AIm not particularly doing anything inspirational or fun atm. I did hit my reading goal I think. I'm going to have to go back and count and then maybe write a long write-up on that subject that nobody but me cares about but I enjoy my own meandering.

I also kinda feel like I have a creative plan that I feel might be genius but just because its genius doesn't mean I can pull it off or be successful at it or even be inspired at it.

otherwise I have a couple artists works coming in that were gifts for me or support for other artists and I'm kind of excited about that.

My husbands gone on army business for who knows how long and I'm running out of my yearly goals. The only thing I have left on my to-do-list really is "do more than one pull up" and "finish dragon quest xi so I can start spiderman on the ps5"

just for histories sake I watched the entire olympic opening ceremony and I guess despite corona I was expecting some sort of a digital and visual feast for the eyes..and nope..

Background art is my passion. We're in a love hate relationship LOL

I've been working on this piece since October at least and it's definitely been frustrating at times. Mainly because I don't plan out my compositions before drawing.

Background art is something I've put on my bucket list of (a gazillion) things I want to improve on this year. Although I haven't drawn many full backgrounds , I can see bits of improvement here and there.

Looking forward to seeing the final piece! (I also plan to continue my Little Nightmares II fanart, hopefully)

"This is Maybe a Tree" + The title came out of this piece at the tail end of drawing it. Nothing specific to look into, just thought that it could be a tree, but it may just as easily not be a tree. Who knows what it is, really. Just tried to fumble around and grasp something from the ether ✨ + On that note, I've been giving a lot of thought to what my "idea" or "thesis" or "theme" is in my artwork. What is it that I'm trying to communicate? What's my message? Hard to put to words, and a lot of people have opinions on what this should be. For me, I enjoy when the purpose or meaning of the piece shows through during the process. Like it's presenting itself to me as a reward for committing to the work. For that reason, it can be hard to start sometimes, and I'm thinking I should try to balance the "finding meaning in the process" with "allowing an idea to initiate the process" because I believe if I employ both paradigms, I'd have less doubts and therefore, higher output of art. I'd like to have a higher output of art, so I'll continue to mull this over. Hard not to like something so deeply in spirit and style of the series we both love! Your fan digimon designs are some of the most authentic I’ve ever seen. I’ve tried with a few of my own (even have em up on my youtube channel as speedpaints) but I just can’t completely grasp it. I get the inspiration and theming side down fine, but the designs are so hard to match!

Oof, I love the design, but I'm sorry to say there's already a Nidhoggmon, and they're a recent Ultimate level! I would link it, but tumblr hates links.

Recurring icons and characters popping up here and there for the audience to discover is an important aspect of the feeling I try to communicate. I’m a big fan of the mantra, “Look More, See More” and would like for the people who pay attention to stumble upon little pockets of familiarity.
