How do you deal with anxiety and 3d?
I'm in a dark place rn :(
Sweetie, I understand. I've been through dark times too, times so tough that it felt like only a miracle could pull me through. But, unexpectedly, that miracle came slowly and from my own hands, through changes in my lifestyle. Let me share what saved me:
1. Evaluate the quality of your relationships.
Ask yourself whether the relationships you have truly support, uplift, and make you feel safe. If they don’t, it may be time to distance yourself from them. While it’s tough to cut ties, it’s crucial for your mental health. However, if it’s a family member, working on healing those bonds with patience and love can often lead to better outcomes.
2. Re-establish a deep connection with nature.
There’s strong evidence that spending time in nature reduces anxiety and stress. Practices like gardening, forest bathing (a Japanese practice known as Shinrin-yoku), and simply observing wildlife or becoming passionate about an area of the natural world (be it animals, plants, or fungi) can significantly improve mental clarity and emotional well-being. Nature exposure has been proven to reduce cortisol levels (the stress hormone), while increasing feelings of calm and focus.
3. Eliminate social media like Instagram and TikTok, or limit your use of them.
Social media platforms can create a false reality that fosters anxiety, comparison, and negative self-perception. Research shows that reducing social media use can decrease symptoms of depression and improve life satisfaction. While it might mean losing certain connections or the allure of a curated, aesthetically pleasing profile, your mental health and sense of self-worth will greatly benefit.
4. Value the people who value you, and treat them with kindness.
Meaningful and supportive relationships boost our oxytocin levels, the “love hormone,” which directly counteracts stress and anxiety. Positive interactions foster a sense of belonging, which is essential for emotional well-being. Treating those who support you with kindness strengthens these connections, creating a cycle of support and positivity.
5. Treat yourself with gentleness.
Your body is a temple that deserves care, respect, and love. Research into self-compassion shows that people who practice kindness towards themselves in difficult times experience lower levels of anxiety and depression. Nourish yourself—this includes everything from maintaining a healthy diet to engaging in regular physical activity. Be patient with yourself; healing takes time, but with perseverance, it comes.
6. Start cooking meals from scratch with wholesome ingredients.
Science supports the idea that what we eat directly impacts how we feel. Cooking from scratch with whole foods—such as legumes, whole grains, and vegetables—ensures that your body gets essential nutrients that promote brain health, like omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, and B vitamins. Frequenting farmer’s markets or investing in quality, nutritious ingredients supports both your body and mind.
7. Meditate and keep a journal.
Both meditation and journaling are powerful tools for mental health. Meditation has been shown to increase gray matter in areas of the brain related to self-awareness and emotional regulation, helping reduce anxiety and increase emotional resilience. Journaling allows you to process thoughts, release stress, and reflect on your growth over time.
8. Walk in nature every day.
If you live in the city, even walking in urban parks can help. Regular nature walks lower anxiety, reduce rumination (repetitive negative thoughts), and improve mood. Physical movement, combined with the calming environment of nature, helps release endorphins, the body's natural feel-good chemicals.
These habits, taken together, create a foundation of mental and physical well-being. The science behind each of them is sound, and incorporating them into your life can truly create that miracle you're looking for—one that comes slowly, from within, and built by your own hands.

Big fat typical AO3-style life update:
I am no longer engaged... I am married ! We had an intimate elopement in the mountains in late March 2024. My husband and I live busy days in our house/condo and the flex of being a homeowner at 23 in the Canadian housing market is the only thing keeping me going when rotten lettuce is $4.99 at the store. Fret not as even though I am a wife to a living man I'm still going to write my smut and love stories about pixelated anime boys LOL
We travelled Japan, Thailand, & Taiwan together and will be re-visiting Japan & Thailand as well as S. Korea (for the first time) later this year - recommendations highly welcomed~
I'm finally taking the risk and dropping my pointage as a full time OR RN to part time so I can travel, get back into fitness/taking care of myself instead of others, have hobbies and freedoms... yenno the things that make life worth living instead of living to work ? I'm afraid of the income drop but luckily my husband can take care of us which will allow me to finally take care of me for the first time in my life :,) props to everybody in medicine/healthcare that can handle being full time but it wasn't me & that's ok.
