I Need Help Posepack

I’m currently running a poll on my dash regarding what people want in the way of poses. So i noticed people want them all. Which is ok, i was generally inspired to make some during story days. All my story is written and the pics are even done, i just post a day in between ... so yeah why not kill some time with a pose pack?

There is 10 couple poses in this pack (20 poses in total).This comes with its own custom icons so its easy to find and all in one animations. You will need to play these in game, these are not for CAS. You will need Andrew’s Pose Player for these to work well! USE X2 TELEPORTERS WHERE YOU WANT THEM TO POSE TOGETHER. There is obviously some clipping in some of the poses which is completely unavoidable, and naturally with hair, big boobies, and big muscly men .. there will be clipping anyway. Not good for high heels guys.

Forgot to mention it last night because I got distracted but after I posted my picture of my new Ginjirotchi charm and Gyaoppi II, my Lovelitchi on my Pix decided it was homesick, asked to make a photo album, and then went back to it's home planet as a full fledged music idol. I'll say that the photo album probably makes this the saddest possible way to say goodbye to a tama so far. Well besides dying but that's just kind of a part of virtual pets I've come to accept, I don't need a montage of my digimon and all the memories we shared together before parting ways, like I don't need this to be the Digimon Adventure Finale, I just want this to be a silly pet simulator.

Anyway, I've already started the next pet, going for Violetchi, but I hate how I have to neglect the poor thing to get it.

The one thing I wish the Pix had that the Uni has is that it logs the different pets you've had in the care icons section. I really appreciate that.

OK - this is going to mark the occasion of my First Realistic Devlog. That being - one where I actually record some of the more tedious aspects of my job (graphic design) + deeper thoughts about it. (It's not ACTUALLY all playing with holograms!)

Luckily, I have a secret passion in that I really, really love graphic design. It's one of the most powerful forms of art, which is why so many billions are spent on advertisement each year. It's scary powerful, is proven to influence the way we THINK (propaganda is graphic design), and reminds me why it's so important to Touch Grass every once and awhile.

ANYWAYS. My task right now is to 1) Make new brush icons, 2) Make new brush names, and 3) To write actual, helpful descriptions of what each brush does.

This is to make the app more accessible for non-artists! I want the "art" section of Figmin to be as fun-to-use and nonthreatening as Kid Pix. Figmin already does wonders for bringing out people's inner, creative child, (it's REAL HOLOGRAMS YOU CAN TOUCH. LIKE?!?) -- there are still some genuinely confusing bits of the Tilt Brush section that daunt the average, less art-program savvy person. For example, take this brush called Lofted:

What does this image, combined with the name "Lofted" even MEAN?!? What is a "Toon Tube"?! What is SUPERCOLOR???

Lots of icons are good and actually intuitive (Image from this article):

Others are a little.... less so. (Why are "Wire" and "Light Wire" VASTLY different brushes?! What is "Toon" supposed to be??? It makes 3D tubes with black outlines and is UGLY. I literally never use it. There is "Toon" discourse among Tilt Brush artists.)

Doing hundreds of public demos really taught me about what people liked... and what they struggled with - so I'm working very hard to make it as amazing as I can! It's honestly an honor to work on a program that has as much reach as Figmin XR does - to be recognized and approached by strangers because of it!!!! - and I wanna say we're trying to set the best example we can of what this new technology could REALLY be used for.

... Because it's gonna be used for a lot - and not all of it is gonna be good. I'm constantly thinking about Keiichi Matsuda's film "Hyper-Reality", which is a "bad end" vision of what AR glasses will be like, and I think it should be more widely known among developers. And just like... people in general. Think about what tech you consume, kids! 🫡

BUT YES. Brush icons. Tooltip names. Making new ones is hard!! I'm trying to exactly match the existing Tilt Brush style, while also attempting to include visual & naming information that makes every single brush as organized and easy-to-understand as humanly possible.

It's fun! But agonizing. 🫠

Tamagotchi Ps Setting up Sonictchi VDP

I was originally going to try for Pumpkin Deviltchi & then Sonictchi(along with random characters I liked if I had to wait for another boy) but decided to scrap the idea. I can try again at any time then get Sonictchi again if I feel like it but I think I'm also burnt out from the Pix. I'm not going to explain too much since it will make this long but the Pix makes it hard to be interested in stuff despite how much I like the features so it led to being nervous despite the fact I have way more control with the Ps, technically the Mix/Meet/On(at least on gen 1 & with certain characters for age stages) & Uni.

Anyway I decided to do Sonictchi not only cause of the Pix burn out but also cause I'm on a massive Sonic kick again. I could get Pumpkin Deviltchi later if I feel like it & I could just setup custom Halloween stuff if I want Halloween stuff while playing with Sonictchi.

