How many fics have you worked on since January?

I'm not entirely sure... a/b fic, and I started some simon/anthony fics, i think there were two... i also have fics i work on that i'll never post (just pure wish fulfillment), and i have some a&b fics, maybe about two that i worked on. So like, five maybe?

15. What was the hardest fic to title?

It'll be the one I'm working on now, probably!! (a/b fic.) I've no idea what to call it

As far back as Anthony can remember, Benedict had always been an artist, through and through. When he was two, it was stick figures of course. Anthony at four hadn’t learnt the kindness of half-truths or even outright lies yet; he’d told Benedict that that doesn’t even look like Mama, you have to draw it again, and Benedict had cried. That looks exactly like Papa, though, he’d said in the next instant, and knelt on the nursery floor beside his brother and hugged him tight. Do you want to find him and show him your drawing? I think he will love it.  He’d always been a quick learner. With the sensitive, kind, sweet soul his brother had—which was too often forced against the awful, jagged parts of himself—he had to be.  He would be.

beginning to get the sickness that is wanting to watch mindcrack content. any recommendations/tips/warnings?

i've really only ever watched etho & bdubs so my knowledge is fully localized to their seasons, so frankly i feel unqualified to advise. this hasn't stopped me from making lists over the years anyway so I hope these posts give you some starting points:

this ethubs-centric post, not just mindcrack; in that case, see also cora's herstory document that includes various mindcrack streams

my favorite bdubs mindcrack episodes; you HAVE to watch the e pranker stuff at least.

my favorite etho mindcrack episodes, which conveniently has some thematic groups at the top and also please please watch the PVP events they are some of my favorites. probably good for branching out into other povs

bdubs UHCs. even just specifically only the final episodes. i'm not gonna spoil it but give UHC 11 a spin and report back what you think the moral of the story is. also uhcs are fun though i've watched only a couple of them

speaking of other povs i must defer to @single-malt-scotch. speaking of SMS, here's all about that. also the delicious antagonism between nebris and etho. or this relic of season 4 in review.

FTB and crackpack and such are also out there and fun. they might be in the links above probably maybe somewhere. go for it. theres a mindcrack podcast as well but i've never listened to it personally

recommendations etc include just follow your whims and always give into your urge to skip around, speed through episodes, come back later, switch it up. these are old and the people who do still love it and talk about it don't have perfect recall or expect that of others if you end up wanting to jam. speaking of old... there will be slurs, occasionally, depending on your pov. yes even if you stick to etho pov.

since i never so much as looked at someone play minecraft until.... like, late 2019? i find peeking back at the first big mc boom very charming and interesting. it is anthropologically dear to me. have fun and tell me how it goes!

To my followers who gaf about my OC lore (ilysm): I do want to do that breakdown of the symbolism of Eiko's uniform and other worldbuilding stuff that I mentioned on a recent post, the reason why I haven't done it yet is bc I have to explain other worldbuilding first and I want to make a proper post for that since it's important

i accidentally wrote so much it's kind of embarrassing so let me just say a little detail i like which is this lil thing skimble does in 1998 during theee "they all could reflect it was very nice" line i think??? not really a small detail but i always smile when i see it

okay i didn't want this to be so long for people who like. do not care lol so i just put it under the cut because im not even sure how coherent this is but bear with me while i rant for a sec

something that's been on my mind lately is ross finnie as skimble singing the "it was very pleasant when they found their little den" part.. this goes for both the 2002 and the 2015 productions. because they're like. so different. and i love them both so very much!! i really like 2002's because he sounds so sweet and like. his voice is very happy in the calmest way possible yknow. and i really like how he talks. oh and i especially like after the cats say "weak or strong?" and he says "oh, alright!" i just think it's so cute and it's a very little detail but you know. i get hung up on tiny details about my fav guy. ALSO i really like how he says "and" in the "you could make it dark or bright, and! a button you can turn to make a breeze" like he just remembered it and he's excited to say it

AND THE 2015 PRODUCTION. HE'S SO LOUD AND EXCITED AND IT'S JUST. he's just so fucking excited and how loud he gets because he's just so hyped to talk about trains that he can't control his voice and he's yelling and it's just!!! it makes me crazy. especially in the "you could make it dark or bright!", "and a funny little basin you're supposed to wash your face in!", and "then the guard looked in politely and would ask you very brightly, 'WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR MORNING TEA?'" and then the other cats say "weak or strong" and it kind of sounds like he's just yelling incomprehensibly for a second after they say that, like he's so excited he's just gotta scream. could just be me imagining it though

and these two versions of the song are so so different but they both communicate his character so well i feel!! i love you ross finnie you understood skimble like no one else

I was finally able to order the router online, now I just have to wait for it 😌 (might take around a week tho) But once I have it, I'll get back to streaming & working on the comms!

Btw slots are still open! (here's the trello list for the queue of comms) You'll get a chance to see my process as I work on the comms since I'll be streaming them :)

As for the pending ko-fi doodles & past comms, I hope you guys can wait a little bit longer 🙏 I did a small update on the trello list & added the "sketch done" label for those requests that already have a sketch ready. It's not easy working on 40+ pieces so uhhh I hope u guys can bear w/ me for now..... @_@
