If you see a chubby Silver Lynel and a Floor ma- I mean- Fire Wizzrobe traveling together it would be best to turn around and not approach them.

squeezing in a little korok hunting before i have to Do Stuff just kidding as soon as i finished typing that i had to get up. but NOW im back to hunting koroks
every day my map opens with everything on as default and i just caught sight of two more gloom spawn points and became Afraid. under one hand it kind of takes the fun out of it if i know Where they are under the other i become extremely terrified of even going NEAR where they are. so.
i did go ahead an enable lynels though because you have to be prepared for that shit and i was very surprised to see there are still quite a few on the surface! incheresting...
absolutely disgusted with my past self for doing SO many shrines without getting the chest. what was she thinking!!! girl you never leave the chest! and since i don't have any fans (i have 2 left but theyre for emergencies only), i can't go in and get them without losing my bike and having to spend zonaite to make a new one...after i finish this section, im tracking some fans down for sure. and THEN im gonna expand my energy wells
aw man the spring of power...i'll never forget the memory from here!!!! i can't go into the quarry tho bc Hands >:(
YOOOOOO this statue also wants to know about the mother statue........
oh shit she wants dinraal's claw........also, canonical dinraal she pronouns. hell yeah
oh um. just kidding! i totally do have to go into the quarry! my bike probably wouldn't be able to get out this tiny hole...
this (dragging the bike everywhere) wouldnt be an issue if i just had more FANS. i have like thirty steering sticks. why am i so short on fans!!
i am Extremely Close to the spawn point adn i am Very scared.
oh you know what i shouldve left a fast travel point at the spring of power...augh, but then i wouldn't have enough to do the other springs and still keep one at the temple of time...nevermind, i guess...
wisdom and courage both have one REALLY close by though...well, whatever. i only need to come back once, probably, and if it gives me more to do i'll lay one then. i don't want to go back near the quarry lol
i REALLY miss urbosa's fury. i don't know how to take out taluses that have a weak point on their back without it. this talus is super weak and yet it's taking forever bc i just can't hand a hit on it!
eventually got it with midiar bullet time bomb arrows. apparently this particular talus was a quest objective!
apparently the lynel in this forest is a normal one...maybe i'll try to fight it
oooh i'm v nervous. snapped a pic and saved just in case
GOT HIM!!!!! easy peasy. i'd hoped i was op for this and i am <3 nice to be op for SOMETHING
lost my bike ;_; i knew it would despawn...i mean i can make another but i'm trying to save my zonaite for batteries!!!
this one precise strike shrine is bullshit. i'm gonna have to get this particular chest later this is making me crazy
oooh using the bike to skip the long walk on the big sand spiral....n*ce
263 seeds!! not bad for just an hour or so

“The first recipe of hers is about how to make the dough puffy.”
𝙸𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗: ⸝⸝ 📖 🥨 𓂅
Hello... Her name is Louisa Aberline and she goes by the nicknames Loui, Isa, or Uwi which her friends often pick. She is okay with any other cute nicknames since she truly loves them, so if you happen to have one please don’t mind giving it to me as long as it is within proper boundaries and does not hurt the feelings of anything.
Address her with Feminine pronouns and obviously already reached her legal age {perhaps any of you are wondering!} born and raised three birthday charts; cancer moon, cancer sun, and aries rising. If we talk about the MBTI she is owning the INFJ one from the latest test she put up with.
“Please put some particular attention to baking the ingredients!”
𝙸𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗: ⸝⸝ 🦴🍳 𓂅

champions x lynel reader hcs
Tumblr media
requested by: anonymous
“Hello there!
Would you ever do (any Zelda character you right for) x a fem lynel champion reader? I’m not picky so it could be about anything and be platonic or romantic. Sorry if this isn’t what you do! :)”
i hope this is what you were hoping for! i couldn’t pick any specific character so i wrote headcanons for each champion + link and zelda.
anon also requested for a fem!reader, though i don’t specify any pronouns or gender (i think) so feel free to imagine whatever you want! this was completely on accident though so i didn’t mean to purposely ignore your request lmao. i did, however, find this female lynel reference on reddit and thought it was the coolest thing ever so i thought i’d share.
warnings: none! please let me know if i need to add any.
gn!reader, platonic, 1.7k words, not proofread
---
link
link thinks you’re the coolest thing ever
i mean lynels aren’t exactly friendly. you literally assisting the champions as one yourself is pretty telling of your character
you and link share a pretty strong friendship once you get yourself settled among the other champions.  you two just clicked instantly
one way you two bond is by just sparring with each other. at the end of a training session or even full day you can sometimes see link lingering around wherever you’re at without any obvious reason and only you know it’s because he wants to fight
you two don’t go the full extent, obviously not trying to kill one another, but you definitely don’t go easy.
the size comparison between you two is drastic, so sometimes you end up leaving a few bruises on the tiny man without trying to, leaving you feeling guilty
he doesn’t care tho. having done his job as long as he has he’s pretty pain-tolerant
neither of you have spoken a word to each other. you’re a lynel and don’t speak, and link is just stoic and doesn’t either.
regardless, the bond you two share is impressively strong
the most you’ve ever heard link “say” weren’t words at all, they were just his airy laughs as you two battled
that one time he takes down like 3 lynels at once during an attack though he doesn’t tell you
he doesn’t wanna traumatize you lmao
zelda
“fascinating…”
zelda had uttered that word for probably the 4th time in a 30-second span since approaching you, previously just resting somewhere in hyrule field
her knight trailed behind her, looking ready to attack in case you did anything, which you didn’t plan to
zelda had opened her mouth several times since the encounter as if to ask you questions, but opted not to upon realizing you wouldn’t be able to answer them
when you seemed to react to her words, however, she felt more encouraged, deciding on asking yes or no questions instead
she learned that you were indeed a lynel, but you were generally non-hostile for the most part, the reason being you raised yourself so close to that castle that you observed them to be non-threatening to you and therefore came to respect them as the land’s leaders
you could still hunt for food if you wished, a majority of the land still left to the wild for you to explore, so as long as you weren’t being attacked by any knights (which didn’t usually happen because they were scared of you if they ever found you) you didn’t care to attack anyone who got too close.
