I'm here in my agony to say that discussion between Haein and Hyunwoo after he moved his stuff into the nursery will kill me with how painful it is.
They're both in so much pain it's visible there but they're unable to talk to each other about it.
'How could you move your stuff without telling me?' She's so hurt. Her tone is accusatory. She's hurt that she just emptied her unborn child's nursery and her husband decides to move away from her as well.
'You never told me you were emptying this room either.' He's pained that they've lost a much awaited child and she didn't bother consulting him before removing everything. He didn't get his closure. He's angry and upset and so hurt but he doesn't know that he needs to get through a very strongly wrought shield around her heart to have her acknowledge his pain.
'What are you getting at? Are you blaming me for the miscarriage?'
I never imagined Haein would think Hyunwoo would want to blame her. I want to cry that in her grief she failed to have enough faith in him and his love. She's hurt by his decision to move out so she takes it out on him. She's a classical study of saying something to completely annihilate the other when you're the one who's hurt.
Also, (this pained me more than anything) notice the extreme softness and absence of anger in his voice as he responds to her.
'What are you saying? I never thought that way.'
His anger and pain seeps back in when he confesses to her, 'I'm just as sad as you -'
'Don't lie. I know you want to say that it's my fault!' I wanted to yell at her to stop. I'm so sad that she let her past trauma catch up. Is that all she's thought about since she got the news of the miscarriage? That Hyunwoo would blame her? Her fears, her pain, her assumptions they all won. And they played a part in driving them apart.
'Forget it. I can't talk any sense into you.'
I think this is the most realistic line I've heard in a Kdrama. Because people do tend to in their anger and pain just give up. Hyunwoo couldn't deal with her accusing him of something he never did, he couldn't deal with her inability to listen and acknowledge his pain as well. So he walked away - it was just simpler, easier to do.
It's also reminding me of how he told her that if they lived in a closed space they would have been forced to confront each other. They were bound to hear the other cry and console the other then. When I think about the absolutely painful, lonely, cold two years that followed this, it makes me so sad.
I didn't know a minute long scene could send me in a spiral of sadness. As sad as a miscarriage is I've had immense clarity that it never implied that they could never have children. Not to dismiss their pain it's all very valid, but if they worked towards getting closure sooner they could have been so much stronger and probably could have had a child sooner. It makes me sad how the pain rendered them incapable to mend and work towards their relationship.

what if kremy and gideon know they're in love, they've individually known for a moment
but they cant accept it
they've been with each other so long. What happens if its not mutual? what'll they do? Leave each other? They cant just not talk to each other, they've known each other for years. what if they lose each other. What if they break apart because they couldnt keep their feelings to themselves So they just sit, trapped in limbo, knowing that keeping this friendship going is better than wanting more. But it'll slowly kill em, like a poison. OR they're jsut fucking dense, which is more likely than that paragraph i just pulled out of mmy ass /j
I personally feel like it’s a mixture of both.
Like, Kremy knows that his feelings for Gideon are more than platonic—and he’s probably known for a while (at least since the Witchlight carnival, if not beforehand)—but we know how Kremy is. Not only is he generally too prideful to admit to anything if he doesn’t have to (and even then, it’ll still be riddled with half-truths ans missing information), but he’s also scared. Because he can’t begin to even imagine a life without Gideon by his side, and he knows how Gideon is with commitment (ignoring the fact that Kremy is probably the only person Gideon has ever fully committed to, platonic or otherwise), so he’s scared that if he says something—or even gives a hint that he does, in fact, love Gideon—that Gideon will run the moment he gets the chance (ignoring the fact that Gideon will follow Kremy to the ends of the earth, because what does Gideon have if Kremy’s not by his side?), and Kremy would rather die than let his husband go.
Gideon, on the other hand, knows he has some kind of feelings for Kremy, but doesn’t know how to name said feelings. Because, as far as Gideon’s aware, he’s had these kinds of feelings towards Kremy for just about the entire time he’s known the lizardfolk. Gideon wants to protect Kremy, hold him close and never let go, follow him until the ends of the earth. And if he gets a sudden urge to, I don’t know, kiss the lizardfolk, what of it? He never does it, of course, because he knows how Kremy is when it comes to any kind of intimacy like that, and Gideon doesn’t like the way his heart aches whenever Kremy (very quickly) pulls away whenever Gideon initiates a hug. And, he’s noticed (at least a little bit) that Kremy’s been acting a little weird since they got ironically married, but that’s just how Kremy is, ya know (Gideon tries to ignore the way his heart soars when Kremy acknowledged him as “his husband”, or the way Gideon felt complete and content as he danced with Kremy on their wedding night)?
And, I think they’re both too dense and caught up in their own feelings to acknowledge how the other acts around him. Or maybe neither own realizes that the other acts like because he loves him. After all, 10 years is a long time to know somebody, and even longer to be in love with them.
There is a tumblr post I think about often (just in general, but especially for these two), where it’s a ship dynamic called “Who Else Could It Be But You?”. I’m trying to find the specific video I’m looking for, but it’s probably gonna take me a while. In any case, I think that specific post encapsulates them perfectly, and I just. Yeah.

Was pretty proud of this writeup about the (current) world of Veneer from the OC subreddit so I'm putting it here so it's in my Veneer tags
I write it to criticize the fantasy of a post-apocalyptic world where everything is steeped in violence and depravity and no one ever tries to help others or rebuild because "you can't trust other people". Isolation 100... Your post-apocalyptic world is built on fear and domination, mine is built on hope and trust. We are two sides of the same coin, but I'm making this story land on my side because I need to believe in other people more often lol
It's the far future, past 2 civilization-leveling apocalypses caused by over-consumption. The current civilization is so different from the first round of humanity that Era 1 humanity is basically the ancient aliens trope (think For/erun/ners from Ha/lo or the Eri/dians from bor/derlan/ds or the Ancients from S/targa/te (who, in retrospect, I think the E/ridi/ans were inspired by due to the whole escaping to an upper dimension thing, but I digress, do not let me go on this rant right now)) because nobody can read the writing they left behind or understand their technology or how it was powered.
