Beck - ODELAY

Once I first heard the music of beck, I was immediately struck by how colorful, smart, and fun it sounded. His half serious, off-kilter, delivery, and unorthodox approach to folk-ish lyrics had me immediately hooked. So much of what makes this album good is the result of sample Gods The dust Brothers. They do an immaculate job bringing Beck Hansen's scrappy patchwork quilt of genres to galvanized life. Repurposeing different genres, styles, words, and sounds that, despite all their differences, work to make an incredibly satisfying whole. There's so much going on here. Even if you might not get it at first glance.
