Thank you all for being so patient with me, I know it was a long hiatus.
My health was struggling, my arm was (is) hurting, and I decided it wasn't worth it. I'd rather be slow!
So thank you for giving me that grace, and I hope you'll be there with me for the rest of the series.
#like straight up. it's not worth it. idc how many people get mad at me#i would rather work fuckin. anything else than maintain this impossible schedule and keep hurting myself#if thats what it takes to do comics full time. then i can't do comics full time. simple as that!#i hope that for my next work i can have a healthier schedule and still make this work as my job#but if not. I'm never going back#i can't do it. 3 more years at this pace will take my ability to draw#anyways. its really good!!!#like genuinely i can feel a marked improvement in my skills#which is WILD!!! And I'm extremely happy about that!!!#just one more step into being better built to give people the quality stories they deserve.#ive not properly had the fire under my ass to finish stuff up but. its fine.#like i said? not worth it.#if i have to pause again then ill pause again. like i literally simply can not my body can't handle it#so. hopefully stuff goes smoothly but whatever happens will happen#whatever will be will be#i keep getting distracted lmfao#im excited about it coming back#and also. will. probably be distracting myself...#other creators dont read their comments. So. Here's some possible bg/lore mixing - idk if normal, 'non-secret service/intelligence agency' humans in this universe know vampires exist but disregarding that -
I think a lot of the vampires, esp the ones in space, are pretty high generation or thin-bloods (i.e. they're weak). Originally Locus + Felix were on the v edge of being thin-bloods (like gen 13) but... they're not anymore. The wonders of diablerie - not that they really advertise it. Views on that haven't really changed. They're also autarki aka freelance/mercenaries, but I dunno when they were Embraced; could've been before, during or after the War. Doesn't rly matter that much, they can all work imo but at least for Locus post-War works best
Locus could have either the Blood Addiction bane or the Noxious Blood bane since I think both could work for him, and Felix would have the classic Ravnos Bane of needing to move around.
I'll post more thoughts abt why I chose those clans for them + more abt sharky etc a bit later bc I don't want this to be too long lol <3

FINALLY A HAMLET 2000 TRUTHER
VERY NICE TO MEET YOU I AM OBSESSED WITH HAMLET 2000. my friend and I put it on on a 3 am whim intending to make fun of it but the further in we got the more we were turning to each other like "wait is this good? is this actually good though?? holy shit?? why does this go off?"
#some may argue that the blockbuster scenes or the faxing or the painfully 90s outfits date this movie but I#enlightened#am here to argue it was actually ahead of its time.#its time hasn’t happened yet or anything ofc but it Will come#hamlet#ask#every day I think about his stupid fucking hat.#also that uncomfortably long shot in 1.2 of hamlet and claudius talking reflected fuzzily in the half rolled down car window while a#sharply in focus gertrude beams up at them over the rim.. like. she's so....#+ the commitment to utter unaesthetic-ness: hamlet’s super cluttered depression apartment & cars honking on the new york street#& 4.3 in the LAUNDROMAT— ham 2000 is the 2d production I've seen where hamlet kisses claudius after 'man and wife is one flesh''#a concept I like a lot more than the traditional gertrude kiss bc it's kinda in line w how he's been fucking with claudius the entire scene#(though ethan hawke kisses them BOTH. a choice I am OBSESSED with. get it I guess)#as a pretty subdued unenergetic hamlet I def wouldnt say its my fave performance but there are like. so many fascinating choices#the action movie motif.. the airplane motif.. biker horatio.. marcellus as his girlfriend who's just silently in the bg for all of act 5??#also BILL MURRAY POLONIUS and actually all the ophelia stuff was such a Take.#that intensely uncomfortable scene with the king & queen where hes telling them about her relationship with hamlet as she slowly wanders#along the edge of the pool... it's SO visceral like that's. that's exactly how being a kid feels.#no agency.. your parents telling people your personal shit while youre just There. and zoning out to cope#anyway I'm tired but so much abt the framing & symbolism is so oddly compelling I can't go through all of it#a lot of it I just didnt know what to think of too loll like setting the ros & guil scene in the club....#them having to yell to be heard over the music is such a specific and awkward vibe as to be intriguing#but also they cut the most interesting part of that scene lol I was disappointed#+ they cut the gravedigger which is.. in line with how little they showed hamlet's sense of humour and odd bursts of energy and such :(#but anyway it's undeniably a fun watch with a friend#I'm definitely forgetting some stuff there was a Lot

