~Ninjago Dragons Rising Spoilers Below~
First off, can I just begin with how great this season was in general?! Seriously man, it was amazing. The details, storylines, backgrounds, character growths, and everything was just fantastic! The animation --- oh my gosh, don't even get me started on that! Especially with the way the animation peaked in that final episode?!!?!? Like excuse me?! Why didn't you tell me to grab the popcorn?! That was AWESOME~ I was not expecting that.
I would like to start with mentioning Sora and Arin's backstory. I absolutely love that we as the viewers finally got to see their backstory and how they met. It made this whole Dragons Rising series so much more entertaining, and I'm really beginning to love both of their characters now that information is being shared regarding them. I also really enjoyed that in the backstory it proved that Arin and Sora have a more "brother & sister" like relationship than romantic. I know that most viewers have always perceived them as more "siblings" and platonic, but I enjoyed that the show solidified that and showed their friendship with one another before they came on screen more in depth. Next, can we just take a moment to get all excited over MORRO COMING BACK!?!?!?!? LIKE MY MAN IS BACK OH MY GOODNESS --- RAHHHHHHHHH- Anyways, *coughs* , my guy Morro is back, and honestly he's better than ever. :DD I love that they we finally got to see what he's like outside of being a villain, and it has made me love his character so much more than I already did. The ending did make me sad though. I'm not sure what to think about that. I hope that we can see him later on, but I'm assuming that he's now fully dead? Or at least he's no longer in a "physical form" and just his "soul form" I guess it would be called? (From my understanding of the explanation regarding death in the Ninjago universe this season.) Either way, I hope they do bring him back in some way. I kind of want to see how it would go if the ninja ever ran into him. I especially would like to see Lloyd and Morro meeting each other once again. Like how would that conversation go? Would it even be good? Or would there be past emotion brought in? Maybe a bit of both? However, it was a long time, and both Lloyd and Morro matured since then, so it may be much more chill than what it once would have been... Anyways, just some thoughts I wanted to throw in here. I also really liked Kai and Nya's sibling "bickering" and teasing this season. I know that they do it every season, but I particularly enjoyed this one. I like that the writers show that no matter how old you get, siblings --- and I personally would say brother and sisters especially --- never get out of the "teasing" stage... It goes on forever, haha. I would also like to add in LLOYD DYING?!?!? (For like 5 minutes, but still-) OH MY GOSH THAT WAS LITERALLY ONE OF THE WORST FIVE MINUTES OF MY LIFE WHILE WATCHING THIS SERIES- (And I've been watching it for years now.) I knew that he had to have not fully died because I hadn't seen anything about it online yesterday, but I also wasn't sure while watching it today if a lot of people had fully finished it because people are busy... (and I also was trying to avoid spoilers at all costs), so it was a completely nerve-wracking scene to me as an avid Lloyd Lover, haha. But seriously, when Lloyd said something along the lines, "That had to be one of the weirdest experiences in my life." LET ME TELL YOU- watching Lloyd die for 5 minutes and lowkey freaking out over it was NOT on my 2025 bingo card- (˃̣̣̥ᴖ˂̣̣̥) Anywho, I'm so glad he's alive and well, thank goodness, I can go on with my life peacefully... for now. (ᵕ—ᴗ—) Finally, I absolutely loved how the writers wrote Jay for this season. Honestly, one of the main reasons I've been so interested in DR is because of how they've been writing Jay, and this season was definitely PEAK writing for him. I absolutely loved how he progressively showed up in the background throughout the season, and he finally made his way back to the ninja team. I know that his memories may still be wacked up, but I just know they will come back. Trust. ( ◡̀ ᴗ ◡́)و The only thing about Jay's character that I didn't like is his hair choice. 💀 Luckily, it can be fixed.
Well, there's my Ninjago rant. I'm so excited for Part 2, and I can't wait to see what happens. I'm so glad Tumblr exists so I can put all my thoughts here XD

(first time doing it)
J x DD reader(male if you ok), after episode 8 comforting her. T_T i feel sad for her fr
J - You're safe now
Type: Oneshot
Genre: Reverse comfort
Notes: I found this idea super cute, and not gonna lie, I feel kinda sad for her too, I think she deserved better. Like, she literally doesn't appear after Cyn's fight (from my knowledge). Don't worry it being your first time because this is also the first time I did comfort stuff. Also, I didn't know if you wanted headcanons or a oneshot, so I went with a oneshot as it felt more natural for this. Anyways, hope you like it and that's it.
After the events of the fight with Cyn, with you siding with Uzi, you went flying to search for J since she was missing. I literally just noticed that she just falls into a hole and never comes back.
You went down a hole close to where you last saw her, and found her sitting and hugging her knees with her eyes widened.
"Are you okay, J?" You asked, with genuine worry, as you went up to her.
"W-Where's Boss?!" She asked, looking around, trying to see if she's close.
"Um, she kinda..." You paused a bit as you got close to her, trying to look for the right word. "...died?"
She looked at you in pure shock, not believing your words.
"She died?!" She got up quickly, but then suddenly made one of her arms into a blade and pointed at you, making you step back defensively. "That's a lie! Boss would never die! S-She can't..."
She looked a bit sad, not believing the possibilty that Cyn's dead after being basically enslaved by her this whole time. You just put your hand on her blade, pushing it out of the way, with her not even reacting to it.
"Well, don't ask me how it happened, but yeah, Uzi killed her." You tried to reassure her with a soft smile.
J just silently retracted her blade and fell down on her knees.
