Withering Heights
Rated T | Fantasy AU | 10k words | Multi-Chapter
When he’s falsely accused of necromancy, George is forced to flee Manberg in an attempt to avoid his execution. His goal? Stay alive long enough to reach Kinoko Kingdom, where he will be granted asylum. On the way, he meets Sapnap, a fugitive who’s wanted on accounts of arson, and later Dream, a mysterious masked stranger who calls himself a traveler. The trio embark on the journey together, but things go sideways when they learn that Manberg’s ruler, Emperor Schlatt, has blasphemous plans that threaten to shake the very balance of the realm.
Here it is! My fic for @dreblr-gen-big-bang <3 it's been such a labor of love, and I'm so excited to share it with the world!! It's multiple chapters long, so I'll be posting chapters weekly (the word count on this post is just for the first chapter... it's a long one lol)
Special shoutout to my artist @dreamony for creating such beautiful artwork for my fic which you can find here <3
and, of course, thank you to everyone who organized the event <33

c! Tommy (again)
the second time that i’m posting a drawing of him :>
Tumblr media
This is the chapter page for Chapter Two of the manga that I’m writing about the Dream SMP Lore (chapter one took me 6 or 7 weeks) I don’t know what to call the chapter, all I know is that Tommy commits arson and Sapnap makes his first appearance (yoo 🔥)
The background looks poggers (i drew this on a train)
Bonus:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bro raging because someone didn’t answer his question (it just had to be answered) and this goofy doodle of c! Tommy as a cherub because his hair makes him look like one (i wasn’t sleeping while doing that)
At the time of posting this I had a bad cold (it’s the middle of summer ffs why) and now I have a nosebleed that was going on for two days (the blood isn’t visible outside but when i blow my nose it’s there and it always hurts xd)

LILLY THE ALEX RIDER DSMP AU. IT'S OVERTAKEN MY BRAIN. THE NEW SERIES. TALK TO ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PL
Oh hi Bean!!! :D
LOL I have not watched s3 yet but I saw you brainrotting, I'm assuming it was great!👍
Okay okay okay so!!! Brief recap bc I need to refresh my memory:
Tommy as Alex, Techno as Yassen, Uhhhhh Phil as John and Kristin as Ian I think???
Dream as "a younger, greener Blunt" to quote myself, uhhh I think Mrs. Jones was Puffy?????
Jack Niki Sapnap Eret as K-Unit/K-Squad! Code names Thunder, Arson, Animal Abuse, and Tax Fraud!!!😃 (I believe Tommy was Drug Abuse lol)
Quackity as Ash, Hannah and Punz as [Point Blanc] with Purpled & Enderboo as two of the clones, Ranboo Aimsey and Eryn as the [PB] kids, with Ranboo(in the role of Kyra) later transferring to Tommy and Tubbo's school. Kyranboo pog!
Tubbo was Tom!! As he should be!!!
Uhhh okay I think that's about as far as we got???
AR!Wilbur was Jack(the Starbright variety not the Manifold variety) but I think we might want to change that particular bit...😅 I suggest Charlie or Schlatt!! If it's Schlatt then Tubbo could also be Tommy's pseudo-brother?? Yknow since Schlatt is usually Tubbo's dad in these things. Charlie would be funnier though, considering Ash and Jack canonically went on a few dates in AR.
"Oh yeah Quackity from Las Nevadas, we f*cked a few times!" "Charlie-" "He made real nice noises when-" "CHARLIE STOP-"
Awesamdad would be nice too, but I think Sam was Smithers??? Or maybe it was Foolish, idk.
Uuuuhhhh Point Blanc!! Still needs a name!!! It's just Hannah and Punz (+Purpled) so... uh.
....Academy Bedwars????
idk what to call them OTL, I'm saving Skephalo/Eggpire for Scorpia, I can't call PB the Eggpire...
Uuuuhhhh anyway!! Bedrock Bros bc we love Bedrock Bros in this house!!! Phil got discovered/fought his prodigy/got betrayed a little later than John did in AR canon, so Techno met baby Tommy a few times. Tommy's blue sweater coming from Techno was what we agreed on I think!
Anyway even though Techno felt betrayed by Phil being a spy, I think his feelings are a little different than Yassen. With Yassen it was pretty complicated, with him already being committed to Scorpia/the morally grey(like, really really dark grey) side, still being grateful to John for saving his life, etc. Meanwhile Techno would betray the Eggpire for one corn chip- if said corn chip was Phil. He was just angry Phil never told him.
