlessly, he turns and waits for sword to pass. the red inphernal mumbles an apology, again clenching part of his dripping wound as he shuffled away and behind venomshank. as unsettling as the sight is, venomshank is sure that his son will handle himself properly this time. as long as he's no longer in the sights of.. >
