We really as a society need to just fucking get over it and have the men and women wrestle each other. There can obviously be separate divisions and titles but thinking of how much potential for great storylines is being wasted physically hurts me. How great would mixed tag titles be (obviously we need women’s titles first)? For the first one they could have a big tournament and have all the couples compete and have the finals be on Valentines Day or some shit, it would be adorable. Who wouldn’t want to see Toni Storm and Juice Robinson team together? Or Britt Baker and Adam Cole, Anna Jay and Jack Perry, Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian, etc. I know I would.

Or they could have a blind eliminator tournament like they just did for the men, and pair up men and women who otherwise never would have spoken to each other. You never know, they could very well strike gold like they did with the MJF/Adam Cole pairing. I think they would.

Not to mention the great singles matches we could have, the feuds they could be put in. Plus you have someone like Kris Statlander who’s with the Best Friends and has such great chemistry with them but can never be part of the feuds they’re in if the other group doesn’t have a female member, and they can’t ever help her out in her feuds, it’s just dumb as fuck.

I think it could also help with the sub-par booking of the women’s division, too. They would get more time to shine. Obviously we need more matches with just women, but I would love more than anything to see those women kick the asses of some of those men. Those matches and storylines could be epic.

Anyway, sorry if that was messy or slightly incoherent I’m just really passionate about this particular issue and just heard that Rey Fenix wouldn’t be able to go to Wembley, prompting me to practically scream “so just let Stat join them for fucks sake!”

Edit: I wasn’t really clear in the post originally but I meant this this as strictly about AEW! I am aware that intergender wrestling does exist and has been done, I just meant that it should become the norm for the big companies (i.e. AEW. I don’t follow WWE so I can’t speak on what they’re doing over there. Someone that watches it regularly can speak on what they’re doing in this regard).

How will this work?

The polls will have the following options:

1) Yes on the microphone skills / Yes on the wrestling skills: Pro-wrestling material! Not only can they wow an audience with their in-ring skills, they also got the acting chops needed to cut a promo.

2) Yes on the microphone skills / No on the wrestling skills: They got the acting chops, but they suck in the ring. Either they can’t pull off the moves, they’re not safe enough and end up legitimately hurting their opponent, they’re boring to watch fight, or some other reason you can think of.

3) No on the microphone skills / Yes on the wrestling skills: So your character can definitely pull off an entertaining match. But can they cut a promo? If you feel the character ends up embarrassing themselves if they have to sell a storyline (too boring, bad at public speaking, goes off-script too much, can’t act, etc), this is the option for them.

4) No on the microphone skills / No on the wrestling skills: Your character wouldn’t cut it at all as a pro-wrestler. Sorry, but it’s a tough job! Not everyone can do it.

It started out as a secret, something the two of you found fun, a more... interactive, way to decompress from life and work. Although, you couldn’t help your mind from wandering into the world where you and Kenny were public and in a real relationship. You wanted more. So, you went to a few old friends for advice instead. Before AEW, you had a few spots on WWE but were mainly shoved in the back behind the typical highlighted female wrestlers. However, you always kept your friendships close.

Jon and Claudio were like big brothers to you. The report between you and them was always jovial but supportive. When you asked the two of them to help with some pointers in the ring, they were more than happy to help. You of course were friends with Rene as well. She always asked you if you would go and propose a storyline to Tony and guys. "What about Kenny?" she asked

"What about him?" you felt yourself get a little flustered and afraid that she knew about you and him. "I bet you, he would listen and get you a new story line, better than just a run in or a mixed tag with Jon." "Maybe, but I don't want to ask him for anything like that. Just feels weird." "Why? He's literally always saying to feel comfortable to come to him or the Bucks about that kind of thing. That's kinda his job, here come with me."

She grabbed you by the wrist and took you towards Tony's office, knowing they were about to get done with a preshow meeting. "Kenny! Hey, y/n here won't ask, so I am going to do it. She's been busting her ass and getting more and more over with the fans. I think she needs a full storyline, put her with Jon or something."

Kenny has a smirk on his face, looking down at you and before he could speak Tony comes from behind him. "Well, perfect! We just were talking about new lines, and we wanted to put you with the Elite, but we can do BCC. Hell, we can even do a build up. Fans are already pushing for you to get with Kenny or Yuta, so thats perfect."

You and Kenny both look at him, "What??" Your face is red, and Kenny starts to say thats not what they talked about. "I know, I know, but look we put you with the BCC, play up the part that you and Jon and Claudio have known each other forever. Then you and Yuta get together later on. Gives it like a badass couple thing."

Kenny looks at you, and back at Tony, "So what do you think? I know that's kinda loose, but i like it better than my original idea. I was just going to have you be with the Elite, but I like this better."

"I love it, thank you!" You say excitedly and Looking over to Kenny, "You're okay with being in a romance line with Yuta??" he asks. "I mean. yeah. I dont really have a problem with that.' "Oh really?"

