I hate gender. I never want to hear the word again. It’s all so meaningless and boring and has turned from a synonym of sex to a feminist concept to something the most boring, self obsessed people pontificate over. Recently we've had Rowling comparing the LGBTQ to Nazis, Grover suggesting that the LGBTQ are benefitting from Nazis, and Hitchens claiming that the Nazis were left-wing.

If you or anyone believes that the Nazi's - who oppressed, imprisoned and murdered trade unionists, socialists, and communists - was socialist because the party called itself socialist and borrowed a few trappings in order to fool the public: then congratulations, you are an idiot or worse who is still falling for Nazi propaganda 78 years after Hitler shot himself. You are probably a Nazi now, and certainly would have been back then.

If you or anyone are trying to compare trans people or any of the LGBTQ+ with the Nazis when they/we defend ourselves, then you are engaging in mirror politics to excuse and distract from your own actual agenda of hate, oppression, and death.

And to imply - as some terfs apparently are - that trans activists are in a sense benefiting from the reaction to increasing far-right involvement (supposedly but clearly not unwelcome) in radical anti-trans feminism... is such a convoluted, desperate, and shameful attempt to distance publicly from the toxic stench of your own fascism - and blame your victims.

The original Nazis persecuted, imprisoned, and murdered nearly any LGBTQ+ they could find. And today's Far-Right, political or religious, are clearly no better.

Magnus Hirschfeld's Institute for Sexual Research in Berlin (which included the world's first trans clinic) was raided by the Nazis in 1933, and its vast collections of books and research torched in the largest (and among the earliest) of the book burnings. Trans people were sent to the death camps. Magnus Hirschfeld (who was himself gay and Jewish) was out of the country at the time, and never returned, sadly dying of a stroke in 1935.

This is not opinion, it is fact, for which there is so much evidence both past and present that it beggars belief that I'm having to write such as this in 2023. But people enjoy cherry picking facts and using them grossly out of context - or just make up nonsense altogether - to feed to the ignorant, the gullible and the hateful.

Anyone believing in or repeating such misinformation and outright lies must be challenged if it is a product of ignorance. If however they persist then they must be dealt with by any means necessary. Peoples wellbeing and lives depend on it.

Joanna Cherry is a vindictive terf

I am putting myself at risk by saying this - joanna cherry is extremely well known for her litigious and anti trans behaviour; she is a master at manipulating the legal system to her advantage. --- i was already being stalked and harassed online and in person but i didn't realise how high up it went. part of the initial evidence pack was an affidavit admitting to and detailing stalking my account and uncovering my home address: written by one of the co-founders of "for women scotland" - an anti trans hate group. this person then forwarded my tweet to joanna cherry - though in open court she offered several explanations as to how it "could" have fell in her lap, claiming to have forgotten. i was depressed and suicidal - before, during, and in the aftermath - and this was well known, i was open about it on my socials and with the police medical examiner. i was told by my lawyer that normally a case like this would not be perused but, because of joanna cherry's influence, the case could not be dropped. today is the two year anniversary of the raid. two weeks ago i finally got my stuff back - 8 months ago i was acquitted. i have been harassed, constantly, by anti trans activists for years; after i gave my first not guilty plea, joanna cherry took to twitter and called me a man. i have been traumatised by her and her followers. joanna cherry is a vindictive, machiavellian bigot - a transphobe who used me as a pawn against the trans community which i am part of. she is running for reelection this year. her district is edinburgh south west.

Reminder to everyone that she is a vile person and a terf. I'll compile a couple of the more prominent things she's done, and put in a couple of articles and other various things out here. This was recently posted by a twitter account called "LBGwiththeT" which is a trans-positive counterpart to the anti-trans "LGBwithouttheT" accounts and movement. There is an extreme amount of rowling fans dickriding her and trying to spin it into "but this is not transphobic, there is no context" or just people being transphobic in general. it is normal to see rowling's fans raid various posts calling out her behavior in denial, and it's not surprising.

one of the books posted under her pseudonym robert galbraith "troubled blood" in which the culprit is a "male in a woman's dress", which has a lot of context considering the book came out in 2020, years after she started her transphobic remarks which the connection wasn't missed, either by critics or reviewers.

