I mean I was wondering they never got to speak about the suffering Zeno went through in the two thousand years he lived or how difficult it must be for him to outlive everyone he meets and comes to care about...
So this chapter makes sense and reveals things and disguises. Zeno using "I" and switching to his childish Zeno speech, to show he has to work with disguises and self-deception to keep himself sane in face of all the people he lost...
How can he return the dragons without returning Hiryuu too though? How come he doesn't need Yona for his plan, when the dragons gather around her?
What logic does it make for the dragons to run out of their lifespans now, when Yona is young and in trouble and will need them the most? The first generation lived to their old age.
I loved Yona's and Hak's reaction, Hak panicking, Yona realizing Zeno lied and Still hugging him and wanting to find another way...but how can you fight an immortal dragon with none of the negatives and limits of the others? Zeno's dragon form will never run out its lifespan...and he can turn into a dragon at will?
Where did the chalice disappear to? We didn't hear about this kind of magic being possible yet.
Anyway, feels like Yona and Hak might have to regroup and work with Suwon for the next part.
The best outcome I think would be to lift the dragon warrior's and Hiryyu descendants curse. So the three dragons and Suwon would become human and get their lifespans back without their powers. Zeno can find his peace in heaven.
How I have no clue though. Any ideas?

Who are the hostages still held by Hamas?
On October 7, 2023, 253 Israelis and foreign nationals were kidnapped to Gaza by Hamas and gazan civilians. Since then, 105 were released in a prisioner exchange deal, 4 were released by Hamas and 3 were rescued.
However, 60 remain in captivity [as of 02/09/24] (4 of those were kidnapped prior to 2023). A recent investigation has concluded that more than a fifth of the hostages are dead and the fate of some other hostages remains unknown. This video explains how doctors determine which hostages are dead, based on the nature of their injury and by analyising footage and the victims' last phone calls. Additionally, during the operation in Gaza, the IDF has recovered the bodies of a few victims and returned to their families for burial.
Since I couldn't find this all in one place, I've compiled a list of: 1) hostages who are presumed alive; 2) hostaged whose death has been reported/confirmed; 3) hostages who were released or rescued. In the group of hostages presumed to be alive who haven't been released, the youngest is 1-year-old Kfir Bibas and the oldest hostage is Iraqi-born 85-year old Shlomo Mansour.
As we learn more information, I'll continue to update this post.
They need to come back home. I'm hoping for more successful rescue operations soon. Keep them in your thoughts.

cause sometimes i do write for other fandoms hehe
some hak x yona, for any akatsuki no yona fans out there that might still exist!
(also spoiler alert for chapter 253 so if you arent caught up please read at your OWN RISSSSKKK)
Left alone in the aftermath, she feels numb.
Hak has come and gone, building a fire, hunting and cooking a rabbit that still sits untouched at her feet, draping his cloak over her shoulders, yet still she cannot move. She cannot bear to take a single step forward, a single step back, a single step anywhere. Not without them. Not without her dragons. Not without her beloved comrades.
She simply cannot believe that this would be the end of them, that after all they’d been through together, after all they had endured, that this truly would be the end. Yona doesn’t know it, but tears are streaking her cheeks, staining the front of her dress as she cries silently, the pain intense. Somehow, this feels even worse than the murder of her own father, of losing her home and the only life she’d ever known. This feels as if a part of her were gone, taken from her without warning, leaving behind a ghost of who she once was. Her dragons had been more than comrades, more than friends, they were a part of her, just as she was a part of them. And to no longer have them at her side, to touch or to hold, to scold or to pester, she simply cannot imagine it.
It simply cannot be.
His own pain is evident, the bonds of friendship he’s forged with each of the dragons left behind by the imprints on his heart and mind. He too cannot bear to think that it was all over, that there would be no returning of their beloved friends, their dragon friends, their family. After all they’ve been through together, every fight, every win, every loss, every moment, he can’t begin to imagine that it was all over now. He’s cried his tears, though, and Hak knows he must be strong, perhaps stronger than he’s ever had to be before.
And so, as he crosses across the campsite, dropping the wood he carries beside the burning fire, simply so he might kneel down in front of the crying girl, putting both of his hands on her shoulders. “Princess…” He speaks softly, gently, but she does not react, as if she cannot even hear him through her anguish. “Princess.” He tries again, stronger; she sucks in a breath, reacting, but not responding. “Yona!” He calls her by her name, something he never does, and it does the trick- she blinks back into the present, her violet eyes swollen and gleaming like the most precious of jewels. “You need rest, sweetheart,” he softens again and she swallows, nodding, having no energy left to argue.
As he sits back on his hunches, prepared to rise back up, he feels the tug of her hands on the front of his robes. “Don’t go,” she whispers, pained, a fresh wave of tears filling her desperate eyes. Hak’s heart breaks all over again, but he steels himself against the pain, nodding his head. How could he ever leave her side, after all?
Carefully he navigates her down to the ground, still wrapped in his cloak, shielding her from the world around her with his own body. She squirms against him, burying her face into his chest, one single hand still yet twisting around the fabric of his robes, as if it were the one thing anchoring her to this world. He slides his arm around her slim frame, drawing her in, leaning in simply so he might press a kiss to the top of her head.
For how long they lay like that, Hak can’t really say, but he knows it doesn’t take long for her breathing to slow, for her grip on his robes to slacken, for her to drift off to what he can only hope is a peaceful sleep. As twilight turns to night, he watches over her sleeping frame, never once moving, intent on not disturbing her slumber, listening to the crackle of the burning embers and her soft breathing. He sighs quietly, peering down at her face, the tear tracks still yet evident on her cheeks, the sight like a knife to his heart.
It is right then and there that he vows to bring the dragons back to her, so their family might be whole once more. He swears it, on his own life and hers, that she would spend no more nights crying herself to sleep, for they would be a happy family once more, no matter the cost.
He would bring the dragons back and her smile, too, that was his vow.

