hii! i love like all of your works and was hoping to request a story here:
arizona robbins x younger daughter reader (like 8-10?) where arizona takes reader to work with her because the babysitter cancelled last minute or something and reader ends up wandering off while arizonas discussing something with someone because reader gets distracted and bored easily and arizona like frantically searches everywhere for her until she finds her in the basement goofing around with alex or one of the other famous doctors? 🤞😭❤️
ᕚ---ᕘ
The shrill vibration of the cell phone made Arizona Robbins abruptly wake from her sleep. She blinked against the darkness that still enveloped her bedroom. In the dim light of the display, she recognized the name of her babysitter, Claire. With an uneasy feeling in her stomach, she reached for the cell phone and answered the call.
"Claire, is everything okay?" she asked, her voice still rough from the sleep from which she had been rudely awakened. "Arizona, I'm so sorry," the woman on the other end of the phone began apologetically. "I got sick last night and have a fever. I can't look after y/n today. I wanted to let you know."
Arizona's heart skipped a beat and she felt worries piling up in her head. A glance at the clock told her that it was just 5:45 a.m. The day hadn't even really started yet, and she was already faced with a problem. "Oh, Claire, I'm sorry to hear that. Don't worry, I hope you get well soon," she said, even though she was frantically thinking about how she could organize this day. She hung up and slowly let the phone sink onto her bed covers.
At that moment she heard the soft patter of small feet in the hallway. The door to her bedroom opened and you stood in the doorway, your hair wildly tousled and your eyes still half asleep with your favorite stuffed animal tucked between your arm and chest. "Mommy? Why are you awake?" you asked quietly and continued on your way to her bed.
Arizona gave a tired but warm smile and pulled the covers aside so you could slip into bed with her. "Good morning, baby," she murmured as you snuggled up to her. "Unfortunately, Claire can't look after you today because she's sick."
You raised your eyebrows in surprise. "And who's looking after me today?"
"Me, my sweetheart. You can come to work with me today," your mother explained to you and watched as your face turned into pure excitement. "Really?!" you exclaimed and sat up, immediately forgetting your tiredness. "I can come to the hospital? With you?"
Your mother laughed when she saw the joy in your eyes and gently stroked your hair. "Yeah, exactly. But we have to hurry, okay? We have a lot to do and you have to promise me that you'll be good."
"I promise! I'll be the best helper," you explained with a serious expression and quickly climbed out of bed.
Arizona swung her legs out of bed and followed you into the kitchen. The morning routine had to be quick and efficient now, but chaos was inevitable - like every morning. While she tried to get the toaster to toast her bagels faster, you rummaged through your drawers looking for your "perfect superhero outfit." Clothes were scattered everywhere as you settled on a blue Supergirl t-shirt that you thought was the best for a "doctor's day.
"Mommy, look, I'm ready!" you stood triumphantly in the doorway and proudly pointed to your shirt dangling over your pajama pants. Your mother laughed again. "That's a great shirt, superhero. But we better put some jeans on you so you look like a real doctor, okay?"
You nodded eagerly and ran to get your jeans. Meanwhile, Arizona prepared you a quick breakfast - pancakes, your favorite food. She knew you had a stressful day ahead of you and wanted to at least make sure you started off in a good mood.
When you were both finally there and the kitchen was - at least halfway - back in order, Arizona helped you pack your bag. "We'll take some toys with us in case you get bored," she explained as she packed coloring books, pens, your stuffed animal Emma and some snacks. "You know I can't be with you all the time because I have to work. But I think some of my friends will play with you if they have time."
"I know Mommy," you replied, now feeling dressed and ready. "But I'm still glad I get to go with you. It's much better than staying home." Your eyes sparkled with excitement and Arizona couldn't help but smile. She knew the day was going to be an adventure for you and she was happy to be able to share this special moment with her daughter.
The drive to the hospital was an endless series of your questions: "Can I say hi to the babies?", "Can I help you be a doctor?", "Do they have super help at the hospital?" Arizona patiently answered each question and enjoyed the liveliness you brought to her car and her heart. Even the early morning traffic and the dark clouds in the sky couldn't take away her joy when she saw your sparkling eyes.
"You know, there are a lot of super helpers in the hospital and you know some of them. Alex, Miranda, Teddy.." she said, briefly looking in the rearview mirror to smile at you. "But I'm glad I have my little super helper with me today." You grinned proudly and swung your legs back and forth.
When they finally arrived at the hospital, Arizona felt a rush of nostalgia as she walked through the doors hand in hand with you. Many of the nurses and doctors who greeted her smiled when they saw you. "Good morning, y/n!" a nurse called when she spotted you.
"I'm my mommy's helper today!" you declared proudly, skipping along beside your mother as she walked through the hospital halls. "I'll be a good boy and help."
