jdfhg;seghjr I can't remember the last time I actually kept up with an anime that was airing. I try every season there's something I want to be watching but I always end up falling behind... and don't even get me started on keeping up with giffing stuff lmao it's been years since I've been able to do that. I remember having a lot of fun when I was able to keep up with that stuff but it's a distant dream these days haha thanks for your words of encouragement!! ❤️ I hope the same for you~ ^-^

aaaahhhhh I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra!! their "Christmas/Sarajevo" song is one of my faves~ I also really like "Wizards in Winter"! hmmm I don't know if I have a favorite xmas song, I love too many of them haha I have a whole playlist~ what about you, do you have any favorites? and yeah typically I do get a white Christmas! this year, it started snowing mid-November I think? I really do love snow and watching it fall and stuff but driving in it is a paaaaain. do you get them where you live? and are you a Christmas decorator? my family and I have always been huge into decorating, it's a big part of the season for me!

you have some great faves!! SNK and HQ!! are definitely up there for me too~ I don't know if I could ever actually get into One Piece just because of how long it is hegr;oasergh I know people are always like "take it slow!" and "read a little bit at a time!" but I honestly don't know if I'd be able to commit to it lmao

thank you for going so deep into your love for dabihawks!! I've always thought they made a really dynamic pair but you honestly brought them into a whole new light!! also AMEN about Hawks views being skewed!! I have seen so many bad takes about his character and so many people are so ready and willing to absolve other characters of their sins before trying to accept Hawks all because he killed Twice... like I've always really liked the LoV and thought they're really well-written and fleshed-out characters, but some fans out there who drag Hawks' character through the mud all because of what he did, going so far as to say he "wasn't acting like a hero" despite the fact that he was fighting for his own life against a VILLAIN who has done VERY BAD THINGS, and then go on to glorify Shigaraki?? I love Twice and I love Shigaraki but Hawks deserves so much better and I cannot tell you how much his mischaracterization gets under my skin...

I can't say I've been a HUGE Dabi fan, I mean I've always really liked him and I think he's always been my fave of the League, but I've never spent a whole ton of time delving into his character. but he's really started growing more on me recently! same with Hawks actually, back when he was first introduced I was kinda like "oh yeah he's cool and stuff" but nothing really stood out to me, but over time I just really started appreciating him more and he's definitely one of my faves now! honestly, I'm quite behind on the manga (although I've been keeping up with major story developments via tumblr lmao) but I think Dabi and Hawks are one of the bigger reasons I want to get caught back up... Bakugou has always been a fave of mine and his character development still really stands out to me and I think it's some of the best in the series, and I also really love Midoriya and All Might and honestly the relationship between those three has always hit a real soft spot for me.

I'm trying to get back into BNHA because I do still really enjoy it and I still love the characters, but I did really fall out of keeping up with it. x_x talking about it with you is a lot of fun though!! makes me wanna go catch up right now haha

Sorry for the later reply myself, just moved all weekend so I've been so tired 😩.

Sksjdkdjd omg I feel this in my bones too lol, I wish I had half the strength other editors do with always giffing right when a new episode airs 😭. I've only been able to do that when I try really hard for my favorites lOl and even then I'm a slow editor so I'll be lucky if I finish one set hahaha. But no pressure, as long as you're having fun editing when you are able to, who cares if it's late 😅. Which animes are you trying to watch this season? 👀

Ahhh!! "Christmas Sarajevo" is also my favorite song from them and the other one is very good too. *gonna listen to their songs now* lol. Tbh, I never really put together a Xmas playlist? I'm also a fan of covers of popular songs sometimes ^^ but I usually just pull up an Xmas radio station/pre-made playlist 😅 but I should make one now that I think about it...

Omg I can imagine driving in snow is a pain, or even having to shovel it. I live in a pretty warm place so it's never snowing here unless I head to the mountains sadly haha. 🥲 But that sounds so nice to be able to enjoy a white Christmas! Decorating (and food) is my favorite part of the holiday too!

