oc introduction
> dunno what to post nowadays, might just introduce some ocs > *everything written in asterisks mean potential spoilers* > all characters will have titles on the side so u can keep up but will be written in abbreviations
starting with the main characters: (i have multiple stories so maybe keep up)
Jon Chrisman (from JCaTE) - His story goes on another world where he isn't the stereotypical "woah im surprisingly strong in this world" and tries to survive the chaotic world around him. - First meets this one guy who likes to wander around the world's most dangerous forest and gets them both out of there only to find out they need to separate *due to reasons* - Meets an innkeeper who befriends him, takes him on "fun" adventures that almost killed him - Befriends tons of important people in that story that ended up having him the most important person in the story (does that make sense?)
James Mallack (from TBC) - Wakes up from his sleep, apocalypse has started - Dude has amnesia, can't remember who he is - Falls down an elevator shaft because dumb - Survives but has to survive the apocalypse injured Frank Martel (from TJA) - Teenage personification of anxiety. - Tries to become social with peers but ends up being bullied by this one guy - Fights off that guy but ends up in the principal's office (oof) - Finds a journal in the office and steals it (the journal is from a student, not the principal lol) Alexander Halem (from Kingdoms) (it's only one word so might as well keep it) - The greatest general of his time - Though because of that title, he is forced to pick a side in a rebellion - He once freed his kingdom twice from an uprising but apparently can't stop this one Blake Murphy (from Psychic) (also another one word title) - The youngest from a family of Psychics - Second-most powerful from the four family members - Watched his own brother die get killed by his father - Mom is missing and they can't find her - Dad is evil, might as well run away - Meets the most badass people and gives them powers - Accidentally creates the most goofy hero squad the world has ever seen - tldr; omnipotent boi gets trauma, runs away, builds him own hero squad to defeat his father Tyler Magnus (from C#5) (the C is a word, i just didn't reveal it y'all) - The only person in the family who appreciates swordsmanship while others used guns - Lives in a zombie apocalypse but super chill about it - The world has moved on from the zombies except they still exist - Turns out co-existing with them is bad so they have to fight the undead one more time - cAn He AnD hIs FaMiLy SuRvIvE tHe ApOcAlYpSe??? - tldr; sword boi tries to survive the apocalypse with his family

And Baby Makes Seven (10/?)
Things don’t always go as planned. Faced with an unexpected pregnancy, James and Rose have to work quickly to get everything prepared for their fifth child, and to prepare their eldest children for a new addition to the family. Ten x Rose AU, Soulmates AU. Tagging @doctorroseprompts
This chapter: teen, 5200 words
Ages of the Tyler-McCrimmons at the start of the chapter: James: 39, Rose: 34, Ainsley: 9, Sianin: 6, Twins: 7.5 months
If you like reading my stories, consider leaving me a tip? Or leave a reply on this post to tell me what you thought? And as always, reblogs are very much appreciated so more people can see this.

Now that Ainsley had been let in on the secret of the new baby, Rose and James didn’t need to work as hard to uphold the facade. Sianin, bless her little heart, had no idea what was going on, but was glad that her mum wanted to laze around the house, which translated into Sianin getting plenty of snuggles on the sofa as they watched cartoons.
James seemed to be taking “over-protective” to a whole new level. He jumped at the chance to care for their children, either taking over or joining Rose in all bedtime routines. If a twin awoke in the middle of the night, he sprang out of bed before her groggy brain could even realize Hannah or Maddie had made a sound.
But when she brought it up to him, he flashed her a charming grin that never failed to melt her, and simply asked, “You’re upset that I want to care for my children?”
And really, when he put it like that, her irritation with him evaporated. She had to keep reminding him to let her help, though, lest the twins forget they had a mother.
James and Rose also used the opportunity to place more responsibilities on Sianin’s shoulders, to the girl’s displeasure. Since Rose wasn’t supposed to do most of the normal household chores, James taught Sianin how to vacuum, wash the floors, and a host of other minor but daily tasks.
Rose, though guilty that she was lounging around the house all day when she ought to be cleaning, was glad that Sianin was at least performing the tasks James assigned to her with minimal complaining.
Ainsley, meanwhile, took it upon herself to help her dad with anything he was doing and to check in with her mum to see if Rose needed anything.
“How long d’you have to rest for?” Ainsley asked as she settled in with Rose and Maddie on the couch for her nightly reading. Hannah was already in her crib for the night, but Maddie was stubbornly refusing to fall asleep in favor of getting snuggles and kisses from her mother.
“A few weeks,” Rose replied, blotting at the drool dripping down her baby’s chin with her jumper sleeve. Maddie scrunched her nose and turned her face away. “We’ve got a follow-up appointment next week to check the status of the bleed.”
Ainsley tilted her head to the side. “Why do you always do that? Make it plural? You said we’ve got an appointment, not I’ve got an appointment.”
Rose snorted. “You’re right. But your dad is joining me at the appointment. Plus, it’s an appointment to check on the baby, who is both his and mine. It feels wrong to claim sole ownership.”
“That’s actually really cute,” Ainsley admitted. She sighed dreamily. “Dad takes such good care of you when you’re unwell.”
A flood of adoration overtook Rose, squeezing her chest until inexplicable tears burned her eyes. She listened to her husband, who was in the kitchen assembling the girls’ lunches for tomorrow. He was humming to himself as he worked, the notes slightly flat and offkey.
“Yeah, he does,” Rose croaked.
“I hope I find someone just like him one day,” Ainsley said with a wistful sigh.
“I hope that for you, too.” Rose kissed Ainsley’s temple. “I hope that for all of my children.”
“How do you think it’ll work with Sianin and her soulmates?”
“What do you mean?”
Ainsley shrugged. “It’s hard to imagine having two soulmates. How can she love two people as equally and intensely as you love Dad?”
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, eh? Who knows whether Sianin’s relationship with Elena and Juliette will evolve into a romantic one.”
“I suppose,” Ainsley allowed. “But for argument’s sake, how would it work if they decided to let it be romantic? It seems so strange to be involved in a relationship with two people.”
“Strange as it might be to you, it’s normal for others. Love in all its forms is a beautiful thing, remember that.”
“It feels like it would be hard to make sure you aren’t showing favoritism to one versus another,” Ainsley said.
“Well, your dad and I have four children—we love you all with equal intensity and try not to show favoritism. I imagine it’s something similar.”
“Hmm. I don’t think I would want to be in a relationship with more than one person,” Ainsley admitted. “I want one person who is mine, and mine alone.”
“That’s perfectly reasonable,” Rose said. “You need to decide what works for you, just as Sianin will decide what works for her.”
Ainsley was quiet for several long seconds, but Rose could practically hear her daughter’s mind churning. While she let Ainsley think, she used the time to give kisses to the baby in her arms. The baby was finally getting drowsy; she had her cheek planted above Rose’s left breast, and her head rose and fell with her mother’s breaths. Any time Maddie’s eyes began to droop shut, she wrenched them open and gazed up at her mother.
Being the singular focus of her baby’s attention always made her heart squeeze with love and gratitude. She was the whole world to this tiny, perfect little human, and for a moment, as Rose got lost in her baby’s blue eyes, Maddie was her whole world, too.
“Do you think her eyes will stay blue?” Ainsley asked.
“I think so,” Rose said. “Usually if they change, they would’ve changed by now. All of my babies’ eyes started out blue. In Sianin’s case, they turned brown after a couple months. Yours stayed more or less the same color. And the twins’ appear to be brightening… they kind of look like Gran’s, don’t they?”
Ainsley peered down at Maddie. The baby shifted her sleepy eyes to her big sister, and offered a smile that widened into a yawn. Ainsley snorted and rubbed Maddie’s back. The baby grunted and wiggled around before face-planting into the crevice between Rose’s breasts.
“Silly girl,” Ainsley murmured. “Yeah, they do look like Gran’s. How does that work? I mean, I sort of know how it works. But her DNA is half you, half Dad, and yet she has Gran’s eyes. And apparently I look like Dad’s mum.”
“My DNA is half my mum and dad, and your dad’s DNA is half his mum and dad,” Rose said. “There are bits of all of our past family swirling inside of us, and it’s a lottery draw as to which traits get passed on to a baby.”
“That’s kind of neat,” Ainsley said. “It’s so fascinating that so many things have to happen perfectly to create a baby.” She paused, then continued in a rush, “We had the talk at school today. Y’know, how the girls and boys should be starting puberty soon, if they haven’t started already. One girl in my class had her first period months ago, which is mad. She’s nine! They also explained how in a couple years we’ll all be sexually mature and be able to make babies and so we all have to be very, very careful to prevent unwanted pregnancies as we’re exploring our bodies.
“They went over how a baby is made. Just the basics. Y’know, penis in vagina, sperm meets egg equals baby. I didn’t know that men released millions and millions of sperm when they had sex. That seems like overkill, doesn’t it?”
“What seems like overkill?”
Rose jumped at the sound of James’s voice right behind her. Her mind whirred, trying to wrap itself around the sudden turn their conversation had taken, as well as the fact that her baby was old enough to be learning the basics of human reproduction in school already.
“Did you know you made and released millions of sperm at a time when you have sex?” Ainsley asked, her eyes bright.
James was silent for a beat, cheeks pinkening and mouth going slack. He cleared his throat. “Er… yeah. Yeah, I did know that. But where did you learn that?”
“They gave us the talk in school.”
“Ah,” he said, wincing.
“Why do you make millions of sperm when only one will actually fertilize the egg?” Ainsley asked, cocking her head to the side. She then glanced down at Maddie, who was drooling into Rose’s shirt. “Er, or I guess two?”
“Actually, it was just one sperm,” Rose corrected.
Ainsley frowned. “But… there are two babies.”
“But they’re identical,” James said. “Genetically, they’re the same. Basically, one of my sperm met your mum’s egg, then that egg divided somewhat incorrectly to begin producing two separate babies with the same exact genetic code.”
“Oh. So your egg accidentally made a clone of itself?”
Rose snorted. “Something like that.”
Ainsley looked impressed. Then she said, “But still. Why make millions of sperm? That’s a bit wasteful, isn’t it?”
“It’s all about statistics,” James answered, scrubbing at the back of his neck. “Would you rather try to hit a target with one arrow or many? What if that one arrow is defective somehow? Or your aim is slightly off? By releasing tens of millions of sperm in one go, you increase the odds of fertilization; and the egg can be a bit choosier by only allowing the strongest of the bunch to fertilize it and begin making a baby.”
“Oh. That makes a lot of sense, actually,” Ainsley said. “What stops all of the sperm from penetrating the egg and creating a million babies?”
“Once a sperm meets the egg, it basically walls itself off from getting fertilized again,” James explained. “When sperm meets egg, a biological cascade effect begins. The woman’s egg recognizes it’s been fertilized, so it begins producing chemicals and hormones that tell the rest of the body to prepare for the oncoming baby. And it shuts down egg production so there’s no chance of multiple fertilized eggs trying to grow a baby after one is already growing. Imagine how cramped it would get in there. And imagine how hard it would be on the woman to have multiple babies all at different stages of development in her uterus. Evolution has figured out how to control everything so that doesn’t happen.”
“That’s so cool,” Ainsley said.
“It is a bit cool,” James said, smiling.
“It’s weird that women are born with all the eggs they’ll ever have, but men keep making more and more sperm ‘til they die. That’s way more efficient. What if something happens to the woman and her egg supply is damaged? At least with men, they can regenerate their sperm.” Ainsley cocked her head at her father. “In theory, you could help make a baby when you’re a hundred, right?”
James choked. “I… well… yes, technically. But my baby-making partner would also be a hundred—well, ninety-five—and since she would no longer be fertile, I wouldn’t be helping to make any more babies. Besides, the… ehm… the quality of sperm deteriorates over time. It’s not usually a good idea to procreate after a certain age. And, ehm… the act of making a baby gets… ehm… more difficult in old age. So… ehm… I’m not sure we’d… that we’d… Although I would truly love to be with your mother in that way in our old age, statistically it’s not all that probable so I’m not really expecting to… not that I wouldn’t want to… but…”
Rose kneaded the heel of her hand into her eyes as James’s gob ran without stop and without filter. She eventually reached over and pinched him. He squeaked, but snapped his mouth shut. Ainsley, meanwhile, was in stitches on the sofa, cackling madly as both her parents’ cheeks blazed.
oOoOo
Two weeks and two days after learning she had subchorionic hemorrhage, Rose walked into her OB-GYN, this time with her husband at her side. Despite the fact that her bleeding and cramping had stopped nearly a week ago, she was a little nervous to see what Elizabeth would have to say.
James must have sensed her anxiety, because he threaded their fingers together and rubbed at the back of her thumb while they waited for Rose’s name to be called. He talked to her about nothing in particular, filling the silence between them. Rose let the soothing rhythm of his voice calm her until Elizabeth appeared in the waiting room and called name, gesturing for her to follow.
“How are you feeling?” the midwife asked as she took Rose’s height and weight. “You’ve lost some weight since I saw you two weeks ago. Nothing worrying, but something to keep an eye on. Especially since you ought to be putting on weight as your pregnancy progresses.”
“My appetite is still finicky,” Rose admitted. “Nausea is mostly gone though. I’m hoping that will help. But otherwise, I feel fine.”
“Any bleeding? Cramping? Dizziness?”
Rose shook her head and stepped off the scale, following Elizabeth down the corridor to an exam room. James followed silently and settled into the chair beside the exam table. An ultrasound machine already sat in the corner of the room, and, familiar with the routine, Rose reclined on the table and exposed her belly.
Déjà vu settled over her as she remembered the utter terror of two weeks ago, certain her midwife was about to confirm her worst fear. Her pulse thundered in her ears and she began to tremble as her mind warred with itself, half of it trying to calm her, and the other half spinning out of control. James scooted his chair closer to her and leaned his elbow onto the table above her head. His warmth and scent surrounded her.
“You’re okay, love,” he whispered, kissing her forehead softly. “You’re okay. I’m here.”
“What a cute little bump,” Elizabeth cooed, squirting cool gel onto said bump between Rose’s hips. “Let’s see the cute little baby inside it, eh?”
Rose reached over and grabbed James’s free hand, linking their fingers together and squeezing tightly. He bent down to kiss her forehead again, then he brought their joined hands to his mouth to kiss her knuckles one at a time.
“Here we are,” Elizabeth said, tapping a few buttons into her keyboard.
Rose looked at the monitor and her heart clenched at the sight of her baby. They seemed to be about the same size as before, but Elizabeth was pleased with the baby’s appearance.
“They’re rather active,” the midwife noted, readjusting the probe when the shifting baby went out of focus. “Are you able to feel them, Rose?”
“Not yet,” she croaked. She desperately wanted to, though. She wanted that little flutter of life between her hips. She wanted the undeniable proof that her baby was alive and healthy and growing, because what if the scan was somehow wrong? Rose squeezed her eyes shut and focused deep within herself, trying to sense any ripple of movement in her uterus.
Her eyes shot open when the midwife tapped a few buttons and the heartbeat echoed around the room.
James let out a soft, “Oh,” his grip on her hand turning vice-like.
Rose glanced up at her husband, but his gaze was locked on the monitor, his eyes glassy with unshed tears. The sight of them made her own eyes prickle. She would never tire of seeing the awe on his face as he beheld their children. He treated each day with their kids as though it was the most precious gift he’d been given; this baby was no exception, and Rose could already see how in love her husband was with the tiny fetus inside her. She could plainly see him, seven months from now, weeping as he held their newborn for the first time, curling his body around theirs as though he could physically shield their baby from any harm the world might bring to them. She could see him sitting with the baby in the dead of night, half asleep himself, yet holding their small child to his chest as he rocked them.
God, she wanted that, was impatient for these visions to come true. Even though she regularly saw him holding and snuggling the children they already had, Rose was desperate to give him his fifth child and bring completion to their not-so-little-anymore family.
“Our baby looks healthy,” James said, his voice hoarse. Rose blinked away the visions in her mind’s eye and was brought back to the present, where her husband was no longer looking at the baby on the screen, but rather down at Rose. She flashed him a small smile that he returned before he focused on the midwife, his gaze intense. “But how is Rose? How is the hemorrhage? Is she healthy and safe?”
“Let’s take a look at that next.” Elizabeth zoomed out away from the baby, and instead shifted the focus of the ultrasound probe to the gray masses surrounding the baby. “Here we go.”
After taking a few seconds to orient James and Rose to what she was talking about, Elizabeth pointed to a black blob along the edge of the placenta. “Here’s the clot. And yes, it is just a clot now. It appears to no longer be actively bleeding, which is excellent news. The placenta is intact, which is also great news. Sometimes a concern is that the bleeding will cause the placenta to pull away from the uterine wall, but that is not the case here. I am very, very happy with what I’m seeing.”
Rose let out a deep breath. James, too, relaxed a fraction.
“Can I go back to business as usual?” Rose asked.
“Let’s not be hasty,” James answered instead.
“I wasn’t asking you,” Rose drawled, reaching up to pat his cheek.
Elizabeth pursed her lips around a grin. She wiped the expression off her face and said, “I see no reason why not. Obviously you are limited as any other pregnant woman is, and I would try to take it easy for the next couple weeks as the clot dissolves, but yes, you should be able to resume all activities as normal.”
Rose was fairly certain she’d read between the lines correctly, yet she asked, “Sex too?”
James let out a little squeak that had Rose rolling her eyes. Elizabeth’s entire profession revolved around people having had biologically-successful sex. They themselves were here because they’d had successful sex. Nutter.
“Yes, you may resume your sexual activities,” the midwife answered.
Rose nodded. She hadn’t been in the mood for sex lately, too concerned was she with the baby and will following the instructions to rest. She knew that James’s sex drive had mirrored her own in his double concern for her and the baby. While she still didn’t have the desire to drag James straight into bed when they got home, Rose was glad it was at least an option, if the mood struck. She’d find other ways to satisfy James if or when his sex drive returned while hers remained elusive.
“Is Rose okay to travel?” James asked. “We were planning to take the kids up to Scotland for half-term break next week. Probably travelling by train.”
“I’ve been cleared to shag your brains out, but no, the movement of a train will be far too vigorous for my delicate condition,” Rose muttered out of the corner of her mouth.
James flicked her nose but didn’t reply.
“Yes, she should be fine,” Elizabeth said, pretending not to have heard their exchange. “Just listen to your body, Rose. It will do a good job of telling you what it needs. Try not to overexert. Rest when you’re tired. Make sure you’re getting enough vitamins and nutrients. Things like that.”
“Thanks,” Rose said. “And while we’re talking about it, do you happen to have any connections with midwives in Scotland? Near Glasgow? James and I are going to be relocating our family. The move isn’t happening next week or anything; we’re getting the kids used to the area and the house we’ll be moving into.”
“And you say I’m chatty,” James teased.
Rose rolled her eyes.
“Funnily enough, I do,” Elizabeth said. “One of my very close friends. We went to school together. I can send you her contact information, as I don’t have it on hand right now. I can also reach out to her to see if she can see you next week, if you’d like? A consultation visit, mostly, assuming she is taking new patients and is near enough to where you’ll be living.”
“That’d be brilliant, Rose said, accepting the moist towels the midwife handed to her and cleaning off her belly.
Elizabeth made a few notes on her computer, then printed out another scan of the baby for them, despite them having one from two weeks ago. She also scheduled Rose’s twenty-week appointment, which would be shortly after the holidays. Rose was already impatient for January sixth to be here; it would be the appointment when she and James would learn the sex of their baby, something Rose always loved learning. But this time was the added game of being able to tease James for his apparent inability to produce a Y-chromosomed sperm. As though that was something he could control. (A fact he liked to remind her of often.)
“As always, you can call us if there are any questions or concerns,” Elizabeth said as she walked them to the front lobby. “But I’m very pleased with everything I’ve seen today.”
After thanking her, James slipped his fingers between Rose’s and guided her out to their car.
oOoOo
The following week, James and Rose willed themselves to have endless reserves of patience as they readied their children for the trip to Scotland. It felt like they had to pack up their entire house to ensure they had enough supplies for all the kids, including toys and games in addition to the endless articles of clothing.
Robert, bless him, was accompanying them, to help with child care and to give his opinion on the work they might want done to the manor house. James had reached out to half a dozen different remodeling companies to have them come out and take a look at the work he and Rose wanted done; they were due to arrive at the end of the week, since James and Rose wanted the first few days to walk around the house and make lists of repairs and upgrades that could be done, both internally and externally to the grounds.
The train ride went as well as could be expected when travelling with four children. Ainsley was content to read for the entire journey, but Sianin loudly proclaimed she was bored barely an hour into the trip. The twins were awake and wanting to crawl around, but there was only so much space in the compartment car. James, Rose, and Robert took turns walking a fussing baby up and down the length of the train, introducing the infant to cooing passengers who fawned over how beautiful she was. The passengers were extra delighted to realize they were identical twins.
Finally, the train docked in Glasgow, where the Tyler-McCrimmons picked up a rental vehicle and made the half-hour drive out of the city proper to the manor house.
The excitement at the prospect of permanently living in the “castle” evaporated Ainsley and Sianin’s travel exhaustion. As soon as James unlocked the front door, they bolted inside and began chattering to each other about where their playroom should be and calling dibs on the bedrooms.
“I want this one,” Sianin announced, gesturing to the master suite.
“That one is off-limits,” James said lightly, tweaking the end of her braid. “Available to mummies and daddies only. Same with the guest suite on the other side. That’s for when Gran or Grandad stay to visit.”
Sianin deflated a bit, but perked back up when James reminded her that there were plenty of other bedrooms to choose from.
Rose, meanwhile, immediately began to visualize how she would decorate. The current color scheme of the manor was dark, but not gloomily so. Even still, Rose thought that brightening the wall colors from burgundy to a rich cream or ivory would help open up the space and blend the rooms together. It would also make the house feel cleaner, and with five children tearing it apart, Rose knew she and James could use all the help they could get in that department.
The floors were in excellent shape, having been replaced shortly after Ainsley was born. Robert had come to her and James when he was having the work performed so they could help pick out the color and style of the various hardwood, tile, and carpeted floors in all of the rooms. Belatedly, Rose realized that Robert had done so because he knew this home would belong to them in the near future.
From the foyer, which was lit from the warm glow of the chandelier hanging from the high ceiling, Rose stared straight ahead into the formal dining room that used to be a ballroom; the kitchen extended beyond that through a set of wide oak doors that were currently closed. She already knew that the kitchen was huge and open, thanks to James’s grandmother having remodeled it to use up more of the defunct ballroom space. The kitchen housed a long table that would easily fit their large family; therefore, the formal dining room wouldn’t be necessary until they hosted holidays or had friends over. Otherwise, that could easily be a place for the children to do their homework.
To her right was what used to be a receiving room, but had evolved over the last century to be the living room. It was already furnished with a couch, a love seat, and a few reclining chairs placed strategically around a television. A fireplace sat along the far wall, and Rose could already see herself sitting in the rocking reclining chair and nursing her new baby, or snuggling with one of her other four children or husband as the fire crackled merrily beside them. Goosebumps prickled along Rose’s skin at the thought of her and James making love by the fireplace, a vision straight out of a Victorian romance novel.
Blinking away that fantasy for the time being, Rose continued her mental mapping of the manor. Behind the living room was another room that had been a different receiving room—most likely, she presumed, a space for the gentlemen when the ladies had overtaken the first receiving room. Because God forbid men enjoy their wives’ presence.
James’s parents had converted that into a study area for James; Rose thought it would make a nice playroom for their family. It had plenty of room to store the kids’ endless number of toys, and it had a closet where they could keep their games. The flooring in there was currently hardwood; Rose made a mental note to chat with James about replacing it with something softer.
Extending beyond the living room was a narrow hallway that opened up to what had once been servants’ quarters. Rose knew that James’s grandmother had remodeled it and created a larger footprint, converting the area into a spacious a guest suite; it was where Robert always slept when he visited, unable to stomach being in the master bedroom ever since he’d lost his wife.
To the left of the foyer was a long, wide corridor with several rooms branching off of it. One of those rooms was a library that Rose already knew Ainsley would practically make her second bedroom. Rose planned to outfit the room with a variety of comfortable furniture and a desk. Directly beside the library and connected with a door was a formal study; she figured James would like to make that his space, filling it with textbooks and knickknacks and turning it into a place he could mark papers and exams on the weekends or weeknights.
Directly beside the study and again connected through a set of doors was a secondary study. This one was at the end of the manor, and therefore had windows on the two external walls. It was filled with plenty of natural lighting and Rose thought it would make a perfect place for her to set up her art studio.
On the opposite side of the corridor from the library and studies were a series of small rooms. There was a half bath that was mostly just a closet with a toilet and a sink, and two small rooms that Rose genuinely didn’t know the purpose of. They were far too big to be closets, but a tad too small to be bedrooms. Rose didn’t care what they used to be; instead, she planned to make the rooms a nursery: one for the twins, until they were big enough for proper beds, and the other for the new baby. It would be perfect, since the last room at the end of the corridor was the master suite.
Rose already knew the suite was enormous, yet it took her breath away to behold it. The room would easily fit their king-sized bed and all of their bedroom furniture, and still have room for more. Perhaps they could put a cushy rocking chair in this room as well as the nurseries; there could never be enough cozy furniture to cuddle her children, Rose thought.
There was a giant walk-in closet connected to the bedroom, as well as a double-vanity ensuite. The bathroom, too, was huge, outfitted with a tub and a walk-in shower stall; both the tub and shower had plenty of room for her and James to share, which would be perfect for intimate date nights.
Moving from room to room, Rose catalogued how she would arrange furniture and paint colors that would look good in each room and blend the entire ground floor of the house together. She took note of the flooring, and which rooms should be outfitted with carpets rather than hardwood floors or tile, or vice versa. When she and James helped Robert pick out the floors, they’d only had Ainsley; at the time, she hadn’t been able to imagine having five children. Now, she couldn’t imagine anything differently.
“I can see that beautiful mind of yours at work already.” James came up behind her as she weighed whether the library ought to be carpeted or left as it was with hardwood floor. He wrapped his arms around her waist and casually splayed a palm on her lower belly, kissing the side of her neck and sending pleasant tingles across her skin. “What are you thinking?”
Rose leaned into him, tilting her head back to catch his gaze. His eyes were bright with joy and soft with love; she found herself falling in love with him all over again. She turned in his arms, draping her forearms over his shoulders.
“I’m thinking,” she murmured, pushing up onto her toes so that her mouth hovered mere inches from his, “that this already feels like home.”
And though she planted a kiss to his lips as she finished speaking, his answering smile was dazzling.