"You're a spy????" "Techno I can explain-*" "AND YOU WEREN'T GONNA TAKE ME WITH YOU???!?!!! I thought we were a team, smh! S M f*cking H!!!"
(*: he cannot)
Anyway after Phil "dies"(I don't think he's actually dead, I feel like a major deviation from AR canon is bound to happen sometime and I think Phil returning would be an important plot point), Techno just. Stays with the Eggpire. He doesn't know how to contact MI6 anyway, and he doesn't really see the point when Phil isn't gonna be there. Also, staying with the Eggpire means he can keep an eye out for Phil's remaining family, so that's what he does till one day he sees Tommy(Techno had been keeping track of him so he knows what Tommy looks like, but the kid looks exactly like Phil anyway) in a... rich kid boarding school?? And he's going by Tommy Outit(/ref)??? Bruh???
Tommy, of course does NOT recognize Techno and he's like Why is that guy looking at me like he recognizes me. Meanwhile Techno is bluescreening bc Hey. Hey Kristin? Why is your son doing spy work? Kristin???
...
Okay Imma pass the baton onto you now, feel free to add on lol.

A Little Not Sane
You weren't the most mentally stable person around. But then again, neither were they. (Yandere DSMP x Reader)
Warnings: abuse, manipulation, suicidal threats, more in-depth warnings under the cut
Notes: this is their DSMP characters, not the actual people, the CCs are very lovely and I promise I'm doing alright, I'm just experimenting in my writing to see how far I can push my boundaries. Also, take heed of the warnings, I don't want to trigger anyone accidentally
Full warnings: manipulation, mentions of suicidal attempts, death threats, depression, drug abuse, mental abuse, physical abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, a lot of abuse, gaslighting
Sam
"Shh, it's okay, this is for your own good."
will put you through "training" so you don't get hurt easily
uses potions a lot and forces you to take them too
if you think regular c!Sam is bad, you aren't prepared for warden c!Sam
warden c!Sam will, I repeat, will not hesitate to hurt you and won't be kind to you afterwards, especially if you accidentally word something or do something like Dream
threatens to lock you up or kill you if you say or do it again
Bad
"Please stay with me, I promise I'll be better."
on the surface he seems like a good person
but he will lash out when he feels like you don't love him anymore
apologizes and promises to not to get angry again, but he will
very double standard
gets angry if he finds you with your friends and demands you not to see them, but won't take your opinion into consideration
wants you to join the Eggpire; has even trapped you in the Egg to turn to his side
even if you don't get corrupted, he'll make you wear corrupted clothes and keeps you under watch at all times
Dream
"You're lucky I love you since no one else will."
makes you believe only he loves you
sometimes hits you when you don't listen
cuts you off from your friends and family so you rely on him only
gives you whatever you want if you ask nicely
may or may not mix in weakening drugs in your food so you can't escape him, who knows
Foolish
"You wouldn't leave me, would you?"
gives you whatever you want, so why would you leave
sure, he doesn't let you go anywhere without him
but that just means he's a little overprotective, it's fine
likes covering you in gold/emeralds
trying to find ways to turn you immortal so you can be with him forever, but hasn't found one yet
Fundy
"Everyone else leaves me, I guess it was only a matter of time before you did too."
guilts you into staying with him
purposely puts himself through harmful situations so you worry about him and care for him
very afraid of you leaving him but won't show it
tends to make jokes about breaking up and laughs it off when you ask him about it
Niki
"Where are you going? Can I come too?"
clingy to the point of suffocating
wants to go wherever you go
if you don't let her, she gets sad and agrees
but what you don't know is that she's following you
just to make sure you aren't cheating on her, you know
says her food is made with love, but last time you ate something she made, you felt incredibly tired and slept the rest of the day; it's fine tho, Niki said you were just worn out from work, she took care of you while you were asleep
Sapnap
"I'll burn down this entire place if you leave me."
what did you expect other than arson?
he wouldn't think twice about torching what you love
gets insanely jealous when he sees you talking to other people
tells you not to talk to anyone else but him
follows you around saying he's protecting you, but in reality he's giving anyone who even comes near you a death stare and planning to burn their house down later
Skeppy
"I won't hurt you again, I swear."