I've been reconnecting with old friends (both online and irls) and it's been so, so nice. I mentioned it in old updates but going from lots of socialization and feeling popular as a teen to barely having anybody in my circle and struggling to meet new people now - I think this sense of confused loneliness is just a hallmark of your twenties; the uncomfortable yet necessary pain that drives you to growth. I used to know exactly which niches I was meant to fill as a teen. I have no idea who I am now that I've achieved everything the teenage version of me wanted to achieve... I'm not even sure who I want to become anymore...
... & that's ok! Life is meant to be discovered and lived, not scripted.
As always I wish everybody happiness & health, and that my inbox is open for anything from anybody ! It's lonely out here when your colleagues aren't chronically online so brainrotting on Tumblr w/ the weeb community is so much more satisfying TT

The phone or computer you’re reading this on may not be long for this world. Maybe you’ll drop it in water, or your dog will make a chew toy of it, or it’ll reach obsolescence. If you can’t repair it and have to discard it, the device will become e-waste, joining an alarmingly large mountain of defunct TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, cameras, routers, electric toothbrushes, headphones. This is “electrical and electronic equipment,” aka EEE—anything with a plug or battery. It’s increasingly out of control.
As economies develop and the consumerist lifestyle spreads around the world, e-waste has turned into a full-blown environmental crisis. People living in high-income countries own, on average, 109 EEE devices per capita, while those in low-income nations have just four. A new UN report finds that in 2022, humanity churned out 137 billion pounds of e-waste—more than 17 pounds for every person on Earth—and recycled less than a quarter of it.
That also represents about $62 billion worth of recoverable materials, like iron, copper, and gold, hitting e-waste landfills each year. At this pace, e-waste will grow by 33 percent by 2030, while the recycling rate could decline to 20 percent. (You can see this growth in the graph below: purple is EEE on the market, black is e-waste, and green is what gets recycled.)
“What was really alarming to me is that the speed at which this is growing is much quicker than the speed that e-waste is properly collected and recycled,” says Kees Baldé, a senior scientific specialist at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research and lead author of the report. “We just consume way too much, and we dispose of things way too quickly. We buy things we may not even need, because it's just very cheap. And also these products are not designed to be repaired.”
Humanity has to quickly bump up those recycling rates, the report stresses. In the first pie chart below, you can see the significant amount of metals we could be saving, mostly iron (chemical symbol Fe, in light gray), along with aluminum (Al, in dark gray), copper (Cu), and nickel (Ni). Other EEE metals include zinc, tin, and antimony. Overall, the report found that in 2022, generated e-waste contained 68 billion pounds of metal.
E-waste is a complex thing to break down: A washing machine is made of totally different components than a TV. And even for product categories, not only do different brands use different manufacturing processes, but even different models within those brands vary significantly. A new washing machine has way more sensors and other electronics than one built 30 years ago.
Complicating matters even further, e-waste can contain hazardous materials, like cobalt, flame retardants, and lead. The report found that each year, improperly processed e-waste releases more than 125,000 pounds of mercury alone, imperiling the health of humans and other animals. “Electronic waste is an extremely complex waste stream,” says Vanessa Gray, head of the Environment and Emergency Telecommunications Division at the UN’s International Telecommunication Union and an author of the report. “You have a lot of value in electronic waste, but you also have a lot of toxic materials that are dangerous to the environment.”
