1. It’s a slasher movie, plot was never gonna be that serious to begin with. they never are.

2. Saw is gore porn too, and it’s been in the cultural realm since the early 2000’s. When it first came out it was said to be torture porn, too. I know—I was there.

im a fickle bitch but rn the answer to this is easily Sleight of Hand by @flieslikeamoron which (NOT TO BE DRAMATIC BUT) I think a lot of fic writers should probably study before they attempt longfic

just for funsies though my fav deep cut extremely niche fic is The Maker's Gonna Cut You Down by BurnItAllDownDahling, which is a Cullen/Carver Dragon Age 2 fic which is a Sime/Gen AU kind of but also a western. it is absolutely batshit insane (affectionate)

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

I listened to an interview with the Terrifier 2 folks today during work and they joked about how Art has snacks in his trash bag along with his array of torture weapons.

So imagine being hungry and stating that you’re hungry out loud and this clown stops for a second, puts the trash bag slung over his shoulder down on the ground, silently tells you hold on with a raise of his finger and you’re just standing there, waiting and just listening to the sounds of the bag rustling.
