Hi, I need some advice from a sister-in-Christ please.

It's a boy. Yeah, I know, all bad stories start like that but hear me out. I'm pretty good mates with this boy, he's an amazing person, so kind, really thoughtful, his heart is on fire for Jesus, he's funny, just a great bloke.

I was at a worship thing with him, and I just started sobbing on the floor (good times), and he prayed for me. Anyway, while he was praying, I just "heard" this voice, and it just said "This man is your future husband".

I've prayed about it a lot since, and I always get that same response, yes, you are going to marry this man. And that's all good and well, Your will be done Lord, but like, it's not going to be happening anytime soon... because like, I'm a young teenager, he's a few years older than me, his mum is my teacher, and I just don't want to ruin our friendship. I'm sure that God has a plan, so I'm not going to rush anything, His timing is perfect, but I just would like some advice for like waiting - because I might be waiting 10 years, I might be waiting 30 years, you know?

first off I wanted to thank you for being comfortable enough to reach out to me and thank you for trying to seek advice. now, I don’t personally know you so my first suggestion would be to continually ask for advice from other women in your life who are strong in their faith and able to offer sound advice.

I did notice you mention you’re a young teenager and this guy is older, I don’t know the specifics of course but please try to be careful in situations like these, especially at that age, a few years can make a huge difference then compared to later on in life.

as for the waiting, I can completely relate to you! I have a situation of my own with a guy I like. There’s a lot that I’ve applied to my life that I can pass on to you. The first is to let him lead, don’t try to make any of the first moves yourself:

'Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.' Song of Songs 2:7

This has always been a helpful scripture for me because it reiterates that it is not on my timing and, therefore, I shouldn't try to take charge of it.

Also, even with him leading, it must come from God. If his actions towards you seem in any way impure, talk to someone you trust about it and seek advice. A scripture that I always keep in mind when it comes to the guy I like is this one:

Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves." Luke 17:1-3a

This has such strong imagery, especially coming from Jesus! It makes me super aware of my actions and those around me and how we must always strive for the purity of not just ourselves but everyone who sees us too.

More on the waiting: I know it can be hard—so hard! I struggle a bit with it myself, and it’s good that you’re reminding yourself that God’s timing is greater than ours! What I’d suggest is taking the time to be content with yourself and with God. You have to love and seek God with all your heart first and foremost above everything else (if you want, I can tell you some more about seeking God). Something that's been told to me before that stuck is: how can we love someone who's imperfect (aka other people or partners) if we can't completely love the one who is perfect (God)!

Here's some scripture about seeking God and I would also highly recommend reading the rest of Psalm 119!

'Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord . Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart—' Psalms 119:1-2

Also, strengthen your relationships with other sisters too! Don’t focus so much on spending time with the guy and I’d also advise against spending time alone with him. Remember, our purity matters, and we are also influential to other people as I mentioned earlier. Here's another scripture to help with that!

'“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others. ' 1 Corinthians 10:23-24

I’d also advise against building up expectations or a fantasy of him, especially since you are set on believing he’s your future husband. This goes along with seeking God first because you don’t want to get to a point where you begin to idolize this guy and constantly think about him or a potential future relationship (you don't want to spend more time on him than your relationship with God). Live in the here and now! The future will come just as God has promised <3 (and just one last scripture to reaffirm the idolatry point):

'Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. ' 1 Corinthians 10:14

the tutor (2023) my review and opinion

hi guys, i know i haven’t really been on here in a while and I apologize, I really don’t know what to post on here anyways but I have recently finally watched The Tutor after looking for it for so long so I wanted to come on here to just say my opinion and review, now don’t hate on me because this is all just my opinion, we all have different  opinions and I wanted to just post my opinion and review on here since those movie review websites usually have harsh critics and I don’t really care much about what the critics say.

i do give the movie around a 9.5/10 because I want to give it a pretty fair score and not end up saying 10/10 because noah’s in it and such, i know he’s in it and i’m aware, i’ll get to talking about the characters soon, other than that, the movie had some plot holes that did get pretty confusing but it seemed like a solid good indie movie, I normally don’t watch psychological thrillers but I do think if you enjoy those type of movies you’ll enjoy this one if you don’t really mind the plot holes, because I clearly didn’t really mind it

This may contain some brief spoilers so stay away from this post incase you haven’t seen the movie yet, I won’t get into a huge ass summary because the movie is quite long and it’s better enough to see for yourself than reading this but It starts off as like a normal movie with Ethan played by Garett Hedlund most known for the Tron Legacy tutoring some high schoolers for the SATs, the movie starts off nicely introducing us to the characters we’ll be meeting along the way, We meet Annie played by Victoria Justice most known for the Victorious series and other stuff., who is Ethan’s pregnant girlfriend, and then later in the movie we meet Jackson, who is played Noah Schnapp, mostly known for Stranger Things of course. The movie slowly gets progressively darker and darker as we see our characters venture through finding out the truth, Jackson is figuring out about his family and what happened to him as he’s the only kid in the family other than his cousin Gavin, and the plot twist, I won’t get to that at all because I’d let you guys find out yourselves on what happens in the end since it gets crazier and crazier.

I honestly think that the actors respectfully did an amazing job on their character, I’ve mostly only know Noah and Victoria so I'm not very familiar with Garett, I feel like Noah did amazing playing a character that he never really played before, I’ve never seen him play a character that’s psychotic, and manipulative, Jackson seemed as much different than Will Byers and the other actors did an amazing job, The movie itself really makes you feel like it’s hard to pick sides whenever you are in Jackson’s side or Ethan’s side and I feel like when it came to me watching it I kept myself on one side throughout the half of the movie and it switched on me during the end. 

Other than that, if you like psychological thrillers and you don’t mind plot holes, I do highly recommend the movie, it’s okay if you didn’t enjoy it, I won’t judge you for it but please don’t go hating on my for my opinion because I never really rate movies and I felt like I probably needed to since I do talk about Noah's roles sometimes.

First of all, kudos to the Japanese VAs they did an amazing job! Ado's songs are so good too! Tot Musica is part of my soul now

Everyone clapped when THAT Luffy fight scene at the end happened (if you've seen the movie or have been spoiled about it, you know what I'm talking about)

^^^ I was literally grinning like an idiot when it happened

The end credits are beautiful, some people skipped them but I stayed because some of them were colored versions of the manga's cover art pages (for example Bon-chan on Impel Down's level 5.5 brief appearance)

Overall I think it's really worth watching, there are a lot of songs as Uta is literally the user of a singing-powered devil fruit, so if you don't like musicals a lot maybe it's not the best movie to go watch. However if you go watch it not for the songs and Uta herself but for Luffy, Shanks, etc then I recommend it 100%.

It left me with more questions than answers about Shanks, but then again they did distribute a special manga from the movie with character info, I couldn't get my hands on one but my sibling did so I just read theirs lol. I won't post pictures about it because spoiler reasons (hopefully ones the manga will show us someday, if it does in a more detailed way it'll be a huge impact on everyone who watches One Piece)

I can't believe I'll finally be able to watch One Piece Film Red! I've been waiting for so long and I think I've avoided spoilers like a pro so I'm going in without almost knowing anything about it (except characters and like 1 or 2 things, but nothing too important and I'm not even sure it was a real leak because I saw it ages ago)

I've been wanting to go watch it for so long I was even tempted to search it up online with subtitles even if it was on low quality, but I could stop myself from doing so!