Arizona felt your hand firmly in hers as they walked through the busy hospital corridor. She was glad that she had managed to arrive on time despite the hectic morning. Your eyes were still shining with excitement as you curiously looked at the people and sounds around you. "Mommy, are these all your friends?" you asked with a smile as you walked past the doctors and nurses who continued to greet Arizona in a friendly manner.
"Some of them, yes," your mother replied with a warm smile. "But now let's go to my office, okay?"
But before they reached the doors of the children's ward, Arizona heard her name. The familiar voice of Dr. Miranda Bailey echoed throughout the corridor. Arizona stopped and turned around, pulling you closer to her.
Bailey walked quickly towards you both, a medical file clutched tightly in her hand. She smiled down when she saw you. "Well, who do we have here? Good morning, y/n."
You beamed when you recognized Bailey. You had seen her several times before, when she came to the hospital with you or when she came to a party at the house, and you always found the "strict lady" fascinating. "Good morning, Miranda," you replied politely. "I'm my mommy's helper today."
Bailey laughed softly and winked at Arizona. "Oh, I see we have professional support today." Then her expression became serious and she turned back to your mother. "But, Arizona, we have a case I need to discuss with you. It's important.
Arizona noticed the worried look on Bailey's face and nodded. "Of course, what is it about?" she asked, holding your hand and trying to draw her attention to the conversation.
Bailey pulled up the file and pointed to a picture of an ultrasound. "We have a newborn on Ward 4 with a complex heart defect. It's a rare diagnosis and I wanted to hear your opinion before we make a decision." She flipped through the file and explained the medical details while Arizona listened carefully.
"Okay," Arizona said, briefly letting go of your hand to move closer to the file. "That looks like Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. We should think about an operation, but I need to see the exact values to better assess the risk."
While the two doctors were discussing the next steps intensively, your gaze wandered through the corridor. You looked at the colorful posters and drawings on the walls and discovered a large aquarium in a corner of the waiting room. Your eyes lit up - the colorful fish were magically attracting you. Without Arizona or Bailey noticing, you quietly and curiously separated from your mother.
You stepped closer to the aquarium, her eyes fixed fascinated on the small bubbles that rose up and the bright colors of the fish. "Oh, that looks like a rainbow," you murmured to yourself. You completely forgot that you were supposed to stay with your mother.
Arizona, meanwhile, was still deeply engrossed in the conversation. She discussed the different options and risks of the operation, while Bailey nodded in agreement and asked additional questions. For the two of them, it was a normal day at work - a critical case that required full attention. Minutes passed as they went over the notes and diagrams in the file.
Only when Bailey glanced at her watch did she realize that she and your mother had been talking for a while. "You know what, Dr. Robbins? We should discuss this further in your office before the surgical schedule for the day is full," Bailey suggested.
Arizona nodded in agreement. "Good idea," she looked around to bring you back to her. "Y/n? Come here, we'll go to my office."
But no child's voice answered her. She turned on her heels and looked down the corridor into the ward, her eyes searching for you. "Y/n?" she called louder, but the familiar, happy face was nowhere to be seen. Bailey frowned and looked around too. "Where did she go? She was just here."
Arizona's heart began to beat faster. She hadn't taken her eyes off you for a second - at least she thought so. "Y/n!" she called again, her voice now more clearly colored with concern. She took a few steps in the direction she had last seen you walking, but the hallway and the waiting room were empty.
"Okay, wait. Maybe she's just nearby," Bailey tried to calm your mother down, but there was also a hint of tension in her eyes now. "We'll look around and ask the staff."
Your mother nodded, but her mind was already racing. You were curious, and the hospital was big - there were so many rooms you could have gotten lost in. She called out to you again as she continued to search the flood. She quickly turned to a nurse who was hurrying past. "Have you seen a little girl? Supergirl shirt, light jeans and colorful sneakers?"
The nurse shook her head. "Sorry, Dr. Robbins. I didn't see her, but I'm on the lookout."
Arizona thanked her briefly and continued walking while Bailey contacted security on her cell phone. "Missing child in Ward 2. Please keep an eye out, about nine years old, wearing a Supergirl shirt." Then she turned back to the blonde doctor. "Give me two minutes, and if we don't find her, we'll trigger Code Pink."
Her heart was pounding. Her hands were shaking as she continued to run through the halls, looking into every open space. She knew a Code Pink was a serious measure - it meant putting the entire hospital on alert to search for a missing child. But every second that passed made her fear grow.
It was a maze of bright lights, rushing footsteps, and constant alarms. Arizona felt her breathing become shallower as she and Bailey hurried side by side through the pediatric ward. Every step echoed in her ears, and the watch she wore on her wrist seemed to tick her fear away with every passing moment. Where could you be?
