hi guys. i’ll pretend i know staging directing and anything more about music than “i like sounds” here 👍

first, critique:

the concert felt and was rather short. i understand why, but it was still sad to had it end so soon lol

my personal opinion here: i wish we got more older songs other than the iconic ones, but again, this is the guilty album concert, so i understand

he really did not do well on “not over you” and i’m glad he acknowledged it too, not just moving past a subpar performance

“want” also wasn’t the nicest imo? he sang that weirdly low, or at least that’s what i heard

maybe again, just my audio, but it really didn’t sound as if he actually Sung “advice” lol

this one i’ve said before but honestly, even taemin can’t do “move” now - the dance i mean. maybe it was the clothing here though bc on the show with akmu it was great. but yeah the red cloth outfit didn’t pair well with “move” imo and made the key hip movement look messy

this is not about taemin; the beyond live style of concert kind of deprived us of actual cinematography of it :/ like tell me why strings and black rose looked so much better on random fancams from 7 rows behind than… on the actual screen lol

general commentary:

he was so nervous. really. like i get why, again, i understand it all, and even that didn’t stop him from delivering some absolutely delicious stages, but ohhh brother he was nervous

why was the audience so. dead. like why did you hype up my man when he did good huh. i have to do everything in this house myself next time i’ll be the hype man nr 1

this is my lukewarm take: i didn’t enjoy the “criminal” rock version that much. it was very boring? the chord progression of the guitar sounded too much like a sample without much twist, and there were better ways to incorporate rock into that song imo

i think overall the ratio of lip sync to backing track to no backing track was reasonable and i do like that he didn’t try to lip sync much, just letting everyone see “yeah this is playback”

and now <3 praise and what i enjoyed <3

even though i really don’t like “the rizzness”, that opening was fucking insane. imagine starting a concert while hanging upside down. and singing while it. wow!

all the ment segments were so precious. it was clear he missed the audience for his solo stuff too. i know he’s been touring with shinee for half a year now and all but i imagine it’s different to know that these people came here only for you, you know? the interactions were cute and it was just… well it’s good to see the both sides of lee taemin :)

as i mentioned, the ratio of supported vocals to raw vocals was reasonable, but when he did actually sing… oh lee taemin. this is obviously a biased opinion because i genuinely love his voice, it was what made me fall in love with him as an artist in the first place. notable mentions of vocals imo:

“heaven” was perfectly delivered and a feast as always. the bridge in “heaven” is probably my top 5 taemin bridges, so it’s not surprising, but the energy on the stage while he performs that is So Good. MWAH

“light” was fun! i was dancing along, the playing with the dancers choreo is entertaining to watch and it’s a good time over all

after the flop of “not over you” he payed back with both “night away” and “blue” to me. “night away” especially, it felt so warm and so… just lovely. he nailed that

even though i don’t particularly enjoy “black rose” i can’t deny, it was so good. the choreo is always captivating and he sung it well

“door” … where do i even start. “door” is one of my favourite taemin songs of all time, and to see it executed in such a bold way was absolutely incredible and so enthralling, i felt enchanted listening to each new note and line. genuinely an amazing experience

some miscellaneous thoughts that i don’t know where to place:

i loved “impressionable,” the energy was so right for it, especially, well the D2 unzipped pants :)

the “strings” choreo is so sensual and sexy and yet in this classic taemin style of subtlety about it, it’s so nice to watch, to see him get lost in the pain/pleasure the song talks about. and there is almost, a grown aspect to it now, the aspect of like fully owning his body and what he does with it. very nice

“she loves me she loves me not” was cute, the choreography was very simple but still nice to look at, and i loved the energy on stage of it. the girl gang TM smiling and all :) good time!

rearrangements/special concert versions of songs:

as i mentioned above, i have lukewarm feelings about “criminal,” i didn’t dislike it, but it could have been better

LOVED the whole “danger” stage so much as well as “famous,” to me they’re like two sides of the same coin tbh. and something about both of them being in the same section as want mmm…

i wish i didn’t have to talk about “guilty” but i think i have to mention “guilty” too. the staging was absolutely gorgeous, the orchestral pieces at the beginning and before the bridge, the change in choreo of the dancers as if ensnaring him… it was delicious! such a good stage!