- at first he doesn't quite understand that you don't want advice as much as comfort but once he gets it then he's really good at it

- don’t get me wrong, he is amazing at comforting you but you can tell how nervous he is the first few times

- he's never been the most apt listener in the world but he is good at it specifically for these situations

- because he's a simp but don't call him out cause he'll deny it with every bone in his body

- kinda has to ask his mum what to do because he's a little clueless but absolutely takes what she says to heart

- buys all your favourite junk food on the way to your house and then takes you out to cheer you up

- nothing like midnight mcdonalds with reki

- he tries his best to take you out and do things he knows will cheer you up, even if that means watching your oh-so cool boyfriend fall of his skateboard and eat shit on the floor

SHADOW

- please it would absolutely break his heart to see you upset

- does everything he can think of to make you feel better

- mainly things you've enjoyed in the past like buying you flowers, movie nights and bringing you food back from Joe's

- makes sure to compliment you extra hard the moment he notices your mood souring

- in general, he is such a sweet force to be around if you’re upset because it’s so obvious how much he cares about you and settling your mind down

- even if it’s out of his comfort zone, he knows yours so well and will do anything to keep a smile on your face

CHERRY

- immediately one of my best recommendations to go to when you're having a bad day

- simply because he just has such a calm aura and i such a good listener

- in a way that makes you feel listened to but also like you can say whatever you want

- will take you to get food or something once you've calmed down and ill either sit in silence with you or listen to you rant

- chances are, he's not one for trying to make you giggle but that's not always what you need

- he is such a calming force and even the feeling of his hands rubbing up and down your shoulder can make the stress of the day melt away

- if you end up crying, 10/10 will just cuddle you into his shoulder and hum until you feel better

- won't say a word past small comforting phrases until you're done crying and then he'll ask if you need anything

- most f the time it just ends with you curled under his arm in your bed, him cuddling away your bad day

KOJIRO

- I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say he might maybe cook you comfort food, who knows why?

- jkjk but seriously, this man has mastered every love language in the book and he knows which ones you react to best in whatever situations

- and he is so good at reading your emotions too, that the moment you walk in he knows exactly what kind of mood your in and starts trying his best to comfort you from the get go

- queue a smile and a ‘hi gorgeous, how was your day?’ Accompanied with a hug because he can tell you need it

- leads you to the sofa so you can cuddle into his side while you tell him about your day, making sure to keep his tension on you at all times to show you he cares

- seriously, he takes your bad days as like a personal offense from the universe because how dare something negative happen to his love

- twirls you around as soon as you get in the door, pulling you close and whispering 'what's got my little love so upset hmm?'

- has a weird way of showing it but is genuinely concerned about you

- but, obviously, ainosuke can't get too open about his feelings, comforting you is about as open as he goes

- gets your favourite food made by his chefs or delivered to his house and has it brought up to his bedroom

- where you two are curled up under mountains of pillows, you curled up on his chest

- if he is able to, he loves messing with your hair to calm you down, threading it through his fingers and scratching at your scalp

- will literally spoon feed you if he needs to, doesn't want his prince/princess getting too tired now

- one of the few times ainosuke is actually cute

- Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe

Again, amazing POC representation. Strangers to friends to lovers This one is a story about understanding the world and ourselves and learning how to thrust. It's sweet and beautiful in every way imaginable. 1st person POV tho. MLM

- Bloom into you

This one is a serie of mangas, but it's still amazing. It's the story of these two girls who meet at a school club and who will learn from each other. This book is about confidence, courage and self-growth. When reading the first one, you might think "Whoa, this moved fast", well, no. It's not the end after the first kiss. It's not even the beginning! You can also watch it streaming. WLW

- Good omens

Good omens is a book open to interpretation. There is no romance depicted, but it's a love story between a demon and an angel. It follows them from the beginning of humanity until Armageddon. The story also follows side characters, like the Them, the 4 horseman and a witch. This one is about trust, family and the fact that not everything is black or white. Hell, angels are the bad guys too in this! Great female and asexual/aromantic representation. You can also watch the mini-serie on Prime Video. It's worth it.

- Bloom

A graphic summer novel. The illustrations and the story are masterpieces, the characters are well-developed and it's overall heartwarming. The story follows Ari, a teen who wants to leave for the city, Hector, another teen who loves to bake, and their friends and family. Ari wants to leave the family bakery, so he needs replacement. Instead, he gets a co-worker, Hector. They learn from each other the entire book, live the summer of a lifetime and talk about their dreams. This book also has good POC and female representation. You should read it, it's not long. MLM

- They both die at the end

Yes, they do. It's not a spoiler, don't worry. This one will leave you crying on your bedroom floor at 3 am for hours. It's destroying in its beauty. The story follows two deckers, people who will die today, as they try to live an entire life in 24 hours. They, too, learn from each other and grow into happiness rapidly. Like I said, heartbreaking, so please look up the TW. You should definitely read that one. Bisexuality rep and POC. MLM

- Felix ever after

You might think "Can we have trans rep book?". Well, here it is! Felix ever after is the story of a trans male who still isn't sure of his identity. He was a boy, he knew that, but sometimes, it doesn't feel right. He also seeks first love and ends up in a love triangle involving someone he never thought he would fall for. Sadly, the story happens because of a transphobic character. So this books talks about that. It includes subjects like racism, transphobia and homophobia, but it's also a story of self-discovery and first love. Totally worth it! Amazing trans and POC representation. Read the TW. MLM

- are you listening?

Not a love story, but the characters are queer. It's a graphic fantasy novel, pretty long, but the illustrations are worth it. It follows two lesbians who are running away and a magical cat. They encounter magical beings, some friendly, others dangerous. As they try to escape them and their past, the two girls get to know each other more profoundly and they unpack their trauma to one another. This story is about recovery and self-love. Totally worth it. Please read the TW.

- The House In The Cerulean Sea

This, this one^ It's THE one! Totally heartwarming book about difference, family and love. The story follows Linus Baker, a case worker, when he comes to Marysas Island to investigate an orphanage for magical youths. During his one month stay there, he learns what it's like to have a home and a family to go to. He also falls in love with the master of the orphanage, Arthur Parnassus. But Arthur has secrets too. The story of The House In The Cerulean Sea is an enchanting love story masterfully told. Really worth its critics. POC representation. MLM and side WLW

And finally

- The song of Achilles

Oh was that one an emotional rollercoaster. The book is historical fiction, it's the story of Achilles and Patroclus told in the Illiad. It will also leave you crying your eyes out at 3 am, on your bedroom floor. It's an amazingly told story of a romance while in time of war. The story is one of self-discovery, growth, love and trust. It is simply beautiful. We follow the characters from age ~10 to their death, which are young, but there are time skips to get to interesting parts. The heroes get seperated, reunited, seperated again, but their love for each other never ceases. Read the TW. MLM

10 lessons I learned from the first 10 days of Ramadan 🌙

(personal, subjective, and in no particular order)

1) It's a constant work and it doesn't get easier. This is the first thing that came into my mind. As a matter of fact, the daily routine of this month is no joke, whichever deeds you try to perform and incorporate in your deen from the 5 obligatory prayers, to the sunnah, to the nawafil, to the azkar, to the Qur'an recitation, to the daily x number of istighfar you promised yourself you'd achieve, it is a lot of work, especially if you have a family to take care of, a job or school to go to, or more critically, if your mental health is not at its best condition. Every day (or night), you get out of bed and you're back at square one, you have all this list of tasks to do, and it gets a lot some times, and you do feel exhausted (but if you are among the lucky ones, then it is the good kind of exhausted), and it's not like your prayers are gonna perform themselves, you have to ger up, you have to act. That's why you need to constantly remind yourself why you are doing this in the first place. What is the point of fasting and waking up in the middle of the night to pray and spending hours throughout the day just remembering Allah swt and reading his book, etc. You have to remind yourself of the ultimate purpose of this month, that we are sacrificing the worldly pleasures for the sake of Allah swt, to gain Taqwa, to be in a state of constante awareness and consciousness of Allah's presence, to get closer to Allah swt the most gracious the most merciful, and that if we don't actually put on some work and effort, we won't get to where we want to go, we won't achieve any of that. It is good to keep things in perspective. Be aware of what you are doing, where you are now, where do you wanna go and what it takes to get you there. If it's constant work and effort, then be it.