She is still and always was a vile human being: a bigot of various colors. This post just presents the transphobia, and it doesn't even include the harmful racist names she gives her characters in her books or the racist allegories and jewish caricatures in harry potter series alone. Or the fact that some of her transphobic ideas harm not just trans women.

honestly it's nothing that isn't pretty much covered by "i'm here i'm queer get used to it" or looking at the political stuff i do reblog. brief summary being i'm nb, aspec, anti-terf, anti-swerf, anti-cop, and anti-harassment. longer summary: I do my best to be an ally to jewish and muslim folk, but i am very under-educated in that area. same applies to mental illnesses. i was around during The Ace Raids(period of tumblr history where the site went extremely anti-ace for, at the time, no discernable reason. now we know it was general anti-queer getting its hooks in early.) and i watched the birth of the mogai community and the bi v pan debate. as a result my attitude towards identity is "you're the expert, just use whatever label suits you best and i'll believe you about it". i respect older/"outdated" identities and do my best to learn about queer history and incorporate that knowledge into my views. i can get kind of anti-christian at times due to the general trauma of living in the united states and watching "religious belief" become the excuse for massive levels of abuse and control, but i do respect people who use that belief to help people and push positive change. i view Missionary Work(i.e. going to another location and doing charity specifically to spread the word of your religion, like the god damn mormons are constantly doing) as inherently colonization and fundamentally do not understand people who consider it to be a good deed. i am against arranged marriage, but respectful to those who are comfortable in theirs. I support poly marriage(i am poly myself), and i think we need to severely change how disability aid is handled so that disabled people can marry who they want without losing their coverage and don't have to literally count pennies to make sure they're not over an insanely low limit. i can get kind of loud about intersex people's existence and rights. I support landback, but i am under-educated in native issues. I consider neurodivergency a positive thing, but i also acknowledge it as a disability. i consider the political lesbians of the 1960s to have been infiltrates and traitors, as their beliefs were foundational to modern TERF rhetoric. I don't have a DNI(if some asshole decides to follow me they're gonna see exactly what i think about them very quickly, and if they stick around anyways, maybe something i post will shake their beliefs a little), but TERFs, SWERFs, nazis and MAGAs get blocked on sight. harassment will also be blocked and reported. I am a strong believer in online anonymity; i don't think it's wise to share your age, sex, race or location unless it's something you WANT people to be aware of. I also don't think it's a good idea to share your face, but i don't harp on people who do make that choice unless they're underaged(and even then it's gonna be a very light 'hey maybe this is a bad idea'). double points on location, stop telling people where you live. that should NEVER have been normalized.

Its pretty clear having one group set on acting as security and showing up with radios leads to some fucked up dynamics. Why ask the people near you if they can when you can hit a radio button. Sure radios helped with hearing reports from scouts and lookouts, but most of the chatter was people playing security against others. Take a shot every time someone says “deescalate” into one of those things.

The occupation ended when cops sent in a SWAT team to strategically raid the library. An elevator had been ineffectively sabotaged and the basement had been barricaded short of the tunnel to an adjacent building. What PPB has said is the first floor staircase had been barricaded shut and was the hardest to get past. After that, oil and wet paint coated the floors, and trip wires had been set up. They allege people were holding shields and they were sprayed with a fire extinguisher before people left the occupation. We know cops lie and the people in the library that morning can never tell their story.

How many university occupations are there going to be? We’ve seen Berkeley Free speech, Anti Vietnam War, the 1970s CUNY trans and queer occupation, 2008-10, etc. No matter what is happening, we know what side the universities are on. Fuck a less shitty university via demands. The university system must be destroyed.

35,000 people killed. 78,000 wounded in Gaza. Countless more mourning their loved ones. Its difficult to think on this scale. The attack on Rafah is beginning. Don’t stop because the spectacular protest event ended.

Let me start by saying that I am a mostly-white CIS gender male hetero in his mid 30s. Let that color how you feel about my words however much or as little as you wish. Thats up to you.

Let me start by saying fuck JK. I can’t imagine winning the lottery of life and getting to be the creative mind behind a fictional world that shapes and enriches the lives of a generation, only to take that power and wield it for hate and bigotry. She deserves to have her works and name forgotten and to have only the void to speak her words into.

And with that in mind Harry Potter as a franchise is dead to me. I don’t want to play that game. I don’t want to rewatch the movies. I don’t want to read her books.

Let me be clear this is not a big ask of me. Harry Potter was never more than a passing fancy of mine from time to time growing up. Don’t give me too much credit. I don’t know that I’d be as easily able to divorce myself from something like Final Fantasy or Sonic the Hedgehog or StarGate.

