Generally a sound philosophy. Maybe don’t inject yourself with someone else’s gamma-irradiated blood, though. Trying to design people always turns out to be an exercise in devaluing the lives of actual humans with bodies and lives that don’t fit someone’s “grand design.”

After an academic discussion about the ramifications of trying to benefit from time travel, Peter Corrigan suddenly found himself transported from 1961 back to April 14th, 1865. Corrigan desperately tried to prevent the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. While his efforts were in vain, thanks in part to the intervention of John Wilkes Booth, when Corrigan did return to the present he found that he had altered the course of time after all. Phone Booth (2003)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Phone Booth has some background signs that use patterned lights. These create a mild to moderate strobe effect, which is mitigated somewhat by the fact that the entire film takes place in bright daylight. Some rapid edits in the opening sequence and the climactic moment may create a minor strobe effect. Police cars are shown with spinning-style lights.
There are frequent but brief shots filmed with handheld cameras, some of which have minor shaking. There is a double-vision effect during one of the final scenes that may be disorienting.
Flashing Lights: 7/10. Motion Sickness: 5/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: The gun violence in this film is likely to be upsetting. One person is believed to die by suicide. Sex workers are treated with constant disrespect.