a separate section for the encore because i feel like it deserves it:

i don’t think it’s too untoward to think of jonghyun’s passing when it came to the date of the concert. i saw a few other mentions of it too, so i know i’m not alone in this belief. and this is not to suggest it was somehow planned this way with this date in mind, but rather, soemthing to just keep in the back of your head, i guess?

the whole encore was magical. opening the concert back up with “idea”, the orchestral version nonetheless, and staging that mixed both the hell and heaven aspects of the concept (light blue iridescent suit + dark stage lighting and fire) was delicious to witness and a great way to get the energy in the audience back up again

i don’t think i can talk much about what “pansy” means to me as a song without crying. maybe it’s stupid, because that’s exactly what the song was meant to do, but the fact that taemin co-wrote it too just… makes it so special :( and to know what… the sentiment of the song is probably even doubled now, to know that he came back from the enlistment, because so many fans kept loving him and his music and we stayed by his side even when he wasn’t there. this is just me being sappy i know but to hear “pansy” again made my heart sing

“i think it’s love” is a beautiful song and he sung it beautifully. it was a great encore choice, just an overall masterpiece

finishing the concert with “identity” of all his songs, on a concert named metamorph after the idea of metamorphosis, the imagery of cocoons and blooming and growth seen throughout the concert, with, once again, the significance of the date… it meant so much. it means so much. it was genuinely a moving performance, one that hooks you in and keeps you there, not letting you go. the emotion the execution the meaning behind it all… it just felt right, for that song to close the concert

CLOSING THOUGHTS

i’ve seen every taemin concert, save for the beyond live one in 2021, and this one fits into the theme beautifully. it’s a comeback, it’s a reminder that he’s still here, that he is Back, and he is back for good! as he said in one fan sign, this will go on for as long as he wants to and he will be the one to put the stop to it. i’m grateful for everything taemin did musically this year and i can’t wait to see him grow even more, as an artist and as a person. love you! if anyone read this whole thing leave me an 🍎 emoji in the replies hah <3

Wooyoung, your boyfriend was the happiest for this new world tour. He loved to see international Atinys and to interact with them. Of course, to visit every city too.