2) You can't achieve anything by yourself, your intentions are not enough, you need Allah's support. In fact, for the first couple of days I was so confused, I had to ask my sisters " If the devils are all locked away, why do I feel like I can't focus? " And I was constantly asking myself, if I have already prepared, downloaded the calendars and planners, put up a big board on my bedroom wall, etc., Why do I feel like my Iman is getting low?, AstaghfiruAllah. Aren't we supposed to feel on cloud nine? In a state of pure bliss? And then I came across a khutbah where the Sheikh may Allah swt bless him answered my question. He explained that even though Shaytan is locked away, he has already programmed us, for 11 months (he even made a joke that Shaytan deserves a month off because he has been working too hard for the rest of the year). Anyways, what I realized is even your will and your plans and your excitement about Ramadan and your promises to do so and so deeds is not enough if you don't ask Allah swt for support, for sabr, for guidance, for help, for strength to be able to fulfill those ibadat and carry out the plans you have made for this month. You need to constantly ask Allah swt because who else is our refuge? Who else is our source of strength and patience ? Who else will keep us steadfast on the straight path? And who else is gonna help us against the traps of Shaytan? No matter how willing or excited or determined you are to perform your prayers, finish reading the Qur'an, etc, you still need Allah swt to bless your deeds, every step of the way. Without Him, nothing can be achieved. So in your sujood, ask Him that He give you enough strength to finish that prayer in full Khushoo' and concentration, and after that prayer, ask him for sabr and strength to manage to perform the next one and the one after. Tell Him that you seek refuge in Him from the traps of Shaytan, from laziness and lethargy, from the disoriented heart and the distracted mind. Show Him that you are vulnerable and that even though you are trying to do this for Him, you actually can't do it without Him. SubhanAllah.

3) Forgive yourself when you fall short.

{يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَ}

{God intends for you ease and does not want hardship for you}

Allah swt literally said this in Surat Al Baqara (The Cow) when he prescribed Fasting upon us and introduced us to the holy month of Ramadan. Soz read it again. As simple as that, I am not gonna develop this idea further.

4) No matter how much you prepared before Ramadan came, you aren't prepared enough. Well, are you familiar with the saying that Ramadan is like a marathon and you have to prepare for it way before? That's actually true. And guess what? No matter how much you think you are prepared, there are still gonna be some moments when you'd still feel out of breath, where you wish you'd have prepared more. May Allah swt make us reach the end of this month smoothly and seamlessly. May Allah swt bless us and accept our deeds from beginning to end.

5) Our deeds don't get accepted because they're good enough, they get accepted because Allah is merciful. I heard this in a youtube khutba just last night and it resonated with me. Put this in your mind, learn it by heart, print it out on your forehead if necessary! No matter how perfect you think your deeds are, they won't get accepted because you're an amazing slave of Allah swt and you win at worship and ibadah. Don't get too confident, beware of arrogance, control your ego. Stay humble and know your place. The only reason why your deeds would be accepted is because Allah swt will have mercy on you, not because you are so good that your deeds would qualify you for forgiveness and acceptance. So pray that Allah swt accepts our deeds and pray that he encompasses us with His mercy.

6) Don't compare to others, don't get intimidated by others, we are not on the same journey. Walk your own rocky path. I can't stress this enough. I know a lot of brothers and sisters Mashaa'Allah, Allahuma barik, are overachievers, or they might just be out of our league. And sometimes, through social media, we see what they share (in their attempt to motivate us and share some tips and good deeds, spread the knowledge, May Allah swt bless them, accept their deeds and reward them), so we get intimidated. Sometimes it feels like what we are doing is not good enough because it doesn't even compare to what X or Y are doing. And we feel a bit scared that we are not good enough of slaves for Allah swt or that Allah swt wouldn't be pleased with us like He swt would be pleased with them, and we can even feel unworthy and get discouraged ( beware it's a shaytan trap). It is simple though, your path to Allah swt is very personal. What a brother or a sister does only get to inspire you not discourage you or intimidate you. When you see someone sharing something good or beneficial, make duaa for them and make duaa for yourself then leave it at that. Competition is taking over every aspect of our worldly life, we shouldn't let it mess with this sacred part as well. And remember, we are not all on the same journey to Allah swt. It is okay if you can't recite the Qur'an in such a beautiful way or if you can't pray 10 rakaas of Taraweeh, it is okay if you can't read in Arabic or if you don't learn any hadith by heart. Allah swt is patient enough and considerate enough. Scratch that, He swt is the most patient, the most considerate, the most gracious, the most generous, and He appreciates your effort. What matters for Him is your sincerity and the purity of your intentions.

7) The less food you take, the more energy you will have. FACTS. I mean, imagine the struggle of having to pray Ishaa and Taraweeh on a full stomach where every time you get down for sujood you feel like your soup is coming up :/ Allahu almusta'aan. This month is not about feasting. It is literally about giving up pleasures (food being one of them) to focus on Allah. So, Focus on what's important and set your priorities straight.

8) Don't overdue it. Beware of the ghost of Burnout. So yeah, like I already said earlier, it is a lot of work and it requires preparation and constant effort. The aim is to be at our best shape of health and Iman on the last 10 nights because they are the most sacred, the most important, the most blessed. You might wanna consider starting small with your deeds and building up slowly. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds will not make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the most regular and constant even if it were little." [Al Bukhari]

9) Personalize your ibadat / plans. In other words, do what's best for you and what's beneficial for you. Define your weaknesses and the areas in which you want to improve. Don't just do this or that deed because everyone else is doing them. Do not follow blindly. What is good for you might not be the thing recommended or done by the others. And what you need on your faith journey is not what X or Y needs. You will be judged on your own deeds, your own journey. Have a purpose and a reason for what you are doing and why you are doing that. Also, the more you feel like your plan or your routine is personal, the more you can relate to it and connect with it, the more sincere you will be, the more excited and enthousiastic you will be, and the easier it will be for you to perform your ibadat in Shaa Allah.

10) Too much information can be poisonous. If ,like me, you got into a habit of watching lectures and videos of speakers this Ramadan, then breaking news: it might get confusing. I don't want you to feel lost and confused. Allahima barik the resources are countless and limitless. But also, you have to beware whom you listen to. There are different sects, different perspectives, different rulings on certain things. So, try not take things blindly. Take them with a pinch of salt and always try to do a background check. And eventually, when it gets too much, always choose what's best for your heart, because we are created with an innate sense of "right" , our fitrah is sane, Alhamdulillah. So, try to be critical. Allah swt even recommends that.

THE BEST KDRAMAS -

mystic pop up bar - this show had everything i ask from a kdrama literally i can name it all found family (to real family), well thought out characters, a mystery plot, special effects, soft romances that were well written, a happy ending! no show in 2020 even comes close to how good this one was! the writers literally guided you throughout the whole thing so you could come up with theories and didn’t do a ‘aha! gotcha’ thing where they want to prove the audience wrong but they wanted us to be right and satisfied! the worst part about the drama is that it’s still so underrated and people just brush it off as some random fantasy show but it’s so much more than that! 1000/10

flower of evil - who doesn’t want to see lee joon gi being the son of a serial killer, living with the name of a man who is in a coma, and hiding his real identity from his wife who is a detective? this show constantly had me at the edge of my seat on a weekly basis so the emotions i went through while watching this are unparalleled! the writers also did such a good job on writing a coherent story that made sense and tied up all the plot points in the end. just a really satisfying show to watch! 10/10

where your eyes linger - i literally bought a $8 viki pass to watch this show so it should tell you everything you need to know about how i feel ahsjsj the episodes were 10 minutes long but we got a good story with well written characters who got character development in a total of 80 minutes it’s insane! honestly it’s still hard to believe this show had rookie actors because they were just so emotive that you could feel all the happiness, sadness, yearning and pining! probably one of my fave kdramas this year because of the acting that i always constantly rewatch! would recommend 10/10

