we have gotten a few asks about the “rules” for making a sona or OC in the faeu, so if you’re someone that likes to be “canon-compliant” or have a set of rules to follow when making an OC, here they are! (feel free to not follow them if you don’t want to, you’re welcome to use your imagination)
Dream and Nightmare are the oldest current living fae in the Seasonal Realms at 1500 years old, older fae either left or died during the war
there are no hybrid fae (spring/autumn, summer/winter, etc). the Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter magics are like oil and water and cannot mix. a fae has the magic of whatever realm they were born into, and a human that becomes fae will have the magic of whatever realm they were tricked in.
Spring-Summer fae can’t travel to Autumn-Winter (and vice versa) without protections or the blessing of the king of where they’re travelling. fae will fall very ill from the conflicting magic after spending even an hour across the border (Summer fae will have a cold and Winter fae will have a fever).
it is possible to convert to another realm, but it is a process and you have to be blessed by the king of the realm you’re switching to in a ceremony. however, if you convert to Spring-Summer and then change your mind and want to return to Autumn-Winter, Nightmare will refuse to let you return. so choose wisely. Dream is more lenient—if you convert to Autumn-Winter and then want to return to Spring-Summer, Dream will welcome you back.
there are certain physical traits associated with each court—
Summer/Spring Court - Antlers. Wings: Butterfly, Dragonfly, Bee, Praying Mantis, Wasp, Fly
Winter/Autumn Court - Horns. Wings: Moth, Beetle, Cicada, Grasshopper, Firefly, Cockroach
there are fae that aren’t based on insects! fae that are bird-like, have traits of dragons or unicorns, things like that. feel free to get creative with it ^^
fae can’t lie, it makes them physically ill. it’s not worth it to try. you can trade a human for the ability to lie, however only one fae has managed to do so. most fae don’t think it’s a skill they need, and the ability to manipulate words and dancing around the truth is a highly valued skill. fae culture loves wordplay. humans that are becoming fae will find telling lies makes them more and more ill until they’re dissuaded from it.
there are realms beyond the faewildes, and other kingdoms of fae with different magics. it is possible to travel from one to another through the wildes but it is dangerous. the faewildes do not have a ruler as wild magic doesn’t like to be tamed, but there are fae that survive out there (Error is one example).
in the fae realms there are some fae known as “Aspects”. fae that went through a lot of complicated, life-altering, incredibly influential experiences that were entirely concentrated around a singular concept of some kind. it changes them fundamentally as a person, concentrating their magic on that concept until they are tied to it intrinsically and it is as much a part of them as they are a part of it. events on the level of Frisk surviving a beam from Asriel as the god of hyperdeath at 0.0000001 HP through sheer Determination, or all the things that made Sans into Geno and then ultimately into Error. they become that thing personified. Aspects are incredibly powerful and exceedingly rare, and it’s a very big deal for one to happen. notable Aspects are Dream (Positivity), Nightmare (Negativity), Error (Chaos), and Ink (Inspiration).
a lot of the faeu is based on Celtic folklore—there are many interesting concepts and creatures to read about and pull inspiration from. i recommend reading up on the Tuatha Dé Danann and Aos Sí!
all fae can make magically-binding deals, even humans that just got tricked into staying in the fae realms that haven’t turned fae yet. magically-binding deals are usually limited to things that you can actually complete, such as trading something you own/have or doing some kind of service. with study and training it is possible to strengthen your magic and give intangible things such as a boon/luck/etc. the more tied you are to the magic of the realm the more powerful you are and the more complex of a deal you can make. it takes lots of study to reach this level.

apologizes if this has been asked before, but aside from butterflies=summer and moths=winter what other kinds of insect wings are associated with each court?
I posted it a lil while back but I'll repost it here since some people were looking at making sonas (which you should totally tag me and @/owl-bones in so we can take a gander 👀)
Summer/Spring Court - Antlers. Butterfly, Dragonfly, Bee, Praying Mantis, Wasp, Fly
Winter/Autumn Court - Horns. Moth, Beetle, Cicada, Grasshopper, Firefly, Cockroach
Antlers/Horns aren't a required feature, just something that some fae can grow uwu