When the music stopped, you focused back on the group and clapped them like always. “That was better than yesterday,” you smiled. San winked at you while Wooyoung came to hug you. “Oh babe! That’s gross! You are sweating so bad!” you said disgusted. Yeosang grabbed the water bottle near you and said to leave his friend, “even if he’s not sweating, he’s gross”. Wooyoung punched his arm, “you are mean!” You sniggered at them always fighting each other. “You are in a love-hate relationship guys.” “But with me he’s in a love-love relationship,” said San happily. You nodded and followed Hongjoong. The grocery wasn’t too far away from KQ’s building, you went there in 5 minutes. Hongjoong grabbed a pack of water while you took a salad fruits and chocolate bars. On the way back to KQ, Hongjoong asked: “Are you happy with Wooyoung?” You almost chocked at this sudden question. Hongjoong was the last person, you thought, that would ask these kind of private things. You shook your head to regain your consciousness, “yeah, really happy why?” “I was just curious. He seems a lot more different with you than with us.” He smiled. “Really? I guess that he takes care of his behavior with me.” Hongjoong laughed, opening the door of KQ’s building. “You are going to see the real Wooyoung soon!” “I think I saw the real him many times, but I can’t blame him to show the good things only yet.” You giggled. “It’s been 4 months that you are dating?” “Hum… 5 months.” You smiled, “time flies.” Hongjoong scratched his head embarrassed to have messed up the date, “true.” You called the elevator but added: “I would never think I could date someone like Wooyoung. Answer me please.” You said seriously. “Y/N…” You know that he wouldn’t say anything, so you went out straight to the dance practice room when the elevator’s door opened. “Y/N wait!” Shouted the leader behind you. You needed immediately a real answer. You couldn’t believe this till Wooyoung would say it. You opened the door. All the members were watching something on Yunho’s phone. “Wooyoung!” You called him throwing your bag on the corner of the room. “Wait we are watching a funny video!” he said. “Wooyoung you should really listen her…” added Hongjoong behind you. “Only 2 minutes left!” he said, still focusing on the video. “Jung Wooyoung, is that true that you are dating me because of a bet?” you asked straight. All the members around your boyfriend were looking at him panicked, while he was staring at you. You noticed how his eyes were wide open and panicked. “W-What?” “You are dating me because of a-“ your voice cracked. You knew that you would cry but you needed explanation. You put your hands on your waist and stared at the ceiling to stop the tears flooding in your eyes. “Y/N, I-“ Said Wooyoung walking up in front of you. “Just answer me. When he was about to hug you tight to show how much you are important in his life, Seonghwa walked up next to him. “Y/N, we are so sorry… we were immature at this time. We never wanted to hurt you.” He bowed politely to apologize. All the boys imitate him, except Wooyoung who was looking at you. You wiped your tears and took a deep breath. “I need to go.” “Wait Y/N! Please listen me!” He grabbed your hand. You couldn’t feel more disgusted by him right now. “Okay it was a bet, but I don’t regret it at all! I’m really happy with you and for nothing in the world I would change that!” he explained, trying to save this relationship. “That’s too late Wooyoung.” You said facing him. “Without this stupid bet… would you asked me on a date?” He didn’t reply. He couldn’t lie again. To be honest, he hadn’t noticed you at this restaurant. Only Yunho and Mingi did. They bet 70,000 wons* that he wouldn’t get your number. When he came determined, you found his personality very unique and you kind of fell in love with his laugh. That’s why you accepted. “Honestly, Am I your type of girl?” Wooyoung didn’t reply again only looking at you, being sorry. “That’s what I thought.” You ripped your arm of his embrace. “But now you are! You literally changed my world!” Tears were now flooding on your cheeks, but you face remain serious, not giving any emotions. Or even all of you.” You turned around to see Hongjoong behind you. “I’m feeling confused, lost, alone, betrayed and heartbroken. I fell in love you with you even if we were dating for 5 months already. I wanted to stay and spend time with you as long as I can.” You confessed. “I’m disappointed by all of you. How immature you are to play with someone’s feelings?” Seonghwa bowed again, “we are really sorry.” “Y/N, please… we can get through it.” Said Wooyoung. “I don’t want to.” You said straight, lips shaking. “The only thing I need is to get away from you and forget that you came in my life.” You had never saw Wooyoung crying before. JUNE COMEBACKS REVIEW

BLACKPINK: HOW YOU LIKE THAT

ngl I’m kinda sad bc a lot of y’all don’t like the song ;-; but I can’t do anything about it since it’s your opinion so

but I hope that people know the difference between hating and giving criticism saying the song sucks and that it’s trash music is straight up music

I can get why people are disappointed with the song since everyone wanted almost the same thing, “jennie getting a rap part”, “jisoo saying blackpink in your area” and a high note from rosé

personally I really like the song, to me it’s not the same as dddd and ktl tbh I think it’s different

plus I kinda expected it to be like that bc their songs usually follow that yg style ya know the only songs I say that don’t follow that stereotypical yg style is “love scenario”, “stay” and AKMU’s songs

i mean if you compare the song with other yg artists song, they all have the same vibe to it because of the “yg style” we always say

the song also gives me nct and skz vibes too, like specifically “punch” and “side effects” bc of the heavy edm and also bc their songs has been called noise before dhshd

but enough of that

I really like how the song starts calmly in the beginning and then it starts to be more aggressive

also I like the fact that each of the girls get a chance to say “how you like that”