"S-So, it's over?" She asked, looking up at you. "It's all... finally over?" You kneeled down to her level, with her eyes following you.
"Yes, it's over now." You said, slowly hugging her.
She slowly hugged you back, her head over your shoulder and her yellow visor taking the form of crying eyes.
"I-I'm sorry..." She suddenly apologized in a low voice. "I'm sorry for taking her side."
"It's fine, J." You tried reassuring her. "You just thought it was only choice." You started slowly rubbing her back to hopefully calm her down. "But it's fine now, you're safe from Cyn, you can relax."
For a while, you kept rubbing her back as she silently let you, until she spoke up.
"Will you guys... accept me into your team...?" She asked with a bit of hope in her voice.
"Well, I don't know about the rest but at least I'll accept you back and I will make them accept you." You said with a half hearted chuckle, hoping she'll laugh too, and she did slightly that.
"T-Thanks, I guess." Her voice was still low, but it was noticibly better. She pulled away a bit from the hug, but still hugging you. "I think I'm fine now."
"That's great, J!" You congratulate her. "Do you wanna go back to the surface now?" You asked and she nodded. "Alright, then. Let's go."
You slowly pulled away from the hug, both of you getting up. You turned around and opened your wings to fly away, but suddenly J grabbed your hand, making you retract them and look back.
"Really, though, thank you..." She looked a bit ashamed to say it, looking down like she just lost her pride. "I-I think I would just give up and die from overheating if you didn't come for me..." She hesitantly admited. "So, t-thank you..."
"Awh, J," You smiled at her, knowing it must be difficult to say this. "That's the nicest thing you ever said to-"
Suddenly, J turned her other hand into a blade and pointed it at you.
"One word of this gets out and you're dead, got it?!" She had an angry and serious face while saying it, making you chuckle a bit.
"Alright, I get, you're the boss." You chuckled softly a bit more, and for one more moment, J slowly gave the most sincere smile she ever did.

I also recently watched a video about a comic and got a bit inspired by the comic layouts, so I'm trying smthing a bit different w it in that regard, but thats all next pages.
as you can see here, i stuck with the new shading style, and i think it looks really great! Definitely has more mood and interest now. i've also been trying a bit more on the backgrounds and environments, as you can see where the setting takes centre stage for a few panels (i love doing it :D)

hello hi here to force strange thoughts into your brain once again, this time about jrwi (wow who could’ve guessed)
been thinking about this for a little but it’s basically what i think some campaigns would be if not podcasts, i haven’t listened to some of the older ones so i’m sorry they’re not on here :(( if you have any ideas feel free to add them btw :DD
RIPTIDE!!!!! - really long animated series
not an anime though, no matter how much grizzly wants it, it would be an animation style where the characters could have very clearly different nose, face and body shapes, really pushing my riptide nose agenda here sorry, each episode would be like 20-40 minutes long and instead of coming out in seasons there would be massive gaps in between episodes, from 2-6 months long, to leave time for writers and animators to get stuff done (massive team of animators btw, i feel like it would be pretty successful)
PRIME DEFENDERS!! - comics
literally nothing else they could be, just really well made, well performing comics (i’ve already talked about this before you can stalk my talk tag if you really want to find it lmao), the comic company making them would be keeping well away from movies n shit btw
APOTHEOSIS!!! - i wasn’t really sure about this one to be honest
i had to ask my friend and she said anime which i don’t agree with but i can see it, i think maybe a short book series where each book is 150 - 300 pages and is about a different god they have to kill/a different episode, i think that works but if anyone has any better ideas please tell me :D!!
BLOOD IN THE BAYOU!!! - i hate to say it, i really do…
bitb would be a really long really good 80s horror book with strong homoerotic undertones, a satisfied fanbase and lots of active members in the community making fan comics, films, writing, theories and art ect… until well after the book came out……….. and then it would be made into the most egregious and awful live action movie you have ever seen, the most awful casting (like chris pratt as officer dudes….. throws up) and even worse sfx, oh yeah and the characters would be ruined and the story would become so butchered it wouldn’t make sense, they would do some shit like cut out becky so kian just kisses some random lady (removing both a really good and well written character and a layer of kian’s character that i think is super important) and make rolan really be an evil bug spy the whole time so rand has to kill him to save the town also add in a whole new sub plot that never existed like the rand family is secretly a long line of bug alien hunters or something fucking stupid like that and the entire fanbase would murder whoever thought re-writing the story was a good idea (ahaha can you tell ive been through something like this before ahahaha, character morals and motives being removed and whatnot ahahahhahahaha.)
anyways………
THE SUCKENING!!! - live action series
it would be well made though, unlike the bitb movie it would be its own original thing, have great makeup and effects also be well casted and well shot, well written, ect ect, it would bloody and gory and not suitable for people who can’t handle showing bones and organs all over everywhere, lots of shitty rip off merch would be made though and the fandom would be 99% gay little freaks (normal suckening enjoyers) and 1% homophobic straight white men who get mad whenever they see soda and emizel having gay sex on screen or whatever fag shit that biting thing was
again feel free to add your thoughts and ideas and shit in the reblogs it would be nice to read them :DD!!

Born Again Initial Thoughts Based On One Watch Last Night That I Probably Don't Remember Super Well Because I Didn't Sleep As Much As I Should Have
Spoilers below the cut! Also, this started out sort of coherent and then devolved into random thoughts. Sorry. I'll probably end up having more thoughts later on (especially if I rewatch this weekend like I want to), so I might make another post later. Also, I promise I'm better at forming a coherent thought for my actual job.