May I offer: Bumblebee finding out who Shockwave is during Boot Camp and immediately calling him beautiful.
To him, "Longarm" lying about his power and name doesn't matter, he was truly a friend to him and he greatly appreciates that.
Perhaps the pair start dating because of this
Yeees. I love when this is the kinda take this ship has.
Bee met Longarm shortly after he became acquaintances with Bulkhead, the mech was not much social in the first few days at the camp. I would imagine that Longarm was the one who stood up to Wasp for Bee when Bulk wasn't around. Thus began their friendship.
They were getting along quite well, Bee found Longarm fun to hang out with. Sometimes they talked all 3, sometimes it was just Bee and Longarm. Or rare occasions Bee talked with Long about stuff that bothered him and Long comforted him and offered advice.
Somehow, during one of their talks Bee asked Long about Decepticons.
"Whaddya think they look like?" Bee asked curious. That caught Longarm offguard, did Bee get a whiff or something he shouldn't have? "I don't know, I heard they are mostly warframes."
"Do you think they have claws? Horns? Are they tall n skinny or big n buff? Big red eyes glaring right into your light??" The scout rambled, making gestures with his servos similar to the features he was talking about.
Longarm felt a bit uneasy, he didn't like that Bee got interested in this topic- especially since the rumors about a con spy around boot camp got a bit louder recently. "...That sound horrifying."
"What? It sounds cool as frag!" To Long's surprise, Bee protested before excitedly continuing. "Like, I'd wanna be big and have claws! *gasp* Do you think they can roar?" He looked at him as if he knew the answer before ignoring if Long had anything to say.
"Imagine that- you're walking alone and hear something in the dark. You turn around and there's a big lanky figure staring right at you with a red eye and antlers and it just starts growling and chasing you." Bee rambled, excitement almost radiating off of his little frame. "This would be such a good prank! Then he went on mumbling to himself something about a costume.
Longarm just sat there, not sure what to think of it. On one hand it was nice to not hear one more person speak of Decepticons as the worst kind of mechs to exist but at the same time Bee's excitement about them being stereotypical moster-alikes was a bit concerning. Especially since the supposed example description of a Decepticon he gave sounded awfully close to how Shockwave looked.
They dug the topic for a little bit before going back ot their own dorms, Bee mentioned something about how having such a scary mech as a buddy would be cool- ultimate scary hound privillages, as he put it.
As time went on, their friendship took a shape of a mutual crush on one another that none of them knew how to confess.
I would imagine the way Bee found out about Shockwave is after they are on earth. It was after Bee was send to investigate the moon, he saw Longarm shape into Shockwave but never revealed he was there.
He lied about what he saw and went back to earth. It was difficult trying to hide his feelings about the situation, he was lucky no one decided to question it... On the other hand "Longarm" was desperately trying to check up on him. He didn't respond to messages nor picked up the calls for few days, when he did it was only for a brief talk and reassurance he was fine before he hung up to wallow in his thoughts again.
Soon enough, Elite Guard visited Earth and Longarm came along to hang out with his friends,... but even then Bee seemed distant for some reason. He rarely hung around when Longarm was in base.
One day however Bee send a private message to Longarm to meet him in a secluded area. Longarm went there, it turned out to be some forest meadow near the river shoreline, very unlikely location for Bee to choose for a fun hangout spot.
Bee was odd; he wasn't awkward or serious but he also wasn't as happy as he usually was to meet Long. They talked, Bee unexpectedly brought up their friendship... how Longarm was fun and helpful, how Bee enjoyed every meeting and talk they had and how good of a friend he was... but it wasn't really him, was it?
Longarm was confused, trying to play not knowing what Bee was talking about but Bee told him he knew he looked different usually.
"You're one of them, aren't you? A Decepticon?" It was almost unnerving how calm Bee was when saying it. No rage or accusations, just this soft voice with no clear emotions telling him things.
Longarm tried to refuse but it was for nothing, he tried to desperately explain himself but Bee just looked at him in dead silence. Long's words fell silent, he hung his helm expecting Bee to end their relations right there and then. But all Bee said was "Show me."
"What?" That took him offguard.
"Show me your true self." Bee repeated. Longarm didn't know if he should, for all he knew it could be a trap! There could be other mechs hidden and just waiting to see the truth... But the way Bee looked at him- it wasn't just blank expession. He saw these soft yet careful optics patiently waiting and watching him.
There was no use in resisting. He gave up his internal fight and did as told; his frame shifted and limbs extended and just a moment later, Shockwave stood in the middle of the meadow, his lanky stretched frame hunched over as if to not seem as intimidating as when he stood full height. His single optic locked with the scout's widened ones.
Carefully Bee walked forward and stopped in front of Shockwave, the big con averted his optic in shame. "...I look horrifying." he said in the familiar although a little more husky and staticky than Longarm's.
Bee stood quiet, then reched up and placed his servo on the big mech's helm edge to make him look at him. "No."
Shockwave locked optics with Bee again, this time his gaze was warm and the mini smiled at him fondly. "You're cool as frag."
They talked, Bee told him that he didn't really care about Shockwave being a con, the only complaint he had is that he couldn't learn more about him sooner. The conversation took a playful if not flirtatious tones, both of them were teasing one another back and forth and having a very good time. The end of the day was nearing the end, sun setting on the horizon and Bee had to go home.
Just as he was leaving he decided to make a bold move- he turned, grabbed Shockwave helm and pulled him lower. Shock was so confused until Bee gingerly pressed his forehelm to his with a little nuzzle. Even tho it was only a couple of seconds it felt like hours- Bee let go of his helm and only threw one of his iconing grins before running away and yelling bye as he left.
Next time Longarm visited Bee was more than happy to greet him. He was also a lot touchy than usual, which Longarm couldn't complain at, it felt so good to finally move forward with their relations... altho it would've been nicer if Bee didn't make sneaky jokes with references to how Shockwave looked.
Bee promised to not tell anyone about Shockwave, under few "conditions" as he called them. Main one being that Shock has to help him with scary pranks.
For now that's all i got! Hope you enjoyed the little story- Geez why do i have to make them that long. Goodnight!