Here's clips I decided to get of setting up the firmware patch to prevent the vdp from ejecting since without a physical pierce it'd eject itself in 12 hours. You can also see that I forgot I already had it installed but it's a good look into what you need to do.

I was a little hesitant at first cause I didn't know what to do & for some reason Mr.Blinky's site(especially with the page for vdp+ which was the page I needed) wasn't working(failed to load) for a while but it luckily came back up after some time though I did also find a video on his youtube channel. Setting everything was really easy after getting everything setup but because I didn't know what I was doing I had no idea what I was doing.

All you have to do is send the patch, go to the patch in the travel area(the door) & press "A" a few times to continue threw the process.

So yeah I set this up when I setup the English patch & forgot, on the bright side it's setup & you can see what the screens say

Here's setting up the Sonictchi vdp, I took a little too long to setup cause I forgot the tamagotchi needs to be a certain distance instead of really close to the inferred device

I forgot I needed to delete the vdp patch setup, I'll do that when my tamagotchi returns from daycare(ok after getting him fed & cared for but you know what I mean)

All I have to do is travel to the patch & everything will be prepared

I really like the menu layout for the Sonictchi patch, not only cause of the design but because of something else. I've rambled vaguely in the past & it's made no sense but I like when the layout for the menu has a design for each icon.

The default menu I used up until now was not only nice looking but had a spot for each icon, the Sonci based menu also has a spot for each icon whether that was intentional or not.(As you can see with the door icon in front of the ring between Knuckles & Tails) There's a starry based menu I like but the menu felt off to me without little designs behind the icons. I know it's stupid & I'm sorry about that.

I feel bad Knuckles is where the bathroom icon is but it's nice to see Cream is in the menu. Kind of interesting she's were the clover/med kit icon is.

Anyway I'm ready to get Sonictchi in the teen stage(need to feed him 3 chilidogs) so we'll see what happens in a few days.

Anyway. Fun question for you, besides the Ruined King squad, are there any champions that you just cannot get sick of? Like, they could show up and you’d be “hell yeah, this just got even better!”

Im as fond with Bandle City as i am with Bilgewater. I just hate the way Riot wrote yordle lore and logic that i just flipped the table and gave up rambling about it.

My first ever league interaction was knowing about Teemo and he's my baby and i dont care what ugly personality people say about him... he's my cute little fella. My second ever league interaction was reading about his lore and seeing that there was kind of a fling between him and Tristana. I started shipping them i made fanart i made fanfic when i was a 12 y/o. And i still love them with all my heart! Rumble being there just spices things up and as a 12 y/o fanfic writer i made it very dramatic to the point of involuntary comedy.

I adore Lulu and Pix, she's the champion i have more points with. She's iconic! I'd be dissapointed if they ever changed her visual appereance. I know most people think her model looks outdated and icky... BUT she gives this manic pixie dream girl look and i adore her, i love her chubby face with a lot of eye separation and those BIG ol eyes... I love Pix looking like a stick figure with butterfly/fairy wings. I will admit she looked lovely in the LOR expansion cinematic. I love her in all shape and form.

I also like Veigar... Like, can relate to the thing of being tortured psycologically and physically by a bigger dude and then once you're out of it be like 'well, today i feel like setting the world on fire <3'. Overall i adore most of yordle champions, i just dont like how Riot updated their lore a couple of years ago it made me loose interest in what they had to say inside game.

Gwen! I dont know if that counts as a Ruined King champion... her little doll appears on a random corner but i like her! I was one of those poeple begging Riot to make her more doll-likely. But being completely honest, i love her human switching to tiny funny doll power. She's cheerful she's adorable she's iconic and she is the moment.

KLED i know i said i love most of the yordles but KLED he's my baby i love Kled and Skaarl they are so iconic. In game is a delight to play it made me keep my emotions on line when i was on a very rough moment. The thrill of mounting on Skaarl at 10HP and saving your ass or getting a kill.... Its great. I also love his (OLD) lore (they fucked up again making an update a couple years ago) and his short story is SO funny and emotive. I came to realize that i really like him because he reminds me of my grandpa... and my parents always say i look a lot like him cause im always grumpy and mad at something...

OK there's a lot of champions i actually like a lot im going to resume it in one line rants. Janna, sadly sexualized and outdated but she's like a Soraka but more sassy, loved her LOR look makes her look exactly like that. Karma, she's iconic, she's very pretty, not much people pay attention to her and i never actually sat down to read about her BUT im interested. Twitch, he's a rat. Jhin, he's iconic. Lillia, teheehee silly fawn girl peeposhy. Ivern, he's like my mom when she's on a good mood. MILIO he's a BABY and HE IS MY BABY i love him very much. Blitzcrank. He's silly. Kog Maw cause he's also silly. Nautilus, my husbando best friend. Renata, iconic and sapphic.