"Y/n!" she called again, but the only answer was the monotonous beeping of the machines and the murmuring of the nurses tending to their little patients. Her hands were sweaty as she opened door after door, hoping to see her daughter's familiar shaggy head. But each time she found only empty rooms or bedbound children staring up at her with wide eyes.
"Arizona, stay calm," Miranda said, her voice firm but not unkind. She knew how hard it was to suppress the panic. "We're searching everything systematically. She can't have gotten far."
But she couldn't stay calm. Every room they searched without success made her heart grow heavier. What if you were lost? What if you got into one of the elevators and ended up somewhere else in the hospital? Or worse, what if someone had taken you? Her mind raced, and she felt tears welling up in her eyes as she forced herself to stay focused.
Miranda gently touched her arm as they entered another room. "Look at me, Arizona. We'll find her." But Bailey couldn't quite hide the worry in her eyes either. For a moment their eyes met and she saw the hint of concern that Bailey was hiding behind her professional facade.
"I... I know," she whispered, but her voice was weak. She had to stay strong. For you.
As they continued down the hall, they heard the loud clatter of metal carts and a group of doctors came towards them. Arizona gently grabbed the nearest nurse by the arm. "Have you seen a little girl? Supergirl shirt and light-up shoes? Nine years old?"
This nurse also shook her head. "No, I'm sorry, Dr. Robbins. But I'll keep my eyes open and let you know if I find her."
Arizona nodded gratefully but didn't let up and turned to Bailey. "We need to search the intensive care area. She could have gotten in there without realizing it."
Miranda Bailey nodded as she headed for the intensive care unit. Her pace quickened, her mind racing. The thought of having to trigger Code Pink was terrifying. It was a measure used only in extreme emergencies, and she could feel the panic building within her. But what else could she do if you didn't show up soon?
She and Bailey worked their way through the ward, looking into every room, every patient room, but no one had seen you. Arizona felt the chill of fear spreading in her stomach. She was really close to setting off the alarm when she suddenly stopped.
Something stopped her in her tracks - a soft sound, barely audible over the bustle of the ward. A soft, happy giggle reached her ears, followed by a voice she knew all too well. Her eyes widened.
"Wait," she whispered to Bailey, her voice barely more than a breath. "Do you hear that?"
Bailey put her finger to her lips, closed her eyes and tried to focus on the sound. The giggle repeated itself, more clearly this time, and Arizona couldn't believe it. She knew it was your laughter - a sound she would have recognized among thousands. She turned, saw the nondescript door of the storage room in front of her.
"In there, but how did she get in there?" Arizona asked quietly, her eyes fixed on the door. Her hand turned to the doorknob, her heart pounding in her chest. Bailey stood close behind her, her expression focused and attentive before she pushed the handle down and slowly opened it.
The door swung open and Arizona caught a glimpse of the scene beyond. In the small room, surrounded by shelves filled with medical supplies and cleaning supplies, Alex Karev sat relaxed on the floor. You stood in front of him, laughing and clapping your hands, while Alex, with exaggerated seriousness, presented a syringe without a needle and a stethoscope as "super doctor equipment".
"Hey, Dr. Robbins," Alex said when he saw Arizona. He grinned widely as if nothing had happened. "I saw her walking around the children's ward alone. Thought I'd better bring her here before she really disappeared."
Your mother felt tears well up in her eyes and relief hit her like a wave. "Oh my God, Alex, thank you! I... I didn't know what she was like and I was so scared..."
Arizona dropped to her knees and pulled you tightly into her arms. "Honey, you can't just run away," she whispered and hugged you tightly, not hiding the tremor in her voice. "I was so worried."
You looked up at your mother, confused. "But mommy, I just wanted to look at the fish... and then I saw Alex!"
Alex shrugged. "Well, I thought she might need a little company before she could possibly get to other wards. So we practiced playing super doctor a bit." He smiled at you and winked. "But next time you'd better stay with your mom, okay? There are so many exciting things here that it's easy to lose track."
She looked at Alex with a look that expressed gratitude and relief in equal measure. "I really don't know what I would have done without you. Thank you for finding her."
Alex stood up and dusted the dust off his pants while grinning broadly at you. "No problem. Plus, it made me feel like a hero again."
Bailey stepped closer and put a hand on Arizona's shoulder. "Well done, Karev. That was the right decision." She smiled slightly and then looked at you. "And now, little lady, you'll always stay with your mother."
You nodded eagerly. "I'll stay with you, Mommy. I promise." You gripped her hand tighter, as if to show that you really meant it. Your mother stroked your hair gently. "That's good, honey. Now we'll go to my office and make you comfortable there, okay? No more walking around."
