Lost Along the Coast (FTH 2023)

I am joining the end of year rush to post FTH fics! Here is my FTH 2023 fic for @khorazir, who requested a sequel to Blue Plaques that took the boys to a National Trust site outside London. It was so great to revisit this version of John and Sherlock! You don't need to have read (or remember) Blue Plaques to understand this story though. Special thanks to @keirgreeneyes for betaing this work!

Summary: At Mycroft's insistence, John and Sherlock head to Boscastle to investigate a missing woman. But John can't figure out why Mycroft is so personally invested in the case … or why Sherlock seems so taken with the local investigator. Read it here!!!

Magnus Maximus (c. 355 - 28 de agosto de 388 d.C.) fue un usurpador romano y emperador romano de Occidente de 383 a 388. Fue un destacado general del ejército romano, especialmente en la provincia de Britania. En el año 383 usurpó el trono de Occidente, rebelándose contra el emperador legítimo Graciano. Tras la muerte de Graciano, las negociaciones con el emperador oriental Teodosio llevaron a que Máximo fuera proclamado soberano de Britania y la Galia, mientras que Valentiniano II, hermano de Graciano, conservó Italia, España, Panonia y África. Máximo terminó invadiendo Italia, lo que lo llevó a entrar en conflicto directo con Teodosio. Fue derrotado por las fuerzas de Teodosio en la batalla de Save en el año 388. Pudo huir, pero fue capturado y ejecutado en la ciudad de Aquilea en agosto de 388.

This little holiday is the perfect opportunity to prove to John that Rosie (and John himself) can be Sherlock’s priority regardless of what else is going on in the world. Prove that the Work is no longer what matters most.It should be easy, really. I mean, what of interest could possibly happen in Bristol?