Renee and Tony look on awkwardly, you don't even understand that Kenny's a little hurt by the way you saw no problem with the story line. You look at him confused and he holds back the urge to say something. But he swallows his pride and glances at Tony, "Cool, thats fine with me too. Just don't fall for Yuta." Another awkward silence falls upon the room.

"Heh, okay... Will do my best" you awkwardly laugh off. Kenny looks at his phone and quickly makes an excuse to leave. You start to walk away with Renee, "Well that was weird, but Yay!! You've got some screen time now. And I'll make sure that Jon doesn't take the spotlight, you know he loves to talk." she laughs. "Yeah it will be fun, I just need to get with Wheeler and see how we want to play this out."

"And Kenny," Renee interjects

"What? you reply

"You need to meet with Kenny too, to see how they want to do the whole cat and mouse thing. Tony said they're planning the whole love triangle thing out right? So you need to meet with Ken too." "Oh Yeah, thats true"

"soo... are we just not going to address how Kenny seemed upset that you chose a story line with Wheeler over him?" blushing you say "oh please he's not hurt. He has a big enough ego to keep him safe from falling off a mountain." you laugh

Kenny quickly left and git his things to meet you at the hotel. You had separate rooms but they were adjoining this time. It made things easier, though apparently it didn't make it more secretive. Kenny checked into his room, and looked in the mirror to make sure he looked okay. He had stopped by drug store on the way to the hotel to buy you flowers, they were beat up but he thought they were still nice. As he was getting up the nerve to knock at your door he could hear the muffled sound of you crying.

You were on the phone, explaining to the other line that you were stupid to think that there was even a chance. He could hear the words, 'I hate. I even let myself get this close to him.' The sentence crushed him, he never wanted to make you feel this way. He never honestly thought that you wanted any more either. In the moment, he wanted to walk away, but his hand continued to knock on the door. He immediately regretted the action as he heard ypu abruptly end the call.

"Ken?" He heard you timidly say towards the door. He stood silent. "Kenny? ... Tyson?" He could hear your steps towards the door and befor he could back away you were face to face. "Uh, hi" He said. You stood silent.

Roark:

Crasher Wake:

- wake did wrestling shows that were in the style of a drama (think, WWE) and would come up with the most outrageous storylines.

- was the kid that beat up bullies at his trainer’s school bc “two against one isn’t fair” and, “pick on someone your own size.”

- frequently challenges byron and fantina to a drinking contest after gym hours, and he almost always loses. but when he wins, he’ll throw his hands up, and then promptly pass out.

Fantina:

- when she was ten, she marched up to her parents and told her that she wanted to be called “fantina” from now on. her parents welcomed their daughter with open arms.

- is Kalosian, which according to the sinnoh league members would explain why she can hold her liquor so well. she usually comes out on top in those drinking contests between wake and byron.

- is the most widely known coordinator around the world. you could go to an island with no electricity and the children and elders knew the name “fantina dumont.” if you were fortunate enough to go to one of her shows, you would see paramedics on standby because when she sent out her Drifblim a few people would pass out in awe, not fright.

Byron:

- before he married his wife: byron shot his friend in the ass with a BB gun by accident, went to hoenn with his buddies and they got kicked out from every single bar by staging fights so they wouldn’t have to pay for drinks, and swam from johto to kanto after he and his friends flipped a police car and were being chased. he drops random stories like this at league meetings and everyone stares in bewilderment – including his own son because what the hell dad wdym you dropped acid with the champion of Unova once???

- occasionally stars as a guest in one of wake’s wrestling shows. they play lovers having a quarrel before wake tackles the shit out of him.

- during canalave’s yearly pride parade he is the one giving dad hugs because “even when i was a kid, men have always had men… y’know, i had a buddy once, back in the mines… and he was a little off to the side, but he was damn good with a pickaxe. had a beer with his husband once.”

Candice:

- snowpoint city in the sinnoh region is known as the “home of the yodelers.” on top of being the gym leader, candice is the best damn yodeler that snowpoint has ever seen.

- she also had a reputation as a little girl for throwing snowballs at visitors from another region before declaring sinnoh was the best.

- if you want gossip, candice will spill all the details. she knows everything about everyone. no one is more up to speed about who’s-sleeping-with-who, who-cheated-on-who, and how Stacy Cambridge from her trainer school definitely got a nose job and yes, it’s definitely noticeable. no one really asks for her gossip, but she blabs it at the league meetings anyway.

Volkner:

- smokes a pack of cigarettes a day. one time to be cheeky at a league meeting he lights one up, therefore cynthia threw him out – which was what he wanted so thank you cynthia.

- has been on so many fucking antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds throughout his life that he’s basically an expert on them. a lot of the younger gym leaders and elites (i.e gardenia, aaron, candice, roark, and maylene) are depressed and/or anxious and lets them know his own experiences with meds.

- when he was a kid, though he wasn’t a sunyshore hoodlum, he did learn how to use a pocket knife. not that he ever needed it since he had a pikachu to thunderbolt the motherfuckers if he wanted to.