Bee Keeper Mountain
CW: Winged Insects (pictured are only bees though, some piled on a hand at the very end of the post)
Mountain has several traditional, if customized, beehives out on the ministry grounds but an indoor hive for his favorite bee folk, that he built with Aether, as well. He loves watching them and being able to hear the buzzing when he takes a midday nap. It's like white noise to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He also has a freeloader of a roommate. No, not a ghoul. A blue carpenter bee that lives in a hole in his antlers. Mountain calls him Bee-casso.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mountain obviously makes his own honey. Aside from the regular ones, he's working on perfecting a kind with very special properties for ghoul illnesses, made from plants he crossbred and cultivated himself. Rumor has it they're stemming from seeds from the pit. Mountain never confirms or denies those rumors.
When it's his turn to make breakfast or snacks, he serves honeycombs with it. (He snacks on them while harvesting them, too.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The earth ghoul makes sure his bees have a diverse flower buffet to choose from by making little seed balls and handing them out. He personalizes them too, based on seasons and the being they are intended for. When he sees a certain patch growing, he'll know who "lost" their little balls there. Swiss and Aether take it as the perfect opportunity to make ball jokes. To no one's surprise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mountain, ever the protector of nature, is also the one that insists on gently resettling Hymenoptera colonies that built their home in hidden alcoves throughout the ministry grounds, such as the kitchens and the sibling dining hall. All are done by hand to ensure none of the little critters get injured.
Once, a group of siblings poisoned a wasp nest, and Mountain was so upset that he didn't talk for a week. The disappearance of the responsible siblings is deemed just a simple coincidence.

So I dreamed I was wearing a head to toe (like with a mask/veil) gown made of thousands of obsidian arrowheads mounted on a little antler disk with a living eye on it. They were layered like feathers and would bristle and ruffle according to my mood.
Then I walked into an opulent thrown room where all the nobility were feasting and the "feathers" exploded off and flew around like a swarm of wasps slicing up the oppressors.
Anyway I've got an idea for a Halloween costume. 🎃