I’ve watched their encore stages and I don’t know why people are saying they sound bad???? maybe they need a better vocal coach but the fact that people are taking advantages of the situation just to hate on them smh

if “dance the night away” had an older sister, it would be “more & more”

also I really like the eve & adam concept, “more & more” is also another “creepy”ish song that is hidden behind a catchy tune, like “yes or yes” where ppl think it’s a cute song but the lyrics says otherwise

okay actually writing this out, it’s mv has “dtna” vibe but the song is so much like “yes or yes”

if you read the lyrics, the girls are basically saying that “no matter how hard you try to hide, you’re going to be mine again”

back the real song review, I’m so glad that momo got a dance break! I think that this is their fairest line distribution yet. jeongyeon got her lines, dubchaeng got their rap parts and momo has a lot of center parts!!

and the girls look so much happier during their promotions especially tzuyu! she was smiling so much, maybe it’s because mina is with them and I’m so happy they get to perform as nine again

it’s refreshing to see how the girls improved

unfortunately, izone will be disbanding this year ;-; this is why I never liked the produce series

but we do have some ideas what will happen to the members though, we all know yena will be added into everglow, i having a feeling that eunbi and chaeyeon will be debuting as a soloist, they have so much potential plus the radiate chungha energy

nako, hitomi and sakura would most likely return to Japan, although I see sakura staying in korea to pursue an acting career and hitomi as a producer since she wrote some of izone’s songs

yuri might debut as a solo or debut in a new girl group as main vocalists, the same goes for chaewon

i see minju and hyewon going into acting careers and CF contracts, the same as kang mina, especially since minju is now an mc for music core

whereas for wonyoung and yujin, their both still young so I think they’ll finish school before re-debuting in groups plus yujin will be attending sopa

especially wonyoung, we all know that she’s actually really smart and is good at academics, i also think she might do modeling work, she fits the criteria

i also kinda see yujin pursuing an acting career because she will be in the theatre and film department in sopa. unless starship is going to debut a new girl group, I hope that yujin can debut as a soloist instead

20: random fact: I have really sensitive hearing, like to the point where my primary care doctor called it ‘abnormal’ the last time I had a physical; I participated in a research study recently which involved testing the frequency range of my hearing, and according to the technician I could detect frequencies 15-20% above and below the average frequency range for my age group. But that’s offset by the fact that heavy noise like busy buildings, crowded streets, and nearby construction overwhelm me really easily, which seriously sucks

21. my aesthetic: largely seasonal, and heavily influenced by the Ghibli movie aesthetic. In the summer, it’s the heat rising off the pavement on a cloudless afternoon, the feeling of a cold bottle pressed against your neck, the drone of a fan and the sound of cicadas drifting in through a screen window, lying on a straw-mat floor with the windows thrown open next to another and lazing around talking nonsense through the afternoon because it’s too hot to do anything else;

Yang Hyun Suk finally steps down from YG Entertainment

Fucking finally.

Warning long rant ahead

I have been saying this for so long. Ever since YG became a part of the "Big 3" with SM and JYP was when his head got too big. Well it finally popped.

Back in the 2010's BigBang and 2ne1 were his cash cows and he must've made a lot when PSY got crazy big around the world.

Post 2ne1 the company debut so many groups without giving them proper schedules showing how bad the management of the company was. What sucks is that I and many fans ignored it because we trusted YG ent. The songs were great and the artists are people we love and continue to love right now. It makes me gag that we used to justify these actions back in the day because that's how us fans trusted him. Honestly the fact that CL, Dara, AKMU, etc. Are still in YG despite not getting the proper promotions they should have is what "keeps" me from completely dropping YG. I know their contracts aren't up yet which is unfortunate. I wonder if there is a way to get out of them because I would.

I've said this again and again but when he disbanded 2ne1 it was one of the biggest catalysts of why I had to leave kpop for a while. I know it sounds cheesy but when an artist you truly loved and cared for was suddenly gone it hits you hard. I lost my trust for YG. Honestly if there was a way for me to just send money to my favorite artists I will send it to them personally so YG themselves doesn't take the profits. I stopped trusting companies because I finally understood how bad it is in this industry. God knows what's happening in smaller companies.

The Hanbin situation just honestly broke me even further. The audacity of the company to just throw him out so easily. I know that anything to do with drugs like weed is a big issue there but the way the handled it was terrible. When GD and T.O.P. had this issue years back they didn't throw them out. They protected the hell out of them but Hanbin nope. The utter disrespect. And what irks me is that IKON is forced to continue on with their Japan promotions without their leader.