Is it a solid show? Yes. Is it as great of a show as the original? No. Is it fair to compare them? I can't decide. Do I think this show could get to the level of the new show? It's possible.
My understanding of what happened is that they initially wrote it to not have Foggy and Karen, they shot a bunch of stuff, the strikes happened, they overhauled things, and they tried to keep a lot of the original stuff they shot (I assume for cost reasons). I think that whole backstory informs a lot of the decisions. That backstory is the "wires behind the TV that I can still sort of see even though they tried to hid them."
I think that the first two episodes are more or less going however they originally planned the series. If they were committed to using that footage, something BIG had to explain why Foggy and Karen aren't there. It had to be big. And, unfortunately, due to timeline reasons, I don't think the Blip was an option.
I do think the decision to make the BIG thing killing Foggy was kind of lazy, and I do think they could've gotten more creative, but I get why they did it. Absent something big happening, it wouldn't make sense for Matt to try and split himself off from DD after Season 2, Defenders, and Season 3 were about him learning they're one and the same. It also wouldn't make sense for him and Karen to get that mad and split off from each other.
I also think killing Foggy was shoehorned in because it wouldn't make sense to put Matt back at rock bottom right after Season 3. I realize the fact that they ever entertained not having Foggy and Karen means I'm giving Marvel/the writers too much credit, but here we are.
All that being said, I don't think Foggy is dead permanently. I'm not sure if it's a fake-out or if he's going to come back from the dead, but I don't think it's permanent. Fake-out is hard because Matt can feel when someone dies (paaaaaaiiinful thought). Although Daredevil is a more grounded MCU show, people have come back to life. The main reason I think they're bringing him back is this interview where Charlie Cox is talking about how excited he was to text Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll that they were coming back. I just can't see him being that excited for the 10 minutes we saw.
I will say I might be willing to forgive the writers for this if we get to see Matt getting Foggy back. And not in the same way he got Elektra back, where they were fighting, and she came back wrong, and she didn't remember him. I want them to give Foggy back fully, no stops, and let Matt have the most joyous moment of his life. Give him a miracle where someone comes back for once.
I would also like Elektra back, though, thank you.
ANYWAY, the scene itself was okay. Others have said this, but it felt rushed, and the DD/Bullseye fight didn't hit as hard as the Season 3 fights. It felt like they sort of slapped it on top.
I will say Karen's reactions were a highlight of the scene. I've seen a lot of people talking about how scared she is when she hears Dex hit the ground because it could mean she lost both Matt and Foggy. But in my mind, I'm also thinking about how she knows something devastating happened either way. Because if it's Dex on the ground, it means Matt killed him, and she knows how horrible that would be for him.
I would like some explanation as to why Dex didn't die. I know he has a fancy new spine, but that was a long fall.
Geez, I've written so much and I'm still on the first 10 minutes of Ep. 1. The rest of this will probably bounce around more, I'm just the most caught up on the Foggy thing still.
I actually don't hate that Karen is gone for the moment, other than the fact that it means we don't get that much DAW screentime. I am ALLLLL for the slow burn. And they set them up to be REAL flirty in the beginning with their friend code thing. I have faith Karen is coming back.
I can't decide if I think it makes sense for Matt and Karen to be so hands-off in regards to Fisk's campaign. A part of me thinks Foggy dying is big enough to justify it. A part of me thinks that they didn't think he'd actually win. Not based on real events, what are you talking about? A part of me thinks it's wildly out of character. I don't know, but here we are.
Matt asking for Dex to be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law is such a big thing. Based on the fact that Matt is against killing, I think he's probably generally against life without parole. It makes sense because it's Foggy, but OMG.
I feel like I'm having a hard time grasping who the new characters are at this point. I think that's one of the things that's making me feel like this isn't quite as good. In Season 1, for example, I feel like you already know Foggy so well just from that initial phone call with Matt and their initial interaction with that realtor lady. I don't feel like we got that with these new characters. However, we still have a long way to go, so I'm open and excited to get to know them. In particular, I've heard a lot about Kirsten from comic fans, so excited for her in general.
Others have said this, but it is quite funny that Matt has begun dating a therapist instead of going to therapy.
The fact that Heather is now a marriage counselor for the Fisks is also very funny. At the moment. I do think she's going to die.
I was excited about the Spanish with Hector. I hope we get more, to the degree we did in Season 1 with Mrs. Cardenas (or even more).
Someone pointed out Matt was wearing his glasses inside. I think in general Matt feels off. Not in terms of characterization, just generally. On the surface, he seems okay. But everything feels a little forced to me, like he's having to put a little more effort in. He can't relax and take of his armor in his own home.
Him carrying around the funeral program is devastating.
His decision to not go into the church was so sad. I'm reaaaaallllly hoping Maggie is back at some point. For now, it would make sense if he was avoiding her and God at the same time.
That last scene of Episode 2 was crazy. He was so willing to let himself get beat up. And then they crossed a line, so he had to cross a line.
I like the Punisher foreshadowing with the tattoo. I also think it's interesting that it's something that Matt wouldn't be able to pick up on.
Lawyer!Matt stressed me out a little because it made me think about work, but I'll be okay.
Shifting gears a little bit, it sucks that Fisk getting elected is believable given real-life events.
The Fisk/Vanessa thing is...intriguing. I don't know how I feel at this point.
BB Urich! So excited for BB Urich!
That being said, KEEP BEN'S NAME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, WILSON!
Who is the little guy from Wednesday at Heather's book signing? I feel like I didn't see anything about him in spoiler stuff.