empty promises
when you don't want him to do something, he mocks you and does it anyway, but when he doesn't want you to do something, he'll make sure you don't do it
plays pranks on you that are harmful or just plain rude
breaking up prank, suicide prank, death pranks in general, etc.
he says it's all in fun though, don't be a buzzkill babe
Wilbur
"Leave me and I'll kill myself."
sort of inspired by the dude in cc!Wilbur's E-Girl series
He would be more subtle at first during his president phase; a joke here and there that's a little too dark,
Eventually, he'd show his more possessive traits
When he gets banished, the fear of you leaving him grows; leads to him latching on to you and not letting you out of his vision
He believes he's the only one that is allowed to love you
Revivedbur is a totally different beast because he feels like Wil before he got corrupted but it isn't him as well
Could not think of anything for a few of them (and some have said they don't like shipping) so sorry, maybe a part 2 when I get ideas

Sapnap: you know, people always say I have a unique way of lighting up the room.
(Y/n, Dream, and George look at Sapnap)
Y/n: it’s called arson and those people were witnesses.
Dream: what do you mean “were?”
George: you know why.

Dream SMP High School Drama AU POG?!?!?!
Background idea:
Dream Team are like,,,, the student council for a high school in Utah (yes, Utah), and basically, Tommy comes and causes havoc, Dream steals his discs, and suspends him for causing a bit too much trouble, and there's a full blown school war when Tommy gets outta fuckin' suspension (school wars = multiple food fights + fucking tryna kill eachother at dances + rap battle shit)
Tommy then wins the war via winning a game of uno and trading his tamagotchi for the discs with Dream, Wilbur wanted to monopolize selling literal water bottles here (Drug empire shit), L'manberg arc is basically trying to overthrow the dteam student council, the final control room was Eret starting off a food fight, the Tommy and Dream duel was them fighting with Pokémon cards.
After Tommy lost and gave the discs to dteam, they decided to make L'manberg the new student council, which made Wilbur president and everything was well and dandy until election arc comes.
Election arc was just fuckin everyone running for student council president, Quackity and Schlatt still did the merging votes thing and they won, but Schlatt was overall a worse president than Wilbur.
Festival happened, but Tubbo was basically just beaten up by Techno (dw the nurse did everything, also Techno didn't get suspended or some shit).
Pogtopia was basically Pogtopia, Wilbur goes insane over just a couple school drama (Tommy tries to tell him it was just petty school drama), but yeah, a final school war goes on and Techno summoning wither skulls was just them fighting shit in Minecraft.
Wilbur prepared ACTUAL FUCKING explosives (yes, he is basically J.D here), Phil appears, he pushes the button anyways, and the entire cafeteria was just imploded (dw no one was hurt).
Wilbur actually voluntarily gets suspended from school grounds indefinetly, this spreads all over the news and gets named the "POGTOPIA INCIDENT OF 2020"
Wilbur, George, Techno, Phil, Callahan, and Alyssa all graduate school.
Season 2 timeeeeee
Afterwards, everyone then makes Tubbo school president, making New L'manberg, Ghostbur = Wilbur sending letters from college, since he graduated in season 1.
The entire exile incident was Tommy tearing George's notebook + stealing some of George's stuff + committing a bit of arson with Ranboo (he just transferred here) and Tubbo suspends Tommy indefinetly and Dream is assigned to keep an eye on him.
While Tommy was in exile, Technoblade's execution was the butcher army beating him up, Techno scars Quackity, yadayadayada. (ALSO ALL THIS HAPPENED IN TECHNO'S APARTMENT)
In "exile", Dream hits Tommy with the manipulation a bit TOO hard and Tommy attempts suuui... ummmmm unaliving himself... yeah, unaliving himself, turns out, he survives the entire fucking thing.
Doomsday happened, and ACTUAL explosives were rigged again (yes, everyone is still under 21, so it's fuckin' illegal), and both the cafeteria and school hall were blown up, no one was hurt still, and everyone involved with Doomsday were college students except for Dream, so, no one got suspended or got detention.
The disc confrontation was basically everyone in the school hall tryna suspend Dream from school grounds so uhhhh, that worked I guess...
Dream, Sapnap, Bad, Skeppy, Ant, Punz, H, Quackity, and Foolish all graduate school.
Lmk if you'd like to see more of this au !!

