The perks of being a character with an incorrect description of DID! ...there are plenty of them, surprisingly not just abusing yourself and people around you.
or
Oh that Ahomine boi, confused again.

This was fun to write!! Sorry if it feels a bit crack-ish at some parts!! Splitting it up into two parts, first up is Akashi, Midorima, and Aomine!
Akashi, Midorima, and Aomine with Reader who gets lots of confessions
Akashi
“Seijuro, what on earth is this?!?”
Akashi barely reacted as you slammed the sliding door open, cheeks red as you marched up to his desk, depositing the picture onto his desk.
“It appears to be a picture of the two of us, _____. A rather lovely one.” Looking up at you, Akashi folds his hands in front of himself serenely, smiling innocently at you.
“I can see what it is, but…” You flip it over to the back, the glossy, embossed lettering so bright that it almost hurts your eyes. “T-This is a wedding invitation!!”
“Hm? Oh, I did forget about that part. I apologize.”
“Seijuro, this is an invitation to OUR wedding.” You reply, the palm of your hands flat on the desk as you lean in. “All of my classmates wouldn’t stop talking about it…and we’re not even engaged!!”
“I figured this would be the easiest way to send a message to the student body, instead of approaching them all individually.” Akashi’s voice is still calm as he smirks slightly, secretly loving the way you’re currently resembling a slightly pissed-off kitten.
“Why did you do this??”
“I’m not blind to all the confessions that you’ve been constantly receiving, _____.” Akashi’s voice dipped a tone as you gulped. “Rest assured that I know you’ve been firm in your rejections, however…I can’t say that I have the most patience when it comes to matters about you.”
“Besides…” Akashi pulls you in, catching you off guard as he kisses you deeply, leaving you breathless before he finally pulls back. “You should know that no one else could ever be my Empress but you, love.”
Midorima
“Don’t be surprised if _____-chan breaks up with you, Shin-chan!” Takao giggles as he watches Midorima’s form falter for a second before the ball swishes through the net. “The confessions have been getting more and more romantic, I’ve heard…”
“Ridiculous.” Midorima pushes up his glasses, sending a scathing glare in the hawk-eyed player’s direction, mouth set in a firm line. “As if that type of nonsense would bother me.”
“If you never show her any affection, even the angelic _____ will get sick of you.” Takao warns, stretching his arms above himself. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you!”
Annoyed by Takao’s constant interruptions, Midorima briefly considers launching the next ball in the direction of Takao’s head when he notices that you were no longer sitting at your place in the stands.
“…” Tossing the ball in his hands back into the cart, Midorima ignores Takao’s knowing grin as he stomps angrily to the entrance of the gym, his fists clenching as he comes upon the familiar scene of one of your many admirers bowing their head in front of you.
“Enough.” Midorima snarls, both of you startling to his appearance as he drags you behind him, ignoring your protests. “_____ is taken, and if this foolishness continues on for much longer, I will be forced to take action.”
“Ah, that’s how it is, I’m sorry.” You quickly reply, peeking out from behind Midorima’s back. “I love my boyfriend and he’s rather protective, so…I’m sorry I can’t respond to your feelings.”
Midorima quickly retreats back into the gym, ears and face burning in embarrassment as he completely misses the thumbs up you throw towards Takao, the latter responding with a victory sign.
Aomine
“Dai-chan!! DAI-CHAN!!”
“Tsk, Satsuki, quit your screaming.” Rubbing his eyes, Aomine frowned at the shadow of his ever present guardian. “I was having a nice nap…”
“Do you do anything but sleep, you ganguro?” Pushing against Aomine’s shoulder, Momoi tries to get the blue-haired basketball player to sit up.
“What is it now…_____’s got something going on so I’m waiting for her.” Yawning, Aomine rubbed the back of his neck as he groggily shook himself awake.
“Yeah, she’s getting CONFESSED to!”
“So? She’ll just reject all those losers.”
Momoi hmphs, hands on her hips. “This one’s different, Dai-chan! The guy’s been stalking _____-chan for weeks!!”
“What?” Aomine pauses, looking over in the direction of Momoi’s pointing. From his vantage point on the roof, Aomine realized he was looking directly down on you, standing in front of your classmate behind the school. “Looks like usual-“
The blood in Aomine’s veins burn as he notices how you’re trying to back away, your classmate only stepping forward even closer. A growl leaves Aomine’s lips as he watches how the scum tries to latch onto your arm, and before Momoi can even process what just happens, Aomine’s already shouted as he…
“DID YOU JUST JUMP OFF THE ROOF?!” You yelp, startled at Aomine’s sudden appearance. Not only did it seem like he had fallen out of nowhere, he did literally just jump down from the roof. “AHOMINE! What if you got yourself hurt-“
“Quiet for a bit while I deal with this trash for now.” Aomine’s barely registering the fact that he pulled a stunt that most likely would have killed anyone else, barging in front of you as he grabs the guy by the front of his shirt. “Didn’t anyone teach you not to touch what’s not yours, you goddamn punk?”