Imma be real. I forgot about the oni. u know I watched that season so recently but I did not remember them which i think says it all lol. To my brain, the villain of s10 was toxic smoke. Also, I did not process Mystake actually dead. I had to check the wiki, for real I thought she would come back in a later season bcuz u know she has so many tricks up her sleeve and seemed so wise but she got the eraser for not being important anymore I fucking guess :) as always it is my fault for having hope in the show. but idk if its much hope as it is like, the normal course of action. i think its extremely weird how they keep doing that to characters they made her cool for one second and then threw her away. gurl power! Whether she’s a slapper, a puncher, a brawler i think there is a pose in the pack that you can use in your story. OR maybe there's a pose there that you didn’t think you needed til you saw it!

5e Lulu, the Fae Sorceress build (League of Legends)

Purple, that did taste. Mhhhhhmmmm.

Honestly Lulu was on my To Do list for ages but I never sat down to think about how to build her. She’s a fairly archetypal fantasy character, being a silly little wizard with a familiar. And more support builds are always fun.

I’m going to be honest as someone with Mastery 6 in Lulu she’s one of the most ELO-boosting champions in the game next to Blitzcrank. If anyone says that Season 10 was the point where Riot started to overtune their champions I need only point at Lulu. Maybe I just have this opinion because I only started to play Lulu back in Season 7 Ardent Censer meta (along with Sona I was too shit to play Janna back then) and then I started to play assassins to which Lulu became the bane of my existence with her stupid polymorph.

Anyways this build is also fun because Lulu is extremely memeable.

GOALS

Dust em, Pix! - Hey did you know that the Sprite is available as a familiar, but only to one class? I wonder what class that could be...

Just a pinch - Lulu is known for big shields as opposed to big heals.

Transmogulate! - It’s always kinda hilarious to me when a champion’s most iconic ability is the easiest to emulate.

RACE

My choice when making a Yordle is basically either Gnome or Halfling. Lulu will be a Gnome as she’s more magically inclined. You’d normally see an Intelligence increase but I’m going to recommend you invoke Tasha’s for +2 to Charisma instead (because Intelligence is only really good for two classes.) You also get Gnome Cunning for advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic. Yordles are basically pure magic so it makes sense that you know your way around it.

The main reason I went for a Gnome is because I’m 95% sure that Lulu can talk to animals, ergo Forest Gnome can Speak with Small Beasts like squirrels, badgers, rabbits, moles, woodpeckers, and other things you probably polymorph your foes into. You’re also a Natural Illusionist that can cast Minor Illusion (although it’s based on your Intelligence so I don’t know how practical it’ll be) and your Dexterity score increases by 1.

ABILITY SCORES

15; CHARISMA - Yordles are cute, right? I mean maybe not when they turn you into a squirrel or turn huge.

14; CONSTITUTION - Look I could invest in something else but I’d really like to not die. Anyone who’s tried to chase a Lulu knows how deceptively tanky she is.

13; DEXTERITY - Something something Medium Armor, hold the Medium Armor.

12; INTELLIGENCE - Truth be told this is mostly so your Minor Illusion isn’t completely useless, but Arcana knowledge is also helpful.

10; WISDOM - You’re a bit ditzy and easy to fool. I’m sure watching that rock was really important...

8; STRENGTH - Yordles are big on magic; not so much on strength.

BACKGROUND

Hey wouldn’t it be neat if there was a book based in the Feywild with background based in the Feywild? Well Wild Beyond the Witchlight is based in the Feywild and the Feylost background ties you quite closely to it! You get proficiency with Deception and Survival as well as one musical instrument of your choice and the Sylvan language. (There are others but that’s kinda the only one that makes sense.)

There’s some other traits worth mentioning: you have a Fey Mark to show your Bandle pride (I’d consider big fluffy yordle ears to be in-flavor) and from time to time a Feywild Visitor might come to you at night. "That squirrel looks familiar." But your main feature is Feywild Connection: creatures from the Feywild recognize you as a yordle, and they will be nice to you!

THE BUILD

LEVEL 1 - SORCERER 1

Lulu is the Fae Sorceress so of course her first level is in Sorcerer. You get two proficiencies from the Sorcerer list such as Arcana and Persuasion. You also get proficiency in Constitution saving throws which let’s be honest is the main reason I’m taking the first level in Sorcerer.