A Year in Advance - 2021 goals/plan
Heya Everyone, I hope your day is going well!
I thought it was time to update everyone on my writing plan and goals for this year (2021).
Reach 50 completed Gif drabbles... I’m currently two off, and have exactly two gifs in my inbox, so hopefully this will be achieved soon.
Reach 100 completed Gif drabbles! I’m going to need your help for this one! I’m short approximately 50 gifs to achieve this, so please send me gifs of characters you’d like to see me write, it can be one I have already done as well, I’m happy to do something new for the same Gif. I am also working on writing something that’s actually drabble size, and not a small oneshot.
Keep sharing my work with you all! The series and one shots that have filled my google drive and have never been seen outside of my friend group. Also any new work that I do.
I am totally open to you sending me requests, head cannons, ideas, anything, even if you just want to chat!
If anyone is waiting on more of/another part of an already posted fic, or you spot a character/show you’d like to see past work on, please let me know, I can boost that up the priority list (aka remember that I was working on that, and switch WIP’s/post the next part if it’s done and I forgot to post it) ((I have memory issues... March 2021 Roundup
Reading
Benevolence by Julie Janson - One of those books that caught my eye at the library (I’m a sucker for the “top picks” shelf) and I’m glad I picked up. The story of Muraging, given over in 1813 to the Parramatta Native School, but always trying to find a way back to her family and culture in the brutal early days of colonisation - resilient in the face of so much hardship. Janson is a Burruberongal woman of the Durag Aboriginal Nation, and Muraging is based on her great-great grandmother and Durag oral histories. An engrossing but often difficult read, about a period of history not often told from this perspective.
One Day by David Nicholls - A book that has been sitting on my bookshelf for so long I don’t even remember buying it. I vaguely recall seeing the movie adaptation on a plane once so must have enjoyed it, but can’t say I would recommend this book. Depicting St Swithin’s Day every year in the lives of two absolute character cliches, from one night stand, to friendship, romance and marriage. The concept is neat and the writing has wit, but I just couldn’t bring myself to care about Dex (insufferable twat) and Emma (not like other girls) or their love story. Okay, it’s not that bad. It kind of grew on me by the end.
Watching
Superman and Lois (episodes 1-5) - I’ve had reservations about this show because of this but am giving it a shot. I have not followed the Arrowverse/Crisis but a friend did her best to explain it to me, although honestly I found it this show works just as well as a standalone. The premise is simple - Lois and Clark return to Smallville with their twin sons for teen superhero angst part two. To be honest, it feels so much like a Smallville revival that...I kind of wish it was?
Tyler Hoechlin makes a good Clark, but that padded Superman suit is an embarrassment - get rid of those fake muscles and show us some super collarbones! Elizabeth Tulloch is growing on me as Lois - she’s very...subdued, but imo lacking that spark Kidder, Hatcher, and Durance had. Honestly, subdued it how I would describe the show overall. Also the colour palette is sooo drab because gritty realism I guess.
I enjoy the family drama aspect of it, although I wish one of the kids was a girl. I mean, I understand why they’re twin boys - the son becomes the father and the father the son and all that - complete with both sons being named after both of Clark’s fathers (is there a name for the trope of the hero’s kids being named after his dead family/mentors as if the mother had no input??). The Captain Luthor/Morgan Edge plots are still in the setup stage so hard to comment on them.
I sound harsh, I don’t dislike the show overall (and there’s some really good elements there). We’ll see, I guess.
Man of Steel/Batman v Superman/Zack Snyder’s Justice League - I’ve never really been a huge fan of the Snyderverse, and have been trying my best to avoid the Discourse about the Snyder cut over the past few years (from both sides). I have however been following what Ray Fisher has had to say, and can’t deny my interest was piqued by the idea that there was an entirely different film out there that did right by its characters. So I went back and revisited MoS/BvS before embarking on JL to give the franchise another shot.
While I still don’t really vibe with Snyder’s aesthetic (it’s just a bit bleak and muddy for me) I think these films are actually better when viewed together as one long story. I can appreciate that he made an effort to step away from the Donner nostalgia, and tell this epic modern myth of gods among men, and can enjoy it for what it is. The Snyder cut was entertaining enough, and I quite enjoyed aspects of it - Cyborg is indeed the heart of the film (but I honestly wish it had been explored in his own movie), and Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Flash break up the dreary tone.
It was nice to see the Amazons again (and I loved “Amazon’s, show your fear”/“we have no fear”). I like this take on Clark and Lois, even if most of the relationship happens offscreen, and there’s certainly more in the Snyder cut - even if I wish there was greater depth to Clark’s arc in particular, less of the god and more of the man.
I did however notice a pattern in these films in that I was interested/compelled by the first world building/character half, and having my eyes glaze over in the endless action cgi-fest of the second half (I have this issue with Marvel too). And the Snyder cut is indeed endless - it rivals Return of the King for number of endings but is much less cohesive, like Snyder was throwing everything at the wall since this might be his last chance. There’s a nice montage at the end with a bit of hope, and I was thinking well this is a nice uplifting note to end on, thank you! But nope, twenty more minutes of grimdark prophecising (in isolation, an interesting scene, but felt so out of place to show the team torn apart again immediately after we’ve just seen them come back together).
I also lol’d at David Thewlis getting a front credit for what amounted to his cgi face behind a massive helmet. Collect that paycheck, my man!
Coming 2 America - I watched the original as a teenager more times than I can count, truly iconic. Look, I dislike the sequel/reboot/remake merry go round when it dominates the scene, but to be honest I am a sucker for a sequel that’s lovingly made and really just an excuse to get the band back together and have fun. Worth it for the costumes and dance sequences alone (especially the En Vogue/Salt n Pepper/Gladys Knight mashup), but I really enjoyed this overall. There’s nothing groundbreaking and it doesn’t try to be. Was it necessary? No. But did I enjoy it? Absolutely.
Actually, scratch that. The costumes and hair are absolutely necessary.
The Prom (dir. Ryan Murphy) - Now I love a movie musical and this was...fine. It’s sweet and I enjoyed Meryl Streep doing her best Patti Lupone, and Nicole Kidman clearly having fun (even if she can’t Fosse to save her life) although I can’t say I found any of the songs memorable. James Corden, however, is pure cringe for reasons outlined here. But overall it’s light and fluffy, and not a terrible way to spend two hours of your life.
Superstore (seasons 1-6) - I’ve been binging on this for a while, and it’s a fun little show about the employees of a big box store - it’s nice to see America Ferrera back on screen (with producer credit). A great, diverse cast, but MVPs for me are Lauren Ash as Dina (you may recognise her voice as Scorpia from She-Ra), and Kaliko Kauahi as Sandra. While it did touch on some real-world issues - corporation malfeasance, unionisation, etc - ultimately it’s lighthearted and pleasant, especially the series finale that just goes full happy ending with a nice break from grim reality.
Allen v Farrow (dir. Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering) - I’ve never watched a Woody Allen film, and the clips I’ve seen of Woody Allen films haven’t changed my mind on this point. But what struck me seeing the clips of Manhattan in this documentary is just how young Muriel Hemingway was - this is not the Hollywood standard 22 year old playing 17 (which is problematic in other ways) but an actual teenager with a baby face and childlike voice, in bed with a 40+ year old man and I am baffled that this film is so highly regarded - if nothing else it’s right up there on the screen.
But of course there is so much else, which makes this documentary hard to watch at times. To those who have followed these events there’s not much new here, but it does an excellent job of compiling the sources together and giving a timeline of events, as well as refuting many of the pro-Allen arguments, and giving Dylan a chance to speak for herself. There’s also a companion podcast which is worth a listen for added perspective.
Writing
I actually finished something, finally! Posted Debrief, a Smallville one-shot (3920 words). 1670 words done on my other Smallville wip.
Posted chapter 41 of Turn Your Face to the Sun (1865 words). Now that the Obi-Wan show is actually happening, I need to get this finished before it all becomes moot.
Total: 7455 words this month, making 23,962 for the year.