character ask: kagami, momoi, alex and himuro 👀👀👀
!!! omg thank u Ceru! u might be one of my favorite mutuals <33 (putting this under a read more just so I can speak at lengths about each individual character)
Why I like Kagami: this is where I sarcastically ask “why DON’T i like him” but that’s literally the next question so; he’s everything i want to be and more. He has the determination and the willpower to make his own dreams come true, he’s gay as shit, he’s tall and buff and well-adjusted, mature enough to live on his own at an annoyingly young age, he’s funny and dumb and a total himbo as well as an excellent advisor bc of how grounded he is.
Why I don’t: I’m... not really good with explosive people. Violent men with loud voices especially scare me, and I’d think I’d flinch around him a lot and that would make me rlly anxious.
Favorite episode: it’s a toss-up between the Seirin fam visiting his place for the first time (is it where Kuroko confesses his love to him and then passes out in his arms? idk), and the onsen episode. I also loved all his plays against Kise and Aomine. AND the training camp w him running a lot in the sand.
Favorite season/movie: season 2 probably because he’s not a jerk anymore, but he’s still on his way to shed off any asshole behavior stuck to him. And I actually liked Last Game?
Favorite line: “There’s no such thing as useless effort.” and “This is our drama and we write the plot.” because he’s so ridiculous.
Favorite outfit: all of his casual fits... comfy but manly is my Jam
OTP: AoKaga....they’re truly soulmates, star-crossed lovers, canonically brought together by fate.
Brotp/otp no. 2: KagaKuro, I love them
Head Canon: I have several collections because I think too much about this boy, but here’s something I think about his family: he doesn’t know what happened to his mom. He never asked, because it wasn’t relevant, and he didn’t want to inconvenience his dad by questioning him. Occasionally, as a kid he felt like he was missing out on something (seeing other kids with their moms, feeling like they’re being treated with much more gentle care because they have moms), but as he grew older he realized that nurturing behavior shouldn’t have been limited to only a mother, and that he was just straight up neglected without any regards to missing a parent in his life.
Unpopular opinion: I never realized this was an unpopular opinion but I’m glad he went back to America at the end of Last Game. Obviously, it’s sad that he had to separate from the others, but I felt like Japanese basketball has always been just a stepping point to him, and now that he’d beat the best of them, it was time to move on. And it also warms my heart that him getting scouted in the US gave Aomine hope to aim big, too. I felt like both of them would’ve felt trapped in Japan with their skill sets.
A wish: I want him to be happy and gay and to confront Himuro and tell him how hurt he was by how he treated him and probably do the same to his dad too
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: ....whatever I’d say Shinsun has probably written it/will write it, but I don’t want him to forget about the GoM just because he becomes a world-famous athlete.
5 words to best describe them: sweet child with anger issues
My nickname for them: not mine (it’s Sypha’s) but “Kags”, Kagami, Tigerboy, Kagababe, Baby
Why I like Momoi: she is SO nurturing and sweet and she cares so much about her boys!! I’m sorry it always turns into “how they remind me of myself” but actually I get feeling like a background character and being the moral/emotional/physical support of those who are more talented or in any way better than you. I feel a strange kind of kinship with her and also,,, feminine girls make my heart stop, and it doesn’t get more feminine than Momoi. Added: Aomine aside, the Touou team wouldn’t worth shit without her skills tbh, and she’s not in any way less than the GoM. Also, I appreciate her being the one person to try to keep their friend group together.
Why I don’t: Analytical People Scare me like!! how do u know stuff people are Unknowable!! I usually am also irked by her pointing out Riko’s breast size but I can just pretend that’s in a gay way (maybe Momoi likes girls with small boobs and she’s just bad at flirting) (also I don’t exactly liked her calling Aomine a “ganguro” but I have too little knowledge on the use of this word to say exactly why)
Favorite episode (scene if movie): uh the one where Aomine made her cry? It really came through how much love she actually has for her friends at that one.
Favorite season/movie: she was great in all of them!!
Favorite line: I can’t remember the exact quote and Google isn’t really helpful either but the one where she made Kuroko promise they’ll always play together or something? Or that they’re gonna beat Aomine?? idk?
Favorite outfit: I like all of them but mostly I just appreciate her wearing so many hoodies, she looks so cute in them
OTP / Brotp: it’s both AoMomo. I feel like the have the most special and strongest bond in the entire series.
Head Canon: She’s never been shown to do, but I feel like she wears Aomine’s clothes a Lot. Also, they definitely have sleepovers To This Day.
Unpopular opinion: Momoi is good at basketball and she loves playing!!! But try being successful in it when ur opponents are Giants and Way More Buff than you are
A wish: I wish people appreciated her more!! Both in fandom and in canon. She’s an amazing person and she has her own skills and strengths that are rarely explored or even mentioned anywhere.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: her falling out with her boys ;-; I do not want that
5 words to best describe them: strawberry sweetheart to steal ur heart
My nickname for them: Satsuki :> I feel like it’s a little too much to call characters on their first names sometimes but hers is so cute I can’t
Why I like Alex: yet again another woman with an extensive skill set. I love her persistence and again I appreciate getting disillusioned and finding your way back to the thing you love. Also it’s just sweet that she did that by teaching (again, something I can relate to)
Why I don’t: the whole “kissing children” thing rubbed me the wrong way but again, just like Momoi’s obsession with comparing breast sizes, it’s just bad/sexist writing from Fujimaki probably
Favorite episode (scene if movie): adshg any and all where she expressed that Himuro and Kagami are equally important to her <33 that shit makes my heart burst
Favorite season/movie: she only appears towards the end of s2 and in s3 so... I guess s3?