that being said, you could almost see the lightbulb above zelda’s head light up after a while, soon going on a grand spiel about the champions
with some convincing, you agreed to become one
while you and zelda aren’t super close friends, you two do respect each other a whole lot
you sometimes insist on going on her travels with her, not sure if link’s protection will be enough in case of an attack or emergency
also because of other lynels. most other lynels are unaware of the lack of hostility hylians bear, so in case they came across one during their travels, you could at least keep it back or fight it if needed
zelda became very worried at one point that you were feeling left out as a champion, not having a divine beast to control, until link suggested that maybe you could just rally up a bunch of lynels in a time of crisis if possible
you agreed, thinking it might be possible if you made routine trips around hyrule to recruit lynels as you found them
she was still worried though. you can tell she really cared about your inclusion by making sure she had tasks to give to you, which you came to appreciate
overall, although you two weren’t super close, there was still evident respect and care between the two of you and you’ve come to appreciate the new change in your life
mipha
mipha was quite unsure about a lynel becoming a champion, questioning your loyalty and motives, but kept it all mostly to herself
the first time zelda insisted you were safe, she didn’t question it again out loud, though was still unsure internally
once you proved you really could be trusted, you two ended up forming quite an unlikely friendship!
she becomes quite comfortable around you, so much so that she’ll open up about her feelings for link
you’re a really good listener and she loves that you don’t seem to judge her for what she talks to you about
you two don’t hang out often, but when you do, it’s very calming
she would love to show you around zora’s domain as she is quite proud of where she comes from, but unfortunately, you’re much too large to navigate the narrow halls (albeit not as large as her father, but for the most part, he just sits in the throne room)
but also you might just frighten the other zoras who are unaware of your loyalty to the kingdom of hyrule, and by extension, their people as well
overall, mipha just thinks you’re neat and a great friend
revali
this man does NOT like you
he is constantly questioning whether or not you’re going to turn on them at any given moment, which frustrates you, but ultimately you don’t react in order to remain professional
he would never admit it to ANYONE, and i mean NEVER, but his opposition to you is probably because he’s a little scared of you lmao
of course he thinks that if you two ever got into a fight that he would have an advantage because of his ability to fly, but to be honest, he is intimidated by the fact that your skills in archery rival his
there’s a good chance you’re just plain better than him and he does not want to admit it, and if not, he’s going to take every opportunity possible to talk about it
he mostly does this to reassure himself that he’s still good enough to be a champion
seeing you get along with link so well frustrates him. once again, he’d never admit it, but he’s horribly insecure about his skills and sometimes his relationship with the others
that being said, the way he treats you hardly changes LMAOOO
there is a begrudging increase in respect, but it’s hardly noticeable, and you wrote him off a while ago
your relationship is strictly professional, though perhaps in some alternate universe you and he could get along better
had he been a little kinder to you, you would’ve loved to challenge him to a friendly archery battle
and if he were a little better with managing his emotions and actions, he would’ve loved to accept such a challenge
(side note: i would love it if someone requested for revali sometime omg i love this stupid bird)
daruk
this man is your #1 SUPPORTER
like link, he thinks you are the coolest thing he’s ever laid eyes on
he is CONSTANTLY asking you to train with him or share a classic goron meal with him
you’re not much for eating rocks, but you do accompany him on his training sessions at least
he is super verbal about how he feels about you, constantly spewing words of encouragement or plain awe whenever you do anything
you find it endearing and it’s a nice change of attitude
the atmosphere can be quite serious and the tension quite high regarding your work and the rising threat of the calamity, so having someone as positive as he is is quite refreshing
being quite strong yourself, you’re able to carry daruk on your back and charge short distances before he jumps off and slams himself/his weapon into the ground
(it’s his favorite move; it stuns everything within a 30-40 ft radius [9-12 meters])
unfortunately, you’re not as cool as link for not being able to stomach his goron prime rock roast. you’re very carnivorous and the rocks don’t digest well anyway
how link did it? you have absolutely no clue, that man is wild
when daruk first met you he had no questions or complaints. just greeted you, gave you a big ol’ pat on the side, and welcomed you to the “family”
daruk is a lot smarter than most people think he is and offers you a lot of valuable combat advice
although you don’t necessarily need it, being one hell of a fighter yourself, you always make sure to remember his advice since he only means the best
all in all daruk is one of your best buds and you appreciate each other a whole lot
urbosa
urbosa was a little skeptical of you at first, but she kept it to herself from the very beginning.
she welcomed you when zelda first introduced you to everyone but kept a close eye on you whenever you were all together
as for when she was back at home learning the divine beast controls, there wasn’t much she could do
with her fury, however, she was confident that in case something DID happen, she could take care of you immediately
that time, however, never came, and she was relieved to find soon enough that you were indeed as trustworthy as zelda said you were
urbosa is nothing but a kind and wise figure to you. out of everyone else, you probably come to respect her the most
she carries herself with such grace and dignity that she seems almost too eloquent to be a champion, yet any doubt is washed away as soon as she starts fighting
urbosa fights with such a controlled yet furious badass-ery that it leaves you in awe
and she notices. lol
she doesn’t say it, but she’s proud that the ferocious lynel seems to look up to her, and she’s aways open to sharing her wisdom with you
urbosa is more like a mentor to you than she is a friend, although to say you two weren’t friends would be false
you two compliment each other very well, though not as well as you and link or you and daruk
your friendship is less personal than that, but not as strictly professional like yours and revali’s
overall you two make quite the scary combo

how do Gorons' gender ties to your genderqueer Link headcanons?
Right! Oh, I have Thoughts about this.
Like that Goron meta stated, I believe that the Gorons are, by nature, agender. Hylians see them as male, and as such they're referred to with male pronouns in Hylian; in contrast, the Gerudo see them as female (and I believe this would also be reflected in the Gerudo language if we saw more of it). This is why Gorons are allowed in Gerudo Town.
As for the Gorons themselves, they don't mind either interpretation, but neither is exactly true. I imagine the Goron language is gender-neutral in structure, and when we hear them using terms like brother, it's merely a Hylian translation of an originally neutral concept (sibling/close friend/person I trust implicitly).
So how does that tie into Link?
(Obligatory disclaimer: the following is all my personal headcanon. Your headcanon may not match mine, and that's perfectly okay!)
In the BoTW memories, we see a Link who led an extremely regimented life, and suffered from that enough to develop some pretty bad anxiety. So any inclinations of genderqueerness would go completely unnoticed. He wouldn't even think to consider the option.