Presently, the oceans have disappeared and the ozone layer has been destroyed. A large chunk of humanity from the last civilization lives in bubble cities (built by Crestfall Corp) scattered across the continents, but the ones who can't afford it take shelter from the sun on the Abyssal Plains, protected by the lower cloud cover. The Abyssal Plains are what's left after the ocean vanished, but it comes back when the moon is full, so everything down there either floats or is waterproof or lives in an airtrap (place where the water can't flood in because of the way it is structured or due to air pressure) ((there used to be a trading town named Airtrap, but now it is just called Haven because, as it turns out, most people are not keen on entering a dark cave with the word 'trap' plastered above the mouth, no matter the context))
Travelers across the plains sometimes come across massive, ancient structures housing drains, which is where the Hunger reaches up from the Underground. That is where the oceans drain to when it isn't a full moon. I don't have any more information about the Underground because nobody has ever come back from it.
The drains powered on 'recently' (current age) due a meteor striking the moon. The shards from the collision rained down and powered ancient technology that had been sitting dormant for ages. This is why the oceans have (mostly) disappeared. No one really knows why they return when the full moon rises...
The Hunger is a mysterious force that mutates wildlife across the Abyssal Plains, so there are groups of monster hunters who have banded together to form guilds and offer their services to the communities that have popped up. One notable up-and-coming group is Restoration, a guild of postal workers who deliver the mail and take on contracts to hunt monsters in exchange for food or work on their train. Notably, they have a no-kill policy. Their leader, H. Belinda, is an ex-Crestfall agent who ran from the company after she graduated and is now wanted. Before she started her life at CF, she worked with her dad selling stuff she scavenged from the Pacific junkyard to traders, like most of the people who grew up there.
The Abyssal Plains are also pockmarked with old battlefields and graveyards from spats between long dead corporations. If you're brave, you can scavenge some decent loot from them, but the war has been over for a long time. Regardless, Crestfall continues to strengthen their militia. After all, they've got to protect their investments people from the scary monsters that may hunt them in the night...
Sunlight City is where the story starts, a residential bubble city with a nature preserve and a focus on manufacturing. The actual city is more on the east side of the bubble and the suburbs sprawl out from there before farms take over. There's the nature preserve and Realta lake on the far west, which is where the CF headquarters for Sunlight City is. There are other bubble cities, like the one that is a giant amusement park and another that is solely a college campus, where the residents are trained for certain leadership positions in Crestfall Corp, but Sunlight City is my favorite :)
Travel between bubble cities is mostly done by CF pilots because air travel is fast and convenient, but you *can* travel across the continents in whatever will protect you from the deadly laser that is the sun. There are motorcycle gangs that hang out up there, but they look more like astronauts than bikers. They also tend not to go very far in as the continents are mostly a wasteland due to the sun, like the surface of the moon. Wonder what they're doing up there, though...
Fortunately, K. Bradach and C. Oroitz recently submitted their final requirement for graduation, which will change the way people travel between bubble cities!
Unfortunately, it seems to have awakened something that has lain dormant for a while...
Aesthetically, imagine scavenged solarpunk/lunarpunk meets ipod futurism and diselpunk. Then add a splash of steampunk from Julian's magic and you've got a stew going. Also the mushrooms. Can't forget the mushrooms. And the bones (they go hand-in-hand). Also the trains because I like trains :)

How exactly are the Armed Detective Agency hypocrites? They are goody two shoes but they have always generally done good. They haven't done anything bad so far other than what their job entails which is to protect the innocent and Yokohama.
Tumblr media
"What is this, an interrogation? I can book you an appointment with Ane-san if you want a crash course that badly."
But he's never one to turn down a challenge, s o...
"We can start with them trying to assassinate my Boss, for one. Don't get me wrong - I think its very noble to be willing to break the law to protect your leader, but its still premeditated murder. Don't you dare give me that 'they've only ever protected the innocent' shit. An' before you come at me with 'well the Port Mafia started it first they were just fighting back!'," he's absolutely using a squeaky mocking voice, "my Boss was just as innocent in that whole affair as their President was. It would'a been fair play to try and assassinate me since I was in charge of all that and ordered the attack, but that's not what happened."
"Also y'must either be ignorant and not hear the chatter on the streets, or you assume I don't and I'm not well-informed with how the Agency participates in revenge attacks in retaliation against the criminal gangs in Yokohama. See, in th' court of law that's called vigilantism at best, which is by and large illegal. When the Port Mafia retaliates, its 'gang violence' and 'assault' and we get a big black mark on our criminal record even if its justified, but when the Agency does the same thing they get a free pass and accolades because they have their little good guy gold star. Pah!"
"Not to mention property damage, carjacking, workplace abuse--" Or so he heard from Dazai, who honestly isn't the most reliable narrator, but shut up, he's making his case.
Speaking of the devil himself...
"--Oh, and they let Dazai into their ranks which should constitute war crimes in and of itself. Nobody on the level takes in a disgusting guy like THAT willingly!"

The forest's chant
A howl pierces the black sky, like a meteor shower. The Moon's rays illuminate the trees, as tall as the buildings that might replace them one day. The birds are silent and almost all asleep.
The Wolves run, the dead leaves fly and fall back down in a flutter after their paws hit the ground. A cool wind blows between the branches, as if playing an old, wooden, creaking instrument. The forest shudders.
Suddenly, the Wolves stop. They've found what they were looking for. They've found the wounded woman, in the middle of the woods, laying on the earth, hair and blood spilling like paint and pain. Her heart beats, but her eyes are closed ans her breath is unnoticeable.
The Wolves gather around her, circle around her. One of Them steps forward, silent as a shadow. She is Wolf, and the next moment, she is Woman, she is tall, she is beautiful. She is not covered by her fur anymore, but she does not shiver. She walks under the white gaze of the Moon. The wind has stopped.
She crouches near the woman that lays on her land and puts a hand on her back. Her hands slides on the fabric enveloping her skin and everywhere it slides, death recedes. Wounds close, blood flows anew, cells and organs get back on track like an old engine's cogs.
The Wolf steps back, lifts her eyes toward the Lady of the Night and howls. It is the same sounds the woman produced as she crumbled, hands tensed around the wounds she no longer has.
One after the other, the Wolves join her, neck stranded. Then, they quiet, and escort the Woman as she carries their find further into the forest, where the beasts that maimed her will never know to look for her.
When the woman opens her eyes, it is day. She is lying in the sunlight, alone; then a bird sings and she is not anymore. A woman sits at her side, on the bed of moss, in the middle of the clearing. Her movements are graceful, slow and soft.
They look at each other. They look like each other. The bird is still singing, and it only stops when they start talking. They catch up lost time, years that are not to count, they hold their hands, touch their hair, cheeks, arms, they laugh, they cry, the wind makes the trees purr.