Favorite line: its so Bad that u literally can’t find the iconic quotes of these iconic ladies anywhere but... her story on finding her passion again through teaching kids, and anytime she mentions her fondness of Kagami and Himuro.
Favorite outfit: her iconic olive green coat with the short red shorts... wtf was that I loved it.
OTP: she doesn’t really interact with people her age but I’ve heard she’s shipped with Masako Araki and I’ve seen some seriously good fanarts and like... Yes Good I’d Love To See It
Brotp: I feel like her and Himuro would be that sassy pair that Kagami tries and fails to contain and they get into all sorts of weird, absurd situations asdjs what I’m trying to say is Kagami has to bail them out of jail from time to time
Head Canon: fck me if I’m wrong but she’s the lesbian single mom of the two gay kids she reluctantly adopted from the streets
Unpopular opinion: it’s more like another headcanon, but she can dunk and she taught Kagami how to do it.
A wish: I’d love her to coach the Seirin fam more!! Pls let her be part of her children’s lives (she could also judge streetball games between the goms it would be fun)
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: anything about her being romantically involved with her pupils makes me.................no
5 words to best describe them: Beautiful Beach Blonde Basketball....goddess
My nickname for them: Alex!! sometimes An Icon
Why I like Himuro: em dash Asdgsdj I’m joking, I’m becoming more and more fond of the boy. Once I realized that he shouldn’t have been the “bigger person” in that situation and one year doesn’t really mean much when you’re that young and that hurt, I realized he’s actually a good and hard-working kid and I’m sorry for giving him so much shade. Also I really like his snark and sass, but that might not even be canon at this point tbh
Why I don’t: I’m still sort of irked by him beating down on Kagami because he was envious/mad, but I realized the aspect of that situation that Really got to me was how devoted Kagami still was to him after all that. That devotion was what felt toxic, nothing that Himuro actually did to him.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): the time they met up w Kagami just to exchange a dramatic socially distancing bro fist and a few encouraging words.... gays be Like That
Favorite season/movie: I really didn’t mind s3 Himuro
Favorite line: apparently he’s said some iconic stuff that I don’t remember (and my sources don’t seem really legit) but I’m gonna say “let’s see you become number 1, bro” because again, that’s just so ridiculous and endearing. On one hand he really went from loathing Kagami to rooting for him and wanting him to reach his full potential and on the other, honey ur  like 17 stop speaking like That
Favorite outfit: his knitted V-neck sweaters and the black coat with the white fur.... boy’s got all the fashion sense that’s missing from Kagami
OTP: can I say.....AoHimu asdfh I ship 3/4 of these characters with Aomine what does that say about me
Brotp: KagaHimu. They can be sweet, but I’ve only ever seen Jake write them really well
Head Canon: I’ve been entertaining the idea of....trans Himuro.....
Unpopular opinion: everyone thinks that Kagami is the violent kid and Himuro is the chill, sweet child who’s somehow wound up with this mess of a fiery tiger, but it’s actually Himuro who taught Kagami how to fight and Kagami learned quite a lot of aggression from him
A wish: I feel like Himuro should’ve gotten a separate episode to explore his thoughts, feelings and past. He had so much potential as a character Is2g
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: him quitting basketball would fucking destroy me. I’d be devastated for others too, but it would really pull on my heartstrings if he just dropped the only thing he’s been so passionate about.
5 words to best describe them: gender-non-conforming emo child
My nickname for them: Himu, Tatsuya, Tatsu

Kurobas Vday Challenge Day 6 - Aomomo
During her life, Momoi Satsuki had always felt she was a supporting character in the life of her friends. It all started when Aomine and she started to attend Teiko. The afternoons spent together decreased but not to the point she truly noticed what was happening, after all she was also making new friends and discovering to live away from her childhood friend. Then, Aomine decided to join the basketball club and of course Akashi soon noticed the girl who usually waited for him had a wonderful talent for data analysis. Because of the boys being the ones who played, a lot of people ignored the role Momoi had played as manager of the Generation of Miracles. Only a few people recognized that the said Generation would have been just a normal team without her presence. Kuroko, Akashi, Riko and even her later team of Touou never forgot who the real genius was. And with time, when all the scars were almost healed, Momoi could almost feel how that wave of recognition spread throughout all her friends. The first time Murasakibara congratulated her for all her work she almost cried. All of them had their own way to apologise and praise her after everything she had done.
Except for Aomine.
Because that stupid ganguro never said anything to her when everyone agreed he was the one who owned the most to Momoi. And strangely, she was fine with it. Aomine had never been a man of words so Momoi leant from a young age to decipher his meaning by his actions. Like waiting for her with an umbrella on a rainy day, going shopping with her even when he hates it, and asking her to play against him in the court close to home. But still, it would be nice if she could at least take some praise from the blue boy. Which she did not expect to receive in the form of jealousy.