tension between the ascendant and midheaven; part one
many people will have their ascendant and midheaven signs square one another in their charts, meaning the signs will be of the same quality (cardinal, fixed, mutable). the struggle presents itself due to the ascendant's presentation of identity and approach to life, vs. the midheaven’s presentation of the person’s desired public image, i.e. the person they wish to become, or wish to be viewed as.
this post applies to charts that don’t necessarily have the ascendant and midheaven aspecting one another (as we’re looking more so at how the signs present themselves in these positions), however the tension will present more strongly should they aspect.
aries ascendant -- capricorn midheaven
aries risings tend to come off as the more boisterous of the bunch. the heads of the zodiac, they have a “large and in charge” attitude, as they’re fiercely independent and enthusiastic. they keep their emotions within arm’s reach, and can come off as aggressive or blunt, or bubbly and sensitive -- they’re highly reactive to their surroundings. they’re the first leaders of the zodiac, and they know it; they’re also known as the “children” of the zodiac, and can come off as impulsive.
the capricorn midheaven, on the other hand, wishes to be more subdued -- its saturn influence shies away from aries’ temperament. while aries wants to have fun and get involved with others, capricorn tends to be more inwardly-focused; he wants to sit down, gather himself, and get to work. capricorn has a more serious demeanor that screams “business,” which is often read as being more mature. growing into this midheaven will mean toning down some of the rising’s brashness and gaining self-control over their reactive emotions.
how they work together: they’re both cardinal signs, which means they’re ambitious and looking to start projects. aries’ fiery enthusiasm and capricorn’s earthy steadfast work habits can form a powerhouse once the person has a clear focus on what they want to do. others can see this person as fun and bold, while also being able to get serious and down to work.
people with these placements: aisha tyler, joseph gordon-levitt, brie larson, hunter s. thompson, louis armstrong, lin-manuel miranda, stevie nicks
taurus ascendant -- aquarius midheaven
taurus risings tend to have a practical, gentle aura about them that manifests as moving somewhat slowly through the world. they take their time to smell the roses -- ruled by venus, they appreciate beauty and possessions. but they’re cautious as well, which can give off an “old school” vibe as it encourages sticking to traditions and what is known. practicality is their middle name, and they tend to look long and hard before they leap.
the aquarius midheaven wants to take that caution and throw it to the wind. it tends to embody the things that taurus is wary of: innovation, progression, novelty, and rebellion. aquarius here can feel agitated by taurus’ seeming inability to move, and wants to push taurus out of her comfort zone. aquarius wants to take what is known and flip it on its head, wanting to take action. growing into this midheaven will mean getting past a discomfort with the unknown, and looking past traditions to explore what could be.
how they work together: this is a balancing act between caution and rebellion. too much caution can leave one stagnant, while too much rebellion can be reckless. striking a balance can assist in the person taking much-needed risks, while also keeping a level head in how they pursue changes in their lives. others may see this person as timeless and calm, with minds that produce innovative and rebellious work.
people with these placements: toni morrison, carl sagan, peter jackson, ronda rousey, gene wilder, george r.r. martin, miley cyrus
gemini ascendant -- pisces midheaven
gemini risings tend to be social and chatty, yet detached, jittery, and even nervous. as the first air sign, they can be particularly hard to pin down; they just want to keep things lighthearted and fun. they’re intrigued by the fast pace of life, the coming and going of trends, topics, and fashions. they’re also focused on the intellectual side of things, and can be sponges gathering information. they tend not to dwell too deeply on things.
the pisces midheaven can struggle with gemini’s detachment on some level, as this is an emotional, deeply sensitive sign. this isn’t to say that pisces isn’t detached themselves -- they can seem to be off in their own worlds -- but their tendency to get deep into emotional ventures can make airy gemini shy away. gemini’s lightheartedness and attraction towards novelty clashes with pisces’ “old soul” nature. growing into this midheaven will mean accepting these deeper inclinations and slowing down a little to dwell on the emotional side of things, as well as the intellectual.
how they work together: as mutable signs, these two are very flexible, and are able to adapt to what life gives them. they’re both highly creative, with gemini’s need for novelty and pisces’ neptunian affinity for art and music. pisces brings some depth to gemini’s lightheartedness, while gemini can keep things moving so pisces doesn’t dwell too long. others may see this person as fun and fast-paced, with soulful, meaningful work in the arts or with helping others.
people with these placements: kamala harris, ricky martin, ben stiller, julianne moore, lebron james, rupaul, ally sheedy, katey sagal
cancer ascendant -- aries midheaven
cancer risings tend to have a soft and shy outer shell, while keeping their rather strong emotions on the inside. this is a placement about nurture and comfort, both needing to bring comfort to themselves as well as to those they’re close to. they can be prone to moodiness thanks to its moon rulership, and find their emotions are easily swayed by their given situation. this rising in particular enjoys the coziness of home. they have a tendency to see the world through rose-colored glasses, but can be very intuitive.
the aries midheaven wishes to be bolder and more straightforward with their emotions. aries is a sign that encourages action and movement, and can even be restless or reckless in how it manifests. this doesn’t sound immediately desirable for homebody cancer to take on themselves; for the most part, they would rather not have their coziness disrupted. growing into this midheaven will mean moving out of their comfort zone to embrace some of the more outwardly confident aspects that aries brings, learning how to be assertive in the midst of their gentleness.
how they work together: even though they display it differently, both cancer and aries have a well of energy within them, and finding the right outlet can be conducive to stabilizing that energy. actionable aries encourages cancer to rise to the occasion, while cancer can bring a comforting presence to the aries midheaven’s public persona. others may see this person as approachable and sweet, while also being surprisingly bold and risk-taking in their work.
people with these placements: tyra banks, jack black, zach braff, octavia butler, elisabeth moss, marvin gaye, julien solomita, julia roberts, paul rudd, angelina jolie
leo ascendant -- taurus midheaven
leo risings tend to be more open and extroverted, exuding warmth to those around them. they’re rather friendly types, and can be generous to people they hardly know. this is partly due to their ongoing search for acceptance and validation among their peers; despite their self-confidence, they’re sensitive to rejection. they like being a part of social and competitive events, enjoying their time in the spotlight. their search for attention can make them rather showy in their personality and fashion.
the taurus midheaven wishes to be more mellow and self-validating, finding issue with how leo seeks out reassurance from others. taurus is known for being occupied with their possessions, and this can give some pause to leo’s giving streak. ultimately, their differences lie in how they go about obtaining self-worth, and how they feel reassured in their accomplishments; taurus tends to depend on herself in both of these areas, while leo looks to others. growing into this midheaven will require trusting themselves, and building that self-value from the inside out, rather than from the outside in.
how they work together: both placements like to indulge in pleasures, wanting to feel good about themselves and their accomplishments. personally, this is my favorite duo, as it’s favorable for those wishing to be on the stage. leo’s friendly disposition can give way to many opportunities for practical, stability-seeking taurus, bringing a combination of charm and extroversion to the more modest midheaven. others may see this person as outgoing and proud, able to channel their wants and talents into work that is practical and long-lasting.
people with these placements: ella fitzgerald, maya angelou, tina turner, justin timberlake, josh groban, vanessa hudgens, natalie cole, selena gomez, jake gyllenhaal, marilyn monroe
virgo ascendant -- gemini midheaven
virgo risings tend to be on the more serious side, as they’re rather controlling of themselves and their surroundings. they have a deep appreciation for research and analyzing, and tend to process these things internally rather than talking about it right away. there’s a perfectionist side to them that can cause them to be preoccupied with their bodies and environment, but above that, they are helpful, practical, and detail-oriented in their day-to-day lives.
the gemini midheaven, frankly, wants virgo to loosen up a bit. gemini is known for being more of a dabbler in things, versus virgo’s tendency to focus on a few things extensively. while they’re both ruled by the same planet, gemini tends to look at the larger picture, interested in a multitude of things and not focusing on the deep stuff; this is a struggle for detail-oriented virgo. growing into this midheaven will mean moving away from the critical details in order to appreciate the unexpected, fast-moving nature of life, while also holding onto virgo's grounded common sense.
how they work together: this is an interesting combination, as they’re not only both mutable, but also both ruled by mercury. there’s a lot of mental stimulation here, and this combination can either encourage a more outgoing, searching intelligence, or intelligence gathered by being more secluded and “in their head.” others may see this person as practical and serious, perhaps being more fun and unpredictable in their work life.
people with these placements: michael b. jordan, uzo aduba, elizabeth olsen, renee zellweger, gene kelly, sarah paulson, sean astin, donald glover, tom hanks

Nervous Regrets - Tyler Seguin - Part 1
Requested: No
Word Count: 1263
Note: This is the first imagine I’ve ever posted. New to this whole Tumblr thing but love the fanfics that are out there. I majored in math, not english lit, so don’t kill me on all the grammer. Feedback it greatly appreciated.
Song Inspiration: Nervous by Gavin James
POV: Tyler
Warning: swearing
She was here. You weren’t really surprised. In fact, you half expected it, as this was where you met her one year ago. What you didn’t see coming was the flood of emotions seeing her evoked. God you missed her. She had been everything good in your life and you’d fucked it up.
One year ago, she had been standing at that bar; the same one she was standing at now. She had been wearing black then, as opposed the burgundy dress she had on now. Both fit her like a glove, hugging every curve and dip in her body. You could remember the feel of that body underneath yours writhing in passion; and hear her moans as she came. You remembered that small little mole she had on the inside of her thigh that you nibbled every time you made your way up to her sweet little pussy. You licked your lips remembering the way she tasted.
How had things gotten to this place? You standing in the shadows watching her every move; lusting after the woman who was once yours. You’d fucked up, that’s how. In one stupid night, you’d let some stupid girl ruin the best thing that ever happened to your life. But you couldn’t really blame her could you, it was your fault. You should’ve never been there in the first place. (Y/N) had been out of town for work. You were bored without her, so you gave in when your friends had decided to celebrate the win your team just had. The club was a place you’d used to frequent; not so much once (Y/N) had walked in to your life. You didn’t need to go; she was your everything. Yet there you were laughing and drinking with the group. Women swirling around you like you were some prime piece of meat at a buffet table and they were all starving. None of them wanted to really know you. They just wanted you for your name, your money and maybe your status. They were the exact opposite of (Y/N). It should have annoyed you; but instead it fed your ego that night, all these stupid, young girls giving you attention.
You can’t remember now why you did it; maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the heady feeling you had receiving all this female attention. The truth of it was, you were nervous; scared knowing that (Y/N) was endgame. From the moment you met her, you’d knew she was the one. The fact that every time you walked past a jewelry store a month after meeting her and started looking at engagement rings for her only confirmed the fact. But that night, not having her by your side, those nerves got the best of you. You started doubting that you could be with one woman for the rest of your life. So, what did you do? Prove that fucking theory right. It was beyond stupid letting that twenty-one-year-old draw you outside around the back of the club. The blow job she gave you wasn’t even satisfying and you regretted it the moment her lips touched your cock. By then it was too late. Her friends hiding around the corner snapping shots of the two of you. You heard the click, and it was like a bucket of ice water being thrown on you. You shoved the girl off of you, anger bubbly up at both her and yourself.
The pictures of you and her surfaced all over Instagram the next day. None of the damaging photos from outside showed up, but there were still ones of the two of you dancing, laughing and one of you kissing her. The blonde claiming that she was your girlfriend. She had text you and told you not to refute the claim or the other photos would be out. So, when (Y/N) came home sobbing, you hadn’t known what to say. You tried to explain, but of course she wouldn’t hear any of it. Not that you could blame her. She packed her things, leaving for god only knew where. You hated yourself in that moment. Hell, even your dogs hated you. You’d tried to reach out to her, explain what had happened and how incredibly sorry you were. All you wanted was another chance. It was too late; the bond of trust had already been broken. That was less than three months ago.
Now, there she stood. Looking as beautiful as the day you first saw her. You saw her laugh; it was fake though. You could tell even standing at this distance. You knew what her genuine laugh sounded like, it haunted you every night in your dreams. That’s when you saw him. You’d been so focused on her you hadn’t noticed him standing there, until he rested his hand at the small of her back. He looked familiar, but you weren’t sure why. In the recesses of your mind you knew he was some prominent guy in Dallas. You’d seen him in one of the boxes at the games. Knew that he came from money; the Rolex on his wrist confirming that.
Your hand curled into a fist, angry that he would make such a possessive move on your woman. But she wasn’t yours, you reminded yourself. She used to be. Every fiber of your being screamed at you to walk over there and make things right. You’d go right now, fall to your knees and beg her forgiveness; if you thought she’d take you back. Her love had been the one constant thing in your life; even if your relationship had been a whirlwind. You needed it back, almost as much as you needed air to breath. Everything was suffering without her; you, hockey, even relationships with your friends had all gone to hell without her. You’d become a recluse, not going out or even having friends in. This was the first event you’d been to, since she left. Hell, it was the first time you’d seen her. And now that you had, you knew you couldn’t live without her.
How to get her back was at the forefront of your mind? You stalked her, watching her every move; waiting until she was alone to approach her. You had no clue what you would say to her when that moment happened though; a simple “I love you” wasn’t going to cut it. The moment the opportunity came, you seized it; taking long strides to reach her. Until there she was standing in front of you. Your heart beating out of your chest. God you wanted to rip it out and just hand it to her. If you gave her all of yourself would it be enough? Would she even want it? Your mouth was dry, when you went to open it; hoping to God the words that came out would be enough. But it was her voice that spoke first, a hush whisper; just your name “Tyler.” It was a benediction, a prayer. Something you’d been craving to hear since the moment she closed the door on you.
“(Y/N),” it was all you could say at the moment. A range of emotions played across her face; anger, hope and last but not least love. That small little flicker, gave you the optimism you were looking for. Maybe there was still a chance; you latched on to that spark. It wouldn’t be easy and would take time but you had nowhere to be except here with her now and every day after that if she’d let you.

HAPPY FOUR YEAR ANNIVERSARY, WHO IS LEFT !
That’s right, folks –– today is November 6th, which means that WIL has officially been open and active for FOUR FULL FREAKIN’ CALENDAR YEARS.
It’s never going to get any less exciting for us. Reaching this milestone date every year and getting to look back on all the amazing writers we’ve had in our group, all the incredible plots we’ve gotten to see develop on our dashboard, the wonderful characters who have graced us throughout the years… it’s kind of amazing. We’re a little verklempt, not gonna lie.
When we first decided to open up a group together we knew we wanted to create a space with all the things we love about the RPC. We’re forever grateful that we could build a group like Who Is Left and find people who thrive in the same environment we do. We love the slowburn plots, heavy character development, angst, the worldbuilding, the angst. Everyone who has ever come to write with us, whether they’re still here or not, holds a special place in our little admin hearts: you guys make this possible, and we couldn’t ask for a better group of folks to share our collaborative writing passion.
We have our usual set of anniversary celebrations below, and mostly we’re just so happy to have been around long enough to have traditions like these. In four more years, on our eighth anniversary, we’ll still be as cheesy and overflowing with affection and appreciation, but today we’re celebrating with lovey-dovey syndrome and a new event later this evening and all sorts of goodies to look forward to on the horizon.
Who Is Left members, past and especially present, with so many of you having been with us since the very beginning: you all make us better writers every single day, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be running this group for and writing with all of you. You’re the best, and we love you!
LET’S CELEBRATE !
SEND SOME LOVE // For the rest of the week, the Who Is Left team is all encouraged to send some anonymous (or not so anonymous) love to their fellow writers. The admins are going to make sure that nobody goes without a message, but ideally we’d love to see everyone’s inboxes flooded with affection. Take a minute out of your day to tell your fellow writers what you like best about their writing style, plotting skills or OOC attitude! It’s been four years. Remind everyone why you love that they’re here!
SPARK SOME MUSE // Feel free to reblog lots of inbox memes, honest hours, ‘ask me anything’ games, headcanon prompts and more! We love seeing the dash filled up with reminders of how connected you are to your characters and how in-depth your knowledge of them goes...plus, they’re plain fun, and a great way to distract yourself and refresh your muses.
COLLABORATION STATION // Have an idea for an event? A new way of doing things? Changes to the app? Even new character bio ideas? We want to hear from you, so here’s just a gentle reminder that our door is always open and that we’re always all ears for any changes that will make this group more fun or better run for each and every one of you!
SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO …
Later tonight we’ll be posting a huge new event, the one everyone opted into participating in! It’s going to be a doozy, and everyone has their character paired up with another for maximum in-depth plotting with plenty of aftershocks to build into follow up threads and ongoing plots. Keep an eye out for that!
Also, as any lurkers and members may have noticed, we’ve been steadily updating bios to a newer, more streamlined style - with amazing new graphics and a vibe that we think is simply delicious.
Not only that, we will also be releasing new character bios two at a time over the next few weeks. These characters will be more heavily focused on outside Hogwarts, as graduation for the Marauders’ year approaches and the RP will start zoning in more sharply on the First War! And, gosh, we are so ridiculously excited about that.
HEY, YOU ! JOIN THE FAMILY !
If a long-term group to get all the writing, worldbuilding, and character work in is what you’re after - look no further! We always hold acceptances 2-3 days after the first application hits our inbox, so you’re never too far away from joining our group once you decide to fill out an app! We’ve been going strong for four years with no plans to slow down or close, and we’re always ecstatic to get new members who are looking for our style of group to call their home.
Open characters that we’d love to see filled include:
James Potter
Edgar Bones
Peter Pettigrew
Emmeline Vance
Amycus Carrow
Alecto Carrow
Aiden Avery
Marlene McKinnon
Lucius Malfoy
Igor Karkaroff
Adelaide DuBois
Tyler Warrington
Fabian Prewett
Caradoc Dearborn
...and many, many more! Current members, feel free to send in asks to the main letting lurkers and your fellow writers know who you’d like to see applied for!