Did the match at Summerslam last year make sense for you? With the whole tribal combat, no interference, Jimmy interfering and costing Jey. I love the Bloodline, but it feels like things went down from there, way before WM.

Plans for WM are made in advance, not the month before. Those who have followed the storyline for years, those who have listened, know what happened. The plan was Jey, no one else and that's why they focused so much on him.

Sadly over the years Jey was always the least popular one in the family, people didn't pay attention to him but he had potential and years of building his character proved it. To the fans, not to the WWE. So when the time came they didn't pull the trigger, he wasn't right for them, they had an alternative that was more up to their standards and didn't matter if it didn't make sense in the original storyline.

So there was the first change and the story had its first moment of confusion in YEARS. They moved forward, they found another meaning, another path that made sense for the Bloodline, but Jey had to be taken out of the way and devalued in the meantime, which is why they put him on Raw and instead of being "mainevent" Jey Uso, the most dangerous opponent in terms of storyline for Roman, he was slowly molded to return as one of the talents, popular but not good enough for a title, with the only exception of the tag team title and paired with who had to have more numbers asap to compete with Roman after a mid career. In the meantime the WWE's chosen one sucked up popularity here and there in anticipation of the shitty ending we got, with Jey, with Sami, everyone. There was nothing confusing before, it was the WWE and their idea of programming top guys with no real stories that ruined years of work.

Because Roman had been in that position and he knew that something works if you work at it, not if you force your hand.

It's stupid to blame or be angry with Dominik or Rhea (or any wrestler in any storyline for that matter) for any booking/creative decisions because it isn't their fucking job. I'm tired of hearing about how Rhea's booked too strong or how Dom is being lazy/not putting in effort/doing a bad job or whatever the fuck.

Yes, they could probably do more to improve the quality of a story but if it sucks, then it sucks, it shouldn't be on the talent to make up for shitty booking/storytelling because it. Isn't. Their. Job.

I don't understand why Dom is catching all this heat by some of the fans over what was said at the auction when Liv was sat next to him saying the same thing and implied something similar right after SummerSlam so if anything this is her interpretation that he was piggybacking off of. A lot of y'all would be better off if you considered everything off TV (interviews and social media) not canon unless it's actually stated/shown/mentioned on screen. All of them have said or behaved in ways that aren't reflected on WWE TV.

My only issue with it is that it shows how WWE creative hasn't laid a clear, coherent story out for them. I get that Rhea's injury derailed the original plans but they really couldn't come up with a clear timetable of events, motivations, and characterization from April to now which is October? Like, all the blame goes to creative even if you think the wrestlers involved can do a better job.

The Color Red In A World Full Of Black & White: Remembering Bray Wyatt

One year ago today , the wrestling business paused once again to remember one of their own. The day after the death of Terry Funk , came the death of Bray Wyatt. This article is going to celebrate the life and career of Bray Wyatt and how he has impacted professional wrestling.

Windham Lawrence Rotunda was born to Stephanie and Mike Rotunda on May 23,1987 in Brooksville, Florida. He was the oldest of the three children , a younger brother , Taylor , and a younger sister , Mika. He was an amateur wrestler in high school and won the state championship in 2005, the year he graduated. He also played football as a defensive tackle and a guard in junior college. He earned a football scholarship from Troy University and played football there for two years. During his time there , he decided to join the family business and become a professional wrestler.

Windham was a third-generation wrestler. His grandfather was BlackJack Mulligan , his uncles are Kendall and Barry Windham. Therefore , his father is ‘ Mr.IRS ’ Mike Rotunda. He was trained by his uncle Barry before being signed to WWE in 2009 and making his debut in a dark match on an episode of Florida Championship Wrestling ( FCW ) , in February of the same year. FCW is now known as NXT. In June of the same year , he would go on to win the FCW Tag Team Championships alongside his brother , who was known as Bo Rotundo. He would be known as either Alex Rotundo or Duke Rotundo during this time.

In June of 2010, Windham would take the name , Husky Harris , and join the Inaugural season of WWE NXT. He was a Rookie and would be paired with Cody Rhodes as his Pro. Cody is the son of ‘ The American Dream ’ , Dusty Rhodes. He would be eliminated from the competition on the August 17 episode of NXT. He kept the Husky Harris name as continued to work in FCW. In October of the same years, he would join Wade Barrett’s Nexus faction. They would torment the main roster, especially John Cena. He would also be in the group under the rule of CM Punk. Thus, he would be taken off WWE TV and repackaged into the gimmick he would be well known for after being kicked in the head by Randy Orton. He would make his return to FCW in 2011 under the name Axl Mulligan, thus , this character never made it to TV. He would still be known as Husky Harris.

