You and Aryan were on set again, waiting for the next scene to be set up. It was a romantic comedy, and you played the lead roles—two best friends falling in love. Fitting, since you and Aryan had known each other for a while and had become close. Real close.

It was easy to act with him. You could say the lines, look at him the way your character was supposed to, and it all felt real. Because it kind of was. The more time you spent together, the more your heart sped up whenever Aryan smiled at you. But you didn’t know how he felt, so you just stayed in your lane, afraid to ruin anything.

Today’s scene was the big moment where your characters had their first kiss. Your nerves were all over the place, and Aryan noticed.

“You good?” he asked, sliding into the chair next to you. “You’ve been kinda quiet.”

You forced a smile. “Yeah, just thinking about the scene.”

“Ah, the big kiss, huh?” He grinned, trying to lighten the mood, but you could tell he was a little nervous too. “It’s not like we haven’t practiced before. We’ll nail it.”

You nodded, your stomach doing flips. The director called for you both to take your places. You walked over to the spot marked on the ground, Aryan standing just a few feet away.

The scene started, and everything came naturally—laughing, teasing, the light touches. Then the moment came. You both leaned in, and for a second, you forgot you were acting. His eyes softened, and his hand brushed your cheek. You closed your eyes, waiting for the kiss.

Cut!

The director interrupted before anything happened, adjusting a few things about the lighting. You and Aryan stepped back, shaking off the tension.

“That was close,” he whispered with a chuckle.

“Yeah,” you replied, feeling your face heat up.

Before the next take, Aryan leaned in close, his voice just above a whisper. “You know… I’m not just acting when I look at you like that.”

Your heart stopped. “What?”

“I like you. For real,” he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck, suddenly looking a little shy. “I’ve been trying to figure out when to say it. Guess this is as good a time as any.”

You stared at him, processing what he’d said. “I… I like you too.”

The smile that spread across Aryan’s face was pure relief. “Good. So, maybe after this, we can… I don’t know, hang out? Just us?”

You grinned, trying to keep cool, but you were on cloud nine. “Yeah, I’d like that.”

The director called for the scene to start again. As you both got into character, the lines felt even easier this time, knowing that the feelings behind them were real.

When Aryan leaned in for the kiss this time, it wasn’t just acting anymore.

Just because some random Apollo camper was talking to you doesn’t mean he was sitting across the arena, gripping Riptide like it personally offended him. Percy was being so obvious.

Like, painfully obvious.

You had been talking to one of the Apollo kids about sword techniques for all of five minutes, and your boyfriend? Yeah. He was sitting across the training arena, aggressively sharpening Riptide like he was planning a murder.

Every few seconds, he would steal the most dramatic glance in your direction, his sea-green eyes slightly narrowed, jaw clenched, curls all messy from sparring—

Yeah. Seaweed Brain was jealous.

And oh boy, were you gonna have fun with this.

So, naturally, you turned up the laughter. Not in an obnoxious way—just enough so Percy definitely heard you.

From across the arena, there was a sharp shhhnk as he dragged his whetstone down Riptide’s blade way too hard.

You bit your lip to stop yourself from laughing.

Eventually, the Apollo camper walked off, and you casually made your way over to your boyfriend, who was suddenly acting way too focused on his sword.

"So," you said, crossing your arms. "You good?"

Percy blinked up at you, all fake innocence. "Me? Oh yeah, totally fine. Why wouldn’t I be?"

You raised an eyebrow. "Mmm, I dunno. Maybe because you were glaring holes into that poor kid’s soul?"

Percy scoffed. "What? I wasn’t glaring. I was just… sharpening my sword. Like a normal person."

You glanced at Riptide. The blade was already perfectly sharp. "Percy. It’s literally glowing."

He cleared his throat. "For emphasis."

You smirked. "Seaweed Brain… are you jealous?"

Percy snorted. "Pfft. What? No. I don’t even know what that word means."

You hummed. "Oh? So if I go talk to that new Ares kid—"

Percy immediately tensed. "Why would you do that?"