Christmas Countdown part 3.
[MASTERLIST.]
Days 6-10.
Day 11.
She huddled closer to Kaitlyn and Zack, a wave of warmth enveloping them as they remained under the covers of her bed. Flicking the switch of a flash light, Zack held it up to his chin, pulling his mouth into a gurn and making a strange wailing sound.
"Remind me what exactly you're doing Zack."
"Uhh, setting the mood?"
"You said you wanted to help me 'talk tactics', not tell ghost stories. Why are you always like this?" She queried, but she couldn't stop a small smile from slipping.
"Just so you know Zack, I appreciated it." Kaitlyn nudged him with her shoulder.
"Of course you did." She rolled her eyes at the pair of them, both looking back at her with innocent smiles on their faces.
"Okay, we've played with you enough tonight. Just FYI, winding you up is so much fun, you always bite. So then, where's today's message from Mr Lover Lover? Cutting it a bit fine today isn't he? It is almost 10pm. Hey, wait! Did we ever even establish if this is a guy or what?"
"Zack. We've established nothing." She jabbed him in the arm, hard, to emphasize her point.
"Wow...Owww."
"He's never missed a day, something will show up soon. I don't know what it is, I just have a feeling it's a guy."
"Are we gonna do this? Put money on it? What odds can I get on this being a chick?" Kaitlyn enquired, eyes seeming to light up in excitement.
Forcefully, she shoved Kaitlyn out the bed, squaring her shoulders and fixing Zack with a hard stare.
"You're next Zilberg"
He raised his hands and quietly hopped out.
"Okay, we're out of here. Don't worry, I fully intend to give it my all tomorrow. Secret admirer is going dowwwnn."
Barely a minute had passed since Zack and Kaitlyn's departure, and as she lowered herself back into bed, a quiet vibration gained her attention.
Day Eleven - You are, and always have been my dream x.
A small smile teased her lips. She'd been waiting all day for this, he could do better than that.
You're sweet, but I need more tonight!
She lay back, watching the screen intently. After a few minutes of nothing, she huffed out an irritated breath, rolling onto her side.
And then her phone buzzed.
You are the answer to every prayer I've offered. You are a song, a dream, a whisper, and I don't know how I could have lived without you for as long as I have x.
Her ears started ringing and her heart felt like it was thrashing against her chest. His words were beautiful, yet familiar, although she couldn't think why.
Why does this sound so familiar?
So it's not gonna be easy, it's going to be really hard; We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you forever, every day x.
Something inside her head clicked instantly as she took in the words. He was quoting from The Notebook. Her all time favourite romance film. It was beautiful, it made her cry without fail every time she watched it, and Ryan Gosling was in it, and that was reason enough.
I'm impressed! First you woo me with Love Actually, and now you're telling me you've watched The Notebook? I'm in love!
I love you. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope, and every dream I've ever had x.
Her stomach flipped as she poured over the words. He wasn't messing around anymore, his words carried more meaning now than any of the previous days. At a loss with what to reply back, she stared dumbfounded at the screen, before it vibrated in her hand one final time.
If you're a bird, I'm a bird x.
If there was one thing she was certain of, it was that Zack had to find out who was behind this. Quickly.
Day 12.
Zack paced up and down the empty hallway for the umpteenth time, pointlessly batting at his face in frustration. It had been two hours. Two very lonely, extremely boring hours keeping watch outside their apartment. Checking his watch, he made a mental vow to stick it out at least another twenty minutes before throwing the towel in. As he straightened his aching back, he suddenly noticed a flicker of movement out of the corner of his eye, followed by the sound of hurried movement.
Whirling around on the spot, Zack broke into a fast paced jog. Catching sight of his target, his attention momentarily slipped as a post it note fluttered towards him. Reaching out to catch it before it fell, he managed to read the small scrawl 'Day Twelve - Je t'aime x.' before scrunching it up roughly.
Eyes focused ahead, a smirk creeped on to Zack's face as he realised his patience was about to pay off. This was his apartment building, and he knew they were heading towards a dead end, with nothing but a cleaning cupboard to run towards. The figure slowed, realising the error, back still facing Zack.
"You've played a good game Sir, but it's time to find out who you really are." Placing an encouraging hand on his shoulder, he slowly turned.
Zack's mouth flew open.
Day 13.
"Edgar? As in Edgar Edgar? That doesn't make any sense!" Kaitlyn shrieked as Zack filled them in the next day.
"Why? We always knew it could be anyone."
"But, it's Edgar! He really watched The Notebook? And liked it enough to quote it?" Kaitlyn squeaked, clearly having a hard time accepting all of this.
"Actually, I wasn't quite done. Edgar insisted he'd been getting emails from an unknown source asking for his help. He confessed to leaving the flowers after class. But he was pretty adamant that was the only part he played."
"But why would Edgar agree to this? What's he getting out of it?" She asked, confusion etched across her face.
"Whoever this unknown source is, they've been hyping up D and D everywhere. Apparently so many people are interested now, they've had to set a waiting list up to cope with the demand."
"No wonder Edgar was game! Hey, you know Tyler could probably crack this. I bet he could track this unknown source with his eyes closed." Zack enthused.
"Actually I...I don't think I want to."
"WHAT?!" Zack and Kaitlyn complained loudly in unison.
Ringing her hands distractedly, she was unable to meet the steely gaze she felt bearing down on her.
"It's just, he's gone to a lot of trouble to not be found. He's gone as far as to recruit Edgar as his minion for Christ's sake! That's dedication. I don't want to ruin this for him. It's not like he can hide forever, what would be the point to all of this then?"
Kaitlyn and Zack exchanged a look.
"And you couldn't have said all this before I went all badass yesterday?" Zack questioned, eyebrows raised slightly.
"Oh shhh. I'm sure you got a kick out of it."
"James Bond better watch out." Zack winked.
***
A few hours later she was slowly sinking under a pile of books, studying hard after slacking so much recently.
Her laptop chimed in front of her, notifying her of a new email. Her pulse quickened as she noted that she now had her very own unknown source, patiently waiting in her inbox. Her finger hovered over the cursor for a brief second, before she relented and clicked away.
Day Thirteen - You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending x.
Day 14.
As she made her way home that afternoon after a long day, she couldn't think of anything better than curling up in bed for a cozy little afternoon nap. Entering the building, she could hear music playing loudly from one of the apartments. With every step she took closer to her apartment, the louder the music became. She couldn't stop herself from humming along, recognising the song as That's How You Know from the film Enchanted. Weird choice of song to be blasting so loud. When she finally reached the front door, it was clear that one of her roommates must have gone deaf over night. Because if that wasn't the reason, she was about to give them a piece of her mind.
Unlocking the door, she stormed in, ready to yell, only to be met by an empty room.
"Okay, which one of you is it? Come on, out you come. I promise I won't lay into you that badly!" She called out, making her way down the hallway, opening each bedroom door she passed. They were all empty. No one was here.
Racing back to the living room, she located the source of the music. Kaitlyn's ancient music system stood in the kitchen. Everyone always poked fun at her for being stuck in the 90's, but she insisted on keeping it in the kitchen, songs from their childhood constantly played as she did the dishes or cleaned up. On top of the CD player, was a case she didn't recognize. Picking it up, she found a post it note slipped inside the cover of the otherwise empty case. Day Fourteen - He'll find a new way to show you, a little bit every day. That's how you know, that's how you know he is your love x.
As the song repeated itself over and over, she did nothing but take a seat, listening to the lyrics intently. She knew he'd been ramping up the affection recently, and becoming bolder with his words. It was becoming clear that this wasn't a game anymore, his feelings were stronger than that. He was in love with her, yet she didn't even know his name. Could she go on like this, or was it time to ask Tyler for a favour?
Day 15.
"Yo, sweet cheeks! Party planning is about to start, get your ass out here!" Zack yelled from the other side of her bedroom door.
"I'll be right there!" She chirped back, picking up her phone and standing to join everyone. She stopped in her tracks as the phone beeped in her hand.
Day fifteen is a choice x.
Well this was different. Plopping back on the bed, her fingers hurriedly got to work with a response.
What kind of choice?
I'm giving you the choice to end all of this now. Say the word, ask me outright who I am, and this will all be over x.
And the other option?
Indulge me a little longer. Things stay as they are for now, we'll continue the fun. Make a little time for me on Christmas Day and I'll tell you everything you want to know. From that point on, whatever happens next is up to you x.
Okay... Before she could finish tapping out a reply, her bedroom door flung open, Chris grinning at her widely. Her hand slipped in surprise, and she quietly groaned as she realised she'd accidentally sent the message.
"People are getting impatient out there, I've been elected to come and get you."
She raised her eyebrows at him, folding her arms across her chest.
"When you say people I know you mean Zack. And when you say elected I know you mean you were forced to do his dirty work for him."
Chris laughed, rubbing the back of his head as he tried and failed to think of a lie on the spot.
"Don't even think about it Powell. I see right through you."
"Okay, okay. Do me a favour and come join everyone please?"
She smiled sweetly at him and clambered off her bed whilst Chris reached into his jeans pocket, pulling his phone out.
Taking in the look of delight flash across his face, she couldn't help but question him.
"Hmm I know that look. Who's the lucky girl then?"
"What? Nothing. No one." Chris fumbled, cheeks glowing.
She eyed him suspiciously, maintaining eye contact for a moment, prompting him to shift nervously from one foot to the other.
"Whatever you say Christopher. I'm watching you!" She tried to make light of the situation, but deep down she was desperate for answers. Was Chris the one behind all of this? And if he was, how did she feel about that? They were just friends right?
Days 16-17.

Family Found Part 44: Last Ambrose Standing
AKA ‘Fastlane and Burn’, Dean and the Reader’s conflict comes to a head. But when the final moments are in their hands, can they do what is necessary to win their Last Ambrose Standing match? The following Monday an old rival of the roster makes an appearance and a demand.
Warnings/Promises: wrestling violence, angst
Word Count: 4665
Note: I swear, my matches are only two paragraphs. But then you gotta have dialogue and some plot advancement, and suddenly there’s so much! It reads quick, or it did for me. And it was fun/angsty to write. If you like how things are going, or if this chapter made you cry, comments (anon or not) and reblogs are always super appreciated. Enjoy! [P.S.: For the record, I’ve had my WM planned since January. Any similarities to what’s actually happening on Raw is just chance.]
Part 1: Welcome to the Team
Part 43: It’s Official
Fastlane – March 10, 2019 – Green Bay, WI
Renee gave the online audience a bright smile. “And welcome to the road to WrestleMania! Fastlane is well underway, and it is almost time for the show to begin. But first, the Raw tag titles contenderships are on the line. Whoever wins this might be going to WrestleMania. It’s a bit of an odd mix going into this match.”
“Yes, it is,” Cole said. “The Revival and the B Team we’ve seen before in big events like this. But how do you think the new team of Dana Brook and Tyler Breeze are going to hold up?”
Corey whined back and forth. “I don’t know. They have both had established places in the WWE, but have been lost in the shuffle for the last several months. I’m curious to see how their plan will work to bring them back into the spotlight.”
“It’s time to see that plan in action,” Renee said as the aforementioned team entered. They received a loud pop from the crowd, though that was drowned out as the B Team, and then the Revival entered the arena.
They each took a corner, bouncing while waiting for the bell. But the stage lit up again. With the entrance of Kevin Owens.
“What!” Corey shouted. “Welcome back, but who is he going to tag with?”
Renee was almost bouncing in her seat. “I think I know who…”
The stage lit up in reds and black as Sami Zayn made his return to the WWE as well. He and Kevin shared a hug, soaking in their welcome from the crowd before going down to the ring. Inside, their opponents were complaining to the referee. But the match was being announced as a fatal four-way for the number one contender spot for the tag titles. Sami and Kevin took the last corner, with Kevin starting the match. He was instantly the target of everyone else in the ring. Sami helped him retreat through the ropes and they backed off, turning on each other.
Tagging in their other halves began. At Breeze’s tag, Dana went after Dawson before he could call in Wilder, and then engaged with Bo Dallas. Sami jumped in, working his way around the ring, knocking partners off the apron so they wouldn’t be available later. Curtis Axel fell the most dramatically. Kevin bided his time, crouching on the floor until Sami needed him. Then they traded while everyone else was exhausted and out. This continued to help them, all the way up to the pin. Sami jumped in, double pinning Bo under the referee’s count.
They celebrated their win, and their continued welcome back as the final preparations for Fastlane wrapped up.
***
Beginning Fastlane with a bang was the Raw Women’s Championship match between defending Ember Moon against Ruby Riott. Depending on who you asked, both women had lost before the bell had rung. Ember had reached her goal of title reign days, but she was still fighting to see how far she could go beyond that. Ruby had suffered losses for the last three weeks, but those losses had ignited enough of a fire that Ember was on the defense. Half-way through the match, both women sprawled out in the ring after a long combination of moves.
“I can’t leave this ring without that title,” Ruby muttered. Ember lifted her head up just enough to catch her eye. “If I can’t… if I can’t win titles, then why am I here?” Ruby wobbled to her hands and knees. “If I can’t… then how can I lead my friends?” She finally made it to her feet, though it looked like a puff of breath could knock her over.
Ember struggled to stand as well and held up her fists. “But what if you can? I’m not just going to give it to you, but you know what you’re fighting for. So fight. Because that’s what I’m here to do. Not for titles or for gold, but for my pride and to hear my name chanted by everyone in this arena. If I’m honest, I don’t think you will leave this ring with the title. I don’t think you have it in you.”
“But what if you’re wrong?” Ruby launched forward with another attack, reinvigorating the match. She pushed and she fought until her lungs burned and Ember’s eyes were half-lidded with exhaustion. With a scream, she threw everything else she had and fell on top of her opponent. One. Two. Three.
“And you’re new Raw Women’s Champion: Ruby Riott!”
Ruby fell to her knees with the title in her hands. She stayed there until Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan appeared by her sides and helped her to her feet where she could hold it high above her head.
***
Ruby stayed ringside for her teammates’ match against Mickie James and Alicia Fox for their tag titles. They moved like a team reborn. Liv’s bright hair caught Alicia in the face, inspiring her to laugh. Sarah mostly engaged with the veteran Mickie, fighting to endure the reserves of years of wrestling and maneuvers that hadn’t seen a ring in ages. Alicia fought back with her repertoire that soon had the Squad on the defense.
Then the mistakes came. Alicia, proud in how flat Sarah was laid in the ring, stepped to the ropes to haggle Ruby instead of going for the pin. Mickie frantically called for a pin or for a tag. But Liv sneaked up behind the teammate and swept her feet out from under her. Alicia heard the cry as she fell and twisted around in time for Sarah to catch her. The bell rang as the Squad retained their titles. As the champion trio, they stood in the ring as three of the most powerful women on the Raw roster.
***
For the number one Intercontinental contendership, Finn Balor and Dolph met in the ring. The palms of Finn’s hands were red, like the demon was desperate to get out but the man wouldn’t let him have full control. That made Dolph warry. One: why would he hold back with so much on the line? And two: how powerful was the man if he could hold back a demon king? He didn’t have much to think about it as Finn attacked. They were caught in a headlock until Dolph was forced back into the ropes. He glared at the ref from between them. Who cares who or what the man was? He was just a man.
The match danced from ring post to ring post along the ropes and round from the floor. Both men were showing how much they wanted even a chance at the title by how much damage they could take and dish out. Finn took it the best. Dolph struggled more and more to get to his feet after each assault. He remained flat on his back after barely kicking out of a pin. Climbing the turnbuckles, Finn went for a Coup de Grace. At the last possible second, Dolph moved, catching Finn in a roll-up. Out of sight of the ref, he used the ropes for a bit of extra leverage. It was enough. He made a hasty exit before Finn could figure out why he’d lost.
Backstage, Charly caught up with Dolph. “Having won your match, how soon do you want to face your former partner for a title match? Will we see it tomorrow, or on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania?”
Dolph continued to catch his breath while he thought. “I’m ready when Drew is. Tomorrow. Next week. WrestleMania. Whenever he thinks is his best chance to beat me, let’s go. I will be at my best because I am the best out of anyone on Raw.” He broke off as the champion himself walked up. He was dressed in a suit and had the title resting on his shoulder. Dolph did his best to get into his space and maybe get sweat onto the nice fabric.
“When will I be ready for you? I’d fight you right now, but I want ya after you’ve rested. After you’ve had a good night’s sleep. And then, when ya have ya strength and your full hubris back, I’m going to bury you in that ring. So, I’ll see you tomorrow Dolph. An’ the best man will win again, like I do every time.” He reached up and gave Dolph a heavy double pat on his cheek. “Sleep tight.” He smirked and walked away as Dolph growled after him.
***
Roman watched Dean finish taping up his hands. “You don’t have to go through with this, you know. She’s probably not doing this for the reasons you think.”
“And what would you know about it?” Dean spat. He grit his teeth and twisted his neck. “What you’ve seen from home is just the tip of the iceberg. And besides, she brought it up. I’m just finishing what she’s started.” Dean rolled his shoulders back. “If I had gotten in your way of taking the Universal, would you let Seth or the Usos talk me out of it?”
A long pause was his answer. Nodding, Dean walked away to enter the arena.
You followed shortly after, wearing the gear you’d made for Summer Slam. Really it was the only gear you had. At the same time, you hoped that Dean would see it and realize his cousin was still in it, and not some villain for him to slay.
There wasn’t much room for that hope. Before you’d even made it to the ring, you could see that Dean had his trusty kendo stick quiver wrapped over his shoulder. You entered the ring with only yourself. You had made the choices you did without weapons or premeditated woes. But once that bell rang, you would fight to defend your reasons.
The match happened in three stages. At first, it felt like any other sparring practice when learning with any of your friends-turned-trainers. You even forgot yourself and found a smile spreading across your face and a laugh escaping. Dean’s dimples made an appearance. Then the roar of the crowd brought you back to reality. The match turned real. You tried to win a pin as fast as possible. If you could do that before the very real devices under the ring came out, then maybe you wouldn’t regret this so much.
But the devices did come out. You grabbed a chair to use as a shield when Dean finally began to use his kendo stick. There was also a chain that you used like a whip to rip it out of his hands. Then he followed you into the ring. The chain became your means of keeping Dean away. Or keeping him close in a submission hold.
“Please, Dean,” you tried, “I didn’t mean for this to happen.”
He struggled to detangle himself from the chain, effectively taking it from your hands in the process. “Is that an apology?”
“No.”
“Then we’re not done.”
It went on. Your hearts were no longer in it but you fought hard anyway. Dean’s practiced ingenuity was getting the best of you. Bringing in more things from under the ring wasn’t going to work. He’d been a hardcore wrestler; had the scars as proof. So you ended it like how they’d taught you to: find one weakness and target it. Somewhere in the scuffle Dean had developed a limp. You knew Seth would have some pointers, so you aimed for that injury. He couldn’t fight you if he couldn’t stand.
Dean was able to wobble onto his legs one last time. You climbed the turnbuckles, about to spin with your modified punch that Roman helped you with. Dean fell before you could finish setting up. The referee started the count.
“No!” You rushed down and tried to stop him. “I’m the general manager and I said stop!” He paused, looking past you to Dean. You didn’t look back. “Call off the match. It’s done. I lost.” While the shocked referee went to tell the bell box, you left the ring. It announced overhead, making you flinch.
With all of your might, you wanted to walk away without looking. But a tiny shard made you turn. He was staring at you. Not angry. Definitely not broken. Just… staring at you. Through you. It felt like no matter what you did from this moment on, you were damned. “I’m sorry, Dean,” you said, hopefully loud enough for him to believe you. “I’m so, so sorry.”
***
With the Universal Championship on the line, Seth Rollins and Mojo Rawley pulled out all the stops. Even since Monday, Mojo had found a new hold and a quick tackle that kept blindsiding Seth. The King Slayer would manage to kick out, then stand while shaking away the ringing in his ears. They re-met with a quick handshake. Seth dug deep too and borrowed one of Dean’s old submission holds that pinned Mojo’s arms far out of use with his knees. He rocked back and forth. This backfired as Mojo was able to use the moment to roll around and switch the tension. Seth had to release.
The submission holds gave way to the game of endurance. The universe had already seen Seth fight for over an hour multiple times. But Mojo held his own too. If the dream requires you to run from one side of the earth to the other, then you have to train to run around it twice to account for all the unforeseeable hurdles in between. Rawley kept Seth on his toes, knocking him out of the air and knocking out his ability to stand. He took a second to stare at the title resting in the lap of a techie in the bell box. Seth took it to use his remaining functioning limbs to cut Mojo down until he could end the match with a Curb Stomp. The Universal had been retained.