crash landing on you - okay so this drama was actually released on my birthday last year and it was a time in my life when i was going through a lot so maybe it’s the comfort this show provided me through that time this is why i have such a soft spot for it? like the romance was good, it was funny, there was found family, the nk soldiers were all softies, there were strong female leads, soft male leads!!! ahh!! no other show on this list made me think about the unification of south korea and north korea irl because i wanted se ri and jeong hyeok to be together 4ever! but the only issue i had with this show was the ending they gave seung jun if they didn’t do that i’d give this show a 10/10 but just for that they get a 9/10

psycho but it’s okay - this was one of those shows where you’re literally like ‘wow everyone here needs therapy’ but this show was amazing i loved the story telling and how each episode related to children’s book/fairytales! the writers also did a good job with how carefully they talked about mental health in depth without villainising their characters but actually tried to make the audience understand why they were this way which included all the side characters too who had a well thought out story in each episode! also the dynamic between moon young, kang tae and sang tae was everything to me the actors all did an amazing job portraying their characters, it truly was a healing drama. the only thing i didn’t like about this show was the whole plastic surgery plot with the mother like that was very far fetched but it provided drama so i’ll let it slide because the rest was amazing. this show is a solid 8.5/10

18 again - another underrated gem! who would’ve thought a remake of that zac efron movie could be this good!! lee do hyun stole this show for sure the way he portrayed his character and gave heart eyes to his kids (when he’s only 25 irl was the best thing i saw this year ahsjs) i loved the family dynamics in this show, i loved how it talked about what it’s like to be young parents and how society still think it’s taboo to be divorced! it’s a show that makes you laugh and cry at the same time and that’s why everyone should watch it! however, the biggest clown thing this show did to me though was that i got sls for the first time while watching a kdrama... hwang in yeop if u’re reading this i love u and u deserved better 🤡 that aside this show was a 8/10

itaewon class - i actually didn’t watch this drama as it was airing because i thought i wouldn’t enjoy the plot but when i watched it i binged the whole thing in 2 days and my biggest regret is i didn’t watch it sooner! everyone knows i have a soft spot for park seo joon since he’s my favourite actor i’ve literally watched all his dramas like he could star in the trashiest drama out there and i’d still watch it and be like wow (looking at she was pretty 👀) this show aside from the acting had one of the best revenge plots in a kdrama! just watching a character realistically hustle his way to reach the top while fighting the corrupt man whose son killed his father was so so satisfying to watch! however, the love triangle in this show was questionable idk what they were trying to do with that but it personally annoyed me! but still i’ll give this show a 7.5/10 because i enjoyed it a lot!

do you like brahms? - kim min jae and park eun bin.. that’s all you need to know about why this is a good kdrama! i’m usually not a big fan of melodramas and everyone knows i prefer rom coms but this show was just so perfectly melo that i loved all the angst and pain we got!! also just watching two introverted people awkwardly fall in love was amazing! the characters story arcs were also handled pretty well with song ah finally learning to speak up for herself and joon young learning to express how he truly feels! but... the love square? was probably the most annoying thing the rest in my opinion was nicely done! i know people had mixed feelings about the ending but i loved that after all the pain joon young and song ah went through they got a happy ending together! 7/10

find me in your memory - okay this show started off very slow and it was confusing at the start but as it progressed everything in the plot started to fall into place! i mean this show really took opposites attract to a new level where the male lead could remember every single detail from his life but the female lead had to forget some of her traumatic memories to help her cope with her life! they were also tied together through a mutual character who was a big part of their lives in a different way! just an interesting melodrama with interesting characters i liked it! and moon ga young... i love you queen!!! 7/10

THE MEDIOCRE KDRAMAS -

more than friends - was the storytelling in this show groundbreaking? no. was the acting decent? yes. also probably the main reason i stuck with this show until the end! i think we can all agree lee soo had the best character development on this show he started off as a bad boy who wore one ear stud to actually becoming a well liked character... who else did it like him? no one. also the chemistry between the mains was 🔥 but the second male lead was so annoying is there a opposite word for second lead syndrome because i had that for sure! i think the best part about this show was the people i watched it with on here... shoutout to the five of us ahsjsj also this show introduced me to a talented actor/singer like ong seong wu (y’all know my kpop knowledge is nonexistent so no i didn’t know he was in a band called wanna one) all in all a predictable show but i had fun watching it so 6.5/10

tale of the nine tailed - i didn’t actually watch this show i watched it through gifs and instagram posts ahsjsjs so am i qualified to talk about my opinion definitely no... will I talk about it anyways yes lmao. lee rang deserved better that’s all goodbye and take care. 5.5/10

start up - probably one of the most awaited opinions. y’all thought this would be in the worst kdramas section but i decided to give this show some rights. the show started off strong, lost it’s way after episode 6 and then the last episode gave me what i wanted so i have mixed feelings. the writing was not the best i think we can all agree, love triangle as a plot device? wow so groundbreaking 🤡 the characters on the other hand... i loved every single one of them i mean ship wars? i don’t know her. the show had a lot of potential that was wasted but we also got some cute moments between the characters so there was really no winning or losing with this show? but in all honesty you can’t put a talented cast together like this and then just decide to give the audience a mediocre plot but the writers did exactly that! i think i can redirect y’all to my ‘crimes this show committed’ post for a in-depth analysis. lastly nam do san was a GOOD and REFRESHING male lead and ji pyeong was also a GOOD and FUN second male lead!!! this show gave me the ugliest ship war ever that i was transported back to my high school tvd days so thank you for that!! but the cast was loveable and all had a lot of chemistry together so here’s a 5/10 maybe that's too generous but... i think the reason why i didn't enjoy watching this show as much was definitely because of the tag on here lmao

THE WORST KDRAMAS -

the king eternal monarch - i miss clowning this show so much. the amount of braincells i lost while trying to understand this plot... i should be compensated by the writers. however, woo do hwan was a treat to look at on a weekly basis... however the writers kept decreasing his screen time even though he had a dual role... make it make sense? and i cannot comment on the plot of this show because i still don’t understand anything? also in my opinion tae eul and lee gon were the most bland couple of 2020, there was no chemistry between them and there was just a random kiss in episode 5 and they randomly said i love you... where was the development? also lee gon was soooo boring and such a one dimensional male lead! literally all the side characters were so much more interesting and the cast was good... but this plot. 2/10

do do sol sol la la sol - i wanna fight the writer who decided that the plot twist on the show would be that jun is a minor? i had no expectations from this show but it looked cute and nonsensical but that plot twist made me run the other way so fast that i never looked back! just because jun is a boy they really thought this would be excused like lmao we all have critical thinking skills???? the clown behaviour. a solid 1/10

record of youth - i hate this show so much. imagine not utilising park so dam who just starred in the biggest oscar winning movie to her full potential. imagine just making her a love interest to park bo gum’s character in the year 2020. i watched it up until episode 6 and i kept waiting for her character to get development... but it never happened so i dropped this show. also this show featured the MOST useless love triangle i have ever seen in my life like what was the point? also park bo gum’s characters family was straight up annoying (minus the grandpa) but they got so much screen time like that should’ve been given to park so dam... also villainising a gay side character for no reason at all in the year 2020? this show was a waste of my time i want the 6 hours i spent watching this back. -100/10 

backstreet rookie - i watched one episode of this and literally wanted to rip my eyeballs out of my head. idk what ji chang wook was thinking when he signed this drama i think he lost his ability to read because that's the only reasonable explanation for why he chose to star in such a dumpster fire show! this show had a racist character... had a high schooler kiss an adult... sexist jokes... just the worst things you can think of in a drama... this show had it. i still can’t believe so many people watched this show to the point where it had better ratings than pbio... really made me question everyone’s taste? but sorry can’t relate my taste is excellent so here’s the rating this show actually deserves -1000/10

This is the epilogue to my Forget Me Not Series. I 10/10 recommend reading it! It only has five parts, but I promise you won’t regret it.

