It wasn't antwerp! I've read reports from people who went to Warsaw yesterday who said he was a little off and that someone from production even gave him a water at some point and Dan was picking up the slack and like checking on him a lot during the second half of the show. Which is fully understandable, considering they've done three nights in a row and we gotta remember that besides being out of practice of doing stage shows, Phil's health isn't what it used to be, and as much as he likes to tell us he's doing fine, he's just recovered from something life threatening, yk? Besides, he's a chronically ill girly, I know the feeling.... and he has a cracked rib??? like SHIT man, that's some insane perseverance on his part, and I suspect it's mostly cause he doesn't want us to be disappointed.

I do wish (maybe a little selfishly for my own piece of mind) that they rethink/shorten the stunts on this show a little as time goes on.... I mean I'm sure they know what they're doing and they prepared for it, I just worry a little is all, cause these idiots came up with a crazy schedule and it's like... yes you wanna make us happy but at some point you'll run out of steam!

I don't want this to come off as infantilizing cause I know it irks people (it irks me too!) like I know they're both adults and make their own choices, it's just stressful to watch and I've seen them stretch themselves too thin every tour and start looking like zombies and I don't think it's at all necessary to have that much physical stuff when they're not getting any younger

imagine this

risky click opens a new pizzeria in heaven. he has finally been promoted, which means that his responsibility has also increased. however, that also means that he needs a bit more help taking care of his pizzeria.

and then he meets chugs macrame. a nice man, a highly competent accountant, who is always willing to help. and he needs someone who will deal with numbers (pizza was always risky's specialty, after all, the rest was a bit above him), so they decide to work together.

at first they are just colleagues. they get along perfectly fine, and even though it is kind of tough working with someone new at first, slowly they get used to it, and they learn to notice the small details about each other, like how chugs drinks his coffee, or the ways that risky's body cracks when he is tired.

at some point, routine becomes familiarity, and that evolves into something deeper, something more profound. late at night, they find themselves missing the other, wondering what the other's embrace would feel like. they have fallen in love with each other, slowly, almost without realizing.

it takes them a while to confess; after all, they are understandably worried about ruining their shared business. but it happens one night after closing, when it's just the two of them. one slips up and accidentally confesses his feelings, and the other just smiles and holds his hands, because he feels the same.

that night the partners become lovers, and for the rest of eternity they are thankful to share every day with the person that understands him best

Winter concpets.....

(these first ones are At Least a year old 😭😭😭)

First up, a Winter Sharena concept!

And a little comic about it

The last panel would have been Sharena begging to "steal Alfonse's body warmth" while Alfonse subtly/sarcastically teases her about it, Moe trailing behind them (I lost steam/focus though 🥲)

This was The Year Of Bruno as well, and I was testing out/playing with the scenario presented (From the Tempest Trials and from what Winter Bruno says, it seems Alfonse and Sharena spent the holiday together while the Summoner was spending it with Bruno the Envoy)

(funny aspect of this is I don't even really enjoy "why does so and so call you babygirl" jokes anymore LMFAOOO like. Nothing wrong w em and was a decent set up here, but Moe would Not Fucking Say That skskksk) (also you can Tell this is Early On in Moe's development bc its fangs aren't even piercings 😔)

This year I Did revisit Winter Concepts, espp wanting to redo my Idea of a winter Moe who's helping out Bruno with Envoy Duty

All it needed was to become more of a furry and some loose BDSM gear inspo 👍 I was also thinking about a few different things! Like how Bruno's fit is literally just his regular outfit with some Santa suit on top LMFAO. But I was also thinking about how Moe is probably not meant to be recognized here? If it is hanging out with Bruno? Who is actively avoiding being seen by Alfonse and Sharena? So Moe keeps the shoes/tights, but little else!

Final version would have most closely resembled this one!

And another little comic

Once again I'm parsing how okay well how are they interacting with each other. What's the vibe here?