suck - @rosekillermicrofic - word count: 253
"Say that again?" Barty asked weakly, blinking and trying to stay calm.
"I dare you to let Evan suck on your neck," Regulus said calmly, grinning as he sat atop James Potter's lap.
He bit his lip. He was known for taking any dare given to him. He couldn't give a reasonable argument as to why he didn't want to do it without hinting at his feelings.
There was no way out of it.
"Fine," he shrugged, trying to hide the way his heart raced.
He refused to meet Evan's eyes. Even as the other boy moved closer to him. Even as he leaned forward, breathing light, warm breath over his neck, making him shiver with need. Even has his hands moved to grasps his shoulders.
The first touch of lips on his body made him want to cry out.
Evan's mouth and tongue sucked and laved over delicate skin, coaxing goosebumps to the surface, heat bursting over him, a stifled groan barely avoiding his lips.
He just sat, eyes closed, head thrown back, as the other boy worked. But all too soon, Evan pulled away, meeting his eyes before he could avoid it, making Barty want to melt as he murmured, "Want me to suck harder so I can leave a mark?"
And it was a joke. A silly throwaway comment between friends. But Barty's brain was mush and his nerves were all begging for more and he didn't think before he spoke. So he just nodded and softly said, "Fuck, yes."

Israeli forces have conducted at least eight airstrikes on aid workers and facilities in Gaza since October despite direct communication with the groups, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report released on 14 May. “Israeli authorities did not issue advance warnings to any of the aid organizations before the strikes, which killed or injured at least 31 aid workers and those with them,” the report reads. “The eight incidents reveal fundamental flaws with the so-called deconfliction system, meant to protect aid workers and allow them to safely deliver life-saving humanitarian assistance in Gaza,” the HRW report continues. Multiple aid groups that have been victims of these Israeli airstrikes had been in communication with Israeli authorities about their locations and movements. One of the more recent incidents happened in April when Israel launched multiple airstrikes against a World Central Kitchen (WCK) convoy, killing several of its staff, one Palestinian translator, and foreign aid workers from Australia, the UK, Poland, and a dual US-Canadian citizen.
In the eight attacks mapped by HRW, at least 15 people, including two children, were killed, and 16 others were injured. The other seven attacks include strikes on the convoy of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in November, a UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) guest house in December, an MSF shelter in January, an International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) guest house in January, a UNRWA convoy in February, another MSF guest house in February, and the home of an American Near East Refugee Aid (Anera) employee in March. UN numbers at the end of April show 253 aid workers have been killed by Israeli attacks on Gaza since October, 188 of whom were UNRWA personnel.

