14. How do their personalities complement each other? How do they clash?

Why would you pick a question that makes me feel exactly like when someone asks me to summarise my book? 😆 Yeah, I did say have no mercy... I'll try to pick some key point that is not too obvious...

I like to contrast them as Momoi having a tendency to live a bit in a fairytale and Aomine to live in a nightmare. This is where they both clash and complement each other. They can both make stupid choices, Momoi because sometimes she can ignore information that doesn't fit her fanciful construction of reality, and Aomine because he can make decisions according to the worst possibility instead of the likeliest one. But they both also have a very good tolerance for each other's weaknesses and stick through them with the other, because they know they can't fix these things for each other, they can only be there.

20. Choose a song that perfectly describes their relationship.

Two Pieces by Demi Lovato is so good you can almost start to fool yourself that it was written about them.

26. What are their vices?

Like... In personality or actual bad habits? I'll go with the latter. I think Aomine will drink too much in university. 😅 And Momoi will probably develop some stress related unhealthy habits at some point but I'm not sure what they would be yet.

58. Who's more likely to hold a grudge after an argument?

Momoi. She's prone to building some resentment because while she can get snappy and demanding in her way, she doesn't voice her feelings and needs honestly enough and will go too far carrying someone's burdens, waiting for her turn to have her needs met, without actually communicating them clearly enough. Can fall into the trap of expecting people to read her mind.

Azumi/Akashi

For anyone who happens to be reading this and hasn't been reading my fics: Azumi is an OC (originally created by my ex but we developed her together so now we have our own versions) who becomes Rakuzan's manager during Akashi's second year, and eventually they start dating too.

14. How do their personalities complement each other? How do they clash?

Azumi is very independent in a positive way, has a good sense of self worth and is generally internally motivated. She's not someone Akashi needs to look after, but she also isn't someone to pull away from people or to be uncooperative. Being with her gives Akashi an opportunity to let go of some control of situations because he can trust her to know what she's doing as well, sometimes even better than he does. Azumi enjoys all the benefits of having had a stable and happy childhood, and while this gives Akashi a window into a different life, it's also something that makes it hard for them to understand each other sometimes. Azumi can also lack grit because she's used to things being relatively painless and sort of medium hard at most. Being with Akashi gives her an opportunity to push herself further than before. She is also quite proud and prejudiced, makes quick judgements of people, one of which is Akashi. She learns to be more curious and understanding with him. They clash in the most traditional way in arguments, because both can be a bit unreasonable and black and white thinkers, who have a tendency to believe they are always right. Both are also leaning towards introversion, so sometimes they aren't the best at talking. But they have similarly oriented interests and intelligence, in part overlapping and in part complementary, so they become a power couple pretty easily. Their challenge is being emotionally open, but each also has what will push the other to want to work on that.

Skin and Bones by Beth Crowley is very accurate. (Although I know it's made for a specific fictional couple, but who cares.)

26. What are their vices?

Azumi can be quite hedonistic so she's probably tried all bad habits possible at some point, but she wouldn't get stuck with one bad habit, so I guess it's the need to try them all that is her vice. Or maybe it's "therapy shopping". Yeah, that one has stuck. I think Akashi will pick up some bad habits from her. xD

58. Who's more likely to hold a grudge after an argument?

Azumi is more likely to hold a shorter and more acute grudge, you can't really miss her being mad, because her anger is more on the hot side. Akashi is more likely to hold a low-key grudge that you'll only realise after a while when you're beginning to wonder why he's so cold.

Aki/Yagi

Soo... How do I explain this to anyone who wasn't there for my eight years and million words. 😅 It seems that some fans don't even know who Yagi is in canon. (One of Seirin's new first years.) Although that doesn't really matter because I interpreted what little was revealed about his personality in the most counterintuitive way and turned what seemed to be true about him on its head to the point where he's almost indistinguishable from an OC. And then Aki is my Finnish-Japanese OC who joins Seirin on KagaKuro & co's third year, (though he is their age). I had zero plans to ship either of these characters with anyone. However, shit happens...