I'm too tired to go any further but I truly hope and wish better things happen. I know not much may change since the actual CEO is his brother anyway but this is a start. I do hope they take back Hanbin because he is the core of IKON. Things need to get changed for the better.

EDIT: the CEO which is Yang Hyun Suk's brother has also stepped down from YG Entertainment!!! Idk what happens now!!!

now that is absolutely subjective because i feel like i probably don’t know a lot of amazing singers and i’m so sorry about that but ailee is up there for sure, and in my very humble very personal opinion i love the sound of suhyun (from akmu), taeil, and junhoe’s (ikon) voices even if their technique may not objectively be the best i could listen to them all day

Top 10 Songs of 2017...so far

Hello, Mansaebebes! 2017 has been an amazing year so far musically, with many new and diverse releases from both rookie and veteran artists. To celebrate what is shaping out to be an amazing year, Mansae Entertainment is proud to share a list of the top K-Pop 10 songs of 2017 so far. Before getting to the list, I would like to stress that this list is only for songs that were released between January and June of 2017. This is also a personal review and, in no way, reflects the opinions of Mansae Entertainment as a whole, but the sole opinions of a single author and his musical tastes.

10. “Laputa (feat. Crush)” - DPR Live

If you do not listen to DPR Live while you read this, I need you to expose yourself to this talented musician. DPR Live has a type of flow and delivery that, while powerful and impactful, has a form of melancholic calm to it, especially in the work on his debut album “Coming To You Live.” I will admit that I am always reluctant to start listening to Korean hip-hop artists because they often try too hard and appropriate culture to no end, but DPR Live’s music and lyricism drew me in almost instantly. Namely his two tracks, “Laputa” and “Right Here Right Now,” both featuring some of Korean hip-hop's biggest names. “Laputa” appears to get its name from the mythical flying island in “Gulliver’s Travels.” The track’s main hook includes DPR Live comparing his lover's body to a perfectly circular island to explain how perfect her body is, but he continues to explain how here beauty is astronomical, as astronomy is a key point of interest for the island's inhabitants. When Crush delivers his part in the latter half of the songs, his voice truly gives the song an ethereal sense of mystery and dynamics.

9. “Complex” - Zion.T

I feel like no one really knew what would happen after Zion.T signed with The Black Label, and I feel like everyone approached the “OO” album with an equal sense of hope and apprehension. However, Zion.T showed us that there was definitely nothing to worry about. Not only did he infuse his signature Zion.T “flavor” into all the songs, but he also managed to collaborate with one of K-Pop’s biggest stars, seen when G-Dragon featured on “Complex.” Easily the most anticipated song on the album, "Complex” brought together two of the best lyricists in K-Pop and allowed them to have a back and forth over what it means to have fame and be a musician. Zion.T’s voice drips with melancholy as he croons about his own shortcomings and throws shade at what he views as idol fame before G-Dragon brags back with a rap about the success he has enjoyed while being an idol. Twinkling piano keys, solid snaps, and light drum beats give this amazing piece of lyrical genius its own distinct sound, and the two “Complex” artists delivery give it its life.

8. I’ll Be Yours-Girl’s Day

I have never been a fan of Girl’s Day. I’d just never taken the time to listen to their music even though I had ample time during their year-long absence. I am admittedly still not a huge fan, but that doesn’t stop “I’ll be Yours” from being a bop. If I could use one word to describe this song it would “VOCALS.” From start to finish they hit us with powerful vocals that, backed by the amazing brassy production, allows them to reach amazing heights. The sassy delivery, the amazing big band feel, and the incredibly grown woman vibes that need to continue as a trend for the rest of 2017, all joined to make this track one of the best bangers of the first half of the year. I know that many felt let down by this comeback, especially after waiting for such a long time, but for me, the track was just what Girl’s Day needed to further solidify themselves as a force in the K-pop industry.