The sun sets, the Moon rises, they are still there. When all the stars have come, they stand, leave the clearing and enter the forest. The wide black sky studded with stars turns into a mosaic half hidden by the trees' crowns. Near them, the soft sounds of the Wolves following can be heard.
On top of forest, there is a hill, and on top of the hill, there is the old oak. It is the master of the forest, and the Wolf are its guardians. The wind blows and its leaves whisper...
They whisper and whisper. The women listen closely: the wind hold many secrets. The night speaks, the Moon tells, the wind relays. The stars are here, they shine, they look.
The wind bears news of other forests, other lands. It tells legends of places devoid of humans, places far away and peaceful where water is clear and flows on the earth. Places where the sun is so hot the ground cracks open; places where no matter how much the sun shines, the ground stays white and silent; places where the trees are so tall the ground never even tastes the sun. Places, then, where humans destroy all, and build anew, places with too much noise and too many smells, places where the lights hide the stars.
The woman bows her head. She comes from this world, the human world. She went there, and she came back weak, and hurt, and terribly changed. Terribly human.
She never, however, forgot the howl of the Wolves that breaks the night, nor did she forget the old oak, neither the wind the whisper the Moon's secrets to whoever really listens.
She is here now, near the Wolf, surrounded by Wolves, on top of the hill, under the Moon.
Then, the Wolves leave, and no one is left. The wind is quiet.
It has nothing left to tell, because there is nothing left to say.

I LURV school of mysteries but dude its so confusing and hard to keep up with, it feels so busy ans there are so many moving parts. Csn you maybe, dumb down whats happened so far? ITS SO GOOD AND IN NO WAY REFLECTIVE OF YOUR STORY TELLING. Im just struggling😭
Yes absolutely I can do that for you ! I know it's confusing. It'll stay confusing until the end, I'm sorry 😭
I'm gonna put it under the cut so there's no spoilers for others !
Hyunjin and Y/n were engaged before he left to study abroad. He wrote her a letter letting her know everything and that he was coming back. But Jisung took the letter because he was hoping she would notice him and fall for him because he's been in love with her forever.
Hyunjin returned when rumors about Felix and Y/n reached him. He was livid. He then got murdered by our unknown killer (or killers 👀).
Felix and Y/n had been dating a year before he was murdered. He was acting suspicious because he was setting up a whole thing for their anniversary and for a proposal. He went to the pool to meet with someone and was drowned.
Changbin has been obsessed with Y/n for a while now and had been making advances even when she was with Hyunjin. He had created an entire plan to make her accept his advances, but he quickly switched his plan when Felix was found dead. Thought being her shoulder to cry on would make her want to sleep with him. It did not.
Wooyoung is obsessed with Mae and has been looking for ways to break Kayla and Mae up. To no avail. He refuses to give up though.
Yeonjun may or may not like Kayla, but regardless he refuses to break up any relationships. He really enjoys the company of the wifeys and Jisung. He has no idea what happened to the 2 guys he befriended years ago, but he wants nothing to do with who they've become.
Everything that's going on with Mingi will be revealed in the next chapter.
There have been hints throughout the story about who's doing the killing. Remember, no one is safe and everyone is a suspect.
I think that's everything so far 😭 but if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask ! And if in the future you need me to do this again before the finale, I'll be happy to do so 🥰

So what do you think is the exact relation between the Kim and the Hirahara families? They're "business partners" but the rest of the details have been pretty vague, and the fact that apparently a Kim was ex-CEO of the Hirahara side of things makes me even more confused.
No, I agree. Until now, I'd thought that the Kim-Hirahara alliance was something they were newly bringing to the table, but that Yui had been in cahoots with them for a long time, but now it's clear that this relationship goes back even further.
I believe the Kim who was the former CEO was Gun Kim's father, so Sangchul's grandfather. It doesn't make sense to partner with them again, does it? Wouldn't the shareholders be uncomfortable with the idea of partnering with the family of the man who lost his position in this company due to sexual assault allegations. Of course, the business world is sleazy so maybe it's justifiable to them because that particular man is not in power and the Kims themselves make for a powerful partnership - Gun himself states that he has connections to several media conglomerates. If we have learned anything in ILY so far, it's that those with wealth and influence go far, no matter what they've done. The Kims clearly have powerful enough connections and assets to make them a beneficial partnership. Perhaps the idea is that "all of that is in the past" and it "doesn't matter" anymore? Perhaps because it's a partnership rather than re-hiring the offending Kim it doesn't raise any flags?
There's so many ways this can swing, though. I think it's clear the Kims and Hiraharas are close - at least through Yui and perhaps other members of her family. It's interesting that they partnered with someone who has that past, as I'd expect Rand to be against it, but again, perhaps it's so easy to say "oh but he isn't involved so..." Or Rand was overruled. Or Rand doesn't care. We know as far as Yui goes, they are close. Sangchul knows a LOT about Nol's personal life that others don't, and Yui had the whole secret roofies for Sangchul that Gun doesn't know about. It's also implied his father is making him cooperate with Yui (I think he referred to hiring Shinae as "You've got thar bitch ordering me around")
We also cannot forget one of the popular theories that comes from "Rand isn't Kousuke's father" is "Gun is Kousuke's father", but that's merely a theory at this time. I just always feel it's worth mentioning when we dig in to the Kim-Hirahara family alliance.
Perhaps this recent partnership is a way to bring the Kims back into the business without being directly involved? Look, I'm not a business person, so I can only speculate lmao and if anyone has better ideas, please let me know! This is an aspect of the story I'm always interested in, too! Everything Yui - ans in general the Hiraharas - do is for some kind of gain, so they wouldn't partner with the Kims if the risks outweigh the benefits. However, a friend has shown me an interesting theory that what Yujing is working on may be two separate stories - one on Nol for Rand, and a much, much bigger story about the Hiraharas and Kims.
I think the Kims and Hiraharas are of the sane ilk - they don't care much about others and see no qualms in stepping on others to get what they want and what thet deserve. Gun's father is known foe rampant sexual assault, Gun himself is known to be a serial playboy of sorts (and there's far darker implications that he goes after young girls and Shinae was at the formal for him), Sangchul himself is an entitled asshole who also has no qualms with coercion or drugging girls to get what he wants. What we know of Yui and her propensity to drug people as well as her willingness to harm others to teach them a lesson, to control them, or even for her own amusement is right in line with them. To them, you do whatever you must because you can, and because if not you, someone else will do it.