Shame there’s no Fey origin for Sorcerers so we’re going to just have to settle for Clockwork Soul. Bit of a weird choice yes but Restore Balance will be the first of many ways you can either buff an ally or debuff an enemy, by negating their buffs and debuffs! When someone you can see within 60 feet is about to roll with advantage or disadvantage, you can use your reaction to make them roll one d20 instead of two! You can only use this a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus (resetting on a Long Rest) but it’s still great to be able to stop an incoming assassin or help an ally catch a pesky foe!

You also get access to Spellcasting as a Sorcerer, and with the Clockwork Soul subclass you get additional Clockwork Magic spells. You can pick up some abjuration or transmutation spells from the Wizard, Warlock, or Sorcerer list and I’m going to tell you right now: take Shield and Mage Armor, because it’s not like you need anything else from those schools.

Well you can still prepare Feather Fall in case of an emergency, and Magic Missile is never bad to have. As for cantrips take Mending and Prestidigitation to keep yourself all nice and tidy, Mind Sliver to damage your foes while also making it easier for your allies to deal with them, and Thunderclap in case they get too close to you and you want your teammates to actually notice and help you.

LEVEL 2 - WARLOCK 1

Look: if I want a fae companion I need to go Warlock. And if I want to be a Fae Sorceress I have to go for the Archfey patron. As an Archfey Warlock you can invoke the Fey Presence of yordles. As an action you can cause each creature in a 10-foot cube originating from you (so around you basically) to make a Wisdom saving throw. You can choose to either Charm them or Frighten them until the end of your next turn. (Charming for your allies, and frightening for your foes!) You can use this ability once per Short or Long Rest.

Of course as a Warlock you get access to Pact Magic, which is like regular magic but the spell slots come back on a Short Rest! You get two cantrips from the Warlock spell list such as Eldritch Blast to eldritch while you blast, and Mage Hand for Pix to help you grab some things nearby. All before you actually get Pix!

You can also learn two spell and I’m just going to grab both the spells from the Archfey expanded spell list, as both Faerie Fire and Sleep are great spells for a support!

LEVEL 3 - WARLOCK 2

Second level Warlocks get access to Eldritch Invocations. For take Lance of Lethargy for Glitterlance‘s slow, and leave your other invocation slot open for now.

You can also learn another spell, but we’re going to wait for...

LEVEL 4 - WARLOCK 3

Third level Warlocks finally get Pix! You get to choose your Pact Boon and Pact of the Chain will let you summon a variety of familiars with the Find Familiar spell, including a Sprite! The Sprite has a sword and a bow which both do basically no damage but the bow is coated in poison that can (well yeah) poison the enemy, and if they fail the saving throw by 5 or more the target falls unconscious instead until someone shakes it awake (or stabs them.) They can also tell how someone feels thanks to Heart Sight, and they can also basically cast Invisibility on themselves at will!

Why am I detailing everything that Pix can do? Because Investments of the Chain Master will make you and Pix a dynamic fighting duo! This invocation lets you give Pix a swimming speed (they already have a Flying speed so why give it to them twice?), magical attacks (to overcome resistance, like Pix doesn’t do 1 damage per shot), and you can use your reaction to give them resistance if they take damage.

Much more importantly however you can make Pix attack with your bonus action. And if they hit, their saving throw abilities use your spell save DC! A +6 on Pix’s bow isn’t all that bad, and poisoning foes makes it a lot harder for them to fight. And of course knocking a foe unconscious is even better! Basically it’s free for Pix to shoot your enemies and if you can poison them it’ll make it a lot easier for your allies to fight.

You can also now learn second level spells like Ray of Enfeeblement for Exhaust, and Misty Step for Flash.

LEVEL 5 - WARLOCK 4

4th level Warlocks get the first of many Ability Score Improvements. Your uneven Charisma score makes it easy to grab the Telepathic feat for +1 to Charisma and the ability to keep to team chat with Telepathy. Being able to cast Detect Thoughts once for free (and then cast it some more with spell slots) is a nice added bonus.

You can also learn another spell along with another cantrip! For your cantrip Chill Touch is good if you need some Grievous Wounds. For your leveled spell Lulu doesn’t have a root but Hold Person is a good spell to have, so take that.

LEVEL 6 - SORCERER 2

Second level Sorcerers get a Font of Magic for Sorcery Points, which can be used for... pretty much nothing right now. For now you can turn 2 Sorcery points into a first level spell slot, and can turn a 2nd level spell slot into 2 Sorcery points.

Why does this matter? Your Warlock slots come back after a Short Rest. Your Sorcery points don’t. So if you have some spare Warlock slots before a Short Rest you can turn them into Sorcery points for later!

You can also learn another first level spell, and while there are some good supportive options it would probably be a good idea to grab Disguise Self for a bit of yordle Glamor.