7. Archangels of the Sephiroth(세피로트의 나무)-Stellar

So, are y’all really still sleeping on Stellar? Are y’all serious? Let me get off my soapbox and talk about this song. “Sting” was one of the best songs of 2016, in my opinion, and “Cry” was also exceptionally good, so I was extremely excited for Stellar to make a comeback, especially after hearing that they raised over 1000% of their Makestar goal. This comeback introduced the new member, Soyoung, in the best way possible. Not only was she given her own spotlight in the MV, but she also was given significant lines, in what was sonically a departure from all of Stellar’s previous works, and K-pop songs in general for that matter. With a name like “Archangels Of The Sephiroth,” I was expecting something different, and Stellar delivered the difference in the best way possible. With an instrumental, that sounds distinctly Middle Eastern, and a jarring almost shouted chorus, the song is a definite earworm. There was no vocal acrobatics, in the song and that was probably for the best, the song gets its distinction from it’s instrumental, and again, I applaud Stellar for taking a different route than most K-pop artists and doing it to great effect. Now, if you guys would stop viewing Stellar as only a “sex” group, and acknowledge their quality music and the countless comebacks that are less suggestive, then we could be cool.

6. Akmu-Reality (리얼리티)

I loves me some AKMU, I really do, and when I found out that they were getting released from the YG dungeon again after less than a year's time since “Spring,” I was extremely excited. AKMU is one of the groups where, no matter how long they have between releases, they will always be fantastic. Their 2nd full-album “Winter” introduced a plethora of great tracks, but none more so than “Reality.” As a self-proclaimed Veteran K-pop stan, the idea of growing older scares me, especially because I turned 20 fairly recently, but leave it to AKMU to write an upbeat and almost childish song on the subject. With witty lyrics and a signature AKMU delivery, this song was a great way to start the year.

5. Don’t Wanna Cry(울고 싶지 않아)-Seventeen

Seventeen is my ultimate bias boy group and being so I have come to expect a certain level of off-kilter energy and funk from their title tracks. With “Don’t Wanna Cry” they showed a different side of themselves not yet seen on a lead single. They showed vulnerability. While I am honestly getting tired of EDM songs in K-pop, Seventeen used the sound well and did not let the production overpower their emotions and the song's meaning. This title track is unique because it features the entire rap-line singing and two of the most underrated rappers in the group (Mingyu and Wonwoo) carry the song to its climax. This song is a great addition to Seventeen’s discography and the year in music as a whole, but please……no more EDM, Y'all.

4. 1+1=0(Feat. Dean)-Suran

Another song about the difficulties of life, especially as a youth. “1+1=0” is the title track off of Suran’s debut solo mini-album and she proved herself a solo musical force. She easily has one of the most unique voices in K-pop, and when paired with Dean, a veteran of collaborating with female artists (see last years “Shut up and Groove” and “And July” by Heize), it was no surprise to me when this song turned out to be an amazing track. A play on words “일” or “il” represents the number one but also means work. The pun being that work and work doesn’t equal anything, and as a rising college junior with a lot on my plate, this song truly spoke to me. Backed by playful guitar strums, this song urges you to not be afraid of relaxing when burdened by work and “just chill.”il” represents the number one but also means work. 3. Baby Don’t Like It-NCT 127

I was not a fan of NCT 127’s debut. "Firetruck" was a HUGE disappointment to me, and the subsequent mini-album was met with similar sentiments. With all that in mind, I was not expecting their sophomore mini-album to be full of certified hits. I have no shame when saying that, in my opinion, every song on this album could be singles. “Baby Don’t Like It” deserved so much more play than it was given. Y’all, Mark and Taeyong did that, and they didn’t just do it, they did it dirty. When Mark delivered the line “I like it when we get closer, when it gets risky,” it was a wrap for me. Taeyong and Mark are honestly some of the best young idol rappers in the industry, and no one was expecting SM to be able to pull off Hip-Hop concepts to the effect that NCT has done. This smooth piece of hip-hop and R&B gold proves that SM can tackle any genre and it is still a staple in my playlists to this day.