When WWE made the decision to rebrand FCW into what is now known as NXT in 2012 , Windham Rotunda became known as Bray Wyatt. He would make his NXT debut on the July 11, 2012 episode. Originally, he had a wrestler named Eli Cottonwood as his tag team partner. This pairing happened in FCW. After suffering an injury to his pectoral muscle and having surgery to repair it , Wyatt remained on NXT TV, cutting promos and forming a faction , came to be known as The Wyatt Family . The faction consisted of him , Luke Harper , and Erick Rowan. Wyatt returned to the ring in 2013 and defeated Yoshi Tatsu. Therefore , he suffered his first loss in NXT when he was defeated by his brother, Bo Dallas. His second loss was to Chris Jericho. Harper and Rowan would become NXT Tag Team Champions on the May 2 episode of NXT. On May 27,2013 , WWE began airing vignettes of the faction on Monday Night RAW , teasing their debut on the main roster.

On July 8,2013 , Bray along with Luke and Rowan , made their WWE main roster debut on Monday Night RAW. Their first victim would be Kane. Thus, they attacked other wrestlers such as 3MB and R-Truth to send messages to the Kane and telling him to , “ Follow The Buzzards ” . Wyatt was challenged to a Ring of Fire match by Kane at Summerslam the same year. Wyatt won the match with the help of Harper and Rowan. They soon targeted Kofi Kingston , with Wyatt having a match with him at Battleground and winning. Wyatt would go on to have major storylines with John Cena and Daniel Bryan ( Bryan Danielson ) during the later part of 2013 and into 2014. Cena would defeat Wyatt at Wrestlemania 30. This would be his first major loss while being on the main roster . The Wyatt Family would also go on to attack Chris Jericho, who was returning to the WWE from being on tour with his band , Fozzy. This storyline ended in a Steel Cage match on the September 8,2014 episode of RAW. Wyatt won the match by escaping from the cage.

Soon, Bray Wyatt would be involved with another major WWE Superstar after his rivalry with Dean Ambrose. During this rivalry, he would offer to help Ambrose as he did to Harper and Rowan, whom he set free. Their rivalry would end in an Ambulance match , which Wyatt would come out on top. Thus , Wyatt would be calling himself , ‘ The New Face Of Fear ’. At the WWE Fastlane Pay-Per-View , he would appear from a casket and call out The Undertaker, challenging him to a match at Wrestlemania 31. However, he would be defeated by The Phenom. The Wyatt Family would soon make their return as a faction in 2015. Wyatt would soon introduce a new member of the family the same year , Braun Strowman. Wyatt and Harper would soon find themselves in a match against the Brothers of Destruction at Survivor Series of the same year.

Wyatt would have a rivalry with Randy Orton in 2016. They would have two matches , one at Backlash and one at No Mercy. Thus, Randy joined The Wyatt Family after helping Wyatt in his match against Kane. Wyatt and Orton would be the only surviving team members for Team Smackdown at Survivor Series. This would occur after Orton saved Wyatt from taking a spear from Roman Reigns. They would go on to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. In 2017 , Randy turned his back on Wyatt and went after the WWE Championship. He would be shown destroying the Wyatt Family compound and Sister Abigail’s grave. At Wrestlemania 33, Wyatt would lose the WWE Championship to Orton. He would go on to form a tag team with Matt Hardy. They were known as The Deleter of Worlds.

In 2019, Wyatt would be repackaged as a Mr.Rogers type character. Fans would start seeing vignettes on WWE programming consisting of different toys such as a puppet of a buzzard and a doll that looked like a witch. Bray would appear in the vignettes of a what looked like a children’s show. This would be called ‘ The Firefly Funhouse ’ . Wyatt would also have a new look as well. He would have a shorter beard and a leaner body. During the segments , he would also use a puppet of Vince McMahon. He would also debut a new gimmick , The Fiend. Nevertheless, he would gain a manager in this role. His manager and co-host of Firefly Fun House would be Alexa Bliss. The two would be drafted to RAW in 2020 after being on Smackdown in 2019. In 2021 , Bliss would turn on The Fiend and say that she didn’t need him . Wyatt would be released in July of 2021.

In September of 2022, an acapella the song , ‘ White Rabbit ’ by Jefferson Airplane would be played at WWE Live Events and TV programming. QR codes would also be shown on both RAW and Smackdown. Everything involved during the eerie segments would lead to teasing the return of Bray Wyatt. At Extreme Rules , Wyatt would make his return to the company . At the end of the PLE, the lights on the arena would dim and a door would be seen. Wyatt would soon enter the arena from the door with a lantern and real life versions of his Fire Fly Funhouse characters. He would reveal himself as the White Rabbit. A new masked character , Uncle Howdy , would be debuted during his return as well. The light in the door that he came out of would be a tribute to fallen Wyatt Family member , Luke Harper ( Brodie Lee ) , who would pass away in 2020.

Bray Wyatt‘s last main roster storylines would be with LA Knight and Bobby Lashley. Wyatt and Knight would have a Pitch Black match at the 2023 Royal Rumble , with Wyatt being victorious. He would start a feud with Bobby Lashley going to Wrestlemania 39 , however , it was scrapped due to Wyatt being out of action with an illness. He was set to return to the ring on August 19th, 2023. Thus, his return would never happen.