to what extent do the titles heroship and villainy in the DSMP (by their definition) apply to the characters cTommy and cDream? this post has been created as a study to clarify the usage of the labels "hero" and "villain" on the characters: cTommy and cDream
The definitions:
the [protagonist] is a [major character] of a [story] who [drives] the [plot] with his [actions].
the [antagonist] is a [major character] of a [story] who [drives] the [plot] with his [actions] that most often [oppose the protagonist].
thus, the terms [protagonist] and [antagonist] are relative.
but, the be a [hero] or a [villain] is a different matter. i believe there are two unique definitions of [hero] to take in account:
- in accordance to the 'Hero's Journey', the [hero] is [the main character] who goes through the hero's cycle of (simplified) state of normalcy, the call to adventure, trials and failures, the climax where the hero gains a revelation whether it be enlightenment or award, a road back home, and resolution back in the state of normalcy.
- in consideration of the trope of a [hero]'s characterization, a hero is a person of morals and often a unique trait that sets them different from everyone else.
meanwhile, the 'Hero's Journey' does not mention a villain. thus, here are three definitions of the term [villain] by three unique dictionaries:
- Oxford Languages: (in a film, novel, or play) a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot.
- Merriam-Webster: a character in a story or play who opposes the hero.
- Cambridge: a character in a book, play, movie, etc. who harms other people.
OL decides the [villain] to be someone who's [immoral actions] [affect the plot]. MW sees it as protagonism and antagonism. Cambridge is the most morally absolute: to be a [villain] is to harm others. simple as that!
thus, what are Tommy and Dream in the scrutiny of these definitions?
Hero's Journey: In the beginning, Tommy is dragged into conflict by Sapnap's will for revenge against Ponk in his [call to adventure]. he goes through [trials and failures], until eventually, he reaches [enlightenment] of his situation. i believe this point of climax to be at the end of Exile, when he breaks free and decides for himself to run away from Exile, going from the deepest state of depression and reviving into someone willing to change for the better, but you might have a diff interpretation. but the point is, there is one. anyways-- in the [return to normalcy], Tommy tries his hardest to, well, become normal again. forget about dream. this culminates to the what happens in the disc finale, where he almost gains a second enlightenment, where he understands (but doesn't forgive) Dream. then the nuke happens and the cycle repeats (probably, for this part)
Hero's Journey: Dream goes through half of a hero's journey. Dream is [called into adventure] in the situation when Ponk and Alyssa call him for backup when Tommy and Sapnap murder them. He then begins his quest for peace in the server, in a series of [trials and failures]. But, his [enlightenment] only occurs at the DSMP Finale. Right before he dies and the server is reset. Does that count as a speedrun to resolution? So is he a hero in this case? I dunno, you interpret this one for yourself
Trope/Characterization: Tommy does steals, murders, breaks into people's house and arsons them, blackmails, even waterboards Fundy once for information, and if you count it, tries to enslave Ant (prob doesn't really count bc it was a casual stream for Pogtopia) and i think Jack it was that one time during the Festival Nov 16 something like that
Trope/Characterization: Dream murders, steals, bullies, blackmails, gaslighting to make someone depressed and isolated, blows up a country three different times..
I doubt any of these actions of theirs allows them to be hero's by sake of the trope. in the very same way, they'd both be villains by Cambridge's definition. about the other two--
OF: well, the whole disc war situation began when Tommy murders Alyssa and Ponk. then aids in the murder of Dream too (i forgot if it was him or sapnap who got the kill in the end). he also arsons George's house, as catalyst to the events leading up the Exile. though, what he did to fundy was utterly unnecessary and didn't add much to the plot, only to his characterization. other than that though, he stole spirit and blackmailed Dream with it, furthering Dream's spiral and eventually lead up to the Spirit Speech
OF: and Dream then stole the disc. while honestly, a lot of his actions were reactionary, they still drove forwards the plot by directly opposing Tommy, who would then react to what Dream did (T&S murders A&P. Dream attempts to stop them by murder. gets murdered by T&S. steals disc & murders T&S w Punz's help. status quo until T murders D on a railway and steals spirit and belongings. D opens negotiations...). Exile was also driven by Dream's immoral behavior (bullying and gaslighting and other verbal and physical abuses)
MW: the [hero] and the [villain] are relative to each other and depends on the POV. the saying, "You are the main character of your own life" applies here. applying this definition to Dream and Tommy would not work very well if we source it from a third party POV, for example Tubbo. Tubbo is the main character of his own pov, and thus, would think of it as [Tubbo] vs [x character, perhaps Dream, or could be Schlatt].