"The images that Xie Lian was seeing in his left and right eyes were different, and it was incredibly uncomfortable. He blinked lightly, which made him discover that his right eye could still see the scene outside even while closed. So he kept his eyes shut."
TGCF Volume 5, page 253
So this is when Hua Cheng is sharing his butterfly vision with Xie Lian by touching foreheads with him. Which is a very cute hualian moment, but I actually wanna talk about something else - Xie Lian describes having those conflicting views in his left and right eye as really uncomfortable, and while of course Hua Cheng has had many years to get used to it, I think it's still a pretty good example at just how skilled he is at multi-tasking. Because he apparently does this - using butterfly vision and/or hearing to keep tabs on different locations/people - all the time. Meaning at any given moment he could be listening to several different conversations at once, plus "flipping through" different views in one half of his vision, while also paying attention to his current surroundings. And not just that, he has to sort through and evaluate all that input and information. Just thinking about all that gives me sensory overload.
Also, technically speaking, having only one eye means he should have no depth perception - in that eye, that is. His butterflies don't have that problem. Imagine constantly switching between vision with and without depth perception, that'd be so disorienting. But he's evidently trained himself to do all this to a point where he can just seamlessly switch back and forth or use both his normal vision and butterfly vision simultaneously.
In that sense, I also see the butterflies as a sort of disability aid. Because with his right eye missing, Hua Cheng has a huge blind spot on that side. And while yes, even as a child he used to constantly cover that eye, so he's had hundreds of years to learn how to compensate for this. But the butterflies allow him to navigate the world in a way that is significantly different to someone with full vision and also something he's honed into a unique skill - he's still blind on one side, but he's made it much harder for enemies to take advantage of that and actually learned to "see" in ways that they can't.

operation olive branch
about us: Operation Olive Branch is a volunteer-powered grassroots collective committed to the collective liberation of ALL peoples. We connect with and amplify families and mutuals and orgs in an effort to support their critical needs, which include but are not limited to their mutual aid requests. This global solidarity initiative is steered by a diverse core council of advocates from occupied Turtle Island which include Palestinian activists, the Jewish grandchild of a holocaust survivor, and everyone else in between.
gazafunds
about us: Gaza Funds is a project that connects people to crowdfunding campaigns for individuals and families from Gaza. We are a global team of (mostly) Arab and Palestinian engineers, students, writers, and academics working to help get exposure and traction to fundraisers created for people in Gaza, Palestine. We are not an organization or a charity. We do not create fundraisers and we do not collect money on behalf of them. Our work on this project is completely voluntary. We created this site as a way to give others quick access to these fundraisers for informational purposes only.
operation poppy flower (now also linked in oob's sheet)
mission statement: Our goal is to fulfill as many fundraising campaign goals as possible through crowdfunding. Please do not underestimate the power of crowdfunding: small amounts of money donated by large amounts of people. Collectively, we can all play a SIGNIFICANT role in securing the safety of our beloved brothers and sisters in Gaza.
operation watermelon
about me: Hello there! I'm the person behind Operation Watermelon. My family hails from Rameh and Nazareth, and like many Palestinians, we're spread out across the globe. Born and raised in the United States by my migrant parents, I've always felt a strong connection to my roots and a need to contribute to the cause back home. Combining my skills in 3D printing, design, and e-commerce seemed like the right way to make a difference. So, here we are. Operation Watermelon is my way of merging my passion with purpose, creating items that not only tell a story but also contribute to a cause close to my heart. It's about doing what we can, with what we have, wherever we are in the world. Thanks for being part of this journey.
project watermelon
instagram based account from google sheet: Project Watermelon has personally vetted each and every donation link on this sheet. We are the creators of the spreadsheet and are the ones who maintain it. We can only provide technical support for GFM and we do not set up GFM pages.
strawberry seeds collective
from google sheet: Each fundraiser listed has been vetted by one of our volunteers and/or another reliable source. 100% of the donations made to these fundraisers go to the family or human(s) that need them. All funds are intended to provide food, medicine, shelter, and/or evacuation funding. Each fundraiser represents hope, life, and peace for the humans they aim to support - so please take a look around, and thank you for making the world a little kinder. ♡
ottawa4palestine

about us: The Butterfly Effect Project believes in the power of ordinary people to create meaningful and positive change in the world. Each week we select two campaigns to amplify on our social media accounts, with daily posts sharing the story. We choose neglected campaigns that aren't receiving the attention and support they need. We have also created this list of verified campaigns for people to donate to and spread awareness for.