14. How do their personalities complement each other? How do they clash?

They do nothing but clash at first. Yagi is kind of disillusioned with Seirin and being difficult with everyone, (mostly silent protest). He has a real knack for making himself the victim in everything, while Aki is a literal sunshine, seems unbothered by everything and takes nothing personally. He thinks it's fun to poke Yagi and see what happens. Yagi is having real issues and doesn't feel like anyone is taking him seriously (except Kuroko who just does it wrong but I digress) so Aki is definitely not helping. However, he is actually trying to get Yagi out of his shell, because he cares, (more about the general atmosphere than Yagi at that point) he just has this pushy-friendly way about it that lacks finesse to really get through to someone as in his very complicated feelings as Yagi. Also, Aki's personality is not truly as easy as it seems at first glance. But they both have a geeky side, and once things calm down a little they find out they share more interests than they thought. They have a sort of wolf & rabbit dynamic going on which gets explored more when they develop a tabletop RPG together... Well, let's just say that maybe the things that made them so incompatible in the beginning might under the right circumstances be exactly what they've been looking for. Maybe the wolf doesn't just enjoy chasing the rabbit, maybe the rabbit enjoys the game too. ;) <- Yes that's a hint. (There's a ton more to why they find some things in each other they never really found a match for before but it's hard to explain and most of it isn't written yet either.)

20. Choose a song that perfectly describes their relationship.

I never get tired of imagining them singing The Best Worst Mistake by Jason Tam and Anthony Rapp, even though I have no clue about the musical it's from.

26. What are their vices?

I bet Yagi will become a stress smoker at some point. For Aki I feel like I could count getting into verbal fights for the thrill of it as one.

100% Yagi.

“Jeez, Satsuki, you could be more careful, y'know,” Aomine gripes as he wraps medical tape around the gauze over the burn on Momoi's finger. Momoi's lower lip juts out in a pout. “And you could be nicer to me, Dai-chan! I didn’t try to burn myself���” Aomine grunts. “I know that! Just tryin’ to make a point.” Once the tape is secure, Momoi turns her hand around to observe Aomine’s application. His technique could use some work, but it does the job. Momoi sighs and stares at her finger. “I guess we should go out for food, huh?” she mutters.

When the night sky is clearest as ever, the moon is waning, and the chill breeze wafts through the window curtains, the stars seem to burn brighter across the heavens in her eyes.

By the window in her dimly lit room, Satsuki looks up at the shining flecks in the sky, marking each and every of these stars in her wandering mind. Some shine on their own, some among others. And then, somewhere in what seems to be the darkest part of the skies, there are two stars twinkling side by side. 

Has everything that happened between them written in the stars?

Having met as cheerful and wide-eyed children, to being a part of one another’s highs and lows until high school days, to suddenly having to face the bittersweet truth that the two of them have already grown apart.

Is it even of any use to explain such things through planets and stars? Up to this day, Satsuki can’t find any words to reason through it.

After all, the truth was a big wave hovering over them ever since, waiting for the exact moment to crash down and drown them with the earth-shattering reality that perhaps everything is too late.

And yet she still can’t help herself from looking for his deep blue eyes whenever she comes across a friend from middle school and high school. Her head unconsciously whips towards the way where there are sounds of a basketball dribbling and shoes thudding across the pavement. Everything seems to remind her.

As if she can ever forget. Satsuki remembers his mother telling her that God will always listen to her calls and pain when she had been crying about a guy in their family living room. She remembers how he frowned visibly at his mother’s sudden intrusion and how his reaction got her to laugh for the first time that day. 

She remembers everything. And yet God had seemingly forgotten what to do when she was praying for him at death’s door.

It is one thing losing someone so dear to you and another when it all happens amidst the rough.

Questions are left unanswered. Bleeding wounds are gouged out. There is no one to argue with anymore. No one to give the silent treatment to. No one to resolve things with.

And so they say that time heals all. Years have already passed since she lost him. It might have gotten easier as the pain has become a numb, hollow sensation. Some wounds have become scars, while some open out of nowhere, leaving her to change the bloodied bandages on her own.