Cambridge: mentioned earlier in post. though, here, I want to mention that villainy is villainy. one may be the worse villain than the other, but in the end, they're both villains by consideration to the harm that they have done to others. this post is not to decide who is the [worse villain], the one who is more morally wrong, but to show that: cDream and cTommy are [both] [villains].
TLDR: Thus, for heroship, I conclude that Tommy is a hero only by right of Hero's Journey, and Dream's is up to your interpretation. For villainy, they're all villains until the story is told from their own POV. Or: Tommy can be both a hero and a villain, and Dream can be both a hero and a villain.

Update: I read some of stello’s analysis and would like to add a fourth reason that I have also seen other places too - lore inaccuracy. If people use things as support of their claim that either didn’t happen, didn’t happen as they said, or is missing context, of course it would be convincing. And if you can’t remember the facts or didn’t watch the lore then that can lead to believing the narrative the characters’ tell you instead of the actual canon. And I say that not to call stello or anyone else out. I’m genuinely not trying to bash or accuse anyone of anything. I’m just saying that no wonder people might think Dream is obsessed with Tommy if they are not basing it off the actual canonical truth.
Some examples (I’ve seen from stello’s analysis and others) of lore inaccuracy include, but are not limited to, the following:
Believing that Sapnap heard the Spirit speech and that is why he leaves when in actuality Tommy and Quackity specifically tell him about it and he believes them. - And as always I would like to add that Dream made that speech to his enemies directly after they burned down his friend’s house and used Spirit to blackmail him. Seems like a pretty reasonable time to scream about how you don’t have any attachments for them to hurt in order to hurt you…
Believing that Dream in anyway framed Tommy for Exile and that Exile was an unreasonable and unheard of thing to do, as punishing people for griefing and stealing never happened before, as if it was seen as okay, when this is not true. People have always been upset about griefing and it has always been seen as a no no, just because people did it doesn’t make it okay or mean there weren’t repercussions. The difference however, is whether - a) it was uncalled for and b) they made amends/made efforts to stop, something Tommy did not do. Killing people and taking their items when they have wronged another player had been common place [clip]- look no further than Tubbo demanding to have Tommy’s discs after he burned down his house and killed his bee [post] and Tubbo also suggests getting Dream to ban him [clip]. So losing items and dying isn’t new the only difference is they can’t really just kill like the olden says. Even exile wasn’t a new punishment as in Tommy’s first stream he did just that [post]. Only this time Dream came to make sure he didn’t just disobey and return. Plus, politically speaking the vice president of a nation committed arson against the king, and like wars have started over less so for him to take things to more extremes isn’t the most unreasonable, especially since the original agreement was just like don’t steal, don’t grief, don’t cuss people out and call people names…etc - basically don’t be a dick for two weeks, which Tommy refused.
Believing that Dream actually came back during the finale because Tommy said he’d kill himself when - a) Dream has the revive book and can just bring him back and b) he literally comes back before Tommy makes that threat [post].
Believing that he was interested and begging Tommy to visit him in prison because he’s obsessed with Tommy, not because he had been in prison for already 32 days (more than the 11 days of Exile btw), in which time we know he was so lonely he was throwing his clocks into the lava just to get Sam to stop by. In that month he only has 4 visits from people, meaning a lot of time spent in isolation and he even asks Badboyhalo when he comes to get George and Sapnap to come visit. He gives them notes of - thanks for visiting - because he’s grateful to have visitors and human contact whether from a pissed off Sam or his enemy Tommy who just berates him the whole time. He’s scared in that stream when Tommy says it’s his last time because Tommy is one of the only 4 people to come in a month and he’s saying he’s Never coming back, making Dream’s likely visitors, likely human contact that much lower.
Believing that Dream was specifically targeting Tommy right after the prison break, when it was Tommy who came to exile seeking him out. The reason he went from Punz meetup to Exile to get the Axe of Peace (the weapon he was killed with btw) isn’t about being obsessed with Tommy or that’s it’s more priority than his armor at Snowchester, it is just simply closer. Like a pit stop on his way to get the armor. There isn’t really any reason to think he went there knowing Tommy would come. And yea after Tommy started rallying forces together to take down Dream and fortify Tubbo’s house and stuff, of course Dream would want to keep him off his back by scaring him with a creepy disc in his basement.