Bray Wyatt tragically passed at the age of 36 on August 24, 2023 from a heart attack due to the COVID-19 virus. He left behind a fiancé , JoJo, and four children. He left behind a family who loved him as well as his fans and colleagues. WWE COO , Paul ‘ Triple H ’ Levesque , would announce his death on the social media platform , X ( Twitter), after getting a phone call from Mike Rotunda informing him of his son’s death. On the August 25, 2023 episode of Friday Night Smackdown , WWE would pay tribute to him alongside Terry Funk. The rocking chair Wyatt used would be placed in the middle of the ramp as the WWE Universe would use their cell phone flashlights as fireflies and sing , ‘ He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands’ . The show would end with LA Knight and Finn Balór main eventing . Knight being his last opponent and Balór being his first opponent under The Fiend gimmick. Wyatt would be signed to a WWE Legends contract and any merchandise sales would go to his children. In a video on YouTube , wrestlers such as Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Adam Pearce , Bayley , etc would pay tribute to their friend and say how he has impacted them. Other promotions such as AEW and TNA would pay tribute to Wyatt. In April of 2024 , a documentary about Wyatt would be released. On April 5, Wyatt’s father and uncle would be inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame as the tag team , the US Express . They would be inducted with Bray’s ‘ fireflies ’ and his entrance music. Jey Uso would also use the fireflies as his tribute to Wyatt in his entrance . In June of 2024 , as a tribute to his brother , Taylor revived the Uncle Howdy character and formed the Wyatt Sicks alongside Erick Rowan , Dexter Lumis , Nikki Cross , and Joe Gacy. Uncle Howdy will be making his in ring debut on the August 26 episode of Monday Night Raw against Chad Gable.

My Final Thoughts:

Bray Wyatt is a once in a lifetime wrestler. Yes , I’ll admit that he did scare me when I first saw him , however, I became a fan. He made it worth watching . From his in ring work to the Firefly Fun House , he was one of the most creative people I’ve ever seen. Windham , I just wanted to say thank you on behalf everyone who loves you . You would be so proud of Taylor and what he has accomplished with The Wyatt Sicks. I know you will be in the arena with him Monday. We love you and we miss you ! Sending love to the Rotunda family today! I wanted to pay tribute to Windham in my own way, by writing this article.

Which 5 fics you've written are your favorites or most proud of?

Ooh! Thank you Anon for slipping into my askbox with a lovely little question. Must admit, this was hard! I'm proud of most of my fics so whittling it down to just five was tricky but here goes;

1. Flint and Steel - I feel like this is the best writing I've ever done. I wrote it back when I had bags of time to edit and re-read what I'd written previously so it's a better coherent story. I love the world-building, the imagery, the harsh but beautiful love story. This is probably still my best work to date and I really hope to finish the series one day and do it justice!

2. Would You Offer Your Throat To The Wolf - This one just feels... special to me. It's the most brutal, graphic and depressing fic that I've written and my first foray into pure horror but was very liberating to write. It also felt like something of an event at the time - I'd been building up towards it here on Tumblr so when I finally posted it, it kinda had its own little following. It's also a fic that has prompted so many incredible comments and feedback from readers, many of which said it inspired their own writing and that is just so cool to me!

3. When We're Alone - Of all my fics, this is probably my own little personal favourite (and one of my least popular 😂). It's a silly, little Underpunk fluff piece set in the Valetverse AU. I just loved writing a hopelessly un-domesticated Punk trying (and failing miserably) to nurse Taker back to health while he was injured. I usually write Punk as very intense and moody so having him in more of a comedy role was a lot of fun (although he's still very moody!)

4. The Moon Rises Red Tonight - My other unloved little baby! It's a close second for my personal favourite fic. It's utter self-indulgence - I wanted all four of my faves to fuck! That's it! That's the premise! But, because it's me, and I'm god-awful at writing smut, it somehow turned into a porn with plot fic, focusing in on politics, corruption, and trauma, whilst also being rather light-hearted and wholesome. And filthy too! It's a weird bag! I adore the au, I adore all the flawed characters and their self-discovery throughout and I want to draw and write more for it in the future.

5. The Chain - Sometimes, a moment sticks in your head and magic happens. That Smackdown where Drew carried a bloody Punk to the ramp and dumped his carcass for all of his hometown to see was....... [local dogs start barking]. I had to write something for it! Originally it was going to be another headcanon essay talking about a motif I'd used in several fics of Punk and AJ being connected by a chain with hooks embedded in their chests when it dawned on my to actually write a fic about it, resulting in this twisted soulmate au. To me, it's a perfect little fic, a beautiful gemstone in my collection and I'm very proud of it.