I miss the old theme. I'm not sure how I feel about the music choices on the whole. I did like the Nick Cave song, though. I could get on board if they used Red Right Hand at some point. I do think that song is heavily associated with Peaky Blinders, though, so I don't know if they'll go there.
I also feel like the way they shot the old show was more interesting/better.
Where is Brett Mahoney? Where is Ellison? I feel like those are also two people who wouldn't let this Fisk stuff slide.
I LOVED the scene in the diner, that felt the most like the old show.
Fisk bringing up his father was interesting.
They packed A LOT into two episodes. I think that they set things up to be promising. There were a lot of seeds planted that I think could go in very interesting/satisfying directions.
I would like an explanation of what happened to everyone during the Blip, thank you.
What is the timeline with Echo/She-Hulk?
I almost forgot, but I'm glad we got a little of Josie.
What happened to Marci? Also, you can't tell me Marci wouldn't have been at that sentencing even if she and Foggy were broken up.
All in all, didn't love it as much as I was hoping I would. I think I would have liked it more if it wasn't living in the shadow of the original show. That being said, I do think there is a lot of potential for it to improve, and I'm ready to go on the ride.

Did Duchovny wear a wedding ring in 2 episodes? I thought it was only in 1, but I could swear he was wearing a wedding ring in an episode where he first met TLG.
Behold, Mulder's ring--
Tumblr media
--and singlehood status in Unusual Suspects.
Tumblr media
(All credit to @bakedbakermom's post here.)
Yep, DD wore a band in Unusual Suspects because A. he was proud to be (recently) married and B. he was so bored with the lack of story on-screen that he decided throwing out a divorce timeline might work. (Yes, he only told CC in post; and, yes, CC made a note afterwards that he did not want DD's ring on set again for Travelers. Guess who wore the ring anyway?)
Also: if someone could help me locate that script/backstage/set design/prop note mention in the above ( ) section, that'd be great.

okay, so I'm in my Daredevil era and I'm rewatching and watching EVERYTHING Matt Murdock has ever been in.
I've always known how great the writing was in DD - I'm too biased to form any real criticism, I just love it all - but man, I just watched the episodes from She-Hulk he was in out of curiosity. It didn't interest me enough to watch the whole season, but I really wanted to see the scenes with him in it.
In a nutshell: it's incomparable, I mean....... the tone the erm... basically everything. This was too lighthearted, too.... PG. Sure, the scenes with Matt were funny or awkward in a cute way or both, but maybe that's just me loving the character too much to say anything negative.
Anyway, I'm soooo glad our show has that dark tone and that it continues to have that same tone in Born Again.
Btw this is not a diss post, it's just my opinion based on those few scenes and how I prefer the heavier, darker storylines.

completely agree about fisk and bullseye doing the joker job — i’m ofc “a little” biased by saying fisk is matt’s joker asfjksj but it still works! even if 60% haha. anyways, about the finale i am so disappointed as you are. i honestly think 1x08 could’ve worked better as a season finale, 1x09 was so rushed and i feel like they wasted everything they did on 8 and as you said a phone call or even a little line from fisk could’ve saved it. matt took a bullet for him for christ sake, that’s crazy they acted like it didn’t happened! like, i get it fisk is the villain so i feel like they are trying to say ‘it doesn’t matter he’s the villain’ but it matters. a great super hero comes with a iconic villain and mattfisk dynamic are so amazing to work with, they did in the original show and they Were actually doing a nice work til the finale idk what happened in their heads. i don’t even wanna talk about the way they’re pushing us the frattkaren love triangle, pluahse i thought we were over karenmatt come on now.. but anyways
even with the mess they did, im excited to see what they’re doing on season 2. im sure you already saw the spoilers about fisk having a boxe fight on foggwells 👀 veeery curious about that!
so sorry about the delay to message you again 😔 lots of love x
No bother about "delays." I know I'm not the most punctual reply either. ♥ Sometimes slow correspondence makes me think of ye olden days of writing letters. Haha. I like it.
Anyway, me with BA right now:
Tumblr media
Gah, you are so so right. 1x08 of BA was a good, strong episode with a good, strong ending. It built the tension up and up and then paid off with such a dramatic end scene. Versus 1x09, which simply... didn't. Probably the closest thing to a climax was Matt and Frank fighting in his apartment, and the energy of the episode just went down from there, settling in a very mid conclusion. That wasn't a finale, it was a S2 prologue. Not to mention how YEAH, basically no payoff from the 1x08 cliffhanger. We got Matt in the hospital for a few minutes and a "I dunno" on why he did it. Laaaaaaame. YOU wrote the plot! You have to write the fallout too! Ugh. But I've kinda abandoned any expectation it'll be (properly) addressed in S2 either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fisk MATTERS! He is one of the very, very, very few last Marvel villains on screen with any sort of depth who hasn't been killed off or written out. (What villains who are left and not dead comprise a very short list with basically no guarantee we'll see them again.)
The creative team behind original DD worked so hard fleshing out Fisk's character, and their work has been praised for a decade. Then BA comes in, eradicates most of that depth, but still gets praise for some reason. I swear NO ONE is noticing how Fisk's complexity (even just his intelligence) has been stripped away, and I feel like a crazy person! I also hate them taking away Fisk's good qualities to escalate him as more and more of a pure evil villain because they're not leaving a lot of outlets for resolution where he isn't killed. No thank you!