The theory about the two articles plays like this: Yujing has a lot of dirt on the families, but so far it's a jumping point, right? It's all allegations and implications. Even if she could tie this all together in time, it might not have the full effect. So what she means they have 120 days for might be specifically about the Nol piece - which makes sense because I was never quite sure how Nol's sentencing played into that. But if it's about Nol - perhaps the aim is to demonstrate that he, the illegitimate son of Rand Hirahara, took the fall for Sangchul Kim, son of the Hirahara partner.
Something I thought a lot about if Yujing dropped that expose around graduation, then what story would be left for us to explore in the time jump? Essentially with what she's working at, you would think that would dismantle a lot. But looking at it from the perspective that she's working on something much bigger, she needs more time. It's not enough to just write about these already known events. She probably needs testimonies, she needs more evidence, she needs more of the victims to share their piece so that what she's presenting is hard to refute, so that shareholders feel the impact. If the whole general public turns on them, they've got to act, right?
So if this theory is right, that there's two stories, the story on Nol does two things. First, it can possibly clear Nol's name. As a result of pleading guilty, he now has a record, and everyone knows what kind of stigma this creates. If people learned the real story, that he took the fall for one of the partner's children, how would that make the company look? Especially as he was actually trying to help someone. Especially as the illegitimate child.
Secondly, this story existing would lead more credence to Yujing's future expose. It would show this has happened before, and thus it makes Yujing's evidence appear all the more trustworthy. It's a long game.
What does this have to do with your original question? Very little LMAO but it's a tangential thought for me, because while the Hiraharas seem to think the benefit of this partnership outweigh the risks. But if the public is to learn that the bastard son is taking the fall to protect the partnership? If they learn that the Kims are still as dirty and vile, that the Hiraharas continue to condone what they do so long as they can benefit, maybe the shareholders would be able to push for some change, lest the public fully turn on them, right?
But to sum up my answer to your question lol I think in general the Kims and at least Yui are close. Note that neither Nol nor Kousuke had yet met Sangchul, but he knew all about them through his father, who appears to be very close at least with Yui. Birds of a feather and all that. 👀

Teenage dirtbag Camilla & Palamedes finding dusty forgotten offices in the Library. Teenage dirtbag Camilla & Palamedes' First Time... they've made out and gotten handsy for a long while when Palamedes just finally took the car and drove it over the cliff. He pushes Cam against a creaky table and spread her apart... awkard askings of "Is this okay" and "Do you still want to" and "Does this feel good". Him eating Cam out, knowing exactly where everything js because 1) She's his Cam, his one flesh and end and 2) Dulcie's copious amount of mediocre erotica novels she sent regularly. Cam, quiet composed and shy Camilla Hect, open-mouthed and gasping silently like a fish out of water... she didn't think it would feel this much. She tries to keep her composure but she couldn't help but let a gasped whine escape... it was desperate and needy and she hated it but Palamedes seemed to enjoy it very much, because he starts to do whatever it takes to elicot more out of her, just lapping and sucking and moaning into her, ans Cam eventually lost all composure and just throws everything out the window, she's already being fucked by her necromancer anyway, ends up being very vocal about it, bucking wildly against his mouth and grasping on his hair like her life depends on it...
woo whee woah
She holds his face to her as grinds into him, riding his face for every last drop of pleasure. He can't breath, the length of her cunt pressed entirely to his face as she rides out her orgasm. Eventually she slumps back, hand still into his hair as he breathes, lightheaded as he strokes her down from her high. She palms along his scalp and then, one hand gripping his hair and the other grabbing his lapel, pulls him up to kiss her. She tastes herself, and it tastes like his devotion.
She reaches down to his trousers, one hand on his trouser's button and the other along the length of him. "Please," she chokes out, completely, vulnerably bare in her desperation. He obliges, he would oblige to anything for her, let alone something he wants too, and he shucks himself out of his pants, stumbling in his haste. They laugh together and her eyes dart down between them as she lightly - too lightly - takes him in her hand. She has seen him before, pressed against the seam of his trousers, felt him against her back as they've slept, but she's never seen him like this.
Some might objectively call Palamedes ugly, call his dick ugly, but to her it is a marvel, the flushed head dripping in its arousal. She thumbs along the slit, causing him to hiss as she spreads the wetness as far down as it'll go. She wonders what it would be like to taste him, to push herself to a new limit as she challenges herself to take him fully into her mouth.
But that's for another day. She has just come and she is desperate for another, desperate for him. "Please," she whispers again, pulling him closer between her spread thighs, guiding him to where she wants him most, where she wants to be overwhelmed by his presence. And she lets go, allowing the final decision to be his. He wastes no time reaching between them, lining himself up as he whispers, "Cam, my love, my everything," as he slowly enters her, their gasps mingling as they trade open kisses around their groans as he slides to his base inside her.
His hands rest on either side of her thighs, flexing, as he gains his composure. He is embarassingly close, after having tasted her and heard her sounds, and now with her soft flesh clenching sporadically around him.
"Cam," he whispers, and she pushes his hair back from his face, continuing the movement through his hair until her hand rests at the nape of his neck.
"It's ok," she responds, "Please, just - inside, I need you." He grips his base as he starts moving, willing himself away from the edge. She moans vulgarly, her control already out the window, and her first orgasm more than eradicating any remnants of restrain in her noises. He begins a rhythm, and she is so warm against him and he is filling and hitting all the right spots in her, they are both so close. He moves his hand from where he grips himself to move against her clit and she's coming in his arms, gripping his hair and the back of his shirt as she pulls him as close as she physically can, and he grips the back of her ass, pulling her to him as he holds out as long as he can during her orgasm and she gasps, "Let go," and he is coming, spilling inside of her as she pulses warmly around him, and he stays buried deep in her as he grinds out the rest of his orgasm.
And they laugh. They've both been anticipating this for years and they've done it and there's just so much joy and they laugh. He presses a kiss to her lips and they are both smiling into it. They stay there for a moment, basking in the warmth of each other before resolving to go clean up. And he pulls out, his trailing cum dribbling along her, painting her inner thighs. She slides her pants back on, not bothering to clean it up, and they both sneak back to their quarters to clean up, their palms together the whole way.

tell us about your hannibal-faith-fnaf au please :) be as incoherent as you want
FORREST, BELOVED MUTUAL, I AM KISSING YOU!!!! ON THE LIPS OR CHEEK? IDK THAT'S FOR YOU TO DECIDE!!! AUGHHHHHHH okay I'm gonna be 100% incoherent now, thank you for letting the BEAST to escape its time to release the autism demons.