there's the obvious bit where they're both former mean girls and amity improved herself while bosha didn't
but there's also like
boscha's clearly got SOME sort of abandonment issues goin on in this episode
and amity's also had some abandonment issues of her own (probably originating a lot from her own father slowly fading from her life with absolutely no explanation when she was a child). we see these come to a head in eclipse lake when she is so easily convinced that luz will abandon her if she is not perfect
but whereas boscha acts Like That because of her issues, amity handles them relatively healthily, seeking love from good people who she knows will give it to her unconditionally and communicating with honesty and understanding when she feels like she is being pushed away by luz

For most of my life I've assumed I would never like tower defense games bc it would be boring to just sit there clicking around and watching the game play itself and. I kind of wish I stayed thinking that way because I've devoted at least 150 hrs to monkey popping balloon game in the past two months and I think it's starting to become a problem
#the autism got me so bad here. this game feels like crack cocaine#i was like 'i dont have a problem' and one week in i already had the game on two platforms#then i looked at the steam reviews and half of them are 'i have autism and im obsessed with this game' and im like huh.#it is the only thing that has kept me sane recently so i owe it my life but i also wish i never played it. anyways dj benjammin on top#bloons td 6#i have all the heroes except corvus and adora. dread pirate brickell and jiangshi sauda are also my favorites to use#i think games w simple concepts that are infinitely customizable are dangerous. this game does that really well#i'm used to trying random games that end up tedious or dont have much content so this feels insanely fun in comparison#hopefully i'll rest soon. maybe once i get all the heroes

just spent a good 20 minutes crying my eyes out over so far away by avenged sevenfold i have regressed to when i was 13 and extremely attached to this band
#i'm still extremely attached to them and forever will be#i grew up w rock & metal & shit bc my parents were cool but a7x was the first band i found by myself yk. like. it wasn't passed down to me#like my mom passed me nirvana & queen & bowie my dad passed me metallica & pink floyd & dire straits#my beloved uncle passed me iron maiden &. also nirvana & rancid#guns n roses was handed my collectively by all three#in short. avenged sevenfold was home grown. yk. they were my own thing#my first thing that Really got me into metal & the likes#the first time i had my Own tastes & preferences#and i was hyperfixated REAL bad for like maybe close to two years it was sooo intense i loved them sooo much#i still do!! i will still call them my faves!!! idc!! they're so special to me#i remember i found welcome to the family in a like. creepypasta mva or smth. funny that all the first few bands i liked i found thru#some creepypasta bullshit on youtube or smth. mcr fob AND p!atd i all got from creepypasta for Sure#anyway. embarassing. but i was obsessed w welcome to the family for a while#and eventually decided i wanted to know who made it and maybe listen to more stuff by them#and it was my mom's bday so august 16th when i went on their wikipedia page read the Whole thing and before i even knew much abt them or#their music or whatever i was crying so hard over the section talking abt the rev's death like i knew him personally#and i feel like that was the sign. the bad omen. that i would be down bad from then on#and i was down bad#and i listened to all their songs. i watched all the shows. i knew every piece of footage that existed of them by heart#and you have to understand by that point the only other thing i had been as obsessed with were hp & lotr#so it was still Fucky to me. to be into something that intensely#in short a7x truly fucking shaped me as a person fr and i will be thankful & fond of them forever and i avoid so far away like the plague#bc i know it gets to me. it really does#bc they were friends since they were like 10yo idiot kids yk before there was ever a band involved#and as someone who's had p much the same friend group since kindergarten#just THINKING abt losing a friend i've had for so long fucking kills me. and i can't imagine how bad it had to be for them#it's a very. empath moment of me ik ik but i can't stand it it gets to me really bad#oh nay