But yes, equally as important is Matt's relationship with Fisk. And all of the hype and promo material centering around THEM was how BA got me to put on my clown makeup. I think I'm still just... confused over how we got one scene of dialogue. Even when lead-up interviews said, "We're following the trend of minimizing their scenes together so it's more impactful when they do meet," I thought... what, two or three good dialogues maybe? 🤡 They kept trying to manufacture parallels and proximity between Fisk and Matt with the rapidly intercut conversations they had with other people, but it didn't work. The whole season is based off these two characters but they're basically strangers. Even S3 had the genius forethought to have a mental projection of Fisk haunting Matt. Because with only one phone call and one climactic confrontation, they knew it needed more. BA didn't get that memo.
I hate love triangles so much. Very bitter about them. Name a love triangle in a series that worked for the narrative and didn't rip apart its fandom. Creators don't care about that though because it drives up viewership and engagement. And yes, I hate backsliding. Have these ships not lost their window of opportunity in canon? The will-they/won't-they is dead. (Side note and unpopular opinion: Frank is a great character. Maaaaaaybe he should mostly stay in Punisher and let Daredevil be about Matt.)
I wish I could say I'm excited for S2, but... *sigh* I lost a lot of faith with that finale. Like... a lot. They had me for 1x08 (even with its problems). I thought they might do something here. But currently, to me, it looks like an issue of too much budget, too grand of a plot, and writing that just doesn't go hard enough or clever enough. I don't look for these matters to clear up for S2. They're welcome to prove me wrong, of course. 🙏 I am curious about Fisk's match though. Haha. And maybe since Charlie was there, it will have more significance than just Fisk trying to win back constituent positivity. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sorry for ranting and rambling, but thank you for the ask. ♥ Feel free to keep messaging me at your convenience.

SRW Y Wishlist Part 4 (recent SRW inclusions)
Okay, so this last part is made up of a handful of series from more recent SRW games, mainly the VXT trilogy and 30. I won't be including anything directly connected to any entries on the previous list (no Prince of Darkness or Rebuild of Eva, for example), and I don't have Gundam Wing on here because it's kinda already rumored to be included. Anyway, onward to this last list of personal hopefuls:
Tumblr media
Cross Ange (TV Series): It's rare for me to say that I find a show genuinely enjoyable while also saying I can't recommend it to anyone. The first few episodes of this series are excessive in their violence against the protagonist, much of that violence being sexual in nature. That having been said, the ideas and themes of the show being more focused on a sort of complicated "re-empowerment" story for the various women of Arzenal leads to a show that can stick with you. Also, we already have the Gundam Lesbians and Majestic Prince's enby powerhouse coming to town, let's add more queer characters to the roster baby!
Tumblr media
Buddy Complex (TV Series): This one has only been in one mainline SRW game so far with X, and honestly it's time travel story gets a little overshadowed by the fantasy isekai stuff central to the plot of that game. I haven't seen the show, but this is a case where I'd like to see more of these characters and storylines anyway. It just seems fun.
Tumblr media
Gun X Sword (TV Series): This one kinda works well in nearly any mix of story, as the Clawed Man is a great villain to pair with others and the show's episodic nature means you can pick and choose some of the stories you want to focus in while including them. It's a good series, but as much as I would love to see it again, I could understand leaving it out after two games in a row.
Tumblr media
SSSS.Gridman (TV Series): Chances are honestly better at this point that we get Dynazenon instead for the new game, but either way honestly works out fine in my opinion. This show was an artistically striking successor to the original Gridman tokusatsu series, as well as its American adaptation(?) Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, with clear references to each version of the show but very much focused on telling its own story. Also, I can't stress enough, Akane has some strong queer subtext to her and we want more gay in SRW, dang it.
Tumblr media
ULTRAMAN (TV Series): This one was first included as DLC for SRW 30, and only had a few elements from the show's first season. Now that the series is complete, it's a good time to give the whole thing a chance to shine. I suppose I should also add an honorable mention to a show I forgot to add to my previous parts, because it's Tekkaman Blade being in SRW J that got me to really be interested in power armor series inclusions among the giant robot stuff that SRW is more known for.
Tumblr media
Sakura Taisen (TV series or Games): Again added as DLC only in SRW 30, this one is odd because each individual game in the franchise could be solo in an SRW game, but as of now, the DLC threw in characters from three stories at once with little narrative. It'd be nice to see what they can do with an actual focus on just one of the many game stories or the TV adaptation, especially because they could include other characters than just the lead pair.
Tumblr media
Code Geass: Akito the Exiled (OVA): Surprise entry from Super Robot Wars DD this time, as this very solid Code Geass sidestory hasn't yet appeared in any mainline games as of now. Considering that Resurrection is included, I don't expect this to show up, as they'd have to blend the stories in an odd way to make it actually work with the timeline of events, but who knows? I like it and I'd be interested in seeing it included.
And that's it for my SRW Y Wishlist, basically. We only get these games every few years unless they are making a bunch with the same engine like VXT, so forgive the rather large list of desired inclusions because it'll possibly be another 3 to 4 years before I can dream about this exact thing again. God, I'll be in my 40s at that point. Anyway, my number one wishlist pick is Layzner, and thanks for reading these slightly silly posts.

So this episode was about teachers committing to and caring about their students, and district people too, and I love that :'). Sometimes all you need is a district person who will keep putting in the effort like that, and I love when it happens for people <33
Anyway! I'm so glad they got the interpreter for Amani, she so deserves it :'D. Everyone does :').