HAHA the biggest hurdle for starting One Piece, is...literally starting 😂 and that was my problem for the longest time. Once you're in there you don't really think about it being so long, the characters have so much to love and the adventure is SO good, you just hope it never ends lol. It's pretty casual to begin and it's lighthearted so its nice to just wind down with me for lol, watch like a few here and there. Until you hit the point of pure screaming bcus the plot HITS SO HARD and you just have to know what happens next!! But for me that's one of the best parts too-- being able to binge heavily and still know there's more to look forward to. :'D I started like back in June and only have like 300ish episodes left 😭 so tbh I slowed down and took a break bcus I was sad to catch up lol. If you ever just give it a try instead of thinking of it as a long commitment, you might be pleasantly surprised. 😆

But I'm happy you like HQ and SnK too!! I wonder who your favs are there? And omg please same so much, any Hawks dragging I see is a hard nope! That's one of my biggest pet peeves in bnha fandom, seeing people stan the hell out of LoV (and like I like them and Dabi is my fav too), but then to hate Hawks? No way, he's been a victim all his life too...it's not like the HPSC gave him freedom. 😭

Or when people say he has "no character arc" or call him an "abuse apologist" (even tho he was always abused too wtf?) just bcus they see him trying to help endeavor, which lol someday I'm gonna write an essay about how it speaks way more about Hawks character and how he's projecting his own feelings than it does about Endeavor...after all Hawks still thinks HE'S the one in the wrong about turning his back on his abusive parents and he still apologizes about that. 😭 Sorry I'm so passionate about Hawks and when people misunderstand him bcus they don't get that someone who was trained all their life to be a certain way with an abusive traumatic past isn't going to just wake up and change one day? I think they're not even reading the same story.

Anyways! Please if Dabi & Hawks makes you want to catch up again, hell yeah I hope you enjoy and feel free to talk to me more about it lol. This season is also very good and paralled with what's going on in the manga is just perfect. Also ooh!! I used to think Bakugou is too hyped up and I didn't get it, but his character development esp when he finally genuinely apologized to Midoriya, was really satisfying and I like him a lot now!! Can totally see why their relationships are a fav for you! :)

Omg no I did not see that message!!! I was so worried that Oda had a specific deadline to follow in his head for the end of his manga, and now what he said has eased my mind 😭😭😭 we still have to see a looooooots of things, i'm not expecting to see everything in the main story, but if by chance at the very least, at the very end, we can get some data books (to the things we possibly would not have answers) one shots, etc, I'd be fairly satisfied somehow!

Oh I haven't planned something big, I'm just gonna spend Christmas with my family around a big meal, and having a lot of rest during the days I have for holidays!! I've recently started to play at Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (i ADORED xenoblade 2 with my whole heart ❤️ though I haven't played that much to the first xenoblade) and only with 3 chapters completed for now, I can say that I already love that game very much 😭💕 that's almost all I've planned to do for holidays dhsjsksks what about you Santa ? 🎄

At the Disco, my favorite song of theirs is probably Girls/Girls/Boys or Golden Days. FOB, MCR are some good bands. Achilles Heel by J. Maya and Achilles Come Down by Gang of Youths are good. Katsuki Yūri had always loved animals. most of his relatives thought he would grow out if it in his teenage years, but here he was; an animal lover in his twenties.

something else he'd always loved was baking. it was a shared activity that had brought him closer to his mother. the nostalgia from smelling cinnamon in the air, or brushing flour off of his hands took him back to the kitchen of his childhood home in a matter of seconds.

oh, and one more thing he loved was the holiday season. he loved the light hearted spirit that surrounded this time, but he also enjoyed the sense of rush it gave him in a customer service job. that's right, Katsuki Yūri had achieved his dream job. nothing could ever be a more perfect work environment for him than a cat café.

he'd managed to climb the ranks and gain the trust of his superiors. by now he was something of a manager in his little café.

that didn't mean he wouldn't get the normal tasks done himself, though.

he was just sweeping the floors and cleaning the tables during the last open hour, while jazzy Christmas songs played in the background, when he heard the door open.