That makes recycling e-waste a dangerous occupation. In low- and middle-income countries, informal e-waste recyclers might go door-to-door collecting the stuff. To extract valuable metals, they melt down components without proper safety equipment, poisoning themselves and the environment. The new report notes that in total, 7.3 billion pounds of e-waste is shipped uncontrolled globally, meaning its ultimate management is unknown and likely not done in an environmentally friendly way. Of that, high-income countries shipped 1.8 billion pounds to low- and middle-income countries in 2022, swamping them with dangerous materials.
High-income countries have some of this informal recycling, but they also have formal facilities where e-waste is sorted and safely broken down. Europe, for example, has fairly high formal e-waste recycling rates, at about 43 percent. But globally, recycling is happening nowhere near enough to keep up with the year-over-year growth of the waste. Instead of properly mining EEE for metals, humanity keeps mining more ore out of the ground.
Still, the report found that even the small amount of e-waste that currently gets recycled avoided the mining of 2 trillion pounds of ore for virgin metal in 2022. (It takes a lot of ore to produce a little bit of metal.) The more metals we can recycle from e-waste, the less mining we’ll need to support the proliferation of gadgets. That would in turn avoid the greenhouse gases from such mining operations, plus losses of biodiversity.
The complexity of e-waste, though, makes it expensive to process. As the chart above shows, even an ambitious scenario of a formal e-waste collection rate in 2030 is 44 percent. “There is no business case for companies to just collect e-waste and to make a profit out of this in a sustainable manner,” says Baldé. “They can only survive if there is legislation in place which is also compensating them.”
The report notes that 81 countries have e-waste policies on the books, and of those, 67 have provisions regarding extended producer responsibility, or EPR. This involves fees paid by manufacturers of EEE that would go toward e-waste management.
Of course, people could also stop throwing so many devices away in the first place, something right-to-repair advocates have spent years fighting for. Batteries, for instance, lose capacity after a certain number of charge cycles. If a phone can’t hold a charge all day anymore, customers should be able to swap in a new battery. “Manufacturers shouldn't be able to put artificial limitations on that ability,” says Elizabeth Chamberlain, director of sustainability at iFixit, which provides repair guides and tools. That includes limiting access to parts and documentation. “Repair is a harm-reduction strategy. It's not the be-all-end-all solution, but it's one of many things we need to do as a global society to slow down the rate at which we're demanding things of the planet.”
At the core of the e-waste crisis is the demand: A growing human population needs phones to communicate and fridges to keep food safe and heat pumps to stay comfortable indoors. So first and foremost we need high-quality products that don’t immediately break down, but also the right to repair when they do. And what absolutely can’t be fixed needs to move through a safe, robust e-waste recycling system. “We are consuming so much,” says Baldé, “we cannot really recycle our way out of the problem.”

Sustainable Farming Practices: A Pathway to Future Food Security
In the face of growing global challenges such as climate change, population growth, and depleting natural resources, the need for sustainable farming practices has never been more critical. Agriculture remains the backbone of many economies, but traditional farming methods often contribute to environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, and soil erosion. To secure the future of food production, sustainable farming offers a transformative solution that balances productivity with environmental stewardship.
1. The Importance of Soil Health
Healthy soil is the foundation of sustainable farming. Through techniques such as crop rotation, cover cropping, and reduced tillage, farmers can improve soil structure, enhance its ability to retain water, and reduce erosion. The integration of organic matter into the soil also promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms, contributing to long-term soil fertility.
2. Water Management: Reducing Waste and Preserving Resources
Effective water management is crucial for sustainable agriculture. Traditional irrigation methods often lead to water waste, but sustainable practices like drip irrigation, rainwater harvesting, and the use of drought-resistant crops can significantly reduce water usage. Precision agriculture technologies, such as soil moisture sensors, allow farmers to optimize water application, ensuring crops receive only what they need, when they need it.
3. Biodiversity: Enhancing Ecosystem Resilience
Biodiversity plays a key role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and improving the resilience of farming systems. By incorporating diverse crops and livestock, farmers can reduce the risk of pest outbreaks and diseases. Agroforestry, which integrates trees into farming systems, enhances biodiversity while providing additional income streams, such as timber and fruit production.