I'm glad Gregory decided to let them stay :') I think he can really help these kids out and be a good place for them :)) :D
Also proud of Tariq for finally calling Nick his name :'D hope they do get close :)
Poor Barbara though xD
And once again proud of Janine for fighting through it to get the ASL interpreter :')) and the way she did it was so iconic xD same for the parents lol, going to a reporter that already doesn't like the district LOL, but yeah I am so happy for them :D
Also I love Jacob and Janine <33
With going out for drinks at the end, I hope Janine doesn't leave them behind :((
Btw the reason for the boys being in Gregory's room being that the Mortons are in couples therapy is hilarious xDD
And lol hopefully it's just like, upkeep, because they just got married xD
Anyway!! I am distrustful of districts but I hope it works out (with the issues obviously) on the show :). And even though I am I know this side of the story needs to be seen as well so it's nice to see, switches it up on me a bit more than usual. Like, makes me a little more uncomfortable and see it a different way more than usual. Which is good :)
Loved the episode!!! I'm so excited for next week :D
And also terrified :')
But I almost definitely won't be able to watch it lol so, I'll see y'all a little bit after that lol
Bye y'all!

Lazytown Shenanigans Pt. 8
Wow I'm finally back with my ramblings (nobody waited and nobody asked for this :,DD)!! I was kinda busy getting acquainted with some fandom stuff — reading some fics, to be precise — and was getting some rest from the show to be more excited to continue watching it!
I think that this kind of posts will be posted much less often than before because I will take a break from watching more often, at least I think so
But anyway, this time I've watched "The Baby Troll" and. Uhh. Let's just get right into it 😭
"The Baby Troll."
I'm not even going to lie; this is probably one of my least favorite episodes so far. I honestly can't even say that I liked it even a little bit, this episode is just not it. But of course there were some nice moments, so I'd better start discussing it
I cannot keep silent about the fact that the town looks quite beautiful at night. I'm attaching a wonderful frame to convince you of this, my dear people:
Tumblr media
Well. Not that it's breathtakingly wonderful — there were much more beautiful frames, but I'm a stupid person and forgot to take some screenshots — but I think it looks nice at least??
Before I get too bored writing this post, I want to touch on the topic of my favorite sillies. One thing made me giggle a little: the city is sinking into the night, it's time for everyone to go to bed soon; Robbie walks around the park and wonders why "those brats" are not playing. Buddy... it's like... a nighttime?...
And, well, why does he even bother about kids not playing on the playground huh? I mean, their excited shouts and bustling annoy him all day long, so he should be happy that they're finally not playing. BRO YOU GOT SOME REST, AS YOU WANTED!! USE IT FOR YOUR OWN ENJOYMENT OF PEACE AND QUIET!!
This scene is not that long, I would even say insignificant, but I pay a lot of attention to it because in my opinion it gives a subtle hint that he is actually used to their hustle and games and quite likely finds the park empty without their fun. Yes I will make one small scene make sense; I'm a big softie for Robbie's and kids' interactions, nice to meet you 🤵
Also sometimes I wonder how Robbie manages to get into trouble so stupidly and spectacularly; bro kicked the ball, got hit by the said ball in the ass, and fell in the chest, which locked up in the result. Bravo, bravo 😭😭 At least he wasn't complaining when Sportacus saved him (and the kids as well, but we're not talking about them yet) and even asked for it, because, from my observations, he usually gets annoyed when someone helps him
And his disguise in this episode was kinda silly. I don't have much to say about it tbh, it just looked funny 🤷
But let's talk about some other characters now; from this episode I learned that Meanswell can knit. Attaching evidence to the above fact (this frame looks so cozy I want to get in there):
Tumblr media
And since we're talking about the abilities of some of the characters, I was pleased to learn that Trixie can play the guitar. In my vision she's a great music lover and you can't convince me otherwise
One more thing about the Mayor and then I'll touch on the topic of the thing that genuinely scared me. Meanswell is kind of dumb — like, not even dumb, but just inattentive. Right in front of his eyes the kids ran away from home to the mountains at night, and he didn't even notice it. LIFT YOUR GODDAMN EYES AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR HOUSE. MORE PRECISELY OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. You know what I mean 😭
Oh and well. About the scary part of the episode. What the actual fuck was that troll? Why does it look so freaking scary?.. I watched this episode before going to bed, that is, at night, and how can I sleep peacefully now when the appearance of this creature stands right on the surface of my thoughts? And it was so annoying in addition to it's creepy appearance, and it seems to me that for the most part I didn't like this episode just because of this creature. I don't even want to think about it tbh 💀
In general, as it's already clear, this episode didn't seem to me the best, at least for the entire fourth season. But at least I've learned a lesson from this episode: if you want to eat like a bitch, gobble up an apple. It solves all the problems.
That's pretty much it. Thank you for your guys attention and have a good day :]

Just seen you posted an “ask me my top five”, so I’ve got a fun tma question!:
Either
- Top five characters (main or otherwise)
- Top five statements
You don’t have to do it of course, but I thought that the last one might be a cool to have a think about! As it’s slightly different to a rating of episodes
ooh allow me to do both :DD and you’re so right statements are very different to episodes this is an interesting question!!
