Hello! I like your blog and the little comments here and there makes me laugh at times hehe ^^ May I request headcanons for Vil, Leona, Mal, and Floyd reactions and what they'll do to reconcile w/ the reader after a very hearted argument to which Reader may have said "I hate you" before storming out. Would they wait for a bit? A few days or hours? Or would they be upfront with their apology immediately? Reader also apologizes at the end, crying slightly if that's okay. If you notice me, thanks!
°•°•𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐇𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐞?•°•°•
HC's with: Leona, Vil, Floyd, and Malleus.
Note: Ofc, I was late yet again. Pls forgive me dear sir... And ofc tumblr hates me so it won't cooperate! Drafts got deleted 3 times.... so if it somehow becomes inconsistent... I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE! STONE ME GENTLY! anyways, i hope you enjoy this, actually no, I beg that you enjoy this?! Idk lololololololololol.

“I HATE YOU!” with bits of tears in your eyes, you slammed the door shut behind you leaving Leona dumbfounded all by himself.
You hate him?You hate him!?!? Is that like for real??? He’ll scratch the back of his head in shame of pushing things too far to the point you were in tears.
But what can he do? His pride caught the best of him and he acted rash in the heat of the moment. This prideful lion just doesn’t know when to shut up smh.ಥ‿ಥ
He’ll try to remember when did everything started to go wrong, but he'll just get more and more guilty the more he thinks about it.
“Tchhhh... I messed up big time...”
It's not his style to give up easily, but his mind was set in a frenzy the moment he thinks about you leaving him.
A day without you started to become dull and boring the moment he grew fond of you. So it somehow became a habit of his to constantly seek you unconsciously. Whether it's a whiff of your scent, your voice ringing in the hallways, even the sound of your footsteps is something he could easily recognize.
But now that the two of you fought, this lion will find any way possible to avoid you seeing him.
Yeah... it will probably take a while for him to apologize...(꒦ິ⌓꒦ີ)
But when the time does come, expect Leona to prepare a simple yet sincere apology.
“Oi herbivore... Sorry about the other day ok? I missed my pillow for a while now...I lose...”
Simple yet sincere :') The prideful arrogant lion somehow learned to apologize despite his ego way ahead of him. He can't stand the thought of loosing you ok? (。•́︿̀。)
°•°•°•°•𝙑𝙞𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙚𝙣𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙩•°•°•°•°•
“VIL STOP IT! I hate this! I hate everything! I hate you!” you quickly ran away to the door as vil stood in his spot stupefied.
You hate him? You hate the Vil Schoenheit himself? Then so be it...
Vil is basically pissed and angry™. Moreover, you had the guts and audacity to tell him you hate him. His pride was shattered in front of him. And he's not happy about that (꒦ິ⌓꒦ີ)
Nope. Nah. Never. He's not apologizing anytime sooner now. He'll be waiting for that spicy well deserved apology you have for him...
He'll try his best to avoid you and give you the sassy cold shoulder treatment™. It will probably last for a few days or maybe a week. He has his pride y’know?
Not until he hears a muffled sob in the hallways and realized it was your voice. You looked visibly upset and sad as you cried your heart out, all alone in the empty hallways.
Oh no... What did he do? Was his nagging that bad? Did he take it too far with the makeovers? Guilt ate his soul away as he tried to sort out his thoughts with the clear image of your crying face embedded in his mind.
“Okay... Maybe I did take it a little too far...”
Making up his mind, Vil will try to make everything set for tomorrow and apologize to you to fix this feud  you both have. ( ╹▽╹ )
When classes are over and the two of you finally get to be alone, Vil will try to straighten this misunderstanding now! ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
“Hey Y/n I just want to tell you... I'm sorry.” “Vil I'm so sorry for the other day!-”
The both of you stared at each other with shock... Did the both of you just say sorry at the same time?
“Pfffttttt-” The both of you laugh from how hilarious this moment was. It felt as if the fight you had didn't happened at all. (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
“Y/n I'm sorry... I took it too far with what I do without asking your opinion first...”
“Yeah... I'm sorry I lashed out at you too... That was petty...”
Vil will definitely make a million dollar once in a lifetime seen smile, so you better treasure this rare sight!!!(。•̀ᴗ-)✧
“No more fighting, okay? ”
•°•°•°•°•𝙁𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙙 𝙇𝙚𝙚𝙘𝙝•°•°•°•°•°
“Floyd I hate you!” you slammed your way out of the table, running away from Floyd.
Angering Floyd was not the brightest Idea in the book. His infamous “bad moods” was not something anyone would like to experience. But somehow, he was really pushy and annoying today and you were fed up with it.
“Ahhhh~ Koebi-chan hates me now? what do I do?”
Thankfully, Floyd wasn’t really angry, though he was sad and heart broken that his favorite person said they hated him.(╥╭╮╥)
Floyd is an impulsive boi, so he might secretly follow you to see your face or something lol.
Ofc, Knowing Floyd, he’d definitely skip classes and skip his job at the Mostro Lounge  due to his mood swings. Ofc, a certain octoboi wasn’t really happy with this.
Azul will probs tell Jade to help out his brother or something, lol Azul be secretly worrying for the two of you loooool.
However, with the help of Jade, the mushroom eel himself, he can guide his brother to make up with you!!!
Thank god mushroom eel is here to save the day! ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
A fight with Floyd won’t really last long. Because Floyd being Floyd, he’ll naturally come to you like nothing ever happened! That’s why you have to be patient and understanding when it comes to Floyd ok?
With the biggest hug from behind you. There was a cute eel boi that has come to ambush you with love!
“Shrimppy! Don’t avoid meeee! I miss you so much so hang out with me at the Mostro Lounge againnn!”
Floyd is not really good with his words nor his apologies. Though, his blunt and honest demeanor is definitely one of his charming points!!!! (☆▽☆)
“Shrimpy! I have some takoyaki with me! let’s share them together ok?!”
Ugh, Floyd is too cute... It would be a capital sin to not forgive him and decline his offer! Tsk I’m watching you, you better accept that apology!
•°•°•°•𝙈𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙪𝙨 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙖•°•°•°
“MALLEUS I HATE YOU!”
Shock. Pure shock. You hate him? The last thing Malleus wants is to hurt your feelings. In his eyes, humans are delicate and vulnerable beings, so he tries his best to protect you and treat you with utter delicacy. Yet it seems as if he failed to do that...
Just before you slam the door behind you and escape this fight, a hand grabs your wrist in attempts to stop you. Nonetheless you still make your way out, leaving Malleus standing there alone.
Malleus was deeply hurt and sorry for making you sad and angry. His heart was shattered with the thought of you leaving him, someone who made their way this close to his heart, someone he cherishes deeply.
But this fight wont really last long because Malmal would definitely try and apologize as quickly as possible!(ᓀ˵▾˵ᓂ)
Malleus is the soft type of person and I feel like he’d give up easily if it was you lol.(。•́︿•̀。)
Even if his apology was heard but not accepted, he’d gladly say his sorry no matter how much time and patience it will take, just for you to forgive him.༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
He’ll try to give you and Hour or two to clear your mind, then he’ll apologize!
Standing in front of your room, he’ll knock lightly at the door in front of him... No answer... So you’re still mad huh?
Leaning his forehead at the door, He’ll try to talk to you in hope for you to come out of your room. But nahhh, no signs of you leaving your room soo (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
He’ll mutter apologies after another just in case you hear them :’D
“Y/n I’m sorry for hurting your feelings earlier... that was rash of me to say, so I truly apologize... I hope my feelings reach you.”
Hearing his voice, it would prolly sound as if he’s ready to cry any moment by now. You’d be a monster if you don’t forgive this fae cutie!!!(┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
When you finally come out of the door to see him. I bet you he’s moment away from his tear dripping down. Ó╭╮Ò
“You’re not mad now right? Then is it fine to ask if we eat some ice cream later?”
You bet that Malleus would give you the biggest  cheeriest grin in the entire world! oh the things you keep doing to him never surprises him. Pls dont leave this cinnamon roll or else-
That's it cuties! I need to sleep now- my classes are thriving, but I'm not!!!
God, school stuff are taking away my precious freedom and time for writing smh.
Oh god, I'm ranting again... What's new? AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Anyways, I need to woosh now and I hope you enjoyed this one!!!

how i would have changed s2 of hsmtmts
obvious disclaimer but im not a screenwriter or anyth so im not claiming what i want is best, this is just for fun lololol
okay so first of all nini would still have dropped out of yac but she wouldn’t have gone back to east, she would have transferred to north bc she was too ashamed to tell anyone she left at first and maybe she still wants to explore who she is away from ricky and the others
nini could join north’s batb and this way maybe we could have some playful rivalry with lily and nini and more scenes with antoine shdhdjdj also it could have been a great opportunity to flesh out lily’s character so those scenes where she reaches out to ricky and her confession at the end of the season actually make sense lol
speaking of ricky ,,, i think he should have left the play at some point hear me out. he only joined in the first place because of nini and barely wanted to do it at all once he realized he wasn’t gonna be able to perform with her. he could have joined crew and been a manager with natalie or smth considering he rlly does see the theater gang as a second family. also this would leave so much room for ej and ricky development and bants since ej joined the av club and began to pursue film. they could have some convos where idk ricky asks ej how he figured out what he wanted to do after duke didn’t work out and ricky could actually develop some interests that arent the play or nini ,,, maybe fucking art club i mean he did p good on that centerpiece for carlos’ quinceañera.
with ricky not being the beast anymore i think seb should take his place that would be soooo good. and since seb isn’t chip anymore carlos won’t make those snide comments about chip being a small unimportant role and we can just cut that whole fight bc it was dumb and bad. we could still have seb being insecure that carlos is only dating him bc there aren’t really any other gay guys at school. in a heartbeat is great and i did like ricky being supportive in the background it was kinda funny too idk dhdjdjfj
ooh i almost forgot abt rini ahshdj okay so i still think they should break up. but in my version there’s no ricky pulling an ej 1.0 and deleting comments off of nini’s insta, cause with ricky in art club and nini at north trying to figure out what she wants i think one of them would realize that they’re going in different directions and only got back tgt because they made each other feel safe cause what they had was familiar. this could be triggered by ricky mentioning smth abt nini at yac and then nini breaks down and tells him that she dropped out and is at north and doesn’t know where she’s going. and then they can both realize they aren’t good for each other rn and have a less tragic mutual break up.
honestly i really liked the scene of nini taking charge after miss jenn freaked out cause with the character detail of nini giving every person in the cast of productions she’s in a thank you note she just seems really like someone who is suited to lifting others up. this could still be explored at north, maybe she could help lily through her issues that were briefly implied in ep 11 and nini realizes she wants to be a drama teacher and encourage kids to go off book and put themselves into their acting, something she couldn’t have at yac.
okay now ej ,,, so like i said in ricky’s section, more bants between them cause i feel like friendships kinda fell by the wayside due to all the relationships so more friendship !!!! also the scene where ej tells his dad he’s not going to duke shouldn’t have been an ending scene, it should have been fleshed out with his dad pushing back saying how he pulled all these strings to get him in and ej saying he doesn’t wanna go if his own hard work couldn’t get him there. and also more scenes of ej doing av club things !!! and realizing he rlly likes film and wants to do it OMG IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF HE BROKE THE FOURTH WALL AND ASKED THE DOCUMENTARY CREW ABT THE FILM INDUSTRY god i would love that. the only scene we rlly got of ej doing film things was at the quinceañera which made me kinda sad. uhhh also i just wanted to specifically mention how ej got mr mazzara that job at cal tech bc it really showed how he wanted to be there for people not just for gina, who he had a crush on, but for mr mazzara who supported him outside of romance, so i wanna keep that for sure.
gina !!! okay so i mostly liked her arc in this season, the only changes i would make would be to flesh it out a teeny bit (god this hypothetical s2 would have to be like 22 eps at least shdjdjdjfj) anyways besides ashlyn singing home to get gina to stay i think there should be a scene where they actually talk in her room abt how gina feels safer when shes on the run (second chance reference ilysm) hhhh and also a scene of her and carlos actually working out compromises for their choreo cause i liked that bit of development too and fleshing that out would make gina an even better foil for lily, who felt a need to hog the spotlight like gina used to. with gina’s own arc fleshed out her character would feel more whole independently from romance and portwell would be even more rewarding than it is in the current s2. the only thing i would really change abt portwell is that they would kiss !!! in the finale but thats bc im biased.
ashlyn should have gotten a more fleshed out storyline about being insecure about not being a good enough belle or the typical belle. there were some throwaway lines when north did their typical dramatics but the only two real scenes that showed it were when ash talked to big red about it and when she was telling nini she wanted to do a run in “home” bc lily did it. ashlyn should get more screen time where she has to grapple with the reasons she doesn’t feel good enough and big red can still support her but also gina too bc i would like more roommate besties interaction.
kourtney could still date howie, that harry potter shit was cute but there needs to be smth else for kourtney’s arc. idk she’s still into fashion so maybe she could be out here trying to create her own line or smth? this doesn’t have to be resolved in s2 like making a wholeass line takes time and she could work on it into a potential s3. kourtney just didnt get much outside of howie and the stuff at the beginning of the season where she said nini inspired her to be independent and that's why she got a job was just dropped?? so i think that fashion could fill that for her if she’s still dating howie cause like having her whole arc just be the pizza place kinda overlaps w big red’s mini arc abt how he wasn’t settling for hospitality, its what he wants to do with his life.
ik what ur thinking. anna, even if you added more episodes, where would u find the room to add all these plotlines?? well first we cut (most of) the seblos fight, so thats some time saved. honestly most of the time that we r going to gain is going to be from cutting ms jenn’s time. things like ms jenn’s and nini’s car ride would get cut, but mostly all of ms jenn’s romances would get cut down. considering she’s the teacher and isn’t actually a character with an arc how does she have THREE love interests this season?? like all of the weird tension between her and zack can be cut, like just some short scenes of them being competitive can stay. all of the stuff with ricky’s dad can go bye bye we don’t need it. i did like her w mr mazzara so most of that can stay i just didn’t like how he said he would give up cal tech for her, ew no that would be gone.
the MENKIES !!!! this is the last thing im gonna address cause in a perfect world every character would get a long fleshed out arc but then the season would be waaay too long and also im mostly trying to work within material the show gave so this is mostly made up of “realistic” deviations from what actually happened. lol idk what that even means it just makes sense to me. but anyways!! uhhh bro idk i thought them dropping the menkies was funny but it also made the finale really BAD lmao. in this finale, seb is the beast, east still had to deal w the fact that they’re underfunded compared to north but no one is injured, lily is less of a poorly written character and maybe ppl are even rooting for her, and wow i just realized i never actually said what role i think nini should have in north’s show. OOH she could be student director instead of lily cause lily both being in the play while also directing was weird considering omg i just checked and according to her wiki page shes a FRESHMAN?? and they let her be student director? lol hell nah. okay so with all that in mind ,,, the menkies should have been the season cliffhanger instead of portwell. east and north should both be nominated, both schools perform at the menkies, and then the award winner is about to be announced and THATS when it cuts to natalie and the end of the season.
one, this actually gives more tension for a summer s3 as we would be waiting to see the consequences of whichever school won. also i bet people would be wondering if nini’s gonna be transferring back to east or staying at north. people would also prob wonder if ej would be getting the scholarship if east won and what that would mean for his interest in film.
lmao that got longggg and idk if anyone’s even gonna read this but it was fun to do :D

RE:ID Rant! /SPOILERS/
I just finished watching Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and made some scene pack which you can find here.
I’m not the biggest fan of putting my opinion out there on the internet but I'll try to write my opinion while still be careful.
NO HATE TO ANY CHARACTER LISTED BELLOW THANK YOU!
Anyhow, I need to talk about it!
First of all, amazing character design and rendering. All the characters looks amazing and I adore the little details, for example, Leon's little head twitch or look at the president’s facial details. I think we all agree that they aced in that department. (will talk more about that subject after character analysis)
Now, the plot... the plot.
Look in all honesty it was a nice plot but i felt it went a bit too fast, not enough build up and stuff. I don't have much to say on it, only a few default on the characters and why and how things happen but I'll talk about that through character analysis.
Okay, about our main character Leon.
He was badass, I'm so surprised he knew what to do in the submarine, honestly that was a good scene I was really anxious for him. He did care for the people around him but I didn’t get that sweet side of him like he had in RE2 or in DAM, I'm saying this because even if he saw Shen May’s brother, he didn’t have the empathy of his last wishes, like Shen May basically said: “He doesn’t want this to happen again and that why this *the chip* can help us.” And what annoys me the most and that both the ‘villain's’ didn’t deserve to die so the least he could do is to not make it *the virus* happen again.
I am revolted at Leon for not giving the chip to Claire, not even telling the president about this shit! LIKE BRO. Also denying Claire, thinking he knows best?! Excuse me but Claire literally interviews people, she knows the Press! Anyhow, Annoyed...
Now let’s talk about Claire.
My girl Claire! They made her a side character that didn’t have much to add only confirmation to our suspicions which is good yes, but it isn’t Claire’s job, she deserve a much bigger role in the RE universe! I get it, she was also a ‘side’ character in RE2 and Leon is the star but still tho! She did give #girlboss energy which I am LIVING for! She was stunning! her character design and CGI was beautiful and I've seen a lot of people saying that she is ‘ugly as shit’ as i quote. I’m sorry but she looks realistic and you are going to cry about it? She is around her mid-tweenies, maybe around 27 and you gonna tell me that her being realistic is ‘ugly as shit’?! Yeah nah sorry pal, go and like Shen May (no hate to her, she is gorgeous) then and not our OG Girl Claire!
Claire deserved a bigger role and she is smart, like she is fucking smart! She almost decoded everything before the agents came and kidnap her, one of many reasons she should’ve had a bigger role! (Also please, your hand in marriage Claire ilysm)
Next on the list is Jason.
Okay, I'm sorry but i am in love with him.
I’m sorry okay! He fits the dilf characteristics and I cant-
Anyhow back to analysis.
I feel horrible, he didn’t deserve to die, the man had serious mental illness and PTSD involved, they showed that but they killed him off. Why? Because he wanted to stop the virus from ever happening by his own ways? Even if it is a violent way, there is still, there was a logical and reasonable. Honestly i think and/or probably, a lot of people might relate to him and Shen Mei, because he has PTSD and mental health issues and Shen Mei lost someone close to her and they are both trying to make the world better, in their own way and for Capcom to kill them both is such a shame..
Jason is such a badass tho like.. damn~  He was really well written as a side character, like, I enjoyed when he was on screen (Maybe because i like him but whatever)
Last but not least, Shen Mei!
I’m gonna be real and probs a lot of people are not going to like this but she was the least prominent character for me, like, yes she stands out a bit but for at least 2 episode she is.. just there and having little dialogue. But i did enjoy her twist, i felt like all that nothing from her was worth in someway. She is definitely #girlboss *chef kiss* and i can relate to her on a deeper level. I enjoyed that she silent for 2 episode because i can relate that she doesn’t talk, that she only listen and observes. I enjoy how she will do anything to help the people she love and that think that's what make Shen Mei a great character! Overall i did enjoy her character and i think her side role is very well placed with her personality.
CGI and Rendering Rant
I need to talk about the amount of details in the male characters but lack of it for female characters... You can see how, The President, Jason or Leon have detail, you can see their pores on their skin, you can see their history and age through those CGI detail on their skin and others but.. Claire or Shen May, their skin is  perfect. They do have a few details under her eyes but no pores, no small wrinkles, nothing. I think that's a shame. Shen Mei looks absolutely perfect, you cannot tell me that there is any default on her. I think that is marketing.. what I mean is that Shen Mei is an attraction for people to watch REID. She is absolutely stunning and has no default.
I was talking with a friend of mine that studies human biology and we were talking about those details, we went on the subject of the women representation and rendering and we both suspect makeup is involve. What i am saying is that Capcom doesn’t show those pores because : Makeup.
It can be a valid point. Exhibit A is Shen Mei eyelashes and slight makeup, she is meeting the President after all. So of course she would whip out some makeup. (I know i would.) Shen Mei eye Lashes are way longer longer than Claire’s which would go back to out theory of make up.
Photo comparation:
Tumblr media
Claire in her hotel room.
VS
Tumblr media
Shen Mei in the submarine. You might think that it’s not convincing enough but keep in mind that Shen Mei is looking up as her head is downwards!
Coming back to skin. In the last two picture, yes, you can see pours and details of the face of Shen Mei but i want to talk about normal viewing of the two character VS male character same view point.
Photo comparation:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The girls, looking perfect (ily both sm)
VS
Tumblr media
Leon at the (almost) same camera leveling and depth and you see way more characteristic then other female character even when Leon and Claire are around the same age. But they did nail it when the camera was close on both women.
Adding a note that Claire does show a it of characteristics, more than Shen Mei and the we get people calling her ‘Ugly as shit’ for having a realistic face.
Maybe Shen Mei is younger, Probably and surely but I'm 18, i have facial characteristics. the only thing that is realistic is her beauty spot which is a really nice touch I love it.
Anyhow i think I'm done talking about it.
I enjoyed watching the show and i was excited for it! i hope everyone enjoyed it! Also I love all the character, I'm not bullying them or critic them for their physic or anything else! I’m just ranting about things that was ‘negative’ only because i enjoyed so many aspect of it that the post would be longer aahh.
A few positives I will list are:
Camera angles (immerced)
Character movement (No awkward movement or glitch)
Motion blur (None sickening blur, right place Motion blur)
Lighting (Accurate lighting, not forgetting lighting through hair, ear etc)
Animation (Overall fucking amazing like holy shit)
Tension (Performed very well through animation and plot)
Emotion and facial expression ( I could write a whole essay on that, that’s how well they did it)
I think that's it :)
I hope you enjoyed me rambling on about this, i will write soon I've just had a holiday! scheduled writing around the end of next week!