"welcome! what can I get you?" he said his usual greeting while making his way back to the front.

only as he stood behind the counter he got a good look at the gentleman with a long trench coat and platinum hair. his prim appearance made him look out of place in a more relaxed environment like this one.

"may I have a cappuccino, please?" the customer requested.

"coming right up! would that be all?"

"that's all, thank you."

the platinum haired man gave Yūri a small, polite smile before stepping to the side to wait for his order.

the barista prepared the coffee, but he couldn't erase those light blue eyes from his mind. they looked like a pair of aquamarine gemstones.

Yūri looked at the milk foam sitting at the top of the glass mug, before deciding to draw a heart on this handsome customer's coffee. he took the mug to the cash register and pushed it across the counter carefully.

another small smile formed onto the other man's lips the moment he saw the heart.

"thank you kindly", was all he said after paying for his drink.

Yūri watched him walk across the room to an empty armchair and pull out a small book from the breast pocket of his jacket. the brown eyes were glued to him as he slipped the outside coat off and set it on the armrest carefully.

Yūri could feel his coworker's eyes on himself as he kept admiring the blue plaid vest paired with a simple, white button up.

"Yūri, you're staring", his friend Phichit noted.

"but... just look at him", Yūri sighed out, "he looks so... posh."

he leaned his elbow against the counter and kept his eyes on the stranger whose body language was the most graceful Yūri had ever seen.

Phichit nudged him forward.

"stop drooling and go talk to him!"

Yūri's face flushed and turned around to scold the younger man: "I am not drooling! I just admire people like him."

along with a "sure, sure", he was pushed out of hiding behind the counter and he stood awkwardly in the open. he took a deep breath and started walking towards the customer.

it was only then he noticed one of the cats curled up on the elegant man's lap.

"oh, she seems to really like you."

the light blue eyes looked up at him.

"why do you sound so surprised?" the customer questioned as his head tilted to the side slightly.

"she's usually not one to care about customers. she always takes a while to warm up to the staff too", the black haired one explained.

a chuckle was heard before the stranger spoke up again: "I must be special, then."

the next day Yūri couldn't get the strange customer out of his mind. the way he moved, the way he spoke...

"thank you for the coffee", he'd said, glancing at the nametag on the apron, "Yuuuuri~."

the way he'd dragged out the u in Yūri, made the barista's heart flutter.

"stop daydreaming", the youngest employee, another Yuri, - though everyone called him Yurio - said as he smacked the back of Yūri's head.

"ow", the older of the two mumbled out while rubbing the spot Yurio had hit.

"you're usually not like this. I'd expect this from Phichit, but not you. I thought you were sensible."

"hey!" was heard from the back.

Yūri chuckled.

"well, yes, this is the first time this has happened to me", he admitted.

Phichit chose to stop eavesdropping and join the conversation: "but you had a girlfriend in high school, didn't you?"

Yūri felt guilt flushing through him.

"yes, I did, but I don't think I was ever in love with her."

"because you're gay", Yurio retorted.

Phichit looked at him with his jaw dropped open, as if he just revealed a character death from a show they were watching.

"what? did he seriously not know?"

Yūri could only replay those words in his head. gay? now that someone said it out loud, it made a lot of sense. maybe he was gay. and just maybe, that gorgeous customer he knew nothing about was his gay awakening.

but, it wasn't like Yūri would ever see him again, unless he decided to visit the café again himself.

the next time he saw those aquamarine eyes was on a late night walk back home after closing the coffeeshop.

"Makkachin!" someone yelled, right before a strange force took Yūri down to the ground.

"I am so sorry, he doesn't usually do things like this", the stranger apologized.

Yūri opened his eyes to see the faces of a large poodle and that platinum haired customer from earlier the same week hanging over him.

"I must be special, then", he laughed out as the not-so-unfamiliar stranger helped him back up to his feet.

"yes, I suppose the tables have turned", the taller man said with a gentle smile.

before letting go of Yūri's hand, he breathed out a name: "Victor."

"Victor?"

"my name. I'm Victor."