I wanted to draw a bigger piece of them hanging out, maybe spending the night together by the fire with hot cocoa after a hard day's work (again thinking about how it's implied the summoner spent the holiday separately from Alfonse/Sharena). I may revisit the concept again, I feel like there's a lot of potential story-focused comic wise here.... and a lot of set up for some funny conflict later.

mel c magdalene made me realize what was missing from my magdalene design and it's that she's not fucking jacked. it's crucial to her character

got super personal in my religion final bc thats the nature of the beast. but the feedback from my prof was so sweet, she was like 'the methodists believe 100% you get reuinited with your pets when you die' so brb gonna convert to Methodism i guess

OK here it is, a ton of 'production' stuff for the Hot Guy Comic Zine! I've never been part of a project like this. Even though I was working on my comic mostly solo (shout-out to my editor Violet!), the world-building and story arc planning was completely collaborative. For example:

We started out on the world-building by voting on character's superpowers! Plenty of powers were almost unanimously agreed on, but Cuteguy was a HUGE campaign. We were pretty much 50/50 split between can fly/can't fly. Propaganda was exchanged LOL, like this piece where I campaigned for limited flying capabilities 😂 And thats what we ended up settling on!

From there we worked on a ton of brainstorming/world-building that I mostly spectated with an occasional doodle like these haha. I'm new to such elaborate AUs!

Pitch time!! I had pitches for each era and they were all pretty light and banter-y, so my year 1 pitch ended up fitting the vibe the best. My original pitch was 'HG + CG learn some key things about each other and plan to set up a base they can use together.' But when I started my script, I got really caught up in how they were navigating a partnership without knowing each others identities. The more I wrote through that, the more I wanted my story to be ABOUT that! So thats where my script started coming together.

Designs! I'm definitely not a confident costume designer. I was trying to go for low-tech + practical since it was early in their careers, and of course, easy to draw 😂

Process went more or less like this! Full color comics take a LONG TIME but it was a total labor of love. I had the graffiti bgs in mind from the very start since I knew it was dialogue heavy, I wanted to make sure the art was interesting and worth spending time looking at. Oh lord did I get carried away. I'm OBSESSED with the symbolism the fandom has put to the life series and so I tried to sneak in as much meaningful symbolism as possible. AND THE RESULT:

Guess I did pretty well! 😂😂😂

Anyway, I can't overstate how proud I feel to have gotten to work on this project. My whole goal as a hobbyist is to get to work with other artists I look up to and respect so this was a dream come true! Thank you everyone for reading, for 15k downloads (!!!), and for just being an awesomely creative fandom space to make art in! I hope to do more stuff like this again some day 💕

YOUR ACTIONS HAVE /CONSEQUENCES/ vine #although i do immediately miss having someone to harrass (complimentary) at a moment's notice #not that i don't harass my other partner far from it actually #but the specific dynamic we did have was immaculate and it's unfortunate that the choice he made had consequences #missing someone is wierd in this case where it's like. there was no other option.#i'd already made it clear that his actions made me deeply uncomfy #and if i make an ultimatum there's no way to confirm that 1. he will improve for himself instead of improving just for me #and 2. ultimatums are very harsh and create an unnecessary tension #it holds the status of the relationship over someone's head #when he asked if there was any going back #i just wished i could've elaborated that better. i might say something later if he asks again #also deeply unrelated but i've been having dreams again about my Haunted One inciting incident #(its what im calling the recovered memories of childhood trauma. its funny)#and like OK I GUESS #it just blows #why . why why why why why am i having these dreams that are graphically replaying traumas and expanding upon them to make them Worse #it's probably because the breakup really triggered those memories to come back but still #boy howdy #i was having a great time not thinking about it but then he struggled to give clear consent and boy howdy did that dig it all the way up #its just . like damn . ok i guess

I’m not sure if it’s because of one tweet or ppl trying to ‘compare’ to loona recent situation #but anyways I read snippets at B&N the other day and I just found it interesting what parts ppl don’t want to share #or like what parts ppl deem as fiction #ie common belief is that a certain character is Soo but a scene I read mentioned something specific that she’s NEVER done (like job-wise)#so then I’m like okay we just ignoring that? like how did ppl determine what characteristics & traits lined up w/ the members #like ‘oh yeah that part was just fiction but this character is totally so-and-so’#I’m not necessarily saying ppl’s guesses are wrong but just kinda goes back to the fact that it’s all pointless b/c the story is a mix #of a lot stuff #the other thing I wanted to comment on is how annoying I find it when ppl talk about Soo’s missed group activities #like I wonder if anyone ever actually kept track of all of that #I just find it weird because I can think of at least 2 other members that missed more activities than Soo (at that time)#it’s like a weird argument? kinda half-baked??#so idk it bugs me every time and I just wanna scream ‘can you elaborate’ or something lol #but I missed the window of opportunity to interact since all this went down a few days ago on twitter #but forreal this one person was like ‘yeah you can search how much she was absent’ and I’m like okay is this number substantial??#jt #just thoughts