Alright, so, the very very beginning of the au starts around mid season one of hannibal, I'm sorta thinking around the episode 7~8 range, before Abigail comes back into the picture. Hannibal's efforts at driving a wedge between Will and Jack have worked to such a point, along with his still struggling mental health and budding encephalitis, he's completely, 100%, done with the FBI. He's losing a painful amount of time, he doesn't trust himself, he doesn't trust the people around him, and he knows that it's only getting worse with every passing day. Will knows that he shouldn't, he absolutely shouldn't, he knows that him taking time away from the FBI and the countless investigations would only get more people killed. He can already feel his mind beginning to bend, and taking on more and more killers is only making it worse. Its gotten so bad that he can see Jack simply calling him and he can barely breathe around the fact that he'll have to allow another killer in his mind.
Not even the appointments with Hannibal seem to be working at releasing the tension, and he feels closer to a steadily breaking dam than a person.
It's callous, it's reckless, it's selfish... but Will doesn't stop himself on the third night of absolutely no sleep to call the Baltimore FBI department directly ans ask for a case. Any case, any case at all, as long as it's out of Baltimore entirely and he's solo- he'll take anything. Will knows that he's only a "consultant" and not an official agent, so it should at least lend him a single day before Jack finds out. It takes less than a day for them to get back to him and while it isn't that far- Will can't help the bolt of relief at hearing that he'll be going to Connecticut of all places. He leaves that same day with only a voice-mail to Alana to request that she take care of his dogs until further notice. Whatever he tells Alana will eventually make its way to Jack, so he very carefully turns off his phone and only dares to turn it back on the moment he walks into the Connecticut FBI division.
It's a small little thing, nowhere as large and distinguished as Baltimore, but that very fact is a comfort as he settles into the uncomfortable, old chair. They tell him of a town that's been suffering through an increasing rate of missing people, as well as the strange deaths littering the town. Ritualistic almost, but all of their investigations have proved to be useless as they can't find a thing. There's rumors, of course, but it seems like any info that there is, is trapped within that little country town. They've gotten so desperate that it's why they requested for another pair of eyes on the disappearances. Will can already feel his own curiosity burning at the threads begin to weave together.
A little town in the middle of nowhere, deaths and disappearances that have stretched back for decades, and now? A string of murders and animal corpses filling the forests. It's... an intimidating case, but one that promises to keep him more than well distracted from Baltimore and all of the lingering regrets that wait for him. Will doesn't hesitate to accept the case.
He very pointedly ignores his ringing phone and Alana's concerned texts.
Some more mundane events happen until!! Will and John officially meet during chapter one :]] Will have gone to check out the Martins' abandoned household, the most recent of disappearances, only to run into John :] who has a shotgun :] and just got done failing to exorcise Amy FOR A SECOND TIME!!!! Anyway, John saves Will from getting absolutely fucking mauled by Michael! Sorry it just cracks me up that their first interaction is John being freshly traumatized, Will learning that demons exist, and promptly adopting each other as besties.
Some other little details about the faith-hannibal meeting!! Will acts in what would be Garcia's role if he had been present throughout the entire story, aka he physically protects John and acts as the more rational, calculating one to John's more extreme anxiousness and ridiculous guilt complex. They help to balance out each other a ton and it's really fun for me to imagine that Will is the "bite" between the two of them. Their dynamic is the equivalent of two EXTREMELY different people, somehow finding a ton of common ground and even an understanding between each other. At first, it concerns John that Will is able to understand the demons and worshippers so well, but he soon comes to terms with it. If anything, it's a comfort that Will offers a sort of stability to the world for John and John is a glimpse of how genuinely good the world can be. Will is so frequently haunted by the absolute worst of humanity that it can be a nice reminder that a whole lot of people are also haunted by darkness, not all of them reflect the potential for darkness. They're each other's stability and also help each other with keeping tied down to reality.
It also helps that the both of them suffer with delusions, hallucinations, and nightmares, so it's nice to be understood and not feared, or pitied.
I like to imagine that they get one of the neutral endings!! Or aka :) the ending where the seal is not completely broken and the crucible is instead sealed. Things get a bit, uh... heated when Garcia takes out a shotgun and points it at John :( to which Will points his gun at Garcia :( I like to imagine that Garcia reminds Will of Jack in that painful moment, of being willing to sacrifice someone for the greater good. Will is the one who asks John if he wishes to join the fight- join Garcia- and his gaze tightens when John says no for the second time- he needs time, he needs to breathe-
Keep in mind that this is a timeline where Lisa had been killed by John while he was possessed :( so he's extremely emotional and traumatized, and really? Will is one of the only reasons that he's been at all stable whatsoever through all of this. It just KILLS ME to imagine that WILL ASKS JOHN IF HE WANTS TO CONTINUE THE FIGHT!!! HE ASKS IF HE WANTS TO IMMEDIATELY THROW HIMSELF BACK INTO HELL!!! AND HE DEEPLY UNDERSTANDS WHEN JOHN SAYS NO!!!!!!!! LIKE GOD. DEAR GOD..... I just can't fucking get over the idea of Will feeling so much like a tool, of being pulled that way and that, of being the sacrificial lamb- that he SEES himself in John at that very moment and steps IN!!!! HE'S THE ONE WHO HOLDS A GUN TO GARCIA WHEN HE TRIES TO FUCKING IMPEDE ON JOHN'S CHOICE. END IT ALLLLLLL !!!!! And like, Will fucking gets why John wants a break, wants to run, because isn't that what he's doing? It doesn't matter much, but Will is able to successfully get them both out and on the road.
They're not going to Baltimore, he knows that it would be the smartest option, but he just can't yet.
Anyway uuuhhhhhhh plot is a bit twisty and turny here because I'm still solidifying on how they end up in Nevada- but they end up there after Will is forcibly put into the hospital for his encephalitis and extreme fever. John is by his side the entire time btw ^-^ ! And I've been thinking that they end up staying in Nevada for a bit so Will can recover and that's how they end up learning about the string of disappearances within the remains of freddy's! And it doesn't help that there's been other, more quieter disappearances as well... and Will just knows that somethings up, and he can't refuse the pull when he reads paper after paper of the missing children. Eventually! They end up finding Vanessa and its through her that they end up learning more and they meet Mike on his very first night!! :DD
Will, John, and Mike all bond and it doesn't take long for Mike to tell him about Garrett and all that he experienced. How he dreams every night, the same dream, but he never feels any closer to his brothers killer. Will deeply understands how it feels to be haunted by a killer, to have the feeling of being useless and helpless under your skin, and how it feels when everything is ripped away from you. John also understands because he's deeply sympathetic to how Mike lost absolutely everything and yet... he's still so protective, how he tries. How even if the world seemed determined to keep him alone, he always stayed by his sisters side. It reminds him of how him and Lisa used to be and it's all very...... uhhhhhhh lemme rip my heart out of my chest rq, I can't fucking handle all of these guys being sosososososo sad :(((( but it's okay cause they're all besties and are having a therapy session on the dirty kitchen floor.
