y/n's eyes filled with tears as she sat on the floor of the infirmary. how could this have happened? well, she knew exactly how it had happened.

one of gaea's mountain minions attacked the argo ll, and hurled rocks at the ship. they escaped, but not before a huge rock smashed into y/n's ankle. she had basically crawled to the infirmary.

she couldn't bring herself to stand up, her ankle wouldn't support her. she unlaced her high-tops, and tried to pull the shoe down.

"ow!" she whispered to herself. "ow, ow, ow, ow."

she managed to pull it off after immense pain. she carefully removed her sock and got to look at the beautiful sight that was her foot. it was bleeding, it was swollen, and it was just hideous. she tried to grab a towel, so she could wipe the blood off, but unfortunately, she was capable of nothing. she couldn't move and if she did, she'd knock everything over.

"y/n?" a voice called throughout the hallways. "y/n? oh, there you are!"

percy came into the infirmary.

"hey." she smiled.

"what're you doing on the floor-what happened?" he asked, looking at her disgusting ankle.

"nothing, i just got hit." she said, trying to hide the tears that had welled up in her eyes. "i'm fine."

"you're not fine. you're sitting on the floor of the infirmary with a swollen, bloody ankle that doesn't let you stand." he said, almost offended.

"it's really not that bad-"

before she could finish her sentence, she felt herself get picked up and placed on the exam table. she felt embarrassed at how warm her face felt. he picked her up so easily. he brought another exam table and put the together in an l-shape. he then took her leg and put it on the table he had brought over.

"thank you." she smiled. "but seriously percy-"

"you can do it on your own?" he chuckled. "i'm here for you y/n. please, accept my help."

she silently nodded as percy grabbed a towel and wet it with warm water. he gently wiped the blood away.

"let me know if anything hurts."

"i will."

percy washed her foot and ankle with soap and water. after that, he dried the area. instead of bloody and swollen, now it was just swollen.

"this is going to burn." he warned, before pressing the towel to the various small cuts she had acquired.

y/n hissed in pain.

"you're alright." he assured.

he kept going, until he got to her toes. when there wasn't a cut, it didn't burn, but when there was, it hurt like hell. afterwards, he put small band-aids on the cuts. he pressed the swollen spot.

"ouch! percy!" y/n blurted.

"i'm sorry." he said calmly. "i needed to see how bad the swelling was."

"is it bad?"

"nothin' to worry about." he smiled. "you'll be alright."

she felt herself relax. she might've not been able to walk, but she did feel alright.

he grabbed a roll of gauze and began wrapping it around the middle of her foot to her ankle. when he got to the swollen part, it squeezed her ankle, making her hand shoot up and grip percy's bicep.

"y/n, this isn't the best time to feel my muscles." he smiled.

"get your head out of the gutter." she laughed, gently pushing him away.

when percy was done wrapping her ankle up, she felt a lot better, but it still hurt. like she had been stabbed straight through the bone and with every movement of her foot, the knife bent inside of her. he gave her a little bit of ambrosia for the pain. percy quickly cleaned up and y/n tried to slide off the exam table but was stopped by percy putting her back in place.

"you can't put weight on it." he said, concern flooding his voice.

he cared. somebody cared. percy picked her up bridal style and walked out the infirmary. he set her down on her bed, and made a pillow mountain for her to keep her foot on.

"let me know if you need anything." he said, sincerity in his eyes.

"yeah." she paused. "can you, uh, stay here?"

"yeah." he smiled. "i can."

he laid down behind her, and pulled her down so she was laying on his chest while keeping her foot elevated. she could feel his breath down her neck as his arms wrapped around her. he smelled like salt-water and vanilla. she felt herself physically relax as she melted into his warm touch.

"thank you." she said, turning around to see his sea green eyes.

"always." he smiled.

they looked at each other for a moment before percy leaned down and kissed her. it was slow, and y/n was about to turn around so she could put her hands on him.

"no, you stay that way." he demanded, pulling back from the kiss.