As they set off, Arizona felt relief in every step. The lump in her throat dissolved, and for the first time that day she could breathe again. She was grateful - for Bailey, and especially for Alex. Her colleagues were her family, and today they had proven once again that they were there for each other.
As they left the children's ward, she looked over her shoulder and saw Alex going back to his tasks. She knew she still owed him something, but right now only one thing mattered: she had you safely with her again, and everything else could wait.

House limped down the hallway followed by an exasperated Wilson who was concerned at his friends eager step, seeing as he was on his way to see a patient. How un-house-like.
"This is peds remember, these aren't normal patients. They don't lie, they don't have ulterior motives, they're just...kids." Wilson halted his friends shoulder and turned him towards his concerned face.
"So, wait until they've had a sip of beer before berating their existence?" House mockingly tilted his head in faux concern. Wilson's mouth opened but all that left was a sigh.
After confirming that his friend was no longer going to halt the inevitable, he continued on with a new fervour in his limp. But Wilson didn't stop there and sped to catch up with the surprising amount of ground his friend had covered.
"You see she loves these kids almost...almost like they're her own. She's smart and is excellent at what she does but she doesn't care about that." Wilson paused and looked back into his mind, picturing the moment he first saw her in a child's room, a plastic tiara on her head and an empty teacup perfectly clasped between her fingers.
"She cares about the kids."
"Wow. I'm touched." House grasps his chest and wipes away a non-existant tear. "Do you know how easy being a paediatrician is. They can't lie until they grow teeth and after that they're stupid enough to reveal to us when their parents lie. There's a reason it's 'daddy touches my special place' and not 'daddy gets aroused by children.'"
"That's it I'm making the rule. No pedaphile jokes."
"But the jokes literally in the name...peds"
"Who lets you around children?"
"Who lets me around people? Haha, I got you there!" He jabs a finger into Wilson's chest. Wilson rolls his eyes and holds out his arm to prevent his morose friend entering the land of happiness. Well as happy as a bunch of sick kids can be.
"Well let me appeal to your true nature." Wilson sighs. "I like this girl and she likes me. Please don't ruin it?"
"How could I say no to those puppy dog eyes. Fine! But only in the name of your libido, at least until I finish my soul-searching and realise my true calling is your bed."
Whilst House finishes his thought, they are spotted by a woman in pink scrubs, absent of any colour of coat. She briskly walks towards the two.
"Dr Wilson, Dr House. My name is..."
"I don't remember nurses names, it's nothing personal, I rarely remember anyones."
Wilson coughs and shoves his friends shoulder to direct him towards your burning gaze.
"As I was saying, my name is DOCTOR y/l/n. Pleasure to meet you."
Despite the gaze, her smile remains cheerful and she extends her hand for House to shake. Reluctantly, he eventually offers it and it is taken in a firm and bouncy handshake.
"James has told me so much about you, to be honest I'm surprised our paths have not crossed sooner. Regardless, today I am so happy to welcome you both to peds. The most magical place on earth."
Whilst listening to her, House took stock of the woman in front of him. Her pink scrubs seemed to be the dullest thing about her. Her hair was collected in a ponytail that swished its way down between her shoulder blades. Her pockets were lined with memories of her past. A pink glitter pen given to her from a girl who was continually brought in for asthma, a ball of yarn from a boy who had loved knitting, a yellow sticker saying great job, a blue glitter one saying 'you go girl'. There was a pencil with a yellow smiley face rubber and another that seemed to contain many colours. I guess that just made it all the more fun. House smirked when he saw a pocket protector. Not too dissimilar to the one that lined the pocket of the smitten brunette next to him.
"Gentlemen, this is peds. This is the place of the tiny humans. They like glitter, they play games, they see us as magicians. They believe we are the magical healers who can cure them. So that's how we present ourselves to them. The tiny humans may be tiny but they are strong. Stronger than most. Their bodies fight because they know they have so much life left to live and we try our hardest to give them as much life left as we possibly can."
As the girl speaks, absolutely in awe of her job and the lives it saves. She fails to notice the adoring gaze of the one she calls hers. The brunette looks to her as if she hung the stars and the moon and even though he could hear House's eyes rolling into the back of his skull, he couldn't bring himself to look or care. Not when she was in his line of sight.
"So you will not be stubborn, you will not be blunt or sarcastic. As far as I'm concerned, today you are the two newest editions to the circus. So play the part and follow my lead."
She picks up her files which were each coordinated by colour and glitter. House smirked at this. She turns to push open the door to the unit but falters.
"Also..."
She turns back to face the two men.
"The owners of the tiny humans can be quite volatile. You've been warned. Enjoy!" Her look of warning is quickly replaced by a mask of pure joy.
House softly giggles.
"I like her. Will we soon be hearing the pitter patter of tiny 'Wilson' humans?"
