Tatreez raffle to benefit a Palestinian family

You know the drill! This tatreez piece is stitched in cotton embroidery thread on sage green linen, and is suitable as wall art, or to be repurposed as a cover for a cushion, tote bag, &c. A winner will be randomly selected in October, 2024.

You can get your hands on this piece in one of two ways:

Enter the raffle by sending me proof of a donation of at least $10 USD to Muhammad Abu Hamam's campaign.

Send me proof of a donation of at least $500 USD (I know, but this took a lot of hours!) and I will stitch another one, or something similar, just for you.

Send proof of a donation of at least $7 USD for a link to the pattern.

This is a physical product and you will need to be willing to give me a shipping address.

Rules for entry:

The charity we have selected for this event is the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, an organization that has been around for over 30 years helping get humanitarian aid to the children of Palestine. One $5 USD donation to PCRF = one entry.

Every $5 USD that you donate will get you one entry. You may make as many entries as you wish during the raffle time frame. (For example, a $20 USD donation will get you four entries.) If you are outside of the US, please donate the amount in your currency that equals $5 USD per entry.

If for some reason you cannot donate to PCRF specifically, but would like to join by donating to another charity or fundraiser, please reach out to us first.

You must be 18+ to enter. We will be checking your blog for a clear age indicator.

To enter, either fill out our form or send an ask directly to our ask box. You must attach proof of donation to your entry. PCRF will send you a donation receipt in your email. This will have the time and date of your donation. Please use that email to screenshot your proof. This screenshot must include the time, date, and amount of donation. We ask for this specifically to prevent people from submitting duplicates. Here is an example of the email, with the time, date, and donation amount highlighted in yellow:

Please submit this proof either via the Google form below, or via our ask box (either off anon or with your blog URL). Please be sure to redact any private information, such as your email address and your name.

There will be a total of 12 winners:

One winner will receive a 2-character half body colored artwork from @/haio_won (Twitter). (The winner for this option will require a Twitter account to communicate with the artist). The art will be in full color, with no background or a simple color background.

One winner will receive a 2-character colored YCH artwork from @bloompompom. See above photo for YCH poses (choice of yellow or pink).

Two winners will receive art from @rossithepixie. One winner will receive a 2-character colored artwork. The other will receive a stylized portrait of 1 character.

Two winners will receive sketches from @persicipen. Each sketch will feature 1-2 characters, either black and white or with minimal color, and no background.

Two winners will receive sketches from @rabbbitseason. Each sketch will feature 1-2 characters, either black and white or with minimal color, and no background.

One winner will receive a sketch from @ruiaes. The sketch will feature 1-2 characters with minimal color and minimal background/props.

Three winners will receive either a chibi artwork or a bust artwork (winner’s choice) from @yandereshingeki. Color optional.

There will be no repeat winners. Winners will be chosen by the ficsforgaza mods via random number generator on December 25.

Winners will be contacted via Tumblr DMs by one of the mods. Please have your DMs open to blogs you don’t follow, and/or your ask box open to anons. If we cannot reach you within a suitable time frame, we will select another winner.

Once you have been selected, you will be responsible for communicating with the artist directly on what you would like to do for your art, including supplying poses, characters, clothing, and other references. The time frame at which the art will be delivered to you is up to the artist’s discretion. Acceptance of the specifics of your request is up to the artist’s discretion (for example: if you request something that they cannot create for you, please work with them to request something else).

When requesting art, please abide by the artists’s individual rules and requests. Do not post artwork without credit/permission from the artist. Do not use their art for commercial purposes or for use with AI/NFTs. Do not claim their art as your own. Above all, please respect the artists who have dedicated their time and efforts to this event.

Prizes for this raffle will be delivered to the winners digitally. There are no physical or monetary prizes to be awarded.

I have been passing too many follower milestones that I could not keep up with while working on my comic and now that I'm back from my trip too, it's time for a little surprise. Wanted to give back to you guys a lil. So here is the plan…

I will be drawing a big piece with Tear, everyone's OCs around and few more known Sanses. You guys would also get the original A2 file as a download. There is no specific raffle slot amount, as I will try to squeeze in as many characters as I can. Aim is to have at least 40 characters in the drawing. I will use random number generator to pick OCs that get drawn. Mutuals are automatically guaranteed to be drawn. The art itself will take a long time to make, as it's a big piece, so please be patient.

Hey all! In light of the State of things I've decided to hold a raffle to help out fundraising efforts! If you'd like a chance to win some cool art while lending aid to those in need, read on.

Raffle Prizes

1st place: Anything goes! Full body drawing with a detailed background, or something simpler– you name it. Just up to two characters please.

2nd place: Painted waist-up view, up to two characters, simple background

3rd place: Painted portrait, single character + simple background

I’ll be drawing names for 5 winners in total: one for 1st place, two for 2nd place, and two for third. If you'd like to see more samples of my work you can find them here.