LEVEL 7 - SORCERER 3

Third level Sorcerers get to use their Sorcery Points on Metamagic to augment their powers the way only yordles can! If you want to make sure that an enemy turns fluffy and harmless (when we get the ability to do so) take Heightened Spell so they’ll have disadvantage on their first saving throw against your spells. Alternatively if you want to buff your allies for as long as possible take Extended Spell which will keep your spells running for longer.

Speaking of spells Clockwork Magic gives you access to both Aid and Lesser Restoration which are both very good to keep your teammates alive. And what’s funny about 5e is that we can straight up get Lulu’s ultimate before her E! Take Enlarge / Reduce to give your allies some Wild Growth, or even shrink your enemies if you’re feeling spicy!

LEVEL 8 - SORCERER 4

4th level Sorcerers get another Ability Score Improvement which means we can max out your Charisma for the best spellcasting as soon as possible. Of course with better spellcasting more spells would be nice, and more cantrips. For your cantrip Dancing Lights might be bad because it takes Concentration, BUT... it’s quite fitting for a fae sorceress and Light doesn’t really fit Lulu. As for leveled spells Everfrost isn’t the most popular pick for Lulu, but if you decide to build it Rime’s Binding Ice will let you deal some good damage while also rooting foes in place!

LEVEL 9 - SORCERER 5

You know how you’ve been canceling Disadvantage with your Sorcerer abilities? Well now you can basically give yourself advantage on ability checks thanks to Magical Guidance. 1 Sorcery point to reroll a failed skill check sure is worth it!

You can also learn third level spells. Dispel Magic is cool but I’m also going to suggest you grab Haste instead of Protection from Energy, to finally have the ability to empower your allies with your W! You can also learn Hypnotic Pattern, which yes Lulu can’t cast it in League but it’s a great supportive spell to keep enemies out of the fight, which fits Lulu well.

LEVEL 10 - SORCERER 6

We should probably start shielding people as Lulu by total level 10. Bastion of Law will let you spend 1 to 5 sorcery points to create a shield around yourself or another creature you can see within 30 feet of you, which lasts until you finish a long rest or until you shield someone else.

The shield is equal to a number of d8s equal to the number of sorcery points you used to create it. If the creature takes damage, it can expend any number of those dice to reduce the damage taken by the total rolled.

You can also prepare another spell like Counterspell, to overpower any dangerous magic with your own fae yordle magic.

LEVEL 11 - SORCERER 7

7th level Sorcerers can learn 4th level spells. Freedom of Movement from the Clockwork Sorcerer list is pretty good for a Mikael's Crucible, but you know what’s a great 4th level Transmutation spell? Polymorph! By total level 11 you can finally turn someone into a squirrel.

You can also learn another spell like Dimension Door. Just because Lulu doesn’t take Teleport normally doesn’t mean you can’t get another Summoner Spell when you’re allowed to bring more than 2 of them.

LEVEL 12 - SORCERER 8

8th level Sorcerers get another Ability Score Improvement and alright we may as well take War Caster since you’ve got maxed out Charisma. Advantage on Concentration checks is obviously the biggest benefit but being able to Polymorph someone who tries to stab you and then run away is also nice.

Speaking of casting: Banishment! More good supportive spells for a good little support who absolutely wouldn’t be tempted to go full AP, right?

LEVEL 13 - WARLOCK 5

Quickly hopping back over to Warlock for Agonizing Blast to agonize your blasts. Also for Summon Fey to get a harder, better, faster, more expensive, and stronger Pix that you couldn’t get by just being a sorceress.

LEVEL 14 - WARLOCK 6

Flash is good. How about a second Flash? Misty Escape can be used as a reaction when you take damage to teleport 60 feet and turn invisible until the start of your next turn, unless you cast a spell or make an attack until then. You can use this ability once per Short or Long Rest, but it’s good to have in your pocket in case you get dove.

You can also learn Plant Growth from the Archfey list. Yes it’s not the most practical spell, but it fits Lulu well.

LEVEL 15 - SORCERER 9

9th level Sorcerers get access to 5th level spells. As a Clockwork Soul Sorcerer Greater Restoration is good to have, and while Wall of Force might not fit Lulu it has a lot of good uses.

If you are tired of being a good little support and want to go full AP then Bigby's Hand might serve well to do both. (Ty Tasha’s.) You can punch people, grab people, or defend your allies with your magic! I suggest reading the spell over to see everything it can do, because it can do a lot.

LEVEL 16 - SORCERER 10

10th level Sorcerers (finally) get another Metamagic option. If you want to work with Pix to do some tricks with your Glitterlance take Distant Spell to fire from all sorts of strange angles.

