Octana Andaar is a legend.

Planning to live out the rest of her days in peace, Octana has made a home out of the rubble of her home planet, Ethariot, after a failed life on Tatooine with her now deceased lover, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and their daughter, Q’ora. Cassia has traveled a long way in search of the legendary Queen who wielded a lightsaber and helped take down the Empire in the hopes of convincing her to join the rebellion for one more fight against the Empire, now the First Order, by helping them track down the equally legendary Luke Skywalker. It takes much convincing, though Octana agrees, leaving her daughter on Ethariot to help Cassia. Little does she know she will be forced to face not only a boy she once helped raise and his Sith ways, but her own death.

My Star Wars stories (because I really wanna do sth Star Wars) and why I can't just pick which one to work on -

- aka "my brain has unlearned to do things just for shits and giggles and I am making it yall's problem" ✌️

1. Star-Crossed (Nyka'a Sundar & Jaren Korr)

I love their story so much, but since the main focus is on them figuring out their lives and their relationship outside the boundaries set by the Jedi Order, I feel like the "Love Story vs Star Wars Story" scale might be tipped in a way ppl probably wouldn't be interested in...?

2. Distant Stars (Cassia of Aquilea)

It's the Star Wars WIP with the most writing done, so it would make sense to just continue with it, but I am having a hard time getting excited for anything Sequels (even though this particular story already pretty much eliminated everything about them save for Poe^^'). Also the last bit I posted barely got any reaction/feedback and that's never a boost in motivation^^

3. Rebirth (Jay Vendar & the crew of the Rebirth)

I'm in love with the overall concept - a ragtag crew of found family members gallivanting the galaxy in the wake of the Emperor's defeat, saving force sensitive children off of Malachore? What's not to love? Right about now, Ahsoka, apparently. I'm just not feeling her character/her upcoming franchise installment at all. So now I am left with three options- scrap the story alltogether (which would be kind of a shame), bite the bullet and try to work through it as is or scrap Ahsoka and replace her with another OC who happens to be a former jedi in need of a ragtag found family gallivanting the galaxy.

4. Through the Mist (Inara'a Brae)

Still running the same dilemma with this one - her whole background and plot is set up to coincide with what happens during "Kenobi" and the movies from there on out. Her whole story is intertwined with Obi Wan - because she was set up to be an Obi Wan OC, period. But then I accidentally made up a(nother) soulmate for her in the form of Khaii Al'Canthar and now I'm all over the place with where I want to take her (mostly because my heart can't take the thought of hurting Khaii ^^')

Long story short - I am still writer's blocked, yet so desperate to work on sth that I am standing in my own way 🫠

There was no safehouse.

Poe had gone over several ways the meeting with Grakkus's informant could go. He had imagined who they might be, in what kind of dump they were going to meet and how they would expect to be rewarded for their intel.

In none of those scenarios had he found himself in a dark, remote back-alley, frantically looking for a door that didn't exist.

As a matter of fact, I do have Star Wars OCs 🤗

First, there is my girl Cassia (and she even has two published chapters of a fic by the name of "Distant Stars", I can hardly believe it myself) - she is a Poe Dameron OC and the story takes place after TLJ.

Cassia is a street thief on the planet Lok. She first meets Poe when she pick pockets him amd steals his mother's ring. She later saves his life when he has a very close call with a Thrandoshan bounty hunter. After the First Order ceases his ship, Poe appears to be stranded on Lok. But somehow Cassia happens to be a dead ringer for the missing crown princess of the Aquelean system, so he and Cassia hatch the plan to pass her off as Princess Aelia and make it off Lok in the safety Aquleam escort.

If you thought "this kinda sounds like Anastasia in space", yes it does. It's a self indulgent Anastasia fantasy. With a side of Poe Dameron 🥰

And then there's my children Nyka'a Sundar and Jaren Korr who are prequel era jedi.

They grew up at the temple on Coruscant together. They are each other's first memories, they grew up in the same youngling clan, they were inseparable. So much so, they very narrowly didn't even get chosen to become padawans, because especially Jaren's attachment to Nyka'a was already starting to look like it could be an issue.

Aaand they weren't wrong. Jaren has been in love with Nyka'a for as long as he knew what that meant, maybe longer. Nyka'a takes a bit to catch up, but things come to a head sometime in their late teens. It's a lot of "but we can't!" and yet they do and Nyka'a breaks Jaren's heart when he basically lays his heart by her feet and asks her to run away with him, but she runs from her feelings and asks to take the trials.

Then the purge happens and they go on the run from the empire together while trying to figure out what to do about their feelings without the order standing between them.

They are so dramatic and star crossed and "I can't live without you" and I love them so much 🥰

#32 for Cassia & Poe

“Theatrically throwing yourself over me, Dameron?”, Cassia cried. “Really?  You could have died!”

“And you would’ve died if I hadn’t!”, he gave back just as passionately, albeit accompanied by a pained groan as the medical unit cut open the back of his shirt. “You’re welcome, Majesty.”

Kriff, how she hated when he did that - erecting the formalities of her false royalty like a wall between them.

Especially now when... had he no idea how scared she’d been? Lying on the floor after the first eerily silent seconds after the exlosion, with heat and dust stinging in her eyes and the weight of his limp body pressing her into the rubble. Cassia had thought he was dead. For a few, agonizingly long moments she had seen herself without him - Aquilea, her coronation, the whole terrible lie she was living - and it had been unimaginably painful.

And he had the gall to sit there - dirty and bloody and lucky to be alive - and sass her? How dare he?

Cassia felt like she was about to burst into tears. But people were watching her even more so than usually, so she took a few, deep breaths until the lump in her throat was mostly gone.

“This is, by far, the dumbest thing you’ve ever done.”, she muttered through gritted teeth.

“To be fair, you haven’t known me that long”, he gave back with a grin that would have been charming on most days, but now only fuelled her wish to slap him in the face. “Give it time.”

“That wasn’t a challenge”, she told him. “Rest now, Captain. The Queen Mother wishes a debrief at the earliest oportunity.”

Before she left, Cassia leaned down as if to kiss his cheek in a gesture of gratitude, but really she was only moving in close enough to whisper in his ear.

“This is not over”, she promised grimly.

On the other side of the giant double door the music and the murmur suddenly died down. This is it, Poe thought. 

He knew from the way the guards squared their shoulders in anticipation and the way the Ladies’ dresses rustled in his back as they hurried to take their places behind them.

In just a few moments those doors would open and reveal Cassia to the court. No, not Cassia. Not anymore. To the world she’d be Princess Aelia of Aquilea from now on.

“I can’t do this”, Cassia looked at him and suddenly Poe remembered all too vividly how he had mistaken her for a child the first time they met. It seemed like an eternity had passed since then, but standing there before him, eyes wide and lips trembling, she looked younger and - despite the wide skirts and pompous headdress - smaller than the grimy, hooded figure in his cockpit ever had. In fact, she looked so frail that for a moment Poe foolishly feared she might break, when he gently laid his hands on her bare shoulders.

He fought the impulse to roll his eyes at the gasps his innocent yet ilicit touch evoked from her Ladies.

“You will be alright, Princess”, he told her earnestly, before taking a respectful step back. In the corner of his eye he caught Nioba'a sighing in relief when he let his hands fall back to his sides.

“I promise.”

Here it is again. It started out as a “Lost Princess Rey” Damerey!AU, but fandom things got in the way and I canned it. Then I wanted to make it into a Poe/OC story, but kinda chickened out at the last second and made it into an original plot. But this version owns my ass heart, so I couldn’ resist any longer.