4. Reducing Chemical Dependency
Sustainable farming promotes the reduction of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, which can harm the environment and human health. Alternatives like integrated pest management (IPM) use biological control methods, such as beneficial insects, to manage pests. Additionally, organic farming methods focus on natural soil amendments and composting to enrich the land without harmful chemicals.
5. Renewable Energy in Agriculture
The shift to renewable energy sources is becoming an essential aspect of sustainable farming. Solar panels, wind turbines, and bioenergy can power farming operations, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Many farms are now integrating renewable energy technologies to achieve self-sufficiency while also contributing to environmental conservation.
6. The Role of Technology in Sustainable Farming
Advances in agricultural technology are playing a transformative role in sustainability efforts. Precision farming tools, such as GPS-guided tractors, drones for crop monitoring, and automated irrigation systems, help farmers optimize inputs and maximize efficiency. These innovations not only increase productivity but also minimize waste and environmental impact.
7. Promoting Local and Organic Markets
Sustainable farming goes hand in hand with the promotion of local and organic food markets. Supporting local farmers reduces the carbon footprint associated with food transportation and encourages the consumption of fresh, seasonal produce. Additionally, organic farming practices prioritize animal welfare, soil health, and chemical-free food production, contributing to a healthier food system.
Conclusion
Sustainable farming practices offer a viable solution to the challenges facing modern agriculture. By prioritizing soil health, efficient water use, biodiversity, and renewable energy, farmers can produce food in a way that safeguards the environment for future generations. The integration of technology further enhances the potential for sustainable farming to meet global food demands while reducing the ecological footprint of agriculture. The adoption of these practices is not just a necessity for the future of farming—it is a pathway to long-term food security and environmental sustainability.

So I was thinking about how post canon Inuyasha and Miroku consistently take on demon extermination jobs and (I assume) get a decent amount of $hmoney.
I imagine that Miroku is in his element (😂 He’s finally useful and we don’t even get to see it in action!) and is incredibly well suited for swindling a good deal. Especially now that he’s a father of 3 ! ! !
I like the idea of them being well off and bringing in some wealth that benefits the entire village. And Inuyasha is around so they have so much more protection. Idk if it’s just the anime but these villages were really bare bones! The door was a flapping piece of cloth! Kagome would want a door.
Like what if the village grew and gained some attention bc of the gangs deeds.
Augh! I wish we got to see more of the villagers so I could speculate what resources they had access to. Like we’re they farmers?
Anyway I like picturing the village having a big enough crowd where they’d start celebrating festivals and drawing traders, opening up shops and markets ect ect.
Like would Inuyasha help gather resources to support them? Go hunting for them or join their groups and help? It’s cute thinking about how they would appreciate his yokai senses and protection. It means well fed villagers and fortification against the winter months. Like life is hard in this time period so I think this would be a big deal!
Oooo and it’s easy to picture Kagome and Miroku schooling the villager kids about herbs, writing, reading, or like idk health? Like it would start with them teaching their own children and there’s a natural progression of kids joining in on their sessions.
And does this growth affect the timeline in anyway? What if they are securing Tokyo’s future by protecting this village 😂 This is technically the same spot in the future right?
#so many fucking questions#inuyasha#I’m emotionally burnt out this week#so I indulge in post canon brain rot#ramble

Holiday Break Productivity
As a lady born in the year of the "Horse" 🐎, it is a natural characteristic of ours to always do something productive, even during breaks. This holiday break should have been a rest or game day for me, but instead I practiced my drawing skill and continued reading "Ikigai," which I hadn't opened in weeks.
I've been practicing different "emotions or feelings" in chibi, as I haven't drawn chibis in a while.
