يشير Ecce Homo، الذي يُترجم إلى "هوذا الرجل"، إلى مشهد من الكتاب المقدس حيث يتم تقديم يسوع المسيح أمام الشعب اليهودي. حدثت هذه الحادثة بعد جلد المسيح وتكليله بالشوك والإستهزاء به، وبلغت ذروتها بالصلب. وقد أستكشف الفنان الإيطالي الشهير أنطونيو تشيزيري هذا الموضوع، وعامله كحدث تاريخي.

رُسم هذا العمل الفني الكبير على مدى عقدين تقريباً، من عام ١٨٧١ إلى عام ١٨٩١. كُلِّف من الحكومة الإيطالية، ويُعد هذا العمل الفني الأكثر أهمية لتشيزيري، وقد كُشِف النقاب عنه في الإستوديو الخاص به بعد وفاته بفترة وجيزة، ونال مديح واسع النطاق لضوءه المشع والتقديم البارع للألوان البيضاء الشفافة. يتبنى تشيزيري منظور علمي واقعي في تصوير اللحظة التي يقدم فيها بيلاطس البنطي، من شرفة القصر، المسيح وباراباس إلى الجمهور المجتمع للحكم. زوجة الحاكم هي الشخصية الوحيدة التي يظهر وجهها، وتتشارك لحظة خاصة مع خادمتها، ويبدو أنها تنقل إيمانها ببراءة المسيح من خلال الهمس. وجود الجنود الرومان وعناصر مختلفة كالملابس التاريخية والميزات المعمارية يضفي على اللوحة أجواء تاريخية حقيقية.