the easy one first - fave characters (mostly main cast because I’m very bad at remembering people):
Jon, for a multitude of reasons including the fact that on paper he is wholly under qualified for his job
Tim, mostly because he gives some of the best lines
Gerry, because (a) he canonically has badly dyed black hair and wears bright shirts and (b) he almost kills Leitner (deserved)
(Distortion) Michael, because I love his backstory and also his laugh genuinely gives me chills
Simon Fairchild, mostly because I don’t think I’ve seen much of him in-show atm but the vibes of friendly-old-grandpa-who-throws-people-into-the-sky is just everything to me
~~~
top statements:
(for context I have reached up to maybe MAG 110 and am currently on MAG 95 in my relisten so these are mostly condensed within the first two seasons)
Hive (MAG 32, Jane Prentiss) - no notes just 10/10
Upon The Stair (MAG 85, Unknown) - anything that deals with reality in this way is peak literature for me
Taken Ill (MAG 36, Nicole Baxter) - I generally love the Corruption statements anyway but “we have taken ill, we have passed away” is truly chilling and all the residents being trapped inside, just insane
Fatigue (MAG 74, Lydia Halligan) - Spiral statements come directly under Corruption statements for me being guaranteed to enjoy them and this one is so good
A Guest For Mr Spider (MAG 81, Jonathan Sims) - not only is this a great statement plot wise but also hello to things I would absolutely not want to experience ever as someone very afraid of spiders
I'd love to hear your continued thoughts about S8 because, having read your thoughts, I have the exact opposite read on his character (which fascinates me to no end.) I'll put together a more cohesive post in future with detailed screenshots about what I'm talking about, but:
Mulder didn't shut Scully out, I believe, in a "get out of my life way": he softened every time she spoke to him, he sought her out; and when he neglected her or wasn't there for her, DD played Mulder with tons of regret for his actions. Mulder from Je Souhaite/Requiem was still there; but the writing cut all those important moments out, leaving DD/GA to make the best of what they could with the material (because CC spent so much time on Doggett-- unnecessarily-- to get the audience to REALLY like him, as I believe you said.)
Truly, I'm curious where the ideological split is on Mulder. Where do you think it comes from? My guess... hm... I think it's because Scully knew his patterns since episode one: he challenged her in the basement, making her "prove" herself; and when she stood her ground, he beamed. And when the conversation concluded, she beamed. Because I truly believe Scully LIKES to be challenged, likes to "earn" Mulder's full attention and debunk/debate his ideas. It's their singular love language-- that and silent touches and meaningful gazes-- and she's just as charmed in Chinga whenever he calls as he is in calling her.
You mentioned how Never Again Mulder was still putting the work over her, making her prove herself; and I do agree. That was his lesson. BUT that wasn't what he meant to do, because he's so small and shrunken by the end of the episode that Scully didn't see that her life is also his, dropping his sentence because that would mean their dynamic would have to shift. And he wasn't ready for it, yet. Scully needs the reassurance that Mulder gives her in FTF; but she has to wait for a bit to get there.
Those are just my thoughts-- feel free to checkmate the ludicrous ones~. ;))))
This is going to sound flip, but I honestly try NOT to think about S8 as much as possible, because I get so frustrated, but thoughts under the cut to save all our dashes.
First, I get very grumpy about how much time was wasted in S8 on trying to convince us that John Doggett, former Marine and NYPD detective, was the world's littlest meow meow who had never done anything wrong, despite being a cog in the same imperialist machine that the Syndicate is part of - they just pledge allegiance to a different flag (aliens?). Not only do I have to endure the lack of Mulder and Doggett trying to make himself important to Scully, I have to deal with this piss-fight of Mulder and Doggett both being territorial about Scully and the X-Files when Mulder comes back, as if Doggett has earned the right in however many months versus however many years to be protective of either.
Anyway, I do think Mulder shut her out in S8. The first thing he says to her when he wakes up in "DeadAlive" is a joke. That's also what he does when she comes back to the office in "Never Again". He keeps her at arm's length. Mulder's impulsivity is framed by the narrative as one of his valuable traits - those associopoetic leaps and literal leaps into danger are part of what make him a successful field agent with a high solve rate. He literally flung himself onto a train, you know? But Scully's foray into impulsivity in "Never Again" - sleeping with Jerse, which is arguably less bad than punching a suspect, which Mulder has done multiple times, and on equal footing with sleeping with Kristin - is immediately and harshly punished by the narrative in a way that Mulder's actions aren't. (Sure, Kristin doesn't have a great fate, but Mulder doesn't experience bodily harm or slutshaming about it.) And while Scully presumably never finds out about Kristin, Mulder obviously knows about Jerse and has Opinions about it all.
Instead of understanding Scully's desire to feel like a valued member of the team, on equal footing, with her own desk, he (willfully?) misinterprets her, says it would be difficult to accommodate her request, and then decides that her choices are all about him and the work, as if Scully's desire can only be understood in the context of it being an attempt to rebel against or punish Mulder. He has conceptualized himself as the embodiment of The Work, in essence, where as Scully's body is Worked On, even though she tries over and over to prove herself and put herself on equal footing. Everything that happens to Scully is about him; everything that happens to him is also about him. We know that he cares about her and he's worried that she was hurt, but he doesn't show that to her in "Never Again". We also don't really see him allowing her to show she cares about him much in S8, except to tend to the minor bodily harm he gets with that scratch (even then, he tells her she has "manos de piedra").
