Sharing since I’ve heard the anons are at it again. I’ve done this for several anons and it has not blocked me from getting anon asks from other users - only the specific user causing the issue. Hope that helps!

Hey guys, so recently in our inbox, we got a submission about anon hate and tracking IP addresses of anon asks. Sadly, I’ve been doing some research and with the new tumblr asks, I cannot find any way to track the IP address but you can block the IP address from sending any more anon messages to your inbox. So if you are getting anon hate or say someone is taking advantage of your triggers, this is how you block an anon’s IP address, it’s simple and actually a tumblr feature:

1. Go to the message in the inbox and press the three grey dots in the corner of the message.

2. Press the block button

3. Click the blue ‘Block’ and this will block and anonymous messages from that IP address from getting sent to your inbox. You can still get sent messages from the actual account but not anonymous.

Voila! You have now blocked that IP address from sending you anon messages. It’s not a perfect fix but it’s something.

it works until they use a new vpn (which changes their IP) but you can report/block them again and again ofc, do not let them get to you anyway have the same amount of fun in blocking them as they have in sending you stuff, chances are they'll get bored first and stop

Using this anon hate I got as a teaching example

So if you get anon hate like this, there is a few things you can do. (Also once again the person linked is totally innocent, anon is just using a link to them for some reason, do not bother them)

First of all, Tumblr made it so only people who have accounts and are logged in can send anons AT ALL. So if you want to you can click the three little dots in the upper right corner and report them

Anyways once you're there, select the type of harassment you're getting, after consulting a few people on discord I decided it was the second to last one.

Then of course you fill out the little form

Afterwards you can hit "Submit and Block"

Fun fact: when you block an anon you permanently (there is no way to reverse it) block their IP address and they can't send you any more anons, also as a bonus, if you've received a LOT of anon hate and then you block one of them, reload your inbox to see how many it got rid of, because it might have just been one loser spamming you. If you don't feel like reporting them then that's fine too, just block those suckers.

And finally, you can take solace in the fact that you could never be as big of a loser as the anons sending people hate.

I'm done being polite and patient with people who want to theorize about secret evil hidden messages in my work. If you're going to question what my values are because you saw scary Hebrew letters or are suspicious because a Jew is expressing frustration/anger in their art you don't need to be around me. I share the meaning and my thoughts in my directly Jewish work to not have my art twisted by others- but even with in-depth explanations of my thoughts some people just can't help themselves. I know some of you genuinely don't mean ill but I shouldn't have to talk about my experience being assaulted a few months ago in order to make angry artwork about it or be kind to make someone realize they're being foul to me. Thank you to those who've been kind and supportive of my art while I've been struggling immensely lately.
