hes from an anthro universe of mine that takes place mainly in the steampunk era (which in universe is 1800-1870) max was born in 1810, born right at the start of when things were getting revolutionized he became one of the first inventors to use time in his inventions anyhoodle he owns a gadget shop eventually idiot makes a time machine and ends up in the cyberpunk age also hes bisexual and aplatonic!!

🐈 CAT — does your oc prefer a wide circle of friends or a few close friends?

MC definitely preferred a larger circle of friends; he loved everyone in his group and loved interacting with them! he doesn't remember much of all of that, but if he was suddenly thrust into a huge friendgroup he'd feel right at home

being aplatonic, sl doesn't care much at all about friendships. sun doesn't REALLY mind talking to others, but dar just doesn't really feel any want for friends.

lie loves being the center of attention, but only has a couple very close friends. star's a bit scared of being payed any attention due to the actions of his ancients, and star REALLY hates having "friend groups" because it's hard for star to keep up with them

leaves talks to sunself a lot! sun doesn't really care if other people hear, even if it's stuff that others would be looked down for - dar correctly believes that being a dick to someone for smth as harmless as talking to themselves is stupid. aside from that, i think leaves probably moves dark's hands around a lot when talking, even when not doing so for emphasis. autusm

dbd is very very close-minded. he believes that since feels so much, he knows all there is to feel, and his feelings are always correct and valid. he refuses to change his behaviors or ways of thinking for ANYONE

sl is open minded but tends to gravitate to people who clearly know what theyre talking abt (as in they seem unsure at some points and dont always answer questions with perfect confidence, but give information that is obviously true, makes sense and is not immediately disproven by suns own vast knowledge on whatever subject)

hey guys totally not advertising my comic or anything but the two leads are aspec and most of the characters are aspec as well and there is literally no implication of sex ever because since they’re based on plants they don’t really need that to reproduce. and it’s based on Victorian flower language. pls read my comic when it comes out!! there will be multiple aplatonic, aroallo, alloaces, and aroaces throughout the story!! and I personally am using my own experiences as an ace and an aro to best represent these characters along with researching perspectives I don’t understand!

Drew one of my OCs for ASAW 2024! I’m trying to do something artsy and/or crafty each day of this week, but I’ve already missed a couple days and I can’t guarantee I’ll make something for the rest of this week, but I’ll try! It’s been hard with uni kicking my butt ;v; But anyway, this character is an eldritch god of sorts who arrived on Earth and was perplexed by the human concept of “love” as, being a cosmic entity, he has never experienced such nor is he capable. In human terms, he’d likely be a “loveless aro.” He normally doesn’t have green as part of his colour scheme, but I wanted to implement loveless aro colours somehow haha! Also I need to clarify that he does typically have tear-like patterns streaming down his cheeks and he isn’t “distraught” over his lack of love. He may be aplatonic too, but I’m undecided at this point. (I should also stress too that there are human aro and ace characters in this little fictional universe of mine too, so this fella isn’t the only aro rep in it!)

Wondering if maybe I should make my aroace intersex OC aplatonic as well. Like, maybe either plato-favorable or plato-indifferent. I have several OC’s that make up a friend group, but I’ve been wondering for a bit if I should make one of them aplatonic, since I’m on that spectrum myself (grayplatonic) and since aplspec people are horribly underrepresented. Kind of weird that I would make several OC’s when I’m not really capable of fleshing out even one of them (I really only know basic things about all of them). But anyway, I was thinking that maybe the character I’m referring to first joined the friend group a long time ago because of shared interests with one or more of the members of the friend group. She knows she cares about those who call themselves her friends, but she comes to realize that she doesn’t love them like someone who’s alloplatonic would; that she wouldn’t mind if she stopped seeing them altogether. Sure, she likes having people to talk to about her interests and to vent to, and is mostly fine with the give-and-take that friendship demands, but when it really comes down to it, she likes being alone most of the time. She eventually kind of leaves the friend group as they go their separate ways. Maybe one or more of them check in on her from time-to-time, which she doesn’t mind, but she goes on to live on her own with her cat Nimbus (or Bus for short), pursuing her career and interests.

Idk, how does that sound? I’m not entirely aplatonic, so I’m not sure if this is really good or not. I don’t really plan to do anything with my characters as of now (I probably never will tbh, lmao) but I still want to make sure that they don’t misrepresent any of the lgbt+ groups that my characters fit into (or any of the racial groups they are a part of, but that’s not what I’m talking about in this post). For instance, I’m perisex, so I have many things to learn about intersex people. I guess this is one of the reasons I don’t try to flesh out my OC’s that much; because I’m afraid of inserting my own ignorance and biases into their characters (if that makes sense?). But anyway, thoughts?

(Sorry about this post. It’s just that, if I didn’t make it, I would probably spend hours awake thinking about this idea)

When my upcoming novel will be done, I hope I was able to tackle lovelessness well because even though I don't consider myself loveless, I fuck with loveless aros/aces and agree that the term 'love' isn't this all important thing since theirs already other terms that mean the same thing as love. Their just words we use to describe ourselves and our relationships with people and I don't think we should limit ourselves to that. It's mostly composed with my protagonist, who doesn't 'love' anyone and can even be considered 'heartless' if you want to. However, they would learn that it is all about the choices we make that really matters in life because we would get something out of it, even if small and perhaps, meaningless to some. Their lovelessness is still kept the same because it's never a flaw in their character, only a trait. I do hope I can succeed in this and if not, I can always rewrite it again.