Monday Night Raw – March 11, 2019
You couldn’t start Raw without a little housekeeping first. Elias nodded as you continued speaking. “You see, you have to pick your WrestleMania opponent… tonight. I really should have had you pick before Fastlane but-“
“You were busy.”
The heat behind your cheeks simmered as you focused on breathing. “Yeah. Busy. But have you made a decision? That is… you have been thinking about it, right?”
Elias scoffed. “Of course. I’m going to challenge-“
He didn’t get to finish as a large hand grabbed the scruff of his scarf and shirt and tugged him away. Brock Lesnar stepped into his place. Paul Heyman hovered like a grinning shadow. “Good to see you, Ms. Ambrose. I hope you are having a lovely stress-free evening.” Paul somehow grinned wider.
“I was,” you mumbled. “Can I help you guys? Or are you just here to rough up my wrestlers?”
Brock chuckled and looked down to Paul. He took his cue to speak. “We won’t be here long as we’re not staying for the show. But my client, Brock Les-“
“We all know who your client is. Get to the point.”
“My client, Brock Lensar, is just here to ask for his title. And he’s going to ask nicely. This time.” Paul leaned closer to you. “You won’t be able to play him like you’ve been playing everyone here. He won’t be so nice then.” He leaned back with a smirk, posing with a hand crossed over his other wrist.
You switched your attention from Heyman to the Beast Incarnate. “I don’t know why you’re trying to be all dramatic and scary. You haven’t been here since… oh, Summer Slam? As far as I’m concerned, you don’t deserve a return.” The sass slipped from your voice. Your words scorched your throat. “But Vince McMahon called last week. Your match is already set. For WrestleMania. I was just about to inform your opponent.”
Brock smiled and nodded. He turned and walked out of your office with another word. For Elias’s sake, you hoped the drifter wouldn’t want into the Universal title picture.
***
In the ring, Drew McIntyre came to stand dead-center with his Intercontinental title over his shoulder. “We all know what’s planned for tanight. I am the champion. And I am goin’ to walk out of this ring… as champion. It wasn’t goin’ to matter who won at Fastlane, but ya know what? I’m glad it’s Dolph. He’s been impatiently waiting for his chance to get back at me for somethin’ that happened months ago.” Drew chuckled. “Honestly, I was willing to put it all behind me a while ago. But then he kept pushing. And kept gettin’ in the way. Fine. Now is the time of your destruction, Dolph. Now-“
Dolph entered early, saving the crowd from more of the monologue. For a second it looked like he was going to use the mic in his hands, but he dropped it instead. He marched down to the ring, fighting back a grimace as his pace tweaked a new sore spot. It did not go unnoticed.
They met at the bell. Eager to make it a quick match, Drew targeted the areas he knew that Finn had damaged. It didn’t go as quick as he hoped. And Dolph nearly caught him in a Zig Zag several times. But the targeting had done its job. Drew caught him with a Glasgow Kiss and barely had to work to pin him. Laughing he made his way up to the stage, picking up the mic Dolph dropped earlier.
“This is the best of Dolph Ziggler? This is the best of the Raw roster? Who could even think to step to me?” His smirk disappeared as Elias strummed onto the stage. Drew growled as the drifter stopped playing just long enough to poke at the title. Drew snatched it away and reared back for a punch. But Elias was quicker. And he had a longer reach with his guitar in hand. Wood fractured and splintered across the stage. Over Drew’s momentarily damaged body, Elias took up the title. He looked between it and his smashed guitar. Gingerly, he draped it over Drew, then walked away.
***
When the call came in that Dean had interrupted Seth’s entrance, you rushed to the ring. Dean was waiting for you sitting in a lone chair in the ring. “Well, that didn’t take long.”
“Please, can you not do this right now?”
You waved him away and tried to leave for backstage but he stood and leaned forward onto the ropes. “Why not? What’s so important that we can’t discuss what I got out of winning our match yesterday?”
With a huff, you rolled back your shoulders. “I just had to tell Seth before he came out here that his WrestleMania opponent is Brock Lesnar. And I… I really need a break.”
He waved you down to the ring, which you begrudgingly obliged. “One more headache and then you can find a hole to hide in. It seems to be an Ambrose thing. Since you’re handing out championship opportunities, why don’t you add one more person to that match? I think beating the general manager of Raw is pretty-“
“No.” With a grin, Dean stepped back from the ropes as you entered. “You didn’t pin me, and you didn’t make me tap. I surrendered. I surrendered so that I hopefully could put this all to rest. Please, Dean… I didn’t have a choice-“
“Yes, you did. All of us work our asses off to build this business, but the second that… the second that Lesnar wants something, he gets it. No questions asked.” Dean punched the side of his face as his blood began to boil. “But I’m asking questions. No, I’m done with questions. Now it’s time for demands. Put me in the match, Y/N!”
“No! You don’t know what you’re doing, Dean. There are levels of this that you can’t see.”
“What levels?” he spat. “Levels of you hurting my career to protect you from ‘favoritism’? Or of how much of your soul you’ve given to the remnants of the Authority.”
“Stop.” You walked away, but Dean’s voice followed you.
“No, I won’t. And if you don’t do what’s right, and put me in the spot that I deserve, then I am going to fight you. Not in the ring. We’ve already done that and seen what you’re willing to burn. No. I won’t stop usurping your precious plans and using my last breath to destroy the position you built over family.”
“Fine!” You spun around. Eyes flashing, your jaw ached from the tension. You focused on that tension, feeling it colliding with the pain that had settled into your bones over the past months. With a sigh, you accepted that it would probably never go away. It was all a split second, but the oceans of emotions drowned you eons ago. You laced your words with cold, unfeeling ice. “Dean Ambrose, as won by your match at Fastlane, you also have a spot in the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania. And may God forgive me… since you probably never will.”
Seth came rolling into the ring just as you finished. Dean bumped into him as you both turned towards your separate ways. “Why are you so hard on her, man?”
He barked a laugh. “Didn’t you hear her? We had all that destruction last night, and she didn’t change a bit. All of this is still for business. Nothing more. We’re just pawns. We could have been building momentum between us for weeks for another show stopper, but Brock comes in here and just walks into an opportunity.”
Struggling to get in a word, Seth said, “I don’t know. All of this feels weird. Something tells me there are outside forces here. I really think you should just listen to her and-“
“Don’t you have a match to get for?” Dean shot him down.
Seth bit back anything else he had to say. “Yeah. Yeah, I do.” Hissing out strained air, Seth let him leave and ran a hand through his hair.
***
As Dean stormed towards backstage, Apollo Crews came out for his match with Seth. He stayed on stage just long enough for your cousin to disappear, then smiled as Titus O’Neil joined him. They walked side-by-side to the ring with Apollo hoping onto the apron and Titus walking around to the back to do the same. Before they could enter the ring, Roman’s entrance took over the system. Battle lines drawn, the match was remade as a tag match.
Seth nodded towards the stage, asking about Dean. Roman shook his head. Backstage with a resolute deaf-to-reason Dean was not the best place to be. Not when he could help elsewhere.
It was like old times. Apollo and Titus seemed to forget their thundercloud-plan to take advantage of Seth. Or at least postponed it to another time when maybe he wouldn’t have backup on hand. Frazzled, the former team of Titus Worldwide struggled to stay afloat. Roman and Seth kept isolating each man, wearing him down so much that even after having a break, he couldn’t do much to relieve his partner. Seth ended up pinning Apollo, with Roman standing over Titus outside the ring where he’d been speared through a barricade.

“Now would you look at all this gold?” Ruby slapped the championship around her waist. To either side, Sarah and Liv snickered, adjusting their own titles on their shoulders. “We’ve said it several times, so you all should know by now, but the Riott Squad is the best there is on Monday Night Raw. And Fastlane just proved that once again.” She spun the mic around in her hands, watching the lights flicker over her title. “And this isn’t just for tonight. Or next week. Or just this month. Hell, the plan isn’t even to just ‘survive’ until WrestleMania. No. We are going to run this show, command that woman’s locker, and own these titles until somebody back there decides that they are good enough to even think about contending with us. Anyone back there is welcome to try. But we will run them into the ground, and we will do that every time someone steps to us! Whether it is for the Raw tag titles, or for the Raw women’s championship.” Ruby opened her arms for Liv and Sarah to perch under.
They were still laughing together when they were interrupted. Alexa Bliss walked out with Alicia Fox and Mickie James at her shoulders. Miss Bliss slow clapped until she was standing at the top of the ramp. “Congratulations, Ruby. No, really. That’s great. But your ladies have unfinished business with mine.”
Liv stepped up, accepting Ruby’s mic. “Um, that’s not the way we see it. Because… we beat them last night. Quickly, I might add.”
“No, no. Ruby, honey, you were a distraction to my team last night. And when Alicia was too busy making sure you wouldn’t interfere, your bubblegum haired pixie attacked Mickie James who wasn’t even tagged in at the time.” The ladies in question nodded along. “So I say, we’re not done.”
Ruby’s smile spread to a dangerous level, the kind that was inspired by a master plan. “Okay. Fine. But to ensure that none of us are a distraction to the other, why don’t we just put all the titles on the line. The Riott Squad versus… whatever you call your ragtag group.”
Despite the name-calling, Alexa matched her wicked smirk. “Deal.” She tossed the mic over her shoulder and joined Mickie and Alicia in the run down to the ring.
For the first good while, the sudden appearance of the trio had the Riott Squad scrambling to have a plan. It came back eventually like muscle memory. Having championship gold on the line, especially all of it, was a great motivator. Ruby’s mind worked quickly to move her team around so they could have more than just twenty-four hours as a triumphant team. Alexa misread one of her barked commands and tagged herself in. Sarah instead of Liv jumped into the ring, and Alexa was too deep into the ring to turn back. So she ran forward, half-reforming an attack that fell flat. Like she did onto her back a few seconds later. Ruby and Liv barreled forward to keep Mickie and Alicia from breaking the pin, which ensured the win.
Sarah shoved Alexa out of the ring so that they could all pose again with their retained championships.

Kevin and Sami had asked for the last few minutes of Raw to reintroduce themselves to the WWE Universe. You gave it to them easily. So they smiled and laughed, basking in the second welcome of the week. They were just lifting the mics to speak when AOP appeared from the audience and began to circle the ring. On the Titantron, Dr. M appeared from his deserted hospital.
“Did you really think that your shock return would guarantee a new life as a tag team? Kevin… Sami… your betrayal of each other runs deep. It will always be there, like a scar. And no tricks devised by you, or cleared by Y/N can cover them up. Tricks are superficial remedies to deep tissue secrets and doubts.”
Rezar and Akam finished circling the ring and came to stand at the base of the ramp.
“Secrets are the disease of the WWE. And Y/N has stepped into the role of Typhoid Mary. Not to worry… that will soon be cured. As well as the sudden arrival of the pestilence of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. The Authors of pain need no tricks, no snake oil to save the tag division.” The men turned their backs and walked back up the ramp as Dr. M finished. “So welcome back. But you will not enjoy your short stay.”

The first Valentine’s Day – Part 1 – Zig X Scarlett (MC)
SUMMARY: Zig and Scarlett (MC) are celebrating their first Valentine’s day together! But as it’s Wednesday, he has plans to extend this celebration to the next weekend.
PAIRING: Zig X Scarlett (MC)
RATING: Everyone
WORDS: 2.071
NOTE: Hey! Finally I’m posting the first of eight parts of this series about Zig and Scarlett’s (MC) first Valentine’s Day. I started to write it in February, right after I realized PB wouldn’t do a Valentine’s Day spin off this year :((( so I thought my OTP’s first Valentine’s Day should be written by me LOL I delayed a bit to post because I had an idea that made me write again some parts: this could be the perfect moment for them to say those three little words...
English isn’t my native language. I write to practice and learn, so please sorry any mistakes. I hope you like it, and if you do, I’d appreciate if you like/comment/reblog!