Aleielle’s TES Species Lore (for their AU) for Those Who Have Like Zero PT. 1
Ft me completely redesigning the uh… iffy one from early days lol
Lilmothiit:
Lilmothiit were VERY against physical attachment to like, non individuals, thats why they only had two known cities. So much of their culture was built around secrecy and disappearing quickly and quietly- but also keeping their friends and familt close in safe. Each individual in fact had three names, their given, familial name by their parents- only used within those they trust, their ‘public’ name which is sort of decided on by the whole close community, snd their ‘secret or true’ name chosen by themselves- which makes it very very hard to track down an individual. Their culture has always been crazy accepting of trans and enby individuals because they view the shedding of the ‘false self’ like the unraveling of a greatly constructed but obviously false lie. Their secrecy is less ‘ooough scary secretive conniving’ and more like… the joyful playful secrecy of an acting troupe- but adapted to an environment that wants to kill them. May or may not also be because of some great trauma they’ve tried to forget but nobody will confirm nor deny this- but it certainly helps with grief when you eliminate most you’d grieve over from the occasion. though most settlements are easily moveable by choice- they mostly moved back into city during the wet / flood months. Buuut since the flu wiped a bunch out they’ve fled underground for the time being- since they kind of worried the other species’d take advantage of their weakness at the time.
Faun:
Fauns were- or their stories say- created by hircine (the god of the hunt) from the bones of both slain predators and prey- and they believe that they themself must uphold the natural cycle of the world at all costs- less so in y’know, the normal ways in some fantasies, but more like- if you cut down a tree for wood, plant another and fertilize its soil so that you gift those you took from with new life. Almost entirely obligate carnivores, but will chomp on grass like a cat or swallow a rock to help cronch up food lol. The reason why some have stories of them committing such ‘horrible’ violence (cough tying someone up, covering them in honey, then aggravating some wasps-) is because they are genuinely sickened by how utterly disrespectful most other sapient species are to the world- just destroying and conquering with zero care of what that will do the ecosystem- so they feel its only right to destroy those who do so- like how when there’s too much wolves in a forest and its killing off all the deer, sometimes special hunting permits are given out. And, in opposite to this, those they find respectful or genuinely willing to learn they eagerly take in and teach them their arts and whatnot- and y’know, not eat. All faun are the same sexe, do they just use they them since they aren’t really male or female. ANTLERS ARE LIKE SUPER IMPORTANT! Losing antlers apart from the yearly shed is basically considered horrific and individuals will make fake antlers to try to well… be less anxious about it? During events of great personal significance, individuals will make their own decor for their antlers (ie pushing through some mental stuff thats been plaguing them for years, marriage, healing from a really bad injury, that sort of thing). Unlike people seem to believe, they do have towns, they’ve just moved them all to hircine’s realms out of worry of what the humans or elves may do 🥲
Lamiae:
The first Lamiae (which in lore are all women and identify as such) were created by the egg mother (in lore thing that literally has nothing but a name) to protect her beloved waterways (they’re amphibians lol), and each subsequent viewed themselves as her daughters- alongside them was created ‘the great egg’ an artifact semi sapient but still technically an artifact- but during some event they refuse to talk about, and didn’t personally cause- the egg was shattered. It is pretty well known amongst them that all living lamia have a shard of this artifact inside them- and is the source of their powers- and it is also what leads them all to be sort of… knowledge horders? Yet at the same time they refuse to stray far from the waters they swear to protect. Their absolute honesty to eating others kinda makes other species look down on them, like, a lot- but they dont do this out of malice or ‘better then thou’ attitude, but because quite literally, each sapient soul consumed increases the consumee’s knowledge, and helps mend the cracks- in fact, they feel its an honour, and would be greatly offended if they weren’t consumed on passing. Otherwise they’re usually pretty chill- don’t hurt their eggs, or pollute their water ways- and they’ll leave you alone- but they will NEVER turn down an opportunity for a good riddle, or trade a powerful enchantment in exchange for knowledge they don’t know yet. Also like, magic lesbians so yippee 🤭. Buuuut the reason they attack other species so often is because they’e rightly pissed for being so frequently driven out of the lands they’ve lived on for centuries, and slaughter like rabid beasts.
AAAAND of course~
Igma:
The igma! Ugh, the igma- they had the potential to be something really cool in reallly early lore but they really just ended up being super racist 🤢. I mean come on! Baboon people? Sick! Anywho! The igma are like, super in tune with time- but as a result some of the more powerful grow downright insane by the passing of it- hence why there have been so many igma liches through history. Before the arrival of the elves they were one of the province’s greatest people- ever devoted to studying and predicting what was to come, and making sure anything horrible was prevented. They were great mages and doctors- and would help the others species buuut had a reputation of being kind of eh to deal with because of how blunt and straightforward they were, feeling that lying was useless because they sort of thought many steps ahead. Unsurprisingly, pretty keen worshippers of Jyggalag, the god of logic. Buuut upon the arrival of the ayleid elves (and the sort of coincidental disappearance of jyggalag), something they literally could not have predicted- a lot of them were killed or turned into well, living artwork like a lot of the other species of tamriel at the time 😔. Of course, the ayleids eventually fell, but the damage and absolute destruction could never outright be repaired. For better or worse they were no longer so utterly sure of themselves, and their philosophy switched more to living in the moment, and finding meaning in the littlest of things. In fact, a lot of the best philosophers and authors come from them. Lately the altmeri dominion has started a bit of a smear campaign against them, but the igma refuse to fight fire with fire, knowing all to well what violence lead to in the past. And are assured knowing that like past violent superpowers on the continent, this one will too fall. But at least, this time they have their uncertainty to defend them
I wanted an excuse to make Jyggalag worshippers lmao

