one panic attack and breathing excercise later,,,,,,,,, i think i need to write some of my thoughts down before moving on

first of all, as i said in the notes earlier i honestly should've expected something like this to happen. even if the king sounded pathetic each time we fought him, i should've kept in mind how powerful he is and that he still froze a bunch of people in time and was going to do that with the whole country, no matter the reason. but the most important thing to recognize is probably the fact that perceived emotional weakness didn't mean that it would be possible to convince him, didn't mean that he wasn't cruel. it's not like anything could've been changed with my knowledge, i just feel silly for walking right into that with no suspicions. well, lesson learned, can't stop the king with words

second of all - the king was talking about something called wish craft, saying how he smells the sweet scent right before that, and claiming that sif's using this craft right after. i guess this is what it's actually about, huh? not time craft, but wish craft? while i still know nothing about it the only assumption i can make is the symbolic one - you know, wishing upon a star? jhhgfk

but could sif really wish for something that would cause the loop, or is it someone else's wishing's fault, or both? even if sif could, i doubt they'd be able to remember. i mean, they congratulated themselves on reaching the 20th loop at the 24th, and i don't even know if it's a bug or a feature💀

third of all - no matter how much i pretend like i'm unfazed i think i still need to address that. HOLY SHIT was i terrified for a second there. especially for those few seconds when i thought i actually WILL have to watch everyone get violently murdered, with no easy way to loop back in sight...... the moment i saw the unusually big-fonted laughter i knew i did something wrong......... it was almost a feeling of amusement with how much i did not expect any of this to happen, with how unbelievably cruel the scene had became in such a short time, the kind of terror that you don't believe at first because well there's no way, right?

but i guess this wish craft is really a thing sif can control, since thinking about looping very hard really did loop us back! i don't think this was like any other loop, it was definitely directly from a wish. the king said that he "wished" to be like this as well, does that mean he wields wish craft rather than time craft, or perhaps both?? lots to think about

Holy shit this ep was great. i know that Dee gone a bit too far in this ep, but i can't be mad at him cause he said it himself early in the ep that he doesn't like to lose and he admited that its not a part of him that he think highly of. and after so many loses relentlessly pursuing Yak was probably the only thing he felt he in control with. and at the end he stopped and realized that its his own problems and it's not fair to drag Yak into it. what he did was not good but it's very human and it make me like him more as a character, flaws and all.

Anyways, if this has been said before, ignore it for I live under a rock. So anyways, I have seen some people say that Ivan is dressed up like a groom while Till is dressed up like he's attending a funeral(all black). I have also seen someone say that Ivan wearing all white is like a corpse being dressed up all white.

Now that I think about it, Ivan dressed up like a dead person and Till dressed up like attending a funeral makes sense. Because, Ivan dies at the end and Till is standing in front of Ivan's corpse. People stand in front of the dead body(well, in front of the coffin their dead body is in) and look at the photo to pay respect to the dead in a funeral. That's what people do when they attend a funeral, yeah? And Till is standing in front of Ivan's corpse while looking at his face. So, in a way, Till is attending Ivan's funeral at the end. If we are to compare it to a normal funeral-

Till looking at Ivan's face: People looking at the dead's photo(By the way, if there's any inaccuracy here regarding the funeral thing, correct me because we don't usually have funerals in my place💀).

Also, MiziSua and IvanTill parallels real. In Round 1, both Mizi and Sua were wearing black and white respectively. Sua is the one who dies, so the funeral thing could be, by some extension, applied to them as well.

In both of the above pictures, Sua and Ivan look relived in a way. Why? Because, they know that they lost and their loved ones(Mizi and Till) are going to live.

I have nothing much to say about these two pictures, but I like the difference in their reactions here. Mizi's smile going to a blank one when Sua dies in front of her and Till's face being that of shock. Mizi thought that both her and Sua were going to win if they did a duet instead of a dual, but it didn't work at the end. Till's expression being a shocked one is interesting. He was probably shocked because of the fact that Ivan actually helped him instead of killing him. As many people have already said, and I would also like to say- Ivan was simply putting up an act of attacking Till so he would be disqualified and lose, so Till could win and live. He kissed Till as that was his final wish before dying.