It’s warm. Soft and secure. Fingertips trail over your skin, his nails softly scratch your flesh, bringing bumps to rise. His large hands circle around your navel and up your sternum, sending shivers down to your toes. You gasp and smile when he grips your mound, squeezing and kneading your soft flesh.

A head rests against your neck, slotted between your ear and shoulder. His scruff tickles and you gleam at the feel. He presses lazy kisses to your skin, his teeth sometimes grazing and nipping at you. Your feet entangle with his beneath the blankets, your own foot running up and down his leg.

He rolls on top of you, his biceps bulging on either side of your face as he holds himself above you. A wide smile lights up his face as he peers down at you. You can’t help yourself but to reach up and cup either side of his handsome head.

“So handsome.”

It’s the first words uttered of the entire day. You’d think that they would break the trance the two of you have entrapped one another with. But no, instead they rather allow the two of you to fall even further. Further down the deep hole of love and adoration. That intoxicating feeling of being wanted.

He swoops down to catch your lips in a kiss. “Mmm, so beautiful.”

You smile about as wide as your muscles will allow. A giggle makes its way from your throat as you wrap your arms around his neck. He continues to kiss across your face.

“Thank you.” You rub your nose against his.

He shuffles down and rests his head on your stomach, his arms wrapping around and beneath your waist. You smile and start to scratch at his scalp. He hums in approval as you start twirling his curls between your fingers.

You look up at the ceiling, basking in his warmth and loving touch. He tilts his head just enough to press a kiss to your stomach.

It’s been about a year since the incident. Everyday gets easier… well, easier is not the word to use. It has never been easy. Everyday gets smoother, less painful. And most of that is because of the support your husband offers you. He has offered nothing but love and care, always making sure you’re okay.

“What are you thinking about cyare?”

You look down at him and he turns to rest his chin on your sternum, his warm brown eyes meeting your own. Smiling you continue to twirl his curls around your fingers. “If only it was that simple, to be able to put words to my feelings.”

He chuckles, “I see we’re poetic today.”

You glare at him and playfully tug at his hair. “Don’t be mean.”

His slides up your body. “I’m not being mean.” You have to bite back a smile when his bottom lip pushes out and his eyebrows furrow in the cutest pout you’ve ever seen.

You can’t help but to play along for a second. Grabbing his face, you look at him as serious as you can. “Oh but you are. You’re not appreciating me.”

He whines as he falls onto your body. An oof is pushed from your lips as he crashes onto you. It’s amazing how this man can be terrifying in public and yet, in the confines of your home, become a big oversized dog. Your point only being proven when he whines about you forgiving him as he rubs his face all over your neck.

His scruff tickles and his fingers pinch your waist, finding your most ticklish spots. Your feet start to kick as it becomes overwhelming. Your giggles turn into laughs as you try to push him off of you. “Okay, okay I forgive you! Please, just stop.” Your words are broken up by gasps and cries.

He finally pulls away and his hands still. A large smile on his face. That big goofy smile that makes your brain short circuit and every thought cease. That smile that has saved you from the harsh thoughts in your head. That smile that promises you comfort when the world seems to crumble all around you.

“I love you.” The words fall from your mouth before you even realize it.

You’re awarded with another kiss. “I love you too.”

It’s the second year since the incident. The two of you are huddle together beneath a blanket as the sun casts pinks and oranges throughout the sky. Your head rests on his shoulder as his hand idly runs up and down your thigh.

Just as the medic said all that time ago, you’ve slowly started to gain back memories. Small moments where reality seems to piece two scenes together. A fast flash of what once was.

Then there’s large memories that almost knock you off of your feet. Memories that always hold so much emotion and love within them.

“Cyare, does it still bother you?”

You know what he’s asking about. The first year after the incident was hard. Sometimes it would just all become too much, pain bubbling up into a suffocating hold. Those days were the worst, when you could do nothing but cry.

Taking a deep breath you exhale and place your hand over his. “It will always bother me, but it is what it is. There is nothing more we can do and I’m happy that I remember what I do.”

He nods his head, slowly to show his understanding.

You turn to look at him, watching his eyes flicker over the landscape as the stars start to reveal themselves. “Do you remember one of the first things you told me after that day?”

He turns to look at you, eyes swirling with adoration and curiosity. His head tilts and the overwhelming feeling of pure love washes over you when you meet those sparkling brown eyes. “No.”

Pressing your forehead against his, you close your eyes and sigh. “It’s something that I think whenever I get into that state and it always calms me down.” He nods, waiting for his old phrase. “You said that even if I forgot everything, we still would have our entire lives to make new memories.”

His hand moves to cup your cheek, holding you so softly, as if he grabbed too hard you would shatter. “Cyare…”

“Those words, they meant… they mean everything to me.” You have to stop yourself because a sob cuts in. Shakily breathing in, you press a kiss to his lips and then pull away. “Thank you.”

You lean back and turn towards the sunset, once again resting your head on his shoulder. The two of you just sit in silence. Birds fly above you as they head to their homes for the night. A soft wind rustles the grass and wildflowers surrounding you two. His hand goes back to rubbing your thigh.

“Ni kar’tayl gar darasuum, par gar cuyir ner kar’ta.”

You smile, a single tear falls down your face. His proverb, the one he utters to you anytime he can. He’d sing it to you, yell it out for the entire world to hear, scream it if he had to. But you both know that would be unnecessary. Because as long as you two know, then that is the only thing that matters.

The two of you know that even as you grow old and grey, wrinkly and barely able to hear one another, those words will always entrap your souls together. Intertwining them to never be unraveled. Even if your last memory was truly your last, you know he will always love you, just as you’ll always love him.

Even on your deathbed, your old shaky hands clutching one another you know he’ll always love you, just as he knows you’ll always love him.

And finally when your time comes and you take one last look at the world, you’ll utter those words to him, a smile on your face as your eyes close; a promise to see him again.

I know you forever, for you are my heart.

Top 10 2020 Anime

Hello everyone! Its the last day of 2020, and like with every year, here is my top 10 anime list. This list covers anime that aired this year only :) Hopefully you can use this list as a recommendation for something to watch. But tbh this list is for me to remember which wonderful anime made my year a little brighter :D I apologize for any typos lol.

1.) Tower of God

AHHH! I love Tower of God so much!! So, I almost dropped it at episode 1 because I was really confused. But I stuck with it and I’m glad I did. Tower of God gave me HxH vibes, but it was still different enough where I didn’t need to compare the two. The opening and ending by Stray Kids was amazing too.

Because I loved Tower of God so much, I made a Webtoon account and ever since then I’ve been hooked on Webtoons. I’m really glad they partnered with Crunchyroll to bring us this anime!

I read the TOG Webtoon and it explained things a lot better. I highly recommend going to read it after watching the anime!

I hope there is a season 2, but I won’t get my hopes up :( I’m sure this anime was just advertisement for the comic.

2.) Great Pretender

WIT Studio has done it again. First with Attack on Titan, then Seraph of the End. They keep bringing me my favorite animes.

I love animes that feature a found family, and cons. Great Pretender brought all of that and more. Great characters, jokes, missions, and music. The music in Great Pretender is fantastic (I mean the ending song is a Queen song!)

I still stand by my opinion that Part 1 was better. I wasn’t a huge fan of season 2 and the ending as well. I think they dropped the ball. But I still won’t let that stop me from recommending it to you! It was still fun to watch :D

3.) Weathering With You

So, I have been a fan of Makoto Shinkai’s movies for a long time (5 Centimeters Per Second will always have a special place in my heart). So, when I saw that Weathering With You was coming to the movie theater, I immediately purchased a ticket. It was such a surreal experience watching in the theaters.

