I went to my first anime convention this weekend! AnimeUSA 2024 was so much fun! I got to hang out with my friends, take pictures, and got so much cool stuff!

Specific shout out to Chimi-Chu on Instagram for indulging in 5 whole doodle-comissions of Edward Elric because the con didn't have a ton of FMA merch haha

Wouldn’t hurt to try to share this - need help boosting this!

Hello! I’m snicks, lots of people know me in the Puyo Puyo fandom. I did share this to other social medias but me and my friend are hosting a Puyo Puyo meetup at our local con and we love to get the word out there.

It is being held at Anime Pasadena, located at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California on November 2nd (Saturday, Day 1) from 1pm to 2pm.

This meetup is free to the public, no ticket needed. Also, no cosplay is required - it is simply a meetup of fans in the area. Me and several others attending will do giveaways of merchandise (official and fanmade merch) and in-general hang out as we so photoshoots.

I know many cannot attend, but boosting this would greatly help out to make sure people are aware since it was tough to get this meetup accepted. I know not many will come, but it is still awesome we were granted this opportunity and we plan doing this again at Anime Expo.

I finally finished Dungeon Meshi and i love how the new Era of Fantasy in Anime/Manga brought me back to an old passion.

i havent bought a Manga in 15 years and here i am with my Frieren, Dungeon Meshi and Witch Hat Atelier Volumes getting excited to buy a new one, being involved in fandom culture and searching for fanart and cosplays.

i missed it. i missed me.

So when I was much younger and had just figured out I could watch KH2 cutscenes on Youtube I was convinced anime conventions were a thing that was just in Japan (despite my ability to watch Demyx Time on Youtube clearly proving otherwise) so you bet your ass when my little tourist bus passed by on the exact day Anime Boston 2010 was happening and I spotted Kingdom Hearts characters crossing that one nearby sky bridge it absolutely changed my brain chemistry forever and I used up a considerable portion of the memory on the camera capturing photos of this religious experience. It was a complete happenstance, a tangible proof that conventions were real! (And I absolutely resented the inability to split off from the group to go check it out. I was MAD)

I'm pretty sure I lost these photos by now, but Every Single Photo of that moment looked exactly like this

So, guys, something wonderful happened yesterday! I went to Bristol Anime & Gaming Con and I met the absolutely LOVELY Elsie Lovelock who was the singing voice for Charlie in the Hazbin Hotel pilot, and I'm so honoured! She was a real-life Charlie just like Erika Henningsen is: kind, sweet, and infectiously cheerful! I'm so glad to have had such a great chat with her and received a beautiful autograph that I now have on display in my room.

And yes, that person on the left is YOURS TRULY. I look a bit sweaty and uncomfortable because the con was so crowded and I was admittedly VERY nervous! But yes, that is me. *sheepish grin*

What an amazing day!! I also met an AMAZING Alastor cosplayer but am choosing not to upload my photo with them because I don't have their permission. But trust me when I say they were the best cosplayer there.

Found out my bf was cheating on me last week and decided to sit with it to figure out what do because we were together for like four years and I was thinking it’s something we could work through.

But yesterday i accidentally interrupted a zoom call he was in for work (literally walked in, apologized, walked out and closed door) and after he got off it he 1) yelled a shit ton which is pretty unusual for him and 2) told me he hoped all my favorite characters died.

THAT FUCKER KNOWS IM CATCHING UP ON JJK

Anyway he’s my ex now

1) I’m so sorry you so didn’t deserve that at all and it’s always a sucky thing to have happen

2) I was already very proud of your restraint when you decided to sit with it for a while and process because my anger issues could never and that’s so impressive to me

3) The line drawn in the sand here is very funny even if the rest of the situation isn’t because like I’ve left a guy for a lot of reasons and you gave three valid ones here but it was in fact the character one that made me audibly gasp
