Woke: The government is broken so don't spend energy on it

Broke: You just didn't try hard enough

Realistic: The government is systemically corrupt on most levels due to a 100 year campaign by corporate interests to pick it apart. Most media you see is propaganda, most opposition is controlled or so small it can't effect anything other than incremental change. However... If you stop trying completely in government, corporations will gain even more power. So it is important to have opposition within political systems and understand that is not where real change is made. And to continue to find new ways outside of that system to push for and create change. And then when you are able to do this, you are able to continue to use the other political power in your favor that has been built, growing it until it is a large and positive force.

I really am tired of middle class liberals telling oppressed people to keep following the rules and engaging in an abusive and deceptive system though. That's just delusional.