“You’re jealous,” she laughed. “I’m flattered.”
“I’m talking seriously, Satsuki!” frowned Aomine. “You can’t trust her.”
“She has only asked me to help her team, Dai-chan.”
“You can’t help the female basketball club,” he insisted. “You help us.”
“That doesn’t mean I can’t help them too,” she answered moving her hair. “I think playing with girls will actually be nice.”
“Wait!” Aomine stepped forward, letting his arm hug her from behind in a delicate gesture. “I… I’m sorry… I know you want to but…”
“But?”
“Damn it, Satsuki, are you really going to make me say it?” Momoi looked up with a smile. “Fine… I don’t want to play with them… because I don’t want you to stop playing with me… because I don’t want you to realise you deserve better.”
“Oh, Dai-chan, there is no need to be jealous,” she kissed his nose. “You’re my favourite to play with after all.”
“Even… even after everything?”
“Even after everything,” she let him lean his head over her shoulder. “You know, Dai-chan? Those times, I really wished to disappear but every time you would appear out of nowhere asking for my help. You made me feel needed when anyone else needed me.”
“Then, I’m going to keep needing you forever, Satsuki.”
“That’s the best promise you could make.”

The Autumn I Fell For You
Part 1
So since I'm new to this I honestly don't know what to write here? Please read my fanfiction and give your feedback. So far there will be no NSFW (but let's see~). Enjoy the story :)
Arisa's POV
Okay, that's it. I am done with the guy called Aomine Daiki. I don't even understand how, I mean, HOW could he be popular. He is totally rude, always smells like sweat, a sloth and a pervert. The only thing he's good at is playing basketball. Okay, he's really good at that but still. That is the only one thing. And I totally have enough reason to hate him.
2 weeks earlier
"Arisa-chan!"
I looked behind to find the source of that voice. A certain pink haired girl ran to me. "Arisa-chan, you're here!"
"Sacchan!" I hugged her tightly. Momoi Satsuki is my childhood friend. I used to live in Tokyo until 4th class and then my family decided to move to Okinawa. But now they moved back to Tokyo, so I have to transfer school. Since Momoi is in Touou, I decided to get into Touou as well.
"Wow, two hot girls hugging in the morning is a little bit too much even for me. But I shouldn't complain. Please continue,"
The words came out of the mouth of a certain ganguro (tan skinned guy) with dark blue hair. He slowly walked to us while yawning.
"Satsuki, I didn't know you have a friend with boobs rivaling yours."
"Dai-chan!"
He walked away leaving us after getting scolded by Momoi. I was in such a state of shock to the point that my face took a couple of seconds before it was as red as tomato. Reflexively, I crossed my arms in front of my chest.
"I'm sorry, Arisa-chan. Dai-chan has a dirty mouth and is kind of rude but he's actually a good guy. Please forgive him."
I looked at Momoi, "that was a blunt sexual harassment."
"Well, I can't blame you. I'm sorry. I'll make sure to scold him again later."
I didn't even care if Momoi scolds him or not. That was so unexpected. I couldn't believe what I heard so early in the morning. He didn't even know my name. It was literally my first day at school.
"My name is Kirihara Arisa. I used to live in Okinawa and my family moved here just a week ago. Please take care of me."
"Okay Kirihara-san. Hmm where should you sit now? Ah! There's an empty seat in the back beside Aomine-san. Or do you prefer to sit on the front?"
The blue haired guy was sitting in the back while bitting his pen, looking out of the window. That guy! Hell no! I'd rather sit on the front.
A timid brown haired guy greeted me as soon as I sat down. "Hi, my name is Sakurai Ryou. Pleased to meet you. I am sorry if I bother you."
I nodded at him and smiled, "I am Kirihara Arisa. Nice to meet you and we've just met so you haven't bothered me at all."
The bell rang and school is finally done for today. Momoi asked me to go with her. She actually invited Aomine too, but he said, "no way, it's such a pain to hang out. I'm gonna go home and nap."
Good for me! I thought as I walked away with Momoi.
"Where are we going?"
"You see, I always told you that I only have guy friends who play basketball. One of them is Aomine. I want to introduce you to the others," Momoi smiled as she said that. Ah, nice. I've always like guys who play sports. Getting to know more people in Tokyo wouldn't be so bad either.
"So, is Kuroko going to be there too?"
"E-eh!" Her face blushed. "I guess Tetsu is also coming."
We arrived at Maji Burger. I ordered some food for myself and Momoi only had a vanilla milkshake.
"Momocchi!"
I turned my face at the voice and, wow! That guy is really hot. His face is so familiar too, isn't he a model?
"Ki-chan!"
We sat at the table. There are two other guys. One of them has a wild look with red hair and the other is kinda plain. He also didn't have a lot of presence and I almost overlooked him.
"Hey Momocchi, is this your childhood friend you told me about? What's her name?"
"Eh, my name is Kirihara Arisa. Nice to meet you," I said while averting my gaze so I won't blush. He is too hot!
"My name is Kise Ryouta. Nice to meet you too! Is it okay if I call you Aricchi?"