Wilson didn’t even hear his friends comment and instead chose to follow his beauty, like a moth to a flame.
House shrugs.
"Men, never thinking with the right head." As he eyes the glitter residue that adorns Wilson’s sleeve.

I want you back, love
Ship: Arizona Robbins X Female!reader
Summary: Arizona doesn’t want you back, but you want her back.
Pronouns: She/her
Warnings: Sad shit
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I wasn’t one to chase after people, but when it comes to Arizona that’s a different story. I love her but yet she doesn’t.
How do I know? Well, what happened was:
“Arizona, I like us being friends. I do. But I want to try us again! I love you so much it makes me sick that I love you more than anything! So will you be mine?” I said looking up at her.
I saw the shock on her face. I saw how she tugged at her lip. A thing she does when she doesn’t know how to say something.
“I’m so sorry y/n. I think we’re better as friends. Friends?” Arizona said with a slight smile and had the look of guilt and sympathy
“Friends.” I said with a slight smile. “here you can stay for dinner with me and Callie” Arizona offered. “I have to go. Sorry.” I said and left.
That was the last time I saw her. I found out from well everyone that Callie and Arizona got together. It makes sense. Who would want the ugly dumb surgeon?
After about a month I quit and became a surgeon somewhere else. I won three harper Avery’s and became a world-class surgeon.
As for my love life? I still very much love Arizona, but she’s happily married to Callie. What can I say?
It’s been about two years now. I moved back to Seattle and went back to work at Grey-Sloan. I have a lovely husband name Zach and a set of twins.
I got my happily ever after.
As for Arizona? Her and Callie got a divorced. Callie left to New York. Me and Arizona are on good terms.
I guess the rainbow does come after the rain.

sometimes i’m eliza minnick trash
“I’m literally here because my mother made me come.” Avery whined to April on his left, Maggie to his right. “It’s like she has stock in this woman or something.” He turned his head so his chin touched his shoulder to make sure their conversation was private, before taking a swig of the beer their hostess had so graciously provided for them. April and Maggie smirked gently at his words, both having similar ideas in regards to some of their superiors’ opinions on Eliza Minnick.
Arizona, who had been sitting close by, pursed her lips and shook her head ever so slightly, her dissonance growing. She wasn’t exactly sure how to approach this situation. The “Minnick Problem,” as her friends and peers had dubbed it. Was it really a problem? Yes. Of course it was. Webber’s job was at stake but…Arizona frowned to herself as she thought about the baby surgeons. “I need another drink.” She said to no one. The three sitting close by silently agreed with her statement and nodded before returning to the privacy of their own conversation.
The pediatric surgeon meandered into the kitchen area where Minnick was keeping the drinks, but instead of taking one, she just stood there, looking at nothing in particular as she observed the kitchen. It was gorgeous, naturally, the kitchen of someone who knew how to maintain a home, and even more, how to be proud of their home. Her blue eyes found the doors of the stainless steel refrigerator, a few pictures making their home under magnets. She inched towards them to get a better look. Was that…?
“Mario Lemieux.” Arizona took a heavy breath of oxygen so not to yelp in shock. “I spent some time in Pittsburgh and provided my expertise to their Stanley Cup winning team in 2009.” The annoyingly over-confident Sports Medicine surgeon made her way to stand shoulder to shoulder with her house guest, admiring her own accomplishment. “I’m kind of a sports nut.” She diverted Arizona’s attention to the photograph hanging close by. “Madison Bumgarner,”
“San Francisco Giants.” Arizona replied, cutting off the boasting woman at her side. “It’s a very impressive set of mementos.” Arizona was (not by choice) smiling slightly, her lips closed but still turned upwards. Her shoulders became parallel to the refrigerator now, and her kitchen counterpart followed suit. “Why are you so-?”
“Intriguing? Captivating-?” Eliza butt in, hoping to catch Arizona off guard and regain the upper hand. The tension – the good kind – was building, and she wanted to keep it that way. The political crap at work was one thing. If she could win the peds surgeon over personally…
“Frustrating.” Arizona said, one eyebrow cocking upwards, an index finger pointed outright at Eliza. “You are very frustrating, Dr. Minnick.” Arizona grabbed the bottle of whatever light beer was closest and spun on her heel, half hoping that would end everything, half hoping Eliza would quip back.

Could I request an Arizona Robbins imagine in which the two are together but they’re arguing over what route to go in for a surgery and during the surgery they bicker and soon they make up? After the surgery and then it’s fluffy?
Author Note: Finally another story from me in the universe of Grey's Anatomy. I haven't written for these characters in a long time so sorry if they don't do justice to the real character on the show, I need to get back into it.