You can also learn another spell, along with another cantrip. For your cantrip Control Flames is kinda the cantrip you take when you’re multiclassing and have 9 total cantrips. As for leveled spells there actually isn’t much else I want at 5th level, so I’m going to take Intellect Fortress from 3rd level in case of emergency. Sure advantage on mental saves (and Psychic damage) won’t always be useful (especially for a yordle who can already resist magic), but it’s one of those in-case-of-emergency spells that’s never bad to have.

LEVEL 17 - SORCERER 11

11th level Sorcerers can learn 6th level spells. No more free spells from your subclass, but you can learn True Seeing, because "You'll see more with your eyes closed."

LEVEL 18 - SORCERER 12

12th level Sorcerers get another Ability Score Improvement. You’ve probably been using a lot of Sorcery points by this point, haven’t you? Well Metamagic Adept gives you two more of them, as well as two new Metamagic options. May as well be a support at 30 minutes and actually get the ability to do damage with Quickened Spell and Twinned Spell.

Oh did you think you’d be able to learn another spell? Ha ha no. What do you mean it’s unfair that Wizards would get two more spells known and one more spell prepared by this level?

LEVEL 19 - SORCERER 13

13th level Sorcerers can learn 7th level spells like Power Word Pain, which despite the name doesn’t inflict any damage. It’s just an extremely debilitating spell on any enemy with 100 health or less.

LEVEL 20 - SORCERER 14

Have you ever played support in a 30 minute game? It’s like you have to go into a trance to keep everyone alive. Trance of Order can be activated as a Bonus Action, and for that duration no attack against you can benefit from advantage, and any roll you make that’s below a 10 defaults to a 10. You can use this ability once for free per Long Rest, but you can also use 5 Sorcery points to use it again.

A solid giggle should do the trick - Wow a character designed to be a good support is a good support? Isn’t that wacky? But jokes aside you have more than enough utility spells to keep anyone alive or make anyone harmless.

Whoa... dizzy - The sprite isn’t used often and that’s really a shame. Poisoning enemies is strong, and knocking them out is even stronger!

Let's go around again! - You’re not exactly a tank but you have plenty of ways to keep yourself safe. Yes you can run away fairly easily but you can also weaken a foe to the point that they can’t hurt you!

CONS

Hot foot! - You’re a Sorcerer, which means you have a d6 hit die. You also have 14 DEX, which means that your AC is going to be 15 even with Mage Armor. You’re a squishy backliner through-and-through, and that’s a problem if anyone dives you. Or if they just cast Power Word Kill on ya.

Let's use all the colors - No matter how hard you try you can only concentrate on one spell, and while you do have spells that aren’t Concentration based your best tricks are tied to Concentration. Just remember that it’s entirely up to you if you want to take more fire-and-forget damaging spells instead of focusing everything into long-term utility magics.

Up we go! - This is definitely a build that falls off late game. Early on Pix is more likely to make an impact, and the shear number of spell slots you have makes their low strength a non-issue. But as saving throws get higher you’ll be much less likely to weaken your foes, and 7th level spells by total level 20 aren’t going to cut it against the biggest and baddest of foes.

But it doesn’t matter as long as you’re having fun! And for once I can say that both as the League character and as out-of-character advice. Remember that you’re here to make sure everyone can do their best and everyone has a great time thanks to you! So go out there and make your friends the best they can be! Or just go full AP and do it yourself.

A/N: I've finished writing the drabbles that go in between the refugee-treasure-hunter Pix, but somehow I haven't finished the actual intro to this haha

“Oh,” Pix said, lowering their sword. “you startled me. I thought you were a Treasure Hoarder.”

“You mustn't be one of them then.” Kaeya came closer with a hand to his hip. “I haven't seen you around these parts before.”

“I'm on a little treasure hunt myself from Inazuma.” Pix said looking back at the rune they were examining.

After realizing they were spacing out, they shook their head. “I'm sorry. I'm Viera.”

They extended their hand to Kaeya. He shook their hand but visibly made a face when Pix gripped his hand. Pix hid their reaction. Based on the handshake alone, he must've recognized them already. Now, Pix knew he wouldn't jump to conclusions, but right now, he definitely had suspicions.

“I'm Kaeya.” he said anyway with a smile. “Cavalry captain of the Knights of Favonius.”

“And what brings you out here, Captain Kaeya?” Pix put their hands on their waist.

“Nothing much.” Kaeya's eyes flashed suspiciously though smiling. Now Pix knew he was onto them. He wasn't captain for nothing after all.

He crouched down to the rune Pix was examining and traced it with his finger. It didn't look Kaeya recognized it to Pix's unfortune. They sighed and crouched down next to him.