was working on the carpenter bee one for a unrelated brainworm, and reslised that it very much fits with the lion I designed earlier, so I took another turn to iterate on that older design, and then included the Tiger to expand on the idea that large cat animals are all part of the "manticore" family.
Antlers, take the role of longer cat ears to express emotion and alertness. For the Tiger, they got an extra pair of antlers on the back, leaving them no blind spot.
Mandables are there to hook onto prey, for the desert lion, the prey is usually larger than the hunter, so they are large and jagged. for the mountain cougar, the prey is smaller, and easy to slip away, so they adapted to using their front claws more for catching, leaving the mandables to not be needed. the tiger, hunting in the jungle needs the strength and nimbleness to catch prey without getting stuck by random foliage, so they are smooth and sharp, not sticking out as far as a desert lions.
Stingers also vary, big strong clubs on the lion to ram against larger beasts, Smaller red hot magmar for cougar to melt tough hide, armor, or containers to get to their food, and long venom stingers for the wasp tigers.
Mane and Color Pattern is inspired both by the large Cat and the Bug they are combined with.

WASP REVIEW - QUEEN SECTONIA (& ANTLERS) (KIRBY: TRIPLE DELUXE)
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A 3D render of Queen Sectonia from Kirby: Triple Deluxe /End IDs.]
I love the Kirby series! It's a great series for a more casual platforming experience, and almost game I've played has been super memorable. Now, in all honesty, don't remember much of my time playing Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but I feel like it has more to do with how sparse my play sessions were at the time, and how long ago it was, rather than the actual quality of the game. One of the things I do remember, though, is the big stinger of a final boss that is Queen Sectonia!
This review is gonna be a quick one because, for one, she doesn't appear for that long in the game, and secondly because there really isn't all that much to pull from in terms of real world equivalents. In terms of appearance, her body is thin-waisted, akin to a member of the family Sphecidae, her exoskeleton seeming fairly smooth (although most of is covered by her regal clothing. Her eyes are seemingly somewhat mammalian in nature, with sclerae, irises, and darker spots that at least resemble pupils. She doesn't actually have any limbs at all, with her gloved hands floating Rayman-style off to her sides. Honestly, her thick antennae and partially clear, very distinctly venated wings, remind me of a Hornet Moth, more than anything, with some further wing comparisons to be drawn from the venation of Cicada wings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media