Believing that Tommy didn’t start the Disc Saga when he and Sapnap jumped Dream when he logged on [post] when he wasn’t even involved in the war, and Tommy specifically chases after him when he has nothing and just respawned to kill him [clip]. Then they refuse to give back his stuff afterward and continue killing people like Ponk and Alyssa despite being asked to stop. After Punz kills Tommy to get Dream’s stuff back, and they reclaim all their stuff, Dream even gives back Tommy’s and Sapnap’s stuff. But it doesn’t stop there because Tommy keeps killing people and doesn’t stop when asked, so Dream takes his discs to force him to stop. Sapnap ends up recovering one of the discs which Tommy hides in a cave, and as Dream tries to find it, Tubbo, Sapnap and Tommy team up to kill him again and get back the other disc which Tommy proceeds to hide it in his yard. Sooo killing someone multiple times and rubbing it in their face and refusing to give back their stuff, pushing him to the point of taking the discs to make it stop, pretty sure constitutes as starting the Disc Saga… and if nothing else he is fairly responsible for how it escalated. And the reason Dream focused on Tommy is because Tommy showed no signs of stopping versus the others who did, so he had to take further action against Tommy and get the discs.
And if that war alone doesn’t highlight Tommy’s provoking, aggressive and unwelcome behavior towards Dream enough then I don’t know what will, but that isn’t the only time something like that happens either. In a different incident involving a trap with Fundy, Purpled, Tommy and Dream, Tommy refuses to give Dream’s stuff back and Dream retaliates [clip]. Tommy also takes his stuff after hitting him with the mine cart… etc etc So I’m pretty sure it isn’t Dream who starts the wars and conflict between him and clingyduo.
And the fact that Wilbur and Techno also blow up L’manberg for reasons not involving Tommy, Las Nevadas doesn’t involve Tommy, Kinoko doesn’t involve Tommy, Mexican L’manberg doesn’t and all theses other characters and stuff happens that don’t involve just clingyduo and Dream shows that the story isn’t about “Tommy and Tubbo versus Dream” and has never been, even if Tommy thinks it is.
And like if we’re believing Dream in the disc confrontation and his nonsensical monologue when he says he needs Tommy because Tommy is the key to attachments and yada yada, then we should also believe him when he says he didn’t even build the prison for Tommy originally [clip]. And I’m pretty sure if he was obsessed - if Tommy was enemy number 1, always on his mind, representing the threat to his “happy family” then I think he’d build that prison specifically to lock Tommy up so he can’t be a threat anyone. But instead in the same monologue he talks about how important Tommy is, he says to Tommy’s face that the prison wasn’t meant originally for him. And if we are going to take the other things he says in that confrontation as true then that should to be taken too…
So what if he destroyed the yard for the discs, So what if he lived in his walls and followed him around - I mean if Tommy is a child who’s too young to know the difference between right and wrong and face the consequences, then doesn’t that just make Dream a baby monitor…
why do people think cdream was obsessed with ctommy like i read stellos analysis on it and its well written and nice but they fail to take into account that cdream has a persona and 90 percent of the time is not telling the truth
Ummm well many reasons actually. Ones I’ve talked about a bit before, but basically I think it actually comes down to Tommy himself for a few reasons.
a) Firstly, I think because Tommy believes it, it’s hard for us not to believe it. In other words, by watching his stream, being in his head, that perception is ingrained into the lore itself so we are more inclined to believe it, simply because the character we are watching through does. This is true not just for Tommy but other characters as well and it makes sense, we are seeing things for the first time through their eyes - how could it not taint our view? This is also not helped by the fact that Dream leans into Tommy’s expectations. In multiple scenes we see him bring to life Tommy’s world view, giving him and us more inclination to take it at face value. Like Dream becomes who Tommy thinks he is so it makes it really convincing from Tommy’s head to not believe it.