Also some random details during the whole fnaf part- Mike invites Will and John to his house because it's kinda clear that they're not from here and have absolutely no place to go. Abby is initially not happy at ALL that there's two whole other people stealing Mike's attention- but she softens really quick when she sees how having friends has made some of his stress alot easier. John is actually pretty good with kids, though he does fumble and is kinda awkward- he's trying his best!! And Will is so out of practice because being in the FBI means you don't really interact with kids, ever, and her being a child knocks him off his rocker so damn much you have no idea. Abby is able to get him on the floor to draw and he's completely stunlocked the entire time, he has no fucking idea what he's doing whatsoever.
Also Will has been fucking pampered by Hannibal's cooking, but he's brought back to earth extremely quickly when Mike shows up with cheap, greasy pizza. Will swears he can feel Hannibal shiver from across the states.
But besides that! John, Will, and Abby all end up accompanying Mike to his job that they can watch over Abby while researching more about freddy's and the profane sabbath! Goodbye to Mike's late night nap sessions :)
John is extremely spooked by the animatronics btw LMAOOOOOOOO he shrieks the first time that Vanessa shows them all off and he immediately hides behind Will, who has the most incredious expression you've ever seen in your life. Will doesn't trust any of them worth a SHIT and he just wishes that he could shoot them like any old demon or person. He may or may not carry a taser 24/7 the moment he's able to work the info out of Vannessa that they're weak to electricity :)) not even joking Abby and Vanessa are the only ones who trust the animatronics worth a damn and it's the funniest damn thing to see in action. Just imagine three vaguely anxious guys all huddled together with The Expressions of all time.
John is terrified, Mike is untrusting and slightly dissociated, and Will can and will figure out how to take them apart by evidence of his face alone.
It gets even worse when the animatronics start moving and Will just has to sit on the ground because OF COURSE FUCKING GHOSTS EXIST. OKAY WHATEVER. ITS FINE. I KNOW YOU'RE ALL DEAD KIDS BUT I STILL DON'T TRUST YOU WORTH A SHIT. I MISS REGULAR MURDERERS NOW <- he's going to regret that thought extremely quickly when he meets William and Gary.
While all of this happening btw I just need you to imagine the rest of the hannibal cast absolutely losing their shit trying to figure out where Will went. Hannibal is slowly unraveling because he utterly despises how MIA Will is rn and he has no idea where he is. Let's just say that he's... a bit tired of it :) just a bit :) he's totally not about to go off-gride himself and find Will by the skin of his fucking teeth. He doesn't even fucking know about Gary........

it's been a super long while for me but i finally getting around to catching up on s4!! just finished growing pains, and a couple of my fave bits: the build up to the charlie dance comeback, jack coming home, jade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sweet baby getting everything she deserves), also rare zay/lucas bonding that is straying almost close to the source material, very big shocker, ALSO THE ENDING!!! my endearingly painful faves...isa and farkle...u hold such a place in my heart. i could go into everything i loved but it rlly was all of it like LUCAS/RILEY/ISA ROOMMATES!! YINDRA ZAY BONDING!! CHARLIE ANS FARKLE!! getting back to ambition really does feel like coming home which is always so fun- can't wait to catch up with the rest!! you guys did such a great job as always <3
p.s. i miss asher and dylan soo much like i know they're living their best lives together BUT I MISS THEIR ANTICS ;-;
wow wow wow. this was such a lovely sweet message to wake up to this morning -- thank you for taking the time to send it!! and WELCOME BACK!!! i hope everything is going well in your world i'm so excited for you to experience the rest of the season so far (and you made it just in time for 4b which is coming back VERY soon hahaha)
and for dylan and asher, without spoiling -- you'll see them again soon!! i promise!! even though they've shifted roles to guest stars rather than regulars, they do make more substantial appearances (and have some to come in the back half of the season as well)
i just really wanted to highlight your sentiment "ambition really does feel like coming home," because holy cow does that mean a lot to us. that's exactly the feeling we want reading this silly series to create. whether you're always up to date, or had to step away for a while but found your way back, or if you just showed up and found this community four years later, it's a lil community and it will always be for y'all with open arms (and plenty of theater kid antics). so it's really meaningful to see someone else put that into their own words and mean it. thank you for reading and sharing that with us 💝

You said you wanted me to yap about my ocs so here I am. Have some thoughts that have been spinning in my cement mixer brain :3
So Maya and Jack are quite different. One of the major differences being that Maya is quite adventurous and Jack is more cautious. So here’s the reasoning behind why they are both like that
Maya-
Maya’s mom is terminally ill with a rare disease. She’s one of the only members of the siren species with this kind of illness, and the only one to have lived as long as she has after being diagnosed (10 years so far) she is barely able to breathe, let alone swim, so she stays in their cove most of the time. Since they don’t know what causes this illness, Maya has convinced herself that she will get it too at the same age as her mom (her mom was in her twenties when she got sick) so she has a very devil may care attitude. She does whatever she wants since she figures she won’t be alive to reap the consequences. She also goes through life trying to bond with as few people as possible (Jack managed to grasp her despite that but she still has some walls up with them despite being friends for many years) because she is scared deep down of having to leave them.
Jack is kinda the opposite side of that coin. He is terribly afraid of living forever, so he’s extremely careful and deliberate with everything he does, because he figures that any diversion from what is supposed to happen will throw his life into mess, and he will have to live with the consequences always, no escape. He didn’t mean to become friends with Maya, and there are a lot of days he regrets it, because she chases trouble. He loves her anyway tho. He also hates forming connections because only the vampires are immortal, and since he never truly feels like a vampire (trans allegory is intended lmao) he doesn’t form relationships with many of them
Ahhhh I’m sorry that was a lotta yapping 🙈 these thoughts have just been trapped in my brain and I wanted to share them with someone :3
Okay you're crafting a really interesting story! You've defined wants for both characters (saving her mother and/or herself for Maya and transing their species for Jack), consequences of said wants for both of them in ways that contrast and intersect, and you have a lot of parallels going on in how the concept of mortality affects both of them. It's some good stuff!
