But there’s watermarks on it

True. But are those watermarks legible? A lot of artists have their signature but have it small enough that it doesn’t interfere within the art. Some artists are recognizable by their style. But still, they deserve to be linked back and credited! If you like one piece of art, chances are, you’re going to like other art they do. 

But I can’t read it, so... 

You’re in luck! Google is nifty in the sense that it has reverse image lookup. You can do this on both mobile AND desktop/ (So, really, no excuse).

Now, as you can see, it’s NOT coming up with ME. In this case, it’s showing people that have retweeted me. (insert a mini fangirl moment that LadyRandomBox retweeted my art, okay?) 

So, in my case, you can read my watermark and therefore, I erased the google suggested “gentleman” and put in lotrspnfangirl. Now, it comes up like this:

And gives the original posts and a very easy way to credit the artist, because it pulls up most of my social medias!!!

Now, second piece of art is this: 

Sometimes, you get all of the pinterest boards (credit should almost NEVER come from Pinterest. It’s notorious for providing false credits). Twitter is USUALLY a safe bet. DeviantArt is always a safe bet. So, I clicked the twitter and....

Credit on the picture says By Marcia... which could be anyone. Artist credit is on Twitter at Депрессио@You_Depressio and a nice link to their direct art page!

But does it really matter?

Yes. If someone took pieces of your art, or your fiction, or your photo ops and just... put them out there without credit, letting people believe that THEY were the creators? That’s not okay. That’s plagiarism. THIS is why people are so upset. This is why artists refuse to allow their works to be reposted and why watermarks are getting larger and obscure the pictures.

If you can’t credit your artists? You don’t deserve to enjoy the art.

The first time Cas let Dean help groom his wings, Dean thought that the angel seemed uncomfortable. He chalked it up to the pain of his injuries, since with his wings hurt and his grace weakened, Cas was in agony and vulnerable. Cas held himself stiffly, his jaw clenched, his eyes screwed shut as Dean gently brushed out ash and debris, straightening crooked feathers where he could, and carefully removing the ones he couldn't save. Dean wasn’t even sure he was helping, because Cas flinched so often, a tight-lipped grimace on his face. He repeatedly paused, trying to get Cas to tell him what he could do differently, to make it easier on Cas, but Cas merely shook his head, avoiding eye contact. Even Dean knew that was weird for them.

When he sat behind Cas to work on the backs of his wings, he couldn’t help but notice an unfamiliar, but absolutely incredible scent. He didn’t have the words to describe it, and he realised as he brushed out Cas’ wings that the scent was coming from Cas’ wings. That explained why he didn’t recognise it. He’d never been so close to Cas when his wings were out before, much less had his hands on them. He kept his mouth shut though since he didn’t know if asking would be the angel equivalent of commenting on a dude’s B.O. But damn, that smelled so good, and time after time, Dean found himself leaning closer, breathing deeply to capture that scent. He felt like a creeper, but there was something addictive and yet soothing about it. He just hoped Cas never noticed.

Dean helped groom Cas’ wings several more times over the years, carefully refraining from the urge to bury his face against Cas' wings and breathe in that scent, which had quickly become intoxicating.

He asked if anyone was interested.”

Castiel blinked. “Nick? Nick is the reason you’re here?” “I can leave if you want,” Dean said, “But it’d be a shame.” Castiel snorted as he went to grab his cellphone so that he could call Nick and ask him just what the hell he was trying to do. “Yeah, why?” “Because that dress looks good on you, and I kinda want to see if you wear matching panties.”
