These people who say they're "digital collectors" ask artists if their work is for sale, but then after a few messages, you discover they only want to buy it as NFTs. It takes SECONDS to see that I, an artist for a living, have a SHOP that I explicitly link to that accepts payments without needing to message me first. So, if this person were actually interested in buying something from me, they could have done so very easily. I link to my website and shop goddamn everywhere.

If you're an artist and you get a message like this, with the weird word choices like "photos" (??? they're paintings???) and "have you sold any before now" (Who the hell asks that if they're buying art??) disregard and block them.

I am and will forever be against NFTs and all other associated venture capitalist grifter bullshit.