---
"Bookeh, pass me the pincer grip, please" ordered Arizona and looked concernedly at the monitor to which her little eight year old patient was connected in order to keep an eye on his vital signs during the procedure. "Pulse fluctuates violently, blood pressure is low but in the range."
Her gaze turned back onto the small and petite body as soon as she was informed of the health status and took the requested item between her outstretched fingers. "You seem nervous, we should have taken my route. It would have been safer!" you spoke slightly annoyed and pansy into the room, unsure whether the little boy would survive the operation with such a huge intervention and the associated risks with it.
"Then instead of three small punctures that the laparoscopy needs, he would have a huge scar that will forever remind him of this!" she answered seriously and continued to concentrate on the imaging procedures, which thanks to the camera, showed the whole abdomen.
Before you could counter anything against her choice, she invited you to look at the monitors as well and learn from it. "What can you see?" she asked to cover her nervousness about the information she had just discovered.
"The intestines are quite convoluted" you explained.
"I agree. That´s why I am going to try to unravel the intestines with the switch. What else can you see?" she continues to ask and began to press around the individual pieces of intestines with the forceps. "The rectum already looks necrotic" you answered confidently and a small grin escaped your lips.
Now she had to go your way; Arizona could not continue removing the already dead tissue with a laparoscopy. "Enough with the teaching, ´zona. We need to expand the operation and cut him open as soon as possibly."
The blonde bit her lip and stared silently at the monitor. She did not like to admit that you were right, but denying it was not in the cards at that moment. "I can see that, Y/n." While she carefully pulled the instruments out of the boy´s abdomen and sewed up each abdominal wound that was left behind, you took the scalpel and drew a long line from the navel to below the waist.
"I told you from the start that we should do it this way, why can´t you just listen to me?"
Sighing, your girlfriend pulled the stitches tighter and her hands clenched on the sewing scissors she was holding. "Because I am the head of pediatric surgery and I usually always contest the procedure I think is right!"
"Can you at least trust me for once and listen to me?" You brought me into this operation so I think I have a minimal right of choice as well." Your voice is suddenly muted by the irregular beeping of the monitor, allowing no time to bicker as you freeze for a moment in shock. Both heads looked up from their work and announced synchronously, "Pulse has dropped to 52, blood pressure has fallen into the red area."
While you tried helplessly to locate the source of the young man´s sudden debilitating state, Arizona stood paralyzed in her place and watched you frantically work the open body in on the operating table.
"What happened?" she asked in disbelief, seconds later, beginning to break out her rigid state as she mentally prepares for the worst. "He´s bleeding. Above the necrotic tissue, the intestinal wall is so thin that it tears open as soon as I touch it."
You tried desperately to stop the bleeding that was obliterating all your vision. The suction that Bookeh held in the open abdominal cavity, trying to suck up the blood to give you a better view, also failed due to the amount of blood. "I need help here, four hands are still better than two."
Your girlfriend quickly moved to the opposite side of you and grabbed the tools needed to help you find and stop the bleeding. But she, too, was struggling and was sure they had to do more than that. Arizona noticed through a minimal insight that both simple sutures and the tissue had not chance to hold or recover; everything had to go.
"Hemicolectomy. We need to remove the part that´s impermeable or it may rupture. Rose, page Doctor Bailey, we need assistance here" the head of pediatric surgery was slightly overwhelmed and annoyed, so she pronounced the sentences slightly mad.
---
After a few hours and the active support from Bailey, the little boy survived. Although he had a bumpy and difficult healing path ahead of him, the most important thing was that he was still breathing and had a long life ahead of him.
"Fortunately, everything went well" Arizona whispered and you could hear relief in her hesitant voice. Your gaze turned to her briefly and you nodded before looking at the sink again, not a word leaving your lips.
You stood in the washroom of your used operation room and kept silent to each other until the blonde spoke up. "Maybe next time I should step back and listen to you when it comes to a surgical route" she admitted, looking down at her hands. "It´s not that I don´t trust you, I just like to always be right and do everything right, you know?"
You nodded.
"Arizona, it´s okay. I am not mad at you." you said mournfully and simply, drying your hands before moving behind her and burying your face in the crook of her shoulder. "I know that you only want the best for the little ones on the operating table, I can understand that."
Your hands slid down her sides and she giggled before placing her hands on your forearms and wrapping them around her middle. Soft, light and warm kisses breathed on her thin and ticklish skin between head and shoulder, she leaned her head back into her neck and enjoyed the closeness and warmth of you.
"I am sorry."

Can we plesse get a second part of Arizona’s daughter getting shot I need her reaction and protectiveness so bad 😭
A/N: It may not be what you wanted. It is really dark and didn’t ended like you probably would have wanted to but I am in a really dark mind set at the moment so I wrote it how I felt. I am sorry.