Usually I see a lot of carelessness when it comes to immortal beings in fiction, since they play it off as "it doesn't matter, it'll all be over eventually", but with Jack not wanting to BE immortal, it makes sense that they'd be more careful about it all; he could be trapped in that body forever if he wasn't, after all.
And I love that despite it all they're friends. Someone who might not live much longer, ans someone who might live for too long, and they've built an unbreakable bond of friendship without even meaning to.
They're really cool!!! I like them a lot and I'm excited to see where their story goes!!!!

9. three songs that get you in the Christmas Mood 13. three songs you want at your funeral
19. three songs that are your guilty pleasure (not sure if you actually consider anything a "guilty pleasure" but the number demanded it)
20. three songs that remind you of the person who sends this one
IX
Obviously, The Mariah Carey Song. That goes without saying -- in fact, I won't even count it as one of my answers. Same for The Trans-Siberian Orchestra Song, as in the one everyone knows. Will still include a different TSO song for the list, though:
What Christmas Means to Me, Stevie Wonder (again, this man and the bops)
Oh Holy Night, August Burns Red (yeah, the metal band. too bad they forewent vocals because that would have fucked, if you ask me)
Christmas Canon Rock, TSO (I mean, it just isn't Christmas without them. what can I say.)
XIII
Disclaimer: As much as I believe that Death is the Road to Awe is The Only Death Song For Me, I don't think it makes a great funeral song, per se. Which is a shame.
Carry Me, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
How To Disappear Completely, Ane Brun (yes, specifically her cover)
I have a vision of a second-line style death procession with You Ain't Coming Back (Zeal & Ardor) playing for the first, idk, half-mile or so. You can then segue into more energetic songs afterward. But you gotta start with this. It's my Nearer My God To Thee, okay. (TBF, you could just play that, too. I wouldn't be too mad.)
XIX
You assume correctly, so instead here are three fave songs by bands/artists that are pretty unpopular (at least in some circles):
Faceless Man, Creed (I got straight up bullied for having this band as my special interest in high school and I still feel it to this day)
Killing Strangers, Marilyn Manson (yeah, of all my MM faves I picked the John Wick song on purpose, lol)
Patience, Guns n' Roses (I think they've fallen so far out of the public consciousness at this point that it's no longer unpopular to like them bc not enough people care anymore, but.)
XX
Challenge mode: doing this but excluding artists that I probably learned about from you in the first place.
Hour of the Wolf, Ulver
Wild Animal, Hante.
Omen, the Damned Things

You are 9 years old and your brother is 7. And you live in a tiny town on top of a mountain, but you don't know that it's tiny because you don't know anyone else exists besides your tiny town and your brother. Your dad is one of the town heads and your mom disappeared after going into the wenyi that surrounds the base of the mountain. But it's okay because nothing is better than thd life you have.
You build forts out of branches to play in with your brother. You watch him throw snowballs at his friends, and when they hit him a little too hard you glare at them and remember to throw snow under their floors so the fire goes out. You walk your brother to school and run to his class when it finishes so you can play. It's all okay because nothing is better than the life you have. Ans nothing can change the life you have
And then you are 10 years old and your brother is 8. And a demon walks in from the wenyi, its skin blistering and peeling as it comes into view. It's a disgusting, mutilated view. But as it comes closer it disguises itself. The blisters wither and make way for real skin, the face forms itself into the visage of a woman. She says nothing as she approaches the town, and it attracts everyone. it scares everyone. They step away as she approaches. you hold your brothers hand and tell him to stay behind you.
But the white-haired demon only smiles at the stillness of everyone. A dog growls as someone approaches, but the demon calms it. "Who are you?" the person asks. Their distance is far enough to not be affected by the wenyi, but closer than anyone else dared to be. The demon cocked her head, the smile faltering. She said something, mostly gibberish. Some words you understood, "my" and "is" and "walk", though she spoke them strangely. No one knew what she said.
She took some cargo off the sled her dogs had pulled, and some people ran to grab their knives and shovels and anything else they could protect with. You all stepped back as she unwrapped the fabric holding it. Inside was a box, and inside that were furs and hides. they had patterns you hadn't seen in any animal. Some were white spotted with black, others grey and brown with dark dots. She unwrapped one- brown that turned lighter at the edges- to show a symbol branded into it. A rotated square with six lines from it. You notice now it's the same symbol on her clothes. She leaves the box where it is and waves goodbye, turning away without a word.
The hides are better than anything your town has made before.
The monster comes again a few more times. She brings someone else with her next. They wave, and they say slowly something about peace. When no one knows what they mean, they try again. They speak slowly, and it takes a few tries, but they can be understood. "Us name... Koro," they explain. Pointing behind themself to the wenyi, they continue, "Help, uh... illness. Not now. You... you give, us give". You know these people are lying. You know they're monsters. No human could emerge from the wenyi. You grab your brothers arm, planning to run back home. But the white-haired demon sets down another box, this one filled with metalware. It was sturdy and well-built. Your brother watched your dad use it to make dinner. You didn't care.
In one of the visits, the second demon stays in the village as the first retreated to the wenyi. They start to speak better, and they answer questions of anyone who asks. Some people are wary of them, fearing they've been infected by the wenyi. But their skin is unblemished with the red marks it brings, and they seem livelier than anyone else in the town. So your father brings you and your brother to see them one day.
They say they're from a place called Koro. They are more advanced than your town. There are machines that glide across the snow like sleds, but twice as fast and without anyone pulling it. They say that there are things that can make you immune to the wenyi, and that's how they got up the mountain. Your brother wants to ask more about it but you get scared of what they're saying and you know he is too, so you pull him back home
More demons come. Besides the first two, there are three others that start to come by. Some stay for a long time and some only visit for a few hours at a time. They all learn to speak, but something about the way they talk makes you nervous. You tell your brother not to talk to them.
You are 11 and your brother is 9, and your father comes home one day with a grin. He says the white-haired one- he calls the thing Ishawuu- came again. The whole village was having a feast. He says someyhing about a celebration, but you don't look at the news bulletin so you don't know what its for. But he says he and the other town heads had been making plans with them, that it would be very exciting. All you knew was the food looked amazing. It has sauces over it that you had never seen. some were salty, some were bitter. One had a taste called "sweet" you had never had before. Even the meat was new. There were different kinds, cooked in ways you had never seen. Your brother seemed fascinated, but you just thought it was tasty.