But then you get to BoTW proper, and (depending on your playstyle) he very quickly starts to deviate from the path set out for him. Oh yes, he will help the people of Hyrule. He will face Ganon eventually. But in the meantime, he's also going to climb every mountain he sees and probably fight Lynels while riding a bear or something. On fire.
So when Link goes to Gerudo and has to wear the vai outfit, that's... probably a lot more comfortable than anticipated. But y'know, it's just a nice outfit. Doesn't necessarily mean anything. And if it becomes harder and harder to deal with the idea that the Gerudo wouldn't welcome the 'voe' he really is... Well, that's just because no one likes lying to their friends, right?
(on a sidenote, I am forever salty that you cannot upgrade the vai set. Make it happen, botw2.)
Because it's not like he feels unhappy as a man! It's just that... well, being seen as a woman is nice too.
But again, this is a Link who lived the majority of his life in a very strict environment. For a long time, he had no idea that it was possible to be anything else than what people expected him to be, and he's only now learning that.
So here's where the Gorons come in. Because having people who don't fit anywhere within that male-female binary, is a new concept. It's a revelation. You don't have to choose. You can be male, and female, or something else entirely, or nothing at all.
And that's something that would be so important to BoTW!Link. This ability to choose, the option to be whoever he wants to be, unconstrained by any notions that were prescribed to him in the past... Throughout the game, he's learning who is was, and more importantly who he wants to be, and I believe having the Gorons around would help immensely with that.

Whumptober Prompt 5: Hypothermia
Part of my Golden Priestesses AU, though all you need to know is that the Zelda here is Gerudo and she doesn’t have any associations with the royal family, and Link goes by they/them pronouns and is half Zonai.
Warnings: Brief discussions of momentary nudity
wc: 2743
AO3 Link
The journey up Mount Lanayru wasn’t Link’s version of fun. Even with a dozen layers between their skin and the constantly falling snow, the fact that they weren’t allowed to have any heating potions and that they were used to the sweltering humidity and heat of Faron, the hike up the spiraling stairs up a freezing mountain were pretty agonizing.
Link was still shivering even under three cloaks, one wool, one silk, and one that was mostly just Lynel pelts, it’s golden color made their status obvious. Though it wasn’t out of the ordinary for a Zonai to be covered in cloaks to protect their light sensitive skin, Link found themself uncomfortable with the constant weight on their back and lack of flexibility. They were definitely used to lighter clothes that didn’t cling to their skin.
At least Zelda was by their side, their fellow priestess was used to the frigid temperatures, even then, she still wore a massive cloak lined with white wolves fur. Though she towered above them, she kept her strides nice and short so they wouldn’t be jogging to keep up with her. She could probably take four steps of stone stairs at a time if she wanted to, and Link was very thankful that she didn’t.
“I’m still willing to carry you, you know.” Zelda said with a playful smirk as Link carefully avoided a patch of ice.
“As I said before, not in front of the attendants. We do not need any more rumors circulating around.” Their cheeks were flushed, but they couldn’t completely blame it on the cold.
“I think we should encourage rumors, it can get boring up here, it’ll be a service if anything interesting were to happen.” She teased, Link caught themself looking at her smile for a little too long. They whipped their head away, to focus on the road instead.
“I’m sure they’ll find something to talk about. Maybe I’ll trip into the spring or something. Or another fox will wander in and climb the goddess statue.” They suggested, admiring the pillars of ice and stone rather than looking at their companion. They’d have to crane their neck pretty far up anyway.
“It may be expected for animals to gather around the statue of Farore but it’s considered disrespectful for my goddess.” She commented, brushing some bright scarlet hair from blowing in her face, she must’ve missed a few pieces when preparing herself that morning. How inconvenient.
“I’m sure she would think differently if it was an owl.”
“As a matter of fact, she does. There’s a nest of them too high for anyone to get to, some of the lower priestesses believe she speaks through them, so if they happen to hoot while someone is talking, they assume Nayru just wanted to butt in with her opinion.” The image caused Link to snort out a laugh.
“Oh fair prophet, you cannot understand the words of your goddesses sacred birds, how disappointing. I heard Impa can talk to pigs.”
“Din’s sacred animal is a boar, not a pig. That’s like calling your dragon a lizard.” The priestess of Nayru raised her eyebrows and motioned towards the currently covered tattoos on Link’s arm, a long dragon spiraled up in shifting greens and teals and gold.
“They belong to the same family. Do you think it would be sacrilege if the Priestess of Din eats pork? Or if the Queen eats poultry?”
“It’s not sacrilege for you to drink potions made with reptiles.” Zelda pointed out.
“It might be! I haven’t read the rulebook in a while.” Link claimed.
Their hike up the mountain lasted like that for hours, the priestess of Farore slowly feeling the chill seep through their cloaks. When they got to the top it wouldn’t matter though, so they wouldn’t even think to complain about it.
Shortly before Links legs threatened to fall off, they reached the Spring of Wisdom. The structure around it contained dozens of stained glass images that showered the marble floors with vibrant colors. Torches and a firepit were prepared, keeping the building a more reasonable heat, but the spring would still be just as mind-numbingly cold. Though that was the point.
Link was assisted out of their almost comical amount of cloaks, each layer removed sent a new wave of chilly air through their body. It took all their willpower not to shiver visibly. Eventually they were left in their ceremonial garb, an outfit more suited for their own spring in the middle of a tropical jungle. It contained a sash that only fully covered their shadow marks on their untattooed arm. It was the skin all Zonai had that was particularly sensitive to light, it wrapped around their arm like a dainty sleeve with smokey edges that swirled like a whirlwind up to their bicep.
Most of their skin was bare, there was no protection for their feet or hands, only extra wrappings covering their shadow marks. It wouldn’t help keep them warm though. The cold was a trial, not unlike the monsters hiding in the chambers of the Temple of Courage or the guardians around the Temple of Power. Nayru wanted to test their endurace, their dedication.
This spring was the most exclusive, while youth were allowed to pray in the others, the Spring of Wisdom was the most dangerous of them all, for Wisdom was the most dangerous weapon to have. Those who wished to take their pilgrimage there had to prove to the priestess that they understood their choice. That they contained the wisdom to not succumb to the allure of knowledge or to the pain of the cold.