But being reminded by the stars is not her reopening another. She believes she will get there someday; Satsuki believes that somewhere in the stars out there, their paths will cross again, and that thought is enough.

note : i think i'm back? sorry if the writing seemed kinda rough since i wrote it to get myself back into writing (while also listening to niki's new album !!) i have so much in store because of the ideas ive been getting from songs and real life experiences (lmao) and i'm excited to share them with yall : )

I was annoyed at myself for not giving enough love to my precious daughter Satsuki so I started another series of drawings with her wearing a yukata. But since i'm probably not going to finish them soon here some blurry sneak peeks of the sketches to gauge your interest

I started with Kuroko just because i wanted to draw something blue and pink with my favorite ships.

Then my Akashi brainrot took control so i had to draw one with him too

And in the end i thought it was weird to draw one for AkaMomo and KuroMomo but not for my favorite Momoi ship so i started one with AoMomo too.

I'll probably do one with MomoRiko too.

Momoi ships tier list

I'm a AoMomo truther, If Aomomo has a million fans, I'm one of them. If Aomomo has one fan, that one is me. If Aomomo has no fan, I'm dead. (i lied, i will ship them in my grave)

First of all, the childhood friends to lovers ? Perfect. All their scenes in replace where it's like 'Momoi say she loves Kuroko but isn't she in love with Aomine instead?' EVEN AKASHI SHIP THEM ! I can't imagine that the guy who is so good at prediction would be wrong about them. And Kise ship them too (to be fair he also ship KuroMomo but still)

The CD Drama where Kise help Momoi to prepare her perfect date with Kuroko and Aomine is there. And the whole days it's very clear that he already act like her boyfriend, he know everything about her, says she is always beautiful, finish her food because he knows it's too spicy for her. Aomine's type is literally 'someone exactly like Momoi'.

I can't imagine a future where they don't end up together, maybe not in high school because they are so used to being together that they won't realize their feelings yet, but they will definitely get together at some point (Even their family ship them, her grandmother even sewed him a yukata for the summer festival).

For Akashi i already talked a lot about them but yeah AkaMomo is an awesome ship too.

KuroMomo is cute, but i'm gonna be honest with you, 75% of the reason i ship them is because their hair color looks so good together. Yeah i know it's a weak reason but baby blue and soft pink ? The aesthetic is flawless. And of course they are great friends too. And Momoi's crush is adorable.

I like MidoMomo for their friendship too, but what sold the ship for me was the Summer Festival chapter where Midorima comforted Momoi because she was worried that all the weird guys hitting on her made her a nuisance to her friends as they couldn't fully enjoy the festival.

MomoRiko who doesn't like rivalry ships? They saw each other as rivals and equals and treated each other as their most worthy opponent and in their interviews in Kuro Fes they kept talking about each other. Plus, they pay way too much attention to each other's bodies for it to be purely platonic. I loved seeing their duo in extra play.

For Imayoshi, Momoi's type is someone mysterious, and that applies so well to Imayoshi (he even hinted that he had ties to some shady people at one point). They are both very intelligent and work so well together for the team. I love all their interactions, even the most mundane.

KiMomo is really cute and I love their friendship, but I only ship them a little because they are perfect besties in my eyes. Same for Takao but I can't even ship him a little, maybe because they have less interaction?

*They will never get rid of each other if it's up to me. I just want to write them through all the hardships and joys of life. I'm sure they will have crisis or two but ultimately they are forever. If they were going to get sick of each other they would have already.

*They are so my thing. I've always liked childhood friends to lovers, and just their personalities and them as characters together, I love to see and imagine them going from that simple straightforward childhood friendship, to slightly awkward teen friendship where they start to realise their feelings towards each other, to early stages of dating which allows them to become more simple and affectionate with each other again, to a more grownup relationship, to a crisis where they deal with the fact they always knew each other and ended up together kind of early, to ultimately coming out stronger together and so on.

*I mean it sounded like Fujimaki wanted to fix-it-fic them too, with that "Momoi says she likes Kuroko but how does she feel about Aomine?" and stuff.

*I do think about them everyday since they're a major part of my longfic even if they're not the main focus.

*I have used them for too much comedic element in my story but it's only because they are usually seen from Kuroko's or Kagami's perspective, and okay, also because I can't not see Aomine as hilarious a lot of the time, but I want to express how deeply I actually think about them more in the future.

*They are SO gonna get married it's just a formality really.

*They definitely have a lot of make up sex. They're just so the type.