I love this one specific difference between MiziSua and IvanTill rounds though. In Round 1, Clematis has this sort of sad tone to it. Just like how MiziSua's love is. Their love was mutual, but deep down, they both might have known that one of them will die in the future and the other will live. Them trying to cheat the system by singing a dual instead of a duet is more sad(?). And how Mizi looked so shock because she was certain that both of them were going to live. Anyways, moving on to IvanTill. I love how their song has this sort of vibe that exactly matches their love(idk how to explain the vibe or name it, help). Their one-sided love from Ivan. Till didn't reciprocate the love. Their song has this sort of tragic tone to it(not like the tragic that Clematis has) and the raining in the middle of their round adds more to the vibe. The vibe that matches their love. A tragic love that will forever be one-sided and never reciprocated.

All Ivan did his entire life was to care for Till, man😔. From the flashbacks in Round 6, it could be said that they were not just acquaintances, but friends. And at the end when Ivan falls on the ground, smiling even though he's bleeding, Till looks shocked. He could be shocked not only because of the reason I said above, but also because he cares for Ivan as well. I MEAN, LOOK AT THE FINAL FRAME OF THEIR ROUND WHERE TILL IS LOOKING DOWN AT IVAN'S CORPSE. BRO WAS ALREADY FEELING S#ICIDAL AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ROUND AND NOW HIS FRIEND DYING IN FRONT OF HIM WHILE HIS CRUSH IS MISSING(well, missing to his and the others' knowledge)????????

ok yeah technically im not doing any kind of OCtober official prompt list but this specific one inspired me to infodump abt my angel coded girlie so we’re here anyway and you’re coming down with me. hand in unlovable hand.

OKAY SO this post is about Featherbreeze from my warriors ocverse StarClan’s Chosen (no relation to the MAProject it’s been called that since 2014)

Detailed Backstory Infodump TM below the cut but the symbolism part! is that she is extremely angel coded. Featherbreeze spends most of the story being a guardian angel type character to Owlgaze and Robinwing (my blorbos of all time forever) by giving them everything that she couldn’t have. And she’s a Fallen Angel in that she gets kicked out of heaven for it. and that she likes going against cat heaven’s rules in general bc medicine cats not being allowed to date is stupid and not being allowed to love a cat from another clan is stupid and people should be able to do whatever they want forever!! so her main deal is using her starclan powers to be d the rules around her personal favorite little guys bc of the injustice she experienced in a similar situation. so this girlie was medicine cat of her clan (not specifying which one bc baby neon apparently gave her the same prefix as the clan she was in?? And that’s confusing???? we do our best) but could not deny she was bit of a hopeless romantic…she ended up falling Hard for this warrior from another clan named Darkpool and they had a cute little secret forbidden romance. like he would bring her pretty shells and smooth stones and feathers and things he would find on patrol. everything was chill until eventually they were found out and punished for breaking the code and (I can never decide if this is related to the punishment or not) Feather’s tragic death in a raid on her clan 😔

so now our girl Featherbreeze is in starclan and despite it being cat heaven nobody there really…likes her…bc they know what she did technically broke the code so even if she didn’t like. do anything bad enough to get into cat hell they’re still kinda rude about it generally. she spends most of her time watching the living cats like they’re tv lmao. speaking of that- after many many moons she notices two young medicine cats Owlpaw(gaze) and Robinpaw(wing) having some kinda attraction and she sees herself in them. and she’s still really hung up on how unfair it is that she should be punished for literally just kissing a cat from another clan (especially while being a medicine cat what the heck?!) and these two should be able to have what she couldn’t, dammit! so she starts setting into motion a plan to fake a prophecy with her own two hands that will signal to them that it’s ok for them to date they have “starclans blessing” or whatever. and it goes really well! and from that point on she goes out of her way to use her powers to give them their own secluded little dream space so they can have dates and stuff in peace without endangering anyone irl. and their relationship starts really flourishing from these meetings!! even if it does kinda lead to Owl sleeping a lot of the time bc he’d rather hang out in the dream space than like. being a real person. but whatever <3