[Honourary Mention - Yes, I'm cheating here but I couldn't not mention my most popular fic The Valets of WWE. Despite it easily being my worst in terms of writing prowess, it's a huge personal achievement for me. It had a massive cast and was heavily influenced by reader requests and input so I had to think on my feet for every chapter and change things up on the fly sometimes. I also had to write for characters I didn't know very well during an era that I admittedly didn't really watch (no, I'd never seen any Legacy or Social Outcasts footage until writing this fic!!!) so that was a bit nerve-wracking. But despite the challenges, I managed to create this huge, intricate soap opera, that had so many interlinking storylines and plot threads, that had characters bouncing off each other constantly and even if it reads more like a script than narrative, I'm still very proud of it and I always look forward to returning to the valetverse for more!]

“Don’t leave.”

Dean lets out a weary sigh. They’ve been over this so many times in the past couple of months, but Roman just can’t let it go - can’t let him go - he corrects himself.

“Ro-” he pleads.

“I know we can work something out! I can talk to Vince! They’ll write better storylines for you, give you better opponents, you could be champ again! A bigger contract! Just… stay. Please?” Honest desperation colors his voice and Dean can’t fucking take it anymore.

“Fuck Ro! I wouldn’t be fucking happy though and you know it! I don’t fucking care about the stupid titles and the bullshit storylines or the sellout payday! I just wanna fucking wrestle and not hate it! This fucking bullshit’s been killing me for years!”

Roman’s eyes widen, clearly taken aback. But then realization, quickly followed by regret, cross his face. “Fuck, I’m doing it again, aren’t I?”

“Yeah.” Relief floods through Dean. He doesn’t know how many more times he can handle looking at Roman - all gorgeous and teary-eyed and begging him to stay - and have his answer still be a resounding no. He doesn’t wanna put his resolve to the test.

“Fuck.” Big hands wipe tracks of tears away, but no matter how hard Roman tries, they just keep coming. 

And yeah, he can’t do this. He has to do something. 

Think Dean, think!

Wait, fuck?

Roman said FUCK!

“Pretty sure we just did.” It’s not his most original comeback, but it pulls a beautiful snort from the man across from him. Ah yes, the sweet relief of deflection. He’s always been the king of that. 

They lie there in silence, the minutes keep ticking by, getting closer and closer to their last goodbye, his flight to Las Vegas leaving one final time. 

And if he thought leaving WWE behind was the toughest decision of his life, it’d been nothing compared to what he’s feeling now. Leaving his shitty workplace and even shittier boss behind and making his final rounds earlier tonight (Or was it last night? He honestly lost track of time with all the saying goodbye he and Roman have been busy with.) had been a piece of cake compared to this.

And if this were a love story about two people, loving Roman would be enough. Enough to keep him happy with the crappy boss and the crappy workplace and the plethora of crappy storylines. Enough to make him stay.

But this isn’t a love story about two people. He isn’t quite sure what kind of story it is yet. Maybe it’s a story about redemption. Or finding himself or some bullshit like that. Maybe it’s a story about a guy saving his own life. Or maybe - just maybe - it is a love story. Just not one about two people. Maybe it’s a story about him and his one true love - wrestling. 

He won’t find out until he leaves though. 

So when the time comes, he silences his alarm before it can ring and gets dressed.

He allows himself one last longing look at Roman, who’s still fitfully asleep, wishing he could stay.

And then he leaves.

The Tale Of The Bloodline | TWICE MiSaMo (Mina, Sana & Momo) x Male Reader- CHAPTER 1: “Help Wanted”

Enjoy the pilot chapter of this roller coaster ride of a story based from the current critically acclaimed storyline in wrestling industry between a wrestling faction The Bloodline consisting of wrestlers Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey), Solo Sikoa along with their manager Paul Heyman and wrestler Sami Zayn, both from WWE.

Authors note: Unlike the original source that was only full of family and brotherhood drama, this one has romance included that is centered on one of the trio and you as the male reader.

After a match that is part of the current card for tonight's show has just finished, the cameras switched next to the backstage; where a black limousine just appeared and parked in an empty available lot.

The door opened, revealing a man wearing a full business tuxedo attire first while carrying two huge gold championship belts in his shoulders as he hopped out of the expensive car.

His name is Park Jinyoung, the wiseman and special adviser of the group whose about to emerge next.

Out of the car after follows four other passengers that made the crowd inside the arena resonate in a mix of loud boos and cheers.

They closed the door and aligned themselves with Jinyoung. A smirk crept up on the manager as the owner of the prize he's carrying on his arms has made his presence beside him.

Standing on the left side was The Myouis, twin siblings Mina and YN who are carrying also two belts respectively, one is a black strapped with bronze plate and one is a red strapped with yellow plate.

They are the current Tag Team Champions, reigning for 279 days and they are intergender, which means they are a team composed of a male and a female and it is completely legal in their company for opposite genders to fight in the battleground.

Loyalists of gender equality indeed.

And last but not least or should be either called it rather, saving the last for the best; standing on the right side of Special Adviser Jinyoung was the cousins of the Myouis, the reigning, defending and undisputed Japan Fightful Federation's World Champion himself whose reign is now about to reach 600+ days being undefeated.