I used to sketch "anime" rather than chibis or illustration back in elementary because I was a big fan of ✨ 90s anime ✨ like Fushigi Yuugi, Ghost Fighter, Ranma 1/2, Flame of Recca, Hell Teacher Nūbē, Oh my Goddess!, Sakura CardCaptor, Boys Be, Gatekeepers, Slam Dunk, HunterxHunter, Sailor Moon, and many more.
Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of my sketches today because I used to draw on notebooks or pad papers - I remember back in primary school, my classmates would pay me PHP 5.00 - 20.00 💰💰💰 (yup! business-minded since I was a kid 🤣) to draw their favorite anime which technically honed my skill in creating anime art and marketing/sales, but as I grew older, I outgrown drawing animes and now I prefer to draw still life or illustrations/chibis since I love anything kawaii and sketching beautiful landscape or places.
Book Review: Ikigai (Chapter 1 to 3)
I promised myself to finish this book by May 🎯; please don't get me wrong, on why I'm still not done reading this book its because I didn't have a time for reading this past few weeks due to my workload (my job), but this holiday I made sure to allocate 3-4 hours just to read this book and discovered that...
Ikigai is one of my favorite book out of my 7 new self-development books and I am now currently on Chapter 4: How to turn work and free time into space of growth - very timely to what I need nowadays, isn't it? 😀
To give you an idea why I love this book so far, one of the reason is that it tackles on how we determine our life's purpose and reasons to live more, like the centenarians in Okinawa, Japan. It also emphasize the importance of maintaining physical health by staying active even after we reach the age of 60, since sedentary lifestyle can lead to hypertension, imbalanced diet, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and even some cancers. Sleep plays an important role in how we can slow the aging process and build our immune system because "melatonin" is a powerful antioxidant in our bodies that contains an ingredient that protects us from cancer, Alzheimer's disease, aging, and other diseases.
This book also discussed "Logotherapy," a therapy developed by Victor Frankl that focuses on people's search for meaning in life. Unlike other therapies, logotherapy takes a spiritual approach. Frankl's logotherapy incorporates three philosophical and psychological concepts: freedom of will, will to meaning, and meaning in life.
Freedom of will asserts that we have the ability to chose and take action in response to both internal and external circumstances.
Will to meaning states that we have the freedom to follow our goal and purposes in life, which means this is our major motive for existing and doing, allowing us to bear pain and suffering.
Meaning in life is a subjective experience, but the meanings exist within us and waiting to be realized by us in any moment or in any situation.
One of the therapies that this book also tackles is the "Morita Therapy," a therapy based on the Buddhist perspective and developed by Dr. Shoma Morita, wherein the therapy focuses more on accepting the fluctuations of thoughts and feelings, embracing negative emotions, and learning how to blend with nature - if you ask me, it is quite similar to what we've learned from Grandmaster Lao Tzu (Taoism) which is
"Go with the flow, Be like water 🌊"
Sounds very profound, isn't it? 🤔 The first time I heard that, I was perplexed: how and why be like water? Then our Grandmaster taught us the value of being fluid, soft, and flexible in any situation, just like water, which takes shape wherever you put it and can adjust to any environmental changes.
Change is inevitable and if you resist it, problems will arise in your life and that's why our ancient philosophers taught us the importance of adaptability, because change is constant and not fixed; our lives are the result of constant change in our environment, feelings, emotions, interpersonal relationships, religion, and so on, and those who adapt easily win life, whereas others rot in the past, are unable to move on with their lives, and are depressed.
Like "Morita Therapy," embrace the imperfections in your life, welcome them with open arms, and acknowledge that the sentiments or emotions you're experiencing are valid. Simply accept how things are and then figure out how to mend them or overcome your own demons.
I'm about halfway through the book, but I'm looking forward to get more insights and teachings from Ikigai.
I definitely suggest this book to everyone who has ever felt empty on the inside, unable to discover their purpose in life, or simply lost.
Sincerely, Ayei 🌻
