This is commissioned art that I made for DeviantArt buddy Sysirauta. The character is their Postcreated entity called Pride, a shape-shifter of mercurial temperament and exquisite taste. Sysirauta wanted Pride to have a cup of coffee, but left the rest of the composition up to me. They provided excellent reference material, so managing all the twisty limb-tentacles, wings, fur, feathers, and metal was no problem!

In fact, I really had fun with this piece. It was challenging and refreshing, and I worked with a color palette I have not used before. I've been going through an artistic dry spell - I have plenty of ideas, but insufficient energy to do much with 'em. The Pride project managed to crowbar me out of that mindset to a great degree, and the art process is coming along more easily than it has in the last couple of years.

ai generated images make me increasingly sad and tired the more i see them in more and more casual contexts. i dont know how to explain, but it just fills the world with a bunch of nothing. no matter how visually stunning the pictures might be, there's nothing behind it for me. no dedication, no emotions, no feelings, no hard work or creativity, nothing i can truly think about, admire or enjoy. i dont think thats how art is supposed to be

this is a poster i made for my call to action assignment in humanities! it's a bunch of basic and easy stretches for people who sit and work at a desk all day (me)

the idea is that you'd put the poster up above ur desk and do the stretches every 30 minutes or so,, the whole routine won't take more than about 6 minutes to complete and when done regularly it can prevent wrist, shoulder, neck and back pain! :)

all these stretches can be done while sitting (although i HIGHLY recommend you stand up and move around while taking a break from working)

i had a vision… 🇵🇰 miku in a casual gharara with a rubab… with an organza shawl… with little jhumka hoops………. i can see the end of the horizon….. hatsune miku !!

notes:

the rubab is a traditional pakistani stringed instrument

a gharara is a type of pants that are flared and pleated below the knee usually paired with knee or thigh length traditional shirts

jhumka are ornate bell like earrings

and the specific style of flat shoes depicted here are called khussay.

rose garlands called gajray are sometimes worn by women as bracelets or around hair buns etc, as depicted here. variations exist for different flowers too, such as the jasmine, which is the national flower.