Nakamoto Yuta, the crowned Highness Of The Land in their hometown Kobe, Japan, as well as being the proclaimed Empire Chief of their royal fighter clan.

Until now, their bloodline is standing tall at the highest throne in their sacred Judgment Dome, and Underground Fight Club-like place where people sign up and fight through matches in the Fight Pit with some helps to determine who will be the defending champion's challenger and the high ranking champion will only get to fight at a special event.

Since none has ever beaten Yuta for the title yet, that means Yuta still remains as the supreme leader of some cities in Japan where Yuta defended his titles winningly. That's the additional reward for anyone who will be the Japan's World Champion in that particular field.

"Now we're all seeing the arrival of The Bloodline in backstage, led by the Undisputed Japan's Champion, the Empire Chief himself present in the show. We're gonna witness more of them live next on Knockdown!", the commentator said as the cameras slowly fades off from its presentation of the Bloodline entering the building.

-TIMESKIP-

After the commercials rolled, the show went back on air as the entrance theme for The Myouis played in the titantron and through the speakers of the arena with Myoui YN appearing first before her twin sister Mina trailed behind.

The bell rang thrice before the announcer shouted.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall, introducing first; accompanied by Myoui Mina: one half of the Undisputed Japan Fightful Federation Tag Team Champions, Myoui YN!!!"

The crowd then created another echoes of boos and cheers for the arrival of the Tag Team Champions and pieces of The Bloodline themselves.

"You got this, brother!", Mina patted YN's shoulder and they both nodded at one another before YN climbed up in the ring with a smile, raising his index finger to the sky as it represents their team's catchphrase "We The Ones".

YN prepares himself, hopping and running back and forth as he stares at the entranceway, waiting for his opponent to arrive.

Few moments later, the entrance theme of the next fighter was played after.

"And his opponent, from Seoul, South Korea weighing in at 103 pounds; Jang Wonnnnyoung!"

Wonyoung walked down in the ramp as she greeted some of the crowd sitting in the front row cheering for her, returning their waves of high five offers with a lovable smile.

She entered in the ring, a piercing stare from YN received but was unintimidated by it; knowing that despite being a champion she knows that she still has a chance to face and defeat him.

The two stood at each corners before the referee rang the bell, signalling for them to begun fighting.

-12 MINUTES LATER-

"YN charging down through Wonyoung- OH! Wonyoung side stepped!", the announcer called the match while monitoring the fight in the ring focusedly.

At the same time in the backstage, the camera cuts at Yuta along with Jinyoung standing behind his back; also watching the match in a large LED screen at their locker room.

Back to the match, Wonyoung did avoided YN's incoming charge attack, making the tag champ crash at the turnbuckle.

He rotated around, only to meet a spinning kick from Wonyoung in the head; successfully had YN dizzy and fall into fours.

Wonyoung immediately went through the congruent corner, hyping up the crowd more as the impending doom for YN is about to be delivered courtesy of her.

"And now, Wonyoung from the other side; looking to capitalize YN with a knee strike- OH WAIT A MINUTE!"

Just as Wonyoung is now all prepared to charge straight at YN, everybody in the arena saw Mina climbed up in the border of the ring which caught the referee's attention

"MYOUI MINA WITH THE INTERFERENCE! DISTRACTING BOTH THE REFEREE AND WONYOUNG TO PROTECT HER TWIN BROTHER YN!

The referee approached her and asked her to leave the ring. It made the irritated Wonyoung try to attack Mina but Mina avoided by jumping out.

As she was about to return her focus back, Wonyoung ate a crunchy super kick right through her face by YN which urged the crowd to boo harder at him at Mina, but was unaffected and instead supporting her brother more to finish the match already. Just doing how bad guys usually do.

"WONYOUNG WITH A SURPRISE SUPERKICK FROM YN, AND NOW... YN UP TOP; GOING ONE AND DONE WITH A SPLASH! COVER!"

YN hastily climbed up to the top turnbuckle and performs a frog splash on Wonyoung, lifting up her leg as the referee began counting.

"1...2...3"

The bell rang.

"YN wins for the Bloodline due to the unfair assist from Mina.", said by the announcer disappointingly.

"Here is your winner, Myoui YN!", the referee reaches for YN's arm, distancing him from the unconscious and defeated Wonyoung laying in the ring.

YN's arm was raised in victory and Mina entered the ring with the Tag Titles in her hand, giving the other one to her brother and congratulated him for his win.

"Thanks sis."

"Always have my back for you, bro.", Mina smiled and hugged his exhausted twin before they mocked the crowd for their favorite's lose as they made their way out on the ramp.

-15 MINUTES LATER-

The large screens above the ring and the entranceway as well as everyone's watching that were not present live in the show is seeing The Bloodline together in their locker room.

The freshly fought YN is resting in the couch along with his cousin Yuta on the center and Mina on the other side, with Jinyoung in his single chair all both sitting comfortably.

