Hello, I'm new and desperate. I am remembering certain things but am unsure if it comes from one or multiple different fics from ao3. So here's what I remember

•Hermione time travels. I'm unsure if she is a slytherin or ravenclaw.

•Hermione kills the basilisk with roosters and finds a scroll in the chamber of secrets.

•Tom has many snakes about the castle as his eyes and ears. He transfigured a snake for Hermione but it was a rebel (turned out to be a basilisk) and didn't follow her in the begining. He also tells her the snakes names.

•Tom is notified that some younger slytherins were caught in a dresser/cabinet where he takes Hermione to solve how to get them out. She reads the signature of the creator of the cabinet. Tom takes them out and replaces them with a snake in exchange.

•Tom is either head boy or prefect with one of Hermione's shy slytherin roommates. But idk if this is in the same fic.

•Lastly, there's a fiery red dome/forcefeild near campus and nobody knows why. Tom is summoned (in front of hermione) to help with keeping it at bay.

The main fic I'm trying to find is the one where he made Hermione a snake.

We've parsed this out into three different fics.

Jormungandr meets most of the elements in this ask including: many snakes in the castle; rebel snake; younger kids in the cabinet; head boy; red dome; and time travel.

We've been unable to find one where Hermione finds a scroll in Chamber of Secrets or where Tom turns her into snake. However, The Naga Potion series has Hermione turning herself into a snake. Hermione uses a rooster to kill the basilisk in New Blood, which isn't a tomione fic exactly.

Oooo. Hmmm. Make a big investment on my self-expression. I did that in smaller ways this year and the rush of getting to make those choices for myself was insane. I'd love to scale that up even more in 2023.

14. Favorite book you read this year?

SUCH a good question. Honestly my favorite pieces of writing this year have all been fan creations. "In the face of your light" by @noverturemusings was my favorite fic of the year, but I've also been reading New Blood on AO3 and FFN by an author called artemisgirl, and it's truly phenomenal. So a tie between those, I think.

20. What's something you learned this year?

Oh jesus. I learned a TON this year, but nothing as important as realizing that I really am enough. I am big on self-help and personal healing, and I've been practicing that a whole lot since 2020 kinda broke the self-reflection pot right open. I've been working on everything---trauma, self-esteem, healthy boundaries, limiting beliefs---and the greatest lesson I'm walking away with this year is that I'm okay. I'm really okay. I'm in that stage of healing where I've started to treat it like a race---like I'll get to the finish line and finally be Healed and Complete, with nothing left to do. I've recognized that that isn't the goal, nor is it true to life. We are all works in progress. And I'm okay with who I am in this moment. More shall come, but I'm okay where I am. That's been pivotal.