unfortunately there’s a little snitch (Pebblesplash) who has it out for Feather and gets the word out somehow and that gets the dream meetings shut down and Feather ultimately kicked out of starclan to become a wandering spirit…that sucks….she wanders around for a bit trying to find out if anyone can even see her and tries to contact Owl and Robin but they in fact, cannot. they end up meeting in secret irl since they miss each other and she watches over them still. this eventually leads to Many Problems but that’s a whole other post. tysm for reading please tell me if u did bc im not convinced anyone wants to hear abt it lmao

Okay, so first off, I haven’t seen many Fem Lambs, and I absolutely adore writing fems, so my Lamb will be She/They. I think I’ll be sticking with ‘The Lamb’ as her name as well.

As for the cultists, I’ll be revamping characters from a (very, I’m talking 2012) old Original Work I have. I never posted anything, but I feel like now is finally the time to let them shine!

There’s Anya the harlequin rabbit person, Reiketsuna the snow leopard, and Daichi the bat. Those are the main ones I want to revamp, especially Anya, as she has always been my favorite.

Of course there’s also ‘The Wolf’ I mentioned in the other posts. Something something, a sweet lamb comes across an dangerous, injured wolf and nurses it back to health. Undying loyalty and all that, yknow? I’ll probably be basing him off of Hotaru, the wolf person. Might change a few things though as his personality and the Wolf I want to make are vastly different…

AOUGH. And i really want a ferret…. They’re so cute😔 WHAT ABOUT A SALAMANDER?????

I’m also playing with the idea of adding Hoshihiko and Koichiko, (the fox and weird half dragon half priest person … thing. Respectively.) but I’d need to majorly rehaul them, seeing as they were the main hero and villain of that story… idk though, maybe I can work them in? Augh.

I also want to put more focus on how the cultists are, indeed, animals. They act, think, eat, play, forge bonds, and live, in vastly different ways; And I think it would really fun to explore that. Foxes are mostly solitary unless rearing young, and then they form what’s called a ‘skulk’. Wolves always in packs and form deep family connections. Snow leopards are always solitary, roaming as ‘the ghosts of the mountains’. Sheep have large flocks and a leading sheep or shepherd.

Sheep can not be solitary or else they experience extreme distress. A sheep will follow their leader even when being led into danger and death, that is how deep the instinct to be follow is…

The only reason I didn't try it yesterday is because when I opened the bottle of ink it started to spill everywhere D:

My theory is that there was ink residue on the cap from probably shaking it on the way to my delivery, so when I opened it what was left on the cap ran down the outside of the bottle, so yes, my hands were unfortunately stained with ink, but they were the only ones affected since my desk was easily cleaned and my clothes were not even touched, so it wasn't so tragic after all <D

And that's all for today, nothing very interesting has happened to me more than this morning I woke up with a terrible headache, but it is understandable after a week where the most I slept per day was about...three hours maximum ☠️

For the 2 ships thing: Bruce/Talia or Tygra/Cheetara?

Well, I see I've played my hand if my weaknesses can be so easily identified. Rip my heart out while you're at it, why don'tcha?

The thing is Brutalia and Tychee both represent two very different flavours that I love in shipping dynamics.

I love angst. I LOVE it. I thrive on it. I'm also a sucker for star-crossed lovers – my favourite movie was and is Pocahontas; this was inevitable. And Brutalia is a healthy mix of both. They're just so fucking tragic. Because they genuinely love each other but they can NEVER be together. They can snatch little moments of love and happiness here and there, but they can never bask in it, never live in it. That's partly because of the status quo (even though Talia's has changed fucking three times, which is like a comics-faux pas, smh), partly because of the cyclical nature of comics and the fickleness and shittyness of writers, but also just partly because of their in-universe situations. They love each other. They can't be together. Too bad, so sad. It's fucking delicious.