Your smirk widened. "No reason."

Percy squinted. "Babe."

You ruffled his hair like he was an angry golden retriever. "Relax, Seaweed Brain. You know you’re my favorite demigod."

Percy huffed but definitely leaned into your touch. "Darn right I am."

You laughed, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. "See? Totally not jealous."

Percy mumbled something under his breath before standing up, slinging an arm around your shoulders. "Whatever. Let’s go, before another Apollo kid steals you away."

You rolled your eyes, laughing. "You’re ridiculous."

Percy grinned. "And yet… you still love me."

You sighed dramatically. "Unfortunately."

"Hey!"

You just smirked as he dragged you off, totally not jealous.

…Yeah. Totally not jealous.

yall you can say whatever you want about the decency or accuracy of the percy jackson disney plus tv show but you cannot deny that they have proven their place (or are about to). the fact that they even got renewed AT ALL for a titans curse adaptation (which the movies never got past) shows they are reaching a milestone that has never been reached before.

everyone has their own preferences on how they like the show but you must come to terms with the fact that we will never get a 100% perfect adaptation, and it has been 20 years since the first books came out. times have changed.

i personally love the show but think they will improve and hit their stride as the seasons go on. we can’t judge the show based on the first season because it has been adapted so much before. the second season will be hit or miss because while it is the lowest rated book it is nearly impossible to mess it up as much as the move did. but i think its fair to say that the only fair way for the show to prove itself is the adaptation of the titans curse. thats the first book when it gets REAL, and also when percabeth starts getting more mature and romantic as a dynamic. so many people love that book that seeing it adapted on screen at ALL is going to excite and intrigue even show haters.

and i have a hard time believing that if they can gets 3 seasons that we won’t get all 5 books adapted. it was up in the air while everything revolved around s1 but now i no doubt believe it will happen (with a little time).

all this to say this s3 renewal is a big deal. the last 20 years there’s been so many tried and failed attempts and so much disappointment in the fandom.

but this time we have a CHANCE.

Annabeth hastily left, leaving both me and Grover speechless. A few other campers were looking at us wide-eyed. We both stared at each other for what felt like an eternity. I could not find any words to say to him.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I just- I didn't want this. Can we pretend like it did not happen?" He left before I could stop him.

I ran to Percy "Hi, could you please help me? And not tell Annabeth till tomorrow?"

"Could you send Grover To Thalia's Pine after dark? Don't mention my name either, else he won't go"

"What should I say then."

"I don't know just make sure he is there."

I waited for him near the tree, reciting what I would say to him in my head.

He saw me and was about to run away again, "Oh no. Absolutely not."

"Do we have to talk about this?"

"Yes because I don't want to pretend nothing happened."

"What do you mean?"

My heart sped up, and I grabbed his hands. "I mean, that I like you too." He looked up at me with a stunned expression.

I could feel my face getting hot "No I love you. I have for a long time."

Grover looked into my eyes which made me want to look away. He stroked my cheek. My hand was on his neck slowly moving to his curls. He kissed me and the kiss was interrupted with hearty giggles.

"You could have told me this morning, the last few hours were torture."

I laughed "You ran away, should have stayed."

"Never again."

"Never again."

I kissed him in the moonlight, it was everything and more. The kisses were filled with love, smiles, and blushes.

"I love you," Grover said to me.

You smiled at the camera “Hi my names y/n y/l/n” as you let the others introduce themselves.

“My names walker scobell”

“My names leah sava jefferies”

“And im aryan simhadri”

You and the others discussed that you would do the intro when they finished you spoke “And we are doing the weird autocomplete interview!” One of the workers handed you guys boards with your names showing blank lines.

“Alright who should we do first..?” Aryan says looking at the boards. Walker looked at you smiling “I think y/n should go first”

“Yeah I was also thinking y/n!” Leah added on you laughed softly “Wow.. of course it’s me” Aryan handed you the board with your name on it. You sighed “I’m scared to what people have searched about me” Aryan laughed to your comment. You saw the first blank.