b) Secondly, in many ways Dream is obsessed with Tommy. Sure not in the way Tommy thinks - like him constantly trying to kill him and take his discs and yada yada… but he tears up Tommy’s whole yard for Tommy’s discs, he fights wars for the discs against Tommy, and in some ways that is Tommy obsessing over Dream forcing Dream to engage. The problem I think is not so much that Dream is really obsessed with Tommy but that he’s obsessed with keeping his “big happy family” and Tommy continues to threaten that and be the center of chaos and conflict, there by making him a priority for Dream. And it doesn’t help that Tommy is also the very center of Dream’s hurt, and beginning and end of his downfall.
c) Lastly, and I think probably most notably, I kinda touched upon this already, but because Tommy is obsessed with Dream, he forces Dream to constantly be involved with him, making it look like a focus/obsession/priority when Dream really may be just trying to defend himself, defend his friends, get back his stuff… etc. Dream can’t not be involved with Tommy because just like the finale Tommy inserts himself right at Dream’s throat again.
So is Dream obsessed with Tommy? Or is he obsessed with getting to live his life, something Tommy continues to make impossible?
And yea the fact alone that Spirit, Mars, and Bekerson existed before Tommy and that Dream built a prison but plans on putting Skeppy in a little cage, should be enough to highlight that Dream is talking nonsense in the disc confrontation about Tommy being the key and him needing Tommy alive and yada yada… like it should be enough to showcase that maybe he isn’t really obsessed with Tommy like he depicts. But perhaps it’s much easier to believe that narrative than the one that Dream is actually a relatively sane person who’s just lying (like he’s accused to be lol - “All you do is lie, Dream…”). It’s a less messy reality then the what ifs and considerations and dissecting needed to find the actual truth. And who doesn’t want to just do the things that are easier?…

“Do you think that you’re trapped?” His mom asked, humming as she split the woven grass strands into threes.
Tommy shrugged miserably. “I don’t know. Everything is so confusing.”
“What’s confusing about it?”
Everything, he wanted to repeat. Like how Dad loved them, but spent every waking moment searching for something too far from being found. How Tommy and Wilbur and Techno would feel like brothers, a trio of unbreakable dreamers, until the air just…stopped. Choking them silently until they went their separate ways, reminding each other of their differences. And he was left all alone.
“How did we get here?” Tommy turned to her, rain droplets that he hadn’t realized were falling hitting his face.
She just shook her head. “I am sorry,” She whispered, heartbreak holding onto every word. “I’m sorry, Tommy, but life doesn’t work that way.”
or, the coming of age story where Tommy realizes he never got to choose a side.

Dungeons and Crafters: Sapnap part 1
I'm still working on his backstory bit fully (heck im still working on dreams) but here are Sapnap's personality, ideals, etc all that. Plus if you want to see his Toyhou.se, that's available now too!
Sapnap is a lean Fire Genasi with orange tinted skin and dark hair. His hair fades into fire the longer it gets, and floats around his face, producing very dim light. He wears black and white armor and clothing, and his sandals are designed for comfort and speed. He has a white bandana tied around his head to help keep his hair out of his face.
Personality
Sapnap is a bit of a chaotic individual. However, his strongest trait is that he is highly protective of his friends and allies. Should one of them require his aid, Sapnap would burn the world to the ground. He can also be incredibly stubborn however, and once he has an idea in his head it's quite hard to be rid of it. Sapnap has an unhealthy obsession with fire (Though just how unhealthy it is can be called into question seeing as he is a fire genasi) and is perfectly fine with performing a bit of light arson in order to achieve his goals. Afterwards, he always stays to help restore the animals of the area, using Druidcraft to enhance the regrowth of whatever he burnt.
Ideals
Sapnap dreams of creating a world with no evil in it, which is why he was blind to the possession of [[DREAM]] for so long. He clung to the ideal that he and his friends were doing right, and it shattered him to realize that they were in the wrong. He does his best to help those he can in repentance for the actions taken during the assorted wars across the "Dreamlands".
Bonds
Sapnap has always been closest to his two friends George and Dream. However, he also has two others that he is very close to, Quackity and Karl. Once both his fiances, now bonded with Karl, Sapnap struggles to help Karl with his memory problems, and is constantly seeking a way to help him. And although Quackity broke away from Karl and he after a particuarly bad memory relapse, he still worries over the avian and wishes no ill.
Flaws
Sapnap cares for his friends, truly he does. However, once he gets something set in his mind, he will fight to go through with it. His stubbornness is nigh limitless, and his willingness to commit arson at any given opportunity only fuels it.