Brutalia is my favourite comic book couple and one of my favourite couples of all time (possibly even second?). But Tychee all but changed my brain chemistry as an eleven year old. It was actually the reason I even watched ThunderCats in the first place. They featured ninth (way too high) on Lewtoons' (miss him 😔) Top 10 Cartoon Couples video and honestly tween me just thought they looked really aesthetically pleasing together. Aesthetically pleasing enough that I checked out ThunderCats 2011 on a whim. Which became my new favourite show. Until I watched the original, at which point, it got bumped down to my second favourite show. Over a decade later, ThunderCats is still my favourite franchise. Thanks, Chad. Anyway, point is: I came into the show already rooting for them and I also came into the show already knowing how the love triangle would play out, so I probably wasn't as blindsided as some other people were. But boy, did they exceed my expectations.

Another thing I'm a sucker for is couples whose relationships are based on loyalty and friendship, rather than just chemistry and Tygra and Cheetara just THRIVE in that space. I know I said I love angst, but I can appreciate some fluff when it's got some substance to it. And Tygra and Cheetara just genuinely bring out the best in each other and clearly make each other happy and I just think that's fucking beautiful. I know a lot of people dislike the „I have to stick with him” scene in New Alliances and I'll admit I have some misgivings about it myself, but I'd be lying if I said a considerable part of me didn't love it as well. And don't even get me started on the cave scene: „You're fast enough to get out of here. Go!” „You know I'd never leave you behind!” It’s the LOYALTY. FUCK. They are just. a healthy, functional, compatible, supportive, loyal pair and what more can you honestly ask for? Also, I love meet-cutes and didn't Tychee just have a meet-cute for the ages.

As for their relationship in the original show and the comic books, I love that just as much. Maybe even slightly more, since the friendship aspect of their relationship is way more pronounced and friends-to-lovers is another trope I love. Of course they were never confirmed in the show, but. My dudes. The vibes were there. One of my favourite moments is when a villain's got Cheetara trapped and calls her helpless and Tygra saves her and she calmly replies with „But not friendless. Thanks, Tygra.” Shoutout to the reboot for continuing the tradition of Tygra and Cheetara constantly saving each other to the point of ridiculousness. And yeah, the comics didn't do a lot for them, but I love WilyCat and WilyCub and I'm happy they all got to be a happy little family :).

Tldr; Brutalia has my whole heart. But Tychee has my heart and my soul and has already rotted away most of my brain. They're my favourite couple of all time, in anything, ever. Thanks for your question. Sorry about your braincells if you read all that ^.^’

I KNOOWOWWWWW listen it is driving me crazy i just can't handle how in media, this story is one of the most intense stories of all time. i was talking about this at breakfast with a friend but like this is unFUCKING BELIEVABLE they're so FRUSTRATING. and i get it, like it's hard to communicate. it's hard to have emotions and feel emotions and like being vulnerable is the worst. but it's also like...... tough? like oh well! do it anyway!!!! and that's easier said than done, I know that. but recently I took a chance that really paid off sooooo they could have too!!!!

lol no, it's just so frustrating, but in a way that I think makes them So. Classic. They never go out of style, TRULY. When someone makes a biopic about them, it's going to stop the whole world. they will go down in history as one of the most classic hollywood stories when people fully understand what actually happened. how their statuses independently as The Biggest Popstar In The World contributed to the pain, how if it had worked, they would have been royalty together, how their ages played into this, how gender played into this, how the larries contributed, how taylor's people pleasing played into it, how his relationship with celebrity and fame changing played into it...

all of it is just The Epitome of classic hollywood tragic lovestory. and they're legends. to me, they're legends.