TRIGGER WARNING!
- MENTION OF DEATH.
---
You snapped your eyes open and didn't knew what was happening or what happened.
In your slightly blurred and tear-filled vision, you looked into the face of your mother and Callie. One of your shaky hands rose up and draped over your neck to show them that you couldn't breathe while you didn't take your eyes off your mothers.
Your whole body burned and felt like you ran into a fire. In a panic you tried to gasp for air but you couldn't. Almost choking, the feeling was overwhelming and oppressive. You could hardly resist the urge to breathe and let the cool air into your lungs, but as if you were paralyzed, every attempt failed.
Panic raised up your chest and you tried to fight it down.
"Baby, it will be alright okay? We will patch you up again, you just can't fall asleep again, do you understand?" said the blonde, her voice muffled by all the tears and sobs.
But you didn't look like you were in a condition to hear anything. Your eyes flittered unfocused and short, desperate pleading for air, wheezing gasps lodging in your throat. Your shoulders shuddered with the effort you tried to breathe.
Your lips moved as you fought to say something but no sound was coming out, only a gush of deep red blood.
The loss of blood and the impossibility of getting air into your lungs affected your consciousness with every second.
Slowly, your eyelids were fluttering shut again.
"Don't you dare close your eyes on me and leave me here without you!" was the only thing you heard before losing the fight to the dark again. -- She stood there rigid, with a cool expression, in her pitch-black, tight-fitting dress. Again and again she relived the last moments of your life, the sound of your last breath and her scream. It literally cut through the oppressive silence that no one dare to break with a word.
The grief hung too heavily in the air and took hold of her gnawed heart and battered body. It slowed every word before it could even leave her dry mouth.
She let her gaze wander from your tombstone over the people standing near her to the trees and fields. She wanted to forget what had happened, suppress the picture of her deceased daughter and at least for a moment forget how she lay there motionless, surrounded by the walls of the hospital that actually saved life but had not managed to save the life of her younger self.
She saw it again and again, saw her daughters face in every passing girl that walked on the sidewalk Nevertheless, this was only for a short time before she saw the closed eyes, the peaceful expression and the run-in-face, as it could only be seen in a dead person, as it was now also her daughter.
She tried to tear herself away from it, but she only felt the infinite sadness that flowed through her and looked into empty eyes and faces of her colleagues and family.
The red and white braided rosary surrounded by green branched adorned the black marbled tombstone and one last time, her daughter should get her favorite flowers. There would never be another time.
This knowledge constricted her throat and seemed to suffocate her and inflict the same agony as her daughter once had to experience.
She swallowed hard and salty tears ran down her cheeks. She took a deep breath and pressed herself firmly to the side of her black-haired girlfriend who didn't leave her side in these difficult times. You too had become like a daughter to her, just like a sister to all of your mothers friends, who unfortunately left them far too early.
She tried to smile but it went out like a flame after a few seconds and disappeared. She knew deep down that it wasn't going to come back anytime soon, if at all.
Again she looked around and looked at all the colorful bouquets of your beloved flowers, her friends bowed their head and stood close by and behind her and mourned your grave with her.
You would never be able to leave it again.
She didn't even hear the words of the pastor when he talked about God and you. Even the song that played at the end didn't drown out her thoughts in the least.
The pastor began to speak again and she struggled inwardly with herself, she couldn't take it any longer. She listened to the cleric and heard his words with suppressing tears until they ran unstoppable down her cheeks.
A low, final prayer was said in honor of you and a huge breeze blew at the moment when she looked up. You were there, came over to see if everything was okay and to show her that you were there.
Even if not in her world anymore.

I love that you do Greys as well! Could I request one where Arizona’s teenage daughter happens to be there during the shooting and gets injured while saving her mom and Arizona is hysterical but also trying to save her daughters life! You would absolutely make me the happiest 😭
A/N: I completely fucked this oneshot up because I forgot the name of the little girl that had her appendix burst and overall I hate the ending. But I hope you like it anyway. --- You wanted to come and see your mother in the hospital to surprise her with her favorite food, knew too well that she was probably so busy that she forgot to eat.
Shortly after you walked through the pediatric entrance and looked for your mother, examined every single open space and room, you finally found her in the premature ward.
You were not allowed in, you knew that, so you waited patiently in front of the huge glass wall where you could see the babies. You watched her for a while and were touched at how she handled the little newborns. She smiled and spoke to them as if they understood, as if they knew what she was saying.
After she finished the exam, she talked to the parents of the child. Only then did she notice you standing there. You started to smile and lifted the food bags in front of your face. She smiled back, said goodbye to the future parents and walked straight to the door.