I nodded at him. Okay, my face was already burning by that time.
"Okay, Ki-chan. Stop flirting with Arisa-chan. Arisa-chan, this is Kagami Taiga and this is my beloved Tetsu-kunnnn," Momoi said, or squealed to be more precise.
"I'm Kagami Taiga from Seirin high school."
"My name is Kuroko Tetsuya. Nice to meet you, Kirihara-san."
I smiled at them, but honestly, my mind was filled with a certain blond guy beside me. How could this hot guy be a friend of a certain tanned jerk?
How the hell could I drain my blood away from my face, if Kise Ryouta is sitting beside me?

Okay so THANKS A BUNCH for answering my ask much appreciated and if it's not a bother could we get a scenario where Aomine and Haizaki seriously developing feelings for reader hcs PLEASE ABS AND THANK YOU!!!!
To make things a bit easier I’m gonna make this college age
This guy in your class was always cheating off you and you knew it. He smelled like Old Spice and shrimp tempura half the time! Today you found him sitting at your table and picking at your lunch as usual. You glared at him as he practically wolfed down your food.
“You could, oh I don’t know, BUY YOUR OWN!”
“Why? Yours tastes fine. Besides, the lunch ladies look at me like I’m a douche.”
“Oh and I wonder why.”
You rolled your eyes and slid him the tray. Haizaki always bothered you. He made it his mission to annoy the utter crap out of you no matter what you did or didn’t do. He asked you to meet him at the cafeteria with his dinner. You simply rolled your eyes and walked away from him.
“I’ll take your walking away as a yes. Oh and keep walking, I love the view.”
You could hear him cackling as you met another guy from your class. He was a bit better but you did find him looking down your shirt at your cleavage. He was known as the boob guy so it was to be expected. You walked into your class and looked around. With no sign of the guy you took a seat. You grabbed your pen and notebook as your phone went off. Since class had yet to start you looked at the message. It was a picture from Haizaki. Knowing he pervy nature you simply erased it.
“Sneaking around are we? Why’d you come in the back door?”
You jumped hearing the deep voice beside you. Aomine Daiki, to be a large man, could be a ninja as he had cat’s feet. You put a hand over your pounding heart and looked to him.
“I was avoiding someone. Don’t fall asleep in class this time!”
“Yeah…I can’t promise you that. I can use your notes, right? Thanks.”
Daiki always had a hat for this particular class. He used it as his cover for his in-class naps. You shook your head and noticed a note under your pen. When did that get there?
{Meet me in the cafeteria for dinner. Bring those chocolate cupcake things}
Ok, so Daiki has requested your presence for dinner as well. You had half a mind to stand up both those jokers! With another sigh you paid attention in class for you and Daiki. With the evening upon you, you walked to the cafeteria. Little did you know that the two men in your life met up before you arrived.
Haizaki looked over Aomine and snorted. Since when did he go to this school? He still remembered their not so friendly meetings during the Winter Cup in high school.
“What are you doing here, Ganguro?”
Aomine snapped his head and looked over to the guy. How dare?!
“Waiting for someone. An actual human with feelings not that you would know about that.”
“Oh boo hoo, you hurt my wittle feelings! At least I can still be seen in the dark.”
“I can still punch pretty hard. Shut it before I KTFO you, dick-wad.”
Aomine did himself a favor and ignored his former rival. He looked down at the single blue rose and hoped this would work. Both men looked to you as you entered.
“Hey, what’s up? You both wanted me here so what’s going on? Dinner isn’t very exciting today.”
You were clueless to the previous conversation. They both glared at each other then, with soft eyes, looked to you. They both spoke to you then looked at each other. You could feel the testosterone influence aggression. You pointed to Aomine and his rose.
“What’s with that??”
“Look…I know I’m not the smartest guy but I can make you pretty happy. I guess… I want you to date me.”
Haizaki laughed his obnoxiously and slapped his knee. Once he gained his breath he wiped a tear and looked to you.
“Listen, Babe, I can definitely be a better date than this loser. I can make you scream and you’ll have access to an all you can eat buffet below my belt. I think the choice is obvious.”
Both males looked at you as your mind thought about your choice. Well, this was certainly a pickle.

So is a popular headcanon that Aomine wears makeup? I’ve seen a couple of people call him ganguro and I can’t get the image of him applying thick foundation every morning out of my head XD

Beautiful Liar, a Kuroko no Basuke fanfiction
Summary: What happens when the person you cherish so much leaves you in the darkness? You’re falling down, no one to catch you down there and no one to hold your hand to prevent you from falling down the endless dark pit. You’re sinking in quick sand, drowning in the darkest place in the sea. And that’s what happened to Kuroko Tetsuya. He loved each and every one of the Generation of Miracles, and yet they treated him like garbage- playing him for their own sick amusement. After realising that he wasn’t meant to be by their side anymore, he broke. He turned, walked away; And committed suicide. The Generation of Miracles knew they were wrong. Heck, they wanted to rewind time and slap their past selves for being so inconsiderate for their beloved phantom’s feelings. But no one can rewind time, no matter how many times you beg; the clock won’t tick backwards.Five years later, their former manager drags all of them to a boy band concert. As the concert starts, they all see their precious former teammate on stage, singing. Kuroko Tetsuya was still alive, but what happens when he doesn’t remember any of them?
