Then look for the “Blocked Tumblrs“ option and open it.

This is the list we have of well known anti recast, pro artist actively stalking and insulting other people. Feel free to block them all if you like, you will have to input their username one by one (sorry, we know it’s hard work), but it will be worth it.

We are sure there are many, many more each day using fake accounts (sometimes they abandon one account and open another, some accounts change topics to pretend they are completely different accounts and have nothing to do with dolls) to continue bringing us down on this wonderful hobby. So keep an eye out for them and the first anti recast thing they say, save yourself the trouble and block them. ❤

Remember when you block someone they will not be able to follow you, reply or re-blog, but if they use the specific website address, they will be able to read and see (not interact) everything you do or post in your blog.

We hear all anti recast haters are using this list as a “badge of honor” and they say “now they know it’s safe to buy from this people”, please, do not assume that for a second.

Most anti recast community members  have hidden hi quality recasts on their crew (indistinguishable from the legit, metal plate on the head and all, no shrinking, same weight, usually from Volks LE, Luts, Soom, and Iplehouse, since it’s easier to say you lost the box and COA because this are “old dolls”and you moved to another house, or it’s almost untraceable to the original owner and you got it used), or might play you either way as they did before recast not sending items and such.

Some people are just BAD. We made the list for our own personal reasons and because we actually think the part of the bjd community WE represent will have a better time on Tumblr by blocking this haters to begin with.

But that does not imply this people is “honorable” or “trustworthy” in any way. Before recast existed as a thing, many of this people scammed others in the hobby. Then they became antis or “pro artist", and because all the hate was focus on the recast issue, seems everyone forgot what this (now popular) members of the community did. We have not.

Do not take this list as “a list of trustworthy bjd community members” or a badge of honor because it is never a honor to be among haters and bullies who bring hate to a lovely, wonderful hobby.

We couldn’t believe it first, but it seems is true, our  blog’s name is on this list. This tumblr owner should check the info before to speak. We never in our life have  insulted or stalked anyone and , in fact, is this confessions tumblr owner the one who is calling us names for things that we never did and making some very serious acusations when state that (sic) “ many of this people scammed others in the hobby“  Please, present a proof or what you are saying, or take our name off the list . We are artists, professionals, and take our  work  very seriously, as anyone of our customers and friends can say.  We have been in the bjd dollmaking art since 2012 and before that we spent many years as artisans making fixed dolls and figures. Listen, I’m already on that “Reblogged Antirecast Posts = Mean To Recasts ☹” list, I’m not gonna hesitate to say that I regard statements like “I don't care about where the dolly came from, I’m just here to have fun!” as being a neutral-to-pro recast statement--even if it wasn’t intended as such.

Besides, it’s perfectly possible to express disapproval without being mean.

We can say this

“I don't approve of recasts.”

or this

“I’m pro-artist.”

or even

“It’s the prevalence of recasts that has made it so hard to sell legit dolls without papers on the secondary market.”

If you do have issues with people who have been mean about it--especially in situations you feel are unjust, like someone who bought a recast unwittingly and you feel has been given no second chance, or someone else with a legit doll they can't sell because of missing papers...maybe venting your frustration toward me isn't going to change my mind in any way.

you know, it wouldnt surprise me one bit if not ONE single person in that list of 'antirecast people who harass and bully' has ever harassed or bullied ANY prorecast person. I'm on the list and i've never interacted with one, let alone sent any hate. All I've done is leave comments on confessions when I disprove of someones prorecast actions which is NOT STALKING OR HARASSING. I dont even insult them, just say 'please buy legit'! So many kind and generous people are on that list, its all lies.

So now there is a list of so called antirecast people/Blogs.... i wanted to point out: even the words make it sounds like something bad- because we are against something... if you used the term I prefer: pro-artist- it would feel completely different. I am for the artist, for the source of that wonderful hobby. My foundation is the love for the hobby and the artist not the hate for greedy consumer. So pro-recast is actually anti-artist in my book...

See? This is the why antis will never understand.

They run like kids throwing a tantrum while covering their ears and singing out loud their favorite song.

This confession blog it's SUPER antirecast, and ain't afraid to show it, giving rush up priority for everything against recasts (or artist they dislike, partial my as*!).

No matter if we've covered every reason why a person would prefer a recast, and why this wouldn't affect the artist, they just keep covering their ears and screaming outloud.