“May I ask what you're looking for?” he piped up.

“Archon residue.” Pix said but immediately regretted it.

Kaeya's head perked up at what they said and looked at them. “Archon residue?”

Pix mentally cursed themselves as Kaeya gave them the most suspicious look they've ever seen from him. They forgot they were incognito but because of Kaeya's presence, they forgot they weren't supposed to be known by anyone. Lips run freely when they're with him.

Pix sighed, knowing they can't and promised never to lie to anyone, especially friends. “Yes. I'm looking for Archon residue.”

“Huh.” A mischievous smirk appeared on Kaeya's lips and looked back at the rune. “And what's got you stuck here?”

“What?” Pix blurted. They didn't expect Kaeya to be into it.

“You heard me,” Kaeya chuckled. “what's got a treasure hunter like you being stuck here?”

Pix couldn't keep the smile in. Kaeya was as mischevious as always. His behavior made them miss the good old days. Too bad they couldn't live it at the moment. Pix reached over and touched the rune.

“These runes should activate with certain elemental energy, but I've already tried every element there is.” Pix said, lowering their guard in Kaeya's presence. “Nothing's working.”

Kaeya hummed. “What if it's not elemental energy that activates it?”

Pix was confused. “What else could it be activated by then?”

Kaeya shrugged. “Thoughts perhaps.”

“Thought…” Pix hummed. “What kind of thoughts would it need though?”

Regardless, Pix placed their palm over the rune as Kaeya curiously watched. They breathed and closed their eyes, entertaining Kaeya's idea.

They thought of why they were driven from their home. Pix had to escape before they could get killed and fulfill the Tsaritsa's wished. They were upset and betrayed but what could they do? They felt alone and with no one to turn to in order to protect them. They had no other feelings towards their untimely situation but anguish.

“No… whatever you're thinking of, it's not that.” Kaeya said, watching as the rune glowed, but only slightly. “It's working though.”

Next, Pix moved on to thinking of their parents. They were angry for their mother at the Taskmaster and swore vengeance on the suffering he brought upon them and their father. Their father… they missed him. It hadn't been long ever since the escaped from Snezhnaya, but they couldn't help the uncomfortable nagging feeling that it would take a long time before they'd have a happy family reunion.

“Not that either…” Kayea tipped his head to the side. “Keep trying. At least we know it's working.”

He subconsciously placed a hand on Pix's shoulder. Pix smiled though frustrated. It would've been so much fun if they weren't in that situation. Pix always treasured it whenever the both of them did whatever together.

Suddenly, the rune glowed bright enough to blind both Kaeya and Pix. They both shielded there eyes with their arms and staggered back, falling onto the grass. The brightness died out and a small chest appeared on the ground in front of the rune.

“What was that?” Kaeya asked, removing his arm from over his eyes.

“Did it work?” Pix rubbed their eyes.

Kaeya shrugged and pointed at the box. Pix's eyes twinkled and they frantically crawled over to the chest. Kaeya was confused at Pix's frantic behavior, but followed suit.

Pix sat on their feet and carefully opened the chest with Kaeya looking over their shoulder. Inside was a small yellow orb of what looked to be condensed energy. Pix smiled before taking out tweezers from their pocket and carefully picked up the orb. It was a majestic sight when the sunlight hit the orb.

“This is archon residue?” Kaeya asked as Pix secured it into a small glass vial. “What's it doing exposed here like this? I would've expected it to be more… hidden.”

“This is a treasure hunt.” Pix got up and turned to him. There was an enthusiastic look on their face. “Treasure will be treasure, right?”

Kaeya smiled at Pix's enthusiasm. No matter what persona they try to take on, their enthusiasm will always be iconic. “I suppose so.”

“Anyway,” Pix took out a pocketwatch and held it to the sun. “I have to get going if I want to find the next one before dark. Thanks for the help, Captain.”

“Before you go, ‘Viera’,” Kaeya said their alias in the most accusing tone while he stood up. Looks like their secret was out, but Pix knew Kaeya understood the reason for it. “what did you think about that made the rune activate?”

Pix smiled. “You, of course.”

Kaeya recipricated the smile and laughed. He's surprised their friendship never changes. “Don't let me keep you then.” He gestured them off. “Stop by to have a drink, will you?”

Pix saluted. “Save a seat for me.”

The Last Time I Saw Lou Reed

In early October, 2013, my girlfriend and I went to the John Varvatos store on the Bowery -- formerly CBGB. Mick Rock and Lou Reed were there to have a sit down chat about Rock’s new book, a collection of images taken for and around Reed’s classic album, Transformer. It was one of those shmancy $400 tomes that I clearly couldn’t afford, but I could finagle myself on the press list for this event. 