This was the last movie I saw in theaters before...you know >.> I’m glad this movie was my last too. It makes it even more special.

Everyone, please go see this movie. It’s beautiful. It will make you laugh and cry. I left the theater with tears in my eyes. It was such a amazing experience. I’m patiently waiting for his next movie!

4.) Kaguya Sama: Love is War Season 2

My favorite rom-com returned with a season 2. The opening is still stuck in my head. It always will be lol.

Anyway, this season was not only hilarious, but there was development between Kaguya and Miyuki <3

Miko IIno was also a interesting character. She is so different from everyone else, so I’m excited to see how being on the student council will change her. Maybe she and Ishigami will start to get long lol.

Another thing that made this season special was Ishigami’s backstory, and how Miyuki saved him. I just really love their bromance, okay?

5.) Jujutsu Kaisen

I’ve been hyped for this anime for like a year! When it was announced last November, I was like AFJAIOFJAOGLJMAPOGJ

I love the manga, and the adaption is doing a fantastic job so far. I definitely ended up loving Sukuna more due to the anime adaption though lmaooo.

Not a lot to say here except, go watch Jujutsu Kaisen <3 and read the manga!

6.) Moriarty the Patriot

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this anime or not. I only started watching it because people said Sebastian Moran was Daddy! Kuroo lmaooo

But I have to say...I do like that Albert was like “Oh yes lets bring William and Albert into our home” then William was like “Haha hey Albert do you hate the upper class and nobility too? You wanna murder your brother and parents, burn down the house, and reform society?” And Albert is like “DON’T MIND IF I DO!” (The Moriarty brothers are wild af, my God.)

I liked each individual case, and it got even more intense when Sherlock and John were introduced. Super excited for season 2!

The opening and ending songs are also fantastic. Go give them a listen!

7.) Digimon Adventure 2020/Digimon Adventure Tri/Last Evolution Kizuna

Tfw you go to buy tickets Digimon Last Evolution Kizuna, but all the movie theaters shut down :(

ANYWAY

I was super hyped when Last Evolution Kizuna was announced, and then the reboot of the 1999 anime. I finished up Digimon Adventure Tri...which could’ve been better tbh. I only liked the first three movies, so at least I got some good content out of them lol.

I like the new spin on the new Digimon anime, and I’m excited to see what they’ll do next. I kinda want a reboot of 02 Digimon...and Digimon Tamers and Frontier, but that may be pushing it lmao.

Last Evolution Kizuna was absolutely phenomenal. It was the perfect 20th anniversary movie :)

8.) Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun

Another show I started at the beginning of the year! I read the manga in 2019, and I was happy to hear it was getting a anime adaption! I enjoyed this series a lot, and I really want there to be a second season. I feel like some stuff was left out. But the anime might have been created just to promote the manga.

The opening song, the different wonders of the school, and the art style quickly made this one of my favorites!

9.) Idolish7 Second Beat

Idolish7 is vastly underrated. It’s more than just pretty guys singing and dancing. Every character in the show has gone through their own hardships, and all the characters are fleshed out well.

The second season did not disappoint. It still served me with a good dose of angst, drama, and comedy.

And season 3 was announced!!! I wasn’t expecting that, so that surprise made me really happy <3.

I was really sad when Idolish7 stopped airing back in the spring, but I’m glad they were able to finish up the season this year :D

10.) Haikyuu!! To the Top

Alright, so my excitement deflated when Part 1 aired back in January. I hated the new art style and while Part 1 did have some good character development moments, I was really bored :/

The OVAs were really good though >.> I love Nekoma and Fukrodani so those were fun to watch.

Part 2 was a 100 times better. I accepted the fact that the art style wasn’t going to change and we wouldn’t have those cute breaks where the volleyball players would serve the ball and hit the water bottle. Once I got over that, I found myself enjoying part 2.

The two Nekoma episodes,the episodes focusing on the Miya Twins and Kita were my personal favorites. But overall, Karasuno vs. Inarizaki was fantastic and I enjoyed it a lot!

I need season 5 to be announced already!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!

That's a tough question, there's so many good ones. If I really had to pick though, it'd be Brickoppy. . . and Breek don't judge me.

11. And, on the other side of the coin, who’s your NOTP in the franchise?

Like I said, there's a lot of good ships in the Trolls franchise. The only one I'm not a fan of is the heteronormative interpretation of Broppy.

Ooh, here's a fun one! Prepare yourself, I'm 'boutta dump my entire collection of bookmarks on you guys. Fair warning, some haven't been updated in years, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be completed one day!

Also, some of these do have sexual content, or potentially triggering subject matter, so I highly advise you read the tags before you start reading.

A Healthy Balance by Toxicthecat4836 is also a really good one. It's essentially a more fleshed out rewrite of the first movie. I find it really interesting because it doesn't feel like you're just reading the movie, it's an engaging story in it's own right.

Edit: Do not, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, harass or guilt the authors into updating. I do not care if they haven't updated in 4 days or 4 years. They will write at their own pace and it's our responsibility as readers to respect and support them. They are human beings, and they should be treated as such.

A Calming Bothersome Trip by WeirdNCrazy is a great one, to start off. It's set in AU where Branch is sent by King Peppy to act as an ambassador to the other 5 kingdoms. And there's found family! It's completed and 30 chapters long.

Come Hell or High Waters, I'll Stay by Your Side by FictionalDragonMother (@thicctails). This one is really interesting because it explores an AU where the trolls have more animalistic qualities like claws, fur patterns, and tails, with Branch and Cooper making contact with the other tribes several years before the first movie. Branch also struggles with his sense of belonging due to his parentage that’s being kept a secret from him.

When the Falls Turn Amethyst by Lawlly. This one is a Soulmate AU, as well as an AU where Branch doesn't regain his color and Creek doesn't turn traitor. Poppy makes Branch and Creek roommates after Creek’s pod gets destroyed, and they’re forced to confront their conflicting feelings about each other.

Bluetiful by PhoenixDiamond (@queentitan). Branch x Hefty is a ship I never thought I'd be into, but here I am. Their dynamic is so exciting to read as they figure each other out and fall in love on the way, and the dynamics between the Smurfs and the Trolls in general are very interesting, but I don’t want to spoil anything on that end.

Lean On Me by PriestessOfNox (@priestessofnox). This one was actually inspired by Bluetiful and diverges from the original fanfic after the fourth chapter. It is 78 chapters long people! And it's not even done! I can't deal, I can't even put to words how much I love this fanfic. You just gotta read it to get it. There are discussions of sexual assault and one flashback in chapter 52, but it doesn’t get very graphic.

It Hits You Like A Train by QueenEchidna. Another Breek fanfic. The pining is immaculate in this one, and their dynamic super fluffy without sacrificing their individual personalities. However, I will warn you, there is a flashback at the end of chapter 7 containing domestic violence and explicit sexual assault that isn't between the main pairing. If either of those are triggers for you, I would not recommend reading this one, or the end of that specific chapter at the very least.

Destiny's Bloom by PhoenixDiamond. This one is kind of a Soulmate AU but they don't use the word. Creek and Branch find out they're partners and try to have their partnership nullified, which ends up backfiring, and now they have to learn to live together, while learning more about each other beyond their perceptions of the other and tentatively rekindling their childhood friendship. (I am just now realizing that most of the Breek fanfics I read make them share a space before it gets to the romance bits and I don’t know if I should laugh at that or not)

All Trolls Used to Go to Heaven by PriestessOfNox. Crossovers are amazing, especially this one. It's loosely inspired by All Dogs Go to Heaven, where Creek resurrects himself with the watch of his life after getting eaten by the hill monster to save Poppy from an afterlife in purgatory. What really drew me in though is the mystery. You can't glean anything about where the plot will go from the tags because there's only 3. It's rated Teen though so I wouldn't worry about it going into 18+ territory.