RFA PLAYS AMONG US HCS
YES I LOVE THIS
And imma add the minor trio and Rika too!
RFA+minor trio+Rika playing among us:
Zen:
As crewmate: he’s pretty chill, his avatar is the white one with a halo (because he has an angelic face), his name is Zen with a little heart and he sticks with you and Jaehee most of the time. He does some of his tasks, to prove he’s innocent and then he’ll follow you and Jaehee around to sort of “protect” you. When an emergency meeting is called he is the one in the groups that talks and tries to find out who’s the impostor, along with some other people. He will say that you and Jaehee are innocent and he’ll defend you :)
As impostor: he gets caught immediately because he always kills Jumin first and then when an emergency meeting is called he’ll say “I’m sure he deserved it” or he’s just laughing evilly in the background. He will kill everyone except you and Jaehee! Another way of finding out if it’s him is that he will also kill whoever killed him last round just to get some revenge pft. But the more you all play, the better he gets and soon enough he’s fooling everyone around him (I mean he’s an actor, he can lie) so Zen is pretty good at being the impostor (but he doesn’t kill you or Jaehee so that’s another way of finding out it’s him lmao)
Yoosung:
As crewmate: He plays with the light green avatar, and he didn’t really have like an accessory until Seven hacked into his server and made Yoosung’s avatar wear the post it note that says ‘I’m dumb’ or something like that lmao (he also changes Yoosung’s name to baby Yoosung or something like that which makes Yoosung so freaking angry pft.) Anyway, since LOLOL is something that requires teamwork, he’s pretty good at it! He’s always doing his tasks and sticks to you or Seven. He is the one that gets killed first tho, on A L L O F T H E R O U N D S which makes him shout and scream (sometimes he will rage quit while Seven is just laughing his ass off.) Also if he isn’t killed by the impostor then he’s voted off pretty early lmao
As impostor: he’s an angry chihuahua out for vengeance. He normally gets caught in the 2-3 round. Also. He kills V first so thats how you know. He will literally just kill V and then he won’t do anything else, his purpose is complete (he might kill Seven if he feels like it tho.) its pretty easy to know when he’s the impostor lmao. Also he doesn’t know how to really lie and you can catch him pretty easily.
Jaehee:
As crewmate: she is so freaking perfect holy shit. She gets her tasks done super quick, and she’s the one that can actually guess correctly about who the impostor is. Her avatar is the orange one, and she doesn’t really have any accessories, her name is simply Jaehee. When she’s crewmate she’s super cooperative, and she’s just, the perfect player. She loves trying to figure out who the impostor is, and she’s the one that actually uses evidence to get someone voted off.
As impostor: dude. SHES PERFECT TOO PFT. She is literally one of the best impostors. No one is able to suspect it’s her, and she managed to get the group to vote off someone without seeming too suspicious. She also may or may not sometimes kill Jumin first, it mayyybe makes her a bit happy lmao. She will leave MC for last though, and she will follow MC all around the ship. She doesn’t usually kill a lot though, she mostly sabotages the ship and that’s how she wins.
Jumin:
As crewmate: MY BEAUTIFUL BABY AHHH.
So, his avatar is purple, and he has The cat head hat as his accessory. Seven hacked so his name would be Cat Mom. Alright so our baby actually gets killed first lol. If Yoosung doesn’t get killed, then it’s him. He also finishes his tasks quickly (once he learns how to really play, it does take him a while and he will need your help.) When he isn’t killed he’s also really good at finding out who the impostor is, using facts and logic. He’s a genius my babyyyy. I love him pft. Anyway, Jumin is really really good at finding the impostor which is why they also always kill him lmao. He will stick close to you no matter what.
As impostor: listen. The first time he played and got impostor, he immediately said in the chat: MC can you explain this to me? I can’t do the tasks, and it only lets me ‘vent’ and ‘sabotage’. Do you know what this means? Also why is my name in red?”
He shortest round ever lmao. But then, he’s super good, once he gets the hang of it. The only people he refuses killing is you and V. He’s super good at lying, no one can tell it’s him because he’s perfect at defending himself. Jumin kills and sabotages, he usually does a bit of both. If he has to kill someone like you or V,he will immediately apologize in the chat, and apologize for everyone he balmed or killed too lmao. But it’s so cute. Also Seven taught him that whenever a game finishes he has to say ‘gg ez’ and now he won’t stop saying it. ‘Mr. Han, we managed to sign the contract with Mr. Kim.’ Gg ez. He leaves the chatroom, he signs off with gg ez. ‘Jumin would you like your pancakes with sugar?’ Yes love, thank you. Gg ez. It won’t. Stop.
Saeyoung:
As crewmate: boi. This guy is just super chaotic. He will act like he’s the impostor to scare everyone. He will be following you to make you uneasy. He doesn’t really do the tasks, and mostly focuses on teasing Yoosung or Jumin. He’s also the reason Yoosung gets voted off pretty early lmao. He’ll call an emergency meeting the first 5 seconds of the game and say he just missed you all, and wanted to see your faces pft. Still, when he gets his head in the game (ooo get dat reference??) he’s super good. Sometimes he will play seriously, but it’s like, a 1/100 chance lol. His avatar is the red one, and his accessories will change every single round.
As impostor: He’s still chaotic lmao. As for his name...it’s green lmao. It’s mostly when he’s playing with other people though, but Jumin will always refer to everyone by their username, so he will say “I saw Green vent.” And then everyone will voye Yoosung lmao. He’s like CallmeKevin (his Among Us videos are amazing, rip to peepeepoopoo, 21, Big Chungus, and the rest.) Saeyoung is just a huge troll lmao. He will also kill in front of Yoosung and then proceed to say that Yoosung was the one who did it lol. Oh I really want to play with him lmao it’d be so fun to form a freaking alliance.
V:
As crewmate: he’s super cooperative. His avatar is the turquoise one, and his accessory is the snow crewmate (Seven hacked so V could have one pft.) V always does his tasks. He isn’t one to suspect people, and he’s always the one that reports the bodies. He believes that no one gets voted off unless you’re all 100% sure that the person is the impostor. V was the one that taught Jumin how to play and they mostly spend the whole game together. Also if someone kills him, he’ll be the one to apologize (LMAO I’m sorry, but it’s now a rule that V has to always apologize for something in my head canons, B U T you KNOW he would! This man will apologize for being born lmao -honey no please-)
As impostor: he will lowkey cry. Nah I’m joking lmao. He doesn’t kill everyone and mostly uses sabotage. He doesn’t really blame anyone either. He’s like...a pacifist impostor lol. He doesn’t like getting impostor that much, but he’s the one that gets it’s like three times in a row. There’s nothing else to say, because we all know that V ain’t doing shit as impostor lmao he’s a sweet baby that doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. He does sometimes kill accidentally, when someone suddenly appears close to him he will sometimes press the kill button (he always forgets it’s there) and ends up killing the person, then he’ll confess to everyone and apologize pft.
Saeran:
As crewmate/Impostor:
Ray: sweetest bean ever. Has the pink avatar and the little flower as accessory. He likes doing his tasks and will follow you around every where. He’s always super quick to blame Saeyoung though. As impostor he will always kill Saeyoung and V. He’s actually really good at lying, since he looks so sweet and innocent. He won’t kill you.
Suit: Black avatar, knife hat. He’s always suspicious. He won’t let anyone follow him. He doesn’t really do his tasks, and is not one to participate in the chat. He always laughs when someone gets killed. As impostor he always wins. He will kill everyone in a single round, no one really knows how he does it, but when he’s impostor the round is never long.
Unknown: he has the black avatar too, with the fedora cuz why not? He doesn’t really do his tasks, and mostly follows you around. Not to like, frighten you or anything, but he does like teasing you sometimes. He will not take part in the discussion most of the times, but sometimes he’ll just say: it’s zen... and BAM he’s right.
SE! Saeran: he has The pink avatar and the little crewmate pet. He likes doing tasks and walking around the ship. He also won’t really participate in discussions. He doesn’t really like getting impostor, and he will always win by sabotaging. It’s just...something about killing them (even though it’s a game) that makes him feel weird. Sometimes he will kill Saeyoung though, but it’s probs because he wants to get revenge for a prank or smth lmao.
GE! Saeran: he has either the pink or white avatar, with the flower hat or the snow crewmate. He always follows you around and is pretty good at doing tasks. He’s also a bit more active during discussions. When he’s impostor sometimes he will kill Saeyoung, but it’s in a more to tease his brother kind of way. He is pretty good at lying, but he will always tell you if he’s the impostor. He also won’t tell if you’re the impostor on a round too lmao,he’s just so cute and loyal.
Vanderwood:
As crewmate: first. How in the diddly darn fuck did you get him to play LMAOO. He got stuck with the a maid hat and dress that Seven made for him lol. He’s fine as a crewmate, and he is the one to vote people off mostly because of gut feeling. He can always catch Seven when he’s the impostor too lol, he’ll just call an emergency meeting five seconds into the game and type: ‘it’s seven’ and 80% of the time it is.
As impostor: the other 20% of the time he isn’t right about Seven is because Vanderwood is blaming him lmao. He’s a really sneaky impostor, he’s super good at using vents and great at killing people. He’s also one to win the rounds pretty quickly.
Rika:
As crewmate: she’s still sus lmao. Yoosung is always defending her though. Rika doesn’t really do her tasks, she doesn’t really do anything really. She follows you around, and will always say you’re innocent though. Her avatar is the yellow one with ram horns (don’t ask why, it’s the first thing that popped into my head lmao)
As impostor: ahhh she’s super good at manipulating and blaming others. She also frames V a lot lmao. She will kill everyone, no mercy at all. Saeran and Yoosung are always defending her, so she’s pretty good and hiding that she’s the impostor. During meetings she’ll stay quiet and mostly watch, but sometimes she will say something to stir the blame to someone, in such a...natural manner. She’ll just be perfect at shifting the blame without being suspicious. She’s really good at being impostor.