Chapter 4: Bitter Truth
Hearing a knock on the door, Yuki rose from his seat and walked towards the only entrance to his house, mumbling about how late it was. He had just came back from practice, and when he did, he found out that his parents — who were supposed to come back for his birthday — had to stay in Canada for a few more months due to work. He hasn't seen them for five months, his house's occupants were only him and a few maids and butlers they hired. Although he was quite close with most of them, it still didn't change the fact that his parents were going to miss his birthday for the fourth year in a row. To summarise, he wasn't in a good mood.
Opening the door, he found a crying Tetsuya in front of him. His jaw almost dropped as the younger boy let go of his things and leaned towards the elder male, gripping his shirt tightly. "Yuki-kun, what did I do wrong?" He whimpered, his voice hoarse from crying since god knows how long. Yuki could only wrap his arms around the petite boy, pulling him into a tight embrace and whispering reassuring words in his ear. "It's freezing outside, let's get you inside. I'll ask Shigure to make some tea." Kuroko didn't answer.
He narrowed his eyes at the sight of the second youngest member of the group. Tetsuya rarely showed any emotions, let alone let anyone see him so heartbroken. Yuki knew exactly why the latter didn't let his emotions out; he knew how to hide them too well because of his family. It wasn't just him, it was Takumi as well. The twins were a master at hiding their true feelings, something that he always listed it under the troublesome category. Shaking his head, not wanting to even think about the wretched Kuroko family, he held the bluenette in his arms and ushered him inside.
Tetsuya is a precious child. Although he came from a rich environment, he didn't gloat, he didn't stood out, he wasn't even visible sometimes. He was a silent boy, he was always left behind, always forgotten by his friends and sometimes even by his teachers. The only teacher that remembered him was his Japanese Literature teacher, due to the fact that Tetsuya was the best out of the best in his class.
He was the complete opposite of his brother.
Takumi, on the other hand, was absolutely stunning. In that school, he was the best out of the best in all of his classes, a complete teacher's pet. He was popular in and out of class; the whole school knows his name. He was also the student council president. He was just.. perfect. The two didn't attend the same school, though; Tetsuya attended Teiko Middle School whilst Takumi attended Tokyo Private School.
Although they were very different, they were also very alike. There's no need to talk about their looks – they're twins for goodness sake. Their personality, for instance;  both of them are quiet and organised. Both of them look out for each other and scold the latter whenever the former did something wrong.
He remembered the first time they met; oh, how he disliked the memory. He was scouted when he was five by someone who introduced themselves as the agency's A&R, and was an idol in training for a few years until he was called to the President's room. Yuki wasn't that good, but he always landed in the top 20 out of 100 students.
When he entered the room, he found a few more kids that he recognised were also idols in training, and there were the twins. The two brothers would always be the first and second best students, everyone liked them except the ones who despised people who were better than them. Yuki remembered some students bad-mouthed about the twins. The Kuroko family is a well-known family in the Entertainment Industry, and there were rumours going around about the family bribing the teachers to make sure the twins would always land first and second place. At some point, Yuki believed them – but stopped when he saw with his own eyes how talented the siblings were.
When the President announced that he was going to form a group with the four students — which consisted of Seiji, the so-called 'mom friend', Shiro, the baby and the demon twins, — Yuki felt like he wanted to scream. No, not because of happiness; but because he saw Takumi snickering from the corner of his eye. He was about to growl at the other, but was stopped when the latter's face made contact with his twin's book. "Stop laughing, you disgrace of a brother." This time, it was Yuki's time to snicker.
Yuki and Tetsuya got along fairly quickly due to them sharing common interests, but him and Takumi took a longer time to get used with each other's presence. Truthfully, Takumi was quite annoying at first. Whenever the latter wanted to hang out with Tetsuya, his bloody brother would get in-between them and say that 'he didn't want to be left out'. Warming up to Seiji wasn't that difficult since they were acquainted even before they were scouted. Shiro.. Well, it took him a while to get used to his pathetic cries which adults found 'adorable'. Eventually, Yuki realised why Takumi was so overly protective of his younger brother; when their puppy — a small husky they found on the way back from piano lessons, per Takumi — who Tetsuya loved deeply died from getting run over by a car, Tetsuya broke.
Just like glass, Tetsuya was fragile. When they saw the poor pup whimpering in pain, Tetsuya was a crying mess. He kept asking the dog to not go, to stay at least for a little while longer. The pained face he had on was something Yuki prayed he'd never see again. It was painful seeing his friend like that. The dog died there; the animal ambulance that Takumi probably called was a second too late. That night, in their dorm, Yuki couldn't sleep at all as he heard Tetsuya's soft sobs. In the end, he slept together with the latter, and met with a furious Takumi the next morning who kept going on and on about how he took "Tetsuya's purity" along with some other rubbish he didn't actually care about, much less remember it.
