Sorry to bring haterism/pettiness so early in the morning, but I Saw Something and had Thoughts.

The poly shipping of buddietommy baffles me more than bucktommy. What is that man adding to their relationship other than a third dick? Those two have been fulfilling all of each other's needs (other than sexual) for 6 years. They are so wrapped up in each other they are going to forget any person other than Chris.

I'm Inell (she/her/hers). Forties. Ace. I write fanfic, and I've been actively writing in fandoms since 1999. I’m a fandom old for sure! Current fandom: 911 (Buck/Eddie) and Teen Wolf (Stiles).

I am basically a Buddie mono shipper. I have written Buck/Connor, Buck/Tommy, and BuddieTommy since joining the fandom, but my heart belongs to Buddie.

I don’t care what other people ship; I filter things I don’t want to see. I’m very anti-drama in my fandom space. I started writing in BTVS with Willow as my OTC. Then I moved into Harry Potter, where Hermione was my OTC. I dipped my foot into the Star Trek XI fandom, where Kirk/McCoy was my OTP, and Avengers fandom, where I wrote a long Steve/Clint series.

I am currently swimming around in Teen Wolf, where Stiles is my OTC. I have a long crossover series that’s Stiles/Bucky Barnes that I’m updating sporadically. I’ve also done a deep dive into 9-1-1 fandom, where I enjoy writing Buck/Eddie and FireFam.

My Ask is always open if you want to chat. I’ve been around fandoms since the days of posting boards and egroups, into the live journal era, and beyond. My general philosophy is ship and let ship, and not my kink but enjoy yourself. I don’t like drama and hate in my fandom experience. I do block tags, and I try to curate my experience. I have never had a ship I love writing in fandom actually go canon, so I tend to live in the fanon & love it. Now, if my current ship did go canon, I certainly wouldn’t complain! But I won’t stop shipping it regardless.

I like writing happy endings and romance, and I ride the wave of the muse in terms of spamming fic when she's talkative and possibly going days with nothing if she stops talking. I’m always happy to be tagged for fic I might like & I like chatting about fic and fandom.

My Ask is always open! You can prompt me or send me questions/comments on fic/whatever. I can't promise to write every prompt that I receive. I generally don't write M-preg, age regression, adult/baby play, scat, emesis play, necrophilia, rape/non-con, extreme underage, non-consensual adultery/cheating, hardcore BDSM, pain play, humiliation, character death, watersports, sounding, tragedy, dark fic, unhappy endings etc.

someone on twitter who is also on here called the people that stalk her Twitter "beanstalks" and she's also aggressively anti gay!Eddie/Buddie so some people are taking "beanstalk" as a coded way of calling people the anti-hispanic slur "beaners" but I personally think its a stretch but that person is so far outside my circle of BuddieTommy girlies that I simply can’t pass judgement on it.

Reverse unpopular opinion meme: multishipping!

An excuse to expound the virtues of multishipping? Is it Christmas??? Multishipping is GREAT, and I say this as someone who tends to get very OTP-focused and has only really been able to pull it off with Supernatural and now 9-1-1 (where it's...a little touch-and-go), so I know what I'm talking about.

It's good for you! Being invested in conflicting ships forces me to keep an open mind. From an interpretive standpoint, it helps me step back and read more critically (is this really a Destiel moment? where's the line between familial and incestuous? does Eddie still read as gay when I don't need him to get together with Buck?). From a transformative standpoint, the text is more elastic, there's more to play with, I'm more alive to different possibilities.

There's an art to this, but a diversified dash can be a real gift. I got to see Sastiel and Wincest fans claim the second pillow on Sam's bed in s15 with equal fervor. I got to watch Wincesties get mad at Hellers over an incident literally no Destiel blogs were talking about. It gives me a well-rounded perspective on the fandom and the show, plus I feel like a war correspondent bringing back news from the front. If you're careful about who you follow and ruthlessly block every "anti" tag, it can be really fun.