"oh!" Yūri exclaimed as realization rolled over him, "nice to formally meet you, Victor."

"please, no need to be so polite, my dog did just knock you over."

they both chuckled softly before Victor started speaking again: "have you eaten yet?"

"ah, no, I'm going to eat once I get home."

"could I treat you to some nikuman?" Victor offered, "it's the least I can do."

a certain warm excitement filled Yūri's chest as he nodded with a smile.

"I'd like that."

the pair walked together, with their steaming meat buns in hand. Yūri could feel the awkwardness in the silence hanging between them, and he had to break it.

"so, do you usually use your dog to get closer to people like this?"

bad joke... not funny.

"only when they're adorable", Victor slipped out smoothly.

oh. oh. wasn't that a flirt?

and a good one at that.

Yūri could feel the heat rush to his cheeks as he bit into the bun again, trying to think of how he could possibly respond to that.

"I saw you looking at me, Yuuuri."

great, add in the embarrassment of getting caught staring at a customer, and what you have is Yūri turning into a mess.

after no replies from Yūri, Victor kept talking: "I wanted to see you again, but I didn't want to be your customer."

they both stopped walking and Victor turned Yūri's head towards himself.

Yūri felt his knees go weak as the sincere aquamarine eyes gazed into his soul.

"I must be lucky to run into you like this."

"m-me too", Yūri finally stammered out.

the gentle smile on Victor's face grew slightly wider.

"I know this might all come out of the blue, but would you want to go on a date with me?"

Yūri blinked once, twice, even thrice. a date? he must've been dreaming this.

"seriously?"

a snort escaped the other man.

"yes, I'm serious."

"uh, yes, I'd love to..."

Victor let go of Yūri and took a step further away from him.

"how about dinner after your shift on Saturday?"

Yūri only nodded enthusiastically. his voice was lost somewhere inside him due to the shock. he could only watch as Victor waved his goodbye and started walking away with his dog.

"he asked you out!?" Phichit's exclamation filled the kitchen the next morning as they were rolling out dough.

"yes... he's taking me out tomorrow night", Yūri said quietly.

"what? where? when?"

the bombarding of questions made it seem like Phichit was more excited for the upcoming date than Yūri was himself.

"he's meeting me here after closing, and we'll go to dinner."

"ooh, how classy.... a dinner date. wonder where that'll end up~..."

the tone in Phichit's voice got the nerves in Yūri to wake up.

this would be his first proper date. how was he supposed to act? was he supposed to get something for his date? what would they even talk about?

maybe he should read a short guide on dating...

Phichit's voice cut through his thoughts: "you look like you're spiraling, Yūri... you okay?"

"...yes! I'm totally fine. I can go on a date with a crazy handsome guy who's clearly out of my league! no problem!"

the nervous laughter escaping his lips didn't help in convincing his friend. the pair of dark grey eyes only gave him a pitying look, as if to say he was thinking too deeply into this.

"you'll be fine. there's no need to think about it too hard, just act as you would normally."

the – without lying – almost dreaded Saturday evening drew close, and Yūri couldn't contain the butterflies in his stomach when the platinum haired gentleman stepped inside the café. his lips curled into a soft smile as his aquamarine eyes locked onto the man standing behind the counter.

Yūri felt like his knees might give out at any moment. somehow Victor's gaze on him was fierce and tender at the same time.

"Yuuuri", he spoke, and his voice was velvet against Yūri's ears, "are you ready to go?"

the black haired man could only nod as his heart was beating out of his chest. would Victor reach for his hand?

he didn't.

Yūri could feel disappointment settle into his chest as they walked side by side, with a gap in between.

Yūri felt as if he needed to close said gap. he couldn't stand feeling like he was too far to reach Victor even with the tip of his finger.

suddenly the other man stopped walking and their arms bumped into each other.

"we're here", Victor breathed out a small cloud of fog into the cold night air, "the best sushi in town."

the pair walked inside and were wrapped in the surprisingly warm ambience.

Victor led Yūri into a small table in a quiet corner, with a single candle and rose in the middle.