Mulder's trauma in S8 is real and it's definitely earned. The things he went through are hard things. It's understandable that he's shellshocked when he comes back and everything is different. When Scully was abducted, he tried his best to keep everything pretty much the same in anticipation of her return, the way Samantha is still a child in his mind. He refused to have a partner, etc. Scully made an effort, but it isn't as if she could put her pregnancy on pause or get rid of Doggett. Both of them are at fault for not having conversations about that, but he does deflect her few half-hearted efforts with humor and sarcasm. He's a little more open in "Empedocles" after he's feeling more reintegrated into his life, but we don't see much indication of him seeking any kind of help with that reintegration, either from Scully or a qualified professional, whereas Scully went to therapy multiple times and seemed to have an established relationship with her therapist. He holes up in his apartment and decides she's shut him out despite the ways she keeps trying to invite him back into her life. This is in pretty sharp contrast with Scully after her abduction/cancer immediately trying to get back to work and be his partner again (not healthy either, but a very different approach). Mulder, who feels left out of the decisions she made when he was gone, leaves her out of the majority of his decisions in S8. He tries to convince himself she was better off without him, but that's not what she's telling him. He's in so much pain that he doesn't know how to make room for her hurt. That ends up causing both of them more pain. But she still makes space for him: inviting him over, asking him to be involved in the baby's life, giving him the desk back in the office, etc. Every now and again, he's able to step into that space, but it seems to take effort. He's so willing to sacrifice himself/what they have without ever asking her if that's what she wants.
The moment in the Pilot is lovely. But anyone will tell you that the thrill of proving yourself for the first time doesn't last through having to prove yourself for the hundredth time. Scully never betrays him, but he still only lets her in so much. Yes, he tells her about Samantha, but he doesn't tell her about Diana. And sure, he tells other people that he values her skepticism, or at least, her willingness to put in the work to come up with an explanation that isn't just based on Vibes™ and crystals, but he doesn't tell her until FTF, at which point he's making a hard choice harder for her. Even then, it's framed as about what she's done for him (saved him, made him a whole person), not who she is to him (a true partner, a soulmate). He's a dick to her in WotC despite her being willing to help him, they're dicks to each other in "Syzygy", and I would argue she's not as charmed as you say in "Chinga", because he tries to talk about Supernatural Explanation 101 as if she doesn't have a Doctorate in Weird Shit by now. He's charmed by her, but it's like she's a dog with a new trick, not like she's the person who's been right beside him for five years researching all of this. Scully has been shown to accept the strange as long as she can explain it and he's talking to her like she's fresh out of X-Files Orientation. Yes, he sometimes tells her to trust herself and that her intuition is good, but those are usually the moments when her intuition and her training are telling her two different things ("Beyond The Sea", "Emily", "Memento Mori", etc.).
This is not to say that Scully always does the right thing with respect to either the work or their relationship, but those are my reads on those threads. I honestly don't care if Mulder feels small at the end of "Never Again". It's literally not about him. It's about Scully wondering what she should do with her life if she isn't getting what she needs, and finding out immediately there are repercussions that Mulder will never face. When Mulder goes through a sort of similar crisis of faith in "The Red And The Black", Scully teases him a little, but she's ultimately there for him in a way he's not there for her at this moment, and he never really understands the way that she is disrespected and undervalued by the patriarchal system of the FBI.
(Reading the wiki, I found out Doggett is supposed to have a J.D. and a Master's and that just makes me angrier tbh. Has no one in that writer's room ever actually gotten an advanced degree?)
Yeah in my opinion Phil would still be up for some dapg and podcast and regular joint content and whatnot because he knows that 1) their audience (at least what’s left of it) loves it, 2) HE loves it, 3) Dan loves it. The problem is the usual: Dan wants to do something big and important so he can be taken seriously or whatever, but let’s be real — his attempts so far have led to mixed responses. The book? Wasn’t that great, we can say it now. DD? Still trying to figure out what it was for other than promo for the tour (and the content itself wasn’t good and so 2016). I still can’t believe he decided to ditch the gaming channel and joint content for *gestures vaguely* that. I wish him well and I’ll always root for him, but he really needs someone to give him career advice
i can't believe you're pulling me back with this shit redhgfs i was peacefully existing for weeks not thinking about Dan's failing career ffs. god help me!
RIGHT!!!!! all of what you said! not only career advice but also a reality check, and i mean it in a very nice way. i guess we can agree that he grew out of youtube and doesn't want to do it anymore (partially because of what happened with youtube originals. fuck them). and that's okay. and wanting something bigger, more serious, conceptual, and right for him is also okay. i support that. but every piece of, let's say, work he was trying to do outside youtube turned out to be tied to youtube anyway. and not because he wasn't trying hard enough (well, debatable), but because most of his experience that he is willing to talk about is either already mentioned on the platform or happened because of his youtube career. and also it's the best place to promote whatever he is doing, so he can't escape it unless he hires a marketing team and invests thousands of dollars in a real promo campaign. PHYSICAL as well (non-existent billboards and posters for wad shows will haunt me to death).
the book. i have a question (lots of them, but whatever). have you read it? and if yes, was it interesting from a fan's pov? and god, would i love to know the opinions of people who aren't familiar with Dan and his content. i bought the book in 2021, can't make myself read it because i'm afraid to get annoyed at him repeating himself.
yeah, i also can't believe he is too fucking stubborn to return to what clearly works for us and him with Phil. because it can be a side thing, and he can focus on his stand-up bullshit at the same time. on the other hand, i watched Lilly's interview with Anthony about how her late night show was taking ALL of her time and she couldn't continue to make youtube content. and i thought, maybe Dan is in the same situation. his new projects take everything? but there's a difference! he is not shooting 2-3 episodes per day. and for wad he delegated lots of work to other people. some of them did a shitty job, but that's a different topic. that's why i would pay my own money for dnp to talk about the work processes in detail. that could explain where all these weeks and months go. dd was shot within a few months, partly during the tour. so even that didn't take that much time. and i know there are scripts, and logistics, and rehearsals, and pitches to networks or whatever, and he is probably doing a lot of manager's work himself sometimes. but damn, math is not mathing.