Downpour
Bede/Gloria (dressedinpinkshipping)
Hurt/comfort, fluff, light angst
-
Bede stepped out of the station and surveyed the open, unfamiliar landscape before him. A beach of soft, white sand met crystal clear water of shimmering azure, an endless sea sweeping to the depths of the horizon. Pokemon he had never encountered before lounged on their pink bellies, sleepy eyes drooping shut. He retrieved his Pokedex. Barely a minute off the train, and the Isle of Armour had already proved its worth, and Bede realised that perhaps Ms Opal had been onto something when she suggested that he train here. To reach new heights of pink, or something along those lines.
As pink as Galarian Slowpoke were, Psychic Pokemon weren't cut out for the Fairy Gym, and so Bede decided to let sleeping Slowpokes lie. He sent out his Hatterene, and trained his sights down the beach.
"Well then, my dear Hatterene, shall we find out what all the fuss is about?" he said to her, a resolute smile dawning across his face.
Hatterene chimed in agreement, her dark eyes narrowing as she mimicked her Trainer's grin.
"We'll have to make the most of this opportunity. Ms Opal must have sent us here for a reason, and I won't rest until I find out what exactly the Isle of Armour has to offer."
Bede turned from the blinding white sand and marched along the dirt path, Hatterene drifting by his side.
"The strongest Trainers from around Galar have gathered here to train," he continued, "which means there must be something here that cannot be attained anywhere else."
More Pokemon he didn't recognise darted into the grass. Long floppy ears peeked above the bushes, the chocolate coloured pelt tipped with fluffy clumps of lighter fleece. A brief scan of the Pokemon with his Pokedex revealed it to be a Normal Type, called a Buneary. It tilted its head at him, pink nose twitching as it sniffed the air, and both ears shot upright.
"Hmm, you are rather cute, aren't you? I'm sure Gloria would most certainly fawn over a Pokemon like you."
Bede hid his growing smile behind his hand, a faint laugh escaping him at the image conjured by his mind; Gloria gasping in delight and unable to contain her excitement, her eyes sparkling and twinkling in glee as she practically vibrated with untapped energy, ready to pounce on Buneary at any moment.
A trill of amusement snapped Bede out of his delusion, and he stole the soft smile off his face. Roughly clearing his throat, he took off down the path again.
"Enough distractions," he said, voice coming out tighter and strained. "We're here to train."
He continued down the path, trying to push away the possibility that Gloria was here. Somewhere on the vast Isle of Armour, she could very much be training here as well, and that realisation sent his gaze wandering as if to seek her out, as if an encounter with her could happen at any moment. As he headed past the Dojo, his mind was constantly on alert, distracted and muddled by anyone and anything with a passing resemblance to her.
A flash of dark brown hair in the corner of his eyes made his pulse skip until he looked and saw the face of a stranger instead. Upon seeing that it was someone else, he sighed heavily, frustrated that his attention was so easily stolen. The flutter in his chest, anxious with anticipation, reminded him of how on edge he had been for weeks after finally accepting his feelings towards Gloria. His mind constantly on alert, bracing itself for her to show up at any moment. It was pathetic that after months of dealing with the way he felt towards her, coming to terms with the fact that he was in love with her and figuring out ways to keep himself in check, nothing had changed at all.
Bede couldn't stop himself from jolting as the Dojo doors swung open, heart catching at the slightest chance that it was her, and plummeting when it wasn't. He marched on, away from the building and the Trainers in bright yellow uniforms outside, and decided that he needed - and deserved - to train in peace and quiet.
"Hey, Bede!"
One step short of the wetlands, Bede turned and gave Hop a disinterested stare.
"Fancy seeing you here!" Hop grinned at him, Dubwool at his side. "I had a feeling I'd run into you sooner or later."
"And here I was hoping otherwise," Bede sighed.
It took but a glance for him to determine that Hop was by himself, and that continuing their conversation would be a waste of precious time.
"Look, I didn't come here to mess around. If you'll excuse me, I have training to attend to."
"What, you're not here to see Gloria?"
Having turned on his heels to stalk away, Bede froze with a foot in the air. At the mention of her name, his heart had flopped and heat began to rise across his face. He knew instantly that Hop was taunting him. Dangling information about Gloria like bait on a string, waiting for a bite. Bede refused to react, to give Hop the satisfaction of a response. He marched purposely away.
"Betcha haven't seen what she looks like in the Dojo's uniform," Hop continued, "or that new Pokemon of hers. Glo said she's only introduced him to her closest friends, so I guess if you haven't seen it…"
"I've met Kubfu."
Folding his arms, Bede met Hop's grin with a flat look of his own. Forget propriety, he wasn't about to walk away after that insinuation - at least not before tearing down the smug look on Hop's face. Injured pride swelled in his chest, burning with irritation, and he trooped right back to Hop.
Amusement widened Hop's grin. "Really? Bet you didn't get to touch him though."
"And why would I?"
"Well, Kubfu's super shy. He'd only let you touch him if he trusted you, so if you didn't even manage that much…"
"I had no need to touch Kubfu in order to know whether he trusted me," Bede huffed. "The fact that he no longer cowered behind Gloria said enough."
Besides, his conversation with Gloria had switched quickly from Kubfu to the gift she wanted to give him, the bracelet of woven twigs that hung around his wrist, and he hadn't been able to think about anything else. Even now, he still wore the Galarian cuff she had made for him, amateurish as it was.
"Ah, you've been here before, haven't you?" Hop said. "Must've run into Gloria then; guess that's why you didn't react to my comment about the uniform. You've already seen her in it."
Bede frowned. "No, I haven't. This is the first time I've stepped foot on the Isle of Armour."
He ignored Hop's pointed remark about the Dojo's uniform once again, despite his mind already wandering.
"Then how come you've got a Galarian cuff around your wrist?" Hop pointed at it, an eyebrow raised. "The twigs they're made from are native to the Isle of Armour, you can't get them anywhere else. They're usually made into cuffs to evolve Galarian Slowpoke but… dude, why's it so wonky?"
Hop leant forward to get a better look at the misshapen bracelet, his mouth curling into a crude grimace.
"I'll have you know, this was a handmade gift from Gloria." Bede took a sharp step back, holding the bracelet protectively where it hung beneath his watch. "I would appreciate it if you kept your ill-mannered comments to yourself."
"Wait, Gloria made that for you?" Hop balked. He straightened in surprise, eyes wide. "Gloria did? As in, Champion Gloria? My best friend, the girl you're head-over-heels for, that Gloria?"
Bede's cheeks burned as he glared at Hop. "What other Gloria is there?" he hissed, unamused by having his feelings outed like that.
"Dude, no wonder it looks like that-" Hop cut himself off as Bede's glare darkened, "-uh, I mean, no wonder it looks so… unique. She's never been good at any form of crafts or, heck, anything to do with her hands! It took her years to learn how to tie her shoelaces!"
Heavy thumping in Bede's chest scattered his thoughts, and he looked down at the bracelet around his wrist once again. The bracelet that Gloria, supposedly uncoordinated with her hands, had made for him herself.
"Is there a point to your questions, or am I free to resume my training?" Bede huffed. He absently adjusted the bracelet, his loose golden watch, where they hung. "I have yet to find a place secluded enough so Hatterene and I can work in private."
"What, do I need a reason to mess with a mate?" Hop beamed a cheeky grin. "If you're looking for a place that's quiet and out of the way, then the Forest of Focus might work for you. It's nearby, too - if you head through the Soothing Wetlands, it's on your left."
Bede appraised Hop for a moment, taking in his advice, the comment that they were friends. "I suppose it won't do me any harm to take a look. Thank you."
"No prob!" He sauntered back a step. "But man, she seriously made that for you?"
Hop's insistence over the bracelet made Bede frown. "What about it?"
"Nah, it's nothing!"
The twinkle in Hop's eyes said there was more to it than that, but time was slipping away, and Bede didn't like the look of the grey clouds forming on the horizon. He didn't have the energy, time, nor patience to press Hop any further.
"If that's all, then I'll be on my way."
"Later!" Hop gave him a wave, a flash of a smile, and turned on his heels.
Bede didn't bother to comment that he didn't plan on running into Hop later - or anyone else, for that matter. He was here to train, not socialise, and headed for the Wetlands, for the Forest of Focus, for relative silence.
-
As it turned out, Hop was right. The Forest of Focus was devoid of people, the path overgrown, and the air was filled with the sounds of undisturbed Pokemon. Rustling of bushes, of branches and shrubs, the chattering of Pokemon in the trees and the trickling of a nearby stream was a melody strung by nature itself. Peaceful and serene, there were no strangers in sight. A place where he could truly focus.
"Alright, Hatterene. Let's get to work-"
A dull thump made him pause, and he glanced down towards the noise by his feet. His heart dropped, air leaving his lungs in a sharp, broken gasp, and he snatched his golden watch from the dirt where it had fallen. His fingers trembled as he fastened it around his wrist. Pressed it right to his skin, held it there as the panicked beating of his heart drowned out everything else. The clasp, loose and worn, clicked into place.
Bede took a breath. Then another, and another, deeper and slower than the ones before. He had to be more careful, couldn't let that happen again. Needle-sharp pain sank into his chest with a pang of disgust, loathing that even now, after all this time, he couldn't bring himself to get rid of that watch. After everything that had happened, he couldn't.
He couldn't.
A heavy weight fell over him. The cold metal against his wrist sat as a reminder of his failings, his weakness, his past. It made him work harder. Train harder, to push himself and Hatterene further in the isolated forest. For hours, they trained in the humid air, until sweat and heat soaked into their bones. They trained until the wind picked up, until the forest came alive with creaking and cracking branches and Pokemon began to scatter from the trees. The sky above turned dark and grey, a hint of the storm to come spitting through the canopy as droplets of rain. Bede wiped the back of his hand across his forehead, slick with sweat, and decided enough was enough. The ache in his lungs had become a burn that rose up his throat. Hatterene sagged, drifting slowly over to him, eager for respite.
"That should be enough for today," he said to her with a nod, a faint, exhausted smile that she shared. "You did well, and deserve a break." He returned her to her Great Ball, noting the change in weather. "And I should be getting back before this storm hits."
With a sigh, he rolled his shoulders, and turned to head back the way he'd come. He touched the Galarian cuff in his wrist, his fingers absently tracing the uneven pattern, before he slid his hand up to his watch.
Everything stopped.
Nothing. He felt nothing. No weight, no cold metal, no watch. It was gone. Bede stared down at the empty space on his wrist, his eyes blowing wide. Unable to breathe, to think. Fingers winding around his wrist, grasping the air, his sleeve, his skin.
It was gone.
Heart in his throat, Bede whirled on his feet and swept his gaze over the ground. The dirt, the thick grass, the leaf litter and detritus, his footprints in the soft mud.
No.
It had to be here, he knew it had to be here. He dropped to his knees, brushing leaves and twigs away with hurried swipes of his hands. Scrambling forward across the dirt on his hands and knees, tossing everything out of his path.
It has to be here!
Wind broke through the trees, whistling and rustling. Deafened by the pounding of his heart between his ears, by the panic seizing around his throat like a vice, and he couldn't feel the rain as it fell over him. He felt nothing; not the cold wind, the biting rain, the rocks beneath his hands and knees, the thorns on branches he swept aside. He scrambled to his feet, wiping the rain off his face, unknowingly leaving a streak of mud in its place.
He staggered back the way he came. Kicked and shoved aside leaves and branches, twigs and logs. His hand fumbled for his wrist. Empty. Gone. It was gone. How could it be gone? How did he not notice?
He couldn't breathe. Couldn't see through the rain, his vision blurring, eyes prickling with heat and panic, and he turned around again. Faster this time. Breaking into a sprint, rushing back to where they'd first began to train hours earlier. The dirt, disturbed by their efforts, was now slick with water. The path turned to mud. He hit the ground on his knees, digging through the muck desperately, rocks and branches scraping his fingers raw, burning his knuckles.
No.
He continued. Through the mud, the downpour, the pain.
No, no, no.
Again and again, searching up and down the path, into the overgrown grass and bushes, tossing stones and logs out his way.
No, no, no, no, no.
Back and forth. On his knees, on his feet. Wiping away raindrops, the water, the tears on his face, down his cheeks, smearing mud in its place. Gasping with heavy sobs. Breaths of white hot panic, blazing in his throat.
It can't be-
Thunder crashed in the distance. A flash of light, a flash of realisation.
No.
It went dark. Everything went dark. The forest, the sky, his vision. He fell to his knees and felt nothing.
Nothing at all.
-
Gloria rushed into the Dojo, the wind slamming the door shut behind her.
"Whoa!" She breathed a nervous laugh as thunder crashed in the distance. "That's one heck of a storm!"
She stepped into the Dojo as the rain began to fall in earnest, the wind roaring outside. The warmth and shelter of the sturdy building was a welcome relief, and she was ever grateful that she'd made a run for it at the first sign of rain.
"That's not even the worst of it," Hop said. "It's forecast to get worse from here!"
"Oh, gosh. I'm glad I got back in time, then!" Gloria tidied up her uniform, fixed her wind-swept hair back into its neat bun, and settled down beside Hop. "Have they shut down the trains, yet?"
"Yeah, last one left for Wedgehurst half an hour ago. They're not going to be running until the storm's well and truly gone."
That was understandable, and as Gloria glanced around the Dojo, she found it was full of all sorts of different people, not just the students. League staff, Pokemon rangers, odd Trainers who had been caught out by the storm were taking shelter here too. The air thrummed with the noise of dozens of conversations taking place at once, the floor packed with people. Gloria could hardly hear herself think.
"It sounds like we've got the whole island in here," she joked, trying to settle her nerves.
The buzz of noise was reaching an uncomfortable level, swamping her body with a jumble of sounds from all directions. She heard someone laugh behind her, a young girl squeal to her far right. In the kitchen, chairs scraped against the floor.
The storm outside was looking more and more tempting as the seconds ticked by.
"Hmm, not the whole island," Hop commented. "I don't see Bede anywhere."
Gloria perked up. "Bede? Is he here?" She glanced around the room, spying yellow uniforms, League Staff, Trainers she didn't recognise.
"I ran into him this afternoon. He was looking for a quiet place to train, so I mentioned the Forest of Focus to him."
Gloria hummed in thought. Heavy disquiet settled in her gut as the storm raged outside. Thunder shook the building. Lights flickered. Her heart pounded harder in her chest, and she couldn't stop feeling as though something wasn't quite right.
"Do you think he caught the train back?" she asked, pulling out her phone. They still had service, and she fought the urge to ring Bede then and there. Nerves spun in her stomach, and she didn't want to overreact for no reason; there was no need to panic.
"There's no way he'd let himself get caught in this weather, he's too proud to let anyone see him looking like a soggy Wooloo!" Hop laughed, but his reassurance did nothing to calm the anxious thrum in her chest.
"Yeah, you're right."
She tightened her grip on her phone, held it close in her lap. Her eyes swept over the crowd and back again, trying to spy anything recognisable. Platinum blond hair, a magenta jacket, or the colours of the Fairy Gym. A lump sat in her throat that she couldn't swallow down. Something wasn't right.
Where is Bede?
"I'm going to call him," Gloria said.
The pull on her gut, of her instincts, was too great to ignore. Too fierce, too strong, and she unlocked her phone and called him despite the incredulous look on Hop's face.
"Seriously? He's probably in Ballonlea right now, drinking tea or whatever with Ms Opal." He waved off her concerns. "Arceus, I could go for a hot drink right now."
She focused on the ringtone by her ear, her whole body tensing as the seconds ticked by.
"I know, but…" Gloria pursed her lips when she reached Bede's answering bank, his calm voice telling her to leave a message, and she hung up. Not a second passed before she called again.
Hop raised an eyebrow at her. "For all you know, he could be having a shower or something."
Trepidation sloshed in her belly, and she couldn't bring herself to respond to Hop's unhelpful jibe. Her call went unanswered a second time. She stared down at her phone, at Bede's name, at the picture she'd chosen for his contact. It was from their trip through the Wild Area, a cropped portion of a picture she'd taken not-so-sneakily one morning. A peaceful moment in time captured in the early morning, Bede illuminated by soft light as he cooked breakfast, unaware of the phone trained on him. The serene smile on his face stirred another bout of unease inside her.
"Do you really think he'd let himself get caught out in this storm?" Hop scoffed. "This is Bede we're talking about. Didn't you say he was always checking the weather when you two scouted the Wild Area together?"
"Well, yes, but…"
"But what?"
"I don't know!" Gloria huffed. "Something doesn't feel right. He always answers his phone."
"Maybe he's got it on silent?"
"Bede doesn't put his phone on silent!"
She called him again, staring off to the side as her phone rang by her ear so she didn't have to see Hop's bemused expression.
"You call him often, do you?"
Gloria sent Hop a look.
"Hey, you're the one who said he always answers his phone. You must call him pretty often to be so sure of that."
For the third time, her call went unanswered. She went to call again when Hop snatched her phone out of her hands.
"Hey!" Gloria yelped, lunging to try and grab her phone back.
"You're just gonna keep bombarding him with calls!"
"So what?! That's none of your business!"
Hop jumped to his feet, holding her phone high above his head. "You've gotta give him a break! If he's not answering, he's not answering! There's no point in spamming him with calls!"
Gloria got to her feet and stared Hop down. "Give. Me. Back. My. Phone."
"No can do! Not unless you tell me why you're so insistent on calling him like this."
She huffed. "I already told you; something doesn't feel right!"
"You've gotta be more specific than that."
Hop waved her phone above his head, taunting her. She glared at it, at him, and debated tackling him to the ground in order to steal it back. It was tempting.
"I don't know how to explain it, okay?! I just- something doesn't feel right."
Her heart ached.
"I need to know that Bede's okay," Gloria said, and folded her arms across her chest. "I can't help but feel like… something's happened. I know it's probably nothing, and I'm probably wrong, but…"
She couldn't brush it aside. Something hardened inside her, and she turned towards the heavy wooden doors.
"Hold on, you're not seriously thinking of going out there, are you?"
She didn't look back. "You said he was in the Forest of Focus, right?"
"Glo, come on. He's probably fine!"
"I know," she said softly, pressing her lips tightly together, "and I'm probably an idiot. But I need to know. I'd rather be a soggy, wet idiot than do nothing at all."
"This isn't even the peak of the storm!"
"That's why I have to go now. Bede's not answering and you've stolen my phone, so…"
"Wait, wait, here's your phone!" Hop thrust it back to her, and she pocketed it.
"I'm still going."
He sighed. "I know, but now I can call you if he turns up here. Or if he happens to call you back, you'll know."
"Thanks, Hop."
"Yeah, yeah. Just know that if he's cozy and warm in Ballonlea and you get drenched for nothing, I'm going to throttle him next time I see him, okay?"
That made Gloria laugh. "I'll make sure to warn him."
Above all, above the nervous churning of her gut and the anxiety pulsing in her veins, she wished that Hop was right. She took a breath and made for the doors, shoving them open against the roaring wind. Gloria slid between them before they slammed shut with a crash as loud as thunder behind her. She stepped out into a torrent of wind and rain, of blistering, breathless cold. Gusts of wind threatened to knock her off her feet. Blinding rain fell sideways and drenched her as though she'd been hit with a wave from the ocean instead.
Not once did she consider turning back.
Gloria launched down the stairs, slick with water, and broke into a sprint towards the wetlands. A blazing heat burned inside her. It ached in her lungs, up her throat, and drove her onwards. Forward. Fighting through the storm, through the wetlands, the overflowing bog and thick mud, pushing hard enough to stumble and land on her feet before she had the chance to fall.
One thing - and one thing only - kept her going, and she ignored everything else.
Bede.
She wanted to be wrong.
The canopy above muffled the storm as she burst into the Forest of Focus. It became an orchestra of wind ripping through trees, branches rustling and snapping, a million drops of rain pattering on a million leaves.
For once, she wished her instincts were wrong.
It was dark. Bursts of lightning cut through the canopy, followed seconds later by booming thunder. Trees became humanoid shadows in the depths of the forest. Rushing water warned of an overfilled river nearby, a black void opening up into the ground where it ran. Gloria turned from it, forcing down a panicked thought of the consequences if she fell in. She, or someone else before her.
Pain thumped in place of her heart. She no longer felt the cold; the cloak of thick water covering every inch of her body had sapped the heat from her bones and made her numb. She didn't feel the mud flicking up against her legs as she ran through the forest. Her foot twisted. An awkward step on slick grass, and her stomach lurched as she staggered and fell to her knees. She didn't pause for a moment, not even to wince, and leapt to her feet. Onwards again. Following the path from memory, looking left and right and back again, searching the trees, around rocks, over the bridge. Peering into dark bushes, through the shrubs and thicket.
Light flashed. It lasted a split second, enough to illuminate the path ahead of Gloria and the figure slumped in the grass.
Bede.
Something tore inside her chest. She was at his side before she'd realised she'd moved. Before she could take a breath, her lips formed his name. A gasp, a sob, a cry of desperation as she touched his shoulder, upon seeing the hollow expanse behind his eyes. Wide and unseeing. She took his hand, his fingers cold. Too cold. His face, pale and streaked with mud and water, was marked with the trails of tears coursing down his cheeks.
Gloria fell into him. Against him. Her arms wrapped around his back, pulling him into her arms, pulling his head to her chest, as she broke. She shattered and crumbled at the sight of him, and couldn't do anything else but embrace him.
She hated being right.
Bede-
Her heart ached.
He was cold. Soaked to the bone, shivering against her. He shifted slightly, giving the faintest movement in her arms, and she held him tighter.
"I'm here," she said. A broken whisper against the top of his head. His platinum blond curls cold and damp with water, darkened by mud. "It's okay."
Forcing the torrent of emotions down, Gloria pulled away. Enough that she could look into his face, into his eyes, and urge him to move.
"Come on, let's get you out of this storm."
She regretted meeting his eyes when nothing registered on his face when he looked at her. There was nothing. Nothing at all behind his eyes. She glanced away and helped him to his feet, looping an arm around his back when he staggered.
What happened to you?
Her jaw clenched hard with unanswered questions, to stop herself from voicing the agony that lanced through her chest. Questions could wait. The blistering rain and biting wind would only strengthen, and the chill of Bede's skin, his faint, shallow breaths, filled her with a greater sense of urgency. They had to get out of the storm. Without thinking about it, she led Bede down the path, through the forest, and away from the Dojo. Deeper into the island. Away from prying eyes, from noise, from people, to the shelter of a cave nearby.
Out of the wind and rain, in a secluded, quiet nook, Gloria directed Bede to sit. He collapsed to the ground as though his legs had given way. Slumping forward, his damp fringe fell over his eyes. The tips of his hair were speckled with mud.
A tight lump lodged in Gloria's throat. She turned away from him for a moment, shucking off her bag, and dug out a towel. She had to gather enough strength to look back at him. Words she couldn't say built in her chest, in her lungs and throat, and stuck on her tongue. Heat washed over her eyes. Despite finding him, despite leading him to shelter, she felt useless. Unable to do anything with her friend suffering right in front of her.
It hurt.
She couldn't bear to see Bede like that any longer. She stepped over to him and sank to her knees at his side, twisting the towel in her hands, and he didn't react. Didn't glance up at her, didn't move at all. If it wasn't for the slightest rising and falling of his chest, he could have been made of stone.
Gloria blinked back her tears. Slowly, she lifted the corner of the towel to Bede's cheek, wiping away the thin streak his own tears had left through the mud on his face.
He turned his face away.
It broke something inside her. The towel slipped from her hands, and she reached up to cup his cheeks instead. With nothing else she could do, she wrapped her useless arms around his neck and pulled him into a hug once again.
"I'm sorry-" she hiccuped as she spoke. Broke off into a sob. "I'm sorry. I don't- I don't know what happened, but- but I'm here. It's okay."
She squeezed her eyes shut. Her lips trembled as she fought back a sob.
Whatever it was, whatever had happened-
"-I'm sorry." It was all she could say. "You don't have to say anything, or tell me what happened, but… but I'm here. I'm here. Everything's going to be okay."
She couldn't promise that, she shouldn't, but she did. She hugged him close as he sank into her, his head dropping to her shoulder, Bede finally accepting her embrace. He did nothing to return it, remaining still in her hold, but it was enough. Enough for Gloria to know this was what he needed. It was all she could give, all she could do to stop herself from crumbling any further when his shallow, shuddering breaths reached her ears. The trembling of his body gave his tears away.
She said nothing, and held him until silence fell over the cave once more.
-
Gloria had come out of nowhere. Like a bolt of lightning, she had appeared before Bede in the darkness, as though summoned by the flash of light itself.
Why?
She pulled him into her arms and nothing made sense.
Why are you here?
He followed her directions, her urging, and stood. Walked with her to a cave, out of the freezing wind that threatened to draw all the heat from his body. Her arm around his back was firm. Solid. It was real.
It didn't make sense. Why had she been there, in the forest, in the storm, when the world had turned to chaos around him?
Bede's legs gave way. Strength sapped from his bones, his body heavy and numb, and he collapsed to the ground with no will to fight. All he saw was the empty space on his wrist.
Again, it hurt. It stung. Guilt driving a stake into his heart, throbbing with shame. With regret and disgust.
Why-
Why does it still hurt?
The touch of a towel against his cheek scattered his thoughts. She was here. Still here, still real. Still looking at him with heartbreaking concern that only made him turn away from her with regret.
How could he bear to face her like this?
He didn't have to. Gloria pulled him into her embrace, wrapped her arms around him, and his remaining walls crumbled. Everything inside him snapped all at once and he collapsed against her. His head fell to her shoulder, dampening her already wet shirt with his tears, as his heart gave way to her touch. He felt everything. He felt all his pain and guilt and regret, and gave it all to her. With quiet sobs, he let himself cry in her arms. The words she whispered to him soothed the turmoil raging inside his chest, and he succumbed to her.
He gave in.
"It's gone."
His voice, loud in the silence, cracked. Heat swam behind his eyes, further tears clouding his vision, and he squeezed them shut as he took a shuddery breath.
It's gone.
He didn't want to believe it.
Gloria pulled back slightly, settling her hands on his shoulders, and regarded him for a moment before asking, "what's gone?"
Bede couldn't bring himself to meet her eyes, afraid of what she'd see, knowing that he was unable to hide it from her when she looked at him like that.
She always saw right through him.
Instead, he lifted up his right hand, staring down at it and away from her. Gloria followed his gaze. A moment later, she gently took his wrist, her fingers lingering over the spot where his watch used to sit.
"Oh, Bede…"
The anguish in her voice was too much.
"It's gone," Bede repeated in a fragile whisper.
Her hand shifted to hold his, and he squeezed her hand tight in return. Tears threatened to spill again, his face scrunching up to hold them back, to fight the agony blazing in his chest, and he forced his lips firmly together to prevent them trembling. The hand still on Bede's shoulder slid to his arm, soothingly brushing up and down in an attempt to comfort him. Her gaze remained on his wrist. For that, he was thankful.
"How…?" Gloria tried again. "What happened?"
He took a breath, his lungs heavy and rigid, and it felt like it took all his energy just to inhale. His words came out as a sigh.
"I don't know."
He didn't.
"I… lost it."
Somehow.
It was difficult to speak. Exhausting. His tongue weighed down like a stone in his mouth.
"It fell off and I…" He clenched his jaw, disgust towards himself and towards his pain rising like bile up his throat. "I'm finally free of that wretched thing so why does it hurt so much…? Why can't I-? Why-?"
A sob escaped through his teeth. The chain around his wrist was gone and yet its grip around his soul felt tighter than before. The freedom he'd sought had been ripped away and left a gaping hole in its wake. It hurt. The weight of his regrets, his past, remained.
Why, after all this time, could he not unshackle himself from it? The hold that watch had on him endured, a deep scar seared into his flesh.
"Why can't I release myself from this burden?" It came out as a gasp. Following the burning tears in his eyes, the heaving of his lungs for air. Heat washed down his cheeks as he cried. "Why am I still chained to him-?! I should rid myself of it and be done with it but- but- I can't…!"
His fingers trembled, curled into a fist, as Bede crumbled into Gloria. Shuddering breaths and broken sobs wracked his body. Pain and guilt and everything all at once tore through his heart, and Gloria held on to him through it all. She wrapped her arms around him and shouldered him as he wept.
And he broke down like never before in the comfort of her embrace. The wails that met his ears sounded too close and too far away, foreign and yet familiar, and he knew it was coming from him. He couldn't stop it, like he couldn't stop the pain. He couldn't hold anything back. There was nothing he could do but let it all out; the cries that left his throat raw, the heavy gasps that shook his body, the tears falling from his eyes. Held up by Gloria, he let it happen. Let the floodgates open, his walls collapse, and he held her in return. As tightly as he could, he held her, and it kept him from shattering completely, from letting the darkness take hold.
Bede gave in to her- to her comfort, her concern, her embrace, and they rode out the storm in his heart, sheltered from the turmoil raging outside in the depths of a cave. When his tears had dried, his breathing calmed, when he had no more agony left to voice, he remained in her arms in silence. The shame he felt was not towards how he lingered in her hug, but due to the fact that all it had taken for him to break was a simple, golden watch. A trinket, an object from his past. A chain he couldn't bring himself to remove.
He was shameful. Piteous. Pathetic. Knew he didn't have to say as much for her to know the truth of how deplorable he had become.
It made him laugh. A dry, hollow breath of laughter.
"It's merely a watch," Bede said softly, as quiet as a whisper. Disbelief in his voice. "He didn't deign to gift it to me himself- no, it came wrapped in a box, with assurances from Oleana herself that it was from him. "
Pain flashed behind his eyes.
"For all I know, she could have been behind it, gifted it without his knowledge."
It hurt.
"Why would he have remembered my birthday when he couldn't even recall my name?"
Memories he had buried deep resurfaced. Innumerable, unanswered calls. Awards received without an audience, without recognition. Disinterest in the eyes of the one looked up to the most.
Disappointment.
Movement across his back swept those images away. Gloria, her arms still firmly around him, comfortingly ran her hands across his back. Her touch was tender. Gentle and soothing, and he let his eyes flutter shut from her ministrations. He didn't know how such a simple gesture could be so calming, if she knew how much it would quell the pain in his heart, or if he felt this way because it was her.
Bede sighed. "I should be grateful. Happy, even, to finally be liberated from it-" from him "-yet why? Why does it- why do I feel this way?"
"Maybe... you weren't ready."
He hadn't expected her to answer him, and her voice cut through the silence. It gave him pause.
"I think, and I might be wrong," she continued, "but... maybe it hurts because you didn't have control over it. You didn't actively choose to get rid of it, you had that choice made for you, and… sometimes, that lack of control can hurt the most."
Bede let her words sink in.
"It's okay if you weren't ready. No one gets to decide when you're ready to move on - if you choose to do at all - except you. And Rose, he had such control over your life for so long, a year or two apart from him isn't going to be enough to get over everything he did to you."
Gloria let out a quiet breath, resting her head against the top of his shoulder.
"You've come so far already and, and I know it still hurts. It's still so raw. I'm not able to do much but… but when the storm passes, I'll help you look for it."
Everything stilled inside of him. "You… you will?"
She didn't tell him to leave it. To move on, now that he had a perfect opportunity to rid himself of it for good.
"Why?" He pulled back, pulled out of her arms, and finally met her eyes. He saw then that she had been crying as he had.
She smiled. "Because it means a lot to you. And… and I want you to be able to choose to move on when you're ready." Her expression wobbled as she spoke, as her lips quavered slightly. "How could I not want to help you, Bede? I almost want to drop everything and go out looking for it right now." Admitting that, she laughed. "And- And just because you're attached to that watch doesn't mean you haven't already come so far. You know, it's just a watch. Whether you keep it or not says nothing about you as a person or your past or anything at all. I… I want you to know that."
Bede wanted to embrace her again. His heart ached as he took in everything she said, filling his chest with warmth.
How could he not be so utterly in love with her when she was like this?
Arceus, she… she was everything he needed and more, and he lost himself in her gaze for a moment, unable to pull away, to look away, to see or care about anything else but her. Adoration for her surged in his lungs, rising up his throat with words that formed silently on his tongue, seconds from spilling out.
Everything he wanted to tell her.
Gloria flustered, quickly glancing away. "I- we should, um, try and dry off a bit," she squeaked, jumping to her feet.
The towel that had fallen into her lap dropped to the ground. She went to grab it as he did, their fingers overlapping on the cloth, and she jolted as though the touch of his skin had burned her. Even in the darkness of the cave, Bede could make out the blush on her cheeks. It made his heart skip with a heavy thump.
Gloria snatched the towel, her sudden embarrassment startling him. Nothing he had done, or said, should have elicited such a reaction from her, and his lungs fluttered breathlessly as his mind scrambled to work out why she was acting this way.
"You've, um, got a bit of mud on your cheeks," she said quickly, shoving the towel into his hands.
She wasn't looking at him, and Bede couldn't take his eyes off her. He absently rubbed the towel against his cheek as he studied her, using the cloth to hide the slow trickle of heat that built across his face. Seeing her flustered like this had completely distracted him from his lost watch, a new set of emotions pooled through his veins and washed over the pain. It was as though upon losing it, he had gained even more in return.
The key to his unbroken chains was right in front of him. It had been all along.
-
Something was wrong with Gloria. Her heart galloped at an impossibly fast pace in her chest, thumping like a drum against her ribcage, and she could feel her cheeks begin to flush. All it had taken to set her off like this was a simple look from Bede. In that moment, his eyes raw and red from crying, mud streaked across his face, his damp hair hanging over his brow, something had ignited inside of her. Despite the pain, the cold, the discomfort, he had smiled at her. His expression had eased, light returning to his violet eyes, and it had done something inexplicable to her.
Her heart raced. Blood surged through her veins, her mind dizzy and incoherent. Now wasn't the time for- for whatever this was, and she chided herself for finding Bede adorable in such a vulnerable moment. Guilt pierced her chest, and she tried to shake the giddy feeling in her lungs away. It wasn't right to fawn over how ridiculously gorgeous he managed to be even when he was drenched and covered in mud, when he had been crying on her shoulder minutes earlier. She needed to screw her head on straight and focus.
Gloria peeked at Bede, remaining stiff at his side, and the strings of her heart tugged at the sight of his platinum blond curls damp and plastered to his brow and cheeks. His hair seemed even longer than usual, the weight of the water pulling out some of the curl. Droplets spilled from the tips of his hair and slowly cascaded down his cheeks.
She snatched the towel off him and threw it over his head. Covering his face, his hair, and muffling his yelp of protest, Gloria forcefully ruffled the towel as her heart punched upwards into her throat.
"Y-You should dry your hair as well!" she squeaked.
"Hey!"
She didn't know what she was doing anymore, rubbing the towel over his head because she couldn't bear to look at him for a moment longer. Bede caught her wrists, tugging her hands away from the cloth, and she stumbled to her knees from the motion. The towel fell from Bede's head, revealing his irritated glare. Having fallen to her knees, she was suddenly close to him again- close enough to make out the heat swimming across his face, the embarrassment in his eyes. Her breath caught. His hands, firmly around her wrists, felt like lighting.
"I'm perfectly capable of drying my own hair," Bede huffed.
Gloria opened and shut her mouth wordlessly. She couldn't speak. Not when he was this close to her, not when he was holding her wrists like that, not when the blush on his cheeks melted his glare into something heated and dark. It sent a shiver down her spine and all she could do was nod fervently until he let her go.
She turned away from him, air filling her lungs with a silent gasp, and she fumbled for her bag.
"S-Sorry," Gloria mumbled. She wasn't thinking straight at all. Her heart thumped in her ears, drowning out anything coherent. "It's- It's really cold in here, huh?"
She rubbed her arms up and down, giving an exaggerated shudder, as the cool air in the cave began to gnaw at her skin. Her damp clothes didn't help.
"Do you have a change of clothes on you?" she asked, glancing back at him.
Bede was drying his hair with the towel, and looked over at her from beneath it.
"I hadn't planned to stay here long enough to warrant a change of clothes," he said. "If it hadn't been for me losing my watch, I would have returned to Ballonlea by now."
"Right. Of course." She snapped her gaze back to her bag. Somehow, he'd managed to send her heart rate skyrocketing again. She heard Bede shiver, and almost shivered in return from that faint sound alone.
"I-I have a blanket!" Gloria yanked a picnic blanket from her bag, bundling it in her arms, and gestured with it to him.
"I'm not sure how much a blanket will help, but I appreciate it. It will be better than nothing, I suppose." He took it from her and began to unfurl it.
"You should at least, um, take off some of your clothes…" she trailed off, her cheeks heating as she spoke. "Y'know, since  th-they're wet and it's cold and- and you can use the blanket to, um…"
She wasn't making any sense.
"F-Forget it!" she squeaked, unable to think past the fact that she'd just told Bede to undress when he didn't have a change of clothes to get into, which meant he would be-
"I'm gonna change!" Gloria said loudly. Her voice cracked, and she pulled out her change of clothes. "So- So don't look this way, alright?"
She sent Bede a pointed look over her shoulder, her face ablaze with embarrassed heat, and he blinked at her, his eyes widening.
"You don't have to tell me not to!" he huffed. "Of course I wouldn't…" Bede cleared his throat. "Although, you are right. I should probably remove at least some layers…"
He said that last part quietly, and Gloria snapped her head around so she wasn't looking at him any longer. He was going to take up her suggestion, and that realisation sent a crackle of lightning through her blood. She clutched the dry clothes in her arms to her chest, and tried to shove those thoughts away.
He was her friend, for Arceus' sake! He was getting out of his damp clothing because it was cold and the storm wasn't going to pass any time soon, and the blanket would keep him warm and- and she had to stop thinking about it. Sure, Bede was definitely attractive. He was extraordinarily gorgeous in a way that left her breathless, and she found her gaze lingering on him more often than she'd like to admit, but he was her friend and she shouldn't be gawking over him.
And she definitely shouldn't be flustering over the prospect of him with less clothing on.
Gloria heard something shuffle behind her, the sound of wet clothing being removed, and she jolted. Her mind snapped back to reality. With her heart in her throat, she quickly began to change, and fought the urge to glance over her shoulder to make sure Bede wasn't looking this way.
Of course he wouldn't. There was no need to check, no need to even think about looking behind her, when Bede was most certainly undressing as well. That would be all kinds of wrong.
Gloria took a shaky breath as she pulled on her cozy woolen jumper, and shoved her damp clothes to the side by her bag. Her legs were no more bare now than they'd been in the Dojo's uniform, but she wished she had packed something warmer, or longer, than her pink dress. She undid her hair, shaking out her messy bun to dry it as best she could. As she sighed, silence filled the cave once more.
"Are you, um…" She didn't know what to say, hadn't thought this through. "...decent?"
Arceus. Her cheeks burned with a furious blush, and she squeezed her eyes shut in mortification. She wasn't even facing him, for goodness sake!
Bede cleared his throat. "I am," he said, making Gloria jump.
"Right!"
She whirled on her feet a little too fast, with a bit too much panic, and relief knocked the air from her lungs when she realised Bede had only taken off his outermost layers. His t-shirt and shorts were folded neatly beside him, keeping his long-sleeved top and, presumably, his leggings on. He had the blanket covering the legs and the lower part of his chest, and appeared enviously warm. Gloria's heart stammered in her chest as she sat next to him, with a comfortable distance between them. She faced forward, not letting herself look at him, still feeling awkward- as though he could read the inner turmoil that had been churning in her mind.
It was difficult being friends with someone so undeniably attractive at times.
"Feeling a bit warmer now?" Gloria asked, needing something to fill the silence. She absently rubbed her calves up and down as the cool air seeped into her.
"I am, yes. The blanket certainly helps."
She nodded stiffly. With Bede so close, it felt like her whole body was on alert. Stiff and tense, hyperreactive to the slightest sound, the slightest movement in the corner of her eyes. The situation was so strange, she couldn't bring herself to calm down. Cold wind swept through the cave, the temperature biting, and in a swift movement, the blanket was thrown over her legs.
Bede shifted closer, right up against Gloria's side, wordlessly sharing the blanket she'd given him. Warmth enveloped her. Flooding her veins, her chest, her lungs, and she gaped at him in silence as he looked away.
"That's better, isn't it?" he said quickly.
"You- You don't have to…"
She flustered and stared into her lap. Their shoulders were pressed together, and although they'd hugged before on many occasions, and sat like this before too, it felt different. Worlds apart from their casual hugs, from the time he'd sat beside her like this to comfort her.
"Need I remind you, it's your blanket? It wouldn't be right for me to have it all to myself when you're shivering like that."
Gloria nodded. She'd stopped shivering. "Thanks…"
"Like I said, you're the one sharing it with me," Bede huffed. "If anything, I should be thanking you."
That made her laugh. A short breath of laughter that dissolved the tension in the air. It allowed her to relax, to see how absurd the whole situation was, to realise that she was making a big deal out of nothing. This was Bede. Her friend. There was nothing for her to get worked up about.
With a smile, Gloria leant her head against Bede's shoulder. A comforting gesture that warmed her heart.
"I'm… just glad you're okay," she whispered to him. Her eyes drew closed. She settled against him, relishing in his presence, how calm and peaceful she felt beside him.
She felt safe, and knew everything was going to be alright.
-
When Gloria leant her head against his shoulder, Bede's mind screeched to a halt. Every fibre in his body tensed all at once. He couldn't breathe for a moment, his brain short circuiting in disbelief, as she snuggled into him. The practicality of sharing a blanket for warmth was suddenly lost, thrown out the window, the cave, into the storm, and he glanced at the girl curled into his side in shock.
"I'm… just glad you're okay," she whispered with the sweetest smile on her face, and her eyelids fluttered shut.
He couldn't say anything in return. His heart wedged in his throat, in his mouth, and no words would form. She looked so serene, so peaceful, and he didn't dare move, not wanting to risk disturbing her.
Somehow, she had become something of a panacea to him. Her mere presence at his side was enough to ease the pain, appearing out of nowhere whenever he needed her the most.
In the midst of the storm, she had found him.
"Why were you there?" he found himself asking.
"Why was I where?"
"In the Forest of Focus, where you found me."
"Oh, that." She laughed sheepishly. "Hop said that's where you were going to train."
"But why were you there in the first place? You should have been taking shelter."
"I actually had been taking shelter," she admitted, "in the Dojo."
"So you just decided to go wandering around the Forest of Focus in the middle of a storm?"
Gloria snorted. "No, I'm not that reckless!"
"Then… why?"
Why had she been there?
"I… was looking for you," she said quietly. Sheepishly.
"And you say you're not reckless…" Bede huffed, despite the firm squeeze of his heart. "What on earth would cause you to look for me in the middle of a storm?"
He hadn't given anyone, let alone her, any indication that something was wrong.
Gloria pursed her lips. The bashful look in her eyes, along with the hint of a blush on her cheeks, sent Bede's heart fluttering.
"Well… it's a bit silly," Gloria began. She chewed on her bottom lip as she mulled over her words. "But I… I had a bad feeling about it. When Hop mentioned that he'd seen you earlier, and you weren't there in the Dojo, I just… something felt wrong."
"That's it? You went looking for me based on a feeling?"
"There's more to it than that!" Gloria pouted. "You didn't answer your phone, either."
He hadn't heard his phone ring over the storm, and doubted that he would have answered in that moment anyway.
"I still don't see how that alone would make you venture out into weather like this."
Her expression fell and, for a moment, Bede wondered if he'd somehow pushed that point too far. As though he'd stepped on her toes, hit a sore spot.
"I guess it was a bit ridiculous," she agreed with a sigh. "But I couldn't just sit and do nothing. Not when everything inside me was screaming that something was wrong. Not when… when I've felt like that before."
She went quiet.
"What do you mean?" Bede asked. There was more to this, more to what she was - and wasn't - saying, and he desperately wanted to know. He needed to know, to understand.
"I haven't told anyone about it before," she said slowly. "It's one of the reasons why I'm always going with my gut, trusting my feelings, that sort of thing. Sometimes, most of the time, I'm wrong, but… once, before this, I was right."
Her eyes closed. She took a breath, a slow, deep breath, before continuing.
"It was the day my father died. The day of his accident. He was… hit by a car on the way home from work."
Bede's heart dropped into his stomach. She'd never spoken about this before.
"He was always really punctual, always made an effort to be home before seven at night. But that day… I remember looking up at the clock right as it hit seven and- and I knew. I knew then that something had happened."
She sighed.
"I mean, I obviously didn't know what had happened but… at that moment, I felt like something was wrong. I knew something was wrong. And- And maybe that was just me being an anxious child or finding something in those memories that wasn't there in the first place-"
Gloria caught herself and paused. Again, she took a deep breath to calm herself.
"I just… whenever I get a feeling like that, I can't stop myself. I have to do something. And today, when Hop mentioned that he'd seen you, and the storm was raging, I-I felt like something wasn't right."
Bede found her hand under the blanket and gave it a squeeze. A firm, comforting squeeze, as his heart ached for her.
He didn't know what to say.
"I didn't want to be right," she continued, "I wanted you to be okay. To be wrong, like I have been hundreds of times before this. But I needed to know for myself. I'd rather have wasted my time and got drenched than do nothing at all, if there's the slightest chance that I was right."
"I'm… sorry." It was the only thing that came to him. "I had no idea."
She gave him a faint, appreciative smile. "Of course you didn't. I haven't told anyone about that."
"Well, yes, but I meant that about… your father. And what happened. I'm sorry."
He fumbled over his words, his mouth dry.
"I didn't mean to make this all about me," she said lightly. "But thanks. It's been almost ten years and yet when I get a feeling like I did that day, it's like I'm going through it all again. At least this time, I could actually help someone. I'm glad."
"So am I," he found himself replying.
She squeezed his hand, and Bede's heart skipped. He didn't know if he should keep holding her hand like this or let it go, and the thought that perhaps she didn't mind sent a wave of heat through his veins. He decided to test the waters, to try something a bit more daring, and against all logical reasoning, he threaded his fingers between hers, interlacing them together. She returned his grip, and the air died in his lungs.
Arceus, it was too much. His heart surged, filling with heat and emotion, and he couldn't believe what was happening. That Gloria had found him in the Forest of Focus to begin with, that she was nestled at his side under a blanket they shared, holding hands with her head rested on his shoulder. To be like this with her was more than he could handle, to have her accept him and all his faults, his failings, to offer to go look for his watch with him after the storm passed.
He wondered how on earth he had managed to find someone like her in the first place.
"Oh, I should probably let Hop know I found you," Gloria said, stifling a yawn. "That way, you don't get 'throttled' the next time you see him."
"Excuse me?"
She snorted, pulling out her phone and typing a quick message with her free hand. "Yeah, Hop said that if I went out into the storm and got drenched for nothing, then he'd throttle you the next time he saw you."
"I'd like to see him try," Bede huffed, amused at the thought of Hop trying to fistfight him.
"Hopefully now you won't have to." Gloria pocketed her phone and relaxed again, settling her head further on his shoulder.
It would be easy for him to rest his cheek against the top of her head, and he fought the temptation to do so- holding her hand, their fingers interlaced, was already overwhelming, his chest thrumming and fluttering with heat, and he didn't want to risk pushing his luck any further. This was more than enough for his heart as it was.
Gloria yawned, lackadaisically covering her mouth with her free hand.
"Sorry," she said, catching the end of her yawn and slurring her words, "I had an early start. Went looking for Max Mushrooms all morning."
Bede swallowed the bubble of amusement that swelled in his chest at her sleepy yawn, and bit back a smile. He didn't know how she managed to be so cute all the damn time, constantly tugging on his heart with the most ordinary behaviour. A simple yawn sent his heart fluttering once again.
"Well, since I doubt the storm is going to pass anytime soon, now might be an opportune time to rest," Bede said, as casually as he could.
"Mm… but shouldn't I-" she yawned "-keep you company?"
Her eyes had already fallen shut.
"You don't have to be awake to keep me company," he said softly. Unable to hold back the tender smile on his face. "You've already done more than enough for me."
Gloria grumbled something in thought, in a weak protest, pouting her lips.
"Go ahead and rest. You deserve as much." He reached over and pulled the blanket higher over her so it rested just beneath her chin. As though he was tucking her into bed, urging her to sleep.
She sighed heavily, and sank into the warmth of the blanket. Her body relaxed. The pout of her lips eased. Her breathing slowed as she fell into the depths of sleep, and Bede finally gave in. He lowered his cheek to the crown on her head and smiled. An unbidden, unabashed smile pulled on his lips. His heart, having melted in her presence, swelled with adoration for her.
"Thank you," he whispered into her hair.
The space on his wrist no longer felt so empty.
-
To not fall asleep beside Gloria was an onerous task. Her warmth was comforting in a way that caused him to let down his guard, to relax, to forget the world around them. He found himself dosing on and off, woken by a sudden clap of thunder or the cry of Pokemon deeper in the cave, and chided himself each time for it. Sleep was too inviting next to her. Bede huffed. It wasn't like him to ignore the dangers of sleeping around wild Pokemon, completely throwing aside years of protective instincts he'd drilled into himself, just because of her. Had her naivety rubbed off onto him, or was it because somehow, she made him feel safe?
His worries faded when he glanced at her. Sleeping soundly with the faintest smile gracing her lips, the expression on her face calmed him. Talking with her, crying in her arms, being in her embrace, bit by bit she had chipped away at the cage around his heart and released him from that pain. He knew, with her beside him, that he could forsake the chain that had kept him shackled for so long. He could finally leave it behind.
Her acceptance was what he had needed all along. The Galatian Cuff around his wrist, although not a replacement for his watch, filled the space it had left behind. Just like how Gloria, how Ms Opal and the Trainers of his Gym, how all the people he now considered friends, had filled the gap in his heart left by the wounds of his past.
As the tempest inside Bede began to ease, so too did the raging weather outside. The storm passed. Golden light streamed into the cave as the setting sun breached the dark clouds and bathed the Isle of Armour in warmth once again. He didn't know how much time had passed since Gloria had found him, since they had taken up shelter in the cave, and he couldn't bring himself to wake her just yet. She continued to doze happily on his shoulder, evidently more exhausted than she had let on. As always, it seemed as though she had pushed herself as hard and as far as she could manage, even though no one was expecting her to do so.
That much, they had in common.
Bright light flashed over Bede's eyes, and he recoiled, squinting, and glared at the source towards the entrance to the cave.
"Oh, Arceus this is gold!" Laughter spilled from the person aiming the blinding flashlight from their phone at Bede and Gloria. "I have to get a picture of this."
Bede immediately recognised that cocky laugh, his heart catching in his throat as a shutter sounded. Again and again.
"Delete those right this instant!" Bede snapped.
Heat surged across his cheeks, embarrassment filling his lungs, and he stiffened in shock. With dread at having been caught snuggling under a blanket with Gloria.
Hop snorted. "No way! I'm sending these to Gloria." He flashed a grin at Bede. "And Marnie, and Sonia, and her mum-"
"You wouldn't dare!"
"Wouldn't I?" Hop sauntered over, amusement twinkling in his eyes. "Marnie is not gonna believe this unless I have evidence and, hey, I have a competition to win."
Bede bristled with mortification. "What competition?!"
"Nope, can't tell ya. That'd ruin the whole thing!" Hop kept his phone trained on them. His grin widened. "But wow. Wow. This is what you two have been doing the whole time? And here Gloria keeps insisting that you're only friends."
"We- We've done nothing of the sort! Whatever you're insinuating, you must have your head screwed on backwards!"
"Right. Says the guy currently snuggling with Gloria. And aren't those her clothes next to her bag?" Hop let out a low whistle, his eyes wide. "Maybe I should give you two some privacy…"
Heat surged through Bede's entire body. With the blanket covering Gloria up to her chin and the clothes she was wearing earlier bundled up by her bag, he realised what exactly Hop was getting at.
"Sh-She got changed!" Bede barked quickly. "We got drenched in the storm, so she changed! You- You've got this all wrong. We haven't- we didn't- whatever you're suggesting, you couldn't be further from the truth!"
He tugged the blanket down enough so Hop could see with his own eyes that they were both fully clothed. At the sudden lapse in temperature, Gloria grumbled and shifted closer to her only source of warmth, to Bede. Hop watched on, amused.
"Sure, sure. I believe you." Hop's grin said otherwise. "This is definitely something purely platonic that I'm witnessing right now."
"What are you even doing here?" Bede huffed. He pulled the blanket back up to Gloria's chin, scowling as his cheeks blazed with a dark blush he couldn't force down.
"Glo told me where you guys were, and since the storm passed, I decided to come check up on my mates out of the goodness of my heart."
"I don't believe that for a second."
"Ouch, that's harsh."
Hop's cheeky grin remained firmly in place, evidently amused at Bede's growing discomfort.
"How Glo can do something like this and act like she doesn't have feelings for you is beyond me." Hop gestured at them snuggled beneath the blanket. "You should've seen how distraught she was when you wouldn't answer your phone. I doubt she would've acted like that towards anyone else."
Bede's heart flopped. "She was distraught because-"
Gloria's words came back to him, how she'd never opened up about the feeling she'd had the day her father died to anyone before. He realised then why Hop was reading so much more into the situation.
"Because…?" Hop raised an eyebrow, waiting for Bede to finish his sentence.
"It's not what you're thinking," Bede sighed. "Trust me, you couldn't be more wrong. Gloria, she… she can't help but act when she feels as though someone is in need of help. I'm sure you know that well enough."
Hop looked at Gloria and his grin began to fade. Amusement fell from his eyes.
"Yeah, you're right. And Arceus, she'd hate it if she heard what I was insinuating…" He made a sour expression at himself. "I just… want her to be happy, y'know? If she's got feelings for you, I want her to realise that but… ugh!"
Hop ruffled his hair in exasperation, before sighing heavily.
"I guess it's still too early for that, huh?"
"You don't need to tell me that."
Hop quirked a smile. "Good thing she sleeps like a log. If she heard any of this… the Meowth would be out of the bag for sure!"
"Which is why now would be an opportune time for you to can it."
Bede sent a wary glance at Gloria, finding that her peaceful expression hadn't changed one bit. She was still fast asleep. As much as he didn't want to wake her up, now was as good a time as any. He shifted his shoulder gently in an effort to rouse her.
"Gloria? The storm's passed," Bede said to her. "You should get up now."
"Good luck with that." Hop grinned again, phone ready in hand to take more unwanted photos.
Bede decided to ignore that. He'd already fallen for Hop's taunts twice in one day, and wasn't going to give him any more fuel. Gloria's brow scrunched as Bede nudged her with his shoulder again, and she grumbled something incoherent in her throat. Her eyes slowly fluttered open. She blinked a few times in a daze, Bede's heart swelling at the adorable, sleepy haze in her eyes, and she lifted her head off his shoulder.
Their eyes met. A moment passed before recognition filled Gloria's eyes, before she realised how close they were.
"Oh! Sorry!" Gloria squeaked, recoiling off Bede's shoulder.
The blanket fell as she startled, and it pooled over their laps and revealed that they were still holding hands. Their fingers were still entwined. A shutter clicked. Gloria snapped her head towards the sound.
"Hop?!" She snatched her hand from Bede's. Heat rushed up her cheeks, and Bede glanced away as an identical blush burned across his face. "What- What are you doing here?! Did you just take a picture?!"
Her embarrassment infected Bede, and he felt suddenly sheepish, as though they had been caught doing something indecent rather than simply holding hands. As though that was somehow worse than sharing a blanket, than her sleeping on his shoulder. He could feel amusement radiating off Hop and focused on folding up the blanket instead as Gloria flustered.
"Delete it!" she cried, leaping to her feet in indignation.
"Too late, already sent it to Marnie," Hop teased.
Marnie again. Bede bit back a frustrated huff. He couldn't voice anything in protest, silenced under the weight of mortification at being discovered holding Gloria's hand after assuring Hop that nothing was going on between them. He knew what it had looked like, and that made it impossible to deny what had happened, or what Hop thought had happened. The furious blush on Bede's face pooled to the very tips of his ears and flushed down his neck. An entirely unhelpful physiological reaction.
"Why did you send it to Marnie?!" Gloria squawked. She stamped her foot, folding her arms firmly across her chest as she stared Hop down.
"How else is she gonna believe me?" Hop flashed a grin at her. "Who knew you two were at that stage already-"
"Gimme that!"
She launched herself at Hop and swiped his phone before he could blink. Bede watched on, impressed.
"How many did you take…?!" Gloria swiped through the photos on Hop's phone, her eyes widening.
"Don't worry, I already sent them to you."
"I don't want them!"
She thrust his phone back at him with a huff. The embarrassment on her face shattered into hurt, and her expression darkened. She turned from Hop, her eyes meeting Bede's for a split second, before she marched over to her bag.
"Forget it," she said through her teeth, stuffing her wet clothes into her bag.
Bede sent a pointed look at Hop, who grimaced apologetically. They both knew he'd gone too far.
"Glo, look, I'll delete them." He tapped away at his phone. "And I didn't send them to Marnie, or anyone. I promise."
Bede stared at Hop in disbelief. He hadn't sent them to anyone at all?
Gloria sent an unimpressed look over her shoulder at Hop. A hard, callous stare that made Bede glad it wasn't directed at him. The hurt in her eyes was obvious, and it made her whole body tense as though she was trying to protect herself from further harm.
"You know how much I hate the paparazzi, taking pictures of me all the time when I'm just minding my own business, always insinuating stuff about me, and then you go and do the exact same thing…"
She pursed her lips. Bede knew it was to stop them from trembling. She always did that when she was about to cry, and it pierced his heart.
"Glo…"
"I should be safe with my friends. To be able to relax without- without you acting like them."
Gloria turned away from Hop. Her bottom lip trembled for a second before she bit down on it. Bede went to stand, moved to step closer to her in order to offer her some comfort, when she picked up her bag and stood.
"I came here to support Bede," she said, turning sharply to face Hop. "You have no idea what he went through, what happened, at all. So don't act like them, don't twist what you saw for your own amusement when you don't even know what happened."
"I... I'm sorry." Hop slumped. "You're right, and… man, I really acted like an ass. Sorry." He gave her a regretful smile, turning the screen of his phone towards her. "I deleted them all. Guess I should've known better, huh? You and the paparazzi are like water on an oil fire."
Gloria's expression eased slightly, the corner of her lips turning up at Hop's analogy. "Yeah, pretty much."
"Can you forgive an ass like me?" Hop lifted his arms, gesturing for a hug.
She looked at him for a moment before shaking her head with a smile, and accepted his hug.
"As long as you don't do that again," she warned.
Hop laughed. "I think I learnt my lesson."
Bede sighed to himself in relief. He was grateful that he didn't have to intervene in any way. Gloria had a glare that was sharp enough to kill, and the last thing he wanted was to give her a reason to level it at him.
He took note to avoid resembling the paparazzi in any way, shape, or form.
"Oh, the storm's over!" Gloria realised way too late. "We should get going, then."
"I was thinking the same." Bede nodded, gathering this folded up Gym Leader shirt and shorts, and handed the blanket back to Gloria. She met his eyes when she took the blanket off him, holding his gaze for a moment.
"Did you still want to…?" she asked quietly, looking deeply into his eyes as if searching for something.
He didn't know how to reply, suddenly put on the spot by the depth in her eyes, the concern on her face, and the question she didn't finish lingering in the air.
Did he still want to… what?
All he could think about was Hop's insinuation from earlier, and his mouth went dry.
Gloria tilted her head as she waited for his answer, the motion adorable in a way that didn't help his ability to speak at all. She leant closer, and Bede's breath hitched in his throat.
"Your watch," she whispered, "did you still want to look for it?"
Oh.
Oh.
Bede swallowed, and glanced away from her face, from the warmth of her eyes, in order to form words on his tongue. Did she not realise how close she was standing to him, or did she not care about personal space?
"No," he said.
The finality of his answer eased something in his chest, and he found himself relaxing. Tension he hadn't realised he'd held finally faded.
"No…?" she echoed. Her eyes widened. "Are you sure…?"
Ahead of them, towards the entrance to the cave, Hop stood with his back to them. Out of earshot.
Bede managed a smile, turning to walk towards the cave's entrance. He looked back at her, a steady warmth filling his lungs, and he knew this was what he wanted. He could finally set himself free.
"I'm sure," he answered. "It's time for me to let it go. I suppose all I needed was a push in the right direction for me to realise that."
She returned his smile and fell into step beside him. "If that's what you want… then I'll support you."
With her next to him, Bede found he could stand a little straighter, a little taller. Each step became easier as they made their way towards the Forest of Focus. Whenever he felt a prickle of doubt, all he had to do was glance at her, to remember her support, her encouragement, her acceptance, and he could move forward. He held his head high as they walked through the forest, not once feeling the urge to search for his watch.
He could finally leave it behind-
Something crunched beneath his foot. Automatically, Bede glanced down at whatever he'd trodden on, and spied a glimmer of gold beneath a mound of mud. A golden buckle covered almost completely in mud, yet still recognisable and familiar. His watch.
"Bede?"
From up ahead, Gloria called to him. Her voice stole his gaze away from his watch, and he could suddenly breathe again. Hadn't realised that he'd been holding his breath, that his heart had been pounding in his ears.
"Is everything alright?" she asked, looking as though she was about to head back over to him.
Bede smiled at her, and took a step, and then another and another, until he was at her side once more.
"Everything is more than alright," he said, and lightly touched her hand. He gave it a quick, gentle squeeze, before continuing on after Hop.
Gloria skipped to catch up with him, her cheeks slightly flushed. She caught his hand as they walked, returning the squeeze he had given her, before releasing his hand. When he glanced at her, she glanced back at him, smiles building on their faces.
Everything was more than alright.
It was perfect.

