Okay, so! @ratnix inspired this convo, and I had to make a post about it!!

I am genuinely so interested in the idea of "your spectre growing more powerful" as the Deans put it. Whether it's the mind or the spectre, it's still such a cool concept. Your abilities don't upgrade, you just get better at wearing the costume. (eg. Will holding a façade of Duke and Prospero's rats attacking people and the strength of his paralysis.)

The idea behind Eulalie being able to dispell at one point MANY malevolent beings is so inspiring to me, and makes me so excited to see more spectres this season.

Malevolent-wise, Annabel and Ada are two that stick out to me. Prospero is already powerful as it is, being a lethal spectre emerged so fast. Ada's spectre is all about fear/inducing fear, and Annabel has her withered peonies. Annabel is stronger in terms of logical thinking and reading characters, but Ada's spectre is the one who can make you see your worst fear, have an ear splitting scream, and Mark of the Grave. (I think this is a play on words with gravemarkers, which are essentially tombstones on a person's grave)

Neutral-wise, I'm curious about Pluto's evil eye, I think this will change my thinking on him. I don't really have an opinion on his spectre yet, but I love the design! Duke could induce hypnosis and maybe turn other people along with him invisible. Will, is a bit of a difficult case because his abilities is all about changing himself. But there's so much stones unturned on him that we just don't KNOW about him!

Additionally, I love the idea of each person have a specific "transformation" almost like. Montresor's is fire, Ada's is shadows, Pluto's is a flicker of smoke, Duke's is water, Annabel's cold wind, Will's, which I imagine when he first transforms, is a contortion and/or him melting and ribbons twist and turn to show his spectre, and so on!

I'm just! I'm so excited to learn more!

just had a convo with my friend abt lenores blood pact of the misfits escaping together vs lenores pinky promise with annabel to escape together and the conclusion was that the pinky promise will hold out because these if these guys were alive like anytime before 1920 there was probably cocaine in their baby bottles and they all probably have a bunch of diseases that hadnt been discovered yet and then they all mixed their blood together… at this point its not even if they survive the escape plan its if they survive the cross contamination

Harrow the Ninth Reaction - Chapter 37

hmm yeah it is suspicious that the Emperor has to be locked away during the attacks. he gives an explanation, but we really only have his word for it

the Lyctors seem perfectly (and very convieniently) made to be able to enter the River while still defending themselves, which makes me wonder if that was the original purpose of creating Lyctorhood, and the Emperor maybe has some kind of plan revolving around it?

now this guy is quoting fucking Psalms 26 in Latin?? thats different to the quotes from before, the fact that its religious is interesting given this guy is apparently ‘God’ now, but he’s quoting a biblical text. also given Harrow can’t possibly know what he’s quoting 90% of the time, he’s awfully pretentious

idk Abigail got pregnant with like 18 and Dutch was a Realitionship with Annabelle (?) I think and Bill was to be said that he is gay.

other than that they were talking about Abigail sleeping with the gang just to make John mad and provoke him literally.

other than that it's obvious that Abigail slept with men outside of the gang just i doubt anyone of the gang. i have read that members in a gang never shared a woman at all.

So for Dutch it's a bit of a gray area, as it's never said when Annabelle died. Even if she had been alive in 1894 (which I don't believe she was), I wouldn't think Dutch to be the most faithful lover.

I 100% agree that bill is gay. However, the time period wouldn't allow for him to freely live as a gay man. I also think bill isn't someone to be accepting about his homosexuality, so I'd say it's likely he still solicited women.

I do think a lot of what Dutch says is to provoke John. The "we all had her" I see as an exaggeration of the truth. Comments ab Jack not being John's son I see as lies to rile him up. Evidence, both regarding the history of prostitution+contraceptives and implications about John and Abigail's relationship, dismantles that theory imo.

In reality, I think only a few camp members slept with her. The rdr wiki and camp convos confirm she slept with Dutch, Bill, and John.

I'm glad you brought up that most gangs didn't sleep w the women in camp bc while yes that is true, rdr2 isn't 100% historically accurate. For example, Grimshaw trying to force Abigail back into prostitution would never happen. Once a woman was pregnant/gave birth she could not work as a prostitute anymore because she was seen as "used up." There are a lot of historical mistakes R* made in both games.

Again, these are just my opinions/observations and everyone is totally free to disagree<3

Man oh mAn most recent chapter. Too many thoughts. I think I really liked this convo between Pharos and Annabelle so much because I feel like a big part of the Fear of the early seasons of TMA proper was that you could be in the right place, right time, with all the information and it still wouldn’t necessarily be enough to stop whatever horrors befell you. The end of the last season with the attempt at a mystery and making a big show of “am I manipulating you or not” I feel like detracted from the tragedy of it all. This sets it up so well. Laid bare, here’s all the info. It’s gonna hurt, and not just you. Even with all of the information, even knowing the end, Orpheus would still look back. And That is the tragedy and I feel like you NAILED it with that last scene

ahhh, thank you so much for this message? that's exactly what i was going for with the tragedy angle here, i've been setting that up since the beginning because gerry as archivist almost Sounds like "oh, they'll stand a better chance because he knows better right out of the gate!" wrong! very deeply wrong! no one stands a chance as archivist, not really. this Was doomed from the start. i write recovery stories and there Will be an epilogue of course there will but the end of the final chapter is going to be almost pure tragedy because that's what i wanted when i went into tma in the first place that's what i didn't feel like i fully got out of the end of it and like. obviously my story is not better than canon LMFAO but it's still fun to try and scratch the itch a little bit! and i'm really flattered that you got the feeling i was trying to put out there with that last scene in particular, the just. inevitability of this. how fighting it was never really an option. how they have limited options now, but annabelle has deigned to give pharos the tiniest gift of confirmation that his belief that he can save gerry somehow is possible. is it? we'll see. but i like to think they were as honest with each other as they've ever been with anyone.

Yes ,by Annabelle. I believe they are real but i also believe Annabelle is desesperate. And she is leeching on Seb. She nearly 39 , maybe want a family and now ( unfortunatly) she can't wait that much. She found Seb who( by what i saw) goes with the flow,and super anxious. She will not leave him. Fanpage follow,pap walk, fashion show stalking,the recent Dailymail article correction ( committed RS). She doesn't want to fail ! She can't fail!And doesn't give him the time to think ( no that he wants to). The strike fall at the right time for her and she knows it. I’m very much in the realm of this being PR for Annabelle, but I will tell you that if I had to have another perspective, it’d be this one. She strikes me as very needy/manipulative/controlling. DM and Enty outed her for being opportunistic, and for having sought out Sebastian. She needed a man who was emotionally fragile and about to step into a period of prosperity, and she found him. IMO, she’s a sick bitch. And if you ask anyone who is a Pine or Chris Martin fan, they’ll tell you the same. Sebastian’s fans are not the first group of people to heavily dislike her. That should say something.