Gallavich Questionnaire

Thank you @energievie for tagging me to do this! I get too unhinged when talking about these two boys, so warning for very elaborate ramblings 🙏

1. What’s a fic you’ve read more than once?

This fic is the prime example of why you should write a fic even if you think nobody’s going to read it, because it’s my favorite gallavich fic even though most people don’t want to read about them getting a divorce. But I do, okay, because a normal break-up doesn’t cut it (especially since we already see those in canon, but post-canon is up to our interpretation) and it’s just more serious. I think they will work out their issues before it gets too far in canon but it just hurts so fucking good. The reason for their divorce is so realistic too, in fact it’s not one but a lot of problems piled on top of each other. They think it’s only going to hurt everyone involved including their children, which is arguably true in context, but they can’t resist each other and it’s this back and forth push. There’s parallels to canon, the writing is so good without being drawn out, and there’s so much nuance, emotion, and subtly hinting at something beneath the surface. The pining is just delicious because it’s not “I don’t know if you feel this way about me” or “I’m not allowed to be with you,” it’s “I want to be with you so badly but I’m trying to resist that because it’s going to hurt everyone.” Then the trying so hard not to care because “we’re over, but you’re in trouble and I’m trying to move on and I’m never going to love someone else like I love you” 😭😭😭 anyway I actually had to stop myself from rereading too often for comfort because it was too much LOL

the author said they were going to update it January of this year so I’ll be patiently waiting 😔

3. What's a headcanon you can't stop thinking about?

You know that post abt how when you're sleepy you imagine your favs sleepy? I keep imagining Ian wrapping their comforter around Mickey like a cocoon when he has a nightmare and cuddling him, it's cute

4. What's a fanart you love looking at?

5. What’s an idea you’d love to create if you had the time/inspiration?

I want to draw a character concept art sheet for their outfits/weapons/mechanics for kinda a zombie apocalypse AU. Designing that sounds fun but I need to research more

The jealousy trope, especially jealous Mickey. I guess in other fandoms, people write jealousy in a really possessive, cringy way. Not saying gallavich aren't possessive as fuck but at least they earned it, you know? There's too many ships where one of them is breathing down the other person's love interest's neck but they don't even know you exist, like calm down 😭 Meanwhile gallavich tease and try to get each other to admit it first, and Mickey is biting his tongue trying not to say anything and then "Fucking cheat on me, Ian?!", "Whatcha doin' here then?" AND THEIR EXPRESSIONS WHEN THEY EACH SAY "WHEN YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW" ARUGHHHHHH I'M SO GONE

7. What’s an underrated trope or concept you’d like to see more of?

Touched on this earlier but basically the more tragic/gritty ones—a huge argument, break-ups, unrequited love, falling out of love, hanahaki, amnesia, MCD...

10. What scene or moment do you feel isn’t discussed enough?

Eh I think we've dissected the shit out of every scene lmao, but probably their s4 reunion? The lap dance?

11. What line/dialogue/description from something else (a poem, a book, a tv show, a movie, or something else) do you feel describes Ian and Mickey’s relationship?

Obviously "I'll take care of you. / It's rotten work. / Not to me. Not if it's you."

12. What do you think is next for Ian and Mickey post-finale?

I want Ian to go back to being an EMT no matter what :( but their current security gig fits Mickey a lot. Ian also gets really into gardening, he'll be so good to the point where he'll be known in the neighborhood. And Mickey has a little hobby for drawing. They'll adopt a pitbull because Mickey was actually enthusiastic about that idea, which meets Ian halfway by still giving him something to take care of. Now for the elephant in the room: I think it's okay if Mickey never wants a kid, and there's a lot of issues ingrained in them that unless they go to therapy for a couple of years, hinder them from becoming perfect parents tbh. Now I'm not saying they'll be bad, but will their best be enough? Will they be content? Idk, I don't have any experience and I see them with more issues/flaws than the majority of the fandom? Honestly I just don't see that future for them (but I do enjoy kid AUs because who doesn't.) They'll stay on the West Side because I want them to get out but not stray too far from their family. I also can't think about them getting old or I'll sob, but I wrote a fic about how they'll retire and just live comfortably because it's what they deserve, and they'll take tons of vacations when they save up enough money.