Bad Day
Pairing- Dean x Black Reader, Sam x Reader( Best friends)
A/n- this takes place in season two this may or may not follow the storyline but these are little moments.
Tumblr media
Sam looks down at the mangled car with mixed emotions.
“Oh man, Dean is gonna be pissed.” Sam proclaimed.
“Look, Sam. This... this just ain't worth a tow. I say we empty the trunk, sell the rest for scrap.” Bobby stated.
“No. Dean would kill me if we did that. When he gets better he's gonna want to fix this.” Sam explained.
“There's nothing to fix. The frame's a pretzel, and the engine's ruined. There's barely any parts worth salvaging.” Bobby stressed.
“Listen to me, Bobby. If there's only one working part, that's enough. We're not just going to give up on...”
“Okay.” Bobby said quietly. “You got it. There’s this person I know who can give me some parts. I’ll call her.”
“Thanks Bobby.” Sam said sincerely as he  walks away.
Bobby pulls out his phone to call an “old” friend.
“Hey Y/n, it’s me Bobby.”
“Hey what’s up.”
“Nothing much...say do you have any parts for a 1967 Chevrolet Impala?” Bobby asked.
“Ummmm I think so I will have to check inventory and get back with you. Taking on a another project?” Y/n questioned as she get from up under a car.
“Nah. Its for a friend of mine.” Bobby answered.
“Ok. I’ll check.” Y/n replied
“Thanks Y/n.”
“No prob Bob.” Y/n said hanging up the phone and rolling back of one of the car.