"I made us a reservation beforehand", he mentioned as if it was the most obvious thing to be done.

he even pulled out the other chair and motioned for Yūri to sit down.

the flutter returned to his heart as he took a seat and watched the graceful man sit down on the other side of the table. Yūri watched the flicker of candlelight dance on the flawless face as the blue eyes scanned through the menu.

the dinner date went on smoothly. conversation flowed naturally and the experience as a whole felt breezy to Yūri. he hadn't felt this exhilarated in possibly years – Victor really made him feel like there was a whole new world to be discovered.

to top the night off, Victor had offered to walk Yūri back to his own apartment.

"tonight was really lovely", the black haired man said quietly.

the taller one gazed into his eyes with a soft smile as they stood on the doorstep of the apartment building.

"yes, I had a wonderful time" the velvety voice sounded out as Yūri felt a gentle squeeze on his hands, "do you think I could take you out on another date?"

an exclamation was heard: "yes, absolutely!"

and a satisfied chuckle followed.

"get your skates ready for next weekend."

with that, Victor said goodbye, but his hands lingered on Yūri's for a moment longer before pulling away.

the barista stood still at the door. he could feel the cold air surround the skin on his hands again, without the warmth from Victor.

the days went by in a flash – Yūri tried to convince himself – when in reality this had felt like the longest week of his life. but like promised, on Friday afternoon, Victor took Yūri out to an ice skating rink.

"let me help you with those", he said before kneeling down and tying Yūri's skates.

"oh, thank you", Yūri mumbled while hiding his red cheeks into his wooly scarf, "it's been a while since I last went ice skating."

"that's okay. I'll help you", Victor assured, giving a gentle look to the other man while offering his hand.

Yūri took the hand, and he was lead to the ice. his knees felt weak, but the hands holding him up were like a strong force supporting him.

little by little, Yūri did get comfortable on the slippery surface. and by the time Victor finally let him go, he was able to skate smoothly without falling over.

"great job, Yuuuri, look at you go!" Victor encouraged him with the signature gentle smile.

and when Yūri looked at the smile, he could feel his heart melting away into a puddle, filling his whole chest with warmth.

it was a completely new feeling to Yūri. everytime he was with Victor, he could feel the excitement bubbling up inside.

that was until a vital piece of information was revealed.

maybe Yūri shouldn't have asked what Victor did for a living. he wasn't prepared to hear that Victor worked for the exact law firm, which had been tormenting the café and its owner for years. for some reason they'd been set on finding the slightest reason to get the café shut down.

was Victor just trying to get to close to him in hopes of making a new discovery? or obtaining some delicate information?

Yūri's head started brewing a storm of doubts and disbelief. he couldn't understand how good of an actor Victor had been.

and it seemed like the platinum haired man noticed something going on.

"Yuuuri, what's wrong?"

"I- I think I... I need to go", Yūri stammered out before stumbling off the ice.

he kicked the skates off as fast as he could, hoping Victor wouldn't be able to run after him.

but just as he was leaving, Victor grabbed his wrist.

"Yūri, please, talk to me. what happened back there? is my occupation a problem?"

Yūri took a few shaky breaths before replying: "don't pretend like you don't know... how could you just be using me? playing with my feelings? I really liked you, but knowing this was all fake breaks my heart."

he yanked his hand free and ran away, tears almost freezing on his cheeks as they escaped his eyes.

there was a pit in his chest, where there used to be warmth.

after that, Yūri didn't see Victor for another week. with each passing day, he did want to see the platinum haired man more.

it made him feel conflicted.

why would he want to see someone who was only messing around with him?

had he already lost all sense to being charmed by the gentleman?

yes, he had, Phichit had told him.

he'd also said Yūri needed something called closure. if things were to be left like this, it would be unsatisfying and Yūri would keep wondering about the what ifs even years later.

his friend was probably right, considering out of the two he had more experience with romance.

and as Christmas eve drew close, Yūri was as absorbed into his work as ever. the only thing he allowed himself to worry about were the cats of the café.

and as he was working at the counter, the bell tinged.

once he looked up to see the customer, he saw those painfully familiar aquamarine eyes. his heart almost stopped beating for a moment.