ROASTING REVIEWING KNOCKOFF TRANSFORMERS

Part 1

So it's no secret that I enjoy collecting TF figures. My collection isn't massive but I like to collect my favourite characters! Hasbro figures (at least the first series released at the start of a continuity is. I can't speak to some of the later releases) are usually p decent quality.

Decent faces. Thought out weight distribution so even characters like TfP Starscream can stand. Smooth joints. Basically an all around decent toy.

However, the moment I look a little closer I already found things that bug me.

The pictures of the dinosaurs to the left of each toy are not the same colours as the actual toys in the packaging. It's possible maybe the colours are random but from what I could see all the packages had the same colours??

Another issue... Maybe it's not as big of a deal to most people but as a paleo-nerd it really bugs me. So they label which dinosaurs they are right?? Well...

CRYPTOCLIOUS IS A PLESIOSAUR (Think long necked swimming dinosaur. Think Loch Ness monster) which if you look at the figure

A better name would be diplodocus or brachiosaurus OR Yknow what I'd even accept the outdated term Brontosaurus for this guy. At least it's the long necked land living dinosaur and not the water dwelling sea reptile.

I don't usually get upset about dinosaur mistakes bc like... I don't want to be that person who yells at people for not knowing dinosaurs / extinct creatures. Lord know I have gaps in my own knowledge. It's more just baffling to me that they picked a species that isn't even a dinosaur like the toy is. And it's such a weirdly weirdly specific and not well known species too.

I haven't even opened them yet and for some reason?? I expected every dinosaur to transform but apparently they are just meant to combine?? Into a wholeass dude? And that's it?

These are not great quality but they have cute designs. The designs are fun if a bit odd at some parts. Cheap plastic and not super well thought out toy. Then again I didn't expect much for $4CAD

If you're someone who likes painting toys then these could be fun to use as a base.

I don't have children and haven't worked very much with children so take what I say with a grain of salt. For a child who is delicate with their toys and old enough to not eat everything it's not terrible. Could be cute in a gift bag from a birthday party. Wouldn't recommend for young children. There's a lot of easily removable small parts that could be consumed and be a choking hazard. Not to mention idk how toxic the material is. Also wouldn't recommend for children who play very roughly with their toys. Parts will go missing easily and some of the parts are thin and feel like it wouldn't take very much to break them.

The Combiner mode is kinda pathetic so if you are getting the toy, get it for the cute robot dinosaurs and not for the robot they turn into.

hi! ik you’re probably busy and stuff so don’t sweat it if you can’t answer, but i recently read your star wars warrior nun au, and i absolutely loved it. i haven’t watched the movies and stuff in a suuuuuper long time, and your fic really brought that love back, and i was wondering if you would be able to tell me what order i should watch things or which books to read and stuff? again, dw if you can’t respond!

oh! i can absolutely do that. keep in mind that this is going to be my own personal watch order based on how canon works best and resonates thematically for me 🥰 i’ll just make a list i think.

you will notice that i’m not going to say that you should watch things in order. frankly, i don’t think that’s the best star wars experience, but! there should be loads of articles online detailing how to watch chronologically if you decide to do that.

anyway, here we go!

1. the original three! that’s A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. i really truly think that this is the best starting point even on rewatch. just… something about having this as the centrepiece works so well. everything else orbits it and contextualises (and recontextualises) it.

2. the prequels, starting with The Phantom Menace. the prequels are a tragedy 🙂 yes, a very fun tragedy with my best boy obi-wan at centre stage, but it works because you’ve seen the original trilogy and you know what’s going to happen but you’re transfixed by it anyway, by the fire as it eats at the fabric of the story.

3. at this point, you can watch The Clone Wars (the animated move & series) if that’s your jam. i haven’t seen those but i’ve heard incredible things about them. (if anyone wants to chime in on where they think TCW fits in here, that’d be appreciated!)

HOWEVER where i tend to go next is the Kenobi series! it’s perfectly poised between the prequels and the originals. plus i really loved it 😌

4. then Andor. good god. it’s a masterpiece. there’s a second season coming, but it flows beautifully into

5. rogue one. my personal favourite star wars movie. it’s just… stunning, beautiful, tragic. in the timeline it fits between Andor and A New Hope.