"you're no fun." she whined, feeling percy turn her back around.

after an hour, y/n felt herself completely relax. her body felt fine, her mind was at peace, and for once, she didn't feel like the world had it out for her (even though it did, and that's why she had a swollen ankle). but for once, everything just felt alright. as she became one with percy's firm grip, the lights began to dim and her eyelids felt heavy.

"percy?" she whispered.

"i forgot to tell you i gave you a sleeping medicine." he whispered back.

"percy!" she whined, before falling asleep.

Overview:

Gewitter is built on the Atlas chassis, though a great deal of modification has made it truly one-of-a-kind. The original platform upon which the venerable ‘Mech was built was the Atlas AS7-K3, notable for its inclusion of jump jets. They remained a hallmark of Gewitter, carrying through to the final model, introduced on the battlefields of Helios in October 3153, much to the horror of the Word of Blake forces at the Battle of Fort Bayeux. Gewitter is, at first glance, a fairly standard Atlas mech, originally of Defiance Industries manufacture. However, after two major refits, very little remains of the original K3 as it entered service in 3134. The first refit was conducted by the MechTechs of Skobel Mechworks at their Yakima Proving Grounds on Terra. There, for a time, Gewitter sat opposite Test Unit Sierra Five - the original Mackie and the first ever BattleMech - while the Atlas was fully rebuilt. The refit focused on integrating mixed Inner Sphere and Clan technology along with additional command gear, armor, and sensors; steps were also taken to shave weight from the original design. This further enhanced its pilot’s dynamic, fluid style with greater maneuverability. Wait. I wanna hear you Will Solace headcanons

Okay so be prepared for these to be wildly inaccurate because all I know about this guy is from fannon. Most of this is also me projecting.

1. Bass player. Yes that is 100% biased, as I am also a bass player (and I hc myself as a legacy of Apollo). No I have no basis on this claim other than Basses Are Just Cooler Than Guitars.

2. OR he’s the guitarist, Nico is the Bassist.

3. If there is a piano in the house, he WILL play it. For hours. Gods forbid you take him anywhere with a public piano.

4. Hates learning Music Theory, learns by ear and by feel. As an Apollo kid, he can instantly read both tab and sheet music, but uses neither.

5. Also has perfect pitch (can name any chord just by hearing it).

6. He’s a Star Wars fan, right? Can talk for hours about John William’s use of Lydian Mode in the score to convey a sense of majesty, and don’t get him started on the expert use of Vagnarian methods of leitmotif-

7. Okay, so maybe he knows a little music theory.

8. Writes terrible poetry that’s low-key kinda good.

9. Founder of the chb LGBTQ+ club.

12. Apollo is also god of prophecies. Will has the power of foresight ONLY for TV show/Film/Book endings. He is able to predict how a character would die with incredible accuracy after one episode. Morbid as fuck, so naturally Nico thinks it’s the hottest thing ever.

14. Friendship bracelets. VERY swiftie-coded, he has a million of them on both arms, cutting off his circulation.

15. Paints Nico’s nails. Nico insists on all black, but gave in and let Will paint ONE nail fun colours, bedazzled with charms and shit. As long as it’s the middle finger.

Now, specifically my Will x Leo (Platonic) headcannons:

16. Will and Leo become very close at camp simply because Leo has absolutely zero sense of self-preservation. Like that kid does not value his life in any way at all, and so always ends up doing the most reckless shit ever, and, naturally, ends up spending a lot of time in the infirmary, usually only after being dragged there by Jason (“What’s the big deal? It’s just a broken arm. I’m ambidextrous! Besides, I’ve survived worse.”)

17. Will loves him because he’s never there longer than he has to be.

18. Except sometimes he does have to force Leo back into bed while Leo’s yelling loudly about how he needs to get back to his work, the Argo II won’t build itself, and to let go of him or he’ll burn you.

19. Will makes him wear enchanted plasters (band aids) that he can’t take off without doctor’s permission, to stop him absent-mindedly picking at old scabs and bits of skin. He also keeps fidget toys and stress balls to give to his patients. Leo has stolen ALL of them.