It’s been one week since John died and all Dean wanted to do is fix on baby. Bobby had got him some parts a couple of days ago and ever since then he’s been working on her day ‘n’ night. So when Sam walked out outside to his surprised Dean was underneath his car working on it, only his legs sticking out. It is little more than a rusted frame, but it looks considerably less crunched than last time.
“How's the car coming along?” Sam asked as he walks up to Dean.
“Slow.” Dean replied duly.
“Yeah? Need any help?” Sam wondered.
Dean drops something heavily. “What, you under a hood? I'll pass.”
“Need anything else, then?”
Dean pushes himself out from under the car and stands up. “Stop it, Sam.”
“Stop what?” Sam questioned.
“Stop asking if I need anything, stop asking if I'm okay. I'm okay. Really. I promise. “ Dean snapped.
“All right, Dean, it's just... We've been at Bobby's for over a week now and you haven't brought up Dad once. “ Sam pointed out.
“You know what? You're right. Come here. I'm gonna lay my head gently on your shoulder. Maybe we can cry, hug, and maybe even slow dance. “ Dean said sarcastically.
“Don’t patronize me, Dean, Dad is dead. The Colt is gone, and it seems pretty damn likely that the demon is behind all of this, and you're acting like nothing happened.” Sam declared.
“What do you want me to say?” Dean lilted.
“Say something, all right? Hell, say anything! Aren't you angry? Don't you want revenge? But all you do is sit out here all day and all night long buried underneath this damn car. “ Sam shouted.
“Revenge, huh?” Dean wondered.
“Yeah.”
“Sounds good. You got any leads on where the demon is? Making heads or tails of any of Dad's research? Because I sure ain't. But you know, if we do finally find it - oh. No, wait, like you said. The Colt's gone. But I'm sure you've figured out another way to kill it. We've got nothing, Sam. Nothing, okay? So you know the only thing I can do? Is I can work on the car.”
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
“You wanna try  to find the colt?” Bobby asked.
“I need to do something. I just can’t just sit here and do nothing anymore.” Sam Expressed.
“Ok.” Bobby said as he walk out the kitchen.
“Ok?” Sam repeated.
“Ok as in ok I’ll help
“You can help? Why didn’t you say sooner?”
“You boys need to grieve....but there is a person who could help.” Bobby stated.
“Really?”
“Ya. There’s a body shop on the other side of town called Carter’s ask for Y/n.”
“Thanks Bobby.” Sam said as he walks out the house to Dean who is still under his car. “Bobby gave us another hunter in town. Someone who knows about finding the colt.”
“Then let’s go.” Dean said as he come up from up under his car. “You think it’s ok if we borrow one of Bobby’s cars.”
“It shouldn’t be a problem.” Sam said as he walks up to a yellow bug.

At Carter’s body shop,Y/n is walking downstairs with her headphones around her neck and greasy overalls and her least favorite shirt on it was a regular day except the sun was shining more so then ever. When she finally made it to the garage she see Jimmy on the phone.
“Do we have an customer?” Y/n asked as she sat down across from him.
“No, it grandma Melanie she was wondering if she could bring us one of her apple turnovers.” Jimmy replied.
“Yes I love love one grandma.” Y/n proclaimed. “Do we got anyone coming in today?”
Jimmy holds the phone with his shoulder then picks up the clipboard and looks through the pages. “No appointments today.”
“Ok you can have the day off but I still want my apple turnover.” Y/n declared.
“Ok thanks Riley.” Jimmy said with a smile.
Riley nods her head then side  her headphones on then walks over to her car to starts changing the oil.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Dean is driving down the street in a beat up Volkswagen bug. Oh how he miss baby. Every time he would stop at a stop sign the car would shut down. Let’s just say it not been the best day ever. He just hope the get some information.
“What do you know about this Riley person?” Dean asked as Sam.
“Not much that there good with maps.” Sam told Dean. “There right there Carter’s.”
Dean pulls into the body shop and before he can turn the car off it’s stops on its own.
“Really!?” Dean exclaimed.
Sam laughs at Dean and his struggle with the car. Dean gets out the car.
“Are you going to fight with a car?” Sam questioned as he gets out the car and starts on walk up to the entrance of the body shop. Dean walks over towards the garage when he sees a certain type of car.
“Sam! Sam! Come over here it’s an ss it’s  blue and shine.” Dean said with a goofy grin on his face.
Dean walks over to the driver side and gets in the car and stars to feel around the car.
“Dean get out you don’t know who’s car that is.” Sam stressed.
“Sam I’ve only been in one ss and it was Bobby’s and you seen how beat up his is....this one has been taken care of- “ Dean started.
“And it’s on a jack.” Sam stated.
“What!?!”
Sam looks around the front of the car. “Someone is under the car Dean!!” Sam yelled.
Just as soon as Y/n  is coming out of under her car the jack brakes and the car drops to the ground.
“What the hell!!?!” Y/n shouted.
Y/n gets up and see Sam standing next to passenger side of her car and Dean in the Driver’s seat he get out the car
“Sorry.” Dean whispered but Y/n heard him loud and clear.
“You almost killed me and you think a ‘sorry’ is good enough.” Y/n barked.
Dean- to be fair I didn’t know anyone was under there
Y/n clenched her jaw. “Oh you son of a bitch.”
Y/n is about to give Dean a piece of her mind when Sam steps in front of her. “I’m sorry my brother loves car and he saw this one and couldn’t control himself. I’m Sam Winchester and this is my brother Dean.”
“We’re here looking for someone you might know.” Dean commented.”
“I’m not talking to you I’m taking to him.” Y/n snapped giving Dean a sideways glare.
“Do you know where Y/n is?” Sam asked trying to Break the tension.
“Well if it wasn’t for her good instincts she would have been flatted I’m Y/n.”
“We was send by Bobby. We was wondering if you could help us with something?”  Sam asked.”
“Sure.” Y/n answered with a smile at Sam then she turns and looks at Dean and it quickly her face drops to hatred. “Get in my car again I’ll brake both your hands.” Y/n said with a wicked smile at Dean. “What can I help youwith?”
“So you’re not going to acknowledge me I said sorry.” Dean remarked.
“You almost killed me with my car hell no I’m not going to acknowledge you.” Y/n replied angry.”
“I was told you’re one to get help on this.” Sam said as he hands Y/n a drawing
“Your trying to fine colt or build one at least.” Y/n  observed as she looked at the drawing.
“Wait..you can build a colt. I thought it was a special gun?” Dean wondered.
“Sam I have  maps and other stuff in my apartment upstairs about the colt if you need them I can show you them.” Y/n explained.
“um yes thank you.” Sam said grateful.
“Well come on upstairs let’s get out of the cold.” Y/n remarked.
Sam follows Riley upstairs and as Dean try to follow he gets the door closed in his face. “Hey I’m still out here!” Dean emitted.
“Really I didn’t  notice.” Y/n said sarcastically.
“Look I’m sorry for almost killing you with your car.....I honestly didn’t know you were under there.”  Dean said truthfully.
Y/n looks at Dean with a lopsided grimace. “You look sincere....fine you can come in.”
Dean walks inside the shop and they all walk upstairs to Riley’s apartments.
“Make yourself at home Sam I’ll go get everything I have on the colt.” Y/n said as she walks off.
Dean looks around Riley’s apartment and see all the albums classic rock,Rnb,pop, soul, rap and even some Beethoven and Morzt.
“And I thought I liked music.” Dean mumbled under his breath.
“It’s kind of cool.” Sam stated.
“You really like your music uh....is that AC/DC.” Dean shouted to Y/n.
“Oh so he is more then just a petty face.” Y/n shouted from the other room.
“You think I’m petty?” Dean wondered.
“Ya petty....ugly.” Y/n laughed.
“Ha ha ha laugh all you want that joke wasn’t even that funny.” Dean said as he sides the AC/DC cassette tape in his pocket.
“Your just saying that because your the but end of the joke.” Sam grinned.
Riley laughs and walks back over to Sam and place a suitcase on the table in front of him.“I was doing research on the colt and found this in my granddaddy’s storage. I guess he was looking for it or he was going to build one.”
“You can really build a colt?” Dean asked again hoping to get a answer this time.
“Ya you just need the right equipment but the  bullets got to be made out of a Phoenix or it’ll be just a regular gun.” Y/n told Dean.
“Phoenix? Like the bird.” Dean asked.
“No the monster...there’s like only three left in America. I can get you more information on it if you like and if I run into any dead end I know a guy.” Y/n explained.
“Yes that would be great thank you...um how will we contact you?” Sam wondered.
Y/n writes down her number on a scrap piece of paper then hands it to Sam. If you can’t reach me I’ll just go though Bobby that’s who sent you over here right.” Y/n specified.
“Ya.”
“Great I see Bobby every other day so I might catch ya and if I don’t I’ll just leave with him.” Y/n told Sam and Dean.

