TASK: ‘ARKITEKT’ MAGAZINE

Brief

- Front Cover and 2 double page spreads for a new magazine ‘Arkiteckt’

- Male and Female audience that have an interest in architecture

- High End magazine aimed at students, professionals and amateurs

From this brief I wish to define the target audience by exploring previous successful architecture magazines and finding out what works and doesn’t. I believe that minimal, monotone and white space may be some of the key elements to making this design which I will narrow down in my sketches. I visited the universities library to discover previous layout designs that feature in architectural related journals and books. The images below are just some of the findings.

One layout I found interesting was created by Creative Review as it shouted out minimal and I believe it would appeal to the target audience. I enjoy the composition of the text and how the title moves vertically to add interest. I wish to carry on this unique take on layout through my own ideas.

No asistí al primero, y tampoco hice algo para conmemorar el segundo como tal, aunque sí reflexioné sobre lo que he hecho por una “moda consciente” y es por eso que quiero contarles cómo he tenido en cuenta ciertas…

Li dimora da Secoli un essere antico e potente: The Arkiteckt ... Sente che a bordo c’è chi porta Il Sigillo su di se, l’ha cercato per tutta la sua esistenza e ora attira il veliero verso gli scogli e lo fa schiantare su di essi.