6. i really recommend either playing or (if that’s not your thing) watching a youtube playthrough (i recommend no commentary, but that’s up to you) of Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. my fic is based on these games, but very, very loosely; you won’t be spoiled for Luminous Beings by watching this. there’s a great book set between the two games called Battle Scars. it’s a lot of fun.

7. then the Rebels tv show followed by the new show, Ahsoka!! Rebels is wonderful (i am only halfway through) and i’m gleefully intrigued by what i’m seeing of the Ahsoka show so far. i definitely would recommend also watching The Clone Wars before this, because it sets up Ahsoka’s character!

8. the mandilorian is really good! it’s set after the originals but before the… sequels. might as well address those 😔

8. the sequels - starting with The Force Awakens (a Good movie, actually) - are… complicated to me. i loved the promise of the first one but the others REALLY let me down. the last two are decent action movies with some good characters (finn’s plotline in the second movie is genuinely really good, just too sidelined for my liking. they could have done so much more). basically, you can watch them, and i think you SHOULD watch The Force Awakens, but as star wars movies the last two i… really don’t like.

(there’s a ton of canon games and books and tv shows i’m forgetting after this, but i’d say for me personally this is the structure and the star wars stuff that i really like to revisit over and over. Knights of the Old Republic is an amazing, if old, video game set waaaaay back before the prequels. it’s great if you like viddy games)

Meanwhile I fully understand disliking it/him and not shipping it while liking the story. But the visceral response some people have to the ship or how they equate it with moral degeneracy is like… well you chose to participate in the fandom where the villain and protagonist make out multiple times per book. Anyway, I liked Hanne a lot but I was generally really annoyed with Nina for most of the duology. I need to reread tbh to properly absorb it. So I’m rather ambivalent to the ship itself? And I haven’t read the rest of the Locke Lamora books yet! I wanted to reread to get a start on the rest. Locke is probably my favorite character type in that kind of noire esque shit talking MC who also routinely gets the shit kicked out oh him for it lol. That kind of all the audacity and all the consequences. But yeah there was so much of the plot I didn’t remember, I think it beats every other book I read in 2023 in terms of getting actual physical reactions from me. i'm not sure what my latest fic idea is, since if i know i probably won't ever write it my brain auto-deletes the information w/o my permission unless i remember to write it down 😔😔 but i've had a Big One that'd been in my mind for a while, but will probably never write bc it's so weird and has a strangely large scope lol

it's a jjba: Vento Aureo/Enter The Gungeon crossover of all things. basically while i was on a Gungeon kick a while back i realized the, despite being a super goofy roguelike based almost entirely around Gun Puns, the themes that is does have are weirdly similar to VA's? + the type of goof matches up nicely w jjba's lol

the gist is: Diavolo (The Devil) created the gungeon for canon typical reasons (bc he's deranged and doesn't want anyone to know who he is ever to the point of wanting to erase his own past) the members of the Buccigang are all gungeoneers to kill their canon typical tragic backstories that consist of One Big Mistake but they've all basically lost hope of ever doing that and can't leave bc of how the gungeon's time bullshit works. Giorno is the new kid but he's not actually there to kill his past, he wants to stop Jotaro (who is also there somewhere deep in the gungeon) from killing his past, bc if Jotaro kills his past, aka kills Dio before he can fuck over the Joestar bloodline, Giorno will retroactively stop existing

uhhh Giorno is able to restore hope to the gang, the rest of the cast replaces various NPCs, squadra specifically being a group that tried to take down the Devil and failed horribly, Trish is the Blacksmith and eventually teams up w the Buccigang to take down her dad, the Devil, and free them all from this Time Purgatory. i even made all the characters starting loadouts while referencing the gungeon wiki to make sure no one was too OP lol

also the fic is/was/will be titled Guns & Roses which is a name i'm very big proud of ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_
