Oof they would not have a fun time. Even less power and authority than the Witch Queen and they're not seducing their way out of the dungeon like MC

Lennox and Jinhai would have fun grappling with suddenly being a new species. Jinhai would be half-dissociating, half-accepting of the new ears and hair. Lennox would be openly freaking out that he's sparkling and his irises have gone. Magnus, on the other hand, has to deal with being isekaied as a middle aged man

Jinhai would... probably have the easiest time? He made enemies, but he doesn't have to manage a cult or armies and he's not known for his deception. Probably still not the most tactful, but maybe some brutal honesty will get it across that he has no idea what the fuck is going on, why is he an elf??? His story would probably be learning to commune with his animals and repair their relationship to nature while helping Reiner's retainers

Lennox's cult is the big issue. They'd probably find him wherever he ends up, forcing him to act as their leader without a clue to what he's doing. He'd be lucky if Saerys doesn't kill him on the spot, and every attempt to smooth over misunderstandings with charisma would be seen as him manipulating his enemies. Once things cool down though, he'd probably have fun learning to fly and using magic

Magnus... Magnus, buddy... He'd be lucky to get out of the dungeon without being executed. Magnus is known to lie, cheat, and take advantage of any opportunity, no matter how immoral. It would not be out of character for him to trick Reiner and his only saving grace would be his pride and desperation to get back to the normal world. I think he'd have to find a way to disband or redirect his army against the Witch Queen to earn any kind of trust

I hate being obsessed with diejoni because it’s like the ultimate what-if of a relationship. what even happened here. ten bazillion hints of something we never got to see. why is johnny apparently the only person diego trusts or is even unprofessional with. why can johnny read him like an open book. yeah johnny treats him like a cheating ex don’t question it. for some reason diego is kind of obsessed with him. they know exactly what the other is going to do all the time in any circumstance despite allegedly not spending all that much time with each other. it’s natural okay! it’s like all the puzzle pieces are there but there’s never actual closure. unless there is. but not with each other. i feel insane

They were all still using her as a comfy spot to lay, but they were nothing if not curious about a new scent. Once they moved, so too did the teen and she carefully, with the help of mama, moved all the kittens but the curious orange one back into their luxurious cat bed. Now the hero would be able to have all the time he wanted to get to know the kitten without being disturbed by the others. While she didn't say it, it was easy to see the emerald eyes hopeful that everything was going to go well.

That hopefulness would be reflected in Sonic's eyes as well when he arrived, along with excitement. With Boomer trotting along at his side, her raised tail showed that she was happy to be here too. Moments like this made Sonic all the more grateful for his ability to communicate with feral animals. Boomer knew exactly what was going on and she was all about it.

The site of all those kittens piled on Harmony was adorable, and if given the chance Sonic would snap a photo before they all went back to their bed. Save for the orange one, who seemed to be just as curious about them as they were about him. Boomer stayed back long enough to let Sonic greet the kitten first, not wanting to overwhelm him, and took that moment to butt her head against Harmony's leg instead.

"Hi there, lil' guy," Sonic spoke softly as he knelt down to offer a hand to the kitten, grinning ear to ear at how adorable he was. If allowed, he'd be given him all the pets and scritches he could want, and after a few moments lifted his gaze to Harmony.

"He's totally adorable! And so big! I love him," he told her with a wagging tail, but after a moment he suddenly looked a bit sheepish, pink dusting his muzzle just a little. "Do ya think... Shadow will like him? I was actually plannin' to give him to Shadow as a gift, since he loves cats and I think he could use a lil' buddy. He'd still live with me though, since Shadow's really not home enough to take care of a kitten on his own."

The Song of Shadow/ Latest Ninja events: A rant!

I think these events all began marking the anniversary of the moon arc or shadow arc of the app. and since then have been continuing, showing us the darker more sinister side of the shinobi world. With the new circumstances were introduced new characters. Some friends, some foes.

Sakuya's events began featuring a bright, spirited youngman Mitsu. While Gen's features a dangerous ninja who likes to say he's a painter: Eitoku. Eitoku wants Gen for himself for unknown reasons. Once again in the recent events Gen and MC encounter him again, but this time around he saves them, quoting, "You cant be wasted on others. Your life is mine and mine alone, Genya Fujibayashi."

Saku's opponents get stronger in the latest event as well. Mysterious ninja employs a band of other ninjas to route out Saku who's somewhat immune to a strange ninja technique that turns him into a puppet. Saku loses it in the fight and even turns his Kunai on the MC before finally coming to his senses. killings are rampant in the town, people dying as these ninjas employ strange ninja techniques. the mystery is still unsolved. danger is all around. Saku and MC are both wanted by the Iga.

then in Kyo's path, we encounter Iori, a koka ninja, who's meek and is always criticising himself coming to Kyo's side. He's the survivor of the strange killings of the Koka ninjas. For unknown reasons the koka ninjas are being hunted down. In the latest event, The Killers are closer than ever. They hurt Raita even and Kyo is enraged. Yet again another ninja leader is slain but the mastermind remains. And so does danger. Iori is determined to stay with Kyo, grow stronger to protect his people. Sasuke, Shima, Kyo, Iori and MC are fighting this battle of survival.

