Sorry to bring haterism/pettiness so early in the morning, but I Saw Something and had Thoughts.

The poly shipping of buddietommy baffles me more than bucktommy. What is that man adding to their relationship other than a third dick? Those two have been fulfilling all of each other's needs (other than sexual) for 6 years. They are so wrapped up in each other they are going to forget any person other than Chris.

yeah its literally just that 😭 no hate to people who like poly ships etc but its just that in this case

also if im being honest at 9 am in the morning rn. i think if a threesome were a Situation To Occur (tm) buck would rather murder tommy than let him touch eddie (or any other third party tbh) and itd just get so awkward so fast 😭

The buddietommy married vibes were through the roof in 8.05

Eddie and Tommy being the ones to be with Buck after his accident - Eddie, the long-suffering husband who knows his idiot and isn't even concerned (he's just there for moral support) and Tommy, the concerned boyfriend who is getting a taste of how accident prone Buck is

Their reactions to Buck's "curse" ramblings - Eddie, who's heard it all already and is not surprised that Buck believes in it, and Tommy, who's just finding out just how much of an idiot his boyfriend can be (and the two of them bonding over laughing at Buck)

Tommy telling Buck not to pick his skin, Buck saying he wasn't picking and Eddie confirming that he was (Buck got tag teamed by his husbands)

Actually, I just realized these scenes all subtly show that Eddie has been there longer. Tommy is always the one entering the situation and Eddie is the one who already knows because he's been there a while

And then there's also Tommy doting on Buck like a concerned boyfriend while Eddie is the one making bets and making light of the situation

Not sure if they're trying to show the difference between Eddie and Tommy as "husband vs boyfriend" or "best friend vs boyfriend" but it definitely feels like a comparison is there

And I'm pretty sure we got roughly equal amounts of screen time for buddie and bucktommy as well

I thought maybe I could dream a bit and this could be throuple foreshadowing (with Tommy and Eddie bonding over being Buck's partners) but it's looking more and more like a comparison between Buddie and Bucktommy where both are equally valid but fundamentally different

Either way it was beautiful and those three have a hilarious dynamic that I need more of

Okay, since I haven't really shared my thoughts on Buddie here yet. I thought I would share them, not for any particular reason, mostly just so I can get them out of my head. I will also briefly talk about my queer Eddie headcanons.

Okay, let's start with Eddie. Look, I would say that that man is gay, but the way he reacted when he first met Ana was not very homosexual of him. So based on how he acts in canon, I either think he's aromantic bisexual, or homoromantic bisexual (which is rare, but does happen). Personally I'm leaning more toward homoromantic (maybe that's just because I ship him with the hot priest), but I keep aromantic around for funsies.

Anyway, now I'm going to talk about Buddie. I don't ship it. I don't hate the ship, I totally get why people want them together, but I went into the show knowing about Buddie and expecting I would also ship it just for me to not. I tried to ship it, but I never really got into it. When Eddie was first introduced it felt like it could go the romantic way, but then their relationship settled into friendship, and that's all their relationship felt like to me, friendship. I mean, I would joke that they should just kiss already, but not because I actively wanted them together, but because I like drama. I know there are things that aren't typically seen as a friends thing, but a romantic partner thing, that they do. But I kind of loved that Buck and Eddie were doing all these non-traditional things together because they were friends, and that's just how their relationship is. Anyway, I was trying to be in support of Buddie maybe eventually going canon for a while, because I know how much it would mean to other people. But once we were reintroduced to Tommy, all that went flying out the window. Because Buck and Tommy's relationship were giving all the things I felt like I supposed to be feeling about Buddie. I know polyamory is a thing, I think it's great that people ship Buddietommy, but I don't personally have a lot of polyamorous ships, just because I always end up shipping one couple in the trio more than the others, and that doesn't seem fair to the third person. Anyway, I think Buddie got permanently ruined for me after Bucktommy, and especially after how a lot of Buddie fans treated Lou and that relationship. And I know that's not all Buddie fans, I am not judging a whole based on a fraction. I still think Buddie is a good and valid ship, it just isn't for me.

If I had to see this then you need to also. The spies were right about Christopher's three dads. Just saw a long essay and fic basically saying Tommy should snap at Chris. Start texting him to tell him how wrong he is and that he wished he had a father half as good as Eddie. Then Eddie would be grateful he got him home. And excuse me what???? I'm sorry but none of that is any of Tommy's business. And snap at Chris? Yeah that's not ending well with you on the Buddie front. Seriously what weirdos.

Because would SO be grateful for someone talking away Chris agency in the situation WHEN THE WHOLE THING IS ABOUT CHRIS HAVING AGENCY IN THE SITUATION. Oh dear GOD. I can live with Bucktommy but I need buddietommy to EXPLODE. This doesn't make any sense.

Yaaay is it still 9am pettiness time?? I agree SO hard re: the utter pointlessness of T to buddie. They do not need that man for ANYTHING. they fulfil each other so totally and completely a threesome situation would end before it even began. They are BEST FRIENDS. they don't need him!!! All they need to do is figure out the sex part (google and communication is a thing!), so they don't need him for that either!!

Also Buck murdering T before he could touch eddie is SO real lol. T's muay thai wouldn't save him from buck's sheer feral insane jealousy. Eddie would be like, having to rescue T by distracting buck with kisses so T can escape 😂 awkward and hilarious actually!

Okay in honor of the potential 8x06 date, BuckTommy (or perhaps secret BuddieTommy date 👀 gotta get that GA prepared for a throuple with baby steps)? Would they do costumes on Halloween? If so, separate or couples? What would they be?

i definitely think buck if given the opportunity would enjoy a halloween couples costume and maybe he’s a little clipboard buck with tommy and so tommy simultaneously has hearts eyes and is rolling his eyes as buck is like very excited to be openly dating a guy and doing a queer couples costume

I don't know how likely it is but like my dream costume for buck tommy would be some version of a pride and prejudice/regency era costume (mainly cause im a died hard believer that tommy likes love actually because it has colin firth and hugh grant and i feel like he would love a period piece), which could also work for buddietommy in a like ‘lifelong bachelor’ eddie and his two openly queer best friends (which could mean nothing…).

But it’s hard to tell definitively what they would do for bucktommy, because we don’t necessarily know if Tommy is like pro or anti-Halloween costumes because Chimney’s bachelor party was loaded with a context that everybody knew chimney did not want the party and so while I think its entirely possible he wouldn't want to dress up either way especially when on call, but Tommy might have also spoken to chimney because they are also friends and heard nobody else was dressing up but Eddie and Buck, or he could be like Maddie and be somebody who doesn’t really care to dress up for Halloween.

so I think there’s two options of like couples costumes for buck and Tommy or Tommy and Eddie if both buck and Tommy are into it buck could really commit and therefore like get some really cute couples costume like dressing up as queer icons like I would love a Freddie Mercury, but if Tommy kind of begrudgingly but very affectionately goes along with it because he understands that this is something that enjoys and then like maybe they even kind of like plays on that. Like maybe they could do like Clark Kent and Superman with Buck in the Superman costume and Tommy just Clark Kent which is just a guy in a suit lmao. Or if the show like really wants to like hammer the invisible string theory I think it would be like objectively hilarious if they did like a team Jacob team Edward thing and dress up as a werewolf and vampire respectively without referencing it would be really funny like that or like they do like village people with more generic costumes, which again would be incredible funny especially for me as a buddietommy lover if Eddie once again suggests the costume