Zelda worried that Link would be too stubborn to give up, to leave when their body hit it’s limit, not because they desired knowledge, but because that was an effect of their own relentless courage. She was afraid that they would die if someone convinced them it would help even a single person.
The priestess of Farore took a breath of icy air before taking their first step into the spring. They managed to resist flinching back but they knew that now they were wet, it would feel even colder. So step by step, they continued into the center of the spring. Their light skirt floating to the surface and fanning out like frost forming on glass.
Slowly, they knelt. The water rising up from their hips to their chest, making their lungs spasm and quiver against the stinging chill. Their jaw was stubbornly clenched shut to keep from chattering and their hands were clasped together to start their prayer. They only hoped they would grow used to the temperature, because they definitely had a long way to go.
After one last shaking breath, Link started their first prayer to Nayru, a song that echoed throughout the silent temple. The acoustics of the structure allowing it to sound like they were harmonizing with themself, carrying a note for several seconds before it was allowed to die out.
Once the first verse was finished, Link closed their eyes and succumbed to the darkness and the resonating sounds. The ancient language on their tongue was far from foreign, but they were sure a goddess would be able to pick apart their accent. Many of the sounds weren’t natural for them to make, but with years of practice, it got much easier.
Hours had gone by, their voice wavered and got quieter as time passed. Eventually turning into a melodic hum as ther throat grew tight and rough. As the cold made their skin and bones completely numb, they knelt like a statue, mildly afraid that if they even tried to stand they would immediately stumble and fall.
Singing turned into humming which turned into no noise at all, only the fact that they were still upright hinted Zelda to the fact that they were still awake and deep in prayer. The moment they first stopped making noise, Zelda had to resist the urge to run in and check if they were okay. They had already lasted far longer than most, even she wasn’t allowed to watch them very long, it was customary that prayer was a private affair between the worshipper and the goddess they prayed to. At least in most springs it was.
Zelda guarded her friend, looking back and checking on them much more frequently than was likely necessary. Sure, she knew that if they passed out, she would hear the splash of the water, she would hear the water lap against the stone if they moved enough to stand up. She already had several heating potions that gradually increased in strength and several dry blankets soaking up the heat of the fire pit. She knew how to be prepared for a dedicated pilgrim, so many collapsed from the cold long before now. She wondered if Link was just too frozen in place to call for help.
Her fears were both dispelled and confirmed when she heard a sudden crash of something into the water, the broken silence made her jerk towards the spring, only to see her colleague completely engulfed in ice water. She sprang into action, ignoring the jolt of electricity that passed through her body as she ran into the spring.
Her heart jolted when she saw the unnatural tone to their skin and their closed eyes. She scooped their freezing body from the water and dreaded how cold and stiff they had gotten. She knew she should’ve intervened sooner…
Despite how cold they were, Zelda clung to Link, hoping to transfer some of her natural heat to them, but she knew it would be hard when he was wet and in sopping clothes. She would have to remove them. She tried her best to not be enticed by the idea, it was a medical necessity, not an excuse to objectify them. This had never really been a problem before, she’s had to fish so many travelers out, to keep their clothes from freezing them solid, it had never really phased her like it did with Link.
She managed to unclothe them without staring too much, though she was mortal and she had to shake her head out of it’s momentary stupor a second after removing the garments on their chest. In no time they were swadled in blankets and sitting near the fire, she just had to wait for them to wake up again before giving them the first elixir.
Zelda had decided that the best way to warm them up would be with her assistance so she carefully sat them pressed against each other, her using her superior size to her advantage and completely enveloping their body with hers, pressing her legs against theirs and biting her tongue a little when their stone cold skin touched hers. She wrapped her arms around them and made sure that their wet hair wasn’t touching their back. Her fur cloak covered them both well enough to keep the heat contained.
There were minutes where she could only hear her own racing heart beat. Was their condition worse than she thought? Would she have to rush him to the fairy fountain near Karariko? Would she have to find a healer? Would she be fast enough if she began her journey now? She furiously rubbed heat into Links limbs, clasping her warm hands around one of theirs at a time, it was the first time she realized that the skin of their shadow marks felt different than their Hylian colored skin. It was rough and strangely sturdy but still flexible.
A few terrifying minutes after Zelda had started to warm them up, Link made their first noise in hours. A tiny groan. She might’ve missed it if the temple were less silent. She paused her completely selfless cuddling to grab the weakest heating elixir from it’s place at her side. It warmed the glass like some tea that had been sitting out for a few minutes, warm, but nowhere near scalding.
“Open up pipsqeak, we have to warm you up from the inside too.” Zelda said softly, tilting their chin back to administer the potion. At this point, their eyes were open and obviously dazed, still, they seemed like they were trying to resist shivering.
They swallowed the potion without resistance and instantly seemed to be getting better, their cheeks were pink rather than being unnaturally pale and their shivering seemed to come back, at least to the extent of being uncontrollable. Zelda automatically went back to holding them close as soon as the empty glass bottle was placed safely on the ground.
“Am I… am I naked?” They asked between stuttering breaths. Of course that would be the first thing they were worried about…
“I’m not just going to leave you in wet clothes while you’re suffering from hypothermia Link.” She deadpanned.
“Did you…” Their weak voice trailed off and Zelda had a feeling that the pink on their cheeks wasn’t just them recovering their body heat.
“Yes I did. It was medically necessary.” She didn’t want the fact that she had seen their body without their permission be a point of embarrassment, she just had to act professional and detached about it.
“Consider yourself lucky, not everyone gets the sacred honor to gaze upon-” Link announced deliriously, loud enough that there was no way that some temple attendants could be oblivious to it.
“You can go back to sleep now.” She interrupted. “I can wake you up when you’re ready for the next elixir.”
“Maybe next time you see me like that I won’t be almost dying.” Link suggested with a smirk that was less seductive and more silly.
“I thought you didn’t want any rumors about us.”
“You were right, it does get a little boring up here.” Link shrugged a little, or as much as they could in Zelda’s tight embrace.
The next time Link woke up, they were much more coherent and somber. After their second dose of spicy elixir, she got to find out why. The juxtaposition of their waking state this time compared to the first was more than unsettling, it was hard to believe it was the same person in her arms.
“She showed me something in there.” Their voice was much quieter than before. “I think I saw the future.” This wasn’t too uncommon, many people saw flashes of things that have yet to happen, oftentimes they were inconsequential or confusing and easily forgotten. But Link looked troubled, and She had a feeling that they got more than just a useless image for their hours of prayer.