20. Like seriously, it is a problem. Leo has had to make them a whole bunch more fidgets because he’s taken and then overworked them until they all broke.

21. Both their southern accents come out more when they talk to each other. If a conversation goes on too long, they evolve into using so much fast-paced Texan slang that no-one else can understand them- it’s practically its own language.

22. BOTH SWIFTIES!!!!!

23. Leo helps out in the infirmary a lot- he’s useful if you need to sterilise equipment or cauterise any wounds.

24. It works sort of like an exchange of favours, where Leo also calls on Will anytime he needs a human flashlight to work on a project.

25. Leo has a lot of scars from his rough childhood. Will is one of the few people (aside from Jason) who’s actually seen them all. They never talk about it, and, as his doctor, he’s sworn to secrecy, but some of them are really disturbing. It will never not shock him that demigods can get hurt by things in the mortal world.

26. Leo makes sure Will uses accurate engineering jargon when writing Star Wars fanfiction.

27. Aside from Leo, Nico is the only one who reads his fanfiction

They remained a hallmark of Gewitter, carrying through to the final model, introduced on the battlefields of Helios in October 3153, much to the horror of the Word of Blake forces at the Battle of Fort Bayeux.

Gewitter is, at first glance, a fairly standard Atlas mech, originally of Defiance Industries manufacture. However, after two major refits, very little remains of the original K3 as it entered service in 3134.

The first refit was conducted by the MechTechs of Skobel Mechworks at their Yakima Proving Grounds on Terra. There, for a time, Gewitter sat opposite Test Unit Sierra Five - the original Mackie and the first ever BattleMech - while the Atlas was fully rebuilt. The refit focused on integrating mixed Inner Sphere and Clan technology along with additional command gear, armor, and sensors; steps were also taken to shave weight from the original design. This further enhanced its pilot’s dynamic, fluid style with greater maneuverability. An extra additional step added late in the refit process, as ordered by Commanding General Melissa Hazen herself, saw Gewitter's right hand fitted with a half-ton, 24-karat engagement ring, complete with the largest natural diamonds ever cut in human history - the inside band of which was etched in micro-font with the entire Jade Falcon Remembrance. This ring remained upon Gewitter's right arm, even after the wedding of Hazen and Marten-Steiner in the aftermath of Operation TOUCHDOWN.

The second refit, performed on the battlefields of Helios by Star Captain (later Khan) Xerxes Truscott of Clan Star Adder, focused primarily on the integration of two newly designed, powerful, and devastating weapons: the Clan-spec Light Gauss Rifle and the Pile Bunker.

i LOVE tea and coffee but if i had to be specific i’d probably say my favourite would be a chai tea or just a regular english tea with brown sugar, and for coffee i pretty much like everything but mostly go for a latte.

for my favourite band/artist i have a lot that i like. i’ve been a lana del rey fan since around lust for life was released (i think), i also really love nicole dollanganger, fiona apple, mars argo, elliott smith, bjork and cass elliot. as for bands i grew up listening to a lot of alternative music so i’m a fan of bands like deftones, hole, nirvana, korn, alice in chains and tool. some other bands i like are fleetwood mac, radiohead, the verve, blondie, cocteau twins, duster, the smiths and the cure <3

Hello Again Spellslinger and TTRPG communities. I have returned for my second round of spellslinger characters and their dnd 5e statblocks. Round 2. Spellslinger

Kellen of the house of Ke (Soon to be Kellen Argos) (Spellslinger)

Variant human.

Stats:

Str 8 (-1) Dex 14 (+2) Con 10 (+0) Int 16 (+3) Wis 13 (+1) Cha 13 (+1)

Kellen is an absolute magic nerd and so intelligence is his highest stat, he's also able to use Ferius's throwing cards almost immediately so he must have high dexterity. He's a little nerd at this point so his strength and con are both low. His charisma and wisdom are both medium to represent his abillity to trick Tennat, but the fact that he's still quiet arrogant and has a lot of growth to do,and his wisdom will grow better as he learns from Ferius.