I first met Lou Reed after his show at the Palace Theater in Columbus, Ohio in March, 1989. It was the second time I’d seen him live, and a better show overall than the Cleveland appearance on the Mistrial tour.  I was up in the the first row of the balcony, and by the encore I had my leg over the railing and was bashing my heel against it so hard, pieces of the old molding were cracking off and falling down on the fans below. Oh well, that’s rock’n’roll, in a big theater anyway. I was used to seeing favorite bands at dive bars.

A friend and I hung out by the backstage door with about 30 people, that then dwindled to about 12 by the time Lou came sauntering out about an hour and a half after the show. And despite all the infamous stories of his grumpiness, he walked over to a minivan, slid the door open, and sat there signing a stack of press glossies for the obsessives who remained. I asked him humbly, “So, what can you say about your relationship with Lester Bangs?” He simply responded, “Uh, we were very famous friends.”

I also said hey to him at three different book reading/signing events in NYC in the 2000s, after I moved to Brooklyn in 2004. 

And initially this Varvatos store event was just another chance to see Lou wax acerbic. But this one seemed immediately different. For one, it was a private event. And two, while I’d heard Lou had been sick, once he and Mick Rock sat down, it was obvious Lou was in rough shape. Pardon my crappy cell phone photos of the moment, but he looked distinctly gaunt and his face was very sallow. Also, the crowd wasn’t the usual fanboys and a couple Village Voice reporters. The place was packed with older friends and family, and some famous faces. The vibe in the room was noticeably, well, less promotional and more reverent.

I’m realizing as I write this that I may have written in my blog about this event before. I guess I’ll chalk up this revisit to its impression on me...

Once Rock and Reed sat down, the conversation started stilted and awkward, for two who’d known each other for 40+ years. But it quickly smoothed out, and for all the times I saw Lou speak, he was as chatty and upbeat as any of them. Unlike the usual Lou Q&As, this one was much more lovey-dovey -- not a descriptive usually used for Lou Reed. Every so often, one of the two would say something about, “...I really love this man,” and they’d stand up and hug. There was Laurie Anderson and Danny Fields, sitting about five feet away, never taking their eyes off Lou. I really just wanted to enjoy the discussion, but you couldn’t quell the impression you were at a living wake.

The reliably hilarious Handsome Dick Manitoba (the Dictators) was creeping around trying to get closer to the table and take phone pix. At once point Lou yalps, “Hey, you wanna hear what we have to say or just take pictures? Get the hell outta here!” And Manitoba was escorted out, as he yelled out, “Hey, I’ve known you for years, man!!” The whole moment was a kind of performance metaphor for Lou’s preeminence as a NYC icon, and Manitoba’s as a second-rung grasper. At the same time though, it worked as some needed levity, a perfect punk moment of denting the over-seriousness of the situation.

After it ended -- and it was a solid hour -- Mick and Lou ducked into some back room, but people hung around the shop, and there were more hugs and “How ya been?!”s. I even got to meet Salman Rushdie. Salman Rushdie does not show up at just any ol’ book release.

Not a month later, I was at a record show, perusing a crate, pulled out a Lou LP, and the dealer says, “Oh man, did you hear?” 

As far as I know, that book event was Lou Reed’s last public appearance.

“mom, look! daddy got me wings like yours!” the sound of giggles accompanied by the shrill creaks of their couch as a little girl with wild red hair bounced up and down on the cushion, elation sparkling bright in her green eyes. obviously fake, glittery pink wings with swirling designs strapped over her back, flapping along with her movements. “now we can fly together!”

“Oh my goodness! Aren’t you just the cutest little pixie in the world!” Her heart fills with adoration as she looks upon her daughter, giggles bubbling up on her lips when she catches a proper glance of the ‘wings’ Nicolás has procured for their little girl. Her own wings unfurl slowly from their glamoured place on her back—she’s not in any danger of knocking furniture over or anything, but it doesn’t hurt to be careful. 

She only needs to hover an inch or two above the carpet; it’s more than enough to be eye-level with her daughter as she continues to bounce on the couch. Holly holds out her hands for the girl to take, and with the slightest bit of effort, keeps both of them in the air as the fake wings strapped to her daughter’s back continue to flap gently. “I hope you told him thank you—these are probably the prettiest wings I’ve ever seen!” 

They can’t exactly do loop-de-loops in the house ( she’ll save those for later ), but from the sheer joy on her little girl’s face, this is more than enough for now. Her laughter sounds like music to Holly’s ears, and later, she’ll have to say her own thank you’s to her beloved. “Why don’t we go give your dad a visit? I’m sure he’d love to see you flying around like this!”