Victor stood at the doorstep, a bouquet of amaryllis, a couple poinsettias, cymbidium orchids, and to top it off; red roses.

and as if Phichit had changed the song of his own accord, one of the most well known American Christmas songs started playing.

the tall man took hefty steps, crossing the wooden plank floor to hand the bouquet to the barista.

"all I want for Christmas is you", Mariah Carey sang through the speakers.

"Yūri, will you please let me explain myself to you?"

after what felt like ages, but was only a few seconds in reality, Yūri gave Victor a nod. he couldn't help but feel curious about what the man had to say for himself.

and once they had stepped outside together, Victor began explaining.

he elaborated how he'd had no idea the firm he was employed by was fighting against this specific café, how he had been kept completely in the dark about everything related to it until he asked around about it.

"I wanted to get to the bottom of it, so I could understand your side, and I realize what it must have looked like to you now", Victor said carefully, "but I promise I've been serious this whole time."

Victor reached out to grab Yūri's hand, lifting his other one to the black haired man's cheek. the hands were cold, but still they managed to spread warmth onto Yūri's skin.

he had to admit he had been missing Victor's touch. maybe now he didn't need to long for it anymore.

"Yuuuri, will you give me another chance?" Victor spoke softly while leaning closer.

"yes, Victor, I'm sorry for judging you so fast..."

he really did feel guilty. Victor had been innocent the whole time, but Yūri had let his doubts get the best of him.

the aquamarine eyes were staring into his soul – or at least that's what it felt like – and Yūri felt the most vulnerable he ever had before.

that's when Victor said it: "I'm not going to wait for rain for me to kiss you."

OMG HIIII!!!! 🥰🥰 my week was rlly tiring and today was my day off so im very well rested hehe and to answer ur question(s): i have two animangas that no one could Ever tell me they aren't good because i know in my heart and soul that they're really fucking good, jujutsu kaisen and haikyuu.

why jjk? they put one of the, if not THE, most strong villains inside the body of the protagonist and his fights are with himself AND the bad guys while he's also trying to just process everything that life is throwing at him (more like life is throwing HIM-). the animanga is basically there are consequences to your actions but taken to the extreme, and honestly? could ask for nothing better LMFAOOOOO. anygays, my fav characters are fushiguro megumi and zenin maki, both parts of my favourite ships, itafushi and nobamaki (well wasn't that one obvious)!!! i do love almost every dynamic in this animanga, but something that i hold dear and near to my heart is itadori and nanami's mentor and mentee (is that the word-) relationship!!!!

and why haikyuu? well, it's all about the highs and lows of high school volleyball- JUST KIDDING SKDJSKDN it really is the power of friendship that made me fall deep into this hole here im ngl to u anon, i saw these teenagers help each other break through walls they didn't even realise they had to destroy and i was like. yup that's the one. that's the animanga that will be taking all my free time. it's all about how hinata selflessly helps others because of how much he loves volleyball, to the point that he doesn't want other people to fall out of love of it just because they have a hard time playing it, going step by step with them and making it fun!!!!!! it's every single character having personalities and goals and feelings that aren't made to be irrational or dumb!!!!!!!! it's the love letter furudate wrote to volleyball when he wrote this manga and the attention he put to every detail so people would also fall in love with volleyball when reading it!!!!!!! okay okay i'll stop i can get very emotional talking about hq,,,, some of my favourite characters are (of course) hinata shouyou, miya atsumu and oikawa tooru!!! they're all part of my fav ships as well, kagehina, sakuatsu (sighs in deluluism) and iwaoi!!! also, i really love the dynamic between the karasuno team <3 my babies <3

tbh I wouldn't even say I'm "trying" to watch anything this season lmao I gave up trying to keep up a very long time ago. the only one I even remotely tried keeping up with was Spy x Family, but even that one I fell behind on after a few episodes despite how much I enjoy the series. I'll definitely catch up with that one once the season is done airing though.