Furthermore, and I have to give props to the editors of WiKirby for this observation, it seems as though some of her features, as well as her backstory, may also be in reference to the Japanese legend of the Jorōgumo, and by extension the real world Jorō Spider, the Jorōgumo being a Yōkai which takes the form of a Jorō Spider but possesses the ability to transform herself into another form, that of a beautiful, human woman.
Tumblr media
[Image Source: Flickr, Christina Butler | Image ID: A photo of a black, yellow, grey, and red Jorō Spider /End ID.]
Speaking of her backstory, interestingly enough, this is where she gets a bit odd, as she was actually originally more spider-like. In her original form, she was obsessed with beauty, so her at the time friend (later lackey, and even later enemy), Taranza, bestowed her with the Dimension Mirror, which gave her the form we see in the game now. Perhaps she simply saw some insectoid forms as being more elegant and/or beautiful than her original form, spurred on by thoughts of the regal queens of wasps (Vespids, Bees, Ants), or mayhaps this is just a design choice entirely intended just to tie in to the plant theming of the game, with wasps being essential pollinators. It seems as though she was then corrupted by the Mirror, attempting to take over Floralia and Planet Popstar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image IDs: Two 3D renders of what is implied to be Queen Sectonia's original form /End IDs.]
As for her behaviors, it's hard to see much that really ties her current form in with real world wasps apart from the aspect of queenship, she doesn't even truly seem to use her stinger, instead opting for swords (A common choice amongst Hymenopteran enemy designs it seems) and magic. One could say that the implications that her kind feed on the life force of others to survive is referential to parasitic wasps, including the aspect of control (See last week's review of 'Parasitica' from TMNT 2012 for more on real world parasitic wasps that control other insects), but it could just as easily be said that this could once again be in reference to the man-eating Jorōgumo.
It certainly doesn't get any more easy to analyze in terms of the real world when we get into the second part of the fight, as she fuses herself with the Dreamstalk to become Flowered Sectonia, feeding indiscriminately on all life below (not even close to the most fucked up thing in this mostly E For Everyone franchise, between Shiver Star, Fecto Forgo, Zero, and the extremely Dark Souls sounding boss Astral Birth Void). Her face becoming the pistil of the flower and her antennae the stamens, multiplying into three pairs, her wings taking on a different and more angel-like shape. In this form, her attacks still use magic but are also heavily plant-based.
Tumblr media
[Image ID: A screenshot of Flowered Sectonia /End IDs.]
One more thing of note are her other lackeys, the Antlers, fairly standard platformer enemies that use maces and shields to attack Kirby, taking orders from and often summoned by Sectonia in battle. They have an anthropomorphic build, similarly Rayman-esque, with the floating hands and feet that may or may not be connected to the body, and have a head that reminds me of that of a Paper Wasp, Sphecid, or Cuckoo Wasp, although they are wingless, like some ant castes or female Mutillids. They also come in four unique flavors! Original, Ice, Fire, and Spark.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image Sources: New Scientist, and Australian Museum, Mark Raward | Image IDs: A screenshot of the Antlers during the fight against Queen Sectonia DX, followed by a photo of a black, yellow, and brown Paper Wasp's face, followed then by a photo of an iridescent green, blue, and black Cuckoo Wasp /End IDs.]
Not much to say about these guys (Gals?), other than that it shows that Seconia does in fact have some sort of hive, in all honesty, but I do find them supremely charming.
With all that said, what would I rate Queen Sectonia and her followers? Well I usually like to rate these wasps on accuracy, and if I did that for these characters, the rating would probably be fairly low. However, it seems like she's really a bit too far from the real thing to really do that, especially with her more apparent ties to folklore, so, I'll have to go for just a straight up opinion here. Really, this is a type of character I've seen a few times before, the overlord obsessed with beauty and power, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I don't find it very interesting. I do find myself really enjoying her backstory and inspiration, and her design is pretty alright!