Feat: Magic Initiate: (to represent his weaker but present magic.)

Cantrips:

Gust (Kellens singular awakened band is for breath magic), Firebolt (To be used when Kellen gains Ferius's explosive powders).

Spells:

Burning hands (The more powerful version of burning hands he gets from mixing the blood of Reichis's mother into the powders.)

Class:

Rouge lvl 1. Proficiencies: Sleight of hand, History, Investigation, Insight, Deception, Arcana, History.

Expertise: Sleight of hand (Kellens training in the hand motions for spells explicitly gives him very agile hands), Arcana (Kellen is obsessed with magic and I.D's any spell he sees across the books almost instantly).

- Ferius Parfax (Adult) during the time period of the spellslinger series.

Variant human (Feat: martial adept) from her time with Sir Rosarite and Sir Gervais

Maneuvers: Feinting Attack( gives advantage for that sneak attack damage and would allow her to get a crit on Enna during the prolouge to Fall of the argosi), Lunging attack ( extra reach and mentioned in text as a way she attacks with her rapier)

Stats: Str 8, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 16, Cha 12

Abillity score improvement: Wisdom. With age comes Wisdom and with it the frustrating inscrutability of an Argosi.

Class:

Spellslinger: Rouge lvl 2, Monk lvl 4 (Subclass: Path of the Kensei) (I considered drunken sway as her monk subclass but Ferius consistantly uses her playing cards and extendable metal baton to deflect, disarm and debilitate foes and that specialization feels more in line with a Kensei Monk)

Background: Urchin

Proficiencies: Insight, Persuasion, Deception, Stealth, Sleight of hand, Survival, Perception

Expertise: Insight (Ferius states in way of the argosi that she learned from a young age how to read people to stay safe), Sleight of hand (Ferius is an accomplished theif and card sharp and would need to be good with her hands)

Nothing prepared Argo for this. But to be fair, nothing prepared E for being carried down from a tall ship to a parking lot by a complete stranger while in labor.

She attempted to remain calm as her body wasn't telling her to push just yet but it was certainly too late to stop. This did explain the weird hormonal swings this morning...

When asked how she was feeling once they were in the car, she just blinked and answered "Just taking it in....." Almost eeriely. It wasn't until they were almost near the hospital that she became more talkative. "Okay, ow, now it hurts, ow, whoof, yeah this is unpleasant, augh-"

The admitting team set E up in a room for humans and placed an identification band on E and Pop. After a quick examination, the qualified modified/doctor (E wasn't paying too much attention) let E and Pop stay while they led any relatives to a nearby side room, letting them know it won't be long.

It sure felt long to E. Avoiding any graphic details, it was a little over an hour until a baby cry was heard. The team quickly moved the baby to get all the human fluids off, but then after a quick check of vitals, they were deemed as healthy.

Finn was right, she should have slapped him. If anything, it's super weird that a fell monster, of all types, didn't deck a guy for saying shit like that. The patrons, fell or not, would have probably joined in.

Briar curled up on themselves.

A whirring could be heard. Sand moving. The sound of an older angry sister driving up.

"I heard ocean screaming -" Aspen barrel rolled from her chair and embraced her sibling. Briar relaxed. After a few moments of assessing the level of frustration, she looked up at Finn and motioned for him to bring it in for a group hug.

Swing was the softest sweetest looking thing. He had his fathers face for sure, but pop insists that he has Es eyebrows somehow. He was a big baby for a skeleton. If he had meat on him, he would’ve been nearly 8 1/2 pounds. The baby had a sort of scratchy sounding cry that the doctor assured pop and E was normal.

Pop: he’s beautiful! Oh my stars I can’t believe he’s here!!

Pop hadn’t left Es side at all during the birth, and didn’t seem at all terrified. Perhaps more curious than anything. According to all the books he had read, and the doctors reassurances, it was a straightforward healthy and problem free birth.

Of course he’s super affectionate with E now, always purr in and nuzzling. She has to tell him to back off once she wants to get some rest lol