Right now at this very moment, Tetsuya looked just as broken as he was a few years ago. Yuki guessed the boy who he recently hooked up with was just as a bastard as the first and second, and was trying so hard to not beat the shit out of those so-called Miracles. He took his phone and called the other members, telling them about his situation. After twenty minutes or so, a limousine stopped in front of his house and Yuki guessed that it was the others; he was right.
The first person who barged in his house without even knocking was Takumi. Normally, the only child would sneer, telling them how it was rude and that it wasn't even their house – but this was different; he didn't have any rights to say anything. Not now, not when Tetsuya was so broken, not when the strongest person he knows is at his weakest, not when he was about to reach his breaking point.
Not now.
"Tetsuya," Takumi gently called, slowly walked towards his younger twin – kneeling down and cupping both of his cheeks with his hands. He wrapped his arms around him, letting his younger brother let out all the pent up frustration he had build up inside of him for weeks. Takumi felt himself shaking; he couldn't take it, to break his twin to this point? To see him in a crying mess? He had enough.
Before he opened his mouth to say anything, Seiji tapped on his shoulder and shook his head. The leader of the group immediately knew what he was going to say; I know you're angry, — I am too — but this isn't the time to let your emotions take over. Tetsuya needs you, give him that.
Later, Tetsuya fell asleep and the group stayed at Yuki's house for the night.
This beautiful lie, My one last lie to you, Even if it hurts, I hide myself under a mask to hide the truth.
The next day after school, the tealnette had to stay back because of the usual basketball practice. Honestly, without Aomine and/or Kise to pass to, he had no reason to go. He didn't have a partner to pass to, and since Akashi literally forbade him to practice dribbling and/or shooting, there was really nothing he could do other than stamina building practice – and there was no way in Hell he's going through that.
Kuroko sat down on the floor, his back leaning against the wall of the first gymnasium. He looked a bit out of it, eyes staring at the orange ball that rested between the palm of his hands, memories of playing together with Aomine and Kise flashed in his head, the time when he passed the ball to the ganguro, then watch in awe as he dunked the ball in one go. Or the time when he passed the ball and he heard a squeaky "Thanks, Kurokocchi!" before hearing the ball hit the rim of the hoop and going in-- Kuroko shook his head, No, this isn't the time to think about them. Tetsuya, just stop it.
Meanwhile, the Center of the Teiko basketball team sat on the bench, licking the lollipop he had bought from the school's convenience store earlier whilst looking around the first gym; his gaze landed on the bluenette whose head hung low and a basketball was tightly gripped between his two palms. He got up and walked towards the Phantom Sixth Man, stopping in front of him. "Kuro-chin~" He sing-sang, crouching down in front of the boy.
Kuroko, who was  still in his dilemma, jolted just slightly as he heard the nickname. He slowly lifted his head, staring at the teen who was hovering over him. "Ah, I didn't see you there, Murasakibara-kun," He tilted his head down slightly and apologetically. "Is there something you need?"
Murasakibara looked at his teammate, knelt down and slapped the ball out of the tealnette's hands — as if it was a steal — and pulled (dragged) him out of the gym. Kuroko could only stare at the taller figure in front of him, curious to why he even did those things. After all, Murasakibara was the last person he expected to do something so suddenly. But then, even if he resisted, there was no way he could away from the tight grip on his wrist.
After almost a five minute walk, they arrived at the third gym. The taller teen pulled the other inside, leaning against the wall as he hugged Kuroko tightly. The tealnette was about to ask Murasakibara what was wrong, but.. "Someone made Kuro-chin sad." Atsushi answered the unspoken question, running a hand through the blue locks.
"Kuro-chin's eyes looks dull as of late. Usually, they'd have the spark that would motivate anyone who looks into them – but now, they look different. It's like.. they have a look of longing of some sort." Murasakibara commented, though he wasn't even sure if he even managed to voice his thoughts correctly. Then, he let go of the bluenette and handed him a lollipop. "It's vanilla. You like vanilla sweets, right?"
Kuroko nodded as a response and unwrapped the sweet, closing his eyes as he licked it. "..Thank you," he murmured, looking to the side. Murasakibara hummed and ruffled his head, though his hand was slapped away by the smaller teen. "We might not agree on some things, but I like Kuro-chin; and I'll crush anyone who makes Kuro-chin sad."
For once, Kuroko was grateful he came to practice that day.
The two ended up staying there chit-chatting until practice ended. They did practice a little, but that was something that wasn't worth mentioning about. Kuroko had learned things that he didn't know about Murasakibara; like how he was the youngest child in his family and yet the tallest, how he was actually good in making pastry rather than cooking and a lot more. Murasakibara on the other hand, found out that Kuroko actually had a twin and used to have a dog, and his favourite subject was actually Music, not Literature. "Then why didn't you join the Orchestra Club or the Music Club?" Murasakibara had questioned him. "Well, I made a promise with someone. A promise we swore we would fulfill," the boy answered.
The two went back home together but parted ways soon after, Murasakibara saying he wanted to stop by the convenience store on the way back home. When Kuroko was sure no one was watching him, he made a quick call for his driver to come and get him. During the whole ride home, he wondered if Takumi was still bothered because of yesterday. They didn't speak much before they went to school since all of them needed to get ready.