Overall: 6.5/10

Any shockbee headcanons you haven't shared here? 👀
GOSH,,, theres probably a few considering how obsessed with them I am and I certainly will never quite be done talking abt them KJNDSFKJGNSFDGKJNDFGSD.
I'm not sure if this is a hc or more speculating on a possible au but I think if Shockwave had told Bee who he was before things went all fucky with Wasp and such Bee would've been shocked yes but I don't think Bee would've wanted to turn him in. I think at first he very much would've underestimated how big of a deal dating a secret con would be and would just kind of treat it like a cool forbidden romance which would end with both side happily singing together. If you've ever heard "We See The Light"from something rotten yeah thats how Bee imagines it I think.
More on speculating on that idea I wish we had more fics exploring the idea of a world where in boot camp Shockwave came clean bc I think Bee being kinda ignorant in his understanding of the cons would be an interesting idea to explore. Bee tells him to just join the autobots bc they are the "good guys" and doesnt realize how tasteless that is. He insists the autobots would react better to Shockwave being a con than is likely bc Shockwaves 'not like the other cons' idk I think it would be interesting drama-
Bumblebee in boot camp was very prone to letting his insecurities and his inner fears make a fool of himself in their relationship. I think if Longarm started to get in good will with almost any other mech Bee would've started PANICKING thinking it would most certainly be the perfect excuse for Longarm to drop him like a piece of trash and ditch him. Which leads to him purposely doing dumb stuff to impress Longarm and try to keep his relationship a float. Sometimes its funny, sometimes its tiring and Shockwave was prolly relieved to see Bee go through a bit of development with not being so insecure bc yeah Bee kinda lets them get to him sometimes-
Bee has a HUGE tendency in boot camp to give into peer pressure and then drag Longarm into it. Ironhide brought vodka into the barracks? Well quick Longarm we have to drink it too otherwise we're chicken! Shockwave finds it somewhat endearing bc it leads to him doing things he never would have otherwise and its fun to be reckless sometimes but also Bee please put the fireworks away this isn't worth street cred-
Bee is very openly affectionate in front of others, Shockwave rarely stops him bc they are very touch starved and I think I've said this before but if the cons/autobots ever made a Warrior cats style 'its illegal to date people on the opposite faction' law punishable by death they would die first-
Bee has undiagnosed dyslexia, Longarm quickly becomes his proof reader for reports and boot camp assignments.
Bee has a ton of posters, decorations and strange things in his room, Longarm has those set ups people make fun of for being the pinnacle of single men having no decorations or furniture.
Longarm keeps a diary type book full of reports on day to day activities just for himself, Bee has started several diaries and uses them for a few days before ditching them.
As far as Shockwave is concerned every joke is funny as long as Bee is the one saying it and nobody agrees but Bee loves it.
Shockwave fidgets and moves his antlers a lot when he is thinking, he denies this but Bee has noticed it a lot. He's pretty much memeorized most of Longarm's fidgets and general way he acts
Bc of this I think if Shockwave were to meet Bee and just pretend he was unrelated to Longarm n such Bee would actually piece the truth out himself bc he was never observent in class, but he could stare at his wonderful boyfriend Longarm for hours...
Autism and ADHD love they have <3 their brains just click together a lot of the time and Bee helps Longarm unlearn his constant need to mask.
These are all the ones I can think of rn, really trying to avoid treading over ground I already touched on KJDNSFGKJDNFSGKJNFDGSD, EITHER WAY, I hope u like hearing me spill more brain thoughts-

I Can't Make You Love Me Ch. 18 FFN/AO3
Jabberwock was as good a name for this creature. It had a long, serpentine body and its eyes glowed with an orange fire. It nearly blended in with its surroundings seeming to be part flora and part fauna. An amalgam of countless living things. Its skin was scales and fur and something pitted like a wasp's nest or beehive. It had many rows of teeth, its lip curling up in a snarl. Or maybe it had no lips at all. Fiyero frowned upon seeing blood, almost black but glistening in the moonlight. The creature made that low, baleful sound again and struggled, it's insect wings fluttering and buzzing. Thin wires glinted like silver and cut into its skin. "It's trapped!" said Fiyero. Elphaba followed his gaze. "We should help," she said, scrambling to her feet to go towards it. Something swooped in, knocking her back several feet. "Elphaba!" Fiyero ran to her. She looked to have just had the wind knocked out of her. Another creature similar to the first stood its ground. While the first looked to blend in with the land, this one was bright and stood out. It had a crest of feathers dark and speckled, a face like a mandrill's bright blue with a red nose, two antlers like twisting trees, lion's paws instead of eagle claws, and eyes that burned orange.

Welcome back, weird, sculptured little friends 🖤 Kapala floridana wasps are just weird little guys. Males (like this guy) have fantastic antlers for antennae, and, uhh, that booty? Like that's a purse, that's a carry-on bag. He's a very silly gargoyle and I love him.

Note
In that case, do mortals grow wings when they become faes :o
They do! Along with pointy ears and sharper teeth among other things. The type of wings (and on some, horns/antlers) you see on fae are generally based on what Court they belong to.
Summer/Spring Court - Antlers. Butterfly, Dragonfly, Bee, Praying Mantis, Wasp, Fly
Winter/Autumn Court - Horns. Moth, Beetle, Cicada, Grasshopper, Firefly, Cockroach