I'll list it once more, with felling:

1) it's true. If a person isn't going to buy (never-ever, for whatever reason you choose, there's a lot of them, I'll list them bellow) the original from the artist, it means, even if this person buys a recast of the same doll, the artist isn't loosing money or sales.

I don't see where on that statement there's a confusing part for antis, but, oh well. But the fact that the OP "doesn't care" how we think it works because we should all accept what some say and "never think or question things by ourselves", just making antirecast (or so called "proartist") arguments a hell of a lot more fishy.

2) sorry, but if a person want to buy a minifee chloe, but then chose to buy a SOOM minigem? pretty sure that's the definition of "Fairyland just lost a sale" regardless of if it's an original or not 😑, since if the person has the money and means to buy a legit (and I'm talking about purchasing straight from the company, secondhand MP isn't even included on this example, as much as you want me to, because you want to sell a ten year old doll all banged up for twice what you paid to the original company brand new and complete), choosing another company that's legit would mean FL lost a sale. Simple logic here.

Only case for FL not to loose such sale it's if (for example) a person it's going to buy a MNF chloe, but then changes it's mind about the MNF model and purchase another MNF, like a mika.

3) Again, if a person goes to buy a recast MNF chloe, FL didn't lost a sale. Here's why, people who will not buy a legit:

- people who can't afford the original. And yes, some people it's not rich, or struggle with a financial situation (ALL their lives! who would have guessed that some people are just born on a working home and die the same way?!).

And, (because I know you're going to bring it up), YES, poor people deserve "nice things too", even more than wealthy people, because they actually appreciate saving every penny until they can snuggle "a cheap recast" for themselves to help them cope with a life you snobby antis might never understand (unless you're one of the brainwashed newest generations that just wanted to "fit in" somewhere and now think "this is your war" while actually making the rich people dirty work for free).

- people who can't save for 5 years (like you say you did so "everyone can") to ""support the artist"" because they don't have an extra to "save", they just cash in and pay medical bills, rent, food, ... and they're back to square one with no capacity to save a single penny.

- people who want a discontinued doll (or part) no longer sold and oftenly not even sold in any MP secondhand either ("splits" were a snob orders a full set just to get the items they want and sell spare stuff to the meaningless crowd aren't new).

- people who want to be able to actually play with their dolls and not being afraid of touching something that worth more than several internal organs.

- people who want a resin skin color not offered by the company and don't have the guts and cash to go around painting or blushing expensive dolls that WILL have chips of paint constantly falling off, OR, uneven dye on each part of the body (process that, by the way, fades away with time).

- people who just don't want ANY doll, but a SPECIFIC one, and for any previously listed reason, can't get the original. Because, let's face it, in any other context it'll be hilarious if you go buy chocolate chip cookies and another costumer at the store force you to take cinnamon cookies that you don't like just because "you shouldn't buy generic brand cookies, it's taking money out the original manufacturer! YOU MONSTER!" (🤣).

(and I could go on all day long, like artist who don't ship to the place you're from, small waiting lists that you never can get into for years, horrible quality issues with legit original dolls that the seller doesn't want to fix, or will only fix if you cover shipping back and forth, irrational waiting periods of time from 3 to over 8 months to sometimes a year+, and more)

So yeah, plenty of reasons to buy recast.

4) "the main issue with people buying recast" it's not about companies or artist, it's about old fandom crew brainwashing new members into their benefit.

I was there when you, hating elitists snobs pro artist sc*ms , told people who didn't got a Volks that "it wasn't a real BJD", I was there when you called "Dorito fingers" to people just because you mean to be evil at them, or "cheap bastards" to the ones who couldn't buy imported clothes from japan, I was there as you called "hobo doll" to a resinsoul doll because the owner only got her a ""sock dress"" and ""the fussy cheap fur wig"", I was there when it was NEARLY ILLEGAL according to "the doll police" to make a legit hybrid with one head from a company and a body from another (and this was a perfect solution for people who couldn't pay the full doll, so they got the legit head of their grail and a cheaper legit body, but for the ""now called pro artist"" this was TRAVESTY!), I was there when CustomHouse and BrownieFelix, original companies with ""loving artists"" took money in advance and banished never delivering a thing, I was there when the now "conveniently banished" topic on DeanOfAngels was how the owner of legit BrownieFelix Doll declared bankruptcy after two years of taking order and not shipping a thing for then to sell the company TO HIS EX WIFE who legally didn't had to own any of the mess!, I was there when DeanOfAngels decided it was OK to exclude 5stardoll "aiden" because "it didn't had a defined nose bridge" according to snob admins (or other dolls, for reasons like "the high heels part doesn't have a joint in the ankle"), but DolfieDream wasn't even made of resin and still wasn't banned as "off topic" just because it was Volks.