I don’t think you should play the new HP game. I don’t think you should buy it. I don’t think you should stream it. Even if you try to offset that by donating to Trans causes you’re still promoting the game and could encourage others to buy it by showing it off. Funding a fire department is nobel, but don’t do it in a way that fuels the fire in the process.

There are plenty of people who don’t care. They buy the game and support JK BECAUSE of her anti trans stance. Fuck those people. I hope their follower counts crater their names forgotten. I’m sure a lot of you agree with me so far.

But what we hope isn’t happening. JK is still making bank. The hateful streamers are bolstered. The game is selling remarkably well. This is frustrating. Aggravating. Infuriating. In the face of these we feel helpless. We get angry. And unfortunately we lash out.

I have control issues I have to keep in check. I know the feeling of something big or small not being as I wish it to be. I often battle that white hot rage. Losing my absolute shit over things is something I actively have to talk myself out of more often than I like to admit.

And let me tell you. Not once has letting that anger get the best of me ever made things better. Not once did it fix the problem. Not once did it change things to be better. At best it does nothing. At worst it almost cost me my closest friends.

That’s the reaction I’ve seen to the new HP game. Steamers hate raided. Death threats. Verbally harassed and demonized. Treated not like people but like soulless heartless monsters to be destroyed. This is wrong and fixes nothing. It’s just us letting our darker emotions lash out without restraint.

No hearts are changed. No minds are changed. Trans people are not made more safe by these actions. I don’t think we expect these actions to do any of that but when you scream in rage “you are with us or against us” people rarely choose with you and are often pushed to against you. These actions do harm to our own cause.

You can’t tell me that a streamer hoping to raise money for Trans charities by playing this game is the same as the ones who proudly write “TERF” on their chest. I’ve already made it clear that I don’t think that idea is a good one. But you can’t tell me someone whose heart is in the right place deserves hate because you don’t agree with their methods.

And maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it is better to raise money off this game for a good cause. Maybe that will do more good. I honestly don’t think so but how the hell can I be so sure? How can I run out and try to police the internet using my hate as a weapon over something that kind hearts can disagree on?

Now if you want to unfollow these steamers, stop supporting them, swear off their content, you are 100% justified in doing so. They are not owed your support if they make decisions that are counter to your values, even if their heart is in the right place. Let them see the consequences of their choice in viewer and follower count.

That is far more likely to get them to stop and rethink about what they are doing. But attacking them? At best they may stop making content because they can’t emotionally deal with backlash. At worst you’ve made them feel like your enemy. And people crave community. And the TERFS will welcome them with open arms.

But I get it. I’m sure we all hoped that any streamer who played this game would see their viewer count plummet and they’d get the message and change and the game would flop and JK would watch another part of her empire crumble as a result of her words and actions. That didn’t happen and we, understandably, got mad. But don’t let your anger make things worse.

TLDR: Fuck JK. Fuck HP. Fuck that game. But don’t attack people for playing it. Just unfollow.

A leftist man who points the finger at women is discovered to be abusing children.

A teacher in Hawaii is facing charges of distributing child sexual exploitation material, some of which he admitted was created through his own abuse of a 13-year-old boy.

Alden Bunag, 34, who was a substitute high school teacher in Oahu, reportedly committed the crimes from November 2019 through October 2021. Federal investigators became aware of Bunag after receiving a CyperTip report in July of 2021. The report had initially led them to a school teacher in Philadelphia who had allegedly uploaded child sexual abuse material to the internet.

According to local KHON2 news, FBI agents raided the Philadelphia teacher’s home and seized his electronic devices. A search of his phone ultimately uncovered over 3,400 communications with Bunag, some of which included exploitative content. 

A further scan of the devices also uncovered three videos showing an adult man and a minor boy engaged in sex acts, six non-explicit photos of Bunang’s students, and three Japanese animation-style pictures.

On June 15, the FBI served a search warrant at Bunag’s home in Honolulu. Bunag complied with investigators and gave a voluntary interview during which time he admitted to “having sex” with a 13-year-old boy, one of his former students, which he recorded. He also told investigators that he sent the video to the Philadelphia teacher and others using the messaging app Telegram.

Bunag told FBI agents he had distributed other child sexual abuse material involving other minors. He was arrested following the interview on one complaint of distribution of child pornography.

While the charges are disturbing on their own, Bunag is a hot topic on social media today after sleuths uncovered his Twitter account where he very recently engaged in a heated debate on child welfare and LGBTQ education in schools.