I 100% agree about wanting more fanfic lists! I honestly think it's the best way to get a variety. Everybody has personal preferences, if someone, who mostly reads long, fluffy au Brio fic, is making recs, they're not likely to mention short, angsty, canon Brio (which is understandable and fair!) so ideally someone else, who does like those, would also do recs. I'm pretty sure I've read or at least tried the vast majority of Brio fics, but the recs often make me re-read the fic and author.
YAAASSSS!!! I mean like, okay, I v much get why people have issues with rec lists, and I def do not by any stretch endorse the idea that recs/rec lists should be considered anything other than one person sharing a think they liked, but to me a lot of the issues (the same fics/authors getting recced, feeling like awesome fics/authors are going unrecognized) can be solved by more reccing, not less. everyone’s got different taste and different stuff they look/read for and I am extremely pro sharing that.
Idk, I think about it like this: in a previous internet life I was a YA book blogger and I lived and died by recs from other bloggers whose taste and preferences I knew. I mean, you know, I’d check out a book bc the premise sounded interesting but literally the first thing I would do was go to Goodreads and look for a handful of people who tended to like the same books I did and see what they were saying about it bc that was the best way to get a good idea of if I wanted to give it a shot. Or, on the flip side, there were some people whose reviews I followed bc I knew we v much did not read for the same things so if they hated a book for X, Y and Z reasons, I was probs going to like it (one thing about book blogging is if you want to keep current, you do not have a lot of time to mess around, snap judgements are key but that’s a whole other thing and idk if it’s even relevant anymore bc that landscape has changed so much).
ANYWAY, the point is, I got in the habit and now I do the same thing with fic bc, tbh, I don’t have a ton of time to read, esp not when I’m actively writing which, with the exception of the last week or two, I’ve been doing p non-stop since I got here. All of which to say is, I am desperately in favor of fic recs for purely selfish reasons, I need them! Give them to me!!! Please!!!!!
That said, I uh, am v bad at returning the favor and I recognize that (I think I’ve made what? two rec lists for this fandom?) so I will try to do better to live by my own, idek what this is, moving on and here are 10 recs not really thematically linked by anything other than I’ve read them and loved them and don’t think I’ve put any of them on one of my rec lists yet (and if I have, my blog is a trainwreck I cannot be expected to remember what’s on it LET ME LIVE):
The Goodest Boy by EnsignDisaster
There’s a key turning in the lock and Buddy rushes over to greet his Master excited for her to meet his new friends. The door opens and he dances around Master’s feet rejoicing on the fact that she’s made it home. It's been literally forever.
“Hey Buddy what’s wrong? Need to go potty? Need to pee-pee?”
“Nah he’s good we took him out.”
Master does something very unMasterlike, she drops all the food she’d brought in on the ground and screams. It’s a non traditional avant garde type of hello…Buddy loves it. Mostly because while Master taps furiously on her small light box and sits tense in the corner opposite his new friend Buddy can lick up the egg smashed on the hardwood floor.
Buddy! The! Dog! POV! no further explanation necessary. Technically WIP, but it covers the whole pilot in a way that could be read as standalone (THOUGH THAT WOULD V MUCH GIVE ME A SAD though, when did the show forget the Bolands had a dog? so maybe that’s a tragic casualty of canon, idk)
May The Moon’s Silvery Beams by @pynkhues
Emma hums in agreement, and Rio turns her around to sit her on the counter, grabbing one of the older looking boxes of muesli while she kicks her legs out, heels bumping back against the counter, watching him. He gropes around the inside of the box, finally just opting to pull the plastic cereal bag out and peering inside. He can’t quite keep the grin off his face when he sees the wad of cash lining the bottom. This woman kills him, she really does.
Then there’s a little face peering up beside him, trying to peek into the box.
“What is it?” she asks, and he tilts the box sideways so she can see inside.
The upside to not getting here until s3 is that old fic is new to me! Huzzah!! Idk how many of y’all have already read this on but if you haven’t I highkey recommend. Extremely cute take on what if Emma woke up when Rio and came by to collect his/Beth’s/whoever's money during the shutdown. Cannot believe I’m reccing kidfic. Witchcraft!!!!!!
Maybe You’re My Fantasy by ohmisterjapan
He fucking loves the involuntary. It speaks to how he likes to unlock chaos and walk away. He's been called a control freak before and it felt like such a misunderstanding of him - he's all about self control but he doesn't want to control others. It's more that he enjoys revealing to them how little they can control themselves. It's more that he likes to stand still in the eye of someone else's storm and pick coldly through the wreckage.
Another oldie but a goodie. This fic is more like an extended character study (first chapter Rio POV, second chapter Beth) and I LIVE FOR THIS KIND OF SHIT. I really really really love the take on both characters, it really digs in and pulls out some nuances that made me sit and think about my own read of them and I love it.
A Shock Of Blue by mintletters16
“You don’t look very well. Would you… like me to get you a glass of water or something?”
Her voice is low but smooth, laced with a softness that cuts straight though to his core. Strawberry blonde locks fall gently just above the pair of magnets freezing him in place.
He can still feel the chaos tearing through his veins - emanating from the gold plated gun stuffed in his waistband - and suddenly he can’t be here anymore. Can’t meet this wide-eyed gaze that’s been locked on his for the past God-knows-how-long anymore.
Can’t see blue alive and concerned when he just left it cold and void somewhere in oblivion.
She’s looking at him like he’s on the brink of madness. He thinks maybe he is.
Apparently, it’s backlist rec day over here and I’m not sorry. This one is another technical WIP but the chapter works as a standalone (BUT if the author decided to return to it I WOULD NOT BE MAD). It’s a what if Beth and Rio met pre-canon and it works so!!! well!!!! The tension and fascination and build are all *chef’s kiss* plus the writing is gorgeous and lyrical and ugh, I love it.
for a moment we were strangers by openhearts
“We got stuff,” Rio motions with a nod to the backpack Beth hadn’t noticed when they arrived hanging on the back of one of the chairs at the island.
She swallows and turns back to the dishes, realizing Rio apparently means to sleep there , assuming the place isn’t bugged.  Or for some kind of cover story if it is.  She turns and fixes Rio with a narrow-eyed stare, studying his face, the corner of his jaw especially prominent from the angle she’s looking up at him.  He’s methodical about drying each dish and setting it back on the rack, maddeningly ignoring her hard stare, so when he goes to take the next plate from her hands she grips it tightly and gets his attention.
“Hey.”
“What you on about now?” he asks, irritated.
It gets her gut uneasy, how he’s just . . . there, settling in, in ways he never had before, no matter how nonchalantly he would let himself in through her locked doors.
“This is,” Beth tries, failing, to find words for it, “. . . it’s weird .”
This one takes place post 204 and Rio and Marcus end up spending a long weekend staying with Beth and Emma for reasons (that work, for the record, I’m just not trying to summarize rn) and it’s domestic and cute but honestly my fav part of it is how weirded out Beth is by how easily they slip into sync. The story does an excellent job balancing where they are in canon (uneasy post-sex truce) with a snapshot of what they could be if they got over themselves (HA! as if) and Beth is DEEPLY FREAKED which makes her slow slide into realizing she could maybe sort of kind of oh shit like it/him??? that much more satisfying.
Not So Careful by @bensonstablers
When he doesn’t answer, her eyes go to his but he’s too busy watching the letter opener which is still pressed against the back of his hand. Curiously, Beth runs it up his arm, careful not to press too hard, and smiles a little as he shivers. Pulling her leg up onto the bed, she shuffles closer to him before pressing the tip of the sword to his chest and slowly circling his left nipple with it, being sure not to get too close.
“You ain’t gotta be that careful.”
And when she lifts her eyes to meet his, he’s got that look. The one that always makes a lump form in her throat and for her to fall back into bed with him without a single thought of what they have to do that day. Only thing is, this time they’ve got nothing to do for the rest of the weekend and well, staying in bed the entire time had seemed like an appealing idea so she allows herself to give in a little to that look.
It makes me EXTREMELY SAD that knifeplay ranked so low on the kink survey so I’m gonna need y’all to check out this V V V EXCELLENT example of it and come back and tell me you’re sorry and you voted wrong. I am v reasonable what are you talking about.
love (where it wasn’t supposed to be) by @lilliloves
"You know what I can't stand?" Rio asks, stepping closer. It's a rhetorical question but he pauses for a second and watches Dean sniff, watches a bead of sweat trickle down his forehead, watches him shift on both his feet as he contemplates making a run for it.
"A guy who don’t realize how good he's got it." Rio continues, looking Dean up and down in disgust. "A guy that will literally fuck up a good thing just to get his dick wet."
"Yeah, well I can't stand a guy who can have anyone he wants but chooses the married woman he's not entitled to.” Dean shoots back. "And I really can't stand the fact that you're always in the room with us even when you aren't there."
And who brings him into the room Dean hmmmmm????? Jk, jk (or am I). In this one Rio catches Dean out on the town with another woman (bc of course he is) and tries to call him out but whoops! gets called out himself. I really love the like, idk, undercurrent of wistful regret in this fic. I love Dean straight up calling Rio out on his feelings (spoilers but there’s an exchange right after this one that made me straight up holler), and, you know, obvs I am here for Rio making Dean feel like an ass.
Hell Is Other People by makemanybraver
Rio: We're in Hell, Elizabeth! If you don't think you belong here, then repent! Don't fuck everyone in the room in hopes that you get to go out!
Beth: Why do I have to repent?!
Rio: Because you did some fucked up shit in your life, Elizabeth! You keep doing fucked up shit here, too! And you think you don't belong here!
Beth [screaming at the top of her lungs]: Because I don't!
This fic is existentially bonkers and I love it. It’s the kind of experimental format/homage/what have you kind of thing that I L O V E. Based on No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre, Beth, Rio, and Fitzpatrick are stuck together in a room in hell for all eternity. What more do you need, honestly.
Working On Things by odenkirk
Unknown Hold up, Elizabeth. I'm really thinkin about you here.
Beth turned her face into the pillow, effectively suffocating herself for a moment, but thinking it was a good trade off for the way the cool silk of her pillowcase chilled her skin.
She lifted her head to glance at the still sleeping Dean before replying.
Beth I'm thinking about you too. But this can't happen.
She wanted him to know she wanted him, but she also thought that admitting she was already there would save Rio from trying to convince her. She wanted him, but morals had to win just once in a while.
YES this is technically Beth/Dean while also being Beth/Rio BUT it’s also sort of Rio/Dean and I am HERE FOR THE DIVERSITY OF SHIPPING leave me alone who asked you.
Five Times He Knew What She Was Thinking, and One Time He Didn't by JoeyLee
Aight, so tell ‘em I was hittin’ it. Said deliberately blunt, eyes locked on her face the whole time, just to see those blue eyes widen. She looked so shocked that he almost laughed, so he softened it teasingly just to keep her going. Oh, I’m sorry, sweetheart, tell ‘em we were makin’ love.
Then he just watched her, just watched her face, just fucking fascinated. Her lips were parted and her eyes were big as saucers, and…there it was. Before she could look away flustered, he watched the thought go through her mind. Him and her together.
He wondered what she was picturing or where. Them in the back seat, her bed, a motel?  Her on top or him from behind or his face between her legs?
Whatever it was, the blush started immediately, and he watched it bloom out from her cheeks to her hair. Then she was tearing her eyes away to gulp a little.  But it didn’t knock her down for long before she was looking back. And then, wait, was she actually asking him how to go about telling a fed they were fucking?
Okay this is another technical WIP but works as a standalone. I am absolutely fucking feral for character POV takes of canon scenes and this is a supremely excellent take on Rio POV of some notable scenes from the pilot through 204. Imo it brilliantly captures Rio’s voice and I love it a lot.
HEADS UP I am absolute shite at tracking ao3 to tumblr unless people have specifically told me someone’s ao3/tumblr name SO if you recognize any of the non-tumblr authors on please lmk so I can tag them and YES I recognize that I am asking y’all to do things for me throughout this entire post and I’M SORRY OKAY I’M A WHOLE ASS MESS LOVE YOU BYE

"What do you want?"
Miles' pen halted and he contemplated brushing the question off for a moment. "What do you mean, Wright?" he instead settled on an equally curt question. It only seemed fair.
"I mean, like..." Wright only sat still, his mouth open, as he tried to think an explanation for it. "Your goal. What do you really want?"
The emphasis on the want was unnecessary, but Miles acknowledged him with a wry scoff. "...justice, what else?" It seemed he had answered a bit too slowly, as Wright was on him--metaphorically, of course--in an instant.
"Just justice? That's a bit of a meek want, especially since it's something you only recently were driven towards." The attorney's huff at the end was a bitter reminder of his still-present ill feelings towards Edgeworth's sudden 'death' several years prior. "You don't have anything else that's, say," the man's volume suddenly dropped, "more personal?"
The arrow hit its mark, but the prosecutor would not back down yet. "Seeking justice is as much a personal concern as a professional concern, mind you," Miles simply retorted, straightening his files. "I have no such of the personal desires you inquire me for, Phoenix Wright."
"Really?"
"Certainly."
Wright stared through him with pursed lips, his urge to press forward obvious and obnoxious; as always. "No...perhaps, romantic wants?"
"Had I not told you I have no interesting in being wed?" Edgeworth's own lying annoyance rang through his ears and he cleared his throat in an attempt to silence it. "I care not for romantic relationships; I keep everything purely professional."
"So, we're purely professional best friends?" The defense attorney had started to get dangerously close to the prosecutor. "I think that's a little contradictory, Edgeworth."
His tone alerted said man to keep an even voice, "I think not? We've known each other for more than twenty years, I'm sure you, of all people, understand that." Phoenix then flatly murmured something including the word 'liar' and 'locks' and Edgeworth found his own breathing had suddenly silenced. "Pardon?"
"Nothing." The response was choked out, but a response nonetheless. "But you're sure?"
"Incredibly sure, so, stop asking. I'm trying to work," the prosecutor continued to emphasize his point with a pen click. "And shouldn't you as well?" It was more of a plead to leave his office than a suggestion.
The former hummed questioningly before processing his demand. "Ooh... nah," Wright grinned, "Apollo and Athena have everything under control," he paused, "probably."
"Prob-" Miles sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You're too carefree. You should be more wary about your job, Wright. I'd rather you not lose it again."
"Hey, you can't joke about that!"
"I assure you, I'm not joking."
"You're cruel!" Despite his words, Phoenix laughed. Miles couldn't help as he smiled a bit, though he quickly hid it with clearing his throat. "You don't needa worry about it. You...You helped me and I'm...so, so thankful."
"I was merely helping..." the taller man blinked, thinking through his words carefully, "...a friend." The hesitation in his reply visibly displeased Wright, but otherwise the attorney said nothing else.
After a few moments, the office went silent, besides the occasional paper rustle as Edgeworth organized files. He was quite grateful for it. He would finally be able to finish these final documents...
"You look quite cute in glasses, did you know that?"
"...P-Pardon?" Miles tried to wrap his head around what he said.
Phoenix sat there with a smile on his face, staring right at him. "Glasses. You look cute in them."
"...c-cute..?"
"Attractive? ...Hm..." the defense attorney tapped his chin in thought. "One of those. I like them." He gently reached out, slipping his index under Edgeworth's chin. "And your eyes..." he didn't finish his sentence, but what he wanted to say was in the air.
"Wh-What kind of n-nonsense..." Miles trailed off into a mumble, but he didn't pull away. He only averted his eyes for a moment.
"It's not nonsense at all, Miles."
"N-Ngh...You..."
"Gimme a kiss?" Wright tilted his head, leaning over the prosecutor's desk. "Please?" Desire gleamed in his eyes.
"W-Wright..." Miles could barely breathe, and he liked it. Wright's finger against his skin was hot, and he liked it. In a moment of feverish temptation, he cupped the former's cheek and brought him into a kiss. Warmth flooded his face as he felt lips move against his and, god, it was intoxicating. And it almost stung.
After a moment, they separated, if separated meant barely centimeters apart still.. Miles was surprisingly disheveled and Phoenix looked surprisingly happy. "Holy shit...I've been wanting to do that for years," he murmured.
Despite his own joy, something still hurt. Attraction. Was it romantic? Did he only want his body?
"...please." His tone was so pathetic it hurt, but Edgeworth could deal. "Please, tell me it isn't just physical."
"What isn't just physical..?"
"Please don't just be physically attracted to me," Edgeworth practically begged. "I-I can't handle that kind of--"
"No?" Phoenix seemed to realise he sounded more questioning. "No," he repeated firmly. "God, no. Miles, I love you for you. I have for...what, since we were kids? Your courage, your kindness, your passion, your honesty; you're amazing in every single way. I'm lucky enough that you're just as handsome in and out."
Miles knew he meant it. And, god, he felt more for the man in front of him than he could verbalize. Relief relaxed his nerves and he pecked Phoenix on the lips again. "I...love you."
The other man chuckled, a smirk on his face. "I know. You're a bad liar." Though his smirk wasn't mean. Not mean like von Karma's when Miles messed up, or like Gant's when he had presented forged evidence. It was a nice smirk, because it was Phoenix.
"Maybe I am, but what does that make a certain bluffing defense attorney?" He received an indignified scoff in retort. "You're just as bad as me, darling," the nickname rolled off his tongue easily. It seemed to fluster Wright as well, as he stuttered in response. Miles decided he'd keep it.
He must've been smirking a lot since Phoenix rolled his eyes exasperatedly. "I never knew you were such a sap," he mumbled into his palm as he sat back down, "It reminds me of Larry and that's scary."
"I'm nothing like Larry," Miles retorted, "Unlike him, I have an IQ above than room temperature." The former laughed and Miles couldn't help but relish in the fact that he made him laugh.
"Cut the guy some slack, he's just...uh..."
"He's the complete opposite embodiment of someone with a good head on their shoulders."
"...kinda. But he's still our friend."
Edgeworth ignored the faint spark of displeasure in his chest, pressing the edge of his pen into his finger. "Indeed."
*
After a few moments of silence, Phoenix allowed himself to stare, his point of interest being, obviously, Miles. He figured it wasn't inappropriate, considering what had just been passed between the two of them. Over two decades of holding out his feelings, and, finally... A small grin played out on his face. It didn't go unnoticed by the perceptive man across from him.
"What're you smiling about?" Edgeworth inquired, shuffling around files, though he'd guessed that the prosecutor had long since given up his full attention to the paperwork.
"I'm just happy, that's all," Wright hummed. When the former perked an eyebrow, the latter rolled his eyes, "I just had my first kiss, let me sap over it."
And, apparently, that was enough to surprise Miles. "First kiss?" he echoed. A thoughtful look flashed across his face for a second.
It'd been a retort in the spur of the moment, so Nick hadn't really thought about it. Heat slightly rose to his cheeks. "Yeah. First. You better be honored."
The magenta-clad man smirked in response. "Well then. That certainly does please me." He gazed over him for a moment, a certain gleam in his eyes that sent a shiver down Phoenix's spine. Something in his voice stood out, too. "Glad to know I was your first, darling."
Possessiveness, that's what it was.
If he was being honest, Phoenix didn't mind. In fact, it was kind of arousing.
Blushing at his own dirty thoughts, he mustered a reflection of his partner's smug expression. "Want another one for good measure?" he offered slyly. And it would've been a successful cover up of embarassment had he not went to prop his head up on his elbow, missing the edge of the desk, and promptly slamming his nose into the wood. "...ow."
Miles chuckled. "Hm. Let's move somewhere more...comfortable for that, shall we?" He gestured for Wright to get up as he did the same. Sliding from behind his desk, he took the defense attorney's hand and guided him to the sofa that sat perpendicular.
Wright found himself flushing red at the implications behind his words.
As he went to take a place besides where Edgeworth had sat, he was stopped by a hand on his waist, which did not help the blood flowing to his face. "Uh- Er- E-Edgeworth?" There was definitely a minor voice crack in there.
"Come now, Wright, you wanted another kiss, did you not?" Edgeworth kept his gaze locked on him and he slowly pulled Wright onto his lap. "I'd say it's easier this way. Any objections?"
Phoenix would've been damned had he turned down the golden opportunity. "The defense concurs," he managed, swallowing thickly.
"Let us continue the proceedings, then." The prosecutor's hand slowly lowered to the former's thigh, giving it a firm squeeze.
Phoenix let out an embarassing noise. "M-Miles!" he tried to scold, but, god, did he melt into his hand. It was just the perfect distance away from somewhere else incredibly vital that it gave him both a shock of pleasure and the want for more.
"Yes?" Miles gazed at him innocently, but his hand slowly snaking further towards Phoenix's crotch betrayed his look. "Something the matter, darling?"
Wright opened his mouth to speak, but once he felt himself being gently palmed he couldn't form sentences. He only hummed lowly, relishing the partial friction. "You...nnh..."
All the while, the chief prosecutor kept his unknowing façade. "I cannot hear you if you mumble, Wright," he smiled, as if he wasn't the one reducing the other attorney to a blushing, muttering mess with his own hand.
"You-" Phoenix gasped as he just barely resisted from thrusting his hips forward in desperation for more. "-are a bad liar." Miles' smirk deepened.
"And yet you weren't able to find out my truth." His hand stopped. Fuck.
Lightly panting, the man stared at him with lidded eyes. Nine psyche-locks had appeared earlier when Phoenix inquired him about it. It was less than surprising. "Well, let me ask you again," he paused, gathering his breath. "What do you want?"
Edgeworth was much more prepared for the question now, finally looking him in the eye while he answered. "You. I want you to be mine and no one else's, in heart, soul, and body." He cupped his face, rubbing his thumb against the outline of his cheek.
The sentiment touched his heart, and he smiled lop-sidedly, still a little pleasure drunk. "Well." Phoenix leaned into his touch. "I'm all yours, Mi."
"Would you like that kiss, now?"
"Yes. Please."
Without waiting, the defense attorney smashed his lips into the prosecutor's, a shiver running through his nerves as the latter reciprocated with just as much hunger. Everything felt so good and right and nice, and he was getting too warm-
Phoenix pulled away after a heartbeat to mutter 'jacket' as comprehensibly as he could. Thankfully, Miles got the memo and carefully slid the blue jacket off. The former relished the cooler air that seeped into his dress shirt, but he still had too many layers for comfort. "Are-Are we safe in here? N-No one's gonna...?"
"The door's locked," Edgeworth responded without missing a beat. He'd started to trail kisses down Phoenix's jawline. "I'm rarely disturbed." His lips met the attorney's throat and oh, god, Phoenix loved it. "We'll be fine."
Wright shakily hummed in response, all his senses being narrowed down to where Edgeworth touched. All his competence had been reduced to nothing as he desperately tried to balance. "Mi- Hah~"
"Say my name more, my darling."
Phoenix obliged happily, breathily repeating 'Miles.' It seemed to drive the other man past his self-control. The attorney's waistcoat was all but dragged off, his under shirt following. The former now attacked his skin with bites and the latter couldn't keep his wits about him. "Mi- Oh, fuck-"
"Language, Phoenix," the more dominant man chastised, his breath brushing against Wright's ear, his fingers lightly circling the rings around his nipples. A moan escaped from the latter, the first to have been unstifled.
"G-God- Miles~" Nick dragged out. He'd long last lost his ability to sit straight, just barely propping himself up. "Please-"
The prosecutor caught his gaze. "Please, what?"
"Ravage me."
*
Well.
It was an unexpected reaction, to say the least, though not unwelcome.
Miles made haste to uncover more of Phoenix's body--deftly undoing his belt and working down those blue jeans. It proved quite difficult when he realised the man was in such a position that prevented them from slipping past his hips. Hm. He hadn't really wanted to change their position either.
A brief, enticing thought popped into Edgeworth's head, and he thought on it for a moment.
"Phoenix, can you stand?" To that, Phoenix nodded breathlessly. "Good. Stand."
Watching his darling comply eagerly filled him with a carnal instinct. "Jeans. Off, now."
Wright was left in his boxers, allowing Edgeworth a near full view of his body. Unsurprisingly, the man was quite toned, though you'd never be able to tell under the suit. His eyes trailed down to his hips.
Seeing how hard the defense attorney was made him chuckle, though he wasn't much better himself.
Miles figured he'd admired him long enough. There would be a more "personal examination" soon, after all. He held out his finger, beckoning Phoenix back onto his lap. "Are you sure you want me to 'ravage you'?" he murmured, exhaling slowly at the friction between Phoenix's length and his own. "I may not be able to hold back."
"It's been decades of miscommunication, I sure as hell hope you don't hold back," Wright shot him a stern look, which would've been somewhat intimidating, had he not been all but naked.
"Hm, point taken," the chief prosecutor shrugged slightly, now tracing the waistband of the former's briefs to his back, taking in the slight arches of his spine. Slipping in his hand, it didn't take much for him to pass over Phoenix's ass. Miles relished the gasp and hum that came from Phoenix as he lightly massaged and groped him.
He suddenly paused, realising something. A problem. Miles sighed quietly; Not without the attentive defense attorney noticing, though. "Wh-What is it?"
"Lube. We have none. I mean, we can continue, but the strain for you..."
He heard Phoenix swear under his breath and mutter something else, scratching his chin like he always did when thinking. "...do you have any lotion here?"
"Lotion? Well..." A glance around the office confirmed it. "No."
"Hm." Wright didn't give up, though. He was quite single-minded. "Gimme your hand. Don't ask questions, don't call me gross, it's perfectly acceptable." Why he'd ever need his hand at this moment was beyond the prosecutor; He offered his other hand nevertheless.
Miles didn't know what he expected, but it sure as hell wasn't Phoenix slipping three of his digits into his mouth.
In retrospect, it should've been revolting, yet he couldn't be more turned on. There was something about how the former's tongue ran along his fingers. Something about how his eyebrows arched up, his eyes fluttered shut. Apparently Phoenix Wright could make anything look attractive as hell.
Even the way Phoenix popped off, a wet noise barely there, with a thin string of saliva still connecting from his lips to the tips of Miles' fingers-
Ah, he'd started overanalyzing things again. Edgeworth shook his head, staring at his fingers. "Saliva as lube. I guess that works."
Wright lit up positively. "Okay, now, please, pleaseplease-" he basically guided his lover's hand back to his ass. More quiet pleads fell from his mouth in anticipation. Miles found it adorable.
Now having some way of entering easier, Miles pushed his first digit into the defense attorney's entrance. The latter moaned quietly.
He made sure to go slow, just incase it still stung, which was inevitable. He paid quiet attention to the man's reactions, though.
If Phoenix was in any pain, he didn't seem to show it.
Feeling reassured, he carefully added another.
Phoenix bit down on his lip, his body arching against Miles' fingers. "Oh, god~ Yes~"
Edgeworth smirked and leaned forward to steal his lips in a kiss, meanwhile pushing in the last finger. Wright's moan in his mouth was immaculate.
The shorter of the two pulled away, panting heavily.  "Is-Isn't it...ready..."
"Maybe." Miles was then suddenly aware of the suffocating layers of his own clothes. He'd been so occupied on Phoenix's pleasure to focus on his own. He sighed, his pants feeling especially tight.
He'd taken out his fingers when he was sure Phoenix was stretched enough- and, god, the sight of the panting, blushing, moaning mess of a man in front of him would be burned into his memory for a while.