“What did you see?” She prompted.
“The fall of Hyrule. I think I saw myself dying.” They said, unsettlingly vaguely before continuing, “It wasn’t me though… not really. The princess was there, but not the little girl we know… but I still knew who she was. It was… It was those sheikah machines. Something was controlling them. They were taking down Hylian soldiers like they were ants. We were trying to run but we had no choice but to fight them. She begged me to run but I couldn’t leave her alone. She tried to save me, she had the complete triforce. I think it was too late. I think I died there.”
“That’s certainly troubling, but that doesn’t seem to occur during your lifetime, it could be hundreds or thousands of years away.” Zelda reasoned, “It’s no use to worry about it now, even if it could be changed.”
Link stayed silent, replaying the images in their mind, it had been many generations since the fall of the calamity, there weren’t many that were old enough to have lived through it, but Link knew the tales. It was clear to them now. The calamity would return someday. It could be decades or centuries or millennia, but one thing was certain, this time, they were going to fail.
They had a feeling that they wouldn’t be able to see Impa’s spider-y army the same way ever again. Especially the single red eye, aiming right at their heart.
Then again, though they had been looking through the eyes of Link, they had a feeling that it may not of been them. That Link held the master sword, the very sword that their brother was hiding, the heroes sword. Perhaps it wasn’t them who they saw dying, but Ravio. For some reason, that was so much worse.

Be wary of gods, pup, her grandfather would whisper. The Flame of Creation is still a flame. And a flame, no matter how little, can swallow all the world alive.
Content: adoption, social services existing, your roommate eating all the food in the fridge, local grandpa and its half second of pretty privilege, nonbinary adults and ungendered children, references to fictional languages, mention of fictional disability, the slapstickification of kibble maravilla-ravenslove

Her name is Meatball.
Mea for short.
(Meat for medium.)
In Mea’s defense, traditional wulver names are just kind of like that.
But the important part of this isn’t her name, no matter how much everyone else back at the office likes to joke about it. The important part is that this time it’s her turn to take on the Ravenslove case.
Not that there’s nothing wrong with Ravenslove Tower. Fadir Ravenslove is, according to everyone who’s had the misfortune of dealing with it, a really sweet guy. It’s just that when dealing with a guy who has medicated C-PTS, who also happens to be a literal verified god, there’s always something going on. And yes, Fadir is a god. The Office doesn’t need a slip of paper, or lack thereof, to know about that. Every diviner this side of the motem network has been talking about their guide, and the Office makes it their business to know things.
There’s not a lot of gods on the record. Mx. Ravenslove is mostly just on there because it needed C-PTS meds and took an Anglos language course some decades back. The Office’s policy is to leave it to its own devices and just check in every once in a while. Except this time, the new status quo involves a child. Because at this point, that may as well happen.
It may as well.
Getting to Ravenslove Tower is a whole other beast. The last country road cutting out of Slovenguard, a few routes off the Snake Alley train line, and the only thing people seem to agree on direction-wise is “walk towards the forest, it’s impossible to miss.”
And boy, was it ever. If the willowy purples of the wisteria tree at its side weren’t enough to stick out like a sore thumb, the tree-like ambitions of the house itself were a jagged splinter on the forest’s edge, roof shingles sporadically weathered like a sunset out of time from the humble duty of shielding rain and snow away from those aspen pale walls.
The interior’s a little dated, but that’s to be expected of a house built in the 1940s and a head of house who doesn’t feel like keeping up with the times. Fadir seems perfectly content to pump water into a teapot after transferring some chicken rice out of a wok and into a pair of bowls- one of which is for Mea. The little god quickly walks off with the teapot before she can protest otherwise. It even used those holdable bowls so Mea could eat the wulver way, without any utensils. (Cheater.)
As for their part, Lynel- Ravenslove name pending- watches Mea suspiciously past their spoonfuls of food. They’re a brown-skinned kid with green eyes, brown hair, and freckles. They look and smell very stressed. Their handshake is strong, but it shakes with hunger, even as they stuff their mouth with candied nuts like there’s no tomorrow. A bad sign for their previous situation, but a point in favor of the new one- Fadir clearly left the extra food out knowing Lynel would take it, and Lynel feels safe enough to indulge.
Their answers to Mea’s questions, on the other hand, are clipped- almost irritated. Yes, they understand why they’re here. Yes, they understand they can leave the house at any time. Yes, they know where they are and how to use local transport.
Do they want to be here?
…Anything’s better than going back to Mother.
Mea lets Lynel go back to do whatever they want in the house while she goes to find Fadir outside. She knows an emotional landmine when she sees one. That’s a job for a therapist, not a high-strung civic worker.
The tengu- the god- the raven… thing- the raventhing is lounging by that porch built under the house. Two bell-collared allays tenderly eat biscuits off a plate while a spoon swirls idly in a steaming mug, a dollop of some brothy paste freshly gouged out of a box. The dragon turtle teapot on the table barely inclines its clay head towards Mea as she approaches, and Fadir’s eyes turn to her as she takes a tentative seat.
Be wary of gods, pup, her grandfather would whisper. The Flame of Creation is still a flame. And a flame, no matter how little, can swallow all the world alive.
A loud sneeze flies out of Mea’s snout. Nervousness is unprofessional. A god is still a god, but a case is still a case, and Ravenslove is no different than any other person daring to ask if they could foster a child.
“So!” Mea loudly straightens her files against the tea table. “First things first. I can look for human GPs to set Lynel up with, and I am going to put them down for a referral to a therapist. That’s non-negotiable.”
Fadir furrows its brows slightly. “Therapist y’ said cannot, le.”
“The last caseworker told you that?” Mea guesses. At Fadir’s nod, Mea goes back to the tengu’s file. “The therapists that worked on your case said counseling wasn’t necessary for your situation, but for Lynel- well-” Mea’s words halt for a moment, head tilted as she considers an entirely new thought. “Sorry, quick question, have you… had children before?”
Fadir’s eyes squint as it rolls the fingers on one of its hands, counting to itself.
And it keeps counting.
And it keeps counting.
“Six-ty,” Fadir finally says. “Three.”
Mea stares at Fadir in shock.
“Raven children le,” Fadir elaborates. “One of ‘em is a dragon, if that makes it better.”