MORE FICS. I'd hate to live in a world where I didn't experience the horrors of both Gnaw and Every Part of the Animal because I refused to read one of the ships.

The part of my brain that wants to reconcile the ships gave me OT3s (Wincestiel and Buddietommy are both sooo good) AND a strong interest in gencest and queerplatonic Buddie (Dean and Cas can get together, but Dean has GOT to stay married to his brother). Polyamory! Non-traditional family units! It's all interesting.

I will add that I'm not equally invested in every ship all the time: post-November 5, there was no room in my life for anything but Destiel, but once I calmed down a little I could start engaging with more Wincest and Sastiel. So I'm trying not to worry about swinging hard toward Bucktommy lately - it doesn't have to mean I've abandoned Buddie, and the fics will still be there when I'm ready.

Okay in honor of the potential 8x06 date, BuckTommy (or perhaps secret BuddieTommy date 👀 gotta get that GA prepared for a throuple with baby steps)? Would they do costumes on Halloween? If so, separate or couples? What would they be?

i definitely think buck if given the opportunity would enjoy a halloween couples costume and maybe he’s a little clipboard buck with tommy and so tommy simultaneously has hearts eyes and is rolling his eyes as buck is like very excited to be openly dating a guy and doing a queer couples costume

I don't know how likely it is but like my dream costume for buck tommy would be some version of a pride and prejudice/regency era costume (mainly cause im a died hard believer that tommy likes love actually because it has colin firth and hugh grant and i feel like he would love a period piece), which could also work for buddietommy in a like ‘lifelong bachelor’ eddie and his two openly queer best friends (which could mean nothing…).

But it’s hard to tell definitively what they would do for bucktommy, because we don’t necessarily know if Tommy is like pro or anti-Halloween costumes because Chimney’s bachelor party was loaded with a context that everybody knew chimney did not want the party and so while I think its entirely possible he wouldn't want to dress up either way especially when on call, but Tommy might have also spoken to chimney because they are also friends and heard nobody else was dressing up but Eddie and Buck, or he could be like Maddie and be somebody who doesn’t really care to dress up for Halloween.

so I think there’s two options of like couples costumes for buck and Tommy or Tommy and Eddie if both buck and Tommy are into it buck could really commit and therefore like get some really cute couples costume like dressing up as queer icons like I would love a Freddie Mercury, but if Tommy kind of begrudgingly but very affectionately goes along with it because he understands that this is something that enjoys and then like maybe they even kind of like plays on that. Like maybe they could do like Clark Kent and Superman with Buck in the Superman costume and Tommy just Clark Kent which is just a guy in a suit lmao. Or if the show like really wants to like hammer the invisible string theory I think it would be like objectively hilarious if they did like a team Jacob team Edward thing and dress up as a werewolf and vampire respectively without referencing it would be really funny like that or like they do like village people with more generic costumes, which again would be incredible funny especially for me as a buddietommy lover if Eddie once again suggests the costume

Yaaay is it still 9am pettiness time?? I agree SO hard re: the utter pointlessness of T to buddie. They do not need that man for ANYTHING. they fulfil each other so totally and completely a threesome situation would end before it even began. They are BEST FRIENDS. they don't need him!!! All they need to do is figure out the sex part (google and communication is a thing!), so they don't need him for that either!!

in defense of my (jokingly) shipping of buddietommy: it's literally just so tommy would stand in the corner and watch as these two become abnormal about each other. my ideal situation is this: through lots and lots of mental gymnastics, a recently out eddie is invited on a threesome by buck (because he still can't conceptualize his attraction to eddie. but this he can explain away, helping a friend, and having fun with his boyfriend, whatever insane excuse his mind can concoct) so they start pretty normal. though decidedly at first buck is caught in the middle, but then tommy LOOKS at eddie and buck just sees red, and it turns into a twosome with tommy watching like ross did in friends. the end

this is exactly my vision ngl so hell yeah