Staring outside the window, a sigh escaped his lips. Takumi was right, dating the Miracles was a wrong idea. His older brother always had this kind of hatred towards his light ― well, former light ― before though it wasn't as big compared to his dislike to the blond model. I have to apologise to Takumi when I get back.
After a fifteen minute drive, he arrived at the estate. Kuroko thanked the driver and went inside, his arrival welcomed by his personal butler; Aki. "You've finally come home, young master."
"Please don't make it sound like I left for a year without any notice, Aki. And cut the 'young master' nonsense, we've been friends since we were kids and hearing you call me young master sends a shiver down my spine," Tetsuya frowned, the man in his early twenties laughed. "Alright, alright. I'll stop. Your brother is upstairs drowning himself with work again, by the way."
"That good for nothing.." Tetsuya sighed, taking off his blazer and handing it to Aki along with his school bag. He made his way to his brother's bedroom, opening the door without even bother to knock. "Hey," he called, "are you really that stupid to drown yourself in that rubbish?"
Takumi was silent as he looked into the documents in his hand. "Tetsuya, be a dear and help me with this rubbish, then. Our lovely father  wants me to send these via email by tomorrow afternoon. I'll have to be his proxy for the red carpet next week, so I don't have too much time in my hands to play around."
"Don't we have practice tomorrow?" The younger Kuroko frowned; well, his father had some loose screws. "Alright, I'll help. What do I need to do?" Takumi began to sort out the documents and handed them to Tetsuya, and the phantom turned to do it in his room. Opening the door, he stopped his tracks before calling his brother's name. "Takumi?"
"Yes?" The twin stopped typing and took off his glasses, turning to the door. "Tetsuya?"
"Thank you, for letting me help you. And I'm sorry for not listening to your advises."
Takumi sat there stunned; did Tetsuya literally thanked  him? Before he could utter a reply, the younger brother had bid him goodnight and left the bedroom.
It's alright if you leave my side, I just want you to live your life, Oh I'm, I'm a beautiful, I'm a beautiful liar..
As days passed, Kuroko became busier and busier until he didn't have time for hangouts anymore. With his schedule packed, he didn't even have time to think about anything else. His parents were coming back from Australia in two more weeks, his debut as an idol was right after the Winter Cup, and the Winter Cup was six weeks away. Of course, he had severed ties with Aomine, Kise and Midorima; using his misdirection to run away from them. A coward, he knew. But since they didn't need him, then he didn't need them.
He had been practicing with the other members of the basketball club just for fun, although he didn't feel the same excitement he used to feel whenever he practiced with the Generation of Miracles. But since he didn't want Akashi to say that he was slaking off or anything, he had to accept it.
He was currently taking a break from practice, air he desperately needed rushing in and out of his lungs. He noticed Murasakibara was just sitting on the benches and was about to ask him to join them when the titan suddenly got up and left the gym. Kuroko assumed he wanted to buy more snacks, so he decided to leave him be and just ask him later when he comes back.
He didn't.
After a few days, the two started to get.. distant. Every time Kuroko tried to talk to him, Murasakibara would just shrug it off and walk away. He wondered if he did anything wrong, so he asked someone who he really could trust; Momoi Satsuki. Momoi was the manager of the team, so of course she'd know something like this, right?
"Eh, about Mukkun?" The manager turned her head from the papers she was reading, now looking straight into the ocean blue eyes she came to adore since their first meeting. "Yes, he's not acting himself lately. Do you know why?" Kuroko asked, and the girl frowned, crossing her arms to think of anything that might have triggered him to skipping practice. "I'm not sure myself, Tetsu-kun, but.. He's moving to Akita after school ends, and.." She turned away, hesitating to say it; "He told Akashi-kun that he was going to stop coming to practices because of Aomine-kun – Tetsu-kun, are you alright?"
Tetsuya remained unmoved as he stared at the floor, the words from the girl replaying in his head again and again.
Moving? Akita? Stop coming to practice?
Why?
He thanked the manager and ran to the first place he thought where the basketball player would be; the convenience store. It was the store they all used to go as a team, where Kuroko met Momoi, where they celebrated Kise getting into the first string. As soon as he arrived, he found the other coming out of the store, a box of Maiubo in his hands.
"Why?" He asked. "Why didn't you tell me? Aren't we friends?" Kuroko was now on the verge of crying. Everyone was leaving. His friends, his family,
Everyone.
"Because it wasn't important." Was Atsushi's reply. "It's not like we're never going to meet again. We'll meet again next year in the Inter High and Winter Cup." He said, opening the box and stuffing the maiubo inside his mouth.
"But I'm not--" he stopped talking, taking a few steps back. Hot tears were now falling down his cheeks. He felt dizzy. His chest was hurting him. He couldn't breathe right. His heart began to throb, it hurt him so much to the point he fell to his knees.
You're not important.
Everyone abandoned you.
No one will be there for you.
You will always be alone.
Always.
Just before he blacked out, he heard someone calling him from the behind. He knew it wasn't Murasakibara, because he was in front of him and
Was
Walking
Away..?
I think it's time for me to give my heart to you, The fact that we loved is still beautiful.