yeah Christmas music is such an important part of the season for me but I have a pretty specific taste in that genre of music haha which I why I have a playlist. living in a place that gets lots of snow can be really nice because it's so pretty and it makes the Christmas season even better, but it can definitely be a huge hindrance too for sure. we hardly ever got significant snowfall back where I grew up, so white Christmases were never really a thing when I was a kid so it's been nice to have them as an adult~

I mean, I struggle to even watch the shorter stuff that's been on my to-watch list for YEARS so I honestly doubt One Piece will ever happen for me. xD but hey, who knows! I know plenty of people who absolutely love it, and my brother also enjoys it, so who knows what the future will bring haha.

as for faves regarding HQ!! and SNK, Hinata and Kageyama and my babies and I adore them with every fiber of my being, but I also really love Kuroo and Nishinoya, and Mikasa and Levi are my queen and king~ what about you?? we've talked a lot about BNHA but who are some other fave characters of yours?

and yeah I totally agree with you regarding Hawks, he deserves so much more love and appreciation. he's been through so much shit throughout his life and he tries SO HARD to do good however he can despite constantly being manipulated by the HPSC and forced to do things that he doesn't necessarily want to do. speaking of Endeavor though... what are your thoughts on him? 👀 I personally can't stand him and the fact that Hawks as a character is so linked to him throughout the story just... hrg;kahgrjabs I absolutely hate it and I do wish we had seen SOME sort of backlash after Dabi's broadcast, especially from Hawks himself, but nothing seems to have changed at all?? I'd love to hear your thoughts regarding that whole situation~

Aww I love spy x family too, its the perfect balance of heartwarming and funny. Really enjoy the whole forgers family, but even the other characters like Damien I just want to learn more about them!! Hope you'll enjoy when you catch up!

What's your fav music genre? That's so cool you get white christmas now! I'd like to spend one with that one day too. But omg I keep hearing about everyone at freezing temperatures for xmas this year but apparently where I'm at it's going to be quite warm this week. 😅 At least traveling is easy here ha ha.

Ahaha again, totally understandable about OP. There's a ton on my watch list that I'm still waiting for the "right mood" for and haven't started either. I wonder what your favorite animanga is? 👀

Oh hell yeah, all your HQ favs are my favs too!! lol. Hinata is a complete sunshine and literally deserves everything good in the world. I think he's so motivational and really makes you feel like you can do anything haha. And Kageyama was my love at first sight in HQ bcus I have a type and his misunderstood personality speaks to me alsjdkkdd lol. I also love his character development a lot. And Kuroo, his personality, his looks...he's perfect. I also predictably loved that Kuroo's VA in japanese is also Hawks'. ^^ And Nishinoya is just so damn cool and reliable, he's the best! Anyways I really love almost everyone in HQ tho, sports anime always makes me feel that way lol. Idk if you've seen Run with the Wind, but it reminds me a lot of HQ too, so I highly recommend. It's only one season and the main character is such a Kageyama clone too but the story is very satisfying. 💛

And for SNK, Levi and Eren have been my favs since 2013 lol. I love their tragic pasts bound by duty, the way they grew up how no one should've, their personality and need to be free, I love that they never give up and their dynamics with each other. SNK's plot of no clear cut black and white of villains, but watching Eren go from hero to antihero, was incredibly interesting. And at the end of the day, despite what he does is unforgiveably wrong...he just wanted to protect the people most important to him and its really an impossible choice. And Levi is one of the biggest badass so I liked him instantly. When you think super cool character, its easily him!! But you also learn his mistakes, his flaws, his emotions that crack through his inital cold exterior when he's anything but. And like that just makes me feel things, they're both very much human with the weight of too much on their shoulders despite the monsters they're described to be. So I have a very soft spot for them even though I don't paritucularly enjoy the fandom anymore (it turned too toxic). 😅

Besides the favs I mentioned on my last ask, hmm to expand on some of them, one of the reason I like Trafalgar Law from One Piece is because he reminds me a LOT of Levi tbh lolol 😉. The tragic past, the personality, the way he's so damn cool when he fights ...and they even have the same VA too. 😂

And to mention a few more favs,

FMAB - I loveeee Roy Mustang and Ed Elric most but also Greed/Ling.

