Andorra's national flower, the poet's daffodil (grandalla in Catalan). 🌱🇦🇩

These two photos show this flower in Andorra's landscape, where it blooms in spring. It's a native flower that is widespread in the country's forests, meadows, and gardens, and has served as inspiration for Andorran poets. It has a pleasant sweet smell, which makes it appreciated for making perfumes. In Andorra, the poet's daffodil is also used to make crowns and flower carpets to decorate churches for spring festivities.

However, in the last decades Andorra's landscape has been loosing the meadows where this flower grows. For this reason, the poet's daffodil is losing its natural habitat and has been classified as "almost endangered" in the red list of Andorra's flora.

Andorra Women's Traditional Clothing

One of the most iconic elements of women's traditional clothing in Andorra is the "Montera," a distinctive headscarf or shawl worn as a head covering.

Apart from the Montera, Andorran women traditionally wear a "Casaca," a fitted jacket or bodice worn over a white blouse or shirt.

Cada vez que escucho y observo a @perearagones hablar su maldita lengua materna, suena como un español suplantando al francés sin las reglas de habla del propio francés y no sólo le pasa a él, sino también al resto de la gente que vive en el noreste de España (por no decir que Valencia y Mallorca también).

Por cierto, son apátridas que viven ignorantemente como un monolingüe que no puede respetar el idioma oficial del país donde viven, cagan y mueren.

Quick question: How do other Spanish fans feel about Atleti and Diego Simeone?

To me he's probably one of the most entertaining managers in the world these days he reminds me so much of Mourinho when he takes off down the touchline to celebrate and the way he sets his team up to play i've no idea how people feel about this guy and his team.

haha, i think "cholo" simeone is a figure who provokes a lot of strong feelings with spanish fans, including a lot of love/hate at his antics on the sidelines 😬 real madrid fans probably dislike him more because of their rivalry with atletí!

but he was a whiny baby during barça's attempts to register dani olmo and pau víctor. 🙄 so there’s also some mixed feelings lately with barça fans!

but overall, i think there are a fair number of atletí fans that view him as such an integral part of the team and certainly many fans recognise that he is a brilliant coach. but i think the fact that atletí hasn't won the league since 2020-21 has a lot of fans questioning whether it's time for him to go, and whether he's reached his "peak."

this is an interesting question, and one that i haven't really thought about too often 😅, but i think it's generally positive, especially because we have a shared affinity in our language and similar culture! so probably people feel more connected to andorra than even madrid in some aspects. historically, we used to all be one region hundreds of years ago!

but i think most people view andorra for the tourism! a lot of people in barcelona and catalunya like to travel to andorra during the winter and spring for winter sports (like skiing) and good hiking too! also, if you are interested in duty free shopping, people like doing that too 😅

i think it's a nice place to visit, especially for a long weekend getaway. ellie went there over the christmas holidays!