(This did not, in fact, make it better.)
“This is normal,” Fadir insists with a slight laugh. “I am so old!”
“Well, for people-” Mea pauses again. “-is that mean to say? People? I’m not saying your time as a raven was, like, less meaningful or anything-”
“Can, le,” Fadir gently interrupts, an unreadable smile on its face. “I understand. Things are simpler back then. Is not the same.”
Oh, great! Mea’s not being accidentally racist! Raven racist. Ravenist, if you will. (She should probably get back to saying words.)
“For… people- for children,” Mea amends, “adoption is kind of a traumatic experience. Y’know what I mean?”
Fadir raises its eyebrows. “More than havin’ no one to take care of ‘em?”
Mea makes an uneasy motion with her paw. “It’s kind of a lose-lose thing for the kid. Having new parents is a reminder that your old ones can’t, or don’t want to, take care of you any more. It’s easier for younger kids sometimes, when they aren’t old enough to remember their original parents, but it’s always harder for the older ones. And it gets harder the older they have to be adopted.”
Fadir’s eyes flick to the upstairs area of the house, fixed on some slowly moving point. Mea doesn’t need to be told that Fadir is seeing Lynel’s current state of affairs all too well.
“This isn’t an easier version of having a kid,” Mea stresses. “This isn’t a baby that you can raise however you want. Lynel already has their own thoughts, and feelings, and hurt about all this that you can’t change. It’s going to take a long, long time for Lynel love you as a parent, and you’ll have to live with the chance that they might never be able to do that.”
Fadir sighs. “I don’t need that. I-” It lets out a huffing noise. “I really don’t. I lived out a whole life o’ that. If Lynel doesn’t love me, that’s- that’s fine. Really is.” It shrugs, wings rolling forward with the motion. “But I reckon they still need somebody t’ love ‘em anyways. May as well try.”
“It doesn’t have to be you,” Mea reminds it. “Lynel was never supposed to be your responsibility in the first place. There’s nothing wrong with putting them into foster care and letting someone else take care of them down the line.”
“I know.” Fadir taps the talons of its hands together. “But it’s not so bad, le. If I can be that kind of someone else, too. Be-cause…”
Fadir trails off. This little porch is right under the house, sheltered from the light of day. But the lantern flame, cast on Fadir’s golden shirt, scatters soft tones across the red bracelet at its wrist, the jade on its neck, the candlelight gleam of its eyes out of that uncanny shadow.
It blinks. The spell, whether real or imagined, is gone.
“Because,” the raven says again, just a touch too late. “It’s not so bad, is it?” Fadir tilts its head. “I don’t think it is.”
Mea sighs.
“You’ll be seeing me once a month,” she decides. Fadir’s eyes brighten, and Mea raises a paw in warning. “I’m not saying you’ll be perfect. I’m not even saying you’ll be good. But you’re still right. We can use a few more somebodies out here for these kids. We need people to try. I-”
Mea’s ears perk, turning towards a sudden noise. Catching the motion, Fadir’s head sharply tilts before it picks up one of Lynel’s sandals and chucks it at the drainpipe.
The sandal crashes against the frail copper with a loud, resounding gong. Something rattles down the pipe, heralded by a chorus of pitiful squeaks, before a small sandy imp bursts out and splats on the ground.
A cowboy hat gracefully drifts out of the pipe to float down on their head.
(This would be Kibble, then.)
“Och.” Fadir bats at Kibble’s head. “D’ya always have t’ sneak around in the walls? We have guests.”
Kibble sneezes loudly.
Fadir squints. “You’ve done somethin’.”
Kibble stares at Fadir for a long moment, and then starts skittering away on white boots.
“Aiyo-” Fadir slaps its knee and stands up forcefully. “Y’ ab-so-lutely have, le! I open the cabinet an’ all the cold cuts will be gone!” Its eye twitches. “Y’ ate all the ham in the icebox, and y’ said you wouldn’t!”
“¿Y qué eres?” Kibble hisses. “¿Un pinche propietario?”
Fadir stares at Kibble in shock for a moment, and then it laughs. It laughs in a way ravens were never meant to laugh- a forceful, unnatural sound. But it smiles with that odd glow caught in its mirthful eyes, and it looks like the sun in miniature, if only for a moment.
(Good. Lynel could stand to be around something bright for once.)

Have a headcannon dump of a LU!centaur Au that’s been cycling in my brain for a week, I’m quite possibly going to write a fic/do more art,
You’re free to leave ideas or suggestions for this Au as well
(Wild doodle to go with at the end)
•–•Au Basics:
-this is heavily based off the @linkeduniverse Au by @jojo56830
Basically it’s the same but every character (even side characters but they’re not important) are Centaurian, this is finicky and involves things like Cervitaurs, mermaids and whatnot,
This is hevily based on living conditions and most races are born with natural legs, ie; hylians are born with two hylian legs, and their secondary legs will grow in around the age of four depending on the food and lifestyle they’ve had until then, the secondary traits are usually set in by the age of six where they will no longer have their original legs.
—-
Now the headcannons (this is just the links cause idk much about the Zelda’s so I have to do more research)
—-
•–Time•
- The old man is a Stag, no I will not take criticism on this
Time started off his journey a young deer cervitaur, barely grown into his fawn limbs before coming into contact with Fi,
Deer are often seen as prey animals and weak, but we all know Time is seen as the leader for a reason,
My man got mad strong horns and has kicked, impaled and stomped on more Moblins then any sane person should, while deers are often seen as weak you would have to be blind, deaf, three years old and an idiot to think Time any less then the powerful stag that would lay his life down for his family
-
•–Sky•
-Loftwing… kind of a no brainer for this one
Oh yeah, our sleepy king has butt wings and you can’t stop me,
Sky was literally found in a Loftwing nest and the majority of Skyloft secretly think he’s a Hylian Centaur instead of the other way around,
Learning to fly was the literal worst, his wings took a few more years to fully develop so he got to flying later then most, the fact that his wings sit at an awkward place on the base between his hylian torso and his Skywing back doesn’t help that fact
Yes he’s still perfected the art of flying while asleep, not even other Loftwing hybrids know how he does it
-
•–Twilight •
-He’s… hes a Wolf… it’s… it’s twilight… literally what else would he be?