Scarlett woke up early on that cold winter morning. It was snowed all night and she glanced to her window to see Hartfeld covered by white. Suddenly, her phone buzzed and she grinned when she saw Zig’s name on the screen.
She opened her wardrobe and quickly dressed up, and then she grabbed her backpack and headed to the coffee shop, where Zig was already waiting for her outside. She ran into him, and when he saw her, his face broke into a wide smile. Scarlett threw her arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her off the floor.
_Oh, my god, Zig! Can you believe this is our first Valentine’s day together? – she pulled back with a grin and he lowered her before cup her face between his hands to a passionate kiss.
_The first of many to come – he smiled – so, I have something to you – he turned to a bench where was his backpack, and behind it, he took a cup of latte, with cinnamon and caramel, and a chocolate cupcake – I know these are your favorites – Scarlett smiled sweetly.
_Thanks, Zig – she grabbed them from his hands with a quick kiss in his lips – I have a gift for you too, but I didn’t even think to bring it now.
_Hey, this is not my gift, babe – he pointed to her hands – did you really think I’d give you a latte and a cupcake for our first Valentine’s Day? – they giggled – I’ll give you tonight.
_Oh, yeah? – her eyes were wide – and did you plan something for us tonight?
_How about a nice dinner at a nice restaurant? I’ll pick you at your home at eight, okay?
_Great! What should I wear?
_It’s not a fancy restaurant, if that’s your doubt. You know your boyfriend’s a broke college student – Zig pouted and Scarlett stroked his cheek.
_And you know that your girlfriend too! She doesn’t need anything expensive, just be with you – they closed the distance to another lingering kiss – and I think I have the perfect outfit in mind.
_I’m pretty sure you’ll be stunning tonight – he smiled and looked at his phone – although I’d love to stay here with you all the day, my biology class starts in five minutes.
_My psychology class too. So I think we should be going – hand in hand, they headed to their classes, and parted ways after one more kiss. Thoughts about their date later popped into their heads during all the day.
Later that day, Scarlett was in her room getting ready for dinner with Zig. She wore a dark blue dress, with long sleeves, round skirt, whose hem was just above the knees, black pantyhose and high heels. She picked her purse and the gift over her desk and went into the living room, where Zack, Kaitlyn, Chris and Becca were watching TV and sharing a pizza.
_Wow, Scarlett! You look incredible! – Zack whistled and Scarlett whirled, with one hand on her waist.
_Yeah, Zig will be speechless! – Kaitlyn giggled.
_It looks like he’ll take you to a special place tonight.
_Well, he didn’t give me too many details, Chris, he just said it isn’t fancy.
_But with this outfit, you could go to anywhere five-star – Becca smiled.
_Thanks, Becca. And how about you, Singles Club?
_I suggested we could go to a bar to flirt, but nobody got excited – Chris sighed.
_Sorry, Chris, but this moment in my life is about finding out myself, and becoming a better person, so then I’ll be ready to love again – Becca threw her hair back, smirking, and they all cheered, laughing.
_That’s awesome, Becca! And you, Kaitlyn? Why you don’t call Annisa and invite her to hang out?
_I don’t want to rush things. We’re getting to know each other slowly and I like it that way.
_Just like me and Grant…but I’m very glad for you and Zig, and Tyler and Abbie! I talked to him today and things are great between them.
_Oh, thank God they finally made amends – suddenly, a honk outside warned that Zig had arrived. Scarlett said goodbye to her friends and left the house. Zig was waiting for her, leaning his car, arms folded against his chest to protect himself from the cold. When he saw Scarlett, he smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
_Didn’t I say you’d be stunning? – she smiled and they kissed – ready for your gift?
_Sure! But let’s do it in the car? It’s so cold out here! – they got into Zig’s car and Scarlett gazed at him, with his gift in her hands – happy Valentine’s day, Zig – she gave him the gift and Zig opened the package, and found a little box. Inside it, a picture frame with the photo they took in Little Italy. Scarlett smiling at the photo and Zig kissing her cheek. There was also a card, with a message in Scarlett’s handwriting: “Thanks for this date. I’ll never forget this night, so funny and romantic, but mainly special because I was with you”. Zig grinned as he read and turned to hug and kiss Scarlett.
_I’ll never forget either. And yeah, being together makes anything pretty special. I’ll put this beside my bed, to look at your smile every night before going to sleep and every morning after waking up – he put the photo back in the box, and Scarlett put it in the glove compartment in the car as he turned to get a larger box behind his seat – now it’s your turn, missy – Scarlett opened the gift and found a stuffed owl. On the card, Zig wrote: “The owl is a symbol of wisdom, intelligence and is often linked to writers. I always found it a beautiful meaning. And it has everything to do with you, especially this one that is cute and adorable just like you” – Scarlett chuckled, looking fondly at Zig.
_That’s so sweet! Horton got a friend! I’ll call him Zig Junior and cuddle with him when you can’t spend the night with me.
_That’s the idea. But I hope he doesn’t become your favorite cuddle buddy – Zig smirked, taking her face by her chin.
_Impossible. This title will always be yours – Scarlett closed the distance for a searing kiss. When they pulled back, she noticed a strange look in his eyes – Zig? Are you okay? Is there a problem?
_Scarlett, I… - he sighed deeply – I…I love you – he looked at her eyes, smiling shyly.
_Zig… - she grinned widely.
_Maybe you think I took too long to say it, but this kind of feeling is new for me. What I feel for you…it’s much stronger than I’ve ever felt for anyone before. You saw me beyond my appearance and my rough manners, you made me want to be different, you made me feel special and able to do anything I wanted. All that things I said to you, I was trying to express it. And today, I thought could be a perfect moment to say it: I love you, Scarlett.
_Oh, my angel… - she stroked his cheek – you didn’t take too long, you said just in time. And you also changed my life. With you I feel really extraordinary, strong and beautiful. You always remind me of the good things about me, and I feel safe and confident with you. I’ve never felt like this before either. I love you too, Zig, I love you so much – he also grinned before another lingering kiss – it couldn’t be a perfect Valentine’s Day without these three little words, right? – they smiled again.
_Yeah, you’re right – he rested his forehead on hers – I’m the luckiest guy in the world.
_And I’m the luckiest girl in the world – they kissed again – so, let’s have dinner? I’m hungry!
_Sure, let’s go – Zig started the car and they headed for the downtown. He parked the car beside an Asian-themed restaurant, and got out of the car to open the door for Scarlett – please, lady – he reached out to her, and she caught it, beaming.
_Thanks, sir – holding hands, they headed to the restaurant’s door, but Scarlett saw another restaurant across the street that made her chortle.
_What’s so funny? – Zig asked, confused.
_Nothing, just…I’ll tell you inside, let’s go in – at the door, the maître nodded at them and led them to a table near a big, gorgeous picture of a lotus flower. The maître moved away to call a waiter, and Zig pulled the chair to Scarlett. She giggled.
_I'll get used to it this way.
_Hey, tonight’s a special night, you deserve, my princess – he winked while sat on his chair, and a waiter arrived with the menus and left after taking orders. Scarlett took one of Zig’s hands on the table.
_So, who indicated this place to you?
_One of the guys of football. He’s a Thai food fan and I’ve been waiting for a perfect opportunity to come here with you – he squeezed her hand.
_I’m happy to try new things with you – she smiled – but now I’ll tell you why I was laughing when we arrived. There’s a restaurant across the street where I went last year with James when I met his parents. Do you remember that fiancée fiasco we mentioned during our summer road trip?
_Yeah, and you guys never told me the rest of the story! – Zig leaned back, crossing his arms, laughing.
_Now you’ll know. His parents were really hard at that time, they expected to see James as a business major and…engaged. So, he asked me to pretend to be his fiancée during a dinner with his parents. We created a story about our first meet, and we had to take all the possible care to keep our roles – Scarlett looked at Zig, an indecipherable expression in his face, before he burst out laughing.
_Oh boy, and how they discovered it all was a big lie?
_Well, after using all our theatrical skills, James decided to face them and told he wanted to be a writer and I was just a friend…at first they argued with him about his decision, but they accepted when they saw how talented and passionate he is.
_Wow, this was such a story – he laughed, shaking his head negatively – but you won their sympathy forever, as I saw when we went to their summer house.
_Yeah, they know I was just trying to help James.
_So…that day in Little Italy wasn’t the first time you had a role-play dinner? – Zig smirked and Scarlett giggled.
_Apparently not. That’s why I was great that day – she rested her chin on the back of her hand, winking to him. Zig took her other hand and kissed it.
_We should do this again, it was fun.
_Yeah, not today, because we’ve already talked to the waiter, but soon.
_Yeah, very soon – he looked into her eyes, grinning. She arched an eyebrow.
_Zig? What do you mean?
_I have another surprise for you, Scar. But it’s a gift for both of us – he took both of her hands – I know you’re working hard to save the house, and I’m working hard on the dance team and on improving my social skills, so I think we deserve a break. I made a reservation for us at a guesthouse at a small city in the hills. It’s one of those with cottages, you know? I researched a lot about the place, it's pretty and we won’t spend much. We go on Saturday morning very early and we’ll be back on Sunday night. What do you think? – Scarlett’s face lit up.
_Zig, it’s perfect! A break is all we need…
_Exactly. And since this Valentine’s Day is our first and we couldn’t stay together all day, we’ll have the whole weekend for just of us.
_Sounds amazing – it was Scarlett’s turn to kiss Zig’s hands – you’re the best boyfriend in the world, Zig.
_I just wanted our first Valentine’s Day to be special – he smiled.
_And you did it, my angel – Scarlett winked and the waiter arrived with their orders. During the dinner they continued to talk about the trip over the weekend.

Show Review: Monday Night Raw 15/10/18
MNR Review
Hello! Welcome to my first ever wrestling show review. A few administrative points before we get onto the actual show;
Firstly, this is my first time doing anything like this, so any kind of feedback or constructive criticism is highly appreciated. Secondly, this review is probably going to be quite lengthy due to Raw being 3 hours and there being a lot to discuss/mostly complain about. Lastly, this review is aimed at those who watch the product most weeks, so it is written assuming the reader knows the basic details of the show (commentators, ongoing storylines etc.), and I don’t plan to go through matches spot for spot unless something catches my eye particularly. Alright, lets get into the show!
We kick off with Michael Cole welcoming us to Philadelphia, PA. The crowd is fired up which seems to be the norm for Philly in my experience, having been at the 2014 Royal Rumble, famous for Roman Reigns being boo’d out of the building. Braun, Dolph and Drew make their entrance together. Seeing someone like Dolph mimic Braun’s mannerisms is always funny to me. Before they start their promo the phrases ‘best in the world’ and ‘world cup’ have been mentioned at least 3 times and I feel this is going to be an ongoing complaint of mine. They cut a pretty standard promo about being the greatest 3 man group in history after beating The Shield last week and we get a replay of McIntyre kicking Ambrose’s head off. I’m starting to not care for The Shield as much but the story with Dean potentially turning and the good in-ring work is just about keeping me interested. Braun talks about his match at Crown Jewel but much like Cole earlier doesn’t mention the location due to the obvious controversy. Drew and Dolph both mention ‘best in the world’ yet again and we get a bit of dissention as they talk about facing off in the finals of the world cup. Seth and Roman finally appear on the stage, Seth drops a cheesesteak reference and after saying nothing of relevance declares he’ll face Drew in a qualifying match for the world cup right now.
After adverts Drew/Seth kicks off which I’m very excited for since I like both guys a lot. They start with a nice wrestling sequence where Drew displays his obvious power advantage over Seth. Cole drops the ‘best in the world’ line once again and I die a bit inside. Drew gets Seth up for a powerbomb with a deadlift but gets countered. This spot was crazy smooth and I’m loving the ‘new’ McIntyre. Seth goes for the standard suicide dive but gets caught in a belly to belly on the outside. Again I wasn’t planning to go spot for spot but this match has started really hot. Dolph runs down to cause the distraction and Seth gets tossed into the bars beneath the ring, another great spot. After some back and forth including a great falcon arrow counter, Seth takes out both Drew and Dolph with a suicide dive each and Dean runs out to counter Ziggler’s interference. All 4 men fight outside and Drew gets curb stomped leading to a count-out victory for Seth. Great TV match between 2 guys who can certainly go, finish was a bit flat for me but I encourage you to watch this.
After a break we get a backstage promo from The Shield where Seth slips and calls Ambrose a lunatic. Ambrose talks about only being good for laughs despite always backing up Seth/Roman and it makes me long for the Ambrose turn.
We see a replay of DX’s promo from last week followed by a spooky Brothers of Destruction promo. I’m sort of excited for this match but I can’t take Kane seriously with this gear and DX doesn’t really work as a concept when both members are old corporate suits. This promo was completely standard boring nostalgia bait, but I understand some people like that.
Ember Moon is out next and yells down the camera like a mong ruining her entrance. Nia Jax appears and is apparently Ember’s tag partner. Back from ads and Tamina and Dana Brooke are in the ring. Cole mentions how this is Tamina’s return from injury and she doesn’t even get an entrance. Commentary shill a battle royale for the Evolution PPV featuring some of the best women in the company which I feel is slightly ridiculous. People like Asuka and Ember are far better than a battle royale, even Carmella has been improving leaps and bounds and should be featured more. This match is standard tag fare, when Nia and Tamina are in the ring together it really drags. Dana gets tagged in and eats the Eclipse for 3, thank god. After the match the women do that stupid spot where they throw people over the ropes before a battle royale just to show it’s possible. I’ve very quickly come down from the high of the first match.
We get a little video package of The Bellas turning on Ronda last week. Ronda makes her entrance smiling ear to ear which I dislike in such a personal feud as this. Once she grabs a mic she stops smiling for a second until the crowd chants for her and she cracks again. Ronda stumbles through her promo and The Bellas appear on the stage. They cut a promo about disrespect which is the second one of the show. According to The Bellas they made the word ‘diva’ mean something. Ronda sort of interrupts but literally just asks if they have anything else to say. She then talks about ‘sister soldiers’ and then rags on the Bellas for leeching off the names of their men which is the best line of the promo. ‘The only door you ever knocked down was the one to John Cena’s bedroom’, brutal. That causes Nikki Bella to spring into action by ripping off her shirt and twirling her arse for some reason. A security team come out and all die by Ronda’s hands. That was arduous. I think Ronda is great in the ring for how little she’s wrestled but my god are her promos awful.
They show a replay of big gold condom Kurt Angle winning the battle royale from last week which flows into a backstage promo with Kurt Angle in vacation gear. I refuse to believe that man doesn’t take his singlets on holiday. Acting GM Baron Corbin makes a match with Angle against The Authors of Pain later tonight.
Finally we get another match after suffering through that Bella promo. Luckily for me it’s Ambrose/Ziggler and I suddenly become interested in the show again. Dolph makes his entrance and for some reason he’s wearing a hoodie instead of his cool silver jacket from earlier. Michael Cole once again drops that bloody ‘best in the world’ line and at this point I’m looking for something to hang myself from. Ambrose snapmares Dolph and smacks him with a few crossfaces. I love Ambrose’s new style since his return matching his increased bulk. We get some standard TV match back and forth until Dean goes to the top rope and gets countered into an X-Factor. Dean lands kinda awkwardly on his feet first but the move looks fine and he doesn’t seem to be injured. Weirdly it’s at this point that the crowd die, I’m surprised they held on this long. Ambrose hits Dolph with the Hook and Ladder, a move from his indy wrestling days which he seems to be bringing back, and it looks really good. Drew runs out for some interference similarly to earlier and Rollins follows. Seth ends up distracting Dean and Dolph gets the superkick for the 3 count. This was a good TV match but I’m slightly bias since I love both guys. Ziggler winning was likely the right decision since most of the world cup field thus far was face.
Post-match Dean walks away but Seth gives chase almost leading to a brawl until Roman separates them. Corbin comes out and makes The Shield versus Braun, Dolph and Drew for the main event, for the 3rd show in a row. Roman stares daggers through Corbin. I’d like these two in a real feud at some point, maybe not for the belt though.
Mixed Match Challenge competitors Finn Balor and Bayley enter together. Finn is far better than this and I wish they’d do something with him. Backstage we get a little promo with Braun and his squad, basically the same thing as last week with Braun warning them not to screw up. Jinder and his crew are here wrestling Finn yet again. Bayley attempts to get a slow clap going to no reaction at all. Finn mercifully wins a completely nothing match with the Coup De Grace, please never let these two wrestle again. Randomly Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush make their way down to the ring. Lashley does some poses in the corner and Lio Rush spouts some weird lines about nobody smelling like Lashley. Finn literally just leaves without any trouble. Silly me for thinking they’d actually give Finn a decent storyline.
We come back from the break to Tyler Breeze getting ready to be sacrificed to the giant baby god Lashley. After even more poses from Bobby Breeze actually gets a shot in which surprised me. Lashley hits a Yokosuka cutter which looks really good, weird that he’s randomly switched from the Dominator he used to do to this but I like it.
Trish and Lita are out next for even more nostalgia. It’s lost on me since I didn’t watch in the Attitude Era but it’s nice for the live crowd if nothing else. Lita says one sentence then Alexa Bliss and Mickie James make their way out. James is dressed like Bliss and it looks like granny is trying way too hard. Alexa is a great promo and it’s no different here but Mickie is just very cringey. Trish and Lita try and appeal to a younger market and say the word ‘practice’ about 50 times. Nothing happens as per usual.
Some random is wearing Kurt’s big gold condom and wrestling the Authors of Pain. After this guy dies Kurt appears behind Corbin on the stage and barely gets him up for the Angle slam. Their match will probably be fine, but that’s more because I still enjoy Kurt Angle.
Riott Squad randomly pour condiments over Natalya’s dressing room door and Liv Morgan makes a noise like a dog being kicked. What was the point of this.
Riott Squad are out after another break. Natalya comes out next holding a microphone and I’m scared. Natalya is completely fine in the ring but should be nowhere near a mic. She cuts a bad promo and brings out Bayley and Sasha Banks as back up. Cole screams ‘IT’S BOSS TIME’ and suddenly I don’t hate the ‘best in the world’ stuff anymore. I’m a big fan of the Riott Squad especially Ruby but I couldn’t begin to care about Natalya or this match. Nattie gets Ruby in the Sharpshooter and all the women brawl with the faces standing tall. I’m conscious that this review may paint me as disliking women’s wrestling as a whole but it’s more than most of the women’s segments on this show have been questionable at best.
Here’s Elias next, he cuts a promo about the future and John Cena and rags on Philly and what I assume is a sporting mascot of some kind. I love Elias but he’s starting to wear a bit thin for me. I feel like they either need to do something of note with him or not, stop letting him stagnate. Apollo Crews of all people interrupts. He cuts a promo about how he can’t sing and he isn’t that funny and he’s not wrong. Crews is sick of people passing him by, and while I don’t rate him that highly, I’m all for new people getting a chance. Apollo hits an impressive military press causing Elias to flee. Pretty standard stuff here but at least it’s someone new.
Finally we’re at the main event. Braun, Drew and Dolph make their entrance together same as earlier and Dolph is back to the sick jacket rather than the hoodie. The Shield come out through the crowd and must fight through a sea of twats. Dean and Seth start off doing tag moves like nothing happened until Ziggler pushes Rollins into Dean and the tension starts again. Reigns manages to get a chant for himself while Ziggler is getting heat on him. Philly is not where I imagined Roman would actually get a positive chant. Braun and Drew tag themselves in a couple times and argue giving Reigns time to recover and hit a samoan drop on Braun. After a bit more standard action Roman finally makes a tag and Seth and Dean run wild taking out all 3 opponents. Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds on Drew but Dolph breaks up the pin with Seth’s body. Seth and Dean get into a bit of a brawl as Dolph hits the Zig Zag for a close 2 count. Roman dodges a claymore kick from Drew and sends him flying into Braun. Dolph eats the triple powerbomb for the 3 count and The Shield embrace and leave. After the match Braun yells at Ziggler for screwing up and not carrying his weight and murders him with a powerslam. Drew nails Braun with a claymore kick and stands tall. I think from an in ring standpoint this match was the weakest of the 3 these teams have had but story-wise it was great. I didn’t want to get this deep into all the spots of the match but there was so much story ground to cover I couldn’t really help it.
Overall this show was a bit of a drag to get through but that’s not shocking from a 3 hour show. Whilst there were many highlights like the Shield storyline and matches, the women’s segments were poorly planned and executed and made the show feel far longer than it was. If I had the choice I’d give this show a miss, definitely not a must-watch Raw.