MP 100 - Ughh I'm deep in feels since the anime just ended 🥲 but MOB is so precious.

Anyways!! OH MAN, my thoughts on Hawks and Endeavor..hahah. So I don't like Endeavor at all, but I also don't really think about him much and it doesn't bother me that Hawks is there and interacts with him in the plot because to me it speaks volumes about Hawks' character and not Endeavor. I know there's a lot of people mad that we don't see Hawks react negatively to the situation after Dabi's broadcast. But I also think people have to realize they're in the middle of literal war. Hawks, who has always been manipulated, conditioned and grew up in non conventional ways, who had probably never processed anything in his life—from his personal abuse from his parents and HSPC to what he had to do as a solider and probably a lot more if we look at Lady Nagants' hints, I think hes very good at ignoring his own feelings. He's the fastest hero literally also because I think he never takes a moment to stop, to breathe. He's always in fight for survival mode, he's always trying to do the next thing, to "be of use" (and I think after being told "what use are you" as a kid, he can't help but do this) and it shows. Even when we see him after the injures from Dabi, he's barely recovered but he's already up and about without his voice before, and now with prosthetic wings on a battlefield with the main villain. He'll really do anything including shoving his own feelings away if it means helping everyone else and he's just doing what he's always been taught to do—focus on the mission (AFO in this case). Given the war, of course he still helps Endeavor fight. But beyond that I think he says if he wants to change he'll help is because think about it -- Hawks own parents never did this. He never got answers, he never got any form of redemption from them, they never so much as apologized or recognized him in his entire life. So seeing Endeavor trying to do that? I think Hawks is very much projecting himself into Todorokis family, because he never had someone even try in his own family to reconcile on him. And he himself feels like *he's* the one that turned his back on his parents, when it was obviously the other way around. There's a lot of complicated layers and history that I think people have to understand about Hawks that makes him do what he does. I of course would LOVE to see him break down and react to everything that's ever happened to him and I hope they'll show it, but we'll see. I like mostly of where the plot is and I think there's still room for a lot of what's to come including Hawks changing/processing everything.

I feel like there will be a breaking point soon, where the "old" heroes and society will see how they've been wrong all along. It's not heroes vs. villains when a lot of the villains have been mistreated and discarded by society. I very much think the theme here is, changing and helping people like Toga, Dabi. Shigaraki who was not inherently evil the way AFO is. And that includes Hawks changing, consequences for Endeavor (I hope, after this basially apocalypse theyre fighting to end.) That's my thoughts anyways lol.

Thats so impressive that you're all caught up! I want to be, but there are so many chapters. My brain is overwhelmed thinking about it. All of your favorite characters are top tied but you had me at Tamaki and Todoroki. I am a softie for Tamaki/Mirio. And yes! We love a feral king. I think he was just so well written and complex that it pulls at everyone's heart strings. Even if just a little.

I’m enjoying it so far! I don’t think I have a favorite character, really. I’m not actually that far, so I haven’t made much judgement on the characters yet. Who’s yours?

I prefer ships. I’m not a big fan of self-insert. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read plenty of cool ones. I just feel kind of awkward about it.

I especially like fluff, hurt/comfort, and sometimes angst. Smut is alright when I come across it, but it’s not something I really search for. I’m not against it though. Hurt/comfort really tugs at my heartstrings, especially when it’s emotional.

Enemies to lovers is great, but definitely best suited for slow burns. Childhood friends to lovers is really cute (you can see why I’m a big fan of Tamaki/Mirio). Coffee shop au is kind of cliché, but when it’s written well, it goes hard. Mutual pining is great. So is bed sharing. I love when characters argue and then reconcile. right now i'm really enjoying spy x family and chainsaw man!! sxf is so wholesome and funny, and i really admire how much work they put into animating csm (i’ve also come to really like the cast of characters)! i’d love to know more about what anime you’re enjoying this fall too 👀♡