On April 2, Bunag began arguing with a another user in the reply section of a tweet by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Rowling had uploaded a screenshot of an abusive comment she had received in response to a post she’d made featuring a Tavistock whistleblower expressing concerns about the transitioning of vulnerable minors.

Bunag began responding to one of the commenters in Rowling’s replies, and the two exchanged charged messages for a few days. Bunag called Rowling a “hateful TERF,” and suggested she was a fascist for “propping up anti-trans bigots and businesses.”

The debate culminated in Bunag accusing the other user of being a pedophile for having reservations about teaching children about issues surrounding sexuality and gender identity in schools.

During the discussion, Bunag vehemently opposed Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Bill, stating that it “didn’t protect kids” and would make children intolerant of people’s differences.

“You have yet to demonstrate why teaching kids basic sex ed and discussing gender/sexuality with them is “grooming” while I’ve repeatedly explained why. Don’t tell me to f*cking Google anything, this is also why no one should take you guys seriously, you can NEVER back shit up,” Bunag wrote.

“You’re f*cking acting like we want to show kids porn or something, but something I’ve learned through the years is that whenever right-wingers accuse others of something, it’s DEFINITELY because they’re projecting.”

Bunag also engaged with Humanist Report host Mike Figueredo during the exchange, who had quote-retweeted the user Bunag was arguing with after he posted a screenshot of Figueredo tweeting an abusive message at J.K. Rowling. 

“Then of course he does the fascist pivot of jumping to accusations of pedophilia because children being abused seems to always be on their minds,” Bunag wrote under Figeuredo’s tweet, in which the podcaster defended his tirade against the Harry Potter author.

Bunag made his initial court appearance on Thursday, June 16. He has a detention hearing set for June 21 and a preliminary hearing on June 27.

In light of the evolving charges against him, many social media users are mockingly circulating posts from Bunag’s recent Twitter history. Bunag was active on Twitter until the day before his arrest, with his last post being a mocking jeer at transgender YouTuber commentator Blaire White for being ‘self-hating.’

@DefiantLs, a humorous account that juxtaposes hypocritical twists in people’s logic or ideology, placed Bunag’s tweet accusing another user of being a pedophile against the announcement of his arrest in a viral tweet that wracked up over 52,000 ‘likes’ overnight.

Bunag’s Instagram appears to have primarily been used as a catalogue of his photography, most of which featured local students and youth in his area.

I miss the late 2000s/early 2010s of the internet, because LGBTQ+ content suddenly exploded and everything seemed to be getting so much better so quickly for all of us. I discovered trans youtubers and started happily daydreaming about the day that maybe I would get to start hormones and get The Surgery and just be happy in the lanky, skinny body that everyone perceived as male. Something about that era of social media was a massive comfort for someone who’d spent their entire life up to that point wondering why they weren’t ‘normal’. And then the US legalized gay marriage, and I felt like there was no way the momentum would stop!

But then it did. Suddenly, progress came to a loud, angry, screeching halt. LGBTQ+ content didn’t really change as time moved on, everyone gained this blasé attitude of “We won marriage, we’re all done here!”, and we just… stopped???? And then the train started going backwards.

The community has always been splintered, it’s always felt cliquish. To say it has always been this angelic, heavenly place to exist would be a lie. It was never a great community for people of color, and especially not for trans people of color. It has always been very white-centric, and you can see that as far back as Stonewall.

Gay marriage was legalized in the US in 2015. In 2016, JK Rowling started her unwarranted, obsessive assault on trans people (and she’s been getting worse and worse and worse - I’m starting to think she’s going senile or something). There are factions of our community puttering off to create smaller groups that are made up primarily of cishet neo-nazis and Christian extremists. And now, in 2022, all of our rights are up in the air, not just marriage; it’s a very real, very terrifying fact that anti-sodomy and anti-crossdressing laws could be reinstated. We very well could end up living our lives the way they did back before Stonewall: hiding out in dive bars, late into the night, praying that there won’t be a police raid, marrying people we don’t love because we’re not allowed to be ourselves, watching our fellow LGBTQ+ people (especially LGBTQ+ youth) fall victim to despair and depression. There will be more Layla Alcorns, begging the world to change before they take their own life because they’d rather be dead than live a life forced upon them by bigots.

I miss those years because there was hope.

There is no hope right now. Fuck, I can already guarantee that, if this ever gains any traction, TERFs will fill the comments with anti-trans rhetoric, because they would rather eradicate all LGBTQ+ children than allow one trans child to live in peace.
