so i wear a mask-- to classes, around campus, in the elevator, whatever, yeah? no one else does but i can't afford to get sick again, you know how it is. anyway, classes started last week and obviously i wore one to my studio class on tuesday. chatted a bit with some of the other cool queers there. got to know a few of them by name. i showed up thursday, and guess what? one of them is ALSO wearing a mask that time. the wrong kind--but still! a mask! better than nothing!

just want to let you guys know you can always choose to start masking again. if you're still alive, it is never too late. also: herd mentality is real. if you wear one you'll influence others to wear one. we are still in a plague. covid never left. protect yourself, protect each other.

Edit since a lot of people seem confused - your "real" name is the name that you want to be referred to in real life. It doesn't have to be your legal name. So if you're trans and you have a different name to whats on your birth certificate, even if not many people call you by the name, it still counts as your real name.

actually i think it's interesting that practically everyone's interpretation of valentino is that he has severe substance abuse issues & is high 50% of the time, when in the show he's shown disparagingly talking about addicts in a way that implies he doesn't see himself as one. and i'm not using "interesting" as a substitute for "oh boy do i fucking hate this" i just genuinely think it's fascinating. the juxtaposition of him looking down on addicts while refusing to acknowledge his own substance abuse problems is direly under explored and it's like, Right There. it's prime character study material