I was there for ALL your sh$#@&$* and you, you guys, where blaming people who got a doll from a legit original artist or company long before recast were a thing. So own your actions, all of it, not just "the convenient part".

You push people around for a decade at least, telling that big obitsus aren't real BJDs because they're made of vinyl and "not resin", but Volks DolfieDream was fine "because VOLKS". You trashed (constantly for years) people who couldn't get an expensive brand name, marking them as "inferior", excluding them from your meetups and reunions, insulting them even if they owned legit, or ignoring them if they just didn't got the doll yet and were still saving for it, just because they had a resinsoul, a lostangel (now it's mirodoll), or a bobobie, you, YOU, told people in front of me that they would NEVER be ""part of the hobby"" because it was a hobby ONLY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO COULD AFFORD IT (rich people like you consider yourself), ...and then you give me a lecture on moral because karma hit your back door and EVERYONE can have the doll they want?!

And you know the funniest thing?

Recast weren't even made or sold back then, and you were still trying to put a "I'm better than you" difference between people who could pay $1500 upfront and people who could only pay $300 tops. FROM LEGIT ORIGINAL COMPANIES.

I wanted to buy legit from Volks and asked for help on fb BJD Addicts and all I got was a girl named Alice October insulting me just in case I ever got a recast. Seriously WTF. You are planing to insult people out into purchasing legit even if they're there asking for actual help on buying legit? how does that even work? I want to buy legit and I'm getting more help from pro recast and neutral people than the actual pro artist. Lesson learned, you guys are all dicks and I'll find help elsewhere.

We might be able to help you a bit on this one Anon. If you want a recast, then is one thing (s/l it’s having a big sale right now and they’re available anytime with shipping everywhere), but if you want a legit Volks (considering how exclusive and “buy if you can” attitude this specific brand has) then you need to have a Japanese address for them to ship the doll (if you don’t live in Japan you can use a friend or family address, or some other service to receive the doll and ship it back to you, like ”WeBuyJapan“, ”JapanBuyingAgent“, ”PersonalShopperJapan“, or ”BuySmartJapan“ to name a few, they will charge a fee but you will get the doll). To buy directly from Volks (unless you’re looking for a specific Dolpa SD or LE), the “Online Full Choice System“ opens during some days at the beginning of every month (if I’m correct), so it’s not like you can buy a regular standard FCS doll anytime in the month but need to keep your eyes open for when Volks wants to receive the orders at the beginning of each month. If you keep sharp and check often you’ll eventually be able to buy directly from them, ship to a japanese address and then to your country of residence. Fees will be added but you will get your doll for sure.

I know there is a lot of worry about not only second hand prices but also how the doll is in general terms of stains and broken or missing items and how disturbing the us 2nd hand marketplaces can be when it comes to Volks, but you can buy 2nd hand in a different way, like, for instance, using “DollfieWorld“ (their items are used but they are %99 percent sure to be legit from volks and in most cases they have stock and it’s in a pretty good to almost brand new condition unless specified on the listing); Other option it’s Volks Japan official retailer “Mandarake“ (they don’t only have a lot of stores around Japan, but also a website to ship internationally), items are also 2nd hand but it’s like a “japanese 2nd hand” (almost like new unless some specific cases they take a hundred pictures on one stain at the bottom of the feet). “Mandarake“it’s very reliable (Volks even promote their stores on their official promo videos), and from all the options, the one I recommend you the most (unless you absolutely want to buy from Volks website and the item to be absolutely %100 percent brand new).

And finally, yes (as you so eloquently put it), most BJD addictsmembers “are dicks” (specially to newbs or people that might not post often and asks for their help). “Pro artist” spaces (as you call them, we call then antirecast) are in most cases toxic communities filled with paranoia and ignorance that do little to nothing to welcome anyone in. If I can give you any advice Anon, it will be “stay away from them”. Chances are even if you buy only legit all the time they will find the way to blame you for owning a recast at some point just because they’re paranoid (even if you are against recast and never have one).

I'm new to the hobby and found a cheap doll on eBay & I didn't know it would be a recast. My parents got me her for Christmas and I can't help but feel a little bad because like ??? it's not real and I'll get so much shit for it but at the same time my parents spend a lot of money (90.00) on her so :( what do i do ??? help ??