Automatic by AllCatsUnite. Poppy strikes a deal with Branch that, in exchange for a month of no over the top parties or musical numbers, Creek will teach him about meditation for a month. They end up accidently bonding, and start hanging out together of their own volition.

'It's romantic.' Sirius raised his eyebrow. 'Okay, I saw a couple do it on TikTok, but it was really romantic.'

'But do they play ice-hockey for a living?'

'Baby, we can stay there and have dinner and look at the stars. We can stay as long as we want. Please?' Sirius was persuaded at the word baby.

Sirius hadn't exactly known what made him agree -it was the word baby- but now he stood in front of a completely frozen lake. It felt different without his protection gear and with the fact that there was ice-cold water underneath the ice. A vivid memory of 10-year old Sirius came up.

It had been his first time skating on natural ice, but I wasn't cold enough. Sirius had taken one step on the ice and his foot went right through. The worst part was that no one seemed to care, except for Regulus. It was when Sirius started to realize they simply didn’t care about anything other than his reputation.

'Pads?' Remus' warm voice broke through the memory. 'Are you alright? You don’t have to skate if you don’t want to.'

'No, I want to.' He tried to smile. 'I'm sorry.'

'No need to be sorry, come, I'll help you.' Remus carefully stepped on the ice and Sirius almost winced at the thought of Remus falling through.

But when Remus took his hand all the ghosts from his past seemed to fade away and he realized that for once in his life there was nothing holding him back from being happy.

'I got you. One foot first.' Remus helped Sirius on the ice. 'Love you. Now let's go skate, shall we?'

Sirius laughed as Remus dragged him to the middle of the lake where loads of families were already skating together.

'Honey, like you said, this is your job,' Remus laughed when Sirius slipped.

'It's the ice! It's different!' He said, but he was laughing too.

'Sure, baby.' Sirius grabbed Remus' arm and pulled him on the ice with him. 'Sirius!'

He just laughed and tried to stand up and skate away, but Loops was put on the Lions team for a reason. Remus had reached him within a minute.

'Were we planning on going somewhere?' Remus' smile still gave Sirius butterflies sometimes.

'Sir?' A small girl looked up to Remus. 'How did you learn to skate so fast?' For a second he hesitated and then he lowered himself to eyelevel with the girl.

'Hi, what is your name?'

'Everly, but, Sir, how did you skate so fast?'

'Everly, manners!' a woman interrupted her. 'I'm sorry, she's six and, well, hard to control.'

'Oh that's alright,' Remus said. 'Hi Everly, my name is Remus Lupin. I play professional ice-hockey. But I can teach you some tricks. If that's alright with your mother, of course.' Sirius heart almost melted at the sight.

'Mommy, can I please skate with Remus?' The girl tried her best to look cute and Sirius had to admit that she was almost as cute as Remus.

'You are- That means you are Sirius Black, I thought I recognized you! Ev, stay in sight, okay?' She gave her daughter a stern look and then smiled. Both her and Sirius watched them skate away.

'I'm sorry, kids seem to automatically have thing for Remus. I can't say I don't understand them, though I hope it's a different kind of thing.' The woman laughed at Sirius', slightly awkward, but apparently successful ice-breaker.

'My name is Sarah by the way. I heard everything about you and Remus on the new some months ago, that must've been hard.' Sirius normally wouldn’t answer to this, but Sarah had somewhat the same motherly energy that both Hope Lupin and Celeste Dumais had, though maybe a little less.

'It wasn't, but it got us here.' She smiled at him.

'I'm glad it did.' She turned around to look for something. 'Oh, Jack! I am so sorry, my toddler just learned how to walk and Cecile and I have trouble getting him to not walk on the ice.' She smiled apologetically. 'Could you give a shout if something happens with Everly?' Sirius nodded. 'Thank you, darling,' she said as she skated to her wife and son.

Sirius saw her kiss her wife, Cecile, on the cheek and bow down over the toddler and he couldn’t deny that he wanted that. Someday. With Remus.

Then he felt a weight against his back and arms around his hips. 'Hey baby,' Remus whispered. Sirius turned around and kissed his boyfriend.

'Where is your little admirer?'

'She's showing her mom all the tricks I taught her.'

'You'd be a great dad.' Remus seemed a little taken aback by that.

'You would too.'

Sirius couldn’t hold it in. 'I want that. Someday.'

'Me too.' Remus couldn’t hold back a smile and kissed Sirius again. 'Love you,' he whispered against his boyfriends lips.

'Hmm, love you too,' Sirius replied.

'Do you want to sit down and eat something? I brought chocolate.'

'of course you did.'

Hours later, both Remus and Sirius were getting tired. They had skated, talked and exchanged contact with Sarah and her family and Remus had eaten a shocking amount of chocolate. They had been snuggled on a thick blanket with another blanket over them in a tent-like contraption for an hour now. Remus was the first to notice it was getting dark.

'Pads. Pads, we can see the stars now,' he whispered to a half-asleep Sirius. He took his hand and dragged him up. Let's go on the ice, there is the least unnatural light.' Remus began walking.

'Honey, you forgot your skates.'

'Don’t need 'em.' He walked to the middle of the lake and promptly sat down and then laid on his back. 'You coming?' Sirius rolled his eyes, but went to lay next to Remus anyway. There they looked up, waiting for the stars to become more and more visible. The ice was cold underneath them, but Remus warmth made up for that.

After a while the stars were very visible and Remus pointed to the sky. 'Okay, if that's the north star, than North is right,' he lowered his hand in a straight line, 'there.' He pointed somewhere to into the forest next to the lake.

'How do you know this?' Sirius looked at his boyfriend looked at him.

'I might have looked up how to stargaze this morning,' Remus admitted. Sirius laughed -it could almost be called barking- when he saw Remus' grin. 'Anyway, there is Ursa Major. And I think that that is..' That was the point where Sirius stopped paying attention to what Remus said and more to him.

Remus' lit up when he talked about something made him happy. He had a wide smile and gold sparks in his eyes.

'And that's you, baby, the dog star.' But Sirius didn't look up, he kept staring at his boyfriends face. 'Pads?'

'Marry me.' It slipped out. He hadn't meant to say it, but it was sincere.

'What!?' Remus shot up.

'I- I just realized how fucking much I love you. I want to spend every second with you, I want to talk either to you or about you, I want,' Sirius trailed off in a search for words, 'you.' He smiled. 'I just want you.' Sirius had not prepared this, in any way, but he was happy with what he said.

'Bab-y,' Remus' voice broke as tears welled up and Sirius sat up and then went down on one knee.

'I'm sorry I don’t have a ring, but here goes,' he smiled apologetically. 'Remus, will you marry me?'

'Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes!' He kissed Sirius. 'Ba- fiancé,' he whispered against his lips, 'I love you so fucking much too.'

Welcome to Live Commentary

I had no one to talk to while watching the movie and I hate being alone with my thoughts so I wrote everything down in my notes app. It's not coherent! Enjoy!

The beginning felt a bit forced to me but maybe that's just me? Like they just tried to squeeze too many things into a small timeframe without any buildup, it just didn't really work. Congrats on the engagement! This is my OTP so I'm very happy! But it came out of nowhere.

So we get the quote again. And Trollhunter Tobias is nice. Cool. Cool AU I mean, but I don't know. I don't knowwww. I've been way too invested in everything to just accept that it never happened?? So uh. Hm. How about this.

Strickler survived because fuck you, and Toby also survived and just has scars now. Maybe a wheelchair but he's fine, also he can use the Warhammer for super speed and make it awesome once he's used to it. Archie and Charlie get freed once they rebuild the bridge (and they were playing scrabble to pass the time). Nomura is still dead because she died on screen and I can't really deny that but she's with Draal so it's okay. Everyone is traumatized but they'll be fine. NotEnrique is still babysitting 500 babies and Steve is about to bring 7 more.