Suddenly the demons rose. The white haired one clapped and everyone looked at her. she smiled. You remembered she was the only one who couldn't speak, so she gestures to the other four.
"Dear people of Montaldea," one of them begins. The speech starts with just pleasantries, going on about community and mutual benefit. They seem to be droning on endlessly, so you zone out to focus on the food you're eating. Everything you eat is something new. It feels endless. And it's so delicious that you swear you'd do anything to have it every day. You look to your brother to say something when you hear thd demons speaking again.
"The five heads have agreed to sell this town to Koro"
You don't know why everyone is clapping. Your father leans down to say what you didn't hear. He tells you that they'll get rid of the wenyi if the townspeople work for Koro. They'll give more food and clothes and medicine to them, too. He smiles like that makes sense. Like it's a good thing. Your brother is clapping, too, and you think they've done something to his mind. So you grab his arm and run. And you run and run and run and run, and your brother falls down and scrapes his hands but you keep holding him and you keep running until you're at the fort you and him built two years ago and you yell at him and ask why he's happy. You say they're gonna kill him. You say the only reason they came was to take away thd fun and the peace they had. And you yell and you yell and you yell. And even when your dad finds you at daybreak, your voice hoarse and your brother cowering in the snow you keep screaming to make any sound you can. Even as your vision fades you're still trying to be heard. Images of that first white-haired demon flash in your head.
Ishawuu and Day having met eachother is making me so.

The Riptide pirates are literally the perfect trio and I will be explaining why in excruciating detail. They've grown so close that without one of them, they wouldn't be able to function as a group. All three of them are dependant on each other now in the most found family way and I am very emotional about these stupid pirates.
(SPOILERS FOR JRWI RIPTIDE UP UNTIL EPISODE 87)
First and most notably, Gillion Tidestrider. He did dissappear, and we all saw how that turned out for the remaining two Riptide Captains. Gillion is their compass, he points them in the right direction, though more metaphorically and physically. His strict moral code is most likely the only reason they've been able to do as much good as they have. Time and time again he's been there to remind his friends about what makes them good and worthy, keeping them from straying too far off the right path. Without him there, they have no direction, drifting aimlessly until eventually breaking apart.
Jay Ferin is their ship's wheel. With the right direction to go, she's the brains of the captains that makes sure they're not going to get themselves killed. More often than not, she is what pulls them away from certain death. Of the three of them, she has the most common sense, and is often what grounds her crew in reality when they get too caught up in their own heads. Without Jay, they would either have gotten themselves killed through their own impulsiveness ans stupidity, or killed each other through their self-absorbed stubbornness.
Of their crew, Chip is the glue that holds wood beneath their feet, and the very ship they sail on. He is their foundation, and without him, there would be no Riptide pirates. Though he started off in a rough spot, over time Chip has grown into someone his crew can depend on, and he tries his hardest to keep them together. Their ship has splintered and cracked with time, yet he has glued together every break in the ship to the best of his abilities. It's not perfect, but it's proof that he's trying. Without him their ship would certainly have broken by now without him to mend the tears he may or may not have caused.
I also love how, at least currently, none of the Riptide Captains could function alone. Without the only people who have shown him real and unconditional love, Gillion would surely revert back to believing his only worth comes from his usefulness, and with no direction, he would float aimlessly in the ocean once again. As of now, Jay is not in the mental state to face her family alone, and nothing good could come from the inevitable confrontation with her family if her co-captains aren't by her side. Without his crew, Chip would be lost again, only just recently being able to fully let go of the chains he'd put on himself because of Arlin. He'd be alone, again, and there's only so many times the people he love can leave him before he finally breaks.
In conclusion, JRWI Riptide is the best dnd podcast and if you don't listen to it already, you should because it is an experience. Yes it's long, but it is so incredibly worth it. These pirates will live in my head rent free until the show ends, which it won't because I can't fathom the idea of it ending.

MUSIC MUCSI
I haven't thought about how music could be affected in Twisted Wonderland due to various species but now that I think about it there are plenty of cultures that value music alot. Sharks love metal music so Shark beastmen probably make up that market!
Due to the sensitivity of beastmen and fae ears how low do headphones tailored to a species of beastmen and fae go/sound compared to human headphones?
Maybe Leona and other beastmen get overestimated by the loud environment of NRC and completely skip class to recuperate while on the opposite side Merman (because they've adopted more human appendages) are more understimulated in which that could explain Floyd's erratic behavior to things that interest him and things that bore him because he's not as stimulated as he would be if he were in the water (the ocean is loud especially with human's jetskiing, yachts, and stuff)
How has language changed to accommodate beastmen/fae/merfolk, are there different dialects and slang, how much has French (or Twisted Wonderlands version of it) developed to accommodate these various inclusions, how has other languages developed with these new inclusions.
Is the standard Japanese that we have considered older or more textbook than the average Japanese spoken in Twisted Wonderland? (If so, Lilia must sound ancient)
Back to music,, does that mean that there are girl groups,, boy bands?? If so, Cater listens to hyperpop, and the twst!Blackpink.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 Now you're speaking my language!!
Language definitely developed different with mer and beastfolk. Both are capable of making sounds humans can't (growls, chirps, clicks, etc.) and can likely hear undervocals humans can't as well. So it's very possible that certain tonal vocalizations are only possible for and between non-humans.
(Fae are another matter entirely, I'll get to that some other time.)
This is actually going to come up in Octavinelle chapter! Kal & Ace and the Octa trio both technically speak slightly different forms of Italian, and it's something Kal will notice!
There is a Canon idol group in twst! We first learned about them in Jamil's Fairy Gala card story, from Idia. They're based on the Fates from Hercules, so it's not surprising that Idia is a major fan. Though no more information has appeared since, it's still information into the twst world.
Cater would absolutely listen to twst!Blackpink, that is now canon to LiT I'm declaring it here
Specially made headphones to accommodate beastfolk ans fae with sensitive ears 😭
I don't think merfolk live in an area that humans are allowed to boat though 🤔 or, at least, they're too far down for it to matter.
But both sides make sense! Sound travels differently underwater. So the Octa boys definitely still might react to sound differently than a beastman.
I read a really good chat fic a while back where Twst had it's own version of out popular media, so I've long decided that yes, all of these have existed or currently exist in some capacity in twst if the equivalent of Instagram exists. It's just Magicam is the biggest, instead of twst!Facebook or Twitter, since photography seems like a big thing in twst if you have things like the Ghost Camera.