Taking Charge
An awful smell hits your nostrils as you make your way through Green Hill Zone; It completely upset what SHOULD be a very pleasant experience of breezing through the forest covered part of your sister’s home.
The smell however is nothing new, so you don’t really notice it. In fact, even if there being a smell at all is kind of upsetting, you are grateful. The pollution isn’t as heavy on these parts of South Island, making it so that the sky is actually blue. All things considered it’s one of the better places to be, so long as you stayed away from the sea and desert areas.
You decided from an early age that you’d be grateful for the small victories, but not complacent enough to accept defeat. Your sister taught you that.
Your twin tails make a pleasant and comforting sound behind you as you propel yourself forward towards her home. You’re hoping to have a good time today, again, you try to value good times when they come.
Your name is Ellie “Tails” Copper (the fox). Even though you are eight years of age it is only today you’ll be visiting your sister’s home for the first time.
You’re sure it’s gonna be a rad time.
You’re checking some info on your Ellie Electric. The Ellie Electric is a recent invention, sort of your attempt at replicating Aunt Sally’s “Nicole”. You’re very proud of it, and basically never leave home without it. You tap the screen a few times checking over the coordinates. You don’t actually need to do this as you have photographic memory, but it eases this annoying feeling of anxiety you have.
Eventually you don’t have to look though. You look up to see...Perhaps the largest plane you have ever seen. This thing is massive!! You doubt it was made for Mobians OR Humans. And you don’t think Seedrians would make something like this either!
Maybe Black Arms? Though the thought of those being here and leaving such a thing behind is concerning to you. You don’t want Mobius to end up like Earth.
Oh! You’ve been spacing out while thinking about all this, trying to work it out in your head, a way too common ocurrance. You really need to stop getting lost in your own thoughts, that’s how he gets you.
You take one last look at your surroundings before you knock the door. No badniks around, but you can still see the ominous tower of Prison Hill at the distance.
You knock on the plane’s door, once. You don’t have time to think about knocking a second time when it opens, just like that.
Standing in front of you, just slightly taller than you is your big sister, Roll The Hedgehog.
She looks great as always. All bright and blue, shooting you a sharp toothed friendly smile. Her quills styled in a mohawk, but kept big and long enough that she can still curl into a ball. She wears green shades on her forehead, a leather jacket with sleeves torn off, and a red running jumpsuit with a stylized symbol of two blue stars. The Freedom Fighter’s Symbol. You wear one too on a pin on your bomber jacket.
“oh slam!! ellie copper coming through!” She says in a fun tone of voice while making way for you to enter her home. You laugh, she always makes this joke but it always gets you anyway. A sister joke. It helps that you love hearing your new name.
“nice one! keep ‘em rolling sis!” You joke back, and she laughs way too loud so you know it gets her. You slap some double fives as you make your way in to keep it cool. She slaps HARD though but you pretend it’s no biggie.
“welcome to the rolling thunder lil’ gal!” The Rolling Thunder being, of course, what she calls her crib.
Honestly you have mixed feelings about the place. The walls are covered in honestly very cool grafitti depicting all manner of radical words such as “Juice” and “Jam”. Stylized pictures of stars, guitars and other cool stuff. But also a graffiti mural of the old Green Hill Zone on one wall.
The place is undeniably messy though, and dark. The lights didn’t work and it was kind of dusty in here. There was furniture, but all the couches were torn no doubt by Roll’s quills, and you knew the fridge and microwave didn’t work. It occurs to you that if Roll wants to shower she likely has to turn to the dirty contaminated Beach water.
It was the reality many Mobians lived, but Roll rarely- if ever complained, not these days anyway.
You notice it actually smells pretty nice in here however, so you can’t complain.
You are snapped from your in depth thoughtstream by Roll snapping her fingers in front of you. To anyone else that might seem rude but you actually really appreciate it.
“oh!! it’s pretty sweet in here- smells pretty nice too!!”
Roll’s grin turns into a soft smile. She closes the door behind her. “yeah it’s from my hangspace- come here i’ll show you! it’s honestly the best part of this place”
She leads you to another room, and a specific seat. Must have been from a lower class section of the plane. She kicks a seat and it opens up to reveal a slide. She waves you over, curling into a ball and letting herself fall. You just decide to slide down instead.
You feel like you should be having more fun with this slide, but honestly? You feel like maybe you outgrew stuff like this. You’re more focused on why there’s an underground base under this crash site at all.
You thankfully don’t have enough time to get lost in your thoughts when you are surprised by all the green you see.
No, not just green. Yellow and Blue and Red and all sorts of colourful plantlife. Grass and flowers everywhere, far underground. The air is free of pollution and honestly it’s a bit overwhelming, in a good way. There’s small lamps everywhere, no doubt charged with battery power that are giving certain plants light. How much would those cost? You know Roll isn’t doing the best money wise.
You put the money concerns aside for now. Aunt Sal drags her enough about that as it is.
“It’s like a little greenhouse!!” You say with some pretty genuine excitement in your voice. You do this just in time to notice the guitar in the corner of the room, which Roll reaches for and starts fiddling with, testing the strings. The guitar looks incredibly worn out.
“it is!!! this is where i like to nap, and jam- these lil’ guys love all kinds of rockin’ tunes, they like to party it up like it’s the new millenium!! i just jump in and start playin’ and these lil’ dudes sway and dance all day. it’s pretty chill”
She then points to the tallest flower in the garden. A blue spiky one.
“I call this one Roll The 2nd. I love her!!” She then points the the SECOND tallest flower, an orange one. “This one is Tails Squared- because you’re a square!”
She jokes while ruffling your hair, you grumble a bit. You don’t actually mind at all though.
“They’re very cool!!! Not many places with clean air in this planet....Hey- Roll?”
“What’s up sis-not-cis?”
“I was wondering if-” You laugh, you just got that. “HANG ON WHAT- SISNOT-” That freaking GOT you. You’re on the grass, laughing. Roll looks pretty smug from up there.
“you good there ellie?” She says, lightly pressing the top of her shoe against your arm in a mock kick. “did you just die from my mondo groucho humour?”
You laugh harder. Eventually you stop and you get up. She looks like she’s queen of the world from how smug she is just for making someone laugh.
“Okay so- so- hang on” You need time to catch your breath “I was wondering if maybe this thing could fly again?”
She shakes her head, once. “Nah! That’d probs give me away to the local Egg Boss. Aint want one of those shellmunchers on my tail, y’know?”
“Oh..”
“Although...” She puts a hand to her chin. “we can’t fly it right now- but getting it flight ready just in case might be a good idea! I’ll have to run it by sal, she’s always ready to fund anything if it gives us a hypothetical advantage, what with the trap cards and mind games and such”
You’re only half listening at that later half because you’re already fiddling with some exposed cables from the wall. Sometimes you just take charge without thinking first, it’s probably a bad ha-
Oh! The lights just turned on!
“OH SLAM!! WHAT?” Roll looks absolutely ecstatic “SIS YOU’RE FREAKING AMAZING-”
Roll cheers and goes on about how she has a fridge and a microwave now. And how much fun you’re gonna have fixing this old place together. Overall you think you did good.
Yeah, this was a fun day. You hope you get days like these more often.

Note
Hey, if you're not busy, could we see how the boys would handle a s/o who's prone to anxiety/panic attacks?
ho ho this hits close to home!
Warning: Anxiety
Headcanons: The Bros with an S/O with Anxiety
Noctis:
Noctis, while he understands the feeling, he’s also the one who’s the least sure about how to handle panic attacks and anxiety
As the prince, he’s had his fair share of anxiety at times, but he still has no fucking idea how to go about helping it
He’s also dense as a fucking rock sometimes, so it took him a little while to recognize your pattern of anxiety and how you behave when it happens
Even then, it took an explicit explanation from you for him to actually realize what was happening
Noctis isn’t quite sure what to do, but he definitely does his best
He has an overall calm feeling about him, maybe it’s from how chill he is, or maybe it’s just everything rolling off his back, but he’s nice in that he doesn’t ever make you feel anymore stressed or anxious
And when you are anxious, once he learns to recognize your signs of anxiety, he becomes really good at trying to help you without bringing too much attention from anyone else
His go-to thing is to try and get you away from others or whatever it is that’s overwhelming you, and he tries to give you time and quietness
He’s also the one who likes to give you long, comforting hugs when it gets bad and who tries to tell you that everything is okay, and that everything will be okay
He ends up going to Ignis for coping mechanisms, and of course, Ignis raises an eyebrow and begins with, “... If there’s anything… bothering you, Noctis, we can always find you a therapist--”
And Noctis has to shake his head and be like, “Nah bro it aint me--”
That topic does spark an idea, and Noctis realizes that he’s the crown prince who can afford anything he wants
And he knows he’s honestly not too great with trying to help you himself, but he has the means to help you get proper help
So Noctis gets you to therapy! Somehow he convinces you, and he wasn’t pushy or pressuring about it either
He’s not super great at helping you find coping mechanisms or anything, but he’s gentle and understanding, and his, for lack of a better word, “chill” demeanor makes it easier to cope at times
Sometimes, it is nice to have someone you trust sitting next to you or understanding that you need a moment, and Noctis and his overall calm demeanor at times can be soothing and feels supportive and comforting
He’ll hold your hand or hold you, his arms tugging you close and the sensation of his chin on your head or his thumbs rubbing circles against your skin can help ground you
Prompto:
Prom gets it. Like, he fucking Gets It
It didn’t take him long to recognize signs of anxiety/panic attacks when he started spending more time with you, but he wasn’t sure of how to approach the topic without being awkward or causing even more anxiety
He knows that it’s not something easy to talk to people about all the time, so it definitely takes a while before he brings it up
When you two finally talk about it, Prompto is probably out of all the bros, the most understanding of it, simply because of the anxiety that he’s dealt with in his own life
He already new a bunch of coping mechanisms--breathing exercises, distraction exercises, various ways to help prevent panic attacks or anxiety from building up too much
He’s also the one who knows what shit to not say; he’s not about to say, “everything’s okay, you’re fine, it’s not too bad--” because he fucking knows that you know that, and knowing that and saying that doesn’t make anything better (@ noctis)
He’s not always the best at realizing when you might have worse anxiety than normal, so he always, always tries to check on you (as subtle as he can, which admittedly isn’t much, but he did make up code words for you two to use!)
Prompto will pull you away from people and sit with you to try and breathe with you
He reminds you to breathe, he holds your hands and listens when you try to talk through your feelings, he reminds you that your feelings are valid and that he’s there for you
He’s also pretty good at distracting you from your anxiety if it gets too much
Grounding techniques??? He knows ‘em all!!!
Sometimes he either picks up on your anxiety and it can rub off on him, and admittedly, when you’re both having massive anxiety, it’s a bit of a wreck
Eventually though, he learns that at times like that, it’s just best for you two to go home and have some quiet time--maybe with each other, maybe not--to try and ground yourselves or calm down
Other times, Prom might not realize at first that you’re having anxiety or a panic attack, especially if he’s super excited or caught up in something
However, he always makes it up to you and when he does realize that your anxiety is skyrocketing or building up at all, he is very quick to try and jump into action to help you cope or get you somewhere less stressful
He even tries to plan around your anxiety, as in, if you guys really want to go to the mall but you have social anxiety or crowded areas make your anxiety worse, he tries to plan to go on days and at times when it’s less busy
He’s not always logical about it, and it doesn’t always work, but he tries, and that attempt is more than so many other people will do, so it really means a lot
He also has the urge to try and help you feel better, but he’s bad at realizing that there are a lot of times when he can’t help, just because there’s not always a root cause (it honestly kills him during those times, he feels so awful knowing there’s nothing he can do)
Ignis:
Ignis was quick to realize, too
He didn’t realize it was anxiety at first, but he did know that something was up
And he’s also quick to discuss it with you
He’s gentle when he asks about your anxiety: how long it’s been going on, what your triggers are (if you know them), what coping mechanisms work best for you, etc
He does try to subtly ask how it might’ve developed, but he never pushes for an answer and understands if you don’t want to dwell on it (and apologizes for pushing any boundaries)
Iggy just wants to understand as best he can, in an effort to try and help you out as much as he can
He keeps an eye on you for any signs of anxiety attacks or panic attacks or anything, so that if your anxiety does flare, he can whisk you away someplace else to try and help alleviate any stress and anxiety
He knows that sometimes there’s nothing he can truly do to make your anxiety go away or to help you feel better, and while it does kill him, he tries to accept that, knowing that if he were to aimlessly fret over it constantly that it could make it so much worse
Ignis is a man of research! He does sooo much research to try and find coping mechanisms, possible triggers like caffeine, and all sorts of other stuff
Like I said, he knows that he can’t always help, but if he can, he definitely will
And make no mistake, this man will tear hell apart to get you safe and somewhere safe for you
And if you ask him to back off or give you space? He gives it. No ifs, ands, or buts, unless your safety is at risk
Similar to Prompto, Ignis does what he can to make plans during times/days when things are less busy for you
Except, unlike Prompto, Ignis’ plans usually work out better
Iggy is also the most subtle about helping you, which honestly makes things so much better
You don’t want everyone else to know about your business or your anxiety, so having a S/O that is actually subtle about helping you makes you feel better about it sometimes
Gladio:
Honestly, Gladio is the one who probs needed the most time to try and accept/understand the whole anxiety thing
He’s the kind of guy who’d try to “teach” someone to not be afraid of shit so that’s probably the mindset he has when you first approach him about it
And it was in fact, that mindset that led to a huge fight, an almost-breakup, and actually caused a lot of anxiety and panic attacks
It took both Cor and Ignis trying to explain the deal of what anxiety is and what not to do for Gladio to finally get the deal about it
Gladio feels guilty about he first handled it for years tbh, but you forgave him when you saw how hard he tries to help you when your anxiety flares or when you have panic attacks
Gladio grows to understand that sometimes anxiety makes it so hard to make decisions and being pushed for decisions/to do things makes it worse, so he’ll often man the helm of decision making when things get tough (like you can’t decide where to eat or what to buy or order at a restaurant, so he’ll ask you if you’re in the mood for smth that he knows you like)
He also can make himself the most intimidating person to get others to leave you alone when you guys are out and about, just for enough time to get you somewhere you feel safer or more comfortable at
After a little bit of time, he ends up being surprisingly very observant about your anxiety and can usually start to tell that your anxiety is getting worse before you even notice sometimes
Sometimes when you have anxiety and just want to hide from the world to try and make it go away, or are shaking so bad and can’t make it go away no matter what you do, he’ll just lay down with you and stroke your hair, taking deep breaths to try and help you breathe again
Sometimes seeing your anxiety or panic attacks makes him feel scared too, just because he knows there’s nothing he can do to make it really go away, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t try

Day 13: Flower Crown
A/N: woooo! had a lot of fun with this, especially the bonus at the end ;) this will prob be vv poorly edited since I chugged three glass bottles of konpeito so sugar is running through my veins :/ hope you enjoy :)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧*:・゚✧
"Tikki? Tikki, where are you?"
Yet again, Marinette while out on a girls-day with her friends had misplaced her purse, unfortunately, containing Tikki. Tikki would have called out to her, but with Alya attached to her hip, there wasn't any room to alert for her rescue. So now, Marinette dug around the picnic area's grass in search for her. She should have been more careful; an akuma scare had threatened the girls day out, summoning Chat Noir to come investigate.
Luckily he had left quickly after finding out there was no akuma, but everyone still seemed shaken up.
"Marinette! Are you ok?" Marinette spun around, turning face to face with a certain leather-clad cat.
"Ah! Chat Noir! You're... still around?" Hastily, Marinette pushed Tikki deeper into her purse, secretly reminding herself to apologize later for the rough treatment.
"I just wanted to check on you... and everyone else! Everyone matters, of course, but you're the only one here, so I thought it was better for me to just focus on you,"
"Oh." Marinette stood stiff as Chat Noir picked up a flower crown made of dried lavender, twirling it around as he admired it.
"This is really good, Marinette, it's simple but really well-made," the noirette approached Chat, ushering him to sit down on the picnic blanket beside her.
"Sorry to disappoint, but I didn't make that. Juleka did; she's really talented when it comes to making these. We all think she learnt how to do it just to impress Rose," giggled Marinette. She reached over and held up a clumsily made flower crown of daisies, "This one is mine. I chose daisies because Juleka said they were the easiest, but I could barely get it to stay together."
"I think it looks fine,"
"Maybe, but compared to Juleka's it's pretty pathetic huh?"
Chat exchanged Juleka's flower crown for Marinette's, smiling ever-so-slightly at it. "Nah, I like yours." he placed it back down, careful not to damage it, "Aren't you a designer though? Stitching, weaving, sketching, this seems like something you'd be good at?"
"That's what I thought!" groaned Marinette, "But fabric is solid. It sits there while you tweak it; flowers are small and delicate and break with even a small amount of pressure," she grumbled.
Marinette flushed as Chat let out a bark of laughter, side-eyeing her as he did, "Sounds to me you need to be more careful."
"Ha ha. Were you really here to 'check-up' on me, or just to mock both my flower crow and designing skills?"
Chat frowned, affronted, "Neither. I like your skills in both." to prove it, Chat put Marinette's daisy flower crown on. It settled over his hair, poofing it out.
Chat grinned at the girl beside him, "Now we're both princesses.'"
Marinette tried not to, but couldn't help from smiling at the sight.
Marinette grabbed another of her flower crowns and held it up to Chat, "This one is with apple blossoms. They're my mamans favourite flowers, she used to have them in her garden when she was young and lived in China."
Chat took it in his hands and examined it, lightly touching a petal with his sharp claw, "Did you make this one?"
She shook her head, "I started it, but after a while I felt like I was ruining it, so I asked Alya to finish it for me."
After she finished, Chat quickly dropped it over Marinette's head. The noirette looked up in surprise, her flower crown lay serenely on her head.
"It suits you. Keep it on,"
"I don't want to break it," Marinette reached up to take it off, but Chat grabbed her hands, "Chat?"
"If you're going to take it off, at least take a picture with it first!" Chat pouted.
Meekly, Marinette grabbed her phone and tried to take a selfie. But no matter how she angled it, she couldn't get herself to hit the button, "I can't. It feels so... awkward just taking a picture of myself."
Chat studied her. As Marinette looked away, Chat sidled up beside her, throwing an arm over her shoulder, "Then I'll be in the picture too! Pretend you're an adoring fan, crying over the chance to take a photo with me. Then it won't be so awkward!"
"Adoring fan, huh?"
"Ignore that part."
Marinette laughed, and reached back up to take the picture. Just like before, she hesitated. But then she saw Chat grinning into the camera, flower crown displayed proudly. How could she miss the chance to capture this?
The pair smiled up at the camera, letting go of each other as they heard the click. When Marinette opened it, she couldn't help the weird sensation in her stomach as she saw Chat beaming beside her. Beside her civilian form.
A week ago if you told her she'd be sat wearing flower crowns with Chat Noir as Marinette, she'd have laughed in their face.
It didn't seem so ridiculous now. Especially when she was with him.
"See, look how pretty we are without flower crowns,"
"I hate to admit it, but my flower crown seems to suit you more than me,"
Chat smirked at her, eyes staring intently at the picture, "Guess you'll have to keep me around then."
Marinette shut off her phone, shoving it deep into her purse as she stood up. "I better get going. Alya's looking for me, and I promised I'd be quick. She thinks I'm only picking up my bag after all!" a sudden thought struck Marinette, her face drained of colour, "Everyone else! I really need to get back now. Girls day out, y'know? What am I doing here with you, I should be with them!"
"Meowch."
Her eyes widened, "Not that I don't want to be with you-- no, I love being with you!" The girl flushed, "Love's a strong word! I mean, like! I like hanging out with you! Even though this is our first time actually really talking..."
After stuttering over herself, Marinette decided it would be best to just shut her mouth from talking at all.
Chat pulled himself up, dusting off any dirt stuck to his suit. A shrill 'BEEP' sounded in the air. Marinette instantly glanced down at his ring flashing brightly at the pair, "I guess you've gotta go too,"
The blond sighed. Marinette had other friends, he shouldn't take up all her time like this, "Seems so. Well, I know you'll miss me terribly, but this at's gotta run. See ya, Princess!"
With that, Chat extended his baton, bouncing into the air. He waved and gave a sly wink, before pushing himself forward and over the rooftops of Paris.
"That stupid cat. Running around wearing flower crowns and winking at me, I seriously need to discuss with him his flirtatious tendencies," grumbled Marinette. Tikki flew back up as soon as Chat had disappeared over the horizon,
"Shouldn't you be hurrying back to you're friends?"
Marinette gasped, "Shoot! Oh god, I need to get my priorities right!" the noirette allowed Tikki to reposition herself inside her purse, then ran back to the park's entrance.
✧✬✧
"Where is she?" groaned Alya. She sat down beside Mylene, who had edged herself on the side of the road.
"I'm sure she's on her way!" piped in Rose, "Maybe she just had trouble finding her purse?"
Beside them, Alix loudly snorted. She rolled her eyes, "Yeah right. A bright pink purse on dark grass. Marinette may be clumsy, but she isn't dumb."
The girls all stayed silent. Alix was right; how long did it take to pick up a purse?
Juleka mumbled, "Maybe she bumped into someone?"
"But we were the only ones around when we left," argued Alya.
"Someone could have sill entered through the west entrance,"
She shrugged in response, "I guess so," Suddenly, their attention was diverted when a black figure swung overhead, "Isn't that Chat Noir?"
He past by them, jumping over the streets below.
"Isn't that one of our flower crowns?"
"Of course not."
"Wait, if Chat Noir is around..." the girls shared anxious looks. Unbeknownst to them, Chat wandered the streets daily. Even with the absence of an akuma, Chat loved leaping over Paris, wind blowing through his hair.
Unluckily, this wasn't known by the group. The girls hastily packed up their stuff and rushed back to their hangout spot, "Marinette! Marinette are you ok?"
Alix ran ahead, the fastest one out of the bunch. She sprinted forward, swiveling her head back to stare at the group. Abruptly, Alix was knocked backwards. Her body fell to the ground, elbows scraping against the concrete. "Hey! Watch where you're goi-"
"Marinette!" Rose jumped forward and pulled Marinette into an embrace, "We were so worried!"
"Aw, Rose... Sorry I took so long,"
"Are you ok? We saw Chat Noir so assumed the worst!" joined Alya.
Marinette stilled in Rose's arms, "I-I saw Chat Noir, so I hid! Yes! I hid because of an akuma! That's what everyone would do, right?"
Alya laughed as she flung her arm over Marinette's shoulder, "Oh, Marinette. You seem kinda shaken, let's go get some ice cream!"
The girls cheered, Marinette smiling warmly at them all, "That sounds perfect, let's go!"
Chat watched from above, blushing furiously as he held Marinette's flower crown in his hand. He had meant to go back to return it, but her friends had already found her. Seeing her so at ease, smiling brightly at them all...
His face went an even deeper shade of red.
BONUS Adrien lay in bed, a daisy flower crown held up in the light. "A closet filled with designer, yet you become obsessed with some flower crown," snickered Plagg. Adrien glared at the cat kwami, "It's not just some flower crown; Marinette made it!"
"Aww, Adrien's first girlfriend!"
"She's not my girlfriend."
"Unrequited lover!"
"Plagg!" groaned Adrien. He knew Plagg was just teasing, but him talking about Marinette like this was starting to get on his nerves, "Marinette's just a friend, you know that. Besides," Adrien rolled over. He delicately placed Marinette's flower crown on his bedside table, "Marinette's great, but Ladybug is the only one for me."
Plagg snorted, "Yeah, kid. No to Marinette, yes to Ladybug."
"What? What's so funny?"
"Nothing, nothing. Now give me some cheese or go to bed!"
Adrien sighed at his troublesome kwami, but shut the lights off nonetheless.
"Goodnight Plagg."
"Night, Adrien."
As Adrien drifted to sleep, a few houses away Marinette sent her final messages of the day:

Tumblr media
II: relationship consolidation.. it’s platonic i swear
the fellowship continues (mark + dy/n)
so the month that follows your first meeting
is full of
a mixture of crackheadedness and tortured artist vibes
a lot of it is sending lit memes and other shit to each other at 2am when u have an 8am the next morning and yelling at each other for keeping u up so late but then laughing again at whatever the ridiculous punchline was
“to quote shakespeare’s hamlet, act v, scene ii, line 270: no”
/deep inhale/ /unhinged laughter/
that’s your inside joke for a whole two weeks mark couldn’t get the numbers right the first few times uwu poor confused thing but he got it after a while so good on him
in the second class after the first day, you try your best to find in him the crowd of people lining up to go into the lecture theatre but you can’t and it’s almost time to go in and—
oop you’re getting swept by the current of the masses
you still try to look for him even then
and luckily your attempts pay off !bc you do see him further up the stairs
,, but he’s
,.talking to another person, sitting in a seat on the end of the row
slightly disappointed that you can’t sit together and get to know him better and hopefully become friends but !! still optimistic that you’ll just make new friends
you file into an empty seat near his row a little further down the stairs from where he was sitting
you take out your materials and start to go over your notes from the day before when
someone plops himself down on the seat next to you
you look up and before you can smile in greeting, you recognise
it’s mark!!
he says “heyyy” in that rlly soft voice idk if you’ve seen the vid of him going ʰᶦ but that’s the voice he uses here
and you’re like “oh hi! wait i thought i saw you sitting over there” pointing behind u
and he’s like “oh i just met a friend and i was saving his girlfriend’s seat haha.. she just arrived so they kicked me out and i saw u and !!yeah”
and u nod at him like “nice nice i thought you ditched me” jokingly ofc
“no no i was actually trying to find you but.. you’re too short”
“i’m what”
/whispers/ “i’m sorry omg don’t kill me pls”
/stands up straighter to assert dominance/ “say that again, marcus. say that again”
ajsagdfo cuties
“ok then should we meet somewhere before the lectures”
so you decide on the benches outside the building as Your Spot™
the lecture’s just an introduction to the first text in the syllabus bc . second class
and so there’s quite a bit of note taking,, naturally
mark forgets what the prof says before he can write it down and this particular prof, you learn, is prone to talking fast and then switching the lecture slides before anyone can write anything important down
poor mark is doing a lot of looking up at the slides and then down at his notebook and :(((
so r u but u seem to have better memory than him so u either have the lecture slides up if you’re a typer with your notes or manage to write your notes and still listen to the prof if you’re a writer idk yalls preferences so
meanwhile mark whispers under his breath,, half to himself
“what” don’t we all,, mark.. don’t we all
and he does that a few times so you look over and he’s written barely anything so at that point he’s almost just resorted to listening to the prof and not taking notes at all
then he seems to catch himself and he starts writing down whatever key terms the prof is spewing and you realise
kid’s blanking out lmfao
so you tell him you’ll send your notes over to him after class and he’s like !! R U SURE im so sorry im not used to this sPEED and i can’t put my hand up and ask him to slow down someone else has to do that
and u just nod and tell him it’s all g
so class ends and you wave goodbye (confirming to meet at the benches next week too) to go to your tutorial class that happens to be right after the lecture and so does he,,
and this is your thought process for the next five or so minutes:
there’s only one exit so surely he’s only going outside and not the same way as me
oh look he’s going the same way as me.. i’m sure he’s just going to another building ooh that’s a pretty cool tree
hey we can walk to our next classes together and then split up where we have to go in different directions
is he turning left or right left or right i’m going left left or right left or—wait oh cool
ah there’s a bunch of classes in this building too surely he’s on a different floor. see he’s going up the stairs—wait he’s going up the stairs.. so am i..,,,
nah surely he’s going up another floor
wait if he’s going up another floor.. why isn’t he going on the elevator
does he have a fear of enclosed spaces
does he have childhood trauma in an elevator
maybe he keeps fit by climbing stairs
lol this is my floor, be funny if..
hang on a second
HANG ON A SECOND
“HANG ON A SECOND” that wasn’t one of your thoughts btw that was. out loud
very loud
and he turns around, startled at your voice again
looking up from his phone and eyes getting wider than they were in their initial reaction
“wHAT THE—WAIT HOLD UP HOLD UP HOLD UP—”
he’s giggling at this point bc it’s so funny to him
“HOLD—YOU’RE?? in this tute too??”
“are we??—”
“—in the same class?” yall say that in unison bc that’s the proliferation of a Wholesome Friendship™ right there
u laugh bc wow this is my new best friend
“this is crazyyy”
“yeah what the f..” he highkey cuts himself off bc i mean day 2 guys
but then you
“exactly what the fuck...”
lmfao he knows then that it’s ok to swear with you
n e ways
y’all keep talking until your tutor arrives and lets you in the class
ofc you sit next to each other in the tute as well
you have a great time and class ends quicker than you thought bc you’re having fun and that’s always gewd
so the next few weeks u’re just vibing with each other
walking to class together after ur lectures
walking each other to other classes
studying together in the library in your spare time catching up on content and exploring ideas discussed in tutes for your shakespearean sonnets class
"o romeo, romeo, wherefore were thou and juliet teenage dumbfucks”
he couldn’t stop laughing at that for three days straight
“t..teENAGE /wheeze/ dUMBFUCKS HAHAHAHAHA”
getting pretty close basically
sharing hobbies and music tastes (u find out he plays guitar and it’s the biggest possession he brought into his dorm from his house and listens to frank ocean and john mayer a lot, watches fullmetal alchemist)
sometimes you’ll come to meet him at the benches full on catwalking down the path with your airpods in and resting bitch face on listening to some dope shit while the crowd parts for you and he’s just like O.O
how is she friends with me
he thinks you’re so cool it’s cute
but he’s also alr convinced himself that you’re so out of his league he highkey won’t dare try and make a move
n e ways
he sees ur airpods and he’s like “aren’t you afraid you’re gonna lose them one day”
and you just look at him and go “do i look like a fool, marcus”
he laughs so hard at that
complaining to you abt his roommate in real time over text like
marcus the fool 🤡: “dude he’s whining at me to ‘play with him’ i don’t want to play with him”
marcus the fool 🤡: “now he’s getting jealous of u”
marcus the fool 🤡: “he asks who u think u r”
you: “tell him i would fight him”
marcus the fool 🤡: “he says u won’t win”
you: “bet”
marcus the fool 🤡: “i told him u don’t need to fight for my attention bc uve alr got it”
marcus the fool 🤡: “now he’s fake crying”
marcus the fool 🤡: “he’s telling me to leave the house and leave the kids”
you: “am i a homewrecker now”
marcus the fool 🤡: “he calls u a homewrecker”
you: “tell him i’ll kiss it better”
one day like a month or so into your friendship
you rush to the benches with that look on your face that says you’re about to murder someone which usually disappears when you see him and take out your airpods bc rbf
so he ,, approaches with caution ,,, easy does it,,
yes he’s wondering if it’s your time of month
ngl it åctually was which makes things worse
t e n t a t i v e l y he asks on the way into the lecture theatre
“hey dy/n u ok?? u look.. ok nvm”
bc u lowkey glared at him but u didn’t mean to i swear u just looked at him but u were alr in a bad mood
so ure like “sorry yes i’m fine i didn’t have my coffee today so i may be a bit cranky”
“what happened? u sleep in or smth”
“yeah i slept at 4 last night”
“wHY did u do that”
“idK but i was running late just now and the line at the cafe was so long i stood in line for five minutes and i said nop class is abt to start”
“oh okey”
this keeps bugging him all throughout the lecture
so he turns to u when the lecture is over and he’s like
“u have another lecture next right”
“yes marcus i have another lecture that you’re taking with me”
“come ditch with me i’ll shout u a coffee”
“what really”
“for sure, we can catch up on the lecture in the library tonight”
and you remember that you’d made plans with your roommate my/n to go to the library that night anyway so you agree and let him know
so he’s like “oh rlly? can i bring my roomie along too he probs doesn’t have other plans anyway i hear they’re doing some kind of project so he better not be going anywhere” with a lil frown uwu angery mark
“sure don’t see why not. we’ll all study together”
“nice i’ll let him know”
“cool”
cool
u see where i’m going with this
waggles eyebrows

Sick Time HCs
Hello, guess who was sick for the whole day prior. This mod, haha- (coughs)
Since I had received multiple Headcanon requests for this topic but different characters I decided to just wrap it into one post I hope you all don’t mind. Regardless, please enjoy~
~~~
Sick Day
Kengo
~“Okay…” Kengo breathed as you two stared one another down. You gripped your sword as tight as you could and steadied your breathing as you were anticipating his next move. Kengo moved with impressive speed but you parried his punch with your blade. However it was just a feint as Kengo’s true intention was to strike you from the side. Due to your sluggish movements and hazy vision he completely blind sided you and sent you spiraling on the ground. You coughed and wheezed as you struggled to pick yourself back up. Kengo quickly caught on and rushed over. “Hey, what’s the matter!?” You tried to tell him you were fine but you coughed again, this time from your sickness. “I knew somethin’ was off.” You sniffled a bit and sneezed in response which finally gave you away. “You’re sick ain’tcha?” You grimaced. “Yep. C’mere.” Kengo suddenly picked you up carrying you bridal style. You tried to argue that you could walk on your own just fine. Silently Kengo lifted your shirt which you would have raised an opinion about but he revealed the bruise he left on you given your weakened state. You couldn’t really hide it anymore at that point so you fell silent and couldn’t look him in the eyes with shame. “I’ll take you, got that?”
~Much to your displeasure he carried you all the way back to your room cradled in his arms. It was a little embarrassing but you were relieved none of your other friends saw you. Once you were back in your bed you did your best to feign wellness and attempted to shoo Kengo away. “What’s with you? There’s no way you’re alright!” You tried to argue that you fine once more but a sneeze prevented you from doing so. “See?” You grumbled with embarrassment. You didn’t like the idea on appearing so vulnerable in front of your partner when he relies on you. “What’re you talkin’ about? You’re just sick, that’s all.” Still, it was embarrassing to get sick when it seems Kengo almost never gets sick. “Yeah I’m pretty healthy year round and- wait, no.” Kengo snapped his attention at you. “I won’t think you’re weak. Promise.” You crossed your arms in defeat and sighed. “Now, what do you do when you get sick…” He pondered aloud. “Uh, right.” Kengo tossed your covers over you. “Stay in these, I’ll be right back!” First he insisted on staying, then he leaves!? “It’ll just take a second.” With that you were alone like you initially wanted. You breathed out a sigh while you reflected back on earlier. You could’ve been a little nicer and gave him a bit of a heads up that you weren’t in fighting form today. Then again you can’t let yourself get sick so easily. Everyone depends on you and you can’t rest while everyone else does the heavy lifting. You just wanna do your part…
~Your thoughts were interrupted abruptly by Kengo swinging the door open. He seemed to have extra blankets for you and what looked to be bottled water. “I’m back!” He declared happily. “Shiro told me that when someone gets sick you’re supposed to keep em warm and hydrated! Yep, that’s what he said!” You asked if he told Shiro while you were concerned your cover was blown. “Nah, cuz then he would get all fussy over you. So… you’re my little secret. Well, our little secret but… uh…” Kengo scratched the back of his head while you both breathed a sigh of relief and looked at him with a bit of contempt. “Hey, what’s with the dirty look for? I thought you didn’t want him fussin’. That’s why I didn’t tell him.” You let loose another cough as your throat begins to feel irritated and you instead thanked him for doing all of that. “No prob!” He chuckled. “But, I don’t think these sheets are gonna keep you warm.” Before you could ask what he meant, Kengo slipped out of his sandals and got into your bed with you. You told him that someone might get the wrong idea or he could get sick himself. “Hmm, nope. I locked the door (I think) and I’m pretty good at stuff like this.” While you two were wrapped under the same blankets you could feel how warm your partner really was. You shivered and subconsciously scooted closer to him until your bodies were pressed against one another. You comment on how pleasant his body heat is and how the cold seemingly disappeared. “Thanks, but… you’re really burning up. Try to drink some water and relax, ‘kay?” You did so and the cold drink felt refreshing for a change, but even then you shivered which Kengo laughed at.
Wakan Tanka
~You couldn’t hide anything from Wakan Tanka. Not a thing in the world he couldn’t see past. “Hey, you feeling alright?” You tried to play it off as a little head cold and that it wouldn’t interrupt your planned day out but you couldn’t hold back a serious cough that left your throat feeling scratchy. There was no denying the chills you were starting to develop either as you started to shiver in your jacket. “You don’t look that well.” He commented. “I think something happened like this before to my Gunzo. I believe the instructors said there was an illness going around… it seems you’ve caught it, my summoner.” You were dreading the prospect but couldn’t deny that to be the case as your chills began to escalate and you letting out a comment on how cold it was. Wakan Tanka took hold of your hand and the heat from his hand was relieving to say the least. “Here, come with me.” Wakan practically tugged on your arm as you were dragged off towards the dorms at his school.
~“You can use my room.” He said as he guided you in. Not surprising at all everything was disorganized. You commented on the state of his room and all the garments he leaves about. “Oh, don’t worry! None of them have been worn yet. I was just looking for my lost jersey!” You sighed and commented that he should take better care of his room while you proceeded to shiver and cough more. You sniffled as your cold began to reach peak chills and shivers. Your joints felt incredibly stiff as you continued to stand. “Here, have a seat.” The football player guided you to his bed and undressed you in most of your clothes except for your under shirt and pants. Then he helped you to get into a cozy enough position in bed as your breathing became harder. Everything felt worse because you were still chilly. “Give me one moment. I’ll let the nurse know and to call your school.” He said that as he jogged off, leaving you to curl up under his sheets. They definitely smelled like Wakan after a long day of practice to the point where you began to wonder if he showered enough. He may be more absent minded but he does care a lot for others so maybe that devotion leads him to neglect his own needs…
~Wakan Tanka came back sniffling with his face looking flushed. “Okay my summoner. The nurse said you can rest here while he contacts your school but it may be a while.” You took notice of his complextion and runny nose. “Oh, this?” He questioned as he wiped his face. “This is probably-” He coughed. “Scratch that- definitely the same cold as you and my Gunzo…” He was starting to shiver and you couldn’t bear to see him like that, so you told him to get into the covers with you. “Oh, do you mean it?” He seemed pretty ecstatic most likely because it meant he could be closer with you. He quickly removed his jersey and tossed it to the side (at least you now know how he loses it) as he crawled into the bed with you. His normally warm body felt like an inferno since he was coming down with the same cold. You welcomed the warmth of course because it meant you were no longer freezing. “Wow my summoner… you feel as though you’re on fire…” He stated, huddling closer to you. “I know it’s because you’re ill, but… I like it…” He yawned. “It’s kind of… relaxing…” Yawns were contagious because you too were beginning to feel dreary. “Maybe… we could…” The two of you trailed off to sleep together within moments, now somewhat comfortable despite your shared illness. When Monobe came over to pick you up he decided to let you sleep for a bit longer with your friend since you both looked “at peace”.
Tsathoggua
~You were chatting away on the phone with Tsathoggua now that classes were done for the day. He was going off about how certain classics will never go out of style and you gave him your honest opinion on the topic. While he was interested in your perspective he seemed dead set in his own ideas and you commented that was totally fine and that he should have fun his way. “Right!? It’s like most gamers nowadays wanna shove their opinions down your throat and you just want em to-” During his rant you let loose a cough that wasn’t very severe. “Hm?” You tried to explain it as a tickle in your throat but a much nastier one came through. “You’re getting sick.” You tried to assure him it wasn’t serious as the sick pains began to set in. “One sec.” With that he disconnected, leaving you to wonder what he meant by that.
~That was until he warped himself right into your room. You let out a hoarse shriek as Tsathoggua’s huge frame startled you. “What!? That’s like, not a way to greet a guest yeah!?” You apologized and explained you weren’t expecting him to just poof on over. “Well what else was I gonna do? Just let you sit all alone? C’mere.” He replied while holding a hand out to you. Hesitantly you grab it and in an instant you were taken to his den of sloth. He brought you over to a bean bag chair he often uses to relax and play games on. Tsath rests himself on the chair and pulls you onto his lap while his minions wrapped you both in a blanket. “Uh… are you comfortable?” You told him you were very comfortable like that, but if he really had to drag you all the way out to his room. “Yes, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to watch movies.” Tsathoggua did seem genuinely concerned with your well-being in his own way. “I just want you to relax, yeah?”
~So giving into Tsathoggua’s offer rather quickly proved good for you in the end. His body was quite soft and cozy which helped you ease up. The movie more served as white noise for you as you quickly became exhausted due to your sickness and fell asleep cozied up in your friend’s fur. “H-Hey…” Tsathoggua grumbled as you were a bit too relaxed. But he eased up when he saw on your sleeping face. Rather than try to put you to rest elsewhere he figured it’d be better (and less work) to adjust you slightly on his frame and using him like a bed. While you weren’t lucid enough to remember what exactly happened, you were happy it did and slept incredibly soundly.