In summary, I reject Groundhog Day ending but everything else was great, as long as it actually happened. It was a good movie. But you can't just cancel years of passion. Having the prospect of a million "canon AUs" sounds great for writing but at the same time nooo you can't do that he didn't have to go back THAT far HHHHH

I liked the movie. It was a great watch and a satisfying end to a franchise, but I gotta say I do not fancy the ending of it so I will from now on be in denial. I honestly feel kind of betrayed that this show was my whole life for so long, I learned every smallest fact, and they basically deleted it from existence. I know what they were going for, I think, but no thank you I will be going with my own opinion. Still gonna rewatch it a few dozen times though ✌🏻

Manga Master List: Recommendations and My Personal Wish List

Below is every manga from my amazon wishlist I would recommend(as of February 11 2021) with a picture and a 3-5 sentence explanation of what the manga is about. Underneath will also be the number of volumes I have read, the number I own, and it’s status of ongoing or complete and how many volumes it has. This way you can decide for yourself if you think I have read enough of it to give an accurate recommendation.

This list only includes manga you can purchase (including digital purchases) from the wishlist. I decided that I would in fact include my personal amazon manga wishlist here and at the bottom for people to buy THEMSELVES a copy of any of these manga they would like. Keep in mind many of these won’t have volume 1 in the list but you should be able to get to the series page from the list. If a manga shows up on the amazon list that I did not include in this one that is because I have not read enough of them(or any of them) to recommend. Ok? Cool, enjoy the list!!

1. The Girl from the Other side is about a little girl living with a gentleman monster. It is a supernatural mystery with beautiful art.

2. Pumpkin Scissors is a military fantasy about a War Veteran named Randal Oland who joins the pumpkin scissors core to help with war relief and uncover the deep corruption of the government. It is similar in themes to FMA in the sense it appears to be based on a World War, and corruption of government but it more focused on the power of the noble houses in government. There is also a fun science element but it is not as in focus as in FMA. The two but are very very different overall tho. Only 5 volumes were distributed in physical English copies as the publishing company went bankrupt, all others are only available digitally. (I couldn’t get the manga vol. 1 cover to work so the picture above is a poster for the anime)

3. Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun is a slice of life about a bunch of highschoolers. Nozaki is the mangaka of a popular Shoujo manga who uses his personal experiences with friends to create his monthly comic series. It is a fun gender stereotype reversal manga with a large cast of both male and female characters (one could be HC as genderfluid but she’s still canonically female at this time) The manga is one of the easiest to read as the panels are mostly in straight down rectangles so the pages are extremely easy to follow and is very funny.

4. Yu-Gi-Oh! is well known to be about the card game yu-gi-oh, using magic and myths to further the story, HOWEVER, Yu-gi-oh! is the “Season 0″ of the series it is much darker than to be expected and there is no card game. The Yu-gi-oh most are familiar with is Yu-gi-oh Duelist (just found this out myself) and is the Yu-gi-oh you probably already know. There is no overarching plot to this mini series it is just Yugi fucking shit up playing games and destroying some bullies. I have yet to read any of Duelist as of the creation of this post therefore I cannot recommend it :/

5. The Way of the House Husband is about a former yakuza who gets married and flips his script. He becomes a house husband for his working wife and carries on doing chores and errands while still looking and acting scary unintentionally and getting himself in trouble. It is a slice of life comedy with some adult jokes but is over all extremely funny and pleasant to read.

6. Hikaru no Go is about a highschool boy who finds a haunted Go board. He meets the ghost who once was a prolific Go player. Together they work to become a world class Go champion meeting new people along the way. This series was cut short due to legal issues with a real Go player and therefore will remain unfinished but the story that is there is golden. It is still one of the most popular manga in Japan.

7. Zatch Bell! This manga is about a teenager named Kiyo who gets sent a young boy with amnesia named Zatch Bell who turns out to be an alien called a momodo. Now the two must battle other momodo in order to understand what happened to Zatch and to make Zatch the new king. Along the way they make many friends and save both the momodo and human worlds. This one is difficult because it is a classic that did not do well in America so the volumes are expensive and the series is unfinished in English. You can only buy 27 of the volumes in English and a few of them are almost impossible to find, however it is well worth the money if you can afford it and it is available online.

8. Fullmetal Alchemist is a cult classic most have read it, watched the series, or heard of it at the very least. This is one of the most popular Manga of all time and for good reason. The manga is about 2 brothers Alphonse and Edward on a journey to return their bodies to normal after committing the taboo of human transmutation. The manga has themes of racism, government corruption and manipulation of the military. The versions on my wishlist are the special Fullmetal Editions so they will have a different price point and volume number than the regular volumes or the omnibuses’

9. Princess Jellyfish is about a young woman who is sort of an outcast otaku living with 5 other otaku women. She has a deep love for jellyfish as they remind her of her late mother. She meets a beautiful woman who turns out to be a male college student and slowly comes out of her shell making new friends and growing with old ones as well. This manga is very sweet and I really don’t know what else to say haha.

10. !!!HUGE TW FOR EATING DISORDERS!!! In Clothes Called Fat is a, oneshot, non romanticizing story of an office woman trying to lose weight and developing several eating disorders in the process. She goes through hardships in relationships and bullying as well. It has a bittersweet ending and should be read with caution but it is beautifully done. Please do not read this if you are under the age 16 at the very youngest there are NSFW moments as well as just generally not being a topic for younger audiences.

11. My LOVE Story!! Is an adorable Slice of Life shojo about a highschooler named Takeo Gouda, his girlfriend Yamato, and his best friend and hear throb Suna. This series is rather refreshing as the relationship starts pretty much immediately, the best friend is very supportive, and it is focused on Takeo’s personality over looks as he is often compared in manga to a gorilla or bear. It is a generally heart warming story with some emotional side plots. The ending is sort of sudden but it’s really enjoyable.

12. Soul Eater is pretty popular but if you don’t know what it is about it is about a Weapon named Soul and his Meister Maka. They attend a school that teaches them how to defeat people before they turn into Demons, saving the world in the process. Once a weapon eats 100 evil souls and a witches soul they can become the new death Scythe! That is the plot presented, and it of course goes off into a much more complicated storyline. It is super fun and engaging with a fascinating plot near the end.

13. D. Gray-Man is a little complicated. Similarly to Soul Eater D. Gray-Man is a story based around defeating people turned demon and the saving of the world through an organization, however the plot gets very complicated very quickly. The art is some of the most interesting and beautifully fun art I’ve come across and the characters are (so far as I’ve read) all amazing. The story has a lot of christian influence and is one you have to really keep up with to understand but I recommend it regardless!

14. One-Punch Man is also very popular and is about a man who becomes so strong he only needs to punch you once to completely annihilate you, and it greatly annoys him. This manga greatly touches on the themes of self worth as Saitama becomes a hero that no one seems to want. The fights are fun and engaging, tho at times can be difficult to read. The art is gorgeous, with some of the most heavily detailed work I have ever seen.

15. The Boy and The Beast is the manga adaptation of the movie by the same name. This is a bittersweet story about a boy who finds a family in the land of the beasts and the repercussions of this intermixing. It is sweet and sad and there’s not much else to say, but that it is a beautifully crafted story.

16. MAR is not a manga I should be recommending as I genuinely don’t think I have read enough of the story to do so but I love it so much I’m going to anyway. MAR is a classic Isekai Shonen, a kid goes through a door into another world and has to fight a war to save it, there is a super fun magic system and some wonderful story building with genuinely enjoyable characters and battles. I am recommending this more based off the anime than the manga itself because it was one of my absolute favorites when I was younger, so take from that what you will! This manga has the same issue Zatch Bell does however, the series did not do amazingly so the volumes can be expensive!
