The whole European swords vs Japanese Katanas is so dumb. We all know an Egyptian Khopesh is the coolest blade and that swords in general suck because of ✨armoured combat✨

A well balanced mace or a long spear are far better in combat than a blade only used to show others how much pussy they slay (because they can afford a bunch of sex from brothels) or to show that you are, in fact, are better than everyone else (samurai)

So, I can't afford full plate harness.

BUT...

I can afford, steadily, to equip plastic harness simulators.

So I guess I'm investing in this for the time being, to get some experience in harness without a plate harness.

Knight is in fact going to do some true knightly combat, soon.

Was armour really as useless as it is in fantasy?

Remember, if armour was easily pierced, it wouldn’t be worth the cost and weight, but if it was NEVER pierced, it wouldn’t have been worth the effort and cost of making and training with weapons. The truth must always lie somewhere in the middle.

But for fiction, sometimes the story is more important!

Started buhurt recently on my fifth session and i learnt a technique called "The Head Rip" My neck is in shambles rn. Two days have passed and I am still working it out

Last year I done some outfits for Lacazette (x) including casual and stage gear, I wanted to do some armour for him but undecided between buhurt or LARP. After spending more time learning how a set of armour work and look into a lot of fabulous manuscripts I decide jousting is his hobby now :))) 🦢🦢 He's not a professional jouster but he's well served in the sport, an intense opponent who loves wreaking people. He has logged thousands of hours in his armour, run thousands of joust courses, fought on foot and in the tourney. The Norwegian 🦇 The Belgian 🦢 The Arbëreshë 🐬 The Brit ❤️