First of all Anon, you shouldn’t feel bad, either if you decide to beprorecast or antirecast (“pro artist”), you didn’t knew. It was an honestmistake, and whoever can’t (or doesn’t want to) understand it; it’s theirproblem, not yours. Second of all, that doll is real (as real as any legit). The only things youwon’t get are the company box, and a set of papers. Have a lot of legits myself and never usethe boxes or the COAs (“Certificates Of Authenticity”) and the other papers. IfI need to know something about my doll I just google it (if you are afraid ofscrew her up, ask and we will advice you). So it’s not like you’re getting aBarbie “as a bjd”, you are getting a real ball jointed resin doll. It’s arecast?, yes. But that doesn’t make it any less real. If you like it, and if youlove it, that’s the only thing that actually matters.

You won’t get “so much shit for it” if you stay on recast friendly places.Fortunately we are almost entering a new year, and it’s almost 2018. By nowthere are countless recast friendly communities where you can share, interact,talk and socialize with other pro recast people, that, if you stay out the “legitonly” elitist circles, you should be completely fine to enjoy the hobby. There are also a lot of other places you can open anaccount for your doll, from Instagram to Tumblr or Flickr (if you likephotography, even if you use your cellphone camera you can get cool pictureswithout spending a lot of money). Just make sure you are on recast friendly or “prorecast” spaces, and if anyone is giving you a hard time online, block them andignore them.

You said it yourself; your parents spend a lot of money on her, be happy andgrateful, they are your parents and they spent that money because they love youand want to make you happy. Give your doll a chance to have a caring and lovinghome, and your parents to see that their efforts where good. Many antirecast (“proartist”) will tell you to tell your parents that you realize “this doll is shit”and that you should burn or destroy or throw her away because “it’s garbage”. They are absolutelyinsane from a normal human point of view. Don’t even hang with, or hearthese people “advice”. If you pick her up from hundreds of listings on eBay itwas because you loved that doll, so do just that, receive it and love her. More of a question. I love my recasts but want to have at least one that comes from its original company. I stumbled upon some really cheap ones from a shop named Mudoll BJD on TaoBao and first thought they must recasts, but then saw they were shipped from Korea, the higher shipping cost being one evidence for that . What's strange is that they're much cheaper on TaoBao than on their website. Could they be impersonating an already existing company? Is this a possible Chinese practice?

Yes Anon, they are legit, they’re not “impersonating an already existing company”. MuDoll (Glib) it’s a bit shady as a legit company (they are producing the FelixDoll “Brownies”, and even if FelixDoll is a, now defunct company, we all remember far too well when they declare bankruptcy in 2010, after months of taking the money of so many legit loyal costumers, and then the company changed it’s name and was owned by the wife of the previous owner, leading to the obvious conclusion that they declare bankruptcy just to legally keep thousands of thousands of dollars and deliver absolutely nothing to their costumers in a time where there was little to no protection for any payment made pass 30 days), and I will advice you to buy from other legit sites, if you want to buy legit and cheap (there are a lot of other options), but yes, they are legit.

The thing about TaoBao it’s that they don’t sell outside China (and Asia in general terms). So if you don’t live there (or have some relative that can buy stuff for you and then ship it outside to your country), you might browse their web and think “it’s cheaper”, but the prices are only for the internal asian market, for you, a western outsider (I presume), prices are higher. If you want to buy from TaoBao you will need a middleman, an agent, a service that will charge you a fee (like TaoBao Trends or TaoBao Ring), and that extra fee will be most likely the difference you’re saving by buying from TaoBao so it’s the same if you buy straight from the company website (made for western costumers).

Historically, the difference between the price listed on the Korean and Chinese or Japanese version of a site, and the price on US dollars for international costumers, has being and issue. There was a point in the bjd history when many sites had a difference from up to +%50 on their western websites. Elitists (now proartists or antirecasts, as you want to call them) let them get away with it for far too long adducing all sort of reasons that could never be proven beyond what someone said on a forum, but eventually, the rest of the people push them so hard to explain their prices and why there was a difference, that many companies (that are well known, from DollZone to Volks) had to made the so called “adjustment in the price exchange rate”, and using the same price on all versions of their websites (or lower the difference at not more than %5 percent from the original internal asian price).

You are not going to find this info anywhere else, the only ones who know about are the ones who were there when it happened. There was little to no information about bjds at the time, there was no social networks or blogs outside asia, no facebook groups or smartphones, only DOA (Dean of Angels) and they made damn well sure to delete all this information from their forum to keep the appearance that “all legit websites are angels born without a single sin” and recasters or recast owners are the real devils in this hobby.

