I feel so productive today. I've wanted to read this particular article ages ago and I've postponed reading it long enough. It's about the association between the SLC6A4 gene (also known as the serotonin transporter gene) and schizophrenia.

The last couple of weeks I've been unable to study due to some issues but when I resolved them I didn't find the energy to study. And thus, this blog is made. I made this blog with the intent of sharing with you my journey as a genetics student. And I'm sticking to my words—it helps me get motivated to get things done.

Here are some notes from this past week on drug interactions! 💊 The header was done using a fabricolor brush pen! Overall, I think they are nice pens and I would use most of them again. Just so this post isn’t too long and wordy, here is a pros and cons list! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pros: -colors are very vibrant and pigmented (as you can see from the header on my notes!) -smooth lettering -they create a slight gradient on their own when you letter with them (similar to some other more pricey brush pens!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cons: -the colors shown on the outside of the pen do not really match the actual color of the ink 😅 (most of the colors are darker and not pastel as it may seem from looking at them!) -there was some variability in the brush tips (some were more firm or more flexible and some seemed to have that frayed effect that you normally get after using a brush pen for a while) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What I used: kokuyo campus b5 loose leaf paper, fabricolor brush pens, muji 0.38 mm gel pen, micron 08 ink pen https://www.instagram.com/p/BntegoiBfJl/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1f3polzeng14n