The reception from her was loving and almost overwhelming, as if she had not seen you for weeks, although in reality it was only a few hours. With a bone crushing hug and a kiss on your forehead, she greeted you. „Hey mom. I brought lunch and thought we were enjoying it together?“
„Of course, I leave Karev my patients for an hour and then we can go to the common room.“
„Great. I will go ahead and unpack everything.“ You spoke cheerfully and turned in the direction of the location.
Your paths parted for an uncertainly short time. You had already put the various meals on the table in the room and sat down as you waited longingly for your mother. The uncomfortable silence was drowned out by a loud noise. You covered your ears with both hands and stood up to see what had happened outside.
But before you got to the door, it swung open and your mother came to the fore. The expression on her face looked worrying, scared and confused even as she tried to cover it up in front of you.
„Is everything okay?“ you asked immediately and stood beside her to seek some kind of comfort and protection.
„Yes. No, it is not. We have a Code Black, all stations have been cordoned off and I do not know why. I want you to stay here as long as I do not know if there is any danger or risk. Do you understand?"
You just nodded and sat down again. Arizona walked up to you at a quick pace and put her hand on the back of your neck, pushing you forward to kiss your hair before she smiled at you and disappeared out of the door.
You waited patiently for your mother to come back like she said, but after half an hour, she was still not back. Lost in your thoughts, you pondered all the possibilities that such heavy code could produce.
Missing child, someone who was wanted was hiding somewhere in this hospital, kidnappers escaped from custody.. All of this popped into your head until you heard a few shots and were startled by your thoughts.
Panic spread through you and you got up again. You were looking for a way to hide somewhere in case it really was a gunshot, but in this small room there was nothing more than a couch, a cupboard and a sink.
You looked out of the window in panic, meanwhile there were heaps of police cars surrounding the entire hospital.
"Mom," you whispered to yourself and fear spread through you. Your heart began to beat faster and tears gathered in your eyes. "Where are you?"
You gathered your courage and walked to the door that probably separated you from your mother, but also from the shooter that was now in the building.
You walked out slowly, you were pressed close to the wall so as not to walk openly in the hallways. You saw some nurses who took care of the babies, but still not the blonde-haired one.
You kept walking until you came to a room that was open. You briefly listened to the voices and tried to assign them.
"Lanie, your appendix is torn. Dr. Torres will now give you the PDA. Then you will talk and look at her so I can fix everything in your tummy, okay?" said your mother calmly and lovingly.
"Where is my mom? I want to see my mom!" cried that little girl. "Honey, mom can't be here now, but I'll be there and watch Dr. Robbins while I hold your hand and maybe sing with you?" did you hear Callie say and you walked in.
Both were shocked when they saw you, Callie not even knowing that you were here at all. "Y/N, I told you to stay in the common room! It is absolutely not safe here for you and I do not want anything happen to you!" she screamed and scared the little one even more.
You didn't answer, instead you went to Callie's side and started singing something to the little girl. Your voice and the song you chose made her smile and she tried as best she could to sing along, Callie too.
In your line of sight you noticed a dark figure standing in the doorway slowly approaching you and you looked up.
"Why do you stopped singing? Please don't stop. I am scared." said the girl softly but you were in a state of shock. Callie started to look at you before she saw in what direction you were staring at. As soon as she saw the gun, she laid herself on the girls upper body, to give her some kind of protection.
You saw the gun in his hand, but also the blood that was on his shirt. Slowly you straightened yourself and walked around Callie, which tried to stop you with one hand behind her without a chance, circling the table and standing in front of your mother.
"Go, please. We have nothing what you would want, we just have a girl here who needs help. Please leave us alone." you said softly and listened to the restless voice of your mother and the silent cries behind you. "Here, I'll give you bandages and compresses for your wound. Press this against the wound and it should stop bleeding."
With slow steps you approach the man and pressed the bandages with shaky hands in his hand, that also held the gun before you backed away.
He thanked you with a nod and his eyes showed you a little compassion, his lips forming a minimal smile before his gaze went rigid again, his eyes turned a deeper color and he pointed the gun at you.
"Are you a doctor?" he stammered and you put your hands to your head. "No, no. I am not a doctor."
"Then get out of my fucking way!" he screamed coldly and you shook your head. "No, I won't let you hurt them. Shoot me, but don't shoot my mother!"
A loud bang broke through the thick air, loud screams drowned out the echo of the gun and an incredible pain flooded your body. You slumped on the floor and gasped for air.
Everything blurred before your eyes and you could only hear whimpering, screaming and crying from your mother and some footsteps that diminished. You felt an increasing warmth that took you and it was now just a matter of hope for you. Hope someone comes and saves you.
The air in your lungs got thinner and you could not breathe. You felt like a stone collapsing on your chest and it became harder to keep yourself awake. The corners of your eyes got darker before it completely consumed you.