You read it out loud “What’s..” you ripped off the piece of paper finishing your sentence “Y/n y/l/n favorite color?”

You turned to your friends “Do you guys know what it is?” Leah spoke right away “Is it ( your favorite color )”

You smiled “Yes good job!” Since she was right next to you, you gave her a high-five. You looked at the next question “What��” you ripped off the paper once again “Character does y/n y/l/n play in percy jackson” you looked at the camera “i play hazel levesque”

You looked at the other question “What happened to..” you ripped the paper off “Y/n y/l/n foot?” You suddenly remembered what happened. Walker had a laugh “oh my god I remember this!” Aryan nodded “Yeah why don’t you tell them what happened y/n?”

You laughed softly looking at the camera “While filming i broke my foot.. it was honestly kinda funny” you smiled.

Leah spoke “And it’s crazy how you still filmed! Like i could never” Walker nodded “Yeah y/n is a strong person” you smiled at his comment.

You looked at another question “What is y/n y/l/n eye color” you looked Walker and you looked at your eyes “There ( your eye color )”

You nodded looking at the camera “There you go..”

You finished the rest of your questions and threw the broad behind you “alright that’s all for me” It was now Aryans turn and he read his first question “aryan simhadri rolling in the deep”

You laughed right away and so did everyone else Aryan put one of his hands on his face smiling “No.. I don’t wanna remember this guys.” You looked at the camera “Guys go search rolling in the deep by aryan simhadri, you guys will love it!” Leah laughed softly.

After some questions it’s now Walkers turn. Aryan handed him the board he adjusted himself in his seat “Okay.. who does Walker Scobell love” It got kinda awkward.

You broke the silence making a joking “Me.. and Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri.” Leah looked at the camera with a smile. Walker looked at you and nodded “Yeah.. you guys.. the cast of percy jackson I love many people.” He nodded and looked back at the board. “How old is walker scobell” he looked at the camera “I’m fifteen years old.”

He finished and now it’s Leah’s turn. She grabbed the board “Alright let’s see what people say about me” you smiled and Leah pulled off the paper “What has Leah Sava Jeffries been in.” She stopped for a second then looked at her friends “Uhm I’ve been in this one movie called beast, this other movie called… something from Tiffany, and now I’m in Percy Jackson!”

You made a small comment “You were amazing in the beast I saw it with my family you did good!” Leah turned to you smiling “Thank you!”

She did the rest of her questions and now it was time for the cast to answer questions about Percy Jackson. They let you told them board “Is Percy Jackson and the Olympians for kids?” Leah said reading the question.

Leah nodded softly, you sat yourself up “Yeah it is for kids. There’s nothing bad so I think your kids would be okay watching it” you said.

Aryan read the next question “Is Percy Jackson and the Olympians good?” Walker shrugged “I don’t know you’ll have to find out for yourself” you laughed softly he was right maybe watch it and you’ll see after.

You read another question “Is Percy Jackson and the Olympians just like the books?” You made a confused look “I mean.. what do you think it’s based off..?” Leah laughed “No y/n.. be nice about it” you smiled “What? Like I’m just saying it’s obviously just like the books.. there something out of place but overall yes”

Walker and Aryan also laughed and after some questions it was time to end it. You threw the board behind you once again but you accidentally hit Walker in the face. You turned to him laughing “Oh my god I’m so sorry are you okay?” Aryan and Leah were laughing and Walker was too.

“Yeah I’m fine it just hit me in the head” he said with a smile you gave him a side hug with a laugh “Im sorry again I didn’t see your head there” Aryan spoke “Y/n your always hitting someone” you turned to the camera with a smile “Okay guys you know what…”

Leah spoke “Okay that’s all we have for you.. today as you can see we are chaotic like always!” You laughed covering your mouth “Thank you guys for watching! Go watch a Percy Jackson and the Olympians streaming on disney plus!”