He was actually a wolf hybrid before his adventure started and is honestly not sure how it took so long for the chain to even start to theorise his connections with Wolfie,
Wind guessed they were long lost brothers,
Fun fact, Twi is allergic to fur, it took him embracingly long to realise, ‘Oh, I thought the air was just meant to hurt’
Legend likes to call him a husky and watch as Twi goes on a rant about how they are completely different, this went on for months before time brought a stop to it
-
•-Legend•
-Pegasus… is this because I love the Pegasus boots? You’ll never know
The only reason sky knows how to preen his wings is because legend literally sat on him one day and showed him
In the ‘Not quite horse centaurs’ club with Wild
His tail was unfortunately docked in his third adventure, Wind used his ‘ Customary Pirate Rope tying skills’ to fashion him a fake tail out of foe hair (yes it’s pink) and braided him a new tail,
Legend won’t admit but that was the day he started trusting the rest of the chain
Likes to cuff Wars over the head with his wings, he quickly found out Wars’ wings hurt a lot more to get hit by then his
-
•–Warriors•
-DragonDragonDRAGONDRA-
His scales are literally brighter then the chains future (admittedly not hard to be)
Learned the hard way that his claws are sharp and for completely non related reasons has a wooden backscratcher he won’t tell anyone about
Runs hotter then the others Links, thus why he always wears his scarf, Legend jokes he’s as cold blooded as his blood,
legend regrets.
Has an unhealthy obsession with shiny things, his time in the army has helped him restrain from stealing freshly polished swords and amour but four swears they had a freshly cleaned dagger right next to them and now it’s gone-
-
•–Four•
-Minish?? More like biggish (that was bad I’ll see myself out-)
Still Has four legs like a mouse instead of the two that minish usually have, but has the fluffiest tail in existence
Actually wasn’t sure what Minish were before meeting them so was super confused for the first few years after developing
When Wind was confused on how to use their pronouns (they/them) correctly they told him to just picture four mice in a Trenchcoat (it helped Wind a lot)
Paints their claws/nails, each foot is one of the four colours, the blue nails are for some reason always somehow chipped, Warriors ends up lending them some of his nail Polish which is sturdier
-
•–Hyrule•
-obsessing over the idea that Rules’ Hyrule is basically Australia so Rule is a kangaroo
Kangaroos are evil deer, Rule is the exception
Kangaroos are terrifying and could be hit by a truck and walk it off, lest to say Time had a mini breakdown after watching Hyrule get punched into a tree by a Hinox, stand up, then carry on with his life without so much as a scratch
They still suck at cooking
If you say ‘shrimp on a campfire’ he will ring your throat until you meet Nayru face to face,
‘I may not know how to cook but I know they’re called prawns.’
-
•–Wind•
-Salt water croc for my salty pirate
Changed from lobster because I personally hate lobsters
Has claws and knows how to use them, preferably on the back of legend’s legs but has learned hooves hurt to take to the face
Has 3rd eyelid to be able to see underwater, so he likes to sleep like that sometimes and creep out whoever is on watch
Wild has attempted to eat him at least twice, both times Twi had to stop the because Wind was also curious
Sky only has two legs? Boo loser, Wind has 4 and a big tail that could snap your spine (it took wind several years to learn how not to trip over and he still can’t walk for long periods of time)
-
•–Wild-
-Lynel… Time is not surprised
In the ‘Not quite horse centaurs’ club with Legend
Honestly thought he was a horse until Flora mentioned ‘no Link, horse’s don’t grow horns out of their head’
Isn’t sure if he’s a gold Lynel or just blond (they’re just blond)
Also has a hint of orange in his blue eyes, eyes that glow red on bloodmoons
Unlike their hair they actually like to style their tail a lot, went they went to Gerudo town he was taught how to braid and bun it but can’t do it on his own so let’s Wind do it when he’s bored
Has small horns that Time had to teach him how to take care of, cause who knew horns need maintenance
Literally no one knows how his glider is able to hold him up… or how he climbs literally anything with ease even with his equestrian limbs
Was also one of the first to use Four’s pronouns correctly as they themselves use all pronouns (likes he/they the most tho)
—- Quick sketch of Wild cause I love them with all my heart
Tumblr media
Anyway, it’s just a poorly thought out Au and I’ll probably work on it more but have this info dump for a second as I try to figure out what I’m doing with my life,
If y’all have any suggestions have at it,
I just hope my ideas aren’t as jumbled as I think they are

Hihi!!! I saw you wanted asks so here you go!
I have some questions related to LU and BOTW
AND YOU DONT NEED TO ANSWER IF YOU DONT WANT TO
----
LU:
1. Out of the entire chain, who would you be the most afraid of meeting? If you want, can you say why?
2. Who has the best fashion sense?
3. Who knows all the secrets?
4. Who is your abseloute favorite? Why?
5. What are your thoughts on everybody's pronouns/sexualities?
-----
BotW:
1. What is your favorite place in-game? Do you have a least favorite?
2. Which dragon do you prefer, Farosh (lightning), Naydra (ice), or Dinrall (fire)?
3. Who's your favorite champion? Why? Who's your least favorite?
4. If you could be any of the in-game races, what would you be? If you want, why?
5. Which of the villages is your favorite?
6. Is there music that makes you really happy? Is there any that makes you really sad?
----
IM SORRY THIS IS SO LONG I JUST KINDA WENT CRAZY
AGAIN, IF YOU DONT WANT TO ANSWER A QUESTION, DON'T
Oh oh thank you <3
LU:
1) I'd be most nervous to meet any of em really? Mostly Twi n Time. I get intimidated easily even if people aren't threatening lmao
2) best fashion sense? Legend. Though,,, Twis fit is p nice with the pelt.
3) Twi because of Wolfie. Or sky
4) oh that's a hard one. Wilds my favourite because botw is the first Loz game I've placed. Sky because second game and he's just,,, soft. Twilight becuase,,,, twilight. So those three are the ones I'm torn about. Wars is making his way into the list though.
5) oh that's chaos. I mostly share the same ones as Ravi. But Wild uses all pronouns, Time doesn't care for pronouns, Legend is afab but bi n poly. Sky afab. Wars a he/they bi. Uh my brains stopped working now
Botw:
1) oooo I love the Lost Woods. The music is nice and the general atmosphere- especially on top of the deku tree. Least favourite is where you find the giant horse. There's two lynels. What the hell.