How to enter:

Donate $5 USD(or rough equivalent) to a legit fundraiser/charity org for Palestine. You can enter as many times as you like.($10 counts as two entries, $15 for three, etc). You don't have to be following me to enter!

Take a screenshot/picture of your donation/receipt. Make sure this includes the amount paid, the fundraiser name(s) and the date(s), or your request will be invalid.

If you feel overwhelmed deciding where to donate, gazafunds is a great resource for spotlighting a specific campaign in need! Here are some causes I’d personally like to highlight too:

The Shehab Family: A family of 8, also raising funds for the sake of their extended family of 5 who are unable to make a gofundme. (vetted here) Crips for eSims for Gaza- Providing eSims has been vital to helping Gazans stay connected to the world, and this is a crowdfund via the Disability Visibility Project doing exactly that. If you’re uncertain about the process of activating and sending an eSim yourself, this is a great alternative! Gaza Soup Kitchen- An incredible family-run initiative on the ground in northern Gaza, they feed hundreds of people in need on the daily and are hoping to help even more. Funds will help with purchasing much-needed ingredients, as well as expanding their aid to other areas.

Hi! I am running a short raffle again for my friend Alaa @mariandhamza!

The amazing @p-trichor has so kindly offered 7 slots for fully rendered art, for €20 each for donating to Alaa's fundraiser. Some samples of his art are below:

I will be drawing 2 random winners at the end of this week. You have from now until next Saturday, 7th December to participate and win one of the first 2 slots (1st and 7th December included), Raffle will be drawn on 8th December, Sunday.

I could say a lot more, about how donations have slowed down considerably, how Palestinians in their posts have been saying how winter in tents is miserable and cold and awful while bombs keep raining down around them still and nowhere is safe.

How at least 10-20 people from one family are usually relying on one 'individual' fundraiser to meet their needs, how these fundraisers are being used to buy daily necessities and winter clothes, which are at inflated, exorbitant prices, and the families have no option but to buy them. How none of this is fair, how none of this is something the Palestinians should have to deal with, how over one year of genocide is too much for anyone to bear. How a few dollars/euros help quite a lot.

So instead, I will just say, please donate to my friend Alaa and get some raffle commissions.

I may have been too busy last year to make one (and I must thank saeranz on Instagram again for making the 2023 Mystictober list) but this year WE ARE SO BACK!!!

Heads up that there's an art raffle related to this going on in my Instagram for those who are interested👀

If this is your first year, Mystictober is a silly little prompt list event for October that's become a yearly tradition since 2020. The list is filled with both MysMe and Halloween/fall related prompts to inspire you to create!!

Every day has two prompts to give you more freedom, and each day you can

1. choose either one of the prompts to inspire your work,

2. do both prompts separately if you're feeling crazy or

3. combine the prompts! 👀

So for example on day 25 you could make something about Jaehee x MC, something about an unrelated tea party without them or Jaehee and MC having a tea party!! Oh and "MC" includes any CMCs, OCs and self inserts of course😌

there are common routes for artistic buckaroos to trot on their creative journey and find success, but that is only ONE path of many. you can also cut through the woods and chart your own journey. years ago chuck was told i was (and would be) massive failure and nobody cared for my art

would poke around writers groups online with help from sam rand and ask questions or give advice here and there and my way was always ONE HUNDRED PERCENT met with: ‘that is not the real path for getting your writing out there’ or ‘this is not real art’ or even THIS IS A MOCKERY

but i kept trotting on. now i think this timeline has shown where we all stand, and this is not meant to be TOLD YA SO post this is meant to say this: THERE IS NO ONE PATH AS A WRITER, PAINTER, BUILDER, ACTOR, CREATOR, DANCER, ARTIST. in fact this timeline NEEDS more unique paths

and while unique paths are all different the one thing thats same in their trots is this: they will make those in power, from low levels to top of the tower, VERY dismissive and upset. by definition this new way of yours will ruffle feathers, but sometimes feathers need ruffling.

POINT IS: TROT YOUR TROT. if you path is straight down the road thats fine and if its through the woods thats fine too. if you are creating WITH LOVE and harnessing the power of your unique one of a kind way, then you have already won the race.

whether or not the rest of this timeline resonates with what you make is a different story, in fact its DESIGNED not to, but thats not the goal. the goal is to SPEAK YOUR WAY and BUILD YOUR WAY and FILL THE VOID WITH LOVE and that in itself is the greatest prize there is but…

sometimes if you collect enough of these little raffle tickets and luck finally calls your number the WAY YOU RESONATE with not be extinguished by the vibrations of the timeline around you. SOMETIMES the timeline will start to match your pulse, and harmonize with YOUR wavelength

and in those very rare moments something magical happens. you create a whole new chord nobody has ever heard before