Conversations With The Unconcious
So I think this is the first full fanfiction I have ever written for anything. It feels a little weird. I did not expect for this to be as long as it is and I don’t really have a grasp on characterization for all the characters I used, so I apologize in advance if any characters seem off. I used Emily as the name of the MC because it’s the default and it was the easiest to remember besides the name of my own (who is named after a video game character so...)
I also apologize for any typos or grammatical errors. It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything besides D&D notes and text rpg posts.
When I heard about Kaitlyn Appreciation Week I knew immediately I wanted to write something. But it wasn’t until the finale of The Sophomore Book 2 that I had an idea. What if something happened that put the gang into a situation where they each showed their appreciation for Kaitlyn in their own way? The name of the piece is based on the trope I used. Please enjoy.
Words: 3600+
The characters, of course, are not mine.
“Excuse me, are you the group that came in with the car accident late last night?” the doctor’s soft voice catches the attention of the group of young adults huddled together in the waiting area of the ER, most holding hands as they wait. “Yes,” Emily stands up quickly. “Do you have any news?” The doctor nods, looking to the charts he carries, “Do any of you have relation to Ms. Liao?” Shaking a bit at the coldness in the doctor’s tone, Emily nods, “I’m her girlfriend. We…we were about to move in with each other.” “I see,” the man makes a note, “And her parents?” “There’s a delay. They live in Texas and,” Emily pauses to compose herself, her voice beginning to crack, “They should arrive tomorrow morning.”
Another note, hidden behind his clipboard, “If you would follow me, please?” Emily looks to the others, who gesture for her to follow the doctor. “What about the other two? The driver and the front passenger? Tyler and Abbie?” “A broken leg and bruised ribs for the driver. The passenger has some cuts, bruised ribs, and some neck trauma. They’re being moved to non-emergency rooms. Ms. Liao is being moved to ICU,” he responds as he begins to lead Emily towards a room just past the triage nurse.
A few minutes later, Emily makes her way back to the group slowly, her face contorted, her eyes barely holding back tears. She steps forward, her right hand holding tightly onto her left arm. “I have the room numbers for Tyler and Abbie, as well as Kaitlyn. Tyler and Abbie can have as many visitors as the room will handle, but Kaitlyn’s,” she takes a deep breath and Zack’s quickly there to pull her into a deep hug.
“It’s okay, let it out. What did the doctor say?” he assures her.
“She hit her head pretty bad, they had to induce,” tears well up her eyes, she can’t force herself to admit it. A coma. The woman she loves, the woman she was just earlier looking forward to waking up every day to the sight of, is in a coma. The others nod, understanding the gravitas of the situation and how any word that follow could not have been good. “Any idea on when she’ll wake up?” Chris asks, trying to focus on something hopeful instead of the current reality.
Emily shakes her head, “They say when the swelling goes down, if her body is ready, it should wake up on its own. They’re going to explain more to me right now, but they said all of you could go to the rooms. The ICU only allows two visitors at a time, though.” “Are Abbie and Tyler awake?” Chris asks as everyone begins to stand up. “They should be, yeah,” Emily answers as she turns and gives Zack a hug, “Thanks for helping me calm down.” “Hey, you do the same to us all the time. Now go find out if there’s anything we can do for our girl.” As Emily walks back to speak with the doctor, the others begin to break off into the groups that will visit Tyler and Abbie first, and which ones will go visit Kaitlyn. Since Tyler and Abbie are both awake and able to receive more than two visitors, most of the group decides to head there first. Becca decides to go visit Kaitlyn, not wanting to intrude on the reunion of the group with friends they’ve known far longer than her. Plus, she’s still not sure how to deal with this new Sebastian. She gasps as she enters the ICU room, alone, the others deciding quickly the other visitor spot should be left open for Emily as much as possible. The younger girl looks so frail on that bed, tubes sticking out of her arms, monitors giving her vitals. Nervous, Becca diverts her gaze and focuses on the early morning rise of the sun. It’s hard to believe they were all so happy less than twelve hours ago. And now this. “You may not believe me when I say this, Liao, but…I do care about you,” she begins tentatively. She knows the other girl probably can’t hear her, but you never know. And if she can get Kaitlyn to wake up, wouldn’t Emily be surprised? “I know, I know I have a really shitty way of showing it most times but, it’s true. I did actually want you to join Kappa your freshman year. You would have been a great sister,” she turns and looks over at Kaitlyn, her eyes drifting over the sleeping form. “I still remember your birthday when you collapsed. It was the first night Emily and I exchanged words that didn’t sound like we wanted to murder each other. She really loves you, Liao,” her eyes focus into the distance, her thoughts drifting to things that may have been. “I was so stupid, spent so much energy on hating her and she somehow became one of my best friends. And, I’d like to think you have too. I don’t have friendly banter with just anyone, you know.” Running a hand through her hair, she strides over and takes Kaitlyn’s hand, “So you need to wake up, Liao. Because we both know if anything happens that girl will never forgive herself.” The sound of the door opening startles her and she drops Kaitlyn’s hand quickly, turning to see Sebastian entering the room. “Oh, I’m sorry Rebecca, I was just a little overwhelmed by the sense of comradery amongst the other group, I’ll leave,” he says with a bow as he turns to exit the room. “No, stay,” Becca replies hastily, “I’ll go see how Tyler and Abbie are doing.” Awkwardly, she steps past Sebastian and leaves the room. Sebastian glances around, nervous about the hospital, about being alone, about what Emily will say if she arrives and he’s the only one in the room. Yet he soldiers on, stepping over to the bed and sitting down beside it. He glances at the readings on the monitors as he begins to speak, shakily at first, but finds his footing eventually. “I just wanted to let you know that I truly admire what you and Emily share. That bond of yours that is so unbreakable it rewrote James’ script to give the two of you a happy ending. Well, that play wasn’t your happy ending, Kaitlyn.” He smiles, remembering that play, “I was too wrapped up in my petty feud with Christopher to ever tell you this back then, but you were remarkable on that stage. You held your own with experienced actors and helped that performance to be what it was. A villain, after all, is only as good as their hero, and I’d play the villain to your hero any time.” He gives her arm and light pat as he stands up, “I would really like to be your friend someday, so, as selfish as this may sound, please wake up.” Pensively, he takes one more look to Kaitlyn before heading to the door, where he runs into Emily in the hall. “Sebastian,” she says with a welcoming smile, “Were you the only one in there?” “Yes, Rebecca had been visiting before myself but, I became overwhelmed by the crowd in the other room.” “I can understand that,” she says, glancing at the door, “Does she look peaceful?” “Very,” he answers with a sad grin as he makes his way down the hall to the elevator. Nervous, Emily fidgets with her fingers, as she closes her eyes. She takes a deep breath. And then another. And another. She knows she needs to go in there, but she’s afraid of the unknown. She’s afraid of what seeing the woman she loves in this state will do to her. She closes her eyes even tighter and takes another deep breath, nearly jumping out of her skin when she feels the strong hand claps her shoulder. “Emily, are you alright?” James asks. “You looked as though you were hyperventilating.” Her eyes having shot open, she nervously nods in agreement, “I’m fine. I just…would you like something to drink? It’s been a long night and I need some coffee.” “Sure,” he affirms, stepping inside as Emily went to fetch some coffee. He steps towards Kaitlyn’s bed, taking in the sight of his friend, “I don’t know when Emily will be back, so I have to make this quick, Kaitlyn,” he begins. “I wish I’d found more time to spend with you and the rest of the group. I wish I hadn’t allowed my naivety to sweep me off to a fruitless endeavor, even if the resulting film was so, so, hilariously bad. You impressed me, Kaitlyn, I had no idea you would still know your lines nearly a year later. I admire that about you, your dedication to things you enjoy. That drive to just ignore what others think and do what makes you happy. I was afraid you’d lose that when the incident with your parents happened, but it only reinforced it. I wish my parents were half as understanding as yours. If…if I had your same devil may care pesonality, perhaps I would have decided on writing even sooner. Perhaps I wouldn’t have had to hide it for so long from my parents. Perhaps…” he shakes his head. “That’s why I know you’ll wake up, Kaitlyn. You just won the battle of the bands. You’re getting an apartment with Emily. The Kaitlyn I know wouldn’t let a car accident stop her from those dreams. I won’t ask you to wake up, just to hurry along with it.” The door opening causes James to step back as Emily enters the room, glancing nervously anywhere but the bed as she hands him the cup. When her eyes finally fall on her sleeping girlfriend, tears begin to streak down the sides of her face. “It’s really her, James. This is really happening,” she says in disbelief. “Last night was so happy. She had just asked me to move in,” Emily strokes the side of her girlfriend’s face. “And now look at us.” “What I see is still two people very much in love. She’ll wake up, Emily. Of that I have no doubt.” Emily sighs and looks around, “I want to bring some of her stuff up here. If she’s possibly going to be here for a while, I want it to feel more like her room. Would you be willing to help me gather some her things?” “I’d be happy to help. Maybe we can get our football playing friends to help as well?” he suggests. “We’ll grab some lunch as well, you haven’t eaten since yesterday’s small lunch.” She agrees, leaning down to kiss Kaitlyn gently on the lips, “I’ll be right back, Kait. I love you.” Not long after James and Emily leave the room, the door once again opens as Zack comes carefully stepping inside. “Aw, geez,” he says, seeing his friend laying there. “I don’t really know what to do in situations like this. I wish I had my favorite lesbian power couple around to walk me through dealing with this,” he laughs. “You’re going to be fine. I just, thank you for pushing me to be a more confident me. I know, how could I be more confident, but you and Emily really helped me out when Brandon had me flustered in the fall quarter, and even through the breakup. I really appreciate all of that. Sure, there were some bumpy times Freshman spring quarter, but I like to think we all came out more mature. Okay, maybe we just came out,” he winks at Kaitlyn, waiting for a response that doesn’t come, “Oh, I should go get my ice cream shirt so that the first thing you wake up to is your favorite friend in your favorite shirt.” A knock at the door alerts Zack to more visitors as he opens the door to Annisa, Amara, and Rachel. Annisa and Amara step into the room while Rachel is slower, carrying some spaghetti from the hospital cafeteria inside a Styrofoam container. “Hello, Zack,” Annisa smiles as he waves them in. “Hello, you may need to hurry, there’s only supposed to be two at a time in here,” he warns, “So I’ll let you visit with her.” “Thanks for the heads up,” Amara replies, “We’ll try to make it quick.” As Zack leaves, Rachel wanders off towards the restroom while Amara and Annisa sit down next to Kaitlyn. “Kaitlyn, I just wanted to tell you how much fun it’s been being in the band with you,” Annisa begins, her voice faltering a bit, “And I know it’s going to keep being fun as soon as you’re out of here. So, you better wake up quick so you don’t forget how to play guitar. Please.” “What Annisa is trying to say is that we can’t imagine the band without our lead singer and guitarist. You formed us, pulled Rachel and I away form Natasha’s toxicity and brought in Annisa with her fresh sound and talent. You’re why we’re where we are, and sure I’m going to London but I’m still a part of this band and your friend. And,” she pauses, wiping a tear from her cheek, “And you’re not allowed to upstage my temporary exit with a permanent one, hear me?” She gets up to head to the restroom as Rachel makes her way out, sitting down where Amara had just been as she taps the armrest of the hospital bed. “I, uh, don’t really know how this emotional stuff usually goes,” Rachel begins. “I just know you’re one of the few people who has consistently tolerated me and, that makes you one of my best friends and junk? So…” “Why is there spaghetti in the shower?!” Amara screams from the restroom. “Oh, I thought we could help her feel more at home if she had food in her shower,” Rachel answered as Amara comes walking back inside. “Also, the food was horrible and I needed to get rid of it.” “That’s what trash cans are for!” Rachel scoffs, “Okay, sure, trash cans. Like those exist.” Annisa and Amara both look at her in horror. “It was a joke, relax. I know what a trash can is. In concept,” Rachel says. The three band members continue to sit and talk about and to Kaitlyn until a passing nurse warns them its only two visitors allowed at a time. As they leave, they pass Emily and Zig who are bringing up some small personal affects of Kaitlyn’s, her guitar being carried by Emily. They chat in the hallway before allowing Emily and Zig to head back to the room.
Once inside, Emily sets about making the room feel just a tiny bit more lived in as Zig watches in amazement at how dedicated she is to making the room feel more welcoming for when Kaitlyn wakes up. Emily sets the guitar off to the side where it’s out of the way, but where Kaitlyn will still see it. Turning to Zig, she asks, “How does it look?” “It feels very Kaitlyn,” he admits. “I’m going to go see if there’s anything in Chris’s box that we might need,” she says as she rushes out of the room, trying to feel like she’s helping in any way. “Looks like we’re alone,” Zig says, looking over to Kaitlyn as he sits down. He sighs, “I know you and I haven’t always seen eye to eye on a lot of things in this group. Our first meetings weren’t exactly the best. But you’ve been there for me even when I was unsure of this group. During the summer and this year all of you have become some of my best friends. So I’m going to be here for you now, okay? I don’t want to hear an argument, that’s my final decision.”
That evening, Chris and Emily sit in silence as she reads a book next to Kaitlyn’s bed and he thumbs through his phone. It’s a comfortable silence, one they had once been afraid they would never share after all the drama in freshman year. Looking at the time, Chris sighs, “Visiting hours are almost up, you going to be okay with her tonight?” Emily looks up, giving a thankful smile, “I’ll be fine. I want to be here in case she wakes up and for when her parents arrive tomorrow morning.” He nods as he stands and turns to Kaitlyn, “Well, Kaitlyn,” he begins. “Do you want me to leave?” Emily offers, “So you can talk to her alone?” Chris shakes his head, “No, anything I have to say doesn’t need to be hidden.” He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, and continues anew, “Kaitlyn, I know a lot about people disappointing you. My father, teammates. And I’ve done my share of disappointing as well, allowing myself to get so distracted by student government that I lost track of my friends. But you? You’ve never disappointed me. When I was running for student council president you were going through so much personal stuff with your parents and you stayed by my side and really pushed me through to the end. I’ll never forget what a thoughtful friend you’ve been to me and, if given the chance, I’d like to try to be to you even half the friend you’ve been to me,” as he finishes, he looks over to Emily who is wiping tears from her eyes. He moves over to her, leaning down and giving her a hug, “Take care of the rock star, okay?” “I will. See you tomorrow,” she sniffs as he ends the hug and walks out of the room.
And then she is alone. Alone with her thoughts. Alone with Kaitlyn. God, the thought of being alone with Kaitlyn has always filled her with such joy and now it was only bringing anxiety. Thoughts of worst case scenarios filter through as Emily continues to try and distract herself with the book. Finally, she gives in and puts the book down and just stares at her girlfriend for the longest time. She looks so vulnerable. Just laying there asleep, all those tubes. “Even now you’re gorgeous,” Emily says with a slight smile, “I still remember that first day. I was covered in coffee and yet you complimented me and all my useless brain could think to say was ‘you’re hot.’ But it was so true then and so true now.”
Gently, Emily leans over and takes Kaitlyn’s hand in hers. “We’ve shared so many firsts together. First kisses. First girlfriends. First...,” she blushes, “Our first fight. My first college road trip. My first trip to Texas. First rented house. My first punk rock concert. So many. And we’ve got so many to look forward to. Our first apartment, alone, together. Our first testing of the bed. And,” she fights back the swell of emotion building in her chest to push forward, “I could see myself spending the rest of my life with you, Kait. I want to have some onlys with you too. My only wife. The only woman I want to grow old with. The only other woman I want to raise a family with. But you must wake up for that, okay? I know you want to be a rock star, but this brush with mortality thing? That’s the one rock life aspect I’m banning you from. No more of this. Let’s make it through one year without you ending up in the hospital okay?” Finally, the tears can’t be controlled as they streak down her cheek and fall to the sheet below as she leans over and gives her girlfriend a deep kiss. “Please wake up, K. Please. You’ve always been the one I lean on when things get bad and this is the worst they’ve ever been and…and I don’t know what I’d be without you. You give me so much confidence just by being around me. You pushed me into that financial aid office, you got me the internship with Vasquez. God, Vasquez, I was a mess when he died, but you were there for me. My rock. The constant that’s helped me grow into the writer I am today. Without you, I might have dropped out of college. Without you, I might not have any of the friends I currently do. So, you need wake up, Kaitlyn, because I don’t want to know a what a world without you would be like, okay? I love you so much.” Quietly, she begins to sob as she lays her head across her girlfriend’s chest and holds tightly onto Kaitlyn’s hand. She doesn’t know when, but eventually her eyes grow heavy, and sleep overtakes her.
The first thing she notices is that her head hurts, the second thing is the hand on her breast, which considering the last thing she remembers was leaning forward to show Abbie a picture on her phone, seems very strange. She opens her eyes, noticing the unfamiliar ceiling of the hospital as she looks down to the sleeping woman sitting next to her, her body draped over her own and a hand that had once clasped hers but drifted to a more familiar home during the night. And then her whole body hurts, but it’s worth it as she looks down at her sleeping girlfriend, almost feeling too guilty to wake her up. She begins to lightly move her arm, nudging the sleeping girl whose eyes slowly begin to rise then shoot open in shock when they make eye contact. “Heey,” Kaitlyn says, “Not that I’m complaining, but I think hospitals tend to frown on sex in the rooms,” she winks mischievously as she nods to Emily’s hand. Blushing as she takes her hand away, Emily smiles as she ignores the pain in her back from her sleeping position to kiss her girlfriend passionately. “You dork,” she says as she pulls away. “But you love me,” she grins, that slight smile that takes Emily’s breath away. “I do. So so much.”