2) Naydra! The malice looked so cool but shooting it was horrible
3) favourite is Urbosa! Idk, she's pretty? Least would be,,, Revali.
4) oh oh I have to think... I'll reblog this when I think of one but I'd like to hear what you think I'd be lmao-
5) oh I love the Rito one! The view is nice. Plus it looks pretty cosy! But cold,,, Kakariko is nice too! Pretty views and just generally nice.
6) oh I adore the fairy fountain music! It's really relaxing. I don't really listen since I get distracted by everything
Thank you again <3

Some Headcanons for the Wild Child
[I’m busy as heck, so I’m just gonna queue up a bunch of headcanon posts.]
-Wild is reckless, but he knows his stuff. He can gage most of the time when to avoid a fight if it can be avoided. It’s most likely from all the Lynels he ran into back during his adventure. Who knew there was a silver-maned Lynel not that far from the Akkala Tech Lab?
-Wild is pretty much the only one in the group who can cook, or at least can cook more than one or two dishes. Any new recipes he learns from the other heroes he tries to keep in mind so he can make them again sometime. Eventually, he’ll get a notebook to keep them all in.
-As far as pronouns are concerned, Wild doesn’t really care. He’ll go by he/him, but doesn’t mind being referred to as they/them. The only time Wild really cares is when he’s wearing the Vai clothes, most likely because getting referred to as anything other than she/her would mean not being allowed in Gerudo Town.
-He has a set of weapons that he refuses to use under any and all circumstances. It’s the Champions weapons, and they are the most well taken care of weapons that he owns. They are hung up carefully at his house in Hateno, and he won’t let anyone use them for fighting. Call it whatever you want, he just doesn’t want to lose them along with the memories he regained of them.

Russell Zelda Verse Profile
I finally got around to it. I did Russell’s Zelda Verse profile. This is primarily for Breath of the Wild, and I cannot guarantee it will be spoiler free (but I will do my best), but it can be adapted to other Zelda timelines/games.
Name: Russell
Age: 25
Birthday: 9th October (or Hyrulean equivalent to that)
Gender: Cis Male (He/Him/His Pronouns)
Orientation: Homosexual
Species: Rito - His feather colouring, beak shape, and patterns are based on that of the White-Throated Falconet (which is also known as a Bornean Falconet). Some of his feathers are tied behind his head in a makeshift ponytail and there are a few orangey-blonde feathers on his crown.
Abilities: Flight, which is a standard skill for the bird-like Rito. However, he’s able to fly without making a single sound. He’s also pretty handy with a bow, but also carries around a small sword and shield for close combat encounters. He also seems to have some potion making knowledge.
Current Residence: Travels around Hyrule, but has a home in Rito Village which he says anyone is welcome to stay in while he isn’t there.
Mother: Cassandra (Deceased) - a Rito woman. His relationship with her was very strained. She was not a good woman, often treating him like dirt. The other Rito were thankfully very supportive towards him, trying to offset any damage she might have caused. She died of old age eight years after he officially left home at seventeen.
Father: Unknown. Cassandra deliberately withheld any information she might have had about him. It’s anyone’s guess to what he was, although there are some rumours that he was a Hylian, a Sheikah, or perhaps had heritage from both.
Height: 6′4″ (he is considered a bit on the shorter side for a Rito)
Weight: 146lbs
Feather Colours: White, black, and orangey yellow.
Eyes: Blue.
Languages: Hyrulean, a form of sign language, and some Gerudo.
Distinguishing Features: Part of his beak has been chipped off due to a nasty encounter with a Yiga Blademaster (said master was disguised as a wounded traveller needing help). He managed to defeat the Blademaster thankfully.
He also a severe limp in his left leg when he’s trying to walk. He was shot out of the sky by a Guardian’s laser and was unlucky enough to land near a Lynel. Said Lynel stomped on one of his legs when he saw him trying to get up with a bow in his hands.
Fortunately, before anything worse could happen, he was saved by what he calls a ‘an amazing Hylian swordsman’. He gave the Swordsman every rupee in his pouch (500 at the time) and some fireproof elixirs. However, he was left with the incurable limp.
He also has scar tissue on his back beneath his feathers from when he was shot by a Lynel’s shock arrow. This one he managed to fight and ultimately kill, presumably because it was old or already weakened by something else (he tries not to think about what that ‘something else’ possibly was.
He has a stammer, which is usually noticeable when he tries to say one syllable words, as he’ll get stuck repeating it a few times, or when he’s very nervous or embarrassed. He also has an awkward chuckle that also shows when he’s uncomfortable or feeling shy (which is often.)
He also has a very deep fear of the ocean.
Occupation: No set occupation, but he sells the elixirs that he makes, provides information on the things he has found, and helps out with things that need doing at the places he goes to (e.g. feeding animals at a stable, fixing stuff etc.)
Hobbies and Interests: Documenting monsters, plants, animals, and landmarks, playing on drums (he has a drum set back in Rito village), space, folk tales and legends, practising his archery ( ‘Let’s see if I can snipe this’ is a common phrase that he says to himself), books (he laments that there don’t seem to be many around anymore since the Calamity) and elixir making.
Personality: Quiet and shy, but also kind and loyal to anyone that he considers a friend. He can be helpful even to a fault, where he regularly risks his life to help or protect others, especially whoever he calls his friends. He’s skilled, yes, but he’s definitely not anywhere close to Link in regards to battle prowess.
If you get past his shell and get him onto a topic he loves, he will talk your ear off about it. Then he will apologise for talking your ear off about it.
He also tries to act cheery, but underneath it, he lacks self-worth and sees himself as a useless waste of space, which is why he’s willing to put his life on the line for others.
Backstory: He lived as an only child in Rito village. His mother pretty much didn’t want anything to do with him, and she wasn’t very good to him growing up. Thankfully, the other Rito in the village were good to him, and did their best to raise him with some love.
Despite Cassandra’s protests, he left Rito village at seventeen to go and travel, and to find out more about the world. He sent letters back, which she ignored. The only one she didn’t was when she found about his leg, to which he was informed that she simply said ‘serves him right’.
He refused to go back to the village until he was informed that she had passed away. He then went there, sorted out everything and then left again, telling the others that his house was free for anyone to stay in should they need it.
He still travels around now, still trying to work out what he really wants to do and how the future is going to go, and giving help, support, and/or elixirs to anyone who might need it.