So buy smart and safe Anon, don’t rush it just to get a better price on a legit, sometimes you actually do need to know a bit of history to know what sites to avoid, even if MuDollhas no reports right now about any bad behavior towards their costumers (not that antis will let us know anyway), neither did FelixDoll prior the day they declare bankruptcy all of the sudden. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but most reliable company for legit cheap options it’s still ResinSoul, for a list of other cheap legit companies read this post.

Thing is, as we saw with the “SPPOD” (resin-in-my-lungs) drama about her wanting to push her ~now new discovered anti recast “opinions”~ down everyone throats, even when she wasn’t asked, and disregarding the forum rules as if they don’t apply to her. Then Pro recast forums try to be more careful when they let people in that what they used to be a few years back… too many antis go there (to suffer maybe?) and make a huge drama out of “finding pro recast people enjoying the hobby on pro recast forums with their recast dolls” (what a shock right?), so you have 3 mayor well know forums that I’ll list for you and hope the other admin doesn’t gets mad because “C” actually thinks one of this forums it’s “evil” but I’ve being there for some time and even trough it’s a “new forum” I don’t see anything “bad” with it so let’s begin:

1 - CastawayDolls : This might be the oldest of all recast friendly forums out there, I don’t know how’re they doing with registrations and such, but it’s a classic among recast and other dolls owners since they embrace almost every type of doll even the ones considered “off topic” on DOA (by the way, if you have recasts, don’t apply for DeanOfAngels, they’re absolutely antirecast, besides most times they don’t let you in unless it’s by invitation only).

2 - RecastBJDhaven : You can apply there, maybe someone will see the application and just give you “the approve”. But I’ve heard it’s under some sort of maintenance period because Judy (ResinMuse) it’s having some real life things to deal with and it’s not updating so most people there are moving to…

3 - RecastSanctuary : ..this is very brand new, came out this year in response of “RecastBJDhaven“ apparently “closing up”. So you might call it like ““RecastBJDhaven 2.0″. Some (like Admin C) have their reservations about it and don’t think it’s a “real forum”, but more like a “trap” to get newbies and tag them as prorecast to exclude from other forums. truth is I’ve being there for months and yet haven’t see anything “weird” so if you sign in and want to be extra careful just in case make a separate username and separate email for this forum and join and don’t share any personal data unless you’re convince it’s cool.

bjdconfessions should change it's name to antirecastbjdconfessions... it's depressing how much antirecast confessions you find there and when you actually find a good prorecast confession there is a list of 80 people insulting the confessor because "whathefuckrecasts" (at least they got the name right).

I've sent you guys a number of confessions, about how I honestly think that the anti recast ranting and preaching for head pats is gross, not to mention obvious af. And how I honest to god don't care what other people do with their doll money. But you guys don't post them. Why even have this blog if you won't post people's actual venting confessions?

Hello Anonymous, this situation have been addressed before many, many times. Your confessions will be posted. If they got to us, they will be posted, eventually. Since we are a prorecast blog we get a lot (seriously, a lot) of hate in between real confessions. So we can’t use Queue or anything other blogs use (they tend to put all automatic and then, if drama gets too high and people are insulting and killing each other, they step in and delete the confession, we try to keep it as cool as we can and as friendly as we can, but that takes time), we have to read carefully one by one every submission to make sure it’s “prorecast” and not just a lot of camouflaged (or sometimes direct) insults some antirecast sent us. Many confessions are sent “off anon” and we have to resubmit them in anon mode to preserve the owners identity (unless it’s a well know prorecast that has being out for years, sometimes in a moment of anger some people might want to disclose their identities and then regret it, so we post on anon and we give them the chance to say who they are on the comments if they still wish to). We said many times that we where going to post in random order. If we got mixed confessions that where left behind (since we have to do it all manually and it’s very time consuming and we have a life) Admin C and myself post randomly. This doesn’t mean we have something “against you”, we don’t even know you, and surely your confessions will be posted in a few days, or maybe tomorrow, there is no way to know, we handpick randomly, verify it’s prorecast and summit, usually it’s one or two from above, and one from the top of the list. The only confessions we try to post sooner are the ones containing events or sales from stores (or even news) if, and only if, we see them, so other members can enjoy the news or sale price, but that are the only two times we might actually pic a confession “because it says this or that specific thing”. The rest of the times it’s random and we assure you it’s not personal. We hope you are kind enough to understand this.