2. Signal-Twice

Twice has truly earned the title of “Nation’s Girl Group.” They constantly deliver bop after bop after bop and “Signal” is no different. I’m not gonna lie, I was a little worried when I found out that Twice was not working with Black Eyed Pilseung for this title track but instead with Mr JYP himself. Granted Park Jinyoung is an amazing producer, but Twice has always seemed to work well without his help, and the JYP Entertainment releases that were not produced by him so far have been consistently good. He shut me up real quick with this Grade A smash. Twice is a girl group that benefits of the quirky factor, and that factor combined with the bounce clap-driven composition and the easy sing-along chorus was enough to launch this song up to the same level of unexpected greatness of Twice’s previous title tracks.

1. Night Rather Than Day(낮보다는 밤)-EXID

EXID has always been a group with quality music. I’d been a listener of their music even before Hani’s viral fancam, but I didn’t consider myself a fan until LI.E. After that song, I was excited about the group's next release, and even after Solji’s unfortunate hiatus, they managed to cement my status as a Leggo. I am a huge fan of chill pop songs and I’m a huge fan of retro-esque pop songs and “Night Rather Than Day” delivers on both of these aspects. After EXID's skyrocket to popularity with “Up and Down,” I’d come to expect a certain bombastic sound from them, but they seemed to do a complete 180 with this release. The only word I can use to describe my feelings after hearing the song is ‘warm.’ This jam puts me in a good mood every time I hear it and I want to dance through life when the chorus hits. This song truly deserves the number one spot on my list for being a departure from not only earlier EXID songs, but from modern K-pop trends as a whole. Shinsadong Tiger, EXID’s long-time collaborator, really did his thing when he helped to compose this amazing title track. I cannot wait until Solji fully recovers so I can watch the girls do, what has become my favorite EXID song as a whole group.

As I said before, the first half of 2017 has been an amazing year so far with quality content dropping left and right. The rest of my associates at Mansae and I, cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.

kind of goodbye?

hey guys, this is the original admin here. lately, i've been thinking and i really don't think it's a good idea for me to continue being admin of this blog. this is for lots of reasons but mainly, i'm just not enough of an akmu stan anymore to run it? i don't want to sound mean or anything but as of the last couple months i've kind of drifted away from being a full time akmu stan. don't get me wrong, i still love them so so much and enjoy their music. and i don't think that to run a blog like this you have to be super obsessed with the artist it's about. but for me, it's got to the point where it's a chore for me to even try to make quotes for akmu. and that's not fun! it means i post about once every few weeks and when i do post, the quality is not great, it's usually just a random quote i found somewhere that i thought was funny, it has nothing to do with their actual personalities. i could go on like this but i realised that by doing what i've been doing lately, i'm kind of warping people's views of akmu? i know this is a humour blog not intended to be taken seriously at all but some people do use blogs like this to get an idea of the members personalities. i would absolutely hate to be at all responsible for someone to have the wrong idea of suhyun or chanhyuk's personalities just because i, having not much interest in the blog, was too lazy to find more accurate quotes. therefore, i think it's best that i step down. i've already asked someone if they would like to take over as admin, and if they (understandably) say no then i will try and find someone else to do it, because i really don't want this blog to die. it's really important to me that it stays up because there aren't many akmu humour blogs and i think they need more fans and memes and things. i will be deleting my current side blog (incorrectsouthclub) and remaking it as a new main blog because i do still stan south club more than any other group and i want to continue making quotes for them, but i also want it to have a fresh start. until then, you can still contact me here if you want to talk to me (i'll post the link to the new blog when i make it.) thank you so so so much to everyone who follows this blog & likes it, you guys are awesome and i honestly never thought it'd get more than 10 followers so thank you :)

honestly i'm kinda disappointed with dinosaur? idk what i expected but that wasn't it i love akmu but... that doesn't feel like them at all the song sounds just like every other pop song, nothing special or eye(ear?)-catching about it. not memorable at all. the mv looks like they tried to achieve something, gave up halfway and went like "you know what, let's just... let people come up with smth, they'll interpret anything" dunno i just look at all the previous amazing mv's and listen to catchy, good songs and i just.. can't help but be real damn disappointed, man.