The 20 Best Character Introductions In Movie History..
Heath Ledger as the Joker in the initial scene of The Dark Knight.. Learn more here หนังซีรีย์มาใหม่
Much the same as, all things considered, early introductions in a film can represent the moment of truth a character for the crowd. We start causing decisions on characters from the subsequent they to show up on the screen, so all through film history, producers have tried to discover new and intriguing approaches to acquaint their characters with a clueless crowd. Would you be able to envision meeting Indiana Jones in some other setting than him swiping that antiquated symbol from the platform? Or on the other hand Quint being presented without that ear-parting scratch along the writing slate? The initial introduction of the character advises our sentiments about them immediately. Presentations are everything. Learn more here หนังซีรีย์มาใหม่
These are irrefutably the most elite artistic meet and welcomes you'll actually observe. Don't hesitate to appreciate this rundown with our it's friend piece, The 40 Greatest Opening Scenes of All Time. Right away, here are the 20 Best Movie Character Introductions Of All Time.
20
Trunchbull (Matilda)
The character that cooled each kid's heart when Matilda was first delivered is presented in tremendously scaring style. Miss Trunchbull (Pam Ferris) is first uncovered displaying a riding crop and flexing her elastic gloves. While never demonstrating her face, the camera follows her as she walks through the bustling play area, woofing orders and reprimanding kids ("You're excessively little. Grow up quicker!")
Chief Danny DeVito utilizes some exemplary realistic stunts to present one of Roald Dahl's most alarming reprobates. Matilda, and the crowd, learn dispersed clues about Trunchbull's evilness as the film starts. The riddle encompassing this unfeeling drill sergeant fabricates and works until Matilda's first day at school. Upon her presentation, DeVito retains indicating Trunchbull's face until the last conceivable second, letting the characters meekly murmur dreadful legends about the head as she meanders through the horde of youngsters. We see her boots, the rear of her head, and that agonizing looking riding crop. She gets more frightening in our psyches the more we abandon seeing her, Jaws-style. These realistic methods set up for one of the most terrifying huge bads in kids' film history.
19
Jesus (The Big Lebowski)
One of the numerous delights of the Coen Brother's filmography is their capacity to change from dangerous genuine to shamelessly senseless on the turn of a dime. Think about the distinction between Anton Chigurh's presentation in No Country for Old Men (another fantastic true to life presentation that lamentably missed the cut on this rundown) and afterward balance it with the presentation of Jesus (John Turturro) in The Big Lebowski. It's difficult to accept these two scenes were created by similar producers.
As the Gipsy Kings pluck a Spanish front of "Lodging California", we watch Jesus fix the strings on his bowling shoes and easily pull his glossy silk, knee length socks up his leg. With a practically strict formality, he gets the ball. He wears a device that ensures the pointer finger on his bowling hand. He erotically licks the ball. The name on his purple jumpsuit peruses "Jesus". Jesus sends the ball down the path for a simple strike. The Dude, Donny, and Walter look on in scorn. The whole scene is proudly silly and a flat out pleasure. Learn more here หนังซีรีย์มาใหม่
18
Tyler Durden (Fight Club)
We meet Tyler Durden a few times before we meet Tyler Durden in Fight Club. We're first mindful of the character as he holds a weapon in the mouth of The Narrator (Edward Norton). We at that point see brief, subconscious appearances of the strange man as The Narrator slips all through light sleeper states. However, we don't generally meet Tyler Durden until he imparts a passageway to The Narrator on a plane.
Tyler Durden illuminates The Narrator with paranoid notions and stories with respect to flight, cleanser making, everything. He's easily cool. The Narrator is in evident stunningness, having met the man that is everything The Narrator needs to be. He attempts to intrigue Tyler with his smart little perception, depicting Durden as the most fascinating "single-serving companion" he's ever met on a plane. Tyler's reaction? "How's being astute turning out for you? Great? Keep it up at that point." Then Tyler makes for the rear of the plane, however not prior to sharing a perception, that is difficult to not consider as you leave a walkway of seats. "As I leave, the undying inquiry. Do I give you the ass or the groin?" Tyler Durden enters the scene and the world pays heed.
17
Elle Driver (Kill Bill)
Subsequent to being left for dead by Bill (David Carradine), The Bride (Uma Thurman) lies senseless in an emergency clinic bed. Machines signal and hum as she lies, totally still, eyelids shut. From down the medical clinic lobby comes a whistled tune. The whistle is energetic and light, differentiating the dim, unpropitious medical clinic corridors. The tune is being whistled by Elle Driver, codename: California Mountain Snake. She's drawing nearer and closer to The Bride with a needle loaded with toxic substance to complete the undertaking that Bill began.
The mounting pressure in this scene is practically choking. In a split screen, we see the eyepatch-wearing Elle come consistently nearer to The Bride's emergency clinic room while our legend dozes. We continue trusting her eyelids will ripple and she'll awaken as expected, yet she just lies there, totally powerless against the professional killer advancing down that clinic foyer. Fortunately, a call from Bill occupies Elle from her main goal, and The Bride lives to render her retribution. Learn more here หนังซีรีย์มาใหม่

Harry Lime (The Third Man)
Cautioning, spoilers for a seventy year old film are to follow.
Orson Welles sure realizes how to make a passage. As we'll get to later, he acquaints us with one of the most renowned film characters ever, in one of the most artistically flawless arrangements ever, in the 1941 work of art, Citizen Kane. In 1949, eight years after his showstopper, Welles showed up in Carol Reed's noir spine chiller, The Third Man. In it, he makes another astonishing, noteworthy prologue to the crowd. The second is especially amazing on the grounds that, until the second he shows up on the screen, we had thought he was dead.
The Third Man discovers mash author Holly Martins (Joseph Cotten) showing up in post-war Vienna in line with his companion, Harry Lime. Upon his appearance however, he discovers that Harry Lime has as of late passed on in a baffling car crash. Riddles lead to more puzzles, and soon Martins doesn't have a clue who to trust. At that point, partially through the film, the greatest stun of everything is uncovered. Harry Lime is perfectly healthy, and has data for Martins.

Hit Girl And Big Daddy (Kick-Ass)
The first occasion when we meet Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) he's planning to shoot his little girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) in the chest. In an evaporated waterway pipe, they're somewhere down amidst another superhuman exercise when we first drop in on them. Hit Girl discloses to her dad she's terrified, which is a justifiable response when your dad is preparing a six millimeter handgun on you. The brightness of the scene is the ordinariness with which the two characters talk about the preparation. Hit Girl and Big Daddy arrange being shot in the chest similar way most kids would arrange eating their vegetables.
At the point when the second at last comes, the effect of the slug thumps Hit Girl off her feet. The impenetrable vest under Hit Girl's pink coat halted the shot. Huge Daddy causes her up, and consents to take her out for bowling and frozen yogurt on the off chance that she will take two additional projectiles with no recoiling or whimpering. The part of Hit Girl was a breakout one for Chloe Grace Moretz, and Nicolas Cage's exhibition as Big Daddy was a re-visitation of structure for the entertainer. Their crazy science is in plain view from their absolute first scene together.

Daniel Craig's James Bond (Casino Royale)
Less of a presentation, and all the more a re-presentation, the launch of Casino Royale is a smaller than expected masterclass in true to life narrating. The launch of this film needed to achieve many things in a short measure of time. For one, it needed to guarantee crowds that Daniel Craig would make an acceptable 007. There had been debate encompassing his projecting, with fans guaranteeing the British entertainer didn't fit the job. For another, the film needed to show it's especially unexpected tone in comparison to the first Pierce Brosnan Bonds. This Bond was grittier, hazier, and more reasonable. Lastly, the opening must be an energizing and thrilling reemergence into the famous universe of James Bond. Gambling club Royale's opening figures out how to do the entirety of that, to say the least.
The film begins clearly, with MI6 segment boss, Dryden, discovering Bond in his office late around evening time. The two talk about Bond's not-exactly 00 status, and we discover that it takes two affirmed slaughters before a specialist can be viewed as a 00. Intercut with the exchange is an instinctive battle scene among Bond and Dryden's surveillance contact. The whole arrangement plays like some sort of arthouse activity scene, and it fills in as an exciting prologue to one of the best Bond entertainers ever. Learn more here หนังซีรีย์มาใหม่

Jack Sparrow (Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl)
Could there be a more ideal prologue to the personality of Jack Sparrow than him cruising into port on a sinking transport? After a chilling opening scene highlighting a youthful Elizabeth Swan experiencing privateers on the cloudy sea, we streak forward twenty years into the future to discover Jack Sparrow peering toward the coastline from his crow's home. He should swing down to rescue a couple of bucketfuls of water, as his boat is sinking rapidly. The tanned and beaded privateer pauses for a minute to salute his fallen brethren, hanging in notice outside the city's dividers, before his boat coasts into port. Sparrow steps legitimately off his completely lowered boat onto the harbor and walks around the city, consummately exhibiting the Bugs Bunny-esque material science that will come Learn more here หนังซีรีย์มาใหม่

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 3 Review: Alaska
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This Fear the Walking Dead review contains spoilers.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 3
I have to say, we may only be three episodes in, but I’m really enjoying Fear the Walking Dead season 6 so far. Sure, maybe it’s the prolonged cabin fever talking—we are seven months into a pandemic, after all. Or maybe Fear the Walking Dead has finally hit its stride.
Before we really delve into this episode, though, I will say this: I haven’t given many 5-star ratings to Fear over the last five seasons I’ve reviewed the show, but “Alaska” is as close to perfect as you can get. So much of what makes this episode work is due to Colman Domingo’s solid direction and Mallory Westfall’s smart, heartfelt script. But in the end, strong performances from Austin Amelio, Maggie Grace, and newcomer Devyn Tyler carry the day. In short, “Alaska” is beautiful in so many unexpected ways, from little visual flourishes to small acts of kindness.
Domingo and Westfall bring newfound clarity to familiar characters, imbuing them with a kind of authenticity that makes us root for them in a way that was difficult with the Clark family. It’s not enough that Al and Dwight need to reunite with Isabelle or Sherry—we want them to succeed, to find happiness, to beat the odds. With the Clarks, they were so often responsible for what befell them. (Seriously, they were.)
In any case, “Alaska” presents a straightforward enough premise: a recon mission that eventually goes off the rails. Just like Strand and Alicia turning the tide to their advantage in last week’s “Welcome to the Club,” Al and Dwight find a way to exploit their ongoing recon of doomed encampments. Their latest mission leads them to a funeral home, and it’s here that the episode employs first-person video. Fortunately, the first-person shaky-cam is used sparingly here, and to great effect—unlike last season’s “Channel 5.”
But as I said, Domingo is quick to dispense with the bodycam recordings, allowing viewers to truly appreciate the moodiness of both Jalaludin Trautmann’s cinematography and Bernardo Trujillo’s production design. From the lighting to the set dressing to the way the characters move through these spaces, there is a palpable, pervasive dread that hangs over every bit of action and every line of dialogue. While Al and Dwight might be proficient zombie-killers, the real danger they face is the inescapable reality that they’ve surrendered their humanity one scavenged driver’s license at a time. Indeed, this macabre game of theirs—collecting licenses from all 50 states—is dehumanizing to the dead and living alike. People so seldom mourn the dead now, to the point that a funeral home is truly a relic of a bygone era. So whatever happiness there is to be had, even if it’s lighthearted banter over a couple of skunky beers, it’s done so with a nod to existing in a world with little time for empathy.
That is, until they meet Nora (Devyn Tyler). She’s been holed up in the same office building since the world ended. I appreciate the irony of a travel agent who hasn’t been outside in years. But more about her in just a bit.
In the meantime, the clock is ticking on Al’s ambush/reunion with Isabelle, who’s been using the roof of Nora’s building as a drop site to conduct Civic Republic Military business. As you might recall, this mysterious paramilitary organization has been popping up throughout The Walking Dead universe. Last season’s excellent “The End of Everything” not only introduced us to Isabelle, it also shed some light on thw CRM. But it wasn’t until the new Walking Dead spin-off series World Beyond that we finally discover how far-reaching and pernicious CRM really is.
It turns out there’s yet another mysterious group spreading trouble, though, as evidenced by the cryptic, spray-painted message THE END IS THE BEGINNING. We first saw this scrawled on a marooned submarine, and now it’s turned up in the lobby of Nora’s office building. The very same building that’s teeming with Bubonic plague.
Which brings us back to Nora, whose fellow survivors are infected with the aforementioned plague. Dwight wants to stay and help but Al cuts and runs. She knows Ginny will never waste valuable resources on a lost cause like this one. Nora refuses to let them off the hook, though. The infected are her family, which is why it pains her to watch them suffer. But it’s not until she’s forced to kill her reanimated coworkers that “Alaska” makes the most out of small gestures. Like Al returning the sought-after Alaska driver’s license to someone who will actually cherish it, as Nora does.
In the end, Al risked everything to reunite with Isabelle, but experiences a last-minute change of heart. Who would have thought that a shot of a helicopter hovering against the night sky could carry so much hope and heartbreak? Grace plays Al with so much uncharacteristic vulnerability in this scene, especially when she delivers one of the episode’s best lines. “It is good to hear your voice,” she says over the radio to Isabelle. “Because there aren’t many people left.”
If you were disappointed that Al and Isabelle remained apart, fear not, as “Alaska” is poised to tug one more time at viewers’ heartstrings. Like Dwight, I never thought he’d find Sherry (Christine Evangelista). And yet after months (or is it years?) of fruitless searching, she’s suddenly within running distance. One could argue this scene belongs in a rom-com, not a zombie drama. But I disagree. In this bleak world, their tearful, joyous reunion offers the kind of earned happiness that was often missing from earlier seasons. In other words, I loved every second of this scene.
Of course, Morgan shows up in “Alaska” too, in a brief yet effective prologue. Lennie James does a lot with little screen time, ruminating on what it means to start over, to become someone else in the aftermath of personal failures. “I feel like I’ve been 16 different somebodies since it all ended,” he confesses to Rachel (Brigitte Kali Canales).
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Luckily for Morgan and for loyal viewers, this really is a whole new ballgame.