Hotaru and MC have been running into danger. With the old man Sandayu playing games with the duo, the danger has only multiplied. There's no telling what happens next.

Masanari and MC have it rough too. And Sasuke and MC... Well things are usual for them but Shinobi life is dangerous, as is. And MC and her clan are deserters. I also love how MC is getting stronger in her fights and is training with these men, always steadfast and inspiring them. Their bond has evolved so much, it's the most endearing thing

Once again the sinister side of ninja world is exposed in all of these events. Voltage is doing such a good job with these plotlines and the new ninja NPCs (yes they've been around for a while but they are newer compared to old ones) are all amazing. I surely hope these events will continue so we can see the end of it. And I hope these NPCs one day get their event stories, they would be hella interesting

While it is sad that the ninja sequels and certain routes haven't come to us English players, I am hanging on to these events. I wish we get to see the end of it

So I have so many corruption au ideas for court of darkness because with all of the stuff MC has to go through in the game, it would be so easy for her to become the villain (especially my mc)

One of the corruption au ideas I had was where MC somehow finds a way to achieve true divinity and godhood and basically becomes a literal goddess. But because of her ancient magic, people would perceive her as a generous goddess and very merciful (cause a woman being capable of violence? that's ridiculous) and she is not happy about it. She does everything in her power to be recognized as a powerful, vengeful, and fearful goddess. Her entire godhood is stained in blood. Every once in a while, people forget how terrifying she is and go back to their old mindset of her. But she's never afraid to remind them again.

The moment they walked into Volt's bedroom Sonic felt immediately a little more at ease, and even more so once that window was shut. The warm light of the lamp was comforting too, but it all paled in comparison to how soothing it felt just to have his hands in Volt's, with the hybrid's thumbs rubbing circles against the back of them. It stole Sonic's focus for a few moments, but that may have been a good thing as it allowed him to straighten out his mind a little.

He leaned into the hand cupping his cheek, shutting his eyes at first, but opening them again to meet with Volt's and catch that smile. It sparked a glimmer of warmth in his chest, just enough to tug at the corners of his own lips for a moment. "Thanks, Volt..."

Slowly, however, the smile faded into something that was almost less of an expression and more of him just looking... tired, and peridots drifted downwards. Logically, Sonic knew there was no chance of Infinite finding him here, even if he was alive. Yet his grip on Volt's hands still tightened. "But... it's more of an issue of what he's already done."

With reluctance he took his hands from his friend's, so that he could unzip his jacket and take it off, followed by his shirt, revealing the somewhat strange looking brace-like thing he was wearing around his lower torso. A few tiny glowing lights on the front of it switched off as Sonic began undoing the fasteners that kept it wrapped tightly around him.

The expression or lack-there-of on his face hardly changed, but the hedgehog did shiver as the brace was removed. Now his brows furrowed, ears twisting back slightly. A moment of hesitation, and a deep breath, and Sonic turned around. Showing Volt the four long, very deep, scars that ran diagonally down his back.

"I... tried to tell you before. But I..." Once again, words failed him. What excuse was there? Other than being weak... He decided to skip to the next part. "I've had two surgeries on them, not countin' the rush job Eggman did when it happened."

It was easy for Volt to realize that the emotions in the room had shifted. How could he not when he could literally hear it in his friend’s voice. Brows creased as he tilted his head and tried to make sure that their eyes continued to meet. Although quite a bit of his own expression changed at the mention of that name. Despite having ended that maniac in the world they were in, that one name was more than capable of drawing a low growl.

Thankfully he was able to choke it back quickly enough that he could listen to Sonic continue talking. Violet eyes moved to the shaking hands and he quickly took them with his own and nodded at the request. “Sure.”

He got to his feet and kept a light hold on his friend’s hands as he moved over to his bedroom. The room was mostly dark due to the time of night and Volt led them over to sit on the bed before he turned on the lamp on the bedside. It cast the room in a warm glow and he went over to close the window that he usually left open for another layer of privacy before returning to Sonic’s side and taking his hands again.

Mismatched thumbs rubbed small circles in a small attempt to make things easier to talk about.

“Take your time Blue… Breathe.” Volt stayed calm and kept his voice calm as well. There was no need to rush as they had already agreed that Sonic was going to be spending the night, if not a few more than that. But he did want to make one thing abundantly clear.

“You’re safe here.” Taking back one hand, it was used to cup Sonic’s cheek and draw his gaze up so their eyes could meet. He offered a small smile. “Sternenberg is safe and that bastard will never touch you again. I promise. Especially not while you’re here.”