They were discussing about how it made YN's win delightful and some random family topic when a knock on the door made them all alerted.

"Check who's outside.", Yuta commanded Jinyoung.

"Yes, my Empire Chief."

Jinyoung stood up from his seat and quickly opened the door slightly, peeking at the gap on who could that person be.

What he saw knitted his eyebrows in complete confusion at its unexpected appearance.

He kept it as he left the door slightly opened and the person behind it, walking back and bent his body to set his face closer to the ears of the Empire Chief who sensed the incoming update coming from him.

"My Empire Chief, there's a... guest who wants to see you.", Jinyoung said with a puzzled tone.

"A guest?"

Jinyoung nodded.

"Who?", Yuta asked cluelessly.

Jinyoung clapped his hands twice, his own way to gesture the mysterious person to come inside.

Opening the door widely, it revealed its identity who is a gorgeously, well-built woman wearing her fighter attire; causing Yuta, Mina and YN to join Jinyoung crumpled their foreheads even more in utter confusion at how unfamiliar this girl is.

"You may now introduce yourself.", Jinyoung instructed.

"Hi!!! You all must be the rulers of this kingdom around here! Great to see all of you!", the woman enthusiastically greets the bewildered Bloodline while jumping in glee. It made their heads flinch a bit when she added a loud clap at the end.

"And you, sir Yuta; first and foremost I just wanted to say that... I acknowledge you.", the woman pointed her finger directly at Yuta who guaranteedly hooked his interest at her after she said that one thing he always wants to hear from people who has to get to see him on the show; raising his one eyebrow at her.

"I haven't said my name yet, do I? Well, my name is Minatozaki Sana, just a newcomer here and I'm a huge fan of every one of you, especially you; Empire Chief!"

The rest just watched the fighter present herself in front of them without shame and pure energetically as if she's literally speaking to somebody she has already met and known personally before.

Earlier, I happened to eavesdrop LE SSERAFFIM and Kim Jennie there being goodies at each other and- hold on I heard you two will have a title match against them, if I'm not mistaken right?", Sana travelled her fingers back and forth at Mina and YN who didn't responded vocally but deep inside they knew that what Sana said is true.

They do have a scheduled match against Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chaewon also known as the duo LE SSERRAFIM for the Tag Team Championships at the upcoming special pay-per-view event next week after the crowd favorite duo challenged them from the previous show and accepted it.

"So yeah, and now they're all going to be on my lumberjack match tonight which is... HAHAHAHA it's really unbelievable.", Sana laughed crazily at the ridiculous thought.

"Look, I don't mean to snitch, I'm not a rat but... I happen to hear them say very disrespectful things about your family, Yuta."

Mina and YN looked at her while Yuta intensely stared, his eyebrows never spread apart as he stroked his chin; stressfully waiting for what's about to follow for him to know.

"That, I guess... brings me to my proposal."

Sana kneeled in front of Yuta.

"As of late, my reputation as of late with how the people welcomes me here has me taking hit after hit and now it keeps getting worse because they think that I shouldn't fight Kim Jennie tonight because I should be rather scared WHICH I'M NOT!", Sana's tone gets louder and more maniacally at how irritating it makes her think and feel regarding that.

"What I need more than anything is to beat Kim Jennie to gain the respect and credibility that I deserve and owe to prove to everyone that even as a newbie I won't let anyone belittle me just like that!", Sana expressed her frustration in her rant, aggressively pointing at herself.

"I have to beat Kim Jennie. So I guess what I'm getting at is that maybe  there's was some way.... that I could get some help with that."

Yuta, YN and Jinyoung knitted their brows once again, but this time... it got more narrow and deeper at how eager they are at this Sana girl's proposition.

"I would be more happy to help out in return."

Sana shrinked her distance of herself to Yuta who didn't looked at her, sliding her knees at once inches away to him; formed her hands as if she's praying or begging.

"Trust me when I tell you this, I could be a very valuable ally here. I acknowledge you... and I want you to recognize me because... as I said, I acknowledge you.", Sana repeated that golden praise over and over again as part of her pleading. Yuta nodded slowly, showing a sign that he's liking what she's doing.

Sana sprung her body back up in posture, which effectively flinched again the Bloodline in surprise again.

"OKAY! GOOD TALK, I SAID THE THING AND I... have to go now. Bye!", Sana nervously smiled in the end before exiting the room; leaving the Bloodline processing everything what Sana just told to them.

YN pushed his head near beside Yuta who remains unmovable and speechless; hands clenched at one another as he stares at the wall sharply.

"So we got people... in my show... talking harsh about me and our family.", Yuta gritted his teeth, lips quivering in growing anger as he tilted his head to YN's direction.

He included Mina at the width of his sight, turning his head at his younger cousin with his same demeanor.

"Take my name... out of their filthy mouths."

YN and Mina looked at each other as they realized they were just informed a new mission to accomplish by their infuriated Empire Chief while Jinyoung decided not to join and maintain his silence at the situation.
